Dr. Blerina has been such an incredible instructor this semester. She has been the most accommodating and supportive teacher ever by providing a lot of resources and extra videos and reviews for the tests. I feared taking Calculus II and any kind of math, but now I am ready to take any math class thanks to Dr. Blerina' s passionate teaching methods
In Dr. Xhabli's Calculus II class you never get bored. There is so much to learn and yet she finds a way to convey all these concepts in a very intriguing way. I loved how she makes the class to look so easy and challenging at the same time. There is lots of work that is very efficient to prepare you for exams. I would take her again definitely.
Calc 2 can definitely be a difficult course, but Xhabli breaks it down in such an easy manner. She prepares you for the exams with mock questions in the homeworks, and quizzes, and also is very specific on what to look out for on the exams. If you pay attention to what she says and how she outlines to solve each problem, Calc2 is enjoyable w her.
Great lectures that are easy to follow. She stops during lecture if clarification is needed. If life happens, just show proof and she'll try to help you out. Participate during poppers. DO the reviews she posts during test week. Do and practice ALL quizzes bc it WILL help during the test. Get good with your basic algebra skills. Overall amazing.
Awesome professor, cares about her students and her notes are very good. Sometimes she might go a little fast, but she will slow down the pace when asked to make sure all students get it. Her exams are not that bad if you do the homework on your own and do attend the review sessions before the exams. I would recommend her if you took this class .
Xhabli is an amazing professor for math 1310! She provides prerecorded lecture videos and notes, and even prepares review videos for exams, which are pretty much similar questions you may see on the exams. The videos tend to be long, but it is worth watching. Meets once a week and she is receptive to the questions, and is caring about her students.
Dr. Xhabli has been phenomenal this semester. She is open to students' needs and adjusts her teaching style as necessary. She is so knowledgeable and keeps high expectations which allows us to grow in that direction. At the same time, she makes sure everyone understands the basics of Calculus II. Her passion for math is to be admired.
Great professor. Even though this was an asynchronous course, Professor Xhabli showed genuine interest in her students and actually tried to engage with us to make sure we understand the topics covered in this course. Hands down one of the best professors I had. Looking forward to taking her again. Hope she teaches Precal next fall.
This was the best lecture and class ever I have take before. Even though the class was fully online and I was nervous at first, I can confidently say I learned a lot and had fun in this class with Dr. Xhabli. She is passionate, caring and very knowledgeable. An absolutely wonderful professor! Any class taught by Dr. Xhabli is one I'd eagerly take.
MATH 1310 with Dr. Xhabli was enjoyable. She is a wonderful instructorextremely organized, has clear communication, and fair policies.
Dr. Xhabli is very kind and understanding. CASA regulates the course a lot but she only wants the best for her students and will help any way she can!
Dr. Xhabli is the sweetest professor ever and very knowledgeable. It is such a delight to be in her class where you can experience first hand how math can be fun. She loves math so much it is contagious, you will love it too. Gives reasonable amount of homework and great test reviews. Definitely would take her again. She is the best.
Dr. Xhabli was the best and the most considerate professor I had last semester. Everything she teaches stays with you for a long time, that is how effective her teaching was. I wish UH has more professors like her. She makes you work hard through homeworks and the exams are way easier than homeworks. This class was challenging, yet very enjoyable.
Dr. Xhabli is an outstanding professor. She always goes the extra mile to help all of her students. There is quite a heavy workload with this class, but it can't be learned otherwise. Attending the lectures regularly is the key to be successful. You will learn a lot of different strategies to do a problem, which helps you get ready for the exams.
Overall great professor. She can come off a bit rude but she really just wants her students to learn the material well. Shes a bit fast so come prepared/ready to learn. Essentially had 2 quizzes each week and weekly poppers. Homework varied. Calc 2 itself is kinda hard but she does her best to make sure students understand.
She's the best calc 2 professor in my opinion. Very concise & clear expectations. 2 quizzes a week, 1 homework a week & exams arent difficult. TAs are insanely helpful. She goes a bit fast but I mean its calc 2 with many concepts. Chapter 9 is your kryptonite but study well & you should be solid. No Mandatory attendance but recommended
Dr. Xhabli has been my favorite professor this semester. I loved going to her classes. Her vibrant personality shows in class and her enthusiasm about every new topic she teaches is to be admired. Very decent work with two quizzes and one homework. Do not miss her test reviews. You really learn calculus with her by enjoying it. She is the best.
She is one of the most in compassionate professors I have ever had! Worst experience ever prepare for a ton of air with little to no guidance and dont bother asking for help as she never replies. Would never recommend her
I am taking College Algebra with Dr. Xhabli. I was not aware that this class was designed to be done in one month. But Dr. Xhabli's very well-thought plan helped me navigate through this packed course easily. Very helpful lecture videos, they are a bit long, but worth it. Replies very quickly, and sends regular reminders for the tests. 10/10
I took Calc2 with her online. Sucks at teaching. Didn't systematically explain, just breezed through topics too quickly. Got irritated when people asked questions during lecture. Has a heavy accent & yells into the mic all the time. I recommend KhanAcademy, OChemTutor, and ProfessorLeonard on YouTube if you want to do well in the class.
Professor Xhabli showed up to the online class every day on time. A little bit difficult to understand at times due to her accent, but she teaches the course content successfully. She seemed to really like math. Really enjoyed this class, it was challenging but satisfying. Overall a decent teacher.
I took this course in high school and had a difficult time understanding it. However, Dr. Xhabli's methods of teaching have made the concepts of calculus a lot easier to grasp, and I was able to learn a lot this semester, and catch up on what I had missed in high school. Despite COVID, she never lost the enthusiasm and her passion to teach math.
She is a good teacher, with clear expectations and policies. The class is easy, you have to watch the prerecorded lecture videos which are very helpful. They are quite lengthy, and it takes time to finish them. If you follow the plan Dr. Xhabli provides, you can easily manage to keep up with everything. Tests are like her review videos. Easy A.
Professor Xhabli is a good professor, however, I did not interact with her because the course was asynchronous. The lectures were helpful and she was very good at giving plenty of review material before each exam. I had no trouble understanding the concepts and would recommend her to anyone taking Calculus 1 or 2.
Dr. Xhabli is the most caring professor I have ever had. She goes above and beyond what is required from a professor. She always prepares extra resources for us, introduces us to a lot of different approaches to make the concepts easier to grasp. Thanks to her, I felt like Calculus II was one of the easiest math I have taken and enjoyed the most.
