He's very animated and interested in the topic. Do not take if you are easily offended discussing religios beliefs. He may sound anti-Christian at times, though he's not. He is only against fundamentalists and literal interpretations. (He in fact is a Christian, BTW). Just thought I'd give a warning. Class was interesting.

i took the internet class. easiest class i have ever taken. he gives you a week for tests and assignments. you have 2 quizzes and a final plus 5 1 page papers and 2 3 page papers the whole semester. VERY GOOD GUY!!!!

he has so much energy and is entertaining and funny. explains the subject to a T and is easily followable. would strongly recommend. notes may seem somewhat scattered but he is thorough when explaining them. test are not hard if you study even a little! good teacher

Took this class as an elective & really liked it! Gadsby has so much knowledge & experience about the subject! He keeps his lectures completely unbiased. Very charismatic & talks quite a bit so notes can get lengthly (yet, info is always interesting!) Reviews before tests & only two major assignments. Without a doubt, a very recommendable teacher!

I took Religion and the Modern World, the class wasn't exactly what i was expecting, but Prof. Gadsby made almost every minute of class interesting. Mr. Gadsby is a very fun and helpful teacher. I enjoyed class it was very interesting and we had fun decisions. You don't get point taken away for not showing up but you will miss that weeks note. He tells you exactly what to expect for tests/exams, and all the answers will be in your notes.

Blair is an awesome teacher and really knows his stuff and loves religion. He tends to ramble and go off about different related subjects, but as long as you take the notes he writes on the board you'll be fine. read your books. As a previous poster said, assignments arent "hard" but are time and thought consuming. tests are hard though.

He is really enthusiastic in his teaching. Gets off topic alot. When he writes on the board it ends up looking like a crazy mess and I can never keep up. The assignments are easy if you work on them and give yourself enough time. The tests are ridiculous NOT EASY. Loved the teacher just wish I was able to grasp the information better.

Liked the class a lot,Prof Gadsby is great, very passionate about what he teaches. Very interesting, take everything with a grain of salt not for students who get offended easily keep in mind there are many different oppinions and religions out there. Mr Gadsby is a really helpful teacher. English is my second language, so I have a little bit trouble with my reading. Although this class require a lot of reading but I did a lot of extra work to got some extra points. So if u work hard, although you can't get a satisfy score on test, u can still get an A with extra points.

Mr. Gadsby is a great man but in my opinion, a man of such biased opinions towards religions should not be teaching a class. I took this class in the hopes that I would get insight into each religion from their different perspectives, and he only teaches from an atheistic point of view. Talks down on religions a lot and I would not take him again

Mr Gadsby is a great professor. He has a genuine interest in your education. He gives you the opportunity for mutiple extra credit assignments, a little tough on writing assignments but it is for your own good. I got to say,I am glad I didn't have him for Eng 102, my A would have been a B- . Overall I would take his class again.

I took this class during summer. It was challenging in the beginning however, if you do take the opportunities for extra credit when presented you will have no regrets when it comes to final exam. summer session of REL100. he is very excited and animated when teaching. he has visited a lot of other countries so has stories to share from his experiences. i enjoyed his lectures and he provides lots of notes. most of the tests are based off your notes. he also had plenty of opportunities for extra credit which really helps your grade. recommed

I am sure he is no atheist , Buddhism or Islamic, but he treated everyone with respect and show no political or interest on one religion only. He was there to teach us everything he know and encourage us to love one another and understand other cultures even if you don't like it. I think that was very positive and great to hear from instructor.

The instructor uses lecture and powerpoint. It is best to try and listen and read ahead of time when taking this course. Notes are required, but the instructor would let you know what to write down. Make sure to brush up and take advantage to review English and other places that provide help when taking this course.

I was probably his worst student he ever had (I turned in a lot of assignments late), but he taught me a lot about the different religions and I always found his lectures hilarious. If you are in his class you will get to see that he is passionate about his students and what he teaches.

Although this class was heavy with lecture, Professor Gatsby made sure that his lectures were very interesting. He was very clear about his grading policies and what you could do to receive the grade you wanted. This class of REL100 is something I would recommend taking in general, but if Mr. Gadsby has open seats make sure you pick him! The class is more face to face and one on one with the professor and you aren't stuck doing everything online at home. He was very understanding and explained everything in great detail. Mr. Gadsby's lectures are amazing and quite enjoyable and positively changed my view towards religion. There are no surprises on the quizzes and midterm and homework is manageable. Ensure that you show up to class and pay attention to highlighted texts through out the lecture. Make sure you stay ahead of the assignments and do the extra credit for to provide a buffer for the possibly a bad quiz grade.
