Good prof. Makes history interesting.

You dont really hav to go to class except for days you have a test. Thats what I did and im making an A in his class.

His class is super easy! He doesnt use a book at all, 100% lecture. He posts all his powerpoints online so you can just do the review online and show up on test days and you will make an A.

By far, the greatest teacher I've ever had. And that's saying a lot because I hate history. You don't need the book and he grades very fair. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone! :)

Very dry lectures, but he definitely knows the content. He is not excited about teaching HIST 1301, and you can tell he prefers 1302. Very easy tests. He provides a more than adequate review. He expects you to attend class, listen to his lectures, and not be a complete moron. If you can meet those requirements, an A should be no problem. Good guy..

Easy class, u don't need the textbook at all. The study guides are all you need. Easy A if u attend and do the extra credit on each quiz. Make sure u don't miss any quiz, those are super easy and short.

This class is ridiculously EASY! This is a very laid back class & u can record lectures instead of note taking. He gives a review for each test. Final isn't cumulative. Must go to class for quiz & if attendence gets low he will only give the review to those who come. We always got out early & he allots 1 day to make up a missed test (Not final)

Great professor! Goes through lectures with power points, and answers any questions. 4 exams with reviews and power points & 4 short quizzes also with power points included!! Really easy class, but you do have to pay attention & study tests are about 40ish questions long but easy :) !! TAKE HIM! you won't regret it! I recommend taking a recorder.

He was very knowledgeable and if you go to class you get the powerpoints (easy enough). All the answers to the quizzes and test questions are bolded and stared on the powerpoints. Show up to class, study the powerpoints, and there is no way you wont get an A. He drops the lowest quiz grade at the end of the semester as well.

Blake Williams is by far the best professor I've had. He is very knowledgeable, and makes all of the information easy to understand, and interesting. It's obvious he cares about the success of his students, very easy to work with, which isn't the case with many professors. Definitely take this class, you won't regret it! & He's pretty cute, too :)

I took him for 1301 & 1302. He is extremely easy. As long as you show up to class and take notes, you will pass. You do not need the book. He answers all questions and he is very easy to follow.

Best history teacher! He tells you the history like a story, so it's easy to get interested and understand. No book! No homework! Just go to class, pay attention, study your notes and bit and you're golden. And yes, very easy on the eyes, sexy voice as well ;)

I took this class 1301 and 1302 loved it and he made history memorable he is my favorite funny, smart and eye candy!!!!

Mr. Blake Williams is very helpful and nice, he explains the material well. I definitely recommend taking his class. We also did not need a book, I took his class this summer.

By far the best class I've taken ! His lectures are easy to understand and his tests and quizzes are straight forward. He also tells you when a quiz is coming up and what to study so not many surprises. No book is required and he has study guides. Really loved the class!!!!!!!

Mr Blake was soooo easy I highly reccomend him to those who DO NOT LIKE History. All we had were 4 short 1 page papers and they were opinonated and 2 test. I never studied and I passed..Test is multiple choice. So hey #TeamBlakeWilliams

Mr. Williams is very chill and laid back. His class is mainly powerpoint lectures and he posts the powerpoints and review sheets a week before tests and tests are easy. No textbook. He's really funny and you will see some of his humor shine through his tests lol. He is reliable and responds to emails quickly. Highly reccommend.

Easy class! You can record his lectures, take pictures of the powerpoints, whatever you prefer! Easy class, just make sure you have the notes and you should pass with flying colors.

VERY VERY EASY CLASS. Don't need the book at all for the course. Teacher provides outlines for class it's up to you whether to take them or not. ONLY 2 exams provided (mid-term & finals) small quizzes which are easy from the outlines. If you do your work easy A

Loved Mr. Blake! Doesn't use the book at all, even tells you not to buy it. Lecture/slide based only but not boring. He really knows his stuff. He makes it clear he's not out to be a teacher to make your life tough. Gives you outline for exams and goes over them and answers question before you take tests. Awesome teacher!!

I could talk about how attractive he is all day, but I won't. He is an excellent teacher who clearly enjoys what he does. He is also the only teacher I have taken who actually has great lectures. I plan on taking him for as many classes as I can!

This class was easy. I am not interested in History but this class wasn't so bad. Mr. Williams tried to be funny. You don't need a book, just make sure you are in class and record his lectures. Gives a review for tests and if u study that u will get an easy A. Our test were taken online so we could use our notes. Great Professor but glad it's over!

Professor Williams is great! He has made this class so interesting and he is a great lecturer. He follows his Syllabus so there are no surprises and he is very fair with his grading. If you need this class take it with Blake Williams. You will be glad you did!

