His English sucks. He thinks much faster than he talks or writes. But still, he's a really good teacher. He knows his stuff, and teaches it well. Except for when he says the wrong thing and writes the right thing, and vice versa. It'sabit confusingbutgood
Language barrier makes things a little hard. But i've had take home finals and multiple choice tests in calculus and differentail equeations

Good teacher actually cares about teaching. First half the class very well prepared, however when more difficult subject matter comes the language barrier hinders things a bit, overall very good. First class in a long time I've felt I actually learned.
He makes everything more complicated than it is. IF you have time to teach yourself then this is the class for you.
Don't get me wrong - I love Truong, he knows his material, and I'm going out of my way to take him again. But don't take him unless you're dedicated and like the subject, because the guy can't speak English, and if you don't speak Math, you'll be lost.
Very SHARP!!! If you love math and can think - take his classes. Gives very clear and simple explanations to complicated problems.
this gut drives me crazy! I cant learn anything from him, i spend more time just trying to figure out his english than i do anything. He makes everything harder than it is, you pretty much have to teach yourself from the book.
If you love math and you can understand a strong Vietnamese accent, Truong is a great teacher. If you don't love math and can't understand a strong accent, you will be frustrated.
wha ie sayi ees...da uh, guie ees har to undastah. but fair.
Attend the first class. If you can understand him, he is the easiest math teacher out there. If you cant, he is the most difficult. He loves teaching, and cracks really funny jokes (if you get them). Don't be fooled, he's sharper than you think.
Hard!!! Very unclear and difficult to understand, good guy, but the language barrier is a big problem. Tests are multiple choice and open note.
He is fair. If you have perfect attendance then he gives you 5% more at the end of the semester. Teach yourself, easy formulas, tricky tests, everybody does poor but he gives 1/3 A's, 1/3 B's and the rest C's if you try and come to class. Dont bother asking Q's or tryn to get xtra points on tests.

Viet-nemese accent isn't too bad, but he trys to talk too fast. Other than that, pretty funny, goofy. Somewhat insprirational, but hard to understand talks too fast. Very intelligent. Doesn't go over things enough times to make it clear. Goes over a subject once, then moves on. Open note/book.
EASY!!!!!!!!
Easy A
Difficult to understand, never understands studen't questions. Brilliant man but lousy teacher, doesn't know how to make othe rppl understand. his tests weren't too bad (all open notes) but really long.
Be patient. He's hard to understand at times, but he knows alot and can show you great shortcuts. He's funny too! I would take him again.
He's one of the most easy profs at ARC. He cares about his students. His shortcuts are useful. He's funny sometimes. He maybe is a little bit unclear at first. But just be patient, you will get used to his style, and then you will find him really great.
He really cares to teach and his tests are very fair. It takes about a week to get used to his abrupt style but if you follow along with him and read the book, it will seem like he knows exactly what you are having trouble with and makes it so much easier to understand. Funny and has great stories. I recomment him to pplwho able to stick with it
Assigns but doesn't collect homework - makes it VERY unmotivating to do it. Test are difficult, but fair since it is what he's taught. Very funny, but a little strange at times. Can be hard to understand. I got a B without really trying too hard, so I really can't complain. Gives lots of quizzes - good for earning points but bad if you don't study.
Very unclear teacher.....I dont really know how I got A's on all of his classes. You may think you did very well on your class, but you are assured to forget everything 2 weeks after the class is over!
Prof. Troung was very nice and funny but was quite unclear, rambled, gave incredibly easy grades, and didn't maintain control of the classroom. One time one of the students was actually yelling at him because she didn't like her grade and he didn't shut her up. I had to teach myself from the book and felt like I was randomly being handed points.
Very knowledgeable. One of the best teachers. I would highly recommend him to everybody who really needs math
He's crazy. Sometimes he makes jokes and he's the only one laughing. His accent is really THICK! He once said,"Math isn't hard... It's not like a Love Story!" Someone must have broke his heart. Fun guy but super hard to understand.
like everyone else has said, if you understand him then you wont have a problem. he is easy and quite funny. he's a nice guy too.
If you read ahead you'll be fine, otherwise you'll be lost - simple as that. He's got a great sense of humor and an amazing personal story - just be patient with the broken english - again, reading ahead will make it easier to understand what he's doing.
AAAAAhhhh! do not take his class ever
An excellent teacher! His accent is NOT as thick as everyone says. I took 410 and 420 over the summer prior to transferring to UCD and he definitely prepares you for the grading system. He is extremely intelligent and funny; no, he does not collect assigned homework, but homework is intended as a tool for students, not as a grade-padder.
He is a great teacher if write everything down that he writes and than go back over it and it will click. He has a great sense of humor and a great life story. Very intelligent!
cant speak english. Is a supposed brilliant mind. I dont care if he's brilliant, I just wish he was brilliant when he teached, because he can't teach at all. Seems like a nice guy but the broken english was just too overwhelming to learn the material. I would not recommend him.
It's open notes and open books on all of the exams and final. He may be a little unclear, but he did cover the main points of the chapters. The only thing you need to do is copying his notes and reading them over at home. Be patient, just stick to the class, and you will be fine.
He may be hard to understand at times, but he's demonstrates the problems on the board well. He'll show you great shortcuts. I thought he was great. Plus has a dry sense of humor which had me laughing.

His english a little hard to understand, but if you take notes its isnt very hard at all. He lets you use notes on tests and he has a lot of take home-tests. He is funny so you wont be too bored, after all it is math.
Its hard to pay attention in his lectures. He is never approacheable with questions. Expectect not to learn anything. He made a subject I was interested in, be a bad experience.
He is a very easy teacher. hes very funny. all you have to do is pay attention. his english is a bit off, but hes a great teacher. if you cant understand him, just make sure you write down everything thats on board. he lets you use notes on the tests and most of the questions are from his notes.
troung is the only C grade I received in 70 units at ARC. It because I couldnt freaking understand him. We didnt have a book, just handouts. Most people that are good at math already swear by him. I say, if you need it all explained very slow and concise, dont take troung, His accent is that thick. I only ever got half of what he was saying.
confusing to say the least..but a nice guy. Am I the only one who hasnt recieved a grade?..its been 2 weeks since the final.
Thank god. I thought I was the only one who hasn't got any grades yet.
horrible and extremely lazy teacher. promised he would give a 5 percent boost for homework then on the day of the final decided not to. take home exams are extremely difficult...the book is no help. didnt learn a thing in his class.
