She trys to make the class interesting with slides, music, video clips etc. She trys to get to know you on a first name basis and is very friendly. The class is mostly note taking and you have to read the book on your own.
she is a great teacher but the course is difficult so u have to put effort...she is real easy going and a very sweet lady...i highly recommend her
You cannot just slide by in this class. but she does dedicate herself to helping you.
Great Professor, really knows her stuff. Easy A
She is a pretty nice teacher and tries to know your name even though there are 100 kids in the class. She really wants everyone to succeed. She's pretty hot too so that's a plus!
Pretty nice, but dudes dont get your hopes up, shes not hot! shes kinda all over the place material wise, LOTS of info to know.
not clear at all on what the hell she wants....tests are very difficult. She gets your hopes up on a good grade for no reason. not very highly recommended
This was her first time teaching this class. She's a very nice lady but the tests are hard. She also tried to cram a lot of assingments into a small amout of time.
She loves to get to know you personally, very nice, very enthusiastic about the material. She doesnt cover everything on syllabus but class is interesting. You need to go to class to pass!
I had Dr. Giza this semester. The class was really hard and she was ok helping you. The best thing is that she is really pretty, so you can ignore her lack of teaching skills.
She makes it seem like she tells you everything to know on study guides but then test is filled with random situation questions.. You can study all night for a test and never be assured a good grade.
really nice lady who wants you to succeed.... a lot of information to know tho
Real nice lady, but def. a little out there. A lot of information to study but it is an interesting course. She confuses me a little and isn't completely clear. She very knowledgable in her field. If you don't study and go to class you're in bad shape.
Giza does love to get to know you and wants you to pass, plenty of opportunites if you bomb a test to bring your grade back up. Go to class, study, look for "take home messages." Theres a lot of information and you can tell she is a very intelligent woman. Its an easy class.
Out There. Disorganized. Lectures move at speed of light. Touches on things for 5 mins, then tests on them. HW is graded, but not gone over until 4 wks later so you have no idea how you did and how to apply it to a test. Uses personal website for info. Learned more about her family than statistics.
Super nice- really unorganized. Alpt pf class time spent talking about off-topic or not-important issues. Class is packed full of important concepts, but unless you read the book- you wont get a good grasp. I think she'll get better as she settles in to the position.
Giza is THE sweetest professor you'll ever meet...and she REALLY wants you to succeed. Just READ THE BOOK FIRST!!! or you will be very confused by lecture (she spends too much time bringing the "not so intelligent" up to speed. She'll do anything to help, just ask---and READ THE BOOK!! Its easy!!!
very nice lady, IN NO WAY QUALIFIED to instruct. If you take stats with Giza learn to teach everything to yourself. Her lectures are confusing and non inclusive of course content
very nice woman. cares alot that u pass.. gives u 65 questions on test, only have to answer 50. gives u a study guide, has review seshes, and summaries for extra credit. need to come to class to pass tests, but dont think the tests are that bad.
she seems nice but she covers about 3/4 of what she puts on the syllabus.. and the majority of it at the end of the year is just reading the chapters on your own and then being tested on them. the format of her tests are good though (pick 50 out of 65 to answer)
She means well, really wants you to learn, will do anything to help. Test are hard and she is not very clear on what is on the test. Doesn't take attendence but you should go, if she knows you and likes you, she will help you out
loved this class, pretty easy, in class notes are unorganized, but will answer any questions yhou have, also held group study sessions, don't go to them unless you're prepared tho
Sometimes takes roundabout ways to explain things, but she does mean well. Tests are a great format (you answer 50 q's out of bank of 65), which helps a lot. Doesn't try to do trick questions, and lectures will generally keep you enertained.
such a nice lady! very intelligent and understanding. she really wants you to do well and will help you do so. tests are kinda hard
she's goes off talking about random things that does not apply to material. The worst thing about her is that she waits until three days before the test to give you the study guide, which are like three pages long.(it's impossible to study all that in three days)
What a sweetie! Go over all of the study guide before exams and you will do fine. Go to class too and it's not hard. And she gives lots of extra credit.
