Blair is one of my favorite professors to date. He makes class fun, and is VERY in to what he teaches. Go to class everyday, take notes, and give him a little guff and you'll do great. I absolutely recommend this course.
Prof. E is one of the best professors I had here at Ferris. He's an amazing individual in and out of the classroom, and he's willing to do anything to help you get a good grade. WISMS RULE!
E is awesome! He helps you whenever you need it and is so welcoming. He's truly a great teacher! However, don't buy the book for this class... All tests are essay form and all answers can be found in his lecture notes. Remember... "Everything is negotiable." He will negotiate just about anything - tests, quizzes, MKTG plans.
Great teacher! Very helpful and understandingt
awesome guy and a great teacher. very easy going and understanding. i would take him again. FOR SURE take any of his classes!
Prof E is the best professor I have had at Ferris. He is very passionate about what he teaches and you can tell he really cares about his students. Just go to class and take notes and you'll do just fine in his classes! I <3 Prof. E!
Prof. E is one of the more passionate professors I've had at Ferris. He's willing to do anything to help his students understand the material. It's not easy stuff to learn, but with him.. he makes it fun. WISMs and extra credit give you an incentive to do your best. I would take Prof. E again in a heartbeat. I hope he's here next semester!
Very understanding and passionate about what he does. He gives all of the power point slides through email so that you can take notes on them while he goes over it in class. He makes it extremely easy to study for tests by giving you possible test questions and the group project that I did really helped me understand the course material even more.
Great professor, even better person. Only down side are his challenging tests, but everything is negotiable. Highly recommend and would take his classes anytime.
Extremely conceited. He will constantly let you know how awesome he is. Class is fairly easy, though. Also, he says "m'kay" after every sentence without even realizing it. Once counted 150+ times in a 40 minute lecture.
He is an extremely helpful professor and he takes pride in the students actually knowing the material. WISMs are key to his class and he gives a lot of real world examples (of course about himself) but he is very knowledgeable and love what he does! I highly recommend him.
Great professor. He really cares about his students and is easy going as long as you're honest.
One of my favorite professors, he really cares about his students. He is extremely helpful if you go to his office hours and is very easy to talk to. His tests are all essay, no multiple choice but it is possible to get extra credit on tests/quizzes. The group project is a little tough, but he's very helpful if you ask. I highly recommend him.
He is one of the best professors at Ferris and really cares about his students. Whenever you need help with anything at all, you can go to him. I hope Ferris keeps him around for a long time.
This professor is professional and has real life experience to refer back to. He was extremely helpful and passionate about his work and the success of the the students that demonstrated a desire to succeed. Any class he offered in the future I would enjoy taking! Thanks for hiring such a qualified educator that is not an elitist. Simply the BEST!!
My favorite professor thus far. Really knows what he's talking about having had real life experience. Learned a lot from him about life. Class was very interesting. Would take him again in a heartbeat. Very fair - allows you to redo work which I think really helped me learn. Thanks Professor Entenmann for a great class.
Blaire is the man! I love Marketing even more after taking this class. Lectures are interesting and he works with you. Just remember EVERYTHING is negotiable!!!
Blair was extremely helpful and understanding about everything throughout the course. The marketing project is a good chunk of work, and it really is down to you and your team. Blair is extremely helpful, and makes you learn to ask for help, and to think outside the box. A great course. I've learned more in this course than most others.
My favorite Prof. Helpful, always there to help, give more than one opportunity to fix the Exams and learn more. absolutely recommend him
Great teacher! In my opinion, the tests were hard, but he gives you an opportunity to make up your tests and weekly quizzes. Excellent teacher and very understanding!
Really easy class. He made marketing easy to understand. It's really hard to fail his class and he gives you so many opportunities to improve your grade. Has a quiz almost every week, but easy enough where you can cram 20 minutes before. Really cool guy.
Professor Entenmann was very clear on all requirements of tests and buzzwords quizzes and the book was helpful as well. However, when it came to the final mktg plan presentation, he was not as clear about requirements and there was gave very vague or confusing advice. Overall the class was fun and interesting and entenmann was always up for helping
The best professor I've had. He's very clear about what he expects. The tests are essay exams, but they are easy if you really focus on the material. He's very lenient about attendance, even though he says it's mandatory. If you have a chance to take him, do it or you're missing out.
Blair is a great professor. He treats you like his business employees rather than regular students. He posts his powerpoint lectures online but make sure to come to class to hear the extra things he says like examples and WISMS- which will help you out on tests. He gives you the questions on tests ahead of time. If you ask for help he will help you
Blair is a character to say the least. If you want to have possibly the most knowledgeable and experienced professor in the business department take this class! The projects are long and time consuming but overall I feel like I gained something out of it. Much more than I can say for the rest of Ferris lately.
This professor is awesome and easy "sometimes" but the explanations he uses are so clear and understandable, he loves his job and he enjoys teaching that's a big reason for me to love his class and I will try to take another class with him
Blair is a professional who will go out of his way to help you. He genuinely cares for his students and will do anything to help them stay focused. He makes the class HANDS ON and there are only 3 lectures. The way the class is structured it feels more like a dream job than a required class. Great class, better professor
Great Prof, treats you like an employee, and will always find a way to help the students. Highly recommend.
Blair Entenmann is one of the best professors Ferris State University has to offer. He is very hands on and is willing to make time to help his students on an individual level. The only negative thing to note was that Blair was only on campus 3 days a week., however overcome this he was fantastic at responding to email and returning phone calls.
GREAT CLASS, GREAT PROF. I actually looked forward to his class because he was so fun and engaging. He gives easy tests and quizzes. Make sure you know exactly what he wants! Best prof I've ever had!
Blair is a great professor! His new products class, although only offered in the spring (unsure why?), was a great class for a marketing elective. I was able to really learn the process companies use when rolling out new products.
Gives extra credit for quizzes. But reads lecture slides. Has First hand experience in marketing.
Lectures are put up online so you have all the notes. The tests are essay questions but he gives extra credit and test reviews with all the answers. Every wednesday there is a vocab quiz which are fairly easy. One major group project. Good class, extremely helpful, really enjoyed him as a teacher. also- Attendance is "mandatory"
Prof. Entenmann is a great professor! He can be perfectly described as "tough but fair". He explains everything very clearly and makes class interesting. The group project is tough, have good time management skills and reliable group members. Tests are essays format. Very forgiving if you get into a tight spot--if you communicate with him!