A pretty good math teacher who is very intelligent, but his accent can be an obstacle in understanding what he is teaching. Not organized and does not collect homework all the time. Tests pretty difficult, but doesnt grade the tests hard. Gives quizzes (in group, individual, take home)
His accent is NOT THAT BAD! People will use this as an excuse as to why they did poorly in his class, but Truong is an excellent, intelligent professor. Tests are fair, lectures directly from the text. Nice/Funny too! Pay attention, take notes --> YOU WILL DO WELL. Doesn't collect/grade homework but homework should be for the student's benefit.
i actually liked this class. sometimes it's difficult to understand what he's teaching but if you go over the book and hw yourself before class you'll understand what he's doing. the tests are fair. u jus gotta do ur hw even tho he doesnt collect it. quizzes are fair and good to study from for tests. would take him again! jus work hard for an A :)
He is a great teacher and funny too. I don't understand why people don't like him! If you do your hw and read his notes you will succed!!
awesome
accent isn't hard but he can't understand english at all, i would ask the innteligent questions and he talked to me like i was retarded because he could understand my Q'S, the easy questions were answered more often. his teaching style was ridiculous, working through formulas without telling us there purpose first, or not explaining his conclusions
A GREAT prof., very easy-going. Class was fun, he told life stories and joked all the time. i got a very easy A in his class. he has no homework (never checks it). take-home and group quizzes.
Horrible professor. Entire course consists of difficult take home exams. Works through formulas without explanation. Late to class every day and very difficult to talk to. Also a liar...says he will give you 5% extra on your final grade if you attend every class meeting but doesn't do it at the end. One pro about this bufoon is he passes everyone.
Awful. You can only understand about every other word he says and he can't understand what you're saying at all. When you can make out what he is saying he can be witty/funny, but it's not worth it. Count on reading the book cover to cover w/no help from him if you want to understand the material. I'm a great math student but had to drop his class.
easy! best teacher ever! loves his stories! GO TO CLASS EVERYDAY-5% toward FINAL! highly recommended!
ok, want to get an easy A? take his class. just copy WHATEVER he writes on the board cuz the tests and quizes are open notes and open book and the tests are the same exact thing as your notes. you may not understand him easily because of his accent, but will get an A...promise :) highly recommended
Write down what he writes on the chalkboard, and review it at home. Sometimes, you'll have no idea what he is saying because he tends to mumble and goes over concepts too fast. But overall, he's a caring, funny teacher. He allows students to ask many questions, that is, if they have any.
ONE OF THE MOST INTELLEGENT PEOPLE I KNOW.. HE HAS 2 PHD'S AND 1 MASTERS SUPER NICE AND KNOWS HIS STUFF... JUST COME TO CLASS AND PAY ATTENTION.. SOME STUDENTS LIKE TO YELL AND DISRESPECT HIM AND HE STILL WILL HELP THEM.. I HAVE TAKEN 2 OF HIS CLASSES AND GOT B'S IN BOTH.. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM..!
For DE and Linear: Sometimes difficult to understand, but not a big deal. This professor is very intelligent, but at times jams through lectures and makes mistakes (never a big deal though). In class exams are doable, take home exams are lengthy (trade off). HW wasn't due, but do it to learn it. A professor I would highly recommend.
Troung Rocks!
like the others have said, he is extremely intelligent, and he's funny and entertaining at times, but i swear this guy teaches in vietnamese. impossible to understand, and goes way to fast. he likes to jump around, so you have to REALLY pay attention.
Although he doesn't speak perfect English, I was able to understand him. Extremely nice and helpful, and even when students are acting up, he still cares. Recommend him for any class!
I couldn't understand him. Even if u attended all class periods u would be able to get statistics unless u've taken it before. There were few test questions on each test so if u missed one, u would miss a lot of points. When u ask him how to do a problem on hw he just gives you the answer. Very funny tho, and a sweet man! Loves his students!
i liked him...VERY smart and has a lot of experience in his field. the only problem was the damn book...thing might as well have been written in Latin. was only useful for practice problems. anyways he is a great teacher. would give practice tests that were close to the real test and would give extra credit for them when you turned them in -GH
I took this class knowing he was a bad teacher, but my brother said he was easy to swindle. It wasn't true. He made me drop the class after missing a test and a quiz. He was funny... but you can't understand what he says. He's a nice guy though. And he knows stats better than anyone alive.
This guy is very easy. All you have to do is to come to every single class, make sure you write down whatever he puts on blackboard. All quizes and tests come from his lecture, they will be very easy if you study your note, that is all.
Come on guys. Learn something about this professor. One of the best in ARC. If you don't spend time on HW, never blame someone else
The easiest teacher i ever had in all my math classes. I heard linear algebra was the hardest math, but with troung i got a A and that also in summer. Over 60% of the class ended up with a A.
Super nice, funny guy! However unless you are a math expert or are good at understanding accents, I don't recommend him. I had to drop the class after a week & a half. He does tell very funny stories! But he it's true, he's late for class a lot...even on the first day!
A little hard to understand at first but a great teacher. Very knowledgeable of the material and uses many examples and tries to keep everyone on the same page.
Prof. Binh is a great teacher. It's true that you can't understand him sometimes. But, if you're caught up with the homework and following along in class, you'll catch on to what he's trying to explain. Your success in his class really depends on whether you're keeping up with the homework and asking him questions.
I haven't had a better math teacher. Truong is the absolutely best teacher, he knows what he's talking about and can tell you what applications they might have. Besides that he's super easy, you'll come out of the class knowing a lot shortcuts the book won't mention while not killing yourself trying to memorize every obscure formula.
LOL. It is funny when you can tell the teacher pretends to be the student on ratemyprofessor. Ah Bihn. I got an A so I shouldn't complain, but I was 1 out of 3 people. DO THE STATISTICS on that. If you are an average student or even a slightly bright student that needs an A, don't take this class. If you do, plan on getting a tutor at the LRC.
Nice guy. Really wants students to do well. Keeping up on the homework and attendance is vital.
He can be hard to understand but he does know his stuff. gives study guides for his exams which are very similar to his exams. Exams are mutiple choice and you can use a page of notes. Go to class and keep up on your homework.
