Hard course, difficult material. Unless you're a science geek, or you have to take the course, avoid it. Professor makes it interesting, and even fun. Tendency to tell stories non-related to subject. Overall good teacher.

If you read the assigned chapters, you will be able to pass the class even though most of the lecture is stories.

Great teacher. (Winner of the Golden Apple Award, in fact). The actual course content was very difficult but the teacher made it fun. Yes, he does get off subject. He is the best. Tests are not as hard as the readings. Very flexible and understanding.

I was dreading this Bio Stats course but Bill made it entertaining and not scary. He was patient and very helpful. I wouldn't have made it through without him. True, he does ramble, but sometimes that's better than cramming formulas in your head.

He's a wonderful human being who teaches a boring, especially for most psych students subject. You get much more out of the class than just the subject. A must take Prof for anyone who actually plans on working in the field.

AWESOME PROFESSOR! You must take him! He knows his subject well and gives real life examples and stories to help relate subject matter to real life. The subject matter is boring, but he makes his lectures really funny with all his stories. READ THE TEXT!

His style of teaching is not traditional and sometimes students may interpret that as unprofessional. Dr. Weiner has a lot of experience and he knows his stuff. He's flexible on attendance if theres a valid excuse.

Took Physiological Psych in the summer with him last semester, got an A, he is a bit like Garrett Dettling in that he jokes around a lot and makes learning fun not boring, taking 155 now, the guy knows his stuff and is one of the best out there.

Best Psychology Professor I have ever taken. He is hilarious and you will learn a great deal from him. This is a must take professor. People who expect an easy A, and don't want to learn anything 1. should drop out of college, 2 take another professor other than Professor Weiner.

Simply the best teacher out there guy's. I'm now at SDSU and I learned as the result of having taken this professor the invaluable principle of laughter because it's sometime not about the grade itself more so then it is the lesson that is to be learned.

VERY fun teacher. His lectures consist of whatever is in the text, and the reason why he goes on and on about personal experiences is because it APPLIES people!! He's very smart and knows what he's doing! Take notes, pay attention to his stories and his lecture, and read read read!

Obviously the last reviewer had issues with their learnig and retention capacity; as well as probably a lack of intelligence. This man is a Genius! He is helpful, you just have to ask. He's always in his office for assistance.

Great tescher! Easy class & easy homework. Allows the use of notes and book for all tests.I dont see why everyone can't pass his class.

A great guy. He explaines exactly what will be on the exams. Although he tells alot of stories, he is very entertaining. His teaching style is about what real life is about and the applying of knowledge of Psychology.

Poor Mr. Weiner. I had waited two semesters to get his class specifically because I heard such great things...but I think he's lost his touch. REALLY NICE guy, REALLY BORING teacher. Fair though. Plus, I think he's having a lot of health problems.

Best Teacher at City College hands down. Take this guy or you will not have had the best City College has to offer in Psychology.

There are no words to explain how phenomenal Weiner is. I've been to many different schools and there is absolutely none better, not only does his class make you laugh but it shows you there are professors who still care! I never left feeling anything but better about my day. Anyone who has an issue needs to question themselves.. We all loved it!

By far the best professor I've ever had. Professor Weiner is a brilliant man with a very funny sense of humor. You will never forget the real-life stories you hear in his class. Really great teacher who seems to really care about his students. If your struggeling in the class he is more than willing to help you. I highly recommend him.

Professor Weiner is awesome! He is one of the best teacher @ City. He knows his stuff and has had an amazing career. His class is very hard, but he makes it fun. He gives extra credit, which can be very helpful to the students that are struggling a bit. He tells great stories, too. His only flaw is that he does go off topic a lot. Take him!

Just a really great guy to be around. He understand that people in community college have jobs and kids...heck, he even understands that sometimes we're just lazy. If you go to class you'll laugh- and you'll get an A. He's a good human being that will treat you like an adult.

Professor Weiner treats his students with respect. He obviously loves teaching and does his best to make stats bearable. Sometimes he gets impatient with questions. He gets behind because he gets off subject. He's entertaining too.

He's a really great teacher... he tells very funny, and interesting stories related to the subject, which give a deeper understanding of a complicated field. He takes a long time to grade things, but that would definitely be his low point (no biggie!). His class (Physiological Psychology) surpassed all my expectations.

Prof. Weiner is one of the best instructors i have EVER had. He even made me consider to change my major. To this day and for the rest of my life ill go by what he said to me one day: "math is like a hammer, you dont need to love it, you just gotta know how to use it" and "Fake it 'till ya make it!" Weiner FTW!

