He likes flirting with his girl students.

He likes to sleep during the lab and tests which is good. Sometimes he sleeps on his feet.
He's such a jerk. He doesn't really care about his students. Once he fell asleep in his office and was an hour late to his evening class. He's so unprofessional. Take another professor - you won't learn anything from him.
I dont like him. He is very unhelpful. Anything you know, he'll help you forget it. Unless if your a beautiful blonde with a nice butt he wont give a dam about you. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE!!
Grades fairly.
take this class with dr. brown, he explains things much more clearly.
He is a good person. Good teacher for lab but not lecture. If you want to just pass the class, take him but if you want to learn something, not a good chose. I've had him as a lab teacher and he is very easy, not strict at all. Class is relaxed and he explains the lab procedure everything patiently.
He is the best professor, I have ever seen. People who say negative comments, I have read the comments, they should not even attend to any college period. He is over qualified to be a professor. I wish all the professor knew how to teach like himself!!!
He slept the day of the exam in his office, we had to go wake him up.Boring, unclear, uninterested in teaching, gets paid for nothing. Because of the low curve in class, you end up with a B or C even if you were failing. Did not learn anything. Irritating....
He is really a good professor and a good man, all 400 lbs of him.
looserrrrr...
One of the best teachers I've ever had! I have a bachelor's degree from another school so I have many instructors to compare him with. He respects your questions and will do his best to make things clear for you. His jokes are corny but he really knows how to explain difficult topics that arise in chemistry. I learned so much!!
great teacher very helpful
Hes a very nice guy. He helps to the extent that he ends up doing your work for you. He tends to fall asleep during tests, which is hilarious, but hes a great guy. Much love to Landberg.
He is really easy professor. he gives some extra credits and some tests can take with a note. he also curves a test grade. in my class, only one got C and most student got A. Take with him!

He is an easy teacher. He could be a better lecturer, but i mean if ur takin chem 102 u gotta be able to do some SERIOUS indepedent studying. If you do that ahead of class and go to class just to clearify it,i dont see how its not possible for u not to do good with Landberg. The best is when you really get close with him, he practically does ur work
he is very nice and i took with him in the winter time.
He's a easy going teacher. His lab work is fine as well; it's not the thing that a person usually thinks it would be. He's lenient and explains fairly. He helps anyone who in confused about the experiment. At times, he seems lazy. He also suspends class whenever there's a "need" which is so cool. I'm not so sure what he's like in lecture.

i enjoyed his class.
he is a very bad professor and very lazy too.
he is avery good teacher. very approachable. he was always there when we had some question or was confused about something in the lab work.i'd definitely take my next chemistry class with him again
take him if u know something about chemistry. if u r a zero take somebody else
Ok Professor Landberg is the cutest thing ever!!!! He is sooooooo adorable and funny!! Just be nice to him and he'll cut you some slack and will even do some work for you. He is not a hard grader at alllllllll. His lectures are kind of unclear, but he offers extra credit work and helps you when you need help! Overall, he is very kik back!!
The lasiest and hardest teacher their is for such an easy subject. Also the most unfair and boring their is for chemistry.
He is the best professor. I WISH HE WILL TEACH ORGANIC ONE DAY. He is a goos roll model.
I had him for lab in Chem 68 and for both lab and lecture for Chem 101. He is a very nice guy, but doesn't care what you do. You won't learn anything unless you try cause he hands out grades. Wouldn't take him if you are going to go into the science field.
Chemistry for me was extremely difficult to begin with but he did nothing to make it easier. he's nice to the women who are attractive, young and skinny but if you don't fall into that category, he won't help you. HOWEVER = he WILL be very generous with grades. i didn't do well on some of my exams, but i tried, i did my labs and i got a 'B'. :)
The material was very easy, but Landberg somehow found a way to make the tests hard. He made a lot of errors on the tests, and never seemed to be aware of what he had actually taught up to that point. Other things would occasionally slip his mind, like due dates and such. He likes to sleep in his lab sections. He seems very old and tired.