He's a super, super, super nice guy. Always very helpful. But don't expect to get a good grade if you don't do the homework, the examples in the book, and the examples from the lectures. His exams are based on those three things. I'd strongly recommend him. He's the only teacher I follow around. Imagine that. :P. Accent doesn't mean anything
I took this prof for Calc II and Differential Eq'ns. He wings the lectures, but his examples are often better than the book. Write down EVERYTHING on the board and study that, you'll do fine. His sample tests are similar to real tests. In-class tests/quizzes are simple, take-home are tough. Some have problems with his accent, but I didn't.
Dr. T is an excellent professor. He explains the material really well with various examples. His tests and quizzes are fair in degree of dificulty. It's crucial to have good attendance. He teaches at a good pace, but missing a class or two isn't worth it. I recommend him to everyone. He definitely knows Statistics and mathematics.
By far the best math professor I've ever taken throughout my college career. His life stories are very inspirational. Attend every class meet. You will get extra points at the end and tested are similar to lectures. Take Truong for all your math class and you will pass with ease.
He rocks. He is the greatest math teacher i've met. He knows everything well. His story is so inspirational. His quiz is base on what he teach. Not hard, fair enough. His test is base on the sample test.If you can do the sample test. you get 80 or more in the coming test. Take him.He is quality professor. Perfect attendence is a plus for your grade
Yeah, that blonde girl Jessica! Woooo! I think she has a BF though. Oh yeah, and Binh is a good teacher!!! Possibly the best at all the losrios colleges. Get past his accent. If you truly know enligh, then you'll be fine.
A quiz almost everyday. Will give take home quiz, and take home exams too. Grades fairly and will bump up 3 percent of the overall grade for perfect attendance. lectures the material throughly with problems related to exam. Accent will bother those no offense who only speak and hang out with their own kind of race.
This teacher is intelligent and knows his material, but has a difficult time teaching the material to students. I don't think it has anything to do with his accent. He just doesn't do a good job of teaching. I felt like I wasted my money selecting him as a teacher. If you really want to find out about him, ask around at school and you be the judge.
He has an accent, but if you can understand it, he is really easy and funny. use the sample test on exams.
He is a nice guy with good intentions BUT his english and clarity is terrible. He makes tons of mistakes while you are writing notes making you need to erase and go back correcting them constantly. I eventually had to drop due to his teaching. You NEED to be someone who learns on their own to take this guy.
As a foreign student, I think his English is good enough to understand. This class is easy to pass if you do homework and study sample test before exams. He is a great teacher.
He's got an accent, but you can understand him after listening for awhile. Doesn't always answer my questions directly. He lets you use a page of notes for the exams and the final. Good point: He added an extra 4% for turning in a notebook of the homework! Attend class and don't ask for option E: 'answer not shown'. Ok professor, not the best
I am fairly skilled at math and stats in general, but this guy stumped me. He speaks very poor english and get frustrated with people who dont understand what he says. He freely admits he has never taken a stats class and it shows. Wont answer questions with any clarity but the sample exams are super helpful. Ask about his time as a POW.
If you did well in Calc 1, then his class should be a piece of cake, unless you slack off. Make sure you do the homework even though he doesn't collect it everyday. Falling behind is not an option. He does give extra credit and lots of bonus points at the end of the semester for all your hw.
COULD NOT UNDERSTAND A THING HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. Homework wasnt required, although an option for extra credit at the end of the semester. do the homework weekly, dont put it off. Im not sure if i would recommend this teacher because he is so unclear, but hey if i passed with a C so can anyone else
He does have a thick accent, so pay attention if you have difficulty understanding him (I did not). Very easy-going. Not always clear on what he expects, but his study guides are extremely useful and he's always willing to help you when you ask. Very good with math and knows what he is talking about.
If you take this prof, prepare to self-study. His sample exams are extremely helpful. The actual tests are very similar. Not sure how much you'll learn with this prof, but if you don't want to ruin your GPA, take him. The other prof who teaches Lin Alg is much harder and it may ruin your GPA. However, the other prof knows his stuff and can teach.
Funny guy, always kept me laughing. He can be a little hard to understand at first, but stick with it and you'll get used to it. Let's you use a page of notes on exams and gives extra credit for doing ALL of the homework and for perfect attendance. He can be scatterbrained (like not teaching the last chapter that he was supposed to).
Dont take this prof. He is hard to understand and he does every problem on the board wrong. Says it is our responsibility to find and correct it at home. Dont believe the point break down in the syllabus. I learned nothing, which was not helpful in Calc 3. If you plan to continue in math and understand anything, do NOT take a class from him.
He's very intelligent, and I really like him as a person, but I did not like his teaching. He comes in with no notes, and just seems to "wing it" every lecture. It doesn't always go so well. He spends 15 minutes on a problem that he says should be easy for us, then gets to end and realizes that he got it wrong. I just wish he was more organized
this professor is very harsh. he does not obey his syllabus. he spends his class time telling stories of his past and taking a lot of breaks. when he grades, he will take almost every point away from you. our last test, he took off almost 2 letter grades from my over all score just because. you wont learn from him and he has no plan
this is the worse professor ive ever had. i never had a professor argue about answering a question that half the class didnt understand. he doesnt clear everything up, he just confuses us. i use to be interested to going on to the higher math classes but after taking this professor i dont think i would last a week let alone get a good grade
If you are going to be an engineer you need to KNOW differential equations. If you take Troung you won't learn anything. I discovered after I transferred that I needed to understand DE. I really regret taking him now.
For those of you that are not math/engineering majors, this class is for you! The Professor is the kind of guy that will go out of his way to help you pass this class. He provides practice exams with answers, so if you study this, you will almost pass the class with an A. He's a really good guy with a giving heart and tells some amazing stories. :)
Don't take him for Differential Equations. Period. He's a cool guy, though.
Professor Truong is one of the best professors that I ever had. He teaches very well, everything is clear, all the quizes are open notes which each question is like the examples that he already worked in the class. He is extremely helpfull but some students are mean! they just make fun of his accent which is not fair. He is very knowlegable & easy.
Really good. Easy class and very fair professor.
Really helpfool, knowlegable and fair professor. He is very easygoing. Just study his note, you will be A. Take him.
He is a cool and super smart teaxher . He also super easy ! He awlays gives sample test with solutions step by steps for the first exam . And actually the exam's more easier than sample test, almost easier than HW , i passed cal2 without taking final :) . take him !!!
He is a cool and super smart teaxher .he has accent that why He's also super easy ! He awlays gives sample test with solutions step by steps for the first exam . And actually the exam's more easier than sample test, almost easier than HW , i passed cal2 without taking final :) . take him !!!
