Dr. Sigsbee is a great teacher and that's an understatement. He really cares about his students and listens to them. He's very reasonable and his tests are not hard. He does everything in his power to help you succeed. He's funny and kind and very smart. I recommend taking his classes even if you don't need to.

I just finished the fall semester taking Mr. Sigsbee?s Lifespan PSYC class and I highly recommend him. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and he gives out test reviews, too. Honestly, I believe that it would be hard to get a bad grade in his class, unless you are trying to fail.

Took Prof Sigsbee online for Summer I. READ the material. This class is an eye-opener. Just when you thought you knew something. Discussion boards are above-average! Test are straight forward but not a cake walk. READ! Prof Sigsbee helps however he can. Ans emails quickly too!

Sigsbee is AWESOME! I took 2306 maymester online we covered 18 chps,DB's,and he gives extra credit. It is alot of work but this class is AMAZING, and I LOVED it. This class was well organized and interesting with plenty of class discussion. The instructor was great at making students feel at ease and encourages everyone to participate. He gives a great deal of extra credit and the tests are straight forward. There is no reason not to do well in his class. I would happily take any class he is teaching.

Professor Bill Sigsbee is a God gifted person. Professor like him is very low in Brookhaven College. He is very intelligent, very kind, and funny. Future students must respect him. He knows every students motions and behaviors. He hates ringing cell phones during his lecture time. But remember any other cheating will never work infront of him.

Sigsbee is by far the best professor I had. He is open to question after class and always answer emails. His test are 50 questions and multiple choice, if you read your notes and the book chapters you will be fine, plus he gives a lot of easy extra credit. Plus his lecture are not boring so it easy to keep up.

Excellent Professor. I take online classes from UNT and from DCCCD and let me tell you this professor knows how to run an online course. And he responds to emails and answers questions. Great Class, Great Teacher. Took a flex class and even with the whole class crammed into a month it was still very doable.

I've taken Prof. Sigsbee twice for Psyc 2306 & 2314. He is by far one of the best teachers I've ever had. He shows genuine care & concern for all of his students, knows his subject well and makes it at as interesting as possible. He is fair and gives great extra credit assignments. I took Human Sexuality online with Dr. Sigsbee. Overall, the course was good. But I will have to say that you should be prepared to read the book. It was not an easy class, especially because I took it over winter term and it was very fast paced. He had discussions which I thought were very interesting and gives feedback on these discussions.

He is one of the rarest professors you would come in your lifetime, that will always have life advice for you. The kind of professors that stick to you for life. Kind of like: Mr. Feeny in Boy Meets World, or Mr. Rogers that created PBS Arthur. Interacting in his classes is the best way to learn, and he applies it to the lecture!

Oh my gosh, hands down the best teacher I've ever had. Very VERY clear with everything he says and he makes class SO interesting. If you pay attention and take notes you're bound to pass. Participation is half the grade so make sure you're in class. Tests aren't hard if you do the study guide. He grades leniently and gives you a chance for trying!

Professor Sigsbee is very clear about what he expects. He always emails to remind you of when things are due, and he always emails responses to your work. He seems to care a lot about his students. If you do what he tells you then you can get an A. The subject is interesting and there is only one, very simple essay (but broken into parts).

Extremely quick to reply to emails, helpful, encouraging, great feedback on assignments. The assignments themselves were interesting. I didn't like the textbook- but that's not the prof's fault. LOL If you are responsible and do the work, you will make an A and it will be a fun and interesting class, light workload if you don't mind reading book.

I took the online course for human sexuality. He allows at your own pace. He puts the suggested time period for the assignments but that's just suggested. Discussions have to be done on a timely manner though. Overall the class is good. The only thing I didn't like was the quizzes were timed for only 15 minutes. I still got a A though.

There was a lot of work to do, very well explained lectures, very interesting and the voice he uses is firm, at first I was a little nervous, but then I saw that he cares about students understanding what's being taught. I was able to see that other students also considered him a insructor with an amazing knowledge and experience, as I did.