She taught okay, but her live reviews were gems- they really prepare you for the tests. Gives lots of extra credit, and actually seems to care about students' grade even though she can be a little intimidating if you want to ask a question.
She was probably the best math teacher I have ever had. Actually cared about student's success in her class and went through plenty of examples in class to reinforce what she taught. Pay attention in class, do the HW and quizzes and ask questions and you should be good to go. She does a very good job of preparing you for the tests.
Loved her class. I learned everything by attending her live lecture sessions regularly and practicing with either homework or quizzes. Homeworks are challenging but doable and give you good practice for the exams. Do not miss her review sessions as they are the GOAT. She reviews all topics and gives a lot of different examples to work on.
I was reluctant to take Dr. Xhabli for Calculus II, but boy, I am so glad I had her as my professor. Besides her effective teaching methods she delivered using teams, she is one of the most caring professors I have ever had. She is extremely organized, very tech savvy and such a passionate mathematician. I began to love math because of her.
You will have to do a group activity for every class with a group. The lecture is interesting. Dr. Xhabli is very understanding. She is willing to explain and help you understand the materials. The grading is according to her syllabus. Exams are based on the material that went over in class, and group discussion. Easy projects and hw.
Dr. Xhabli is an amazing professor, and I have learned so much from her class. She has been the best role model to show us that anything can be achieved by working hard and discipline. She really inspired me to work hard as well and achieve my goals. For the first time ever, I am sad that my math class is over. Thank you Dr. Xhabli.
Calculus II might be one of the hardest math courses I have ever taken, yet it turned out to be one of the math classes I learned the best. Dr. Xhabli taught with diligence and passion, and emphasized understanding over memorisation, and provided us with a lot of resources to practice upon. All I learned will stay with me for a long time.
Prof Xhabli is extremely understanding if you do the work. Be sure to attend all classes, but especially the ones before exams. One of the only math professors at UH I have seen that wants to see all of her students get As and gives them all of the tools possible to achieve it. Do all the work and you will get a good grade
I can easily say Dr. Xhabli is the best math professor I have ever had. She wants you to succeed more than you want it for yourself. She encourages you to not give up and to believe that you can do it. She explains the concepts very patiently step by step, and she finishes the algebraic calculations very fast . It was fun to be in her class.
Ms. Blerina was a great professor and actually knew her stuff. She would skip over some steps, but if you didn't understand something she'd go back & complete all steps. She made cal 2 very at ease because her explanations were very straight forward and understandable. Hard class, but professor made it a lot better. Async but live lectures I recc.
Dr. Xhabli is very passionate about calculus and cares a lot about the success of her students. She would go over every test review question and that really helped. Admittedly, her lectures were a little boring but math is a tough subject to make interesting. Practice the test review questions and attend the live test reviews, those help A LOT
Best math professor. Study and practice what you're given and do well in the course.
I loved Dr. Xhabli and her diligence throughout this course. The way she organized the course work made it so easy not to slack off and not to miss anything. She taught us that calculus is not about numbers and formulas, it is the process behind those numbers that matters. Time spent well and not wasted. Looking forward to taking her again.
Professor Xhabli was amazing, she set clear expectations and followed through on her end for the entire course. Material was well presented and exceptionally organized. Professor Xhabli was extremely accommodating and always there to help. Her course was very manageable, homework and quizzes prepared you well for her exams. Couldn't be better!!!
Horrible professor. I use to be a math major, even a TA, but I have never in my entire student career see someone fail so hard at teaching people something with an insane workload that is more than most classes combined. We do the class like it's a Review for Cal 3 where it's assumed we're familiar with every concept. Don't take her.
Great instructor, very organized and very clear in her teaching. She really does care for your success. You should expect two quizzes and one homework per week. Study regularly and you will crush Calculus II.
It has been a long time I have not taken math, and my background is shaky. Dr. Xhabli provides two one-hour long lecture videos for each topic per week, and one live meeting where she summarizes everything. It has helped me tremendously to feel confident in math again. She explains very well despite skipping some steps. Will definitely take again.
Great professor I wish I could take her again for all my classes. Notes are perfect and in sync with textbook and she cares about your success. Make sure to do the homework, they're a bit long but not any worse than any other math class. She spent a lot of time outside of class to give extra exam reviews, she is truly the best caring prof I've had.
Professor Xhabli does a very good job at teaching Calculus II. Communication with her is easy and timely because she replies very quickly through email. The lecture sessions are very helpful to understand the material, and the examples used in the lectures are very similar to the ones asked in homeworks, quizzes and tests. I am happy I chose her.
I have loved having Dr. Xhabli as my professor for Calc 2 this fall! She is a wonderful teacher and makes it a point to show you how to logically work through a problem. I also love that I can tell that she truly enjoys math and teaching which makes it much easier for me to be enthusiastic about learning math. It is an honor to be her student.
She's so sweet! My class was async with on-campus exams. You have multiple opportunities to retake quizzes to get the grade you want, and practice exams give you extra credit for the exams. She does live lectures online and posts recordings and worksheets right after. If you stay on top of your assignments (there are a lot), it's an easy A.
Dr. Xhabli is by far my favorite professor. What I love the most about her is that she really cares for her students. She is very organized and plans everything ahead of time according to students' needs. Her live review sessions are a must-watch before each exam. She gives helpful tips on how to solve different problems. Glad I chose her.
Calculus II with Dr. Xhabli is the best math class I have taken at UH. She explains everything with such an ease and delicatess. Calculus II is a beast, but Dr. Xhabli knows how to soften and break down for us to follow through. Do all the work she assigns and you will always be ready for the exams. If you need Calculus II, she is the one to choose
Professor Xhabli was very patient, and helped make difficult concepts easy to understand. She always went out of her way to hold extra review sessions to help students before exams(even when she was sick). Her review sessions were great and should attend. She was always encouraging, helpful and caring. Take her and you will not regret it.
Homeworks in this class are very challenging, but you can get help. Exams problems are from homework assignments and lecture examples. The lectures are designed according to the book content and are very useful for finishing the homework. She provides keys after the due dates and give review sessions before exams. Hard, but she teaches very well.
Just finished discrete with Dr Xhabli. I learned so much from this class. She is the most caring professor I have had. Her exams are similar to homework and lecture examples. Do not miss classes, that is the only way to stay on track and not get lost. She is very knowledgeable and makes her classes very enjoyable. Hard class, but worth the efforts.