The class was great, always intresting to be there. This class was easier then i thought. Must take this teacher. I do have the statistic book he is using: 11th edition , Elementry statistic. Please email if u would like to purchase the book. $70 [email protected]
Not recommended. Practice exam and answer key emailed before exams, study that, you will pass. He is nice, funny, but as far as teaching, his lessons are at best, incomprehensible. Good luck learning the subject on your own, as he barely uses the book. Take stats from Dr. T and you will pass, but you will have absolutely no clue how or why you did.
Currently taking him now for DE. Has a big accent, but don't be frightened. Likes to joke around and is extremely nice. Sometimes it's hard to understand what he's saying but it always gets cleared up at the end. If you understand the homework tests are a breeze. Loves the subject and is very smart.
He is a very nice guy! OK hes accent is a little weird but he is extremely helpful and smart...Exams are easier than quizzes most of the time...Final is easy and only 20% worth
Probably one of the best teacher I have ever had. Most people blame it on the accent, but he taught me how to push and teach myself. Math is a universal language; if you don't get it it's not his fault. Keep studying haha...
Really good teacher, if you want to actually learn the material take his class. As for the complaints about his accent: don't let that dissuade you, even if you have trouble understanding him. It forces you to listen more carefully. Best math teacher at ARC in my opinion.
really nice teacher. u don't use the book if u listen what he teach in class carefully. and the exams are pretty the same with the sample exams he gave.
He is a smart guy and so easily.Almost quizzes are take-home or group quiz. The exam always split in two part.Takehome part worth 70% of total exam and In-class exam is super easy(look like the sample test), plus extra point in homeworks. In the exam days,He always leaves class after giving question.(maybe for students have time to concentrade :D)
He's a really nice and funny. His tests are similar to his practice test and he has take home parts. All of the quizzes and tests are open book and notes. This test and quiz questions are easier than the homework from the book
Professor Truong is one of the best math instructors I have ever had. His instructions are clear, he gives plenty of examples, exam study guides, and extra help. If you care about the class, he will care about you as a student. He helped me throughout the semester and thanks to his help, I was able to do well in the class. He is amazing!
Dr.Truong is a great teacher. Giving a lot of examples which help you getting new knowledge easier and more attractive. He is smart and willing to pass his own experiences to students, not only class lessons but also life lessons. Thanks to all valuable lessons that Dr. Truong gave me. Highly recommend taking his classes.
Take his class and you will learn something in his class.I don't like math but i took him, and i'm enjoyed . He's very easy going, and give you a lot examples for tests, quizzes
Prof Truong is a nice guy, but I really didn't find him to be an effective professor. The syllabus was vague and his expectations were often not made at all clear. He did try to make the class easy, to his credit, but if you're the kind of student who prefers clarity and expectations over ease, you may not care to take this instructor.
I took him 401,402,420&stas.He's super smart, takes care for you and will be sad if you have a bad grade. Even though,he has accents(sometimes difficult to understand),read the book, and you will be find.If you missed the exam and give him good reason,he let you took it again.I love&respect him as person. One word for him and that's "EASY"!Take him!
Great teacher!!!
Go to class every day, you don't need a book. Binh is VERY clear and helpful, if you have issues just ask, he always answers questions 100%. You would have to be retarded to fail this class. I never studied, breezed through the homework and tests. Binh makes this class a joke! He's not hard to understand either, he writes EVERYTHING on the board!
Professor truong is amazing. Best teacher i've ever had before. His son is also amazing. I love this class.. Bun bo hue
Worst class I have ever had, I walked away with an A. Showed up to class late and would let our class out an hr early. Would only teach for 30 mins or so (2 hr summer class). Makes many errors on exm. problems and on exams. On the final 1/2 of the problems were written wrong, he was writing the exam 30 mins before class. Book was a better teacher
If you are a DSPS student I would avoid taking him. I gave him the DSPS form, told him two times in person, and wrote it on the 1st quiz he gave out. He didn't make clear when the quiz/test were going to take place and try not to give me any accommodations. It's a hassle and he make mistakes daily.
Unprepared, difficult to understand, does not explain well, the lectures and book have conflicting information. I love math and am a math major and I cannot get enthused about this class because of the teacher.
Hard to understand because of the accent. He is very funny though, and understands what he is doing. You may have a bit of trouble understanding him at first, but if you stay a little patient with him, and ask questions, and study hard, he's really an awesome professor. I'm taking him again next semester for Calculus.
The class is extremely easy if you can understand him. If you cannot you will get lost but as long as you do ALL the hw it will be pretty easy. I skipped pre-calculus and took his calculus class and easily got a B. Could have gotten a A if I put in effort.
Binh is a very unclear and confusing professor. Not very helpful, closes online homework early with no announcement, and gives tests without announcement either. His English is very poor, which is almost not a problem. But if you have a question, good luck. He won't help much at all. Definitely do not recommend this teacher.
this class shouldn't have been as hard as it was. He didn't have any structure so the tests were irratic, there was no way to calculate my grade, and the first time he showed us our overall grade it was two days past the drop date (4 months into the semester!). every test was full of mistakes. very very frustrating.
He has a hard time speaking English clear enough to properly teach and he consistently makes mistakes while teaching making everything more confusing than it needs to be. Half of the tests have incorrect answers and it's difficult to get him to change the grade to what it should be.
1) Multiple choice exams. 2) Sample test for every test.. Problem types are identical, just different numbers. 3) Page of notes on every exam. 4) Gives you a handout of every formula and calculator function. 5) 2% E.C. for no absences. 6) He doesn't teach. *Go to Beacon tutoring and you'll do GREAT. They should be paying her to teach his classes.*
Pretty cool guy. Do the homework and study guides. The tests are identical to study guides and there fairly easy. He lets you out a half hour early so thats a plus. Yea he makes a lot of mistakes but annoy him enough and you'll get free points :)
Professor Truong is a very cool professor who understands the student's situations. I got an A. But I also worked hard for it. He will not pass out grades. Work hard, and you will get it. I recommend him to students who do their homework.
Very inspirational professor. His stories about being a prisoner of war will inspire you and keep the class interested. He gives you Mock tests before every exam (in the summer at least), and be sure to study these as he gives similar questions on his exam and multiple choice. I studied for an avg of 3-5 hours a day and got an A. Great professor.
His stories are very inspirational indeed. However, students use this so the class will run out of time and can't take the quiz and/or exam. If you're an honest student, you will hate the class. On the exams and quizes, you will see people sharing answers, opening notes/books, and using the net. They'll even brag in the class that they got an A.