The worst proffessor at LACC. If you dont study by yourself you ll not learn anything. He is sleeping in labs. If you want learn something dont take him.
no comment... :(
Non-systematic way of teaching. Almost self-study for everything. Sometimes, makes fun of students even on inappropriate times (like after getting back failing exam results). But he makes a lot of effort in producing workshops to enhance and practice learnings/skills from lectures.
I am currently taking chem 101 with him. He is so annoying, he makes fun of people and do not explain his material. Chemistry is essay but he makes it complicated. If you love chemistry, take it with someone else not him. If you are a girl, congratulations because he will help you pass the class.
If you put in an effort you will do fine. Students will only get out of it from what one puts in. Landberg will provide additional assistance if you request/need it. Come on ... this is community college!!!
he is one of the best professor i have ever have. he pays attention to all students
He cares about his students. Always willing to help out with anything. Really gotta study hard though.Tests are really simple. He sometimes curves them. So far mostly males end up passing the class. Beware though u WILL spend hours studying. Do not hesitate to ask him questions. He is nicer to girls than guys. Overall he's ok.
He is a great professor, but if you want to have a good grade, you have to study the book yourself. I study hard which solved all questions from the end of the chapters and got an A. It will be better if you completed math 125 because this class needs more than basic algebra skill.
Great professor in that he goes out of his way to help students. In lecture he doesnt teach in depth, so you need to teach yourself using the textbk & online wrk. Tests are easy, pop quizes r ok. Recommend for those who want to learn chem w/o worrying about grade he curves at the end. He locks door if ur late!
i was from his "rat pack." he shouldn't be teaching chem 60 or 101, he should be teaching higher chem. he has way to much knowledge for what his doing at this point.
Before I took his class I thought I was hopeless when it came to chem. Landberg showed me easy ways to understand the material. But I had to put in a lot of effort with practice problems as well. He is not a strong lecturer but if you read the book you should be able to follow along. See him in his office if you need extra help, he's happy to help!
Professor Landberg has amazing personality and super sweet professor. He is a Great teacher and grades papers fast. If you want to learn while not being bored out of your mind take professor Landberg. He is an extremely good teacher and is there to help you learn.
He is knowledgeable, reasonable, fair, and flexible. Read the chapters before you show up to lecture because you are supposed to anyway. He doesn't tolerate irresponsible students... as if any Professor does. So be responsible, do your part, and you will learn and have fun doing it.
Professor Landberg is best of the best. Very helpful and clear. Take him and you'll not regret.
Great professor. Super helpful in Lab too, goes over the procedure in lecture and demo in lab. Must pay attn, go to every class because he jumps between chps & doesn't lecture in great detail, but if you ask for help he'll guide you in the right direction. Do the math problems on your own before lecture or you'll be lost
He's a really cool and chill Prof. He knows his material well, so you will learn from him. He is always there during labs to answer questions and to demo, etc. Very helpful. Also he's a fair grader; he won't pick on you and pull any grade out of his ass. Not hard to get an A if you put in the work and do the labs. Lot of extra credit as well cheers
Was not very clear during lecture. If you're taking chem for the first time, I recommend someone else. He explains it to you as if you should already know. I read the book and still struggled. He is a very nice man, but his lectures aren't too clear.
expects you to know material that he doesnt even go over in class. Goes on and on about how global warming is a hoax (seriously). HORRIBLE at explaining things. Offers snide remarks when asked questions. youll thank me later. More than 20% of the class already dropped, go figure. He should be removed from the ranks of teachers. Avoid at all costs.
He is all over the place. There is no structure to the way he teaches the class.
If you can read a book and learn from it, Landberg's your guy, otherwise, take abother teacher. He doesn't explain his things, and even says he doesn't have time to teach math. I ended up dropping the class, but I am going to get another teacher next semester. I can't recommend him.
Prof. Landberg might be a nice man; however, the way he teaches the class is just not helpful. His lectures are confusing. He expects you to know the material even though this is Intro to Chemistry. I would not recommend him, you will have to learn the book by yourself.
