Online course. Take it if you want something you can work on at your own pace. No final but there's a lengthy weekly assignment. Worth it to spear the stress of finals week though! Need access code for hwk.

I took Farrar for Polisci 2310 online, and well it was super easy almost like i didn't even take this class because i rarely had to do any work. He emails back really fast and is willing to help you with any questions. Only had 2 tests and a project.

Best government class I have ever taken. So easy to understand and didn't occupy too much time. Was able to get ahead, stay ahead, and finished the classwork a month before finals.

So easy. Just make sure to turn everything in on schedule and don't forget about the term paper at the end. But, it's only 3 pages!

Loved this class! I'm not into politics, but looking at how other students thought made me realize their point of view. It was very open and honest and everyone did very well communicating. Easy A!

If you like political science this teacher is your guy. Easy grader, fun topics, at times lets you pick your topics. I took this class online and found it very convenient.

Took him online for 2310 and 2320. He seemed to be more lenient on grading in 2310 than in 2320. The class is pretty easy though and the final project was fun and pretty easy since its only 2-3 pages.

Took his online class and it was an easy A. Just do all the assignments. Most of his stuff is on quizlet which helped with homework. Things were due on Fridays. Really easy. Take if you can!

BEST online course I've ever taken. Expectations are clear, assignments are straightforward, decent work load, and he sticks to the syllabus! Connect used for homework. Everything you need to know is given the first day and he doesn't change it throughout the semester, I appreciated that! Follow his expectations and you should make an A. TAKE HIM!

A lot of homework on TRACS and McGraw Hill Connect. It is more time consuming than difficult so get it done early. There are videos you can watch on TRACS to help with the subjects learned. Also, the schedule is clear, so respect the due dates. For connect, the assignments do not get completed until you get all answers correct.

There are a lot of McGraw Hill assignments but they are super easy. This class is great for learning online.

I attended his online POSI2320 course and couldn't be more impressed! He is EXTREMELY organized and it makes it nearly impossible to get lost. He is very descriptive with assignments and his expectations. He will also always send out reminders when assignments are due. The work is easy, just DO IT. I would recommend this class 10/10.

He is SO organized. I took him online and I loved how organized everything was, and the work was not bad AT ALL. Everything was simple and straightforward. I would definitely take him again! No tests, just discussions, few quizzes, and chapters due through connect!

I took this class during Fall 2020 at the height of covid, which may be different circumstances for you. This class was hybrid, but I attended all lectures via zoom. The material is pretty simple, and if you attend the lectures it will be even easier. There is a textbook, but I believe the price was included in tuition :) Dr. Farrar is fun!

I'm taking POST 2320 with Prof. Farrar in Fall 2020 all online. I enjoyed taking his course and have not had a single problem with him. Course work is based off 4 exams and McGraw-Hill Connect. A book is used but it's automatically added in tuition but is not needed for the course (in my opinion). Overall, he's a great and laid back professor!

Easy A. Just attend the lectures and do the assignments and you'll get a good grade

I personally LOVED having him as my professor. His powerpoints are easy to follow, he'll tell you what to write down. He starts class off with what is currently going in the news. He is very nonpartisan which is great ! During this semester, he has been very lenient on the Connect assignments, if you have any trouble let him know and he WILL help.

This semester was all over the place because of COVID, but he put the students first and was very understanding of the situation.

Mr. Farrar is a great professor. He is very understanding about how the pandemic is affecting everyone and is willing to work with us. If you do the study guide (comes right from the lectures), you'll pass the tests easily. The homework is kind of long, but if you complete them, you get a 100. TLDR: Easy class, good prof

Prof. Farrar handled this semester greatly. He understood that the pandemic affected many of us, so he rerouted his course to help suit us. His test comes with a study guide, which is based of his lectures. He does not assignment hw, but we need to do questions on our textbook through McGraw Hill. He is a solid professor that understands!

Professor Farrar was a great lecturer and made tests very easy. The only homework was on Connect and was not bad at all. He also provided many extra credit opportunities which made it extremely easy to get a high A in the class. Also the material taught was very relevant.