Very easy class to take, I say this is the easiest class I ever took before easy. Only because of him, take this if you want to boost your GPA, but if you want to learn not for you. They should change the name to Math410 GPA booster.
Took him for 2 classes. One of the best teachers I've ever had. Sure his English isn't the best and you have to study, but welcome to school thats how it goes you have to study. Attended his DE class in evenings after 2 very dull boring teachers and always left energized and motivated to do better as a student. Inspiring and motivating!
I taking his Calculus II class this fall. He so easy! He gives class sample exam before the actual one, and the real exam easier than sample! I have get A on both exams he gives so far. Very easy teacher, very funny too! Take him! He will give you good grade! Just make sure you do all homework on mathlab!
No lesson plan, wrongly worked out his hard-to-follow examples, didn't cover variations on question types, took weeks to grade tests (+ his corrections were unhelpful) and shorted class time. If you get the material very easily, you'll do fine; otherwise, if you're taking other demanding classes or just want to learn well, take another professor.
He is confusing. I even stopped paying attention in his lectures because he confused me. His way of teaching was just different than what i was used to. And what really helped me was self-studying. Do the my math lab, the practice exams and be serious and just love what you doing and you will be fine.
This teacher doesn't care if you pass or fail. Basically, if you magically end up getting an A in his class he'll be obsessed with you; while if you're struggling, he'll basically WANT you to drop bc he doesn't even want to deal with your failing grade. Thank god I had an excellent Calc 1 teacher bc I learned a majority of the material beforehand.
It's actually funny... I understood more about the topic when he had a sub one day. Very difficult to understand and doesnt teach the matter very well. I understand we can all be better students and read the text on our own, but if he were a better instructor there would be no need to. great heart, character, and story for mr. t though.
I have never guessed so much on an exam before... he seems like a great guy, but teaching isnt his calling. I dropped his class. Worst math professor at the school.
He is a nice guy, and wants to be liked by his students it seems, so he will bend to you (like giving extra credit if asked for or giving send home finals) but he is the worst teacher I have had. Its hard to get used to the way he seeks (cant understand him) and I had to teach myself the lessons on my own time. Horrible teacher but nice dude.
Cal 2 is hard but he makes it even harder. He has thick accent, on top of that, he does bad job at explaining. He is very nice and funny guy but a bad teacher. I would recommend his class only if you have a lot of times to study on your own.
Super hard. He makes all kinds of mistakes. His take homes are shear hell. Also, he will just tell you it is just algebra. It is not just algebra.
He is a good teacher take him and stay on his good side. He gives study guiedes for exams which are very similar to exams and gives no homework. Very easy if you try and copy his notes. Fun class with him i definately reccomend.
He is not a consistant teacher, unclear, and doesnt follow through with what he says.
This was a horrible experience. I am not good at math already and I felt that I could not get any help from this teacher because I couldn't understand him. If you end up having to take his class, write down everything he writes on the board, make a study group and go to tutoring. Nice person. Bad teacher.
I took calc 2 in High school and was forced to retake it in college. I was able to follow his notes because I had previous knowledge of the subject but I also saw how he could be very confused (as many students were). His teaching style is one that you either can pick up on or not. His tests are a little on the harder side and all his hw is online
Do the homework and study before every class and you will do fine!!! Do not miss any class section!!! Do not get behind!!!
Teacher spent first 3 days talking and describing personal life. Then played catch up in chaos for the rest of the semester. Notes were bad so have to study and learn on your own own own!! Almost all of his tests end up having unsolvable free response problems.. Only good thing is that he will boost you to an B from 75%. Take as a last resort!
I love this teacher. he gave good example in class, and all you have to do is online HW. if you don't do HW, then don't blame on getting a B or C or F. The test is similar to the HW. You have to study on your own more than waiting for him.
Truong is all over the place in his lectures and he speaks only minimal English making it difficult to follow what he is doing in class. Although he tries to be nice and make it easy on students it is not worth it as you end up not learning anything in his class.
He is very hard to understand and he doesn't answer questions clearly or explain things well. He doesn't speak English as a first language and his accent is often hard to understand.
Bad: hard to understand both with teaching and speaking, forgetful Good: very forgiving, grades on the easy side, gives extra credit opportunities If you do the homework and learn the material you will pass. He is a good teacher overall but don't expect a superstar.
Very very frustrating in my opinion, I had to drop because he consistently changed the due dates for HW quizzes etc., so you never really know what's due and when. He is funny and not a bad instructor, but he is hard to understand and his methods are not explained well at all. he assigns a TON of online homework and has no idea when it's due.
Bad: He has a rough accent and he is very very hard to understand. He also gives a lot of online homework that takes a majority of your time. GOOD: if you do the homework and learn from it, you will pass. He is very forgiving. He dropped the lowest quiz score, homework scores AND exam scores.
This is one of the best professors I've had at ARC. No BS, tells you exactly what you need to know. I'm in his class right now and I am doing fairly well. I compare him to Barcellos and Heeren if you've ever had them. He's very passionate and knows his stuff. Yes he is hard to understand. But if you aren't against Asians, you'll do fine.
He is a very nice teacher when his class is nice to him. It is a super easy class to pass as long as you turn in whatever it is he assigns. You need to also suck up to him. It may be hard at times to understand him, but OVERALL if you are taking any math just to get it out of the way and to transfer, he is your guy! ***Usually does take home finals
This was one of the worst classes that I have taken! He is so confusing! If you don't understand , he will tell you to ask a friend or Google it. He was constantly making mistakes while teaching concepts. He looses the homework you turn in and then blames you for never turning it in. He gets mad at you when you question him.
I took him for DE in the summer(6 weeks).Easy A for those who are taking DE for second time. His very generous on grading and exams were easy. If you haven't had DE before, 6 weeks is simply not enough time to learn this material. There is 8 chapters. 40 hours a week is not enough time. You may pass but you won't be prepared for future classes.
I hear a lot of students complain about not being able to understand him, his first language is not English. But the real reason he is so difficult is because he changes his mind (and the test dates) constantly. You never have a real handle on where the class is as far as the material is concerned. It was absolutely awful taking his class.
Took Truong for DE over summer and he is really bad when it comes to explaining the concepts and he keeps changing due dates. He is very easy but I don't think it is worth it.