Hard material but she tries to make it as easy as possible. A lot of take home tests, kind of hard but you will do good if you put in some effort. Gives lots of bonus points.
One of the easiest classes I've ever taken. Everything is right out of the book.
Love her. She is a great professor and would recommend her to anyone. Exams can be hard but were all take-home. She genuinely cares that her students do well in her classes. Shes fun, and makes the material interesting.
Tries so hard to make everything as easy as possible. She gives extra points if the room is hot because she feels as a psychologist that that may keep you form rememebr an answer to a question. Just studyf ro the exams and read over her guides. It's all in there!!!!
I loved Dr. Giza!! She is just a big sweetheart. She gave out take home tests, which were actually kind of hard BUT if you had 120 questions, you only had to answer 100 and you could pick which ones. Extra credit always available. As for personality, she is an absolute doll. I'm sure that you will love her.
Should have been an easy class. She was a little random, and her tests were kind of confusing. Was not too thrilled with her.
awful
really liked this class. attendance is extra credit.
What a hottie... sign up just to gaze at her gorgeous smile.. NOT seriously she's a terrible teacher. Stay away if you can
this lady has definitely lost her marbles people
she's ok. A lot of reading. lectures can get boring but are sometimes interesting and funny. tests are curved and gives you more questions than you need to answer, though test can be slightly hard. lectures fast, so notes can have holes. attendance = extra credit & notes not in book.
Horrifying tests, Talks about getting off too waist high boots. Simply the worst teacher in existence.
aww i loved dr. giza. shes a sweet and caring woman. i had her for social psyh, liked her so muh that i took her for biopsych and im taking her again next semester, great woman
She is nuts, stay away. tests ar long and impossible to study for
Dr.G is the sweetest lady, i'd hang out with her. Very personable and very brilliant. and she bought our class pizza. However, she is super scatter-brained & disorganized. be ready to do tons of work and put in extra hours (like on the weekends!!!). material is hard, but what do you expect, its nueroanatomy!!!
A fun teacher and really nice about extra credit and curving tests, but 1/2 the stuff on the tests she never taught and might be mentioned in 1 sentence of the book. Also 75% is focused on Bio Psych and she assumes every one already knows the 300 random Terms of Jargon...Average test study time: 12 Hours...
Good teacher. She will do anything to help you out grade wise. Tests are hard, but read the book and go to class and you should be fine!
She is a great teacher! She loves her job and will do anything to help her students. Def. take her if you ever have the chance
After taking PSY100 in the fall and getting a D with another prof, "The GZA's" class is a godsend. Tests are difficult but manageable, I mean I'm a High C/Mid B student and I have an A. Think about it. TAKE A CLASS WITH THE GZA IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE!!
Her class is easy, but pretty boring. I haven't opened the book yet. Shes very scatterbrained and unorganized. She jumps around alot she does take attendance i have a class with 150 people and she still takes it. She focuses mostly on biopsych. Easy but boring, but i wouldnt take her class again.
PLEASE TAKE THIS CLASS youll really regret it if you dont... easy if u study... her tests are awesome bc she gives you 60 questions but you only have to answer 50.. and theyre all mult choice the class is interesting and fun i loved it
She deffinetly tries to help as much as she can, and is free to help you in any way possible !! And she's hilarious !!
She is hilarious. Ready to help. Has some problems in expressing her thoughts very clearly, but the good thing is that what she teaches is very easy to understand. Tries hard to make class sound interesting, and it does sometimes get interesting. I recommend her!
She is very nice and gives you lots of chances for extra credit. I recommend going to the lecture it will really help you out on the exams. optional final. easy if you study from her study guides
I adore Dr. Giza. She is so funny and explains things really well. Going to class helps so much because she explains everything and gives you practice questions that appear on her tests. Optional final. The tests are 62 questions, but you only have to answer 50 and can drop the other 12. Multiple choice. Overall...she's funny and great!