I did not enjoy taking this class having Professor Xhabli. She is not accommodating to CASA not being user-friendly, so frequently check due dates because she will not care if you look it over. Her videos/lectures were straight to the point and easily understood. I would not take any of her classes again.
Dr. Xhabli is one of the best math professors at UH. She is very clear at her lecture videos, provides prerecorded test reviews, and even she holds live test reviews which are a very helpful guide. She sends reminders about the tests. All is planned since the beginning of semester and the student knows what to expect each week. Simply the best.
I can't thank Dr. Xhabli enough for this amazing semester. She is so kind and so helpful. Her lecture videos and reviews are so easy to follow and deliver a good knowledge about the topics. Everything is set up in CASA and you can work ahead of time to stay on top of assignments. She gives the deadlines in the class plan, thus you can't miss them.
Dr. Xhabli is phenomenally good instructor. Her teaching style is so effective because she makes you understand the concepts rather than just memorize mundane rules/formulas. That helps a lot especially during exams. She provides a lot of resources to practice upon. Do all she says. Class is challenging but with Dr. Xhabli's guide is an easy A.
I took the one month course with Dr. Xhabli. I loved the way she informed us about the course. She organized every lecture and assignment before the semester started, reached out and guided us through the course with proper instructions and demonstrations. Following her instructions and her amazing video lectures, it was so easy to finish the rest.
Professor Xhabli is a solid choice for CAL2. She goes a little fast and does poppers every class, so don't skip often. The amount of work was very reasonable and pretty easy if you paid attention. Overall super nice and pretty good professor.
I want to thank Dr. Xhabli for an amazing semester. I always looked forward to going to her classes because she teaches with such a passion that makes you enjoy learning math. She provides you with lots of resources since the first day of classes til the end. Attend every class (she explains so good), do all the work she assigns and enjoy your A.
This was the most challenging math class I've taken. Dr. Xhabli explains very well. Going to every lecture is strongly recommended. The topics move very fast so you don't want to fall behind. Her weekly homeworks are the best practice you can get for each topic. The exams were just like homeworks and lecture examples. This class is fire. Take her.
College algebra with Dr. Xhabli made me realize that I can actually do math. Her video lectures are so easy to follow with all the extra details that help during the tests. Take advantage of the quizzes and practice tests because that is how you will learn in his class and there is extra credit. Do not miss her live reviews. She is a real gem.
Awesome professor for calculus II. Sets clear expectations and goals since the first day, provides you the class calendar with important assignments' deadlines. There is no surprise. Teaches very well, and cares about your success more than you can think. I loved being in her class and never felt lost. Very responsive to emails. Would take again.
Very straightforward class: watch two prerecorded lecture videos and attend a live session per week, complete two quizzes and one homework for practice. I took each quiz right after I watched the lecture and it really made a difference. Dr. Blerina is the best professor I could ask for. She is very understanding and caring. Do practice tests for ec
She is very specific on how she wants your answers. She is amazing at adding the hardest questions to understand on the exams, HW is kind of useful she can be rude, doesnt curve, she failed a large portion of the class as well. I put in the work but i struggled, i continously asked her for help but she wasnt all that helpful
Great professor for Math.2414. Her lectures are entertaining to say the least. She makes Calculus II look easy. Go to the lectures regularly, practice at least once after class, and you will love this course by all means. Her test reviews are very helpful. Weekly homeworks and quizzes, quite a workload but cannot be done otherwise. She is the best.
I enjoyed taking discrete with Dr. Xhabli. She can be tough, but she teaches very well. The class moves fast, so you need to put a lot of effort to practice the topics. She helps you with homework problems, she includes the hardest problems in her lectures. The exams are fair with problems from lecture notes and homeworks. And she curves the exams.
This class was so hard, I almost withdrew. Before I took any action, I contacted Dr. Xhabli and talked about how to do better. With her help and guidance, I ended up from being at verge of failure to passing this class with a B. That is the definition of a great teacher. Attend her classes regularly, do all the work she assigns, and that is all!
I'm a freshmen so not a lot of experience with other professors, but she was amazing and gave a lot of effort for the class. The material was easily covered in lecture, I had no trouble understanding what was given despite the fast pace of the course. An A+ professor.
Great course, and understanding professor. The only issue I had was that the poppers were made in person towards the end of the semester so It was a little challenging to attend class but other than that. Great professor.
The professors passion for the subject was very apparent, and it really showed in her teaching. I enjoyed learning in this class despite the rigorous material, and was able to perform way better than I did in my previous year taking calculus 1. I would recommend this professor to another student.
For me, this class was pretty easy. I was retaking Calculus II because I couldn't transfer my high school credit. I will say though that I definitely understand why people struggled with her. Due to the limited time she had for each lecture, she often rushed through slides and went over the 50-minute time frame. This also delayed her poppers.
I took this class last fall. Make sure you do not fall behind and attend all lectures. She is a really good professor, breaks down the material in a way that you are able to understand the concepts and explains everything really well. She will gladly help you if you are struggling with any quiz or hw questions, just go to her office hours.
Class itself is difficult with a heavy workload: 2 quizzes and 1 homework every week, 4 exams and the final. Professor is amazing. She is so caring and a great explainer. She explains the topics very clearly step by step and finishes the calculations in her head like a calculator, which was neat to see. She makes the class very enjoyable. Take her.
I am not interested in math at all, and Im usually very bad at it. But Professor Xhabli always did a great job at explaining every concept of the units we went through, and I actually ended up with an A. There are lots of quizzes and homework assignments (weekly), and the tests have a large weight in your grade, so make sure you study!
one of the best prof EVER. professor Xhabli is such a good instructor she explains everything clearly. she takes her time and walks you through every step. PLEASE PLEASE take her you will not regret it. There are weekly quizzes and hw but if you pay attention to the lectures you will be fine.
Dr. Xhabli's class was the only one I loved going this semester. She teaches at such an ease, and make Calculus fun to learn. She moves fast but she makes sure no one is lost. Provides a lot of useful resources, gives good reviews for exams, extends deadlines as needed. Couldn't ask for a better professor. Will definitely take her again.
Dr. Xhabli is very caring and compassionate. If you have a problem, just contact her and do not wait until it is too late. She will find a way to help you out. The class is very straightforward: watch her prerecorded lecture videos(a little lengthy but very helpful), do each quiz after you watch the video and you will ace this class.