I loved this class! The textbook was really interesting, the discussion board questions were all thought provoking and I enjoyed considering my responses. He gave excellent /encouraging feedback to assignments which showed he had truly read what I wrote. If you want to work ahead, that is doable- I finished 2 weeks early! I'd take his class again!

Toke him online. He was always sending emails about assignments and due dates. Thier is a lot of reading for the test, but he lets you take it three times to get the highest grade. (all test can be found online) He is truly caring and would always go the extra mile to make sure his students pass and are offered assistance.

I LOVED Prof Sigsbee! I'm so glad my friend recommended me for him. I took him for my wintermester class and it was super easy to get a good grade and I'm glad especially since I work full time. He gives amazing feedback. Only downside is everything he has on his ecampus is kind of hard to navigate at first. Other than that he's fantastic!

A good instructor who will give you a lot of reading and a lot of tests. However, he does give you the tools to get a good grade on every test. The extra credit he gives can help move your grade to another letter grade but it is not easy. It requires, even more, reading but, he gives you the tools. Great class, learned alot and great instruction.

This class is a pre-req for nursing majors at Brookhaven and if you can, take Professor Sigsbee! He is very clear and conscice as to how he expects things to be graded, and if you find an interest in the class, you will not only enjoy it but find that what he asks as a bare min is super easy!

Best Professor at Brookhaven college hands down. You will definitely not regret taking his classes. I had failed psychology a few times but his lectures were so interesting that you will definitely learn a lot . Participation matters as he takes quizes throughout the lecture but that helps as well since you're more focused on the lecture.

Take the class. Prof. Sigsbee's syllabus is very clear. Read the syllabus, there are no surprises. He provides good feedback and hold you accountable. Is the class easy, no- but you will learn the concepts of the Psych subject and be more knowledgeable coming out of the class. You can pass- he does not make it difficult.

I took 2301 and 2314, both online with Professor Sigsbee during short spring semester. Came out with A's with ease. I read through all the reviews and felt I would be able to do both classes with no issues. Super good teacher, sends a lot of emails for reminders on whats/when due. Also gives extra credit for both classes. Take what he offers!

HE'S INCREDIBLY AMAZING. u'll learn so much about Psychology in this class. he'll blow your mind away with his interesting lecture. He's extremely caring. He answers emails within an hour, accessible outside of class to help u with any difficulty. His test is crazily hard. BUT, I made 65 in 4 tests and passed w an A b/c I did every extra credits

I loved this course every step of the way! Professor Sigsbee has very clear grading criteria and his assignments are very clear and easy. Be sure to read the articles and cite your sources pertaining to discussion questions and discussion boards. There is enough extra credit to make an A. There is not reason you should fail this amazing course.

Professor Sigsbee has an efficient class setup for online students. The expectations are well-laid out as is the grading criteria. Getting a high letter grade requires reading all of the material, preparing well for quizzes and tests as well as not skipping assignments. The feedback provided by Professor Sigsbee is personalized and meaningful.

My favorite professor, hands down. The course was very interesting and I enjoyed it. He is an awesome professor and a heavy communicator. I learned a lot in his class. The book needed was even free and provided via PDF. Assignments were due twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday) .

Best online class I've ever taken. I didn't know until the end of the semester all his emails sent out were going to my gmail spam account and not my school .edu account. That would have helped me a lot with knowing her things (practice quizzes for example!). The class is beyond simple if you read the material.

Without a doubt the BEST teacher I've ever had. He completely changed my life and made me want to study psychology. The only class I have ever taken that I was excited to be there and dissapointed when it was over. I would literally take his class again for fun even without getting credit hours. Took his Maymester online course. Every 5 days, there were 3-5 chap quiz's due, a discussion board & a mini essay over an HIV article. I did 1-2 chaps a day & stayed on track. He has key concepts, I printed those out & wrote on them as I read. His exams are based on that & alot of quiz Q's show up too. He was very kind & supportive, ask questions!

I will take his class again if I still have some psychology class left.