Grade is based on mainly tests and the group project you do throughout the semester. Discussion questions almost every week, but they are easy. Gives answers to tests in review sessions, essay tests. Funny as hell, take this guy!
He's an excellent professor and I learned a lot from him. I always enjoyed his class and he's always willing to help you out. He's big on negotiation so if you get a bad grade on something he will always give you the opportunity to try again and do better. He's very fair and wants to see everyone succeed. I would definitely recommend him.
Mr. E is a great teacher. He not only requires participation from weekly discussion questions but also has a good sense of human and easy to get along with. He also offers a chance to redo test questions you did poorly enough on, because you'd get that chance in the real world. He is a great public speaker. The focus group project was exciting too
As long as you go to class and pay attention you will do fine in his class. The weekly discussion papers get old and the tests are pretty tough but he cares about his students and wants to see everyone do well. pretty funny too!
By far the best professor I've had in my time here at fairly straight university. He truly cares about the success of his students. Treats you like an employee, if you mess up you can fix it. Class was very entertaining. I highly recommend to anyone who has to take this class to take it with Blair.
Great class, better teacher. Recomened.
FANTASTIC professor!! Really cares about you and treats you like an employee more than a student. Really great guy. If I could take all my classes with him I would!
He's a great Prof treats you like an employee rather then student. would sit down and have a drink with this guy.
He is a very understanding teacher and gives second chances for all assignments and tests. He gives you the test questions before you take the test and test reviews, so you are extremely prepared! You also work in groups all semester so you have to really like group work.
Great professor, take him for this class.
He was an awesome teacher, gave many opportunities to retake tests to help you learn, and increase your grade. I would recommend him.
Was a good professor
Nice guy, but he loves to talk. Very long lectures. Worked on group project and had to present it, pretty time consuming. His tests are essay questions and he is a pretty hard grader. Im an A student and ended up with a B in the class.
You'd better like group projects. The entire semester you work through marketing plan in a group of 5 and present it as a 15 minute presentation on the last two days. All tests were four essay questions requiring about a page-long response to each. You can redo a question on one of the tests for a higher grade. Great teacher, knows his stuff.
Prof Entenmann is a great professor, I would recommend taking him for Marketing 321. He is clear in what he wants for exams and quizzes, and is very helpful on the huge project all semester long. He will do what ever he can to help you and give you chances to earn a higher grade. He is also very understanding. Everything is negotiable! :)
GOOD PROFESSOR. TESTS ARE 4 ESSAY QUESTIONS BUT TELLS YOU EXACTLY WHAT TO STUDY FOR EACH. LETS YOU CORRECT TEST QUESTIONS YOU DID BAD ON AND ALWAYS OFFERS A LOT OF EXTRA CREDIT. THE GROUP PROJECT IS A LOT OF WORK, CHOOSE YOUR TEAM WISELY. THE CLASS IS A GOOD AMOUNT OF WORK BUT YOU LEARN A LOT. ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP, WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM
One of the best professors at Ferris. I liked him so much I ended up taking my next class whit him intentionally. Grade attendance policy. Good with assistance on assignments when you need help. Has experience in the field and is understanding. Take class with him!!
Entenmenn is a pain when it comes to assignments. There are 25 point quizes each week. Also tests are 4 questions worth 25 points each and you have to be REALLY REALLY specific. Group work (called phases) is also super specific and is due every 3 weeks. Yes he does offer "WISMS" as extra credit for one point each and a max of 8 per test and quiz.
Absolutely love Blair! He's definitely my favorite professor at Ferris. His tagline is "I'm tough but fair". I had a really bad group for the team project and he worked with me a lot to get it together and I ended up doing really well in the class. He gives a lot of extra credit and gives essay exams but they're not as bad as you might think.
Professor E. is a FANTASTIC professor, I've had multiple Marketing classes in the past. His class will greatly reduce anxiety with speaking in front of others and he will dedicate any time to help others. Take him for any class you get the chance to.
My favorite professor I have ever had. Treats students with respect and knows that you have stuff going on. There are a few big papers but he lets you redo them. So redo them! He has a few test, but gives you notes. Seriously if you take his class seriously he works with you, all you have to do is be a dedicated student to get an A.
Easy tests and I learned a lot from him about professional selling and life.
It took me a while to really understand Blair. He's one of the most unique people I've come across... harsh politics, knows everything about everything, and a cringe-worthy sense of humor. Yet, he is one of Ferris' finest professors. Very helpful, willing to negotiate, and structures his class like the real world. I'll never forget him.
Blair is one of the fairest professors I've had at Ferris. His tests are essay tests, but he gives you all the tools you need to get an A, you also have a chance to redo tests you're not happy with. I learned a lot in this class and I'm very happy I took it. I recommend taking this class with him, there's no excuse to not get an A.
The group project was kind of confusing sometimes. However, he dedicates a lot of time to individual group meetings to clarify things for you. It is obvious he wants everyone to succeed in his class. He's realistic and fair.
He makes you work for your grade, but he is definitely willing to work with you. Overall great guy, keeps things interesting and is honestly one of the better professors I've had while at Ferris.
Blair is such a great professor-by far one of the best at Ferris. You have to put in work for a good grade but honestly he is nice, funny, and always willing to go out of his way so you can get a good grade. He has extra credit on quizzes and exams which helped a lot. Don't fall behind on the group project. He lets you redo exams and the project.
Funny little man. Great attitude, fun class, lots of participating. Well respected! Tests are a piece of cake. Good friend and probably good future connection too if he likes you. He is a very animated person, would definitely take again!!
This professor also teaches MKTG 231 and I had him for that class as well. The structure of his class is well put together and he is an excellent professor. There is always an effort that he is giving to help his students get a better grade. I would take any of his offered classes again.
Tests are very specific, wants the information directly from his notes. If you want to be good at marketing take him.
Gives opportunities to fix exam questions (exams are all essay) and makes himself available to help you in any way possible. The group project is tough, but interesting and he helps you a lot along the way. Great guy, great teacher, good class.
He is by far one of my favorite professors. He is understanding, gives you a lot of help on whatever you need, and he lends a hand at any time. I want to have as much experience as him when I go into my career path. He gives personal experience which helps with my career path as a marketer
Lots of experience in the field. He has stories he will interject into his lectures & the class period fly by with presentations that are well timed and productive. The book is necessary for weekly 3 question assignments, all his powerpoints cover the 4-6 question essay tests. "Don't Worry, Be Happy, We Can Fix It."- WISM for extra credit.
