Professor Ellis is BY FAR the best professor I have ever had! If you are not taking his class, you are missing out on a great opportunity! I am nowhere near a history person, but he made this class fascinating. As long as you listen to his lectures, you will do fine on the exams. Not much homework, but some pop quizzes, so do the readings.

His lectures are awesome, if you show up for class every time and listen to his lectures, as well as doing the assigned reading, there should be no reason why you don't get a A or B in his class. I took the entire class in 3 days while taking care of a newborn. I admit that I read the books before the class started. The textbooks can be found online for free in PDF version. The 2 books for essays I got for free through a trial with audible dot com. Ironically though I learned more than my last 8 week history class. Kudos Dr. Ellis.

Wonderful professor with a great sense of humor to keep the class awake. Tests consist of easy multiple choice questions derived word for word from the notes you take in class. If you fail any of his tests, you should schedule a visit with your elementary school counselor so that you can sign up and re-take fifth grade history.