I took this in summer I 2018 on-line easy A and lots of extra credit. Of course there is work to be done reading, discussion boards, quizzes and test but if you do it ahead of time you don't have to worry about it. If you miss an assignment plenty of extra credit work. He is awesome he sent out reminders before assignment due.

Mr. Sigsbee made this entire experience so easy. He was clear on what was expected of us and was overall fair throughout the semester. One thing I would suggest to new students is: Finish your assignments before the due date. They're easy as long as you read the material so you have no reason to turn it in the day it is due.

One of the best professor in Brookhaven. You won't need a textbook, cuz if you pay attention to his lecture, you'll make an A+ on the test. He is not only gives good feedbacks, but also very caring and thoughtful. Beside all assignments in the syllabus, he also give lots of extra credit. But remember 1 thing "no matter what happen, he'll help"

Mr. Sigsbee was a really well rounded professor. I learned a lot in his class that I can apply in my personal life and if I had of applied myself more I easily could have made an "A". The class is basically designed for students to pass as long as you read and do the work, he even sends reminder and encouraging emails of when assignments are due!

Professor Sigsbee is amazing! This class was so much fun and I am glad I chose him. He gives clear directions and study guides and there were 60 optional points for Extra Credit. Read the material and follow discussion board guidelines. By the end of the class, I had more than enough points for an A. This is not a slack off class, put in the work.

Great Professor! I highly recommend you take his class. I took him for lifespan growth and development online for an 8-week class. It was the easiest A I've ever received. There are chapter quizzes after each chapter and 4 unit tests. There are quite a few discussion boards but they are not too bad. There is also a TON of extra credit opportunities

Prof. Sigs is one of the best professors Brookhaven has to offer. If he is not your psychology professor, drop the course and sign up for his. He is very kind and understanding, and also very observant. A moderate amount of work but it's easy if you pay attention in class and take at least a little bit of your time to read the materials.

The textbook has to be read to do well in the class. It has a lot of information. You can redo the exams several times. The professor cares for his students and wants them to succeed. He provides extra credit and opportunity to do well. I recommend him.

Sigsbee is an amazing professor. He is understanding, and really cares about his students. He gives real life examples, and makes it easy and fun to enjoy the class material. I took him during a winter term, we did not need a textbook. The winter class was fun, and easy to complete.

I took his lifespan class in a 8 week semester online, he was wonderful! He really makes the information interesting. He gives personal feedback to each DB post. It is a lot of work, but seeing as it was in 8 weeks and not 16, it was expected. Offers tons of extra credit. Responds fast to emails as well. Highly recommend him!

I took Mr. Sigsbee for Developmental Psych ONLINE and it was great. The deadlines are set and they are spread out perfectly to where you are able to get all of your work done. He emailed me back on the same day which is great for an online teacher/class. Overall AMAZING teacher.

Professor Sigsbee answers e-mails in a timely manner. His response to my questions enabled me to have a clearer understanding of the assignments. Also, he posts the grades soon after the due date of an assignment. I put in numerous hours for this online class. The time commitment was challenging, however, it was worth the effort.

I took Professor Sigsbee for Psych 1301 summer II. Really enjoyed his class. Decent amount of assignments but its very manageable . Multiple attempts for tests and quizzes, with the highest grade counting. Gives reminders to help you stay on track and provides thoughtful replies . My only regret was not being able to take the class in person. A+

I took this course when COVID hit so that explains the B. To be successful, you really need to read the chapters. I skimmed and it was trickier. Open book quizzes for each chapter. 4 essays to summarize supplemental readings. These helped deepen knowledge. Interesting class, easy work just a lot of it.

I took Prof. Bigsbee for two courses in the Summer. My only sorrow is that I could not attend his class in person because of the pandemic. I have taken many classes over the years, and this man is a seasoned professor. He knows what he teaches, and does so with passion. A great combination for an educator.

Definitely one of my favorite professors I have had! Professor Sigsbee gives some of the most genuine and honest feedback. His course is easy to navigate and as long as you stay on track with everything youre guaranteed to pass his class. He is also someone who is very influential and is always there if you need him!