Good Person. But meh teacher. She moves too fast, material is hard to cover. She may give you a study guide but you'll still have no clue what's on the test. You'll do yourself a favor attending class, extra points. Optional Final. Only take her if you're a Psych major.
i don't recommend her at alll!! there was 211 kids in the class so it was hard to ask questions and learn. all she talks about is her family and about her life, which would be okay if that was on the test.. but it's not. she was funny at some times but again.. the humor came from stories about her children. and don't even bother buying the book!!
Dr. Giza is a very intelligent woman who knows exactly what she's teaching. She has a strong passion for the subject so it makes learning enjoyable. She's a little spaced out when it comes to timeliness and deadlines but it makes the class easy. Finals are optional and she gives plenty of extra credit oppurtunities. I suggest her!
Dr. Giza's neat. Her class is interesting, and if you pay attention even a little bit, you don't need to ever open the book. Don't even buy it. She takes attendance every so often. Never know when. Tests are easy; she usually has you drop 10-15 questions of your choice. She never answers emails, even though she says she does. Call or text instead.
Azorlosa or Giza?...GIZA! This class/textbook is tough material. However, w/ Giza it's easy only bc the exams were TAKE HOME! I never read prior to the exams, therefore when doing the test it takes time/diligence by searching the bk for answers! Extra credit is always available. She is very nice. Yes she is scatterbrained but hey it works for her!
really nice. the material is not bad, and she gives you a study guide. DO THE STUDY GUIDE. easy A if you study. lots of extra credit opportunities, and she lets you drop 12 questions of your choice on every test. Very fair. She takes attendance with clicker questions, but its not really a big deal. take her, she's pretty good.
STUDY! Thats all i have to say. 200+ kids in the class u don't really need to go but she does have questions that may relate to the tests during class. The main thing you need to know is READ and STUDY. These people who say its easy must be the ones who read everything that is asked of them, Im not one of them. If you try hard though youll be fine.
FUN CLASS. extremely helpful and funny prof. honestly, if u read the txtbook and go over her notes on blackboard, the tests are very fair. i always gota A or B [depending on if i studied or not] if u dont try u will fail. if u put the little effort by reading the txtbook, you'll easily pass. she givs u some test questions during class too. fun time
She is very Disorganized. Lectures moves to quickly and she touches on things for 5 mins, then tests on them. Your really have to read the book before she lectures & lectures are confusing and seem to be all over. Material is hard. Learned more about her family than the actual material. Acts like she is helpful and understanding but she really isn't
READ THE BOOK!!! you don't even have to go to class to get an A if you read the book. she is a really bad teacher herself, but the book is easy to understand. she's so unorganized, so follow the book study guides, not hers. it's the same information anyway.
for me, the class was an easy A as long as you try to go to class (it's not a huge deal if you miss a few but i recommend going ESPECIALLY the day before a test) and even if you never go to class YOU HAVE TO READ, or you will probably fail.. overall she is really nice but sometimes very disorganized but if you don't mind reading- i recommend this.
Giza is awesome. She is really leient on grading. Lets you skip the final if you took all the tests and are happy with your grade, and she is really wiling to work with you. Her tests get progressively harder, but as long as you pay attention in class and skim through the chapters the night before you are fine. She is the best for psy 100.
Tends to waste a lot of class time. At times she's too lenient and it feels like were never accomplishing anything because she's constantly pushing back deadlines. VERY nice, likable woman but her class requires minimal effort. If that's what you're into, then take her. If you want to be challenged, take someone else. I didn't learn much.
She is terrible, walks around class while lecturing, but in a room of 100+ students you cant "get it" when a teacher lectures from behind. 1 time she was throwing up in front of class.
Favorite teacher of all time, great professor and a wonderful human being.
Basically, there is a REDICULOUS amount of studying involved with Giza, and most of the time you have no idea what's going on in class. She's an awesome person, but the class is eh, not taught well.
What a great teacher for Intro to Psych! She is AWESOME! This teacher gives: study guides before tests, gives 65 questions on test but you only have to answer 50, she givens sample questions in class that are literally on the test, tons of extra credit opportunities! If you do not do well in her class, it is your fault.....she is very, very fair!