Very good guy. Helps you out in any way you need. Always open to talk and he'll you out. If you do what you need to do he will help. Gives you a sheet of questions before the test and 5 of those will be the test. Would recommend him as a professor.
Blair is a great professor! I bought the text book, but never opened it throughout the semester because all of his lectures slides are on blackboard. You have to do role play of actual selling situation, which is very nerve racking, but definitely gets easier as you go. He is very helpful with the final presentation as well, gives lots of feedback.
Blair is an incredible teacher. He is funny, and it is very obvious that he cares about what his students take away from the class. His tests are extremely easy (if you put in effort), but be prepared to do roleplaying, and write lengthy papers. But keep in mind if you're struggling he will be more than happy to help, and give good feedback!
Professor Entenmann is an awesome professor! He provided many opportunities for extra credit and was very accommodating to people who had to miss class. The papers are long, but you can re-do them for a better grade. Good and interesting class
This professor was honestly the best I have ever had. He truly cares about your grade in his class, and he does everything he can to help you do better. He lets you retake tests/quizzes, and he offers extra credit on all of them. I've never had a professor be more helpful than him. I wish he taught more classes for my major! I HIGHLY recommend him!
"Tough but fair" is what he will say and it's true. He will grade you tougher than anyone, but he gives great feedback and encourages you to fix it. Great professor though.
"Tough but fair" is what he will describe himself as and it's true. He will grade you pretty harshly, but gives you tremendous feedback and allows you to redo if you really screwed up. Good guy.
He was a great proffesor! I learned a lot if useful real world things in his class and he gave you chances when you messed up which we all appreciate!
Awesome teacher, just wants you to learn and do well in the class. He is willing to work with you to improve grades that you weren't satisfied with.
One of the best professors there is. He is all for the students and really cares about you succeeding in not only the class but life in general. He is a must take!
One of the better Profs I have had. Already signed up for another class with him.
If you have to take MKTG 231 I recommend taking it with Blair. By far the best professor I have ever had. Exams are essay style but he gives you a list of questions a week before. Also he give you the opportunity do re-do test questions if you fail them. No final but a presentation that is fairly easy if you go to him for help.
I had Blair for both 231&321 at the same time. The 321 class is much harder grading wise but is to be expected. Essay tests aren't easy and he grades them fairly tough but he gives you the questions a week before to study. He also gives you the chance to redo questions you failed which is a lifesaver. By fair the best professor I've ever had.
Blair has been the best professor I have had. He was able to keep my attention, relate things to real life, and make talking in front of the class seem easy. He gave second chances on the essay tests, gave the questions a week before so you knew what to study, and was interactive with us in class. I'm excited to take another class with him!
Blair is a great professor! He let's you know what will be on the tests and what he expects you to write for your final sales presentation! Make sure to write down the WISM's as those will be helpful on the tests for extra credit!
I am an international student, and I think he is one of my best professors ever. He gives many extra credits opportunities, allows you to fix your exams in case you did badly. Group projects are a bit hard but he is very helpful (he even helped me with another course that wasnt taught by him)
Great all around professor. Treats his "students " like employees and gives everyone a second chance. Gives you a re- do on tests and papers. Gives you great feed back on old tests so you know what you need to fix! Will work with you to get a better grade. Funny and treats everyone fair. Would recommend
Overall great professor who loves what he does. Takes considerable interest in his students lives and wants them to succeed in the marketing world. Cheers to Blair!
His lectures are very clear. He is willing to help in any time. He gives many opportunities to make you learn in easy way.
His lectures are basically what's on the exams. (If you go to the review sessions, that helps a bunch). He is ALWAYS willing to help whenever you need it. Buzz word quizzes definitely help your grade. Sometimes, the material is hard, but he is very very fair. "Everything is negotiable". Overall, I enjoyed Prof. Entenmann!
This professor knows what he is talking about. Unlike a lot of professors, his material is hands on, and he shares his work experience to help students better understand the material. Tests come in the form of essays, but it is nothing to be afraid of you study. I went as far as switching to marketing because of Blair!
He gets on a lot of tangents and takes some getting use to, but overall a very good teacher. He knows his stuff and has a lot of experience in mktg. He's pretty picky on tests and projects but he gives you all the tools to succeed in his class, as well as multiple opportunities to correct your work and turn it back in.
Definitely a course that you have to stay on top of.
He is a really interesting teacher. One of the smartest guys for his field i know. Treats you like an employee and lets you fix your test and project grades. Best option for marketing 321 by far. TAKE BLAIR. EVERYTHING IS NEGOTIABLE!
Blair is a phenomenal professor who is there for you! He treats you as if you were an employee of his and with respect. He understands if you have to miss class because life happens, just notify and have valid reason. I personally didn't like missing his class because the work you do is real world experience. Look out for the infamous WISMS! :D
Good guy, essay tests and group projects. Have fun!
Very good guy, He wants his students to succeed. He gives plenty of opportunities to do well in his class.
Blair is the man! He sets aside the BULL and just shows off the D-A-W-G! Yes, a lot of work... BUT I GOT SOOO MUCH OUT OF IT! Blair will let you redo any test! If you ask him to show up early to meet with him... he will! If you ask him to stay late for because that's all that will work in your schedule he will! #BlairCares This guy knows his stuff!
Blair is a stand-up guy. Take his product development class.
If you have the chance to take one of Blair's classes, then do it. Very friendly and wants you to get the A. He gives you every opportunity to succeed and will have a good laugh with you any day. If you have to miss class for any reason just let him know. Even if you are missing class for a bogus reason just tell him and he will let it slide.
Professor Entenmann is one of the best teachers be had thus far. He's funny, but he's tough. He doesn't believe in handouts but he does believe in second chances. Also practice your writing because his essay tests can be brutal With hand craps. And in the end don't worry because everything is negotiable. Don't worry, be happy, you can fix it.
There are weekly cases at only 5 points per case, but there's a lot so it's still worth doing. Only two tests of which each is 10% of your overall grade for 20% total. Only two lectures! Great teacher who treats you like a friend not just a student number.
I loved this class. The group project lasts all semester so be sure to get a good team. Blair will do a lot to help your team. The best part about him is that he will grade your projects or tests and gives you a chance to improve them. Also there were only two tests and one was take home and the other was open note/open book.