Dr. Xhabli is the most understanding and caring professor. She replies to emails quickly, and she really cares about her students who are struggling, and provides help to the best of her ability. Definitely take her! Dr. Xhabli makes Calculus look easy with her great lectures, but you should know that you'll have to work hard for sure to succeed.
TAKE HER! one of the best math teachers I've had and she makes sure you are understanding the material. She also respects the students and makes sure that they are aware of upcoming assignments. Overall, amazing professor!
Thanks to Dr. Xhabli, I have a better appreciation of geometry and mathematics in general. I learned how to think critically and be an effective problem solver. We discussed different approaches of teaching methods, and she was a vivid example of what she taught. Overall a great instructor with a deep knowledge on the subject and profound passion.
She is the best math professor I have had. She is very knowledgeable on the subject and so dedicated to teaching and helping her students. Being in her class in the morning was the best thing to start the day: she puts such a positive energy throughout the lecture and tries her best to keep you interested and engaged. I will miss her lectures.
Dr Xhabli is the best, is not into any non sense. lectures are clear, reviews are helpful and she provides all the content with clarity. Be punctual because she never accepts late work. She replies to the emails very quickly, is very caring and never insults her students, she always answer any question you ask and would give you the best advice.
Responds to emails fast and is always so kind and respectful to everyone. Her in class examples were always just like the exams and homework. Her test reviews were SO helpful and she genuinely wants you to pass. She's so kind and merciful about extensions also. Only thing that bothered me was that she often spoke really fast. But GREAT PROFESSOR
This class is a bit overwhelming because there are many assignments on a weekly basis, but she drops a lot of things and gives assignments that give you extra credit. She is very sweet and knowledgeable and made Calc 2 a lot easier. Take her you will not regret it.
WOW what an amazing professor, literally one of the best people who taught me math in my life, she knows how to catch your attention span by speeding up and slowing down when needed, gets to the point and leaves a positive mark on your thinking with her enthusiastic approaches. so much extra credits, easy tests, drops lowest homeworks/quizzes/poppers
TAKE HER I PROMISEEEEEEEEEEE!
Good teacher. Long lectures that can be boring but lots of practice is given to help you. If you don't do well in this class, it is mainly on you.
Cal 2 is not the best but looking back at it, she made the material stick and it helped me out in my later classes. She truly knows her stuff and if you pay attention shell make sure you do too. Tests are hard but there's room to bounce back if you start off bad.
Strongly recommend her for calculus 2! Great lectures and detailed explanations! The best calculus 2 teacher in my opinion! Actually gives useful reviews for tests. Just take her !
I took her my freshman year and people said she's was mean, but she's actually really nice. She drops a lot of things and her reviews accurately represent exams. She also gives extra credit. Take her
She is a great professor. Her reviews are almost 1:1 to the exam questions but with different numbers. If you can do her reviews, for sure you will make an A in this class with a little practice. Sometimes hw quizzes are annoying though but that is expected. There is a lot of help provided in this class.
It is impossible not to love Dr. Xhabli's lectures. Her approach is to really teach the content for life not just for an exam. There is a lot of work to do in this class, but Dr. Xhabli has a plan that shares with you. If you follow that plan, you will do great in this class. She is the most caring professor I've ever had. Take her, if you can.
Took course online, everything was fairly easy. I remembered a lot of the material from hs. I wouldn't say the hw is overbearing but I did recieve more hw in this class compared to others. All the assignments were online graded on the spot, reflected on the posted lectures. Test was also similar to the reviews, she also did live sessions once a week
Took course online, material was fairly easy, reflected on what I learned in hs. I wouldn't say hw was overbearing but I did receive more hw in this class compared to others. Usually 2 lectures per week, 40-80 min long. Everything was online graded on the spot, reflected on the lectures. Test were also similar to posted reviews. Would recommend.
Good professor, her teaching style just didn't match up with my learning style. I took her online so it did get overwhelming sometimes having several hours of lecture videos to watch in a week but overall the class was good.
I took her for calc 2 over the summer and I would strongly recommend her ! No cap the the best mathematics professor I ever had. Her reviews and poppers are super helpful for the tests as they reflect the level of questions and ideas. Organized super helpful notes ! I absolutely loved her!
Dr.Xhabli is the best professor I have had in my life. She outstands herself in every single class: when you think that it cannot get any better, here she comes on the next class and teaches with so much ease and wit and enjoys while doing it. It is the only class I look forward to going to. She inspires me to do even better in everything I do.
I was hesitant to take her class due to having heard that her exams are difficult but I am so happy I am in her class. I have learned so much and have a deep appreciation of math now. Finally, I have realized that math is not about numbers. She has high but realistic expectations and guides you to achieve those expectations. Best math class ever.
Class was very interesting and well structured and straightforward. I definitely learned a lot and enjoyed the class/learning the material way more than I had expected. The quizzes and assignments were reflective of the material and was neither too difficult or too easy. Dr. Xhabli was amazing in every way possible.
The course workload is easy to keep up with if you do the work you're given on time. The professor had a schedule set up which was easy to use and time manageable. The professor was amazing. Very helpful and supportive. I would definitely take her class again!
Dr. Xhabli is an amazing instructor who cares a lot for her students and it shows. She provides live sessions weekly which I found them to be extremely helpful. She does a great job at teaching and I was very lucky to have her this semester.
I had her for her online class and i was taking algebra the second time. she really was able to explain the material really well through her lecture videos and she is very clear with the assignments we have in the class. the ability to go back to a lecture in her class really helped me get an A in the class. Take her!
I never thought that learning Calculus can be so much fun. Thanks to Dr.Xhabli I have a better understanding of math in general. I loved the insights she provided for every concept rather than just stating them. All her lectures included a summary of previous lecture at the beginning and a preview of what to expect next at the end. She is the best.
She is the most caring professor ever. She goes the extra mile to prepare bonus homeworks to help you to improve your homework average, but most importantly to prepare you for exams. Her reviews for each exam are the best guide you could look for. She wants you to succeed more than you would want for yourself. That is how she teaches this class.
She is simply the best Calculus II professor at UH. Her lectures provide a high level of understanding the concepts rather than just memorizing. You never can go wrong when you understand what you are doing. She provides a lot of resources for your success. Calculus II is a difficult course, but Dr. Xhabli makes it feel easy and worth your time.
Doing College Algebra in one month is not for the faint of heart, but Dr. Xhabli makes it feel like everything is possible with proper planning and study guides. She is very dedicated and does a great job at explaining the material and answering questions. She is also very good at communicating with students through email by keeping us updated.