Really made political science interesting. Class is mainly just taking notes, but he really knows what he's talking about and obviously cares about the content. Our lowest test grade was dropped so I didn't even have to take the last test. There was no final as well. Go to the lectures and do the homework and this class should be a very easy A.

Awesome teacher! Super laid back, young vibe. He gives out extra credit and every option is EASY. This class, when taken online, isn't lecture heavy at all, just take the quizzes, do the practices, and do well on the tests. Exams were a little hard, but nothing that studying properly couldn't fix! Definitely recommend him!

This class stressed me the least this Semester and I'm really grateful that I got to take this professor. Just make sure you do the online assignments and the Exam questions are exactly what he teaches from the power point. Just study the power point slides, do your online homework and you will pass even without attending class. would take again!

easy class! ( i had him for both posis) i was worried he wouldnt give me good grades because of my opinions, but i always got really good grades! little feedback though, but i didnt really seek him out.

Was an amazing teacher. Really cares about your grade, offered some extra credit but not a lot. Test were challenging if you didn't pay attention to the lectures. Got 70s on test, 100 on the other assignments, pulled out As on the test. Just get the assignments done on time and it's an easy A.

Some of the lectures are boring and he goes through the slides quick so try to pay attention as best as you can or you'll struggle on the tests. Take good descriptive notes. Gives a review but it's just bullet points on what you need to know from each section. He's organized and very helpful if you ask any questions.

Exams very easy as long as you take good notes from lecture and allows multiple attempts for each exam. Gives a review for each exam and offers extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. Also very very nice!

I had him for a hybrid class and he was the best teacher for this. While he did offer days where you could go in-person, doing it through zoom was just as easy. You don't even need to attend the zooms live. As long as you watched the lecture recordings and did the connect assignments, which were completely up to your schedule, you could get an A.

Prof Farrar is pretty good. I had him online and it was a simple class. Read the textbook take the quiz, watch the lectures take the exams. There are 4 exams and 4 quizzes. The exams are nothing like the quizzes, as the textbook company makes the quizzes and the teacher makes the exams. Take him, he's chill.

If you have the option to take this professor, do it. The class is very easy, not sure if its just because of Covid or he is normally this relaxed. Lowest exam out of 4 is dropped and it was open notes. Stop thinking about it and sign up for his class.

Took the asynchronous class which was easy. The book is online as well as the quizzes and exams, so grades are automatically available. He was nice enough to extend our due dates for all work to Sunday since its a on your time class.

He is by far one of the best professors at Texas State. If you fail his class it is because you were actively trying to do so. His lectures are easy to follow and he tells you what to write down. All test material is straight from powerpoint. All tests and quizzes are open book open note. Super easy to get an A, just submit work on time.

Professor Farrar was awesome this year and I was worried taking Political Science would be hard but his class was smooth and he's always willing to help and answer questions. He's a nice guy and I would defiinetly take his class again!

I really liked Prof. Farrar, at the start of every class he went over stuff that was happening on that day in politics, and just in general kept me up to date on everything politics. He does move kind of fast through his lectures but its easy to follow along with. He showed no bias to one side or the other, and kept all comments very neutral.

I didn't go to class once after the first week and ended up with an A. He posts his lecture slides so copy those down. The tests are online and open-note. Use Socratic. The homework is the only annoying part but just because it's lengthy. Otherwise, the class is by far the easiest one I have taken.

Online class and I didn't watch a single lecture. all the homework is through McGraw Hill and each test is based on those assignments. so easy to pass if you do the work by each deadline. Google is helpful for homework. I didn't do a single extra credit but he had several times where it was available.

Best professor! Lots of extra credit opportunities and as long as you do the homeworks and watch the lectures you are guaranteed an A. I will definitely be taking my next political science class with him. You can tell his main goal is for his students to do well and take as much out of his course as they possibly can.