"Tough but fair" one of the best Ferris State University College of Business Professors. Took him for two classes(MKTG 231 and MKTG 321), and did well and understood the topics covered in both. All the tests are Essays but you get the questions before hand making it easier to study and prepare for. Would definitely take again.
Blair is there for YOU! Will do anything in his power to help you pass!! Class was lecture based with a group project that took place throughout the whole semester. Essay tests that you are given the answers for and vocab "buzzword quizzes" once a week. Can revise tests and projects. Builds a relationship with students and truly cares! TAKE HIM!!!
the most laid back prof I've ever had. Rarely do you use the book, gets you involved with classmates, and the project at the end is cake
Blair is one of the most inspirational, caring, driven, and most hilarious of professor's I've had in my three years at FSU. His tests are essay driven but you honestly don't realize it because he will give you a sheet of 9 test questions one week before the test. 4 or 5 of which will be on the test. I'd say take him & you won't really need thebook
Great class. The group project is a lot of work and worth a lot. Choose your group wisely. The book was also quite expensive. Other than that, Entenmann was wonderful and the most fair and helpful professor I have had thus far. He is no nonsense but he cares if you do. Plus, you get excused absences whenever you ask ahead of time.
One of the best professor's I've ever had! Super flexible with schedules and make up's. He gives you all of the necessary tools you need to get an A in any of his classes!
Overall gem of a teacher. His motto is "tough but fair" and that couldn't be more exact. He gives you every single opportunity you need to succeed in the class, any student should be able to attain an A.
straight up id say hes very old school but at the same time very understanding and helpful
despite being a tough grader he really knows what he's talking about, really down to earth and easy to get along with.
Blair was easily one of the best professors that I have taken at Ferris State. His standpoint as a professor could not be better. He treats you as an employee, if you mess up on a test or project he gives you the opportunity to re-do it! "Don't worry, be happy, we can fix it."
Awesome professor! I struggle occasionally in written projects/tests and he has always given me the confidence and opportunity to do better. Ferris State is lucky to have him! I would take any of his classes!
I had MKTG 321 class with him. He is a very nice professor. There are online homework to do every week but it is very easy. Buzzword quizzes are easy. His exams are not hard, you actually have to study for them. What I like most about this class is that he offers a lot of extra credit!
Love, Love, Love this professor. His tests are Essay test but gives you the questions ahead of time. He offers alot of extra credit opportunities and truly lives by everything is negotiable. Only down fall is group project but that is more of a personal dislike.
Being an IT major he made marketing a fun class. Four written exams gives test questions ahead of time and take advantage of his exam review sessions and office hours. Only downside of his class is the marketing project choose your group members wisely. I would take another of his marketing classes if I could.
One of the most entertaining and understandable professors that I have had.
His exams are in essay form so be prepared to write. Quiz ever week, but he gives you a list to study. There is one big group ,so choose wisely. He treats you like an employee. I Love this teacher honestly and he loves to teach.
Professor Entenmann is a great professor, very easy going and easy to get along with. work hard and I can guarantee he will notice your effort and reward you for it. He is very knowledgeable of the Marketing and Sales industries. Sometimes a little too knowledgeable because he likes to rant,.
I really love him. He does a great job of creating real life situations. He does assign a lot of papers but if you pick the right topic you won't have a problem. He is really understanding and has a nice sense of humor. I would most definitely take him again.
I really like him a lot, so much that I'm actually taking him again next semester. He is a hard grader but he gives great feedback and allows you to re do things so you can use the feedback that he gave you. He is a good professor and is very respected.
Professor Entenmann is an amazing prof. He is willing to answer any * all questions you may have. He has a ton of real world experience that he applies to several topics in this class. Although there are 4 papers you have to do through out the semester they are very helpful for your final. The tests are essay style but if you take notes your good!
Get the book. The class is mainly lecture and participation with role plays, the role plays are super easy and he gives great feedback. A few lengthy papers but you get a long time to do them. He is super nice and funny and treats all students like employees giving you a second chance for everything. Take advantage of it. I loved this class!
He treats you like an employee is if you don't like your grade on a paper or test then he lets you redo it. He is a great professor!
Professor Entenmann wants you to succeed. The first test was a little difficult but after learning the structure of his tests there extremely easy to study for. He gives you study guides for each test which is nice. There are some essays which are a little bit of a pain but he isn't that strict of a grader. He is highly knowledgable in sales.
I am glad he likes to treat his students like employees and allows them to fix any mistakes on previous test.
Has a great teaching style the class isnt just a breeze and requires you to do work but if you stay on top of things things you'll be A-okay! Also you can redo test questions if you score badly, and rewrite papers which is very nice!
Gives great feedback on the 4 papers and role-plays that are assigned. The tests are essays but gives study guides for each test and allows you to redo them. Gives you plenty of time to write the papers and prepare for the role-plays. A highly respected professor that I would take again if I had the chance.
Great professor! Super lenient with turning work in late and or extending time you have to turn something in. EVERYTHING IS NEGOTIABLE! Essay format tests but they aren't hard as long as you study.
Relatively easy class if you actually put the work in. Doesn't really give homework you just have to do 3 research papers (7-10 pages) and he gives essay tests so you actually have to spend some time studying.
Mr. Entannman is by far my favorite professor at Ferris. He cares about all of his students, and is very understanding and patient. I enjoyed his class so much that I decided to take him for a second semester. As long as you do the work you're fine. If you're confused about something just ask, he's more than happy to help!
He has so much experience selling so he can relate a story to almost everything he teaches making the lectures much more interesting. The exams are essay question but writing as much as you can and memorizing the potential questions makes it easy. Great teacher. Would recommend
Mr. Entenmann is super understanding, caring, and an overall fantastic professor. You have four tests that are all essay form. You may not finish it all but it's okay, he lets you revise the worst graded ones afterwards for full points. Weekly quizzes. Group project is super easy, he gives great feedback and is willing to meet you whenever.
Blair is a great professor, he is a tough grader, but lets you make up the points you missed and gives you several options to earn extra points. He offers test reviews for each of the 4 tests (including the final) & will tell you exactly what you need to get a good grade on the tests. You do a group Marketing Plan and he helps you out tremendously.