I took his night classes and saturday classes for history 1301/ 1302 and just found myself interested when I never have been too interested before! Made learning the material easy. He is also cute with a nice voice! That definitely helped me pay attention!

Mr. Williams is a very good professor, he teaches all you need to know for his mid term and final, no book needed the instrusctor uploads all the readings requiredn and slide shows. You always have know how you are doing on your grade, and he is very helpful.

Exams were online which were little tricky but as along as you go to class and listen/ record his lecture and write notes, you will be fine. Understanding teacher when it comes to attendance, he cancelled class a few times during the semester as well. He'll throw in a quip every now and then, funny guy. He understands the class is to fulfill the core requirement, tests and quizzes were easy.

He's really relaxed about things. He replies to e-mails promptly and efficiently. His lectures are clear, and aren't to long.

Discussion board and journals must be 300 words, but it is mostly you expressing your opinion on a certain topic. He also gives extra credit after each test. This is a way to boost your grade . Probably one of my favorite history classes I've ever taken. Professor Williams challenges you to think outside of the box. There are a lot of assignments; journals, discussion posts, short essay assignments. Overall do the class. Gives great feedback.

This is by far the best History teacher I have ever had 1301- 1302. His lectures are never boring you actually learn more about history, if you want to take History 1301-1302 this is the teacher you NEED to take. You will come out learning alot more about history and he is beyond fair with attendance and grading so don't slack put effort and pass.

Gave very few if any quizzes and tests were from his lectures. Pay very good attention to his lectures and takes notes from his powerpoints. He is very laid back and extremely knowledgeable and and funny too! I would certainly take him again if he teaches other classes. Don't waste your money on textbook either, you won't use it.

Super easy. Assigns online submitted "journals" - don't be scared, just read and answer and you'll be fine. On campus class still gets an online test, so use Google if you have to - it's just history, the internet has answers. If you fail you are doing something wrong. DO NOT BUY A BOOK - HE DOESN'T USE IT AT ALL. Easy A+

Easily the best professor I have ever had. He makes the class incredibly easy without being lazy or unorganized. His lectures are easy to follow and never boring. He's fairly young, so he's got a good sense of humor and can relate to students. Also, the dude is hilarious. You won't regret choosing this professor. I'll definitely be taking his 1302.

Took class online and everything was straightforward if you just keep an eye on your calendar. Quizzes are very simple, test relatively so. Wouldn't say DON'T buy the book, personally didn't use it much. Didn't need to interact much but when I did prompt replies and quick grading. be prepared to journal and discuss about 900 words per week

He's a pretty good teacher. I took him for a Saturday course so I'm not sure how he differs if you take him another day. His lectures are fun. His tests were all online as were most of the quizzes. He likes to throw in trick questions and freebies. The tests aren't super hard His powerpoints are pretty bare so if you're playing safe then take notes

This class was actually very enjoyable. I took it online in Summer 1. I cannot say enough good things. The course instructions were very clear and there were multiple way to earn points toward an A. If you do a little work everyday or a lot several times a week, I cannot imagine that you couldn't make an A. Professor Williams rocks!

I'm taking him right now for summer 2 at TCC Trinity River. We do not use a book, everything is on black board. He gives us lectures that follow a simple, easy to read power point. He explains everything leading up to and about a topic on the power point in detail so notes are not rushed. He allows you to record his lectures with your phone.

Mr. Williams's class is all about his lectures. He doesn't care if you don't show up to class, but you definitely won't pass if you do not come. He has a very clear schedule as far as the curriculum goes. The class is very easy, if you take good notes. He will tell you on the first day of class to not buy the book.

Mr. Williams is a great professor. The first day of the class he told us not to worry about a textbook. You will want to show up for class because all of the material for tests come from his lecture. Just show up to class, pay attention, take notes, give effort in doing journals, and you will make an A. I will be taking him for US history II.

What can I say this guy's class was probably the easiest class I have ever took. At the same time one of the most interesting, his lectures are great and the quizzes and test are pretty simple as long as you take good notes. No books needed and we never stayed the full two hours for my summer class. I would definitely recommend him!

Most of the quizzes are over chapters in the book but the same info can be googled. Some of the quizzes and test were over attached History Channel videos or powerpoints and pdfs. Nice teacher. Will take again.

Very interesting class if you love history! No textbook needed and all of the exams are online. There was no comprehensive final, the last test just counted as the final which was nice. Super easy class as long as you listen to the lectures and complete your journals!

He's soo funny and a clear grader. He sends email reminders and is very lax on grading. For the class, we have journals, quizzes, and tests. The quizzes are easy. The journals make you think. The tests review questions aren't online so you have to look them up yourself. He's always accessible out of class and is very helpful. HIGHLYY recommend.