Very nice lady. Class isn't that hard and she's very reasonable.
Attendance is not mandatory but I recommend you go to class because she gives questions during class that could show up on the exam. You have to read a lot to stay on top of this class. Her tests are 65 questions & you can eliminate 50...the study guide she provides tells you everything that you need to study & if you study a lot you will be fine!
Attendance is not mandatory but I recommend you go to class because she gives questions during class that could show up on the exam. You have to read a lot to stay on top of this class. Her tests are 65 questions & you can eliminate 15...the study guide she provides tells you everything that you need to study & if you study a lot you will be fine!
Her tests aren't too bad if you study and you read the book and go to class. The only thing that I dislike about the class is that sometimes when you ask her a simple question, she can not provide you with a straight answer.
Class got pretty boring by the end of the semester. Would recommend going to class because it helps a lot for the tests. She generally never starts class on time, so don't worry about being on time. Tests are multiple choice, gives extra credit opportunities for psych journals
Giza is a very intelligent and friendly woman, but not a good teacher. She is late to class every day and spends a lot of time lecturing about information that is irrelevant. If you're looking for an easy A, take her, but if you actually want to learn something, I recommend someone else because this class was a joke!
Dr. Giza is an incredible woman. I learned so much from her in this class. The class itself is pretty easy, but if you truly want to absorb the information and get an A+...you're gonna work your balls off. My class really came together through study groups and facebook and Giza loved it. I'd take it over and over again with the same people.
First, Dr. Giza will NOT let you fail as long as you show some effort. She gives unexpected extra credit often. That being said, assignments were a bit confusing and lectures were all over the place. I love the woman, but I think she is being spread too thin. She spent too much time worrying about PSY100 x.c.and our class missed out a bit bc of it.
Awesome Professor! In order to get an A you must: do all of the reading and extra credit. Also: you get a clicker to use to answer some M.C questions in class. WRITE THEM DOWN! she will put the exact questions on the exam word for word so you will automatically get at least 10-15 right. She is a bit spacey and will go off on tangents but great prof
Giza was easy overall. She let our class make as many note cards as we wanted for exams and we only had to answer 50 out of 65. Go to class, get the book and use it to study. COPY CLICKER QUESTIONS! They will be on exams.
Very nice, decently interesting, and she you helps out a lot on tests. For some classes she lets you have note cards and eliminate any 15 questions you choose. She also gives an extensive study guide before each test.
This class was so interesting and she always seemed to make it funny. The tests are kind of hard if you've never taken psychology before, but just look at the back tests! She lets you take note cards to every exam and there is tons of extra credit-- super easy.
Entertaining, helpful, and nice. You can use notecards on tests, attendance is extra credit, and there is no hw. There's tons of extra credit opportunities, and the clickers are annoying to buy but they are really helpful, and that's how she takes attendance.
Great Teacher! Very nice and understanding. Gives many personal stories but they are interesting. Tests are easy, can use note cards on tests and has more questions on test than need to be answered. Attendance is flexible..you get many skips and she doesn't take attendance every class.
Attendance is not mandatory. Communicates a lot through e-mail. Posts study guides for all exams online and note cards are allowed during exams. I didn't really go to class because her personal stories and connections were very vague. I used the textbook and got away with a decent B. Exams are all multiple choice and 50 questions.
She is a good teacher and explains things very clearly but she is a nutcase. She always seems lost and confused with her technology. She never responded to any of my emails and her office hours are unreasonable.
She's fair. Her tests are pretty hard but you can bring in notecards and she gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. The clicker is necessary for attendance and questions (that appear on tests) but you can buy an app for a smartphone as well.
Dr. Giza begins the year with the "I'm your friend" approach and she attempts to keep it for the whole semester. She does rush through the powerpoints sometimes. She is helpful at times, but her busy schedule does complicate things, but she tries. Just go to class and pay attention and your golden for the semester.