Professor Xhabli is honestly one of the best professors I have had yet. She truly cares for her student's success in this course. The workload is heavy but makes for good practice of the material. Her in-class practice tests genuinely reflect the test and I have gotten an A on every test just by reviewing her uploaded in-class review lectures.
professor was easy to access outside of class, regularly communicated through teams, and made reviews that were very indicative of what you would see on the test. she posted her lectures and filled in notes after class. there is a lot of content to cover during class and so she has to move quick so expect yourself to rewatch lectures.
Dr. Xhabli is the best prof hands down for any math course at UH. I had her for College Algebra, Calculus II and Discrete math. She lays solid foundation for every topic she teaches. Would take again and again forever.
This teacher is fantastic but tests will be pretty difficult. She does curve at end , at least she did my semester. Most people fail exams. Written HW every week. Test every 3ish weeks. But She as a teacher is amazing. Make sure to show up to class or you will fall behind.
She is the best math professor at UH, she really cares about her students, her lectures are useful and entertaining, study her poppers and review notes since they are very likely to show up on the exam. She sometimes rushes her lectures due to the big number of concepts to cover, and most of the time an hour will not be enough to cover everything.
An incredible teacher everything you need to know is in her videos. If you make sure you study you will pas simple. Practice tests are harder than the actual tests at CASA so you will be fine if you practice. Overall amazing professor.
Wow for one of the recent comments: I am about to graduate and wanted to comment on my favorite instructor Dr.Xhabli who has made a big impact on my learning journey. Her English is not perfect but it is pretty good given that it is not her native spoken. She is the sweetest lady I have ever known and she does not put up with nonsense (continued).
One of the best, if not the best, calc 2 professor. Although my grade was terrible it was all my fault for not preparing for my third exam and final exam. I had an A first midterm but starting skipping (don't do this ever for any class) and ended up not getting a good grade despite Dr X's extra credit on exams and assignment drops.
Professor Xhabli's tests were very easy- like the basics of every topic. There was 1 homework a week with simple questions and 2 online quizzes a week with multiple attempts. She makes sure that all her students pass and is very friendly in general.
Dr. Xhabli is very knowledgeable and breaks down the topics very well. Attending this class is very important for your success. Examples done in class or in homeworks show in the exam. Her teaching goes beyond the class itself. Her strategies have helped me do better in my other math classes. I wish I had her for all my classes.
The best math professor at UH: organized, clear teaching methods, always available to help. She provides a plan and follows it. Every lecture video has a lot of examples solved carefully and there is a quiz to practice afterwards. I found this very effective to master the topic. This was the easiest class ever (I was never good at math.)
I personally didn't like the professor. The class was easy, but she seemed kind of condescending a lot. She is passionate about math, but not the best with helping her students out. If you do the assignments, you will thrive in this class. I barely watched lectures and got a good grade.
Great professor. Did an outstanding job to prepare us for the exams as well as making us understand what we were doing with various examples. The online lectures plus the live review videos were a great way to work on the material. Strongly recommend. Wish she could teach Precalculus.
Although the course was online, I learned quite a lot. I struggle with math but Professor Xhabli had office hours and live weekly tutorials we could go to, which helped a lot. I enjoyed how well-organized the course was, I knew what days I had quizzes and homeworks due and that helped me out. She is a great professor and a very kind person.
She posts pre-recorded lectures weekly but she flies through them so fast. Getting clarification in a timely way was difficult as she takes days to respond to emails. Homework problems covered much harder problems than what was discussed in the lecture; some problems were over applications that were not discussed. Save yourself the headache.
I really like the Professor method of teaching. She was very interactive and gave lots of examples that correlated with the quizzes and homeworks. She knows what she is teaching and loves what she does. I really like her and would recommend to someone else if they ask.
Dr. Xhabil is a great professor; the energy and enthusiasm she has in class for this subject transfers over to me when learning from her lectures! Dr. Xhabil teaches very well, shows many example problems, and her exam reviews are extremely helpful! I love how she sets us up for success! Looking to taking more classes from this professor!
Dr. Xhabli covers her lectures in a way that is easy to understand topics. She genuinely cares about all her students and provides all the necessary material for everyone to achieve high scores. The class is very well organized; you know exactly what to expect from the very first week. This was my first semester at UH and she made me feel welcome.
Took this class while taking Orgo and Genetics thinking it was going to be easy but it ended up being the hardest class. Maybe I'm just not a math person but her lectures were very hard to follow as she glosses over a lot of info she just expects you to know. If you email her asking for clarification expect a condescending reply 2-3 days later.
Class was very interesting and well structured and straightforward. I learned a lot and enjoyed the class/learning the material way more than I had expected. The quizzes and homework assignments were reflective of the material and were neither too difficult nor too easy. Her weekly review sessions were great and helped a lot to get ready for exams.
For the most part, she is very well at explaining concepts. Toward the end of the semester, the harder topics covered were not explained very well, making the homework very challenging. She isn't one for conversation so it was hard to build a rapport with her. However, she provides a lot of extra credit and drops the lowest hw and quiz grade.
Professor Xhabli is overall an amazing professor, but she is hard to reach via email, I emailed her 3 months ago but still no response. The material of this course overall is bearable but you need to set aside some time to sit and review what you just learned. For online: 2 units/ 3 poppers/ 2 quizzes/ 1 HW per week, test every 2 weeks.
She is the most caring professor I have ever had. She goes above and beyond with this class: besides her two weekly lecture videos, she maintain a weekly review session where she summarizes everything with important examples that are similar to the ones in exams. Just do what she says, she plans everything with the student in mind. Great class.
Calc 2 is pretty bad, but Prof Xhabli makes it worse. She doesn't explain the hard topics well at all, and the online quizzes are 100x harder than the examples in her videos. She doesn't prepare us at all. Tests are easier than the quizzes tho. I usually do well in classes but this one has destroyed my brain. Idk how she has such a high rating.
Just wanted to shout out loud that I love Dr. Xhabli. She has great teaching skills, high expectations, doesn't low the standards. I feel like I am in another university when I am in her class. She has a great energy and passion for what she does, and it is contagious.
Very fast-paced but she's incredibly caring and very easy to reach. Recorded lectures with attendance. Explains the material very thoroughly even as fast as she goes. Takes time to review the last lecture in the beginning. 2 online quizzes, 1 HW, 1 lab quiz per week. Practice exam's extra credit. Overall she deserves way more appreciation.