This is not an easy class, but like with everything in life, you get what you put in. Prof Landberg is a nice man that will help you if you ask for it. He teaches from a perspective of a person who knows Ch and thinks that everyone else should see things clearly as he does. You must know math and work hard, and you can get an A, for sure. I did.
Ridiculously easy. I question those who are complaining about Landberg. Most of his tests are not multiple choice, which is great. He gives out points generously, even if you don't get the right answer. Also, the tests he gives are all fair game. Sure, he doesn't teaches, but dedicating an hour a day to self study is more than enough to get an A.
Great professor! He is a very genial guy. Attendance IS mandatory. It is equally necessary for you to complete your labs. Labs are very important. He has numerous sample tests on his website. Do them. Make sure you read the chapter before attending his lecture. Also, make SURE to have a lab notebook - carbon copies are necessary. Great instructor!
Ehh. This guy is not clear
If ur not into science its fine but if u ARE u in the wrong class!!! Ur gonna be happy if u get C on 101 w another instructor after landberg s chem 60!!!!!
Landberg seems like a nice enough guy, but is all over the place & constantly drifts into tangents. He doesn't follow his syllabus as intensely as he would like his students to think, but it is useful as a rough guideline. In my experience he seems off-putting when it comes to helping his students & at times will make you feel stupid.
Don't take him. It will be waste of your time.
I took Chem 60 got a ) and 101 got an A I was miserable, studied a lot, did textbook problems also mastering chem. His lecture weren't organize, doesn't care with his student. I'm taking chem 102 at Mission College with Prof. Paz... his crystal clear, organize, care with student, he also teach chem 65 please I recommended take prof. Paz
I took chem 60 and 101 with him If you wanna learn chemistry and need to take until upper level chem PLEASE DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! Because: His lecture were not clear, his not organize, he doesn't teach and doesn't care with his student!! I'm taking chem 102 at Mission College with Prof. Paz... I recommended to take him, he teach chem 60, 101 & 102
Cons:He is horrible at explaining things and tests you on concepts you have not learned. When he lectures he thinks he is reviewing things you ALREADY know. He himself admits that he does not know what the books covers. In addition he he is very unfair with his test problems. Pros: he gives a lot of extra credit. Can be funny
He lets you use your phone during class... even if he says otherwise ps he really does not care about teaching. he just like to talk and thinks he is talking to himself
Felt overwhelmed and felt that I couldn't pass this class. But I did, I got an A. Read the book, ask questions, visit his office, YouTube if you must and you'll pass, that's what I did. Would definitely take again, he's a fun teacher. The bad reviews are from lazy students that don't try. Great professor!!
Prof Landberg looks and sound intimidating but he's really generous in giving out scores on Labs. Do all extra credit ( online hw, WS). It will help you in pumping up your grades since his exams are not easy unless you study well.
Extremely easy to pass, but hard to get an A. The test can be difficult but the point distribution makes the test not that important. You can pass even if you bomb every single test. His lectures are interesting , and he is a very easy grader. Attendance and book not necessary , although it does help.
He is very nice and not a strict grader. This class is easy to pass because as long as you do assigned worksheets and labs, you will pass. However, tests are not easy. You must study beyond what he teaches in lecture. He sucks at explaining. He does not tell you what to do in lab so make a lot of friends in class; you will be lost in some point.
Easy grade but I had a tutor. Lots of studying, still but if you're efficient then you'll be fine. Ask a lot of questions for extra clarity. Nice, funny guy. Make a lot of friends in class for help!
Easy to pass. Tests are hard but as long as you show up, do the worksheets, do the lab he gives consideration and will give you a passing grade. Hard to get an "A" If you need to take chemistry as a part of your pre requisites, take him, but if you really want to understand chemistry, take someone else.
Have to know what you're calculating or finding. Easy grader on Lab. Should do the lab with other classmates. Have to know: the elements, moles, molarity, and know to balance equation. Must know how to do the workshops.
Easy class, but he can do a bit more explaining. He gets a bit nicer when the students leave after lab, so you can ask him questions then. If you want to understand his lectures and follow along, make sure you read the chapters beforehand. He also gives you a lot of extra credit and he curves the grades, so with a little work, you can get that A.