If you are weak in the area of mathematics she is probably not the best choice for taking Statistics of Behavioral Science (PSY 245). Extremely unorganized, this can and has caused mass confusion among students at times. Very lenient, this also has caused issues on occasion. While attendance isn't mandatory I would highly advise going to class.
One of the worst professors I've ever had. She rambles on about her family during class and her tests have very little to do with the power point slides she shows in class. If you can get another professor.
Very nice teacher but extremely hard class. The tests are almost impossible to pass and you're even allowed to use as many notecards with whatever info you want on the tests and still everybody fails. Her study guides are crazy long and even if you understand whats on them you won't pass because her tests are all application. Extra credit offered.
She is the most understanding teacher I've ever had. If you do your work you will succeed. Best professor ever. If you don't like her, there's something seriously wrong with you. I'd recommend her to anyone and everyone. Very lenient and does whatever she can to help you. Great sense of humor also!
i loved her class & she really cares about her students. if it weren't for her class id be lost in what i want to spend my life doing. not only is she a great professor she's an amazing person all around. you can go talk to her about anything. she is always understanding. if you put in the work, she'll definitely be more than willing to help you
Very hard class, she doesn't stay on topic so you never know what to write down in notes, and she's not friendly during office hours, try to avoid this class if possible!!!!
One of those professors that rambles. From the start no one takes the class seriously because you're allowed to use notecards for every test. The class is hard for those who actually read the textbook and don't use backtests. The only reason most kids show up is to answer the clicker questions and get attendance points. Other than that it's boring.
Giza is a passionate professor who cares about her students. Easy slides, easy to understand. Her tests are hard if you don't take the time to make the notecards. She also takes 4 out of 5 best test grades, and they're many extra credit opportunities. Overall, her class was funny and fair. BEST PSYCH PROF.
I really despised her. She is always behind and she never teaches the material that is on the study guide. Never stops talking about herself and she is very disorganized.
So boring. I know more about her life than I do about psych.
Annoying. Her class is literally so frustrating because she will just talk about nonsense for most of the class and none of her notes make any sense. I had to memorize the book in order to pass, she doesn't help at all. If you can find another professor and or take it somewhere else, i recommend it.
Dr. Giza know a lot about psychology so sometimes it is a little hard to fully grasp what she is saying. You can use notecards on the tests but sometimes note cards arent enough. Attendance is taken but it is extra credit. There is additional extra credit available. I would recommend her class but you still need to read the material to do well.
I hate to be this guy and I never do these reviews but I'm here to tell you if you are taking this as a GPA booster, don't. She is very unorganized and the class is very hard for a 100 level course if you have no history with psychology. She is nice and offers you countless ways to do well in the class, but I found myself and others struggling.
Dr. Giza isn't the worst, but I did not enjoy her class. The only good thing is she lets you use notecards on every exam, and the final is optional. The class is boring, but she gives you a lot of chances to boost your grades. Showing up to class will get you extra credit for attendance. Not the best professor, but not the worst.
When I tell you she is literally the WORST professor you will ever get, I mean that with every bone in my body. She tries this "on your side" approach in the beginning, makes 3 full page study guides (concepts all separated by commas) and fails to go over them in the lecture, she complains of having many students &wont help you. Shes HORRIBLE
She did her best to help her multiple classes of 150+ students, but she got off topic often and was boring. You should read the textbook to do well (even though it's optional). You get to take notecards into the test, which is how I did well. Avoid if you can, but it's not the end of the world if you get her.
She starts off the year trying to be on your side, but its fake. She teaches off of power points that go all over the place. She goes off topic all the time. She's always behind the syllabus, and when it comes to finals time don't expect her to help or respond kindly to emails. The only way to pass is to rely on your textbook and not her. Avoid her
Made an impression on the first day of class which made it seem that this would be an easy class but it was very difficult! 4 exams and a final and some online homework. So unorganized with the material she covers. Read the textbook for help. Do not take if this material doesn't come easy to you!!