The tests are in an essay format, which makes the tests hard. But he does test reviews the week before and gives you the answers, so if you don't pass its because you didn't go. He lets you redo almost anything because as he says, "everything is negotiable." I'd take him again in a heartbeat
I really enjoyed his class. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about the topic. His exams are essay exams which are awful. But if you really study all weekend for them, you'll easily pass. The group project isn't that bad either. Just make sure to visit with him as much as you can and you'll get a good grade.
Blair is a fantastic professor, but he is a very tough grader, but lets you redo all the tests that you miss points on. Also, he gives you many different ways to receive extra points throughout his course. His class consists of four hand-written test with test reviews before the test on Friday's. The class also has a group project called a "Marke
Really good teacher, available if needed, follow-up with groups for project, shares his experience, a lot of examples to understand the topics Class easy to pass (a lot of opportunities for extra credit, make-up tests)
Tests are huge. Blair has a review session of every test. It is really helpful to go to those sessions. Overall Blair is awesome. Gives really good feedback and cares about his students.
Blair is an AWESOME professor. Very easy to relate with and treats you like an employee, not a student. He really cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed!
He is by far the best marketing professor i have ever had, he is fair to all aspects. Wants you to achieve your goal and always makes sure you understand everything and gives great feedback. Also he does grade a little tough but overall made me a better student. Highly recommend.
Pretty cool class. Lots of stories and examples, tests are hard but if you study and write out the questions before hand they aren't bad. The assignments are mostly LearnSmart so they aren't hard. Everything is negotiable so he's willing to work with you on certain things.
He's probably one of my favorite professors. His lectures are actually okay, the tests aren't too hard, and the Buzzword quizzes are an easy way to boost up the grade. He's probably one of the professors that cares if you pass the class or not. He lets you fix your mistakes from either previous tests if you do bad. Honestly, if you can, take it.
Class is Moderately easy if you pay attention to what Blair has to say. He gives you the exact answers for tests when he gives his lecture you just have to watch for it. always write down his WISMs given in class as well. Great extra credit when test taking.
He tells a lot of funny/relevant stories; I liked the actual lectures. However, the group project was a little ridiculous, and he grades it very harshly (but lets you re-do each phase once). He's just very picky and even if it's not specifically wrong, he'll mark you down if it's not exactly what he wants. Offers a lot of extra credit on tests.
Gives very hard essay tests that are super long, but he gives you the chance to retake any of them for full points back. He's very willing to help with anything that you need and is a very straightforward professor. He also gives you the test questions in advance. I would recommend.
Pay attention to the lectures in class and don't skip class. Show that you care about the class and take some notes for a change. Show up to his exam reviews if you want to get an A on the tests.
Great Professor, works with you and always gives chances for Extra Credit!
Blair is great professor who truly cares about the success of his students. He treats you like an employee and gives you opportunities to fix mistakes on assignments. Extra credit is offered on quizzes and tests. His lectures are interesting and involve funny stories and life lessons. I highly recommend him for any marketing related class.
Be prepared to do a lot of work for his course. He has online homework you MUST complete. The lectures are long, but useful for the vocab quizzes. There are 4 written tests you have to be prepared to take during the timeframe of your class. The project has 3 phases. Phase 3 is the worse because you only have a week to do it which is the hardest one
Great prof, tough on grading at times but gives you ample opportunity to prepare for the difficult tests/papers in the class
Tests are about 4 to 6 questions long essay response format and only had 4 all year (including final). Everything is negotiable, so if you dont like your grade talk to him about it and hell defentally help you out. Looks for best interest in students. 5/5 would recommend.
Not a tough teacher, very understandable and gets that sometimes life happens. Tests are a lot, but easy to study and be prepared for!
He provides a lot of outside the classroom time for help on tests or group projects. He did get irritated that some people did not use this time to get a better grade. He only gives essay tests which are easy to prepare for, and are easily passed when you study.
One of my favorite teachers of all time. He's always happy to be at work and he's willing to help anyone. Lots of group work but he lets you redo everything you turn in. His tests are essay tests but he does a review session and again, let's you redo them. He's funny and he makes it easy to pass his class.
Really good professor
Great professor, would recommend to anyone that needs to take marketing 321
One of the best professors I've ever had in general. He's tough but fair and always gives opportunities to ask for extra help. With all the resources/chances he gives no reason to fail, just study/do the work. Class isn't mandatory, but you SHOULD show up, especially if you want early hints at what test questions will be and for extra credit.
Hes a great professor who is very clear and concise on what he wants and expects from you. Homework is online, and he holds a review for the test so there isnt any surprises. All together you cant go wrong with him!
By far my favorite professor. He loves marketing and business. Always makes the class interesting. Frequently available outside of class. Helped me answer questions from another class. Showed me a new found love for marketing. I recommend him to every student to make sure they have him for every class that he teaches and they can get into.
He's right where he needs to be. Everyone loves him
Great class, but be prepared for essay tests.
Lecture heavy, so pay attention in class. Large group project, but gives you a chance to re-do sections. Be prepared for essay tests, but if you study you'll do fine. Great professor, easily accessible. He's very understanding and treats you like an adult. Don't slack off, it's a waste of a great class/professor.
Hes a great professor and actually cares about his students. I took him for Marketing 231 as well because of how interesting he makes the classroom.
Great professor. He understands that working in groups suck, but still makes you do it for experience. Gives you some extra credit for extra work of being a team leader.
Professor Entenmann is a great instructor and knows his stuff. He is dedicated to seeing his students succeed and is approachable outside of class. He holds exam review sessions and will help your group with the group project.
Great prof. Super helpful and wants to see you succeed.
This professor was absolutely awesome! He has great lectures and you truly learn something from his class. If you dont do the project right the first time, he will give it back to you and let you fix it! Hes a very tough grader and gou should always pay attention in class! He gives you the reviews for the tests with all the questions! Great guy!
Takes his job more seriously than most professors I've had and is as flexible as can be. Highly recommend!
This is the best marketing elective you can take at Ferris. Blair is a fun professor with years of experience in new product marketing. The content was applicable to a real scenario and the collaborative style of learning made the class fun and engaging. Plus, he'll negotiate due dates. You have to love that.
Blair is an amazing professor with plenty of years worth of real experience in marketing. There is not too much work to do and everything in his class can be negotiated. He really tries to bring out the entrepreneur in you and wants you to grasp what you are learning. Definitely a class worth taking if you are interested in new product projects.