The professor has great reading material for each unit, you should take advantage read multiple articles. The textbook is pretty engaging and offers great insight about the unit. The professor prepares you with unit notes and terms for quizzes and tests. He also has a section for nursing students with notes that will help you in the future.

Professor Sigsbee is a great professor. Class is primarily tests and quizzes. As long as you read the assigned chapters, you'll easily pass the tests. He gives you extra credit and responds to emails within 24hrs. I will definitely recommend him.

Professor Bill Sigsbee's curriculum covers a broad, but rich spectrum of human sexuality. There is a good portion of reading. However, they are page-turners. was a great prof but theres a lot of reading involved which is typically normal by now lol. he did great in assisting us and answered all questions without hesitation. he was very understanding and his quizzes/tests are fairly easy given you do the work on time and throughly.

Great Professor! You wont regret taking this class. He responds quickly when you email him and hes very understanding. The workload is not heavy, you just have to manage your time correctly. Theres 4 units, 4 tests, 4 discussion posts and 3 free response questions. All very do-able and not difficult as long as you do the reading.

I took online, professor Sigsbee is great with responding, gives good feedback, & allows for many extra credit opportunities. The course requires you to stay on task and kind of set your own schedule as there are minimal due dates, but it is very doable. The course is SO interesting, therefore it hardly every felt like "boring old" school work.

Professor Sigsbee is wonderful. His ultimate goal is that his student learn and grow. There are discussion board and reading assignments as well as quizzes for each set of 4 classes and a test 4 times a year. All of the DB and reading assignments are very chill and intended for you to read something you may not usually read and talk about it.

Easiest class I've ever taken. 5 tests, 50 Q/ea, open book, 3hr time limit, 2 attempts. Insane amounts of extra credit. Prof is very good, knows what he's talking about, and is very passionate about it. There are assignments but they're all very easy. Just follow instructions and you'll get 100.

An amazing teacher who is very understanding and accommodating to your personal situations. Was on the verge of being homeless and trying to make time for classes, asked for an extension due to all the stress and he gave it to me few the next few assignments and checked in every class to make sure i was a okay. He even helped me get emergency aid.

Professor Sigsbee is a kind, genuine professor, and he cares about his students. He gives FANTASTIC, encouraging feedback, and he takes the time to email. He is very conscientious, as evidenced by the assignment topics, and he is passionate about his work. He gives reminders of upcoming work, and he is committed to his students' learning.

Psych 2319 LOVED this professor. He grades quickly and he leaves feedback messages on every short article you write. This class was incredibly easy but I still learned a lot. Nothing has an actual due date except the last day of class. His philosophy "If you're motivated to do it, the work will be accepted." I wish he taught all of my classes.

I don't think there's a better Psych professor out there. He is super patient, his lectures are engaging and he keeps you captivated. He offers tons of extra credit opportunities so it's pretty hard to fail his class. The stories he tells relate to lecture and he doesn't trail off. And he has a clear grading criteria that is easy to follow.

This is one of my favorite professors I've ever took! All you have to do is do your work and you'll be good. Everything is easy and he usually gives full credit.

I took general psychology in winter 2022 and assessments was easy. All we had to do was do the work on time. and he is very nice and understandable professor. I will take him again.

I took this class in the "Wintermester of 2022". The criteria for grading is straight forward and all you have to do is stay on top of it and you'll do fine. He does give extra credit and it helps a lot, especially towards the end. I highly recommend his class and would take him 1000x over if I could. This is the professor for you.

There was quite a bit of course content that was covered, make sure to keep up on due dates. The assignments are very easy and the grading criteria is clear! Overall a great and caring professor who tries to help his students succeed. The material was very enriching and resourceful. Great class with a clear professor!

Prof. Sigsbee's class was very straightforward and informative. I learned quite a bit. There is work, but it is not overwhelming.