She preached a LOT to get you on her side. The online homeworks were easy to BS. You can bring notecards to the tests which was SO helpful. I decided to not show up 75% of the time; and she mixes lectures, and videos/experiements, and text on the the tests - makes them a bit challenging. I still passed though. Not a GPA booster kind of class.
Dr. Giza is really on the student's side. She does a lot to attempt to make the class easier. You can use notecards on the tests, which helps a ton. You have 4 exams, plus the final, making 5 total exams, you only have to take 4 if you want cause she takes the 4 best grades. Go to class, she uses clicker questions for attendance and doubles points
I didn't really pay attention in class because she confused me alot. She really does want you to do your best though and even lets you bring note cards to the exams! Homework is easy and actually really helpful and her powerpoints are online which also helps learn the material. Overall an ok class. NOT easy, but not too hard.
Worst professor ever. She isn't clear about anything, is untimely with posting grades, study guides, etc., and is not helpful at all. Her slides don't make sense, and all she does is ramble about stupid stuff in class that has nothing to do with what we're supposed to be talking about. Hated her.
I learned absolutely nothing in this class. Giza is simply a terrible teacher. And even though she gives out a lot of extra credit, (because she knows nobody understands what she is trying to teach) everyone still fails the class. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.
I feel bad giving her a bad grade but she doesn't really teach anything during her lectures, everything I learn is from the power points. She will give randomweird examples of things during class but i never have enough time to understand them...
She's a caring teacher. She gives weekly homework on an annoying website that I ALWAYS forget to do. Her lectures are interesting for the most part and you get extra credit for going to class. She likes to put random information that she only spoke about in class on her exams. Most importantly, SHE ALLOWS NOTECARDS ON TESTS!
Professor Giza definitely wasn't my favorite. Her class bored me. If I had the chance I would take another professor for PSY 100. Only good thing about the class is you can use as many notecards on tests as you want.
On the first day of class, Giza tries so hard to give off the "cool teacher" vibe. It's all fake. I know plenty who failed her class, including those who took AP psych in high school. She doesn't post study guides until the night before the tests. Online homework doesn't correlate with test material. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.
Dr. Giza's class is not hard, but not easy. Lectures can be boring most of the time, but sometimes, they can be interesting. She also has some good stories. Homework is online and kind of annoying. Tests are pretty hard. You must read to pass. Also allows notecards on the test so if you study and make a decent notecard, you'll pass no problem.
Do not take this professor unless you absolutely have to. She doesn't teach anything during class and everyone laughs at her when she talks because she never makes sense. She's also extremely rude when you go to her during office hours for helpTESTS ARE IMPOSSIBLE EVEN WITH NOTECARDS
Giza is smart but can't teach. She goes off telling personal stories and then gets lectures side tract. Theres an online textbook so get 100s on your HWs and you'll pass. Her tests are hard but you can make notecards so you don't have to study for the tests as much. Attendance not mandatory thank god, I skipped so many times bc she hardly teaches
Giza is a great professor; she is very knowledgeable and gives you an ample amount of opportunities to pull up your grade. As long as you read the book and do the homework you'll get an A. Must read the book to pass.
Not the hardest class, but Giza tends to leave you confused when presenting material in class. Online homeworks aren't too bad and give you some extra points towards your final grade, which DEFINITELY will help. Tests can be quite difficult too even though you're allowed to have notecards. Not an easy gen ed class with Giza teaching.
She's nuts but not the worst teacher. You can use as many note cards as you want on tests, but I've made hundreds of them and the one thing I wouldn't write down would be on the test and have about 10 questions. She is not very clear and all over the place in class. Keep up with the homework and reading because I didn't and it hurt my grade.
Seems very unorganized, and just throws information at you and expects you to swallow it hole. Low key tough tests. The third test was really easy. Allows notecards to be used on the tests and if you're not an idiot you'll take advantage of that. Her pearson assignments are horrible too
She's really bad a getting back to you when you email her.