Binh is a little hard to understand, isn't the BEST teacher, but makes up for it by being more forgiving with due dates and the occasional extra credit. He is strict about not slacking off in the class and keeping you on your toes. I definitely have never studied for tests harder. He is a very nice man at heart and wants to see his students succeed
His grading is pretty generous, but it's not worth it. He doesn't even really teach, he just does problems up on the point with no explanation and usually making a lot of mistakes in the process. Due dates and expectations constantly change, so you can't even know if you're doing it right until you see your grades.
Was the most amazing class !!! Yes you must actually read and write but you are given assignments on topics relatable to the students and to things we care about
For tests, he tell you one or two class sessions ahead of time. For lecture, he often makes one or two mistakes for every problem that he does on the board. You don't learn much because he doesn't put in the effort to be organized, make content understandable, or address questions student have. Be prepared for him to not answer your questions.
Very unorganized, makes a lot of mistakes, unclear about his expectations, is defensive if you ask for clarification, is always late for class or comes back late from breaks, tried to cram too much information in session. Don't take him if you have a choice!
very unorganized. does not explain concepts well. does not answer questions well. horrible instructor
Professor Truong is highly educated, in fact he has a PHD, in obfuscation. His lectures have the clarity of a brick. His ability to answer questions is on par with that of a rock. He just writes equations on the board, skips 10 steps and comes up with the wrong answer. No explanation, and one can't follow what he's doing. The book is terrible too.
It is clear that he does not put any effort into his teaching and the class is very frustrating. Not only is he is difficult to understand, Truong is all over the place when it comes to due dates, etc.
Truong will help you if you ask him. Pay attention, follow along and you'll get out what you put in. Yes hes not always on time and takes tangents on his personal life but he is a good professor worth taking.
Lectures are all over the place. The teacher was always late. During a mid class break he would leave for 30-45 mins and then come back and dismiss the class, wasting everyone's time. Keep ALL tests/quiz's that are handed back. He lost my midterm and accused me of not taking it. He just had it in his office ungraded. Double check everything he does
Great guy, extremely smart.
Great guy, awful teacher. He clearly knows his stuff, but he just can't explain it well. Lectures from a pretty useless book. He's pretty lenient on grading though and his stories he tells are super inspirational. Not an easy class but put in the work and he'll pass you. Might not learn anything though. Take only as a last option.
This is by far the worst teacher I've ever had. He is very funny and nice, but it is clear he is not a great teacher. His lectures are not very informative. There is a lot of homework, but he is by far the most lenient prof I have ever had. He will bump your grade up if you ask and let you retake tests and homework you fail. Don't take this class.
Ugh. Interesting guy but awful teacher. Hard to read what's on the board. Tests don't make sense. doesnt seem to care about helping you succeed in the course.
Professor Troung class was very easy. If you need help you can simply ask him and he is happy to help. He wants you to pass his class so if your willing to put a little effort than you should be fine.
Smart guy. Awful Professor. His tests are half take home and half in class. But he doesn't grade the take home, his TA does so beware because sometimes they grade bad. His tests aren't hard, its just the questions are hard to understand as to what he wants. Horrible lectures and does NOT prepare for his lectures. Disorganized, but smart professor.
This guy is one of the greatest math teachers I have taken in my academic career. Took two sections with him so far, and I wouldn't mind taking him again. Very nice professor. He knows what he's doing and explains the material very well. His tests are easy and he's lenient on grading. If you study hard you will pass his class.
Made me realize I can do whatever my heart desires. If he can be a math professor I can be a rocket scientist. Thank you for teaching me you don't have to be good at something in order to make it. Bless up
STOP. DNAGER AHEAD WHATEVER YOU DONT SIGN UP FOR ANY CLASS OF HIS!!!!!!!!!
Wruong way turn back
There are take home exams (heavy material-but honestly you'll be fine) and in class exams (not too bad). For the in class exams you can use a 8 by 11 (front and back) cheat sheet--really helps. He gives LOADS of HW. Quizzes are unorganised; only had like 5 quizzes here and there. He genuinely cares for students; any concerns he'll accommodate.
Had him for math 370 & 401. His best things are that he lets you take home tests that count for 2/3 and 1/3 of it in class, including final. He's also very lienant on grading. Neg is that he's not great at lecturing and lots of HW. But complete everything and you'll def pass. Will take him again for DE, bc of take home tests and bc of his leniency
Prof T did his best but he was generally off topic and disorganized. He rarely seemed to know what his education plan moving forward was and we often had to explain to him what it was he had said in the previous class. Very frustrating but I survived. Be nice to him because he is well intentioned and will always try to make right his mistakes.
This guy has to be one of the smartest professors I've ever had but at the same time one of the hardest to understand. He is late to class a lot but if you do your work and pay attention you will learn. Also, he is very open to helping during his office hours so take advantage of that. Isn't the "easy" professor if thats what youre looking for.
Don't take this guy. Its not worth it believe me when you get into higher courses your will regret that you took him and leaned nothing. People take him because he is easy. Don't take him.
I only go to his class because i love his stories. they are very deep and make you learn about life and how you see life. uh yeah math? what is math? lol you should get ready to study by yourself and do alot of hw that he wont give them back. class is alright. hard to understand him sometimes
The class is very chaotic and he is hard to understand. Basically you need to teach yourself DE. I would only take his class if there is no other option.
He is nice guy. Make sure to ready every chapter dont skip it. He s nice and caring. I know a lot of people just take his class to just skim it. But if you want to do good in future read chapters. He will help you.
Truong was a real homie to me and my friends. Excellent teacher who definitely knows his stuff. Accent is a bit heavy, but honestly you get use to it quick and his English isn't nearly as bad as everyone on here pegs it to be.
He's a good professor, knows his stuff. He makes mistakes quite often but will correct himself. His exams can be challenging but if you do the homework, you will be fine. His homework is a lot of problems, around 100+ each chapter, but if you actually take time to do the problem and learn it, the exams are doable. His TA grades exams very harsh.
One of the best classes I've taken! He's a character and his stories and life insights were amazing. Had him during a semester where things went south for me and he enabled me to pass (and actually learn the material) where that wouldn't have been possible with other classes. He goes above and beyond. Take him! (And do the homework.)
Take him for an easy A and not much knowledge.
Take him for an easy A and not much knowledge. he mostly tells stories in class and makes a lot of mistakes
Professor Truong is a good teacher. I learn a lot from his class. His class helps me survive in precalculus so far. Follow his lecture in class and do homework. You will get A
Took him for DE and Calc 3. He was fine. A lot of homework problems to do. Sometimes hard to understand but if you ask after class, he will clarify. Some of the test problems can be difficult but there are easier ones as well. You will be prepared for the test as long as you put the effort in doing the homework problems.