Absolutely the best! He quickly became my mentor. Now that I have moved on, he's become my friend. Does he have a quirky nature? Of course, he's a psych professor! Go to class. Read the book. He's a caring guy. He just wants you to try your best. My grading on easiness and clarity are a reflection on my understanding of the material, not him.

Professor Winer goes over his material over until everyone understands everything, his tests are open note/book. He gives hw for every chapter. he is funny and cool. I would recommend him for psych 258

I have moved since, but still look back and smile when I have a hard time with other courses now. Very inspirational, fun, easy-going and always available to take your questions--actually he thrives on getting questions and explaining the answers. He rocks!! Koodos, Wild Bill !! Great mentor. Really loves students, very caring human being. Knows everything about everything. Long lectures, some papers, standard work. Easy A if you like the subject. Dr. Weiner is one of the smartest people i have ever met. All the other ratings are pretty much exactly right. He is slow on turning back your work and grades.

Great teacher, but hard for me since i'm the type of learner that needs lecture and note taking from teacher to learn. YOu have to rely highly on the book. He is very funny and nice, i looove him, but he gets off topic sometimes.

Great Teacher!! All the way. Probably was one of the best I've had. Always has the funny jokes to lighten up the class and keep you awake. The class i took with him was a hard one. The tests were not easy and neither was the material but he grades with a curve to make it easier.

If you are ready to go completely off topic and hear some jokes and good stories...Then he is great. You have to read the book (no exceptions, for this class) hard class, but he seems to lighten the load. Great teacher. He has been there and done that. Take him for the challenge.

I took Psych 155&268 with Weiner. He is one of my all time favorite teachers. If you like/need any sort of structure in your classes, don't take any with Weiner. His lectures stray far off topic but you learn more from his stories than any textbook. He genuinely cares about his students and will do anything he can to help you learn the material.

I miss Weiner. He's the best professor I've ever had. He really is a jewel. He was a source of motivation and inspiration for me.

Loved him loved him loved him! He's super funny... cursed like a sailor but hilarious about it. You can tell he's very intelligent but doesn't make you feel stupid. He's helpful and nice. As long as you pay attention and do some light reading (like I did), you should do fine. (I got a B!). I highly recommend him :)

Prof. Weiner is a great professor but, constantly strays off the subject. I received a decent grade in his class because I read the text book and concentrated on the TA Asa's study guide. Hard class but got a B with the TA's help. Oh yeah, get a chance to go to his office because his TA is there and she's a knockout!!!!

Professor Weiner is just a wonderful man. Honestly, he brightened up every class session for me. I failed Algebra 95, but got an easy A in his stats class. Incredibly helpful and understanding; he truly wants his students to succeed. City college should count its blessings that they have such a phenomenal man on their payroll. WEINER RULES!!!!

I loved this professor. So much knowledge, experience, and always willing to help. However, he should kick the loud people out of class. All in all a great teacher. He also offers counceling services.

Great Prof! He's really smiley and loves to make others smile. He will take class time to help if students are lost. It's sometimes hard to follow his logic, but keep up on your reading (at least a little) and you'll do great. Exams are open notes/open book, but you still have to have some clue of what you're doing. GREAT PROF!

This class was awesome. I had taken this class previously with another professor (Kaneko)- it was a horrible experience. Weiner is so knowledgeable. He has many interesting stories that are related to the course. Read the book, go to class, and you will get an A. Its a tough class but Weiner is an excellent teacher

Awesome professor. Amazing human being, almost like being in therapy. You will understand statistics well after you are done with his class and also have a lifelong friend as a professor. Highly recomend his class. Would take him for another class if he taught a different subject. :)

He's an awesome teacher. His lectures can jump off course from time to time, but even still has SOMETHING to do with the topic we're learning. He keeps people interested and educated at the same time. I'm looking forward to hopefully having him back on campus soon. :)

He's a great guy. Really nice and totally hilarious. But I was really disappointed that we didn't finish everything we were supposed to learn according to the syllabus. Granted, some of it wasn't his fault, but nevertheless I have to repeat this class because I have to take an upper division Statistics soon, which will be a set up for failure.

He is one of the best and funniest teachers you will ever meet. Of course i didn't get an A in his class, but that was my fault. still he was extremely helpful and if he hadn't retired i would of taken his psych stats. love him and i wish him the best.