He is a Tough but Fair grader. He treats you like employees, meaning if you bomb an assignment he allows redos for better grades and is usually much more lenient the second time if you give good effort. Has some extra credit opportunities, essay tests only (which arent too bad) no busy work. Overall one of my favorite professors at FSU.
Wonderful teacher. Puts a ton of effort into trying to get you the best grade you can get.
Professor Entenmann is one of the best teachers I have had. He wants everyone to succeed. There is a group project but he lets you redo the first 2 phases of it. Be ready for essay exams but if you go to the study session and study, you will do good. I recommend taking him for MKTG.
Very hard to fail this class. Attendance is necessary, however classes are interesting and short. He's a really great guy and is super flexible with makeup work.
He gives great lectures. He is a very down to earth and understands teacher! His essay test are easy, you have to go to the test review because they are very helpful! His lecture is super easy and very understandable!! I recommend this teacher for anybody who needs or wants to take MKGT 321. 10/11
Really good professor, really easy to talk to and makes the class enjoyable. One of the best professor here in Ferris.
He is always trying to make the class the best it can be. After taking him before, I knew I wanted to take a course with him again. Tests are hard, but can be made up pretty much whenever, and lectures are most of the course.
He wants his students to succeed. Four essay tests. You just have memorize your answers (He gives you the answers for the tests which very helpful). 3 Phase group marketing plan. There are quizzes every Friday and a learnsmart due every Wednesday. Lots of opportunity for extra credit. As much as I hated the tests, I would take him again.
Gives useful life information and provides students the opportunity to succeed if they take it
Entenman is a good professor, but his final project is very difficult. There is very little direction to do it and it makes up a good portion of your grade.
Great professor, really connects the coursework to real life. Has a ton of experience in the field. Pick the members for the group project carefully, it is worth 30% of the class, and is probably graded the strictest.
Blair is the best prof i have ever had!! Very helpful both in and outside of class. Do the learnsmarts, study for the buzzwords, go to the exam review sessions and you will get an easy A! Also make sure you get a good group for the marketing plan or you will be screwed.
Really good guy that cares about the subject he teaches. Gives out marketing projects that are fairly hard and come in three phases, make sure you have a good group for this one. There are four essay tests given throughout the years, go to his exam reviews he give you what you need to write for each question. Lots of extra credit opportunities
This class was easy, as long as you went to class! The tests are hard (all four questions are short answer), but he tells you the exact answers word for word if you go to his test review. The marketing project was terrible, but you get a chance to redo them, and Blair will tell you exactly what to do. There is lots of extra credit available as well
Professor Entenmann is quite the man. He's a little opinionated, but he's very good at marketing. He gives real-world examples relating to the material and his lectures are well practiced and easy to follow. His tests are difficult, but he makes sure you know what to study. Beware of the group work, but don't worry, be happy, he'll help you fix it.
Blair was a very humorous Professor with WISMs or words of wisdom that you can carry throughout your life. His real life experiences and vast knowledge of marketing keeps you in tune with the content along with his engaging personality. If you take this Professor remember, what happens in the classroom, stays in the classroom
He does give essay test, and he provides study sessions where he tells you what to memorize for the test. I found the study session very helpful. He also provides lots of opportunity to fix your mistakes and earn lots of points.
Awesome teacher. Worked ib the marketing field before teaching and REALLY knows. What he is talking about. His tests are essay form so get ready to write a lot.
Hes a very cool dude. Test kind of suck, short answer no multiple choice but he tells you what he wants for answers if you go to the review and pay attention in class. Dont forget about learn smart assignments
Blair is an awesome prof. Lectures were enjoyable. There are four essay tests but if you study then it will be very easy to pass. Weekly mc buzzword quizzes were easy too. Many opportunities for extra credit. If I wish I had the opportunity to make more classes with him.
Prof. Entenmann is a great professor. The marketing plan is a semester-long group project that accounts for most of your grade so make sure you get a good group. The tests are essay tests with four questions so they're hard and you need to study, but if you go to the test reviews you'll be pretty much given the answer.
Easy if you show up. Offers extra credit and explains himself well. Tests are not surprises he tells you what you need to know and offers extra study sessions
Blair is great. He has a lot of real-world experience and great stories that go along with almost every lecture topic. Test reviews are amazing and help you so much for his tests. Marketing project sort of sucked, but he gives a lot of outside help for it. Great semester, great prof!
Blair is a great professor. He has a ton of real world experience. He pretty much available at all times. He holds test review sessions separate from his class. The tests are hard, but his expectations are clear. Seriously one of the best professors at Ferris.
I enjoyed this class. He's tough but fair. Study and you will succeed.
Professor Entenmann will make you work for a good grade in his class, but I have learned so much this semester from him. I have never had another teacher go out of his way for their students like he does; and you can tell he really wants you to succeed. Beware of the essay tests he gives, though: go to the test reviews and you'll be fine!
Very good pr0f, lots of group work. Tough grading but if you do the work then you will do well.
Best professor Ive ever had honestly. Hes the poster child for a full service professor.
Best prof I ever had for Marketing.
The tests are a ton of writing with 4 page long essays each but Blair works so hard to help his students throughout the semester. The semesterly project has him meeting with students until late in the evening to make sure they understand the requirements. He also grades them really fast so it's not a super long wait for anything.
The best, I strongly recommend him. So funny guy and makes you love to come to class
Treats you like you are an employee and is very understanding
Blair is a great professor who provides meaningful feedback during class and does everything he can to see students succeed from exam redos to project meetings.
Really enjoyed this class. You have weekly Learnsmarts and buzzword quizzes but as long as you are organized they are very easy to get through. There is a large marketing plan project that is a lot of work so make sure you have good teammates. Overall this class wasnt too stressful, would definitely take him again.
Long essay exams, don't worry he has a review session at 3 on Fridays beforehand where he gives you the answers. Just memorize these, and there's plenty of extra credit on exams and buzzword quizzes. Also, the group project can be tough, but Blair will set up appointments for you to meet about the project and help you, also test and project redos
Awesome guy and knows what he's teaching about. The tests are essay form so they're a little tough, other than that he's great. One of my favorite professors ever.
Awesome Professor. He gives you 6 potential test questions for your exams and 4/6 are on the exam. Go to the exam reviews and 8/10 times he will tell you which questions will be on the exams. Easy class as long as you are willing to put in the work. Professor Entenmann will do whatever he has to in order to help you get a good grade.