By far the worst prof I've ever had. Assigns +100 homework assignments with little to no help or instruction. Lectures are chaotic, unplanned, and incomprehensible. He makes mistakes during his lectures, doesn't fix them, and doesn't understand students when they try to help. He has a strong accent and low English skills. I learned almost nothing.
He is the best professor I have ever taken! Some people dont like him because his english is not the best. He sometimes gives takehome exams and extra credits and more etc. I would take his class again.
Great instructor. Some students don't like his accent, and they accuse him of a lack of organization. Yet, I liked how he approaches mathematics, first, he gives the theoretical concept, then he gives examples. Great knowledge of this subject in his head.!
While his English skills are limited he taught concepts well and had a good amount of examples in class. However, if you are planning on taking his class online (I had him during COVID-19) then I'd suggest changing. HW was due before lectures were posted and online lectures were just awful. Tests were assigned 1-3 days before due date.
8 week course, overall easy teacher. Pay attention to lecture, do not rely on lecture notes alone . Stay on top of homework, it helps for test/exam. if you understand material you will understand his test. He allows some take home tes and will opt to drop lowest test or exam score at the end of the semester
I am unfortunately stuck taking this class online due to COVID-19. There is absolutely no guidance from the professor. Also, when I asked for assistance trying to understand a problem, the email I received back was the pg of the book that the formula was found. I already knew that, but didn't understand, so thanks for the help! *sarcasm* >.>
I assume that he is a nice guy and maybe even a decent professor in person. But I am taking his 6-week summer course online (coronavirus). And it is just a webassign course, in which all the tests, quizzes, and homework are done through there. He does add "lectures" but he just uploads "theorganicchemistrytutor" videos.
Only 4 weeks in to the online course due to the school shut down. I already know how the semester is going to go. Makes quiz and exam back to back with the exam on a Saturday. He only told us yesterday about the exam. No class syllabus schedule No study guide for exams?! NO LECTURE ONLY NOTES?! Basically teaching myself Calc 3. Wish I had Prof Pico
This class was all online due to COVID. Prof. didn't offer any instruction or assistance AT ALL! He had office hours, yet explained the material too quickly and didn't have a well functioning camera and audio system, so it was basically useless. He didn't grade anything the whole semester and sounded rude in every announcement. Don't take him!
Professor Truong is very lenient and caring, he cares for his students and encourages them to pass. Especially during online class, he respected our time and wasn't overwhelming with work. Don't procrastinate and you will pass!
Class is completely asynchronous and he does not provide any videos for the concepts being taught. Instead of videos, .doc notes are provided. I don't necessarily mind the asynchronous aspect of the class, but at the very least provide videos for the concepts. Talk about a lazy professor.
Prof. Truong is complete garbage. Period. He is SUPER rude and uses caps in his emails way too often. Apparently, no one told him that using caps in an email to your students sends the wrong message. Also, his spelling and grammar is off in his notes and emails. I guess reading it is better than trying to understand what he's saying verbally.
DO NOT TAKE ONLINE. Professor does absolutely nothing to teach the material, only provides a .doc of "lecture notes" WITH NO PROVIDED LECTURE. You would have to read and teach yourself. Would send emails with what seemed as an attitude. Dropped after one week because I knew it was all bad.
Without a doubt one of the worst, if not the worst, math professors I have had up to this point. He is BEYOND lazy, and does not provide any lectures for his course. He is literally a professor that does it for the paycheck; nothing else. IF YOU WANT TO TEACH YOURSELF HOW TO SOLVE DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS, THEN TRUONG IS FOR YOU. Truong is a disgrace
All tests are taken through webassign using a lockdown browser but he doesn't use proctorio. Due dates are usually posted as 1am Sunday not 11:59pm Sunday. You don't really know when tests and quizzes are going to be. The start of the semester was a mess but over time he's been getting the hang of online classes so by summer it might be better.
Prof. Truong does not teach well. He may know a lot about mathematics, but that doesn't make him a good teacher. Having the ability to teach well is more than just knowing a lot about the subject, it's about ensuring that the student understands the material and presenting concepts in such a way so the student will understand.
Professor Truong is easily the worst professor I've had. He sends rude, condescending emails and is unhelpful when you try reaching out to him. Constantly changes due dates and gives little to no notice of quizzes and exams. Grading system is a mystery. Puts ZERO effort into actually teaching and is a terrible communicator. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. This professor does not do lectures! At no point do you get a lecture on how to do anything within his math class. Prepare to spend countless hours trying to figure Calculus out by yourself and youtube.
HE is very helpful and nice
All homework is done through webassign and he posts notes on canvas. Notes usually don't help as much as live lectures. So my #1 recommendation is to watch The Math Sorcerer on youtube. He uses the same book and covers most of the sections we go over in Truong's class. Also some sections are awful like 4.8 and 5.2 test sometimes have HW questions.
heavy accent and English but a genius. read the book yourself and do the chapter exercises since exams question are based on those. some take home and some in-class exams. you won't learn from his lectures unless you kinda know things ahead. on exam days he leaves the classroom for a coffee so you can comfortably do your exam. easy A if you hustle
The worst Professor I have ever had, Extremely unorganized, will change due dates all the time to make you suffer, rude, doesn't care about students. No video lectures or office hours, He wants you to study on your on. This is not an easy class and trust me you can't do it on your own unless you are extremely motivated and math genius.
Take this professor if you want to self teach yourself the topic and get 0 exam preparations. He throws curve ball questions with 0 relation to the homework consistently. You have to do homework via WileyPlus which is $70.00 for a class that you basically teach yourself in. Expect little to no communication and resources when you take this course.
He extends homeworks that's why I gave him a 2. He doesn't teach. Unless you have a strong foundation of Calculus I/II, do not take his class. If you want to focus on other courses that matters more for you but need his class, do it. Beware: He might be in your class's Discord. Don't open exams unless he posted an instruction on Canvas.
Do not take this professor if you care about learning the material or if you want an enjoyable class experience. Do take this class if you care little about school and want an easier grade. I have never had a professor procrastinate before, nor have I had a professor so unresponsive. If you don't care about this class, then he's perfectly fine.