Probably the easiest A+ I have ever received. He is available and helpful when you need it. I wish he taught other subjects so I could take him again. There is SO MUCH reading in this class, but as long as you do that reading, you will ace the quizzes and tests. Extra credit will make up for any quiz or test you don't ace.

His syllabus is really easy to understand and highlights every assignment and when they're due. He grades in a timely manner and his assignments all have a rubric so it's really easy to get full marks on all his assignments. As long as you're semi tech savvy you can easily pass his class with an A. He also has extra credit.

He is such an AMAZING professor. I wish every professor was like him. He knows how to teach, and gives good feedback. I really enjoyed his course. If you need General Psychology take it with him!!! You will enjoy it.

With a topic that can be tough or uncomfortable, he makes this class very approachable. Expectation are crystal clear, assignments require thought but are not tedious, the class schedule is manageable, and his feedback on essays and discussions are detailed and aimed at helping students continue to think and improve. Recommended, 100%!

After taking 2306 from him, I looked for another of his classes I could take. He is not only clear in his expectations, but he is also so caring and connected with students that you'll want to learn and do well. He is a gem at Dallas College and it's well worth it to enroll in his class quickly if you're lucky enough to find an opening.

My favorite class of the semester. Professor Sigsbee is incredible! He loves to teach and his lectures are always interesting. Every day you learn something new. He helps his students in any way he can. Of course I would take this class again!!!!!!

Absolutely love Professor Sigsbee. I've taken him for 2 courses, 1 winter & now fall. He replies to emails within a day, he always provides feedback on work, & offers 4 EC assignments. Everything is clear & organized. There's 5 250 word (minimum) essays, 4 units with a reading supplement, 4 quizzes, a test, and discussion board.

I took Professor Sigsbee online PSYC class for a flex term. I was a little nerves at first when I saw all the reading, quizzes , discussion board and 5 essays we had to do , but overall it was a great class. I would take another class with Sigsbee any time.

Best psychology professor at Dallas College! I took over 4 psychology classes with him and he is the best and make lectures super interesting and interactive. If you can take him do it! Hes very caring and willing to work with you if you work and communicate with him. Easy A but little bit of reading and writing.

Took him for human sexuality in a summer semester; definitely a lot of work for 5 weeks, but the class was incredibly fun! There are quizzes over each chapter, unit tests, and 5 class discussions. Discussions are all on very interesting topics, and he gives the best feedback. You can tell he genuinely cares about both students and the subject.

I can't even begin to explain my respect for Professor Sigsbee. He genuinely cares for his students, and his online class is designed to prevent them from getting overwhelmed or scared of the material. I would 1000% take the class again! Professor Sigsbee is the best!

Is understanding, offers educational expertise, and welcomes students to debate/challenge course material. Emphasizes readings/student participation for understanding and credit. Responds to emails promptly and works with you ensuring success in the class. Informative within Syllabus. I recommend him to anyone seeking to choose a PSYCH Professor.

I loved this class so much! Took it as an 8 week class and still got an A+. He really cares about his students and takes his time giving meaningful feedback on assignments. You can tell he loves his job and the subject. I learned a lot and even though the work looks heavy, but I promise it's not as bad as it seems.

This was my first college psych class and I couldn't have asked for a better professor. Sigbees lectures were something to look forward to, I found them very thought-provoking and informative. Professor Sigsbee was inspirational and truly cares about each of his students. The assignments are interesting and not too hard. I would highly recommend!

The class Professor Sigsbee facilitated was very respectful about sometimes difficult and controversial topics. He genuinely cares about his students and his feedback is very thoughtful. Very reading heavy, but the topics of the response papers and discussion boards made the class even more engaging. One of my favorite classes I've taken so far.

One of the best professors I've ever had! There isn't much coursework and tons of extra credit opportunities. He sends lots of reminders emails for due dates and how you can maximize points on assignments. The work is very easy too! In the course I took, he gave suggested due dates, but you can still submit stuff until the last day of class.

One of the best teachers I ever had in general, he is a great teacher and I enjoyed the lessons he taught my class. His class is great as it is easy.