Very great teacher knows actually what he was teaching. His class consisted of 6 journals 3 exams multiple choice and 1 or 2 short answer questions whom he provided study guides for and a total of 10 short quizzes. No textbook required he provides you the material of power points on blackboard.

Maymester,online, clear syllabus. wrote 4 journals, 8 quizzes 5-10 questions ,4 tests 50 questions All tests are open book but you can find on quizlet. Quizzes are over pp or videos. If you can't pass his class you need to re-evaluate what YOU are doing wrong. Having 3 kids full time job I was able to manage this fast paced course.

I just took this class for a maymester, for history 1302. This is my first maymester being that every history class is always full online. Anyways, this was the EASIEST class ever. 4 Journals, 3 Tests and 8 quizzes. Journals are 300 words, quizzes are 5 questions and test is 50 multiple and T/F. Everything on test is online.. I made an A.

I took this as an online class and was not disappointed. Prof. Williams was clear in what was expected and what types of assignments would be given. A textbook is required (from Chegg) and it is used all semester. The only issue is that he only lists the assignments for the upcoming week so you can't exactly work ahead. Other than that, super easy!

I took his History 2 class for the 2017-2018 wintermester and it was a breeze. There were 5 quizzes, 5 discussion boards, 5 journals, a 100 question mid term and final. Quizlet is your friend for this class and you need the book. Overall really good class, I actually learned something.

No text Required, everything you need for a test will be given to you during class lecture. Gives out extra credit. Mainly grades off journal entries, tests, quizzes. Material on tests/quizzes is only over current class material, will not re-test you over past material.

This Professor made this class super interesting! He keeps up with grades, the quizzes and journals are pretty easy. He gives an opportunity for extra credit and no book was needed for the class. Mr. Williams responds to emails quick and makes lectures easy to understand!

Took him for Hist 1302 and although his voice can put a baby to sleep, we learned a lot of interesting things! He's funny and nice. No book needed. Responsive and very helpful. Just make sure to attend class, do your journal entries & quizzes. Should be an easy A if you're attentive. Wish I didn't procrastinate towards the end. Would take again!

Took him online this summer. Lots of work but he grades very fair. Wants you to understand material and give opinions. Discussions, Journals, quizzes and tests (3) keep you busy. Test and quizzes are timed but he gives you enough time so its not too bad. His weekly requirements are posted and he emails also. Very good communication for online.

Took his class during the summer. It may feel crammed if you struggle with reading. You will have readings and assignments every week. His grading and tests are fair. He responds to emails very quickly. I recommend him if you love history.

Took him for online Western Civilization and right from the start he had his class organized and tells you exactly what you need to do to be successful! He reminds you to keep up with your work and gives plenty of time to complete assignments. Great professor!

TAKE THIS CLASS!!! I would take him again in a heart beat. Took this online for 8 weeks due to COVID and It was perfect. You get a few quizzes every week less than 10 questions each Super easy can be found on quizlet . There are a few discussion bords along with 2-3 journals again super easy. Tests are 100 questions but can be found online.

I took Professor Williams for hist1301 and hist1302. He is a great professor! He is very organized and is specific in everything! He is not a hard grader either. I would take him again! Super easy class, just read the material, take notes and do the assignments and you will get an A. He is quick at getting back to emails as well.

Great Prof. Easy Class. Been taking online due to Covid. Read 20-40 pages from textbook every week. Take a short quiz from it. Usually multiple choice or short answer. 300 word paper every week from a prompt about that weeks topic. Discussion boards. Really interesting reading. Def taking Western Civ 2. Hopefully I can get him again for it.

I wish I could take him again for HIST2312. I changed my major to history within two weeks of his class and I couldn't be happier. He's a great professor. I learned a ton in this class. Just some quizzes over chapters, some discussion/journal posts. Finals were easy if you took notes. I only wish I heard/saw more of him, because he is so smart.

There were a lot of discussions which can be overwhelming sometimes. Relied heavily on the textbook. Professor Williams replies to emails fast enough and was understanding.

TAKE HIS CLASS! I took his 8 week class online. Super manageable. A quiz or two was due each week and a discussion. Only one test and the final test. As well as journal assignments. Discussions were fun and I learned from this course! He gave bonus assignments that were optional for extra credit. 1000/10 would recommend!

Professor Williams' HIS1302 class is a gem! The workload is very manageable, with quizzes, discussions, and journals that are easy to ace. Plus, Unstuck study proved super helpful for test prep alongside other study tools like Quizlet. Highly recommend this course!

10/10. I'm not a big fan of history but Professor Williams made it straight the point and simple. This is the most I have gained from a history class and I truly enjoyed it. The lectures do use a textbook and there are DB and quizzes but nothing extreme. All reasonable and Professor Williams is a great grader. Take his class.