His ability to conduct an online course is abysmal at best. Don't even bother sending an email as you will not get a response. He does not use canvas well and requires quizzes/exams to be submitted by email. This class in its entirety is just WEBASSIGN homework and quizzes..... Do not take this class if you are actually trying to learn calculus.
He does not really seem to care about the students at all. You have to learn everything by yourself.
He DOES NOT TEACH, he just gives typed lecture notes and lets you read the textbook. And, he expects you to understand the material that way. Most of the time he did not answer emails in a timely manner and when he did he was very rude and disrespectful.
Do not take this professor guys. He is not good enough to call as a professor too. He does not even teach anything. His announcements are weird. His email replies are rude. He is so irresponsible to students. You might lose your grade not because of your fault because of his irresponsibility. just do not take this class. You will learn nothing.
DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HIS ONLINE COURSES! DO NOT! Trust me. It took him WEEKS to open the assignments on an application YOU pay for. He messes up due dates by margins of weeks, he doesn't respond to emails, doesn't update students, nothing. He has outsourced everything and somehow still manages to screw the entire class! LOLLLLLLLL
Do not take any of his online courses at all.
Do not take any math class with this professor.
0 out of 5, take anyone else. The worst, shouldn't be a teacher. Ghosted class for much of semester, hw assignments are blank, no lectures/teaching, only his extremely confusing "notes". had to email dean 2x bc no one could do any assignments, tests have unclear due dates & are unrelated to material, belligerent, grading totally unclear
Professor made the class harder than it was supposed to be. Was 1 month late into our semester and blames us for being behind when he never responded or gave assignments. With ALL honesty, try your best to stay away. Dean got involved with our class.
Pinnacle of teaching yourself. Does not post lectures or notes; only homework, quizzes, and exams. I hope you are ready to use Cengage because the entire class is on that terrible website. He does not post grades until they are final so you have no idea how well you are actually doing in class.
You have to teach yourself a lot of the concepts. The professor does round up grades for the most part, and allows retakes on tests/exams, and unlimited attempts on the homework. Don't worry if you fail the first time -- look them over and improve the next time. I watched AspireMtnAcademy videos for the most part and that helped me out.
confusing notes, condescending towards students, slow to post grades and homework. tests and quizzes on cengage, no partial credit. take only if u have good understanding of math and are okay with figuring out the material urself and would rather have it that way
Do not take this professor. Very unprofessional, doesn't plan his classes well, no communication whatsoever to his classes. He will use any mistake or inconvenience made by his poor planning against the students and expect you to complete exams and assignments with short notice.
DON'T TAKE THIS COURSE! The professor is so neglectful of his students. At one point, he forgot about the course for three entire days and did not communicate with any of us during that time. No lectures, his notes are trash half-copied from the textbook. YOU WILL BE TEACHING YOURSELF EVERYTHING. Not worth the money you spend on him. Go elsewhere.
Poor communicator. Rude, and won't answer questions properly. Unprofessional, and didn't update the course canvas for a three days (meaning we were stuck taking quizzes back to back with little time to prepare). I struggled to learn from his lectures (much of which was repeated from the textbook) and instead had to self-teach on YouTube. Stay away.
This guy does not teach at all. He just cares about collecting $. He usually has 8 or more courses each semester, mostly at ARC and Sierra. Don't know why he has been around for a long time. Take him if you can teach yourself.
You have to self teach but you get multiple attempts on test, quiz, and homework. An A is very possible but just do "view example" on Pearson if you don't understand. He doesn't send any emails or announcements. You are on your own but he wants you to pass. He extends deadlines and replies to emails. If you can self learn it is a easy course.
Terrible professor. Go elsewhere. Lack of communication and very confusing to understand.
I cannot overstate how poor the experience of "learning" in one of Prof. Truong's courses is. This is BY FAR the worst experience I have had in school. I can only surmise that he doesn't care if you learn given the fact he provides no resources other than incomplete/illegible notes. He posts things weeks late and doesn't change due dates. STAY AWAY
The only reason I gave him a 2 is because he let me retake an exam since I had a family emergency. He was a terrible professor; I couldn't learn anything from his notes.
Extra credit for participation
Did not provide lectures, and notes were out of order and written on material not used or explained (overall not usable). Class had to be assisted by alumni of the class who knew he wouldn't actually teach us. Do not take this professor at any cost.
Took the class fully online. Professor almost never posts lectures, announcements, anything like that. It is basically self taught. Entire class is outsourced to Web Assign. Honestly disappointed in the school for allowing classes to be taught this way. I am actually going back to in person classes just to avoid this professor next semester.
READ THIS. This guy is the worst professor you can imagine. He has no lectures, did not grade a single assignment, gets frustrated when you contact him. He posts everyone's grades for the class to see. His syllabus explicitly states that he will not be accommodating for time extensions. He gets away with doing absolutely nothing for his job.
Can be hard to understand but does a good job teaching. Will explain what to expect on the tests and show you examples. No surprises or stuff you haven't seen before on exams.
Avoid this class at all costs. The professor is unorganized, unresponsive, and the course is incredibly confusing. Thankfully, tools like unstuckstudy AI helped with studying.
8 week class with hw, quiz, and test for each chapter. I never read the book or watched lectures. You can learn by selecting the "Teach me how to solve this" in the hw. Upload data tables to excel and do functions and calculations there to save time. If you keep a 95%, no final. He gives a lot of extensions for all the assignments.
This professor posting lecture and then just one homework assignment during whole week . If you know math it's easy . And he not grading any assignment till end of semester.
This is quite literally the worst professor in existence. He is impossible to get a hold of. He assured me he would re open an exam for me to take as I missed it due to family issues, then never responded. He responds 2 weeks after the semester is over, and tells me I cant take it and said If I cared enough, I should have taken it at the start....
This more of a teach yourself type class, most of the class consist of you reading the textbook and doing hw questions. Professor is hard to reach out to to the point I had to contact the dean to get ahold of him. Only do this class if you can teach yourself.
Avoid this professor at all costs if you have a choice. I received an A, never dipped below ~95% throughout the entire semester, and it was the most frustrating class I've ever taken. There were no lectures. Zero information or helpful content from the him. He relied entirely on the required textbook. In essence, you have to teach yourself calc 3.
The most frustrating class i have taken through 3 years of taking classes at sierra and arc. Completely inaccessible, took over a week to respond to an email with a single word. No notes other than cobbled together book notes with some broken english thrown together. Exports the entire class to webassign, including exams. Please go elsewhere for DE