I enjoyed her class, I never had trouble paying attention to what she said. Online homework is annoying but it still counts. She'll go over your test and answer any question during her office hours. Clicker questions aren't very hard and sometimes they appear on the test. I would definitely take a class taught by her again.
Extremely confusing and all over the place in class. Her lectures are boring and don't match up with any of the homeworkreading assignments. Allowed to have unlimited notecards during exams but they're still impossible to pass. I wouldn't recommend taking her class.
would not take this teacher for psy 100. such a hard class for a GENED. tests are so hard. lectures are interesting but she goes off a lot. homework online but its easy. there are easier psy professors out there. the tests are mainly your final grade. if your doing bad make sure you do the extra credit.
Class is pretty optional, but she takes attendance with clickers. The online homework is easy and the textbook and homework are practically the test. Never paid attention in class and still did fine. She gets boring really easily.
The material in class and material in the textbooks are totally different, so it's like taking two classes. She rambles about things that are totally irrelevant to the subject matter, and acts as if she does a fantastic job as a teacher. Makes no effort to help.
Had Dr. Giza this semester. Although I am doing very well in her class, I honestly hate the way this class is structured. First day of class she came across as the "chill" professor. She is completely unorganized and does not follow the syllabus. You HAVE to read the textbook. I outline each chapter and that's only what's helped me.
I am near the end of my class with Giza this semester. Honestly the class is quite easy and should be an easy A given that she gives a load of extra credit, note cards on tests and study guides. In terms of gaining knowledge for the sake of learning she is disorganized and if you are a premed, your screwed for the MCAT if this is all you do.
Dr. Giza is a nice enough person. However, her lectures are extremely off topic. It is frustrating to go to class because we get so far behind on the material but the online hw modules are so far ahead so it's confusing. Attendance isn't mandatory but is extra credit and on her tests you have 55 questions and only answer 40 and can bring notecards.
Boring and not very clear with material but offers tons of extra credit. If you have the opportunity take a different teacher.
Her tests are hard, yes, and her lectures can get very off-topic, but she really does want you to succeed and (at least in the higher level courses) she is willing to work with students to make the syllabus work best for them. She can ramble but she's interesting and she knows her stuff. I really like her even though I'm not exactly getting an A+.
Her tests are hard. Her lectures don't benefit you in anyway because she gets off topic. Attendance doesn't matter, and as long as you read the the textbook and make good note cards for the test (you can use them during it), you should be fine. She wants you to succeed, and will give you extra credit if needed. She truly cares about her students.
Would not recommend the professor as for gen ed credit. Makes the class a lot more complicated than it has to be. First test is easy, enjoy it, won't happen again. As the semester went on, it seems like the more I studied the worse I did.
Tough grader, lectures are kind of pointless. labs are tough she doesn't really go over the material with you. She means well but she's tough. doesn't get back to you by email.
Dr. Giza is awesome. She's very nice as long as you care about the class and respect her. The tests come from the lectures and slides, not the textbook. Do the homework each week (you can redo them until you get 100s if you want to), make notecards, and take advantage of the extra credit opportunities, they're easy.
Giza is very nice but would constantly get off topic. Lets you use flash cards on the exams but the way she sets them up is weird and makes it difficult to finish in the 50 minutes we have.
super knowledgeable, kinda funny
I freaking love Dr. Giza. I don't know how she is for psy100 but for stat she is a fantastic teacher. I usually suck at math and will probably be getting a high A. Her #1 priority is that the students actually learn and fully understand the material which is unlike any prof I have ever had. She genuinely cares about us and lecture is entertaining
She knows exactly what she is talking about, but you need to put effort into taking this class. Tests can be difficult, but she allows note cards which is sweet. She does give extra credit opportunities. Allows 3 out of 4 tests to be considered for grade take all 4 and she drops the lowest.
Easiest class Ive taken. Keep up on homeworks (she will forget to mention them but theyre online) exams can be tough but you only answer 40 out of 55 questions and can use notecards. Her study guides are clear. Write down the clicker questions from class because they are on the exams. Drops the lowest grade which can mean no final if you do well