Her lectures are so wordy and overcomplicate the material. She has an accent that is hard to understand. She assigns a lot of work, so expect to be doing homework every day. HARD DEADLINES...she will not take anything late. She will not respond to emails quickly; sometimes, she won't respond ever. She is a very unmotivating professor.
Dr.Xhabli is so caring and her teaching is great. Her examples and notes are very helpful. I am happy that I chose her as my instructor for Calculus II. Her standards for both the students and her own teaching are fantastic and inspirational. Would take her again.
I am very impressed with Dr. Xhabli's ability to make complicated material easy to understand. I loved every lecture of hers and learned a lot. Despite being a completely online class, she took the time to maintain live test review sessions every week and recorded all of them for students to watch later if needed. Great professor, would take again.
Any bad reviews (if any, hardly to find though) about Dr.Xhabli can easily come from students who want to do nothing but expect good grades and demand respect from a professor, who literally has upped the expectations of how a great professor should be. She is a living example of greatness, kindness and diligence. She is my inspiration for life.
Dr. Xhabli is a very effective instructor. I had her for college algebra last semester. There is a lot of work like two quizzes and one homework per week. I found these assignments very useful though. They helped me to do even better in tests. I went to her office hours for help, and in person she is even better. (I am a real student, not AI )
She is awesome in teaching, awesome in organizing the class, awesome in reaching out to all students, shortly put awesome in everything. When you take her class, you are destined for success. Loved every bit of the course.
Dr. Xhabli is going to be one of those professors I will never forget. She teaches with such a humility and profound passion that makes the class even more enjoyable. I admire how much she knows, she should be conducting research projects.
Amazing professor. She cares for you more than you care for yourself literally. You can't fall behind in her class as she reminds you constantly of what you are doing within the week. Loved how she put these reminders at the beginning of every lecture. I thought I would never survive Calculus II, but she proved me wrong. 100/10
Professor Xhabli is a very good professor however her note structure is very poor. The blank notes given on CANVAS are not the same as her lecture type notes. It would have been so much better if she uploaded her blank lecture type powerpoint notes instead of the very poor made notes she gives. She also tends to rush through the material.
Xhabli is a decently good teacher, if you go to class you'll learn. Only complaints are that she can teach a little fast and assigns a lot of work in a short period of time. She also puts topics on the practice exams that aren't going to be on the exam wasting your time. If you try to ask for extra time or for her to slow down she gets defensive.
Dr. Blerina is a great professor overall. She speaks quite fast which can be annoying at times, but she takes the time to answer any questions asked in class. If you get used to it, it is not a problem at all. If you go regularly to her class and do assignments on time, you will love her class and your grades. She sets you for success from day 1.
I was really excited to take this class given how important it is for Comp Sci and I feel that this professor squandered that excitement with harsh teaching and randomly given quizzes. She has an accent but still understandable. When asking questions she often doesn't understand what is being asked. By far the worst professor I have taken for math.
Loved this class. Dr. Xhabli took the time to explain the topics in depth and made sure everyone was keeping up with her, and yet she was able to finish all the content. It was a great experience to learn math analytically. Expect weekly homeworks, occasional quizzes and straightforward exams (mostly like questions solved in class or homework).
TAKE HER! put in some effort. Go check your paper after every exam. She will help you out with anything you need. She want her students to understand the material and if you show her that you are interested in learning, you will get a good grade. Attendance isnt mandatory but show up to class, you will not regret it when she posts your final grade
Dr. Xhabli is an amazing professor! She assigns 1 HW, 1 lab quiz, and 2 online quizzes weekly, is always willing to help through email or office hours, and gives lots of extra credit especially towards the end of the semester. Her lectures are good but the notes aren't the best at the beginning (they get better) so use youtube to help study.
Good lectures, but YouTube videos should be used for additional understanding. HW & quizzes are usually harder than the exams itself, which helps a lot. As long as you stay on top of the assignments/lessons AND PRACTICE, you'll be okay! Prof genuinely cares about her students and gives multiple opportunities for extra credit. Would def recommend.
TA was very lazy for Spring 2023 when it came to being helpful, and kept making grading mistakes. The professor was very upset when lecturing to the point she would be slamming her hand on the whiteboard when writing. Quizzes were insanely hard (calc 2 stuff) and HW assigned fri/sat and due tues/wed. More than half os spring 2023 dropped.
Prof.Xhabli is the best. Just received the grade for this class and she gives the best curves. She has high standards for her students, and she delivers amazing lectures. She always comes with a smile in class and keeps you engaged throughout the lecture. I wish my computer science professors were as good as she is. Would definitely recommend.
Outstanding professor who really cares about seeing her students succeed. Even sends motivational emails towards the end of the semester. Offers extra credit for every exam including the final. It's a tough class, but if you dedicate the time you'll do well.
She's the most amazing professor I've ever had. Given that Calculus II is known to be hard, she makes it easy as possible by her way of teaching, extra credits, and caring personality. Take advantage of her extra credit incentives, attend office hours, and do her test reviews. She also removes time consuming topics from tests to make things easy.
One of the best math classes I have taken at UH! Her lectures is very passionate and she will engage with you directly if you ask a question or show interest. Some may mistake this passion for being "mean" but she couldn't be further from that. If you enjoy learning and don't mind putting in the hard work, then you'll love Professor Xhabli!
I hit the jackpot with this professor. Had the best experience and actually learned a lot of math in just one month. She teaches with a lot of enthusiasm and she is very organized, gives you all you need to do, and checks upon you by sending reminders or heads up to the upcoming assignments. Would take her again.
Professor Xhabli is great at teaching. She cares for her students and ensures everyone understands the material. The reviews that she provides for the exams cover exactly what's on the exams. She gives extra credit and provides a bunch of practice problems for the exams.
Her thick accent made it hard to understand the lecture material, and her skimming over the notes during class didn't help anyone either. Be prepared to spend most of your time learning by yourself on youtube and working on multiple quizzes and homework every week. The Lab quiz being due on material learned 2 days prior barely gave time to prepare
Dr.Xhabli is an outstanding teacher. She made Calculus 2 a breeze. She was very interactive and made the class a fun place to be. A lot of homework, but I think the amount of work helped me understand the concepts of Calculus 2 even better. Her organization skills are extraordinary which helped me be on track with everything and never fell behind.
Dr. Xhabli is a great professor. There are definitely some cons to taking her including her accent and the speed of the lecture. However, there are so many more pros than cons. There is extra credit, practice problems, and recorded lectures. The recorded lectures are the best thing so take advantage if you take her class. Beware of poppers.