I'm taking his class this semester, I thought he would be a good professor but unfortunately he lacks the time to explain things clearly. I study a lot and his lectures are boring. I study and its still a bit difficult to understand.
I wrote the comment below, but his class wasn't something I would've expected. Wow! What a great professor, lectures & labs are very fun, interesting & engaging. I highly recommend taking his class. He is hilarious, gives extra credit, there for you, would take again. Highly recommend taking his class. Skip a lab class you'll fall behind a lot!
I just love his class, I wish he would teach Chemistry 101, Chemistry 102 and up. He's a great teacher, funny, and really awesome. Highly recommend, I couldn't have asked for a better Chemistry teacher! Best in the Chemistry Department!
Great teacher. I don't know why a lot of people hate him so much. He's a very easy grader. Lots of extra credit. The hardest part in this class is learning nomenclature, once you know all the names the tests are easy as hell. Too bad he doesn't teach 101 and 102!
The best professor ever! He's funny & cares about students. He can be a bit serious but overall he's very awesome & has a good sense of humor. I really enjoyed his class. If you miss a lab, beware of falling way behind so you'll have to catch up on experiments, which some are long. I highly recommend his class, his labs are awesome. Love his class
Took him in spring 2016 semester. Intimidating at first but participate a lot & he'll like you. Curves grades at the end but don't slack off. Don't miss a lab, but you can make it up. Do all hw, workshops &detailed lab reports. Ask questions. Doesn't cover everything so study! Make friends in lab, you'll need it. Print labs beforehand. Good Luck!
I took his Chemistry 60 course and he is an awesome professor. You really learn, he gives extra credit and he is funny. Skip a lab and you'll fall behind in your experiments. Lab class is very fun, interesting and engaging since its mostly experiments. Highly recommend his class. You do need to buy the goggles to do the experiments
I took his class for Spring and he's a very great professor. Opportunity for extra credit. Miss a lab class and you'll fall way behind. Each lab meeting is a new lab unless its a long lab. He's hilarious and serious.
Professor gives opportunity for extra credit. Labs, workshops, and homework are essential to passing as they make up about half of your grade. Exams are pretty straight forward & he also gives partial credit. Would take him again!
This class was so easy! However, I learned most of the Chemistry from this class in high school. Just go to class and he goes over the workshops in class and slowly explains the labs in class. He gives many extra credit opportunities and is lenient with grading. I would definitely recommend Prof. Landberg for Chem 60.
DO NOT TAKE IN WINTER! It is brutal, 1-2labs/day, lots of material."A" students struggle with the pace. He's a good professor, but prepared to spend 2-3 hrs+ a day to succeed in winter. He likes to tell stories, time passes quick, and he's very nice. He tells you when pop quizzes are, but not everything that will be on it. Study your notes.
C60 winter: No one passed EVERY quiz/ test so final was unbelievably easy. (everyone got b/a). Labs50% grade. You can get Cs on tests yet still get an A in the class. Curves heavily and Tons xtra credit. Get ready 2 self learn bc he doesn't explain well. gives xtra hard ?s on tests/quizzes. Prereq:Mth125. Has no patience for kids w/ 0 math skills
His grading heavily relies on your Labs, do them and answer ALL of the questions. You miss 1 to 3 labs and that's already a C. His lectures are confusing since he takes shortcuts, the textbook is your best friend. He curves the grades, BUT his tests are hard. Study your butt off if you want to get an A, it's possible. Don't take over the winter!
He assigns a lot of experiments for lab. You have to print out a lot of sheets and basically figure out how to do the experiments yourself. He tells you if you're wrong/right but does NOT teach you how. Lecture is worse. Hard to read this writing. Explains bits and pieces. You have to teach yourself everything because he does such a bad job
He's teaching system is excellent. maximum student pass his class. Not too much homework. Tests are very easy.
He is VERY unorganized. Most of the time students would come into lab not knowing which experiment we were working on. Sometimes wed overlap experiments in the same day! Otherwise hes really funny and lets you make up labs. He also is very lenient with his grading.