Its almost impossible to fail w/ him. Attendance is not required and the lectures are online. His exams are online and are open for 90 minutes. All his exams can be taken twice. He responds to emails fairly quickly. His lectures are interesting and he really knows his stuff. He also offered lots of extensions and was really understanding. 10/10.

TAKE THIS TEACHER! Uploads his lectures and powerpoint on canvas, so you don't have to go to class. Talks about recent politics in class which is interesting. Tests are based on powerpoints, and are open notes.. so very easy.

Watch his lectures and read his PowerPoints! His exams are heavily based on his PowerPoints and everything he types in class is expected to be on his exams so make sure to highlight them. His exams are online/asynchronous. He has class discussions on current world problems or politics before lecture which are very engaging and interesting.

All work is online and he's very flexible with due dates, though the work is easy enough to do pretty quickly. Lectures aren't required but you'll want to watch them for exams.

Easiest class. All tests are online with open note, you have 2 tries on the test and the highest one is your grade. Have 4 days to take the test and can ask him questions about it. The assignments are due on the same day- McGraw hill so all can get 100%. Easiest class and very chill professor.

Farrar was great and had very interesting lectures, he is very chill and helpful to his students. There was a lot of time-consuming homework which were McGraw Hill Connect assignments. However, the content on those is not tested and they all open at the beginning of the semester so you have plenty of time to complete them.

Lecture material is what is on the test, so definitely go or watch the recording. Quite a bit or busy work but it does help boost your grade. This class is exam heavy but the extra credit opprotunitys help make up for those few points. Not very strict on deadlines.

Take good notes on the power points and I would write down EVERYTHING he said b/c you never know if it is going to be on the test. Tests are basically word for word in the PowerPoint so this class was a breeze.

His assignments were easy and there were PLENTY of free resources online to help. His slides directly related to the questions that were asked on the exams. Great Professor.

Prof. Farrar gave great, informational lectures and reasonable exams. If you study the lecture slides, you'll be totally fine. Can't say I like politics, but it was less painful than usual in this class.

If you are able to take Farrar, DO IT. He made this class so easy and accessible no matter where you were. open note, take home exams and McGraw Hill is about it for the workload for this class. he's also really nice and easy going.

BEST POLITICAL SCIENCE PROFESSOR OUT THERE! He made the class so easy. I came into this class thinking it'll be the end of my career, but he made it so fun! I took POSI 2320 before POSI 2310 and id didn't matter at all. Everything was very clear, and lectures were amazing! He cares about students so much and it is truly amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

If you have a chance to take him, DO IT! He is 100% the best POSI prof in the field. He doesn't take attendance and honestly it doesn't matter since all lectures are online and recorded in Canvas. I can count on one hand how many times i went to his class. I wish i would have went more often because he is dangerously attractive, other than that, this is a BLOW OFF CLASS. Do what you want with that information.

Not going to lie, I didn't attend this class much but just make sure to get the chapters done and they will help to balance out the test grades. I personally did well with this class so I didn't need to do extra credit but those opportunities are available throughout the semester. It's basically tons of McGraw Hill work mixed with lecture.

The course is completely online and incredibly easy. The only downside is if you're genuinely interested in learning the subject, as the class doesn't provide much depth. I took it to fulfill a basic requirement, so it was nice and easy for that purpose, but I didn't learn much.

Professor was really nice and everything was online through McGrawhill connect- an online software system like mastering physics for physics class. He has really great grading criteria and was the best teacher I've had here so far in 1st semester at Texas State University.

Phenomenal teacher with a ton of passion, has done nothing but help out students who are struggling or having a tough time, much better professor than Thomas Cloud who teaches the same course. Wish I would've taken Professor Farrar for POSI 2320. Even though I am a Health science Pre-Med major he made political science engaging and digestible! GOAT

By far my favorite professor, as this is my second time taking him. All his exams and assignments are online and easily accessible. Doesn't require attendance and posts all his recorded lectures. This class could be a virtual class because all the work is done online and so are the tests. You never need to attend class or listen to lectures because the tests are online. He offers so much extra credit, that there is no reason to not get an A in his class.