Xhabli was a great professor but went through her lectures pretty fast. She has a heavy accent but answers any questions one may have. I already knew most of the work so I thought the class was easy. There's a lot of homework and quizzes but the exams were easy if you study the study guides.
Dr. Xhabli is very caring and she does the best she can so that her students succeed. Calc 2 is difficult and there is a lot of material, so she goes through it very fast. My advice is to not take notes during lecture and just focus on comprehending the topic, then go back later that day and fill in the notes (she posts them online after class).
Dr.Xhabli is one of the most organized asynchronous online professors I have had at UH. Her canvas site and all the course modules are well organized and the schedule is fixed so that you can pace yourself. Her lectures are really easy to follow through but the quizzes are one step harder than the poppers and homework. Exams are better than review.
Way too fast and never makes sense
She is good. People gonna hate because they can't do basic math. She is one of the best math UH professors.
There will be 4 weekly assignments and some extra credit opportunities like bonus homework or a practice test before a midterm. Her organization of Canvas is excellent. Overall, Xhabli's lectures are very fast, her accent, and suboptimal handwriting at times makes this course fairly difficult to follow along, so expect to self-study a lot.
Dr. Blerina's lectures are so fun and inspiring. She makes Calculus II look so easy and simple (Calculus II is a beast). I love the way of how she teaches: she begins with a warm up of what we have learned previuosly and build up the new lecture topic with examples and ideas rather than just stating them. Her organizational skills are top-notch.
This course has taught me a lot and has prepared me for future math courses. I thought I would be lost from the very beginning but all the material was very well organized and easy to understand. The teacher is really good at explaining and answers every question when asked. I would like her to be my professor for my other classes.
She is the best. She is so passionate about math and that is so cool. She is such a genuine person and wants you to succeed.
Dr. Xhabli is the most caring professor I have ever had. She goes above and beyond to ensure that you understand the concepts and make the lectures so fun. I love how she approaches math and makes it worth studying for. Lots of extra credit opportunities and nice reviews for the exams. Quoting her "If you put the effort, success shall follow you."
This isn't to bash the prof but I really hate how this course if so filled with 2-3 quizzes and 1 mulitple-page homework and lab quizzes to top it off every single week, when all you really have to do to pass the exams is just do the review problems the week before. Other than that, the prof is fast paced but not boring, and she cares abt students.
This was a course that allowed me to learn math in depth instead of memorizing formulas. Dr. Xhabli was really good at making difficult subjects seem easy by breaking it down to pieces that can easily be understood. She is very kind and quite fun when she teaches. One important advice: Attend every lecture to stay on track to enjoy the course.
Xhabli is the absolute goat. She made Calc II very manageable and paced the course well. Her lectures, quizzes, and homeworks were all plenty to prepare for exams. I never used the textbook or outside resources. Plenty of extra credit and dropped assignments. She is an angel on Earth.
Very unprofessional and not a good teacher.
Dr. Xhabli is very good at teaching Calculus II. After taking her class, I was amazed to see how simple math can be. She teaches you how to think and analyze critically rather than memorizing formulas. Learning math in her class has been the best experience ever. Besides this, she provides a lot of extra credits. Strongly recommend her.
Ms. Blerina is very knowledgeable and very understanding of her students. She knows how hard can be to keep up with deadlines and as such she has been flexible with them. She assigns bonus homeworks to help with homework grades and many more. She is the epitome of a great person and professor. Lucky to be her student. Would recommend 10/10.
Her lectures she takes way too many shortcuts meaning you dont actually learn how to solve things. Office hours are useless shes quiet rude. AVOID
Professor Xhabli was very kind and understanding throughout the entire semester. Her dedication to ensuring we all made it through her class successfully was motivating. She showed me how much of a difference it could make if a teacher cares about their students. She provides a weekly plan. If you follow it, you will succeed easily.
Calculus 2 was a hard course. I wish I had studied more. I want to praise Professor Xhabli for being a great professor. She did great on explaining why concepts make sense. I'm glad the homework was challenging and then the tests were not as challenging. It boosted my confidence. Her bonus homework assignments were an extra level of compassion.
The worst professor at UH for Discrete Math. She teaches really fast, and doesn't stop to make sure her students are following. She skips steps, so you literally have to go back and teach yourself everything learned in lecture. She's also SO rude. Passable, but be aware that you will be teaching yourself. If you have the chance, TAKE SOMEONE ELSE!
Professor Xhabli is a great teacher when it comes to explaining the concepts in discrete math. Some students may experience frustration if they don't have a solid background in prior required maths. This class takes dedication outside of class time to do well which is to expected of a college course. Overall a great and caring professor.
Dr. Xhabli provides a class plan at the beginning which shows the density of the course. She explains everything thoroughly and solves a lot of examples. I suggest to not take notes while she teaches because she provides the filled in notes of the lecture. Do not skip classes and practice every day before lecture. Then you will do great.
I took Calculus 2 with another professor and failed the course. With Dr. Xhabli there is no window for failing if you do your part. She provides all the needed resources in abundance. Everything is so organized so you always know what to do next. Her online weekly review sessions are the best to catch up if you fall behind. Would take her again.
She is the best Calculus II professor ever.
Dr. Xhabli gives you all you need to pass her class but the practice will be the difficult part. The test reviews are everything you could want in a review. She drops many assignments at the end of the semester for a nice grade boost.
Dr. Xhabli is awesome. She has a deep knowledge in the subject and breaks it down in pieces easy to understand. She follows the textbook and her lecture slides are a good reflection of the concepts. Attend every lecture, every day you learn something new. Go to her office hours to get all the help you need. I enjoyed this class and learned a lot.
She is the best professor you can have for online Calculus II. She set high expectations and helps you along the way to maintain such expectations. Super organized and she might have the best CANVAS course setup ever. Her weekly live reviews are a good recap to start the week. She wants you to learn and she wants you to succeed. Would take again.
If you really want to learn discrete, she is one of the best prof you can have for it.
Dr. Xhabli is a great professor. She cares about your success and helps you along the way. Attend every lecture, and do those quizzes on time. Then you will have no problem to get an A. I am taking her for discrete this semester. Hope next year she teaches some other class besides calculus and discrete.
Discrete Math is very different from other math classes. It goes very abstract and you do actual proofs. At the beginning it looks impossible but following Dr. Xhabli s teaching guides you become a pro in proofs. I enjoyed it a lot and I feel so prepared for my other classes in computer science. This is real math, and good food for thoughts.