Great prof. he has time after every class to talk and has office hours most days during the week. His tests are essay tests and he gives out 6 possible test questions and uses 4 of those. He also allows you to write "WISMS" on every weekly vocab quiz and on every test question. You could easily get 100+ points on all quizes.
Its very easy to pass his class but you better study for the test they are not straight forward. Overall he is a great professor with great life stories.
Pr. Blair Entenman is a great teacher, he is very helpful and inspirational. His class is easy but He would make you work for it, for sure.
Blair is a great professor who really knows what hes talking about. He includes his real world experiences which makes the class more authentic. The tests can be hard but if you go to the test reviews then theyre easy. I recommend him and id definitely take him again!
This class is extremely structured and predictable. Studying outside of class for buzzword quizzes and exams is a must. He is very open to answering questions on projects and about other things outside of class. Very understanding individual as well.
Quite an easy class if you put in the work. Grades are mainly based off of Tests and the group project. Tests are easy if you are good at memorization, they consist of memorizing 4 written pages word for word to do good but can retake if you do bad. Group project is graded hard but can also make corrections.
Blair is such a good teacher and really cares about his students. If you put the work in for him he will also do the same for you. It isn't the easiest class in the world, but you WILL learn a lot! The class is test heavy, and you must go to the test reviews and memorize what he gives you there to do well. Choose your group for the project wisely.
Mr. Entenmann actually seems to care about what he's teaching. He has plenty of references to real life situations to back up his lectures. He is incredibly interesting to listen to, his WISMs are entertaining and his general demeanor is incredibly engaging. Can't imagine a better intro to marketing!
The class is pretty straightforward. Do the work and you'll be fine. Lots of lectures, but Prof. Entenmann makes them entertaining and gives lots of personal examples. Very knowledgeable. On assignments, he gives great feedback and if you do horrible, you can retake certain tests. Tests are easy to study for. Overall amazing class.
Professor Entenmann treats papers and tests as first drafts- he allows you to fix them and actually learn. There is a lot of role playing the selling process in front of the class and kind of long papers. Prof. Entenmann genuinely wants to see students succeed.
He's a really good professor, very respected in his field. He grades very tough on the tests, but does allow you to retake questions you score a 15 or lower on, to get a higher grade. You also work a marketing plan, which is graded hard but you can get that regraded and fixed also. All around amazing professor and recommend taking again.
Professor Entenmann genuinely cares about the topic he is teaching and it is clear as day if you were to sit in on even one class. His lectures are interesting as he provides many life examples and funny stories to keep students involved and entertained.
Professor Entenmann is one of the best professors that I have in my four years of being at Ferris. He has a great amount of experience from the marketing field and he uses that knowledge to help students learn the material better. The work in this class is very straight forward and organized. By far one of my favorite professors I've had.
Professor Entenmann is a great professor and very kind and honest individual. He provides great feedback on all tests and assignments and treats you like an employee.
One of the best professors Ive ever had! He is a very easy going professor and is more than willing to help with any problem you may have. Highly recommend!
Super helpful professor. Gives thorough feedback on assignments and tests and lets you do corrections to boost your grade. Go to test reviews, he lays out exactly what he wants you to put down for an answer and it helps a bunch. Overall, I highly recommend Entenmann.
Blair is a great professor with a lot of experience in marketing. Tests are tougher than normal since they are written, just go to the test reviews and write out your answers beforehand so you dont have trouble answering the questions. He does allow you to redo tests so if you do bad theres always a second chance.
Professor Entenmann is a super cool professor, as long as you put in the effort and show him that you are dedicated and care about your grade, he will help you and is on your side. He wants you to do good! Showing up to class is important but he is funny and usually doesn't go the entire class time, so it isn't bad. 10/10.
He treats you like an employee, to do this he gives you the opportunity to retake tests and fix things you go wrong on projects. This is something I wish all teachers did. I highly recommend that if you take this course be sure to have Mr. Entenmann as your teacher.
Entenmann keeps lectures interesting with lots of stories from his work in the field. The weekly assignments are easy. He's fussy about the tests, but he has test reviews where he tells you exactly what he's looking for AND he allows retakes. Remember his WISMs for tons of extra credit.
3 tests that are 4 essay questions. There is a review session the Friday before the exam and give you all the answers for the exam so if you study those you will do fine. Quizzes every Friday. Big marketing plan project but If you have good group members youll be fine. You only need the book for accesscode for online hw. Great prof, wants to help.
Best marketing teacher, treats you like a worker. All you need to do is show up get your work done and you will pass with ease
This was my second business class with Blair. I went back to him specifically becuz the man knows his stuff! Hes been around the block in the biz world and it shows. He shares his wisdom. He makes u work for yer degree but he is always their to help and give feedback. He allows revisions and helps with them. THIS MAN IS GREAT. IM GOIN BACK 4 MORE!
I had this prof. during the covid-19 spring semester, he easily adjusted the course to fit the needs of the students for online and had recorded lectures uploaded for his students. A great guy!
Professor Entenmann is an all around good prof. He knows his students and is always willing to help. Overall, he is a good teacher and wants the best for his students. 10/10 would recommend taking a class with him.
All around great guy. Understands students and how we work. Class is run like a business. Be prepared for essay answer tests and lots of vocab. Works with you if you can work with him. Great for help out of classroom, quick responder. Use his help as much as you can and you will pass for sure.
Great professor and wants what's best for his students. 4 essay tests, so understanding material is key. Vocab quizzes almost every week and one big group project. If you put the work in, you'll get the grade you want. During lectures don't be shocked about hearing his business life and his love for Diet Coke!
Hes a nice guy, but very inconsistent when it comes to grading work and prides himself in giving bad grades. He is not clear when giving work and expects you to read his mind.
He was available for help on the big projects a lot, which was super nice. This semester due to COVID, he seemed to be a lot more laid back compared to normally. He makes the content easy to learn and gives a lot of feedback on homework. But, he does give a lot of quizzes and be sure to label what section his WISMS are used.
Grading criteria is very unclear and multiple choice problems are poorly worded and up to interpretation. Accessible outside of class, however offers little help. Group project was poorly managed and encouraged zero accountability from absent group members, offered no way to rate group members and everyone is given same grade regardless of effort.
Professor Entenmann is a great professor. Make sure to read the textbook and do the assignments that go along with the reading material. Make good use of all the tools he gives you to be successful in his course! If you struggle with the marketing plan make sure to reach out and he will make himself available for help. Highly recommend!
This professor is tough but fair. If you skip you will not do well. Put in the work and you will do fine. There is a large group project during the semester, but you get to resubmit most of it to the professor a second time if you do poorly. There is also lots of extra credit, do it all! He is a tough grader, but it is only so you can be better.
Great professor. Lots of work but its for a good reason. You will learn a lot throughout this class. Time management is key!!!
Excellent professor who works well with students. If you have something bad going on your your life, he will work well with you. If you are behind, see what you can do to catch up. Overall a Excellent Professor.
Professor Entenmen has a great attitude towards his students, treating them as workers to give them a chance at redemption and a taste of what the marketing business is like in the real world with aid from a marketing plan creation simulation. This simulation may be a group assignment, but without it, Marketing 321 is just another college class.
One of the best professors Ive had yet
Textbook isn't required, at least not a hard copy of it. Online version of book is needed though, I personally used an actual book and liked it better. Marketing Plan is the main thing for this class. It's a group project and is worth a lot of points. Ask Questions! Won't figure that project out on your own and schedule meeting times with him!
Awesome Professor by any means
This professor was hands down the best professor with this pandemic going on. He always wanted us to talk and have fun discussions with the entire class. He always wanted to make everyone laugh and made class enjoyable because he actually loves what he does! 100% would take this professor again and highly recommend him!
He gives spotty feedback and doesnt give clear instructions for what he wants on projects. I wouldnt recommend his class for new students its difficult and rigorous. The homework isnt bad but the exams and projects are brutal.
My favorite professor. The lectures can get a little boring at times, but gives great real life examples and is extremely knowledgable. Everything covered in the lectures is available in notes online. It's not too hard to get an A if you put in the work. Lots of extra credit opps as well. Gives great feedback and is always willing to help students.
Took 321 during Covid and Blair allowed me to take the class fully online due to being an hour away from Campus, was definitely a good class with a lot of opportunities for extra credit! Thoroughly enjoyed the class.
I had Blair for 2 classes now and I would gladly take him again. He actually knows what he is talking about as he has real life experiences in the marketing industry and has very interesting stories that are relevant to what you learn in class. I also appreciate that he is willing to give you second chances if he can see that you put some effort in
His lectures are straight forward and he gives out a lot of extra credit. Homework is all online and there is a group project for your final exam.
He was a great professor! The final project was a little rough, but overall it was a great class.
Honestly my favorite professor this semester, a fair grader and forthright with his expectations of you for the course. Provides student examples and explains the directions fully.
Professor Entenmann was easily one of my favorite professors ive ever had at Ferris. As a person who recently switched her major to marketing, Professor Entenmann was amazing with helping me and other students out. He wants to see his students succeed and be successful as they graduate college. Meet with him and he will help you through your work
Blair truly cares about seeing students succeed, and helping them get to where they want to be. He gives quite a bit of extra credit, replies to emails very quickly, and is one of the best professors Ive had at Ferris.
While I didnt have that many items that were graded in my class, all you have to do is pay attention to lectures and take his comments to heart. Blair wants nothing more than to see his students succeed and set them up for success in sales. His content is amazing and really true to professional selling.
Great professor!
A great professor who truly cares about giving good feedback and helping students get better at the subject they are learning about. Cares for their success and helps in any way he can while pushing kids to be their best selves and learn about the subject.
I love this professor. Honestly, the work was kind of difficult and his lectures are boring, but he will always help whenever he is asked. He gives lots of time to groups to ask him questions about the final project and get his help. You'll get an A if you stay on top of reading and taking notes. Try to listen to lectures as well.
Great professor, put in the work and he will take care of you
Prof. Entenmann was overall a good professor, class was boring but the the answers to the quizzes/tests are straight from the notes. The only thing I disliked was how he was a little sexist and the smart books each week are a waste of time.
I've taken Prof. Blair Entenmann multiple times at Ferris. He's very knowledgeable and helps you along the way. MKTG 475 is only offered every so often and is a must take when taught by Professor Entenmann. This class is great help and uses lots of good material. He gives lots of good feedback on launch plans and makes it easy to revise for that A.
Blair, is a calm funny sort of mono-tone lecturer. His tests and papers are very easy to accomplish. Always willing to negotiate for a better grade or to push assignments out farther. Gives example papers for you to base your paper on. Role playing is easy and he grades fairly easy. If you do the work and try you will pass with no issues.
He is a great professor and has a lot of knowledge. He treats you like an employee and respects all of his students. If something is not your best he will let you redo it to make it your best. He makes every class interesting and I recommend taking this class or any of his classes.
I took Professional Selling with Entenmann and I enjoyed every minute of it. Attendance is mandatory to keep current in the course work as he puts you through 5 different role-playing situations of being in the seat of the seller. Lectures can drag on, but he fills them with personal stories that relate real-world experiences to the notes.
Blair E. Is the best teacher I've had highschool included. He really cares about his students and wants you to pass. Stop in and see him or at least email him he will respond promptly and it will help your grade. 7 page papers aren't hard since you have 2 weeks to do each don't let the length scare you. Great teacher but also is a great man
Professor Entenmann is phenomenal! Take him if you can. Lectures are engaging. He gives great feedback and is detailed in his corrections pertaining to the marketing project. If you communicate with him, he's kind and understanding. He wants his students to succeed. Great professor, and I wish he taught more classes for my major. Highly recommend.
He is very helpful when you fall behind or if you need any help on anything.! He goes above and beyond what is expected and makes the lectures fun!
This is by far one of the best Professors at Ferris State University. If you attend his class, participate and show effort he will work with you. One of the best teachers at giving feedback and letting you correct papers very often. Class is a direct link to real life situations. Would recommend taking him for any class he teaches!
Professor Entenmann has a great sense of humor, a wide knowledge of the field of marketing, and seems to genuinely enjoy what he does and is there for his students.
Professor Entenmann is great. Covers the material step by step and is very helpful.
Prof Entenmann is the man. My favorite class this semester. He is definitely very knowledgeable about every aspect of marketing and is lectures are fun to listen to as he adds lots of jokes to keep students attention. Overall one of the best profs at Ferris and I will be taking him again in the future.
You'll probably do fine with the quizzes and tests if you put in effort, but the group project at the end can make or break your grade and your sanity. Harsh grader and the requirements are confusing sometimes, so expect to get a lot of help from prof to do it *his* way.