She is super organized, you never feel lost in her class. She is caring, you will get regular emails from her about the progress of the course and how to keep up with. Her teaching skills are the best, you have up to two prerecorded lecture videos to watch and you have a live review session of these topics following week. Great professor overall.
Blerina Xhabli's Discrete Math is the worst class I ever took at UH. This class is utterly useless and she rushed through content. The concepts are borderline fictitious and is a disgrace to the field of mathematics: its fake math. If you try to question her grading for exams, she will take off more points. Was considering Math major, not any more.
Dr. Xhabli is literally the best professor I have had at UH. She explains everything in detail and slows down to make sure that everyone is able to follow along. There are weekly homeworks which are challenging at times but you can get help during her office hours. The exams are exactly from homeworks or in-class lecures and include extra credit.
I took Dr. Xhabli last semester and I am glad I did. I have learned so much math in a semester that surpasses everything learned previously. I felt like everything learned before were only calculations and memorization. This class is a must if you want to see how real math works. It feels difficult and challenging at times, but it is very logical.
do NOT take her for calc2. her accent is so strong, she can't speak english properly which makes it hard to understand. but most importantly, she can't teach. she does everything as if we already know how to. she needs to learn how to break it down and teach us step by step instead of doing it as if we all know already.
Dr. Xhabli speaks fast (that is why I gave her 4 stars), but you get used to it. Her accent is not a problem. She explains everything clearly and solves a lot of problems. She does not waste time on algebra calculations (she has a built-in calculator in her brain - I suppose). Some students see it as a problem, I loved it.
Dr. Xhabli is my favorite professor this semester. Her class is fun and very interesting to attend. Even though she speaks fast, she is very clear and concise. She explains everything in detail and also provides excellent test review sessions. Above all, she cares about you more than you care about yourself. Wish all my professors were like her.
Really does not care about her students, doesn't understand the meaning behind responding to an email and is super passive aggressive when she does respond to emails about extensions. Basically runs out of class everyday too, really disliked her and I do not recommend. She can barely teach too.
Ms. Blerina is a great teacher. All the homework and quizzes prepare you well for the exams. They are challenging at times. But the exams are very straightforward and she has excellent review sessions. During her reviews, she makes each chapter look like the best thing you have ever learned. Lots of extra credit are provided. So glad I took her.
I took Dr. Xhabli last semester for Calculus II and I loved every lecture of hers. There is something new you learn every day in her class, either be a new topic or some witty algebraic skill. Now I am taking her for Discrete Math. This class is more challenging, but attending every lecture helped me a lot to understand everything. She is the best.
Best prof for calc2 imo. Reopens quizzes if you missed/did bad on a few. Bonus hw if you missed one (10 hw's in total). She makes it clear what's on the test for FRQ in live session. Final exam can replace one previous test grade. Tough subject. Lot of work, but you have mulitple opportunities to make that academic comeback, my kings and queens.
Lectures were good at helping me understand. Same amount of quizzes and homeworks as Calc 1.
SHE'S AMAZING. Her teaching style wasn't my favorite, but she more than makes up for it with how lenient she is. If you miss a quiz or do badly on a homework, there is ALWAYS a chance to cover that. Email her about it and there's a 99% chance she'll let you take the quiz again. 10/10 recommend for calc 2.
Dr.Xhabli is an excellent professor who shows genuine care to her students. It was a pleasure to attend her lectures because she presented the material in a matter that was easy to grasp which most STEM courses don't do. I will highly recommend her to anyone taking calculus in the future. She records every lecture which helps to review later.
Good professor, covers material quickly but the recorded lectures and the slides being posted after class make up for it. Taking her for Discrete Math next semester.
Best difficult teacher of all time. She does not give out any test reviews and she is strict on poppers for absolutely no reason. 10/10 would take again to have a miserable life.
She is the best. Everything about this professor is amazing: great lectures, lots of resources, amazing test reviews, extra credit opportunities, and flexible availability. One of the best courses I have taken at UH despite being online.
Not caring at all, very rude, never take this professor
She's a quick speaker, and can be rather blunt with questions, but is overall a good professor. She has popper attendance where you have to pay attention to get the answers for 'em. Homeworks have clear deadlines (W, Th, S) and aren't too bad. She gives out PLENTY of extra credit opportunities (~8 points) so I suggest doing them.
She is really good making an online class feel like a real class where you learn more that you could ever imagine. She is very committed to her profession. Her passion and love for math is contagious.
She gives out so many extra credit opportunities and drops certain low grades on assignments. It'll be hard to fail her classes if you study.
Take her online , not in person. She cannot teach at all in person even if her life depends on it. Her online vids are helpful bc she's more straightforward and clear when she's recording. I cannot understand a single word in in-person lectures. She's very rude in emails. Her TA ( forgot his name ), doesn't give any partial credit in FRQ'S :(
Great prof! took her online but she provides so many resources (watch the popper videos!!) and it didn't feel like i was missing out. I really wish she taught calc 3
Overall, having Pr. Xhabli was a good way to finish Calc 2. Considering how everyone belives it to be very difficult out of the 3. Taking Calc 2 with this Professor was the best decision I could have made. Gives A ton!!! of extra credit if you just do your part in class, work hard, and ace the exams
Dr. Xhabli was phenomenal. I followed the plan she provides in the syllabus and neither felt rushed nor fell behind. In fact, it helped me to stay on top of everything including my other classes. She sent regular reminders through email and announcements in CANVAS. Would take again for sure.
Dr. Xhabli is an amazing professor. She is very caring and provides a lot of resources for the students. Her lecture videos are very informative yet lengthy since she covers every detail you need to know about the topic. This is my first math class for which I didn't have to go to youtube to understand the topic. Also her TAs are as good as her.
Dr. Xhabli is amazing. I was never good at math but i got an A in calculus 2 cuz of her. Her test reviews are amazing it literally covers everything from the exam. Very clear lectures. She's understanding and caring, gives extensions for quizzes. I recommend practicing questions from her in class review over and over to ace the exams.
Xhabli is an exceptional professor who genuinely sets you up for success. She provides everything you need, and more,to excel in her class. Some classmates have complained, but that's often due to a lack of effort on their part. She doesn't give out grades easily you have to earn them but if you're willing to put in the work, you'll definitely do well
Dr. Xhabli is an engaging professor who makes Calc 2 manageable. Her lectures are thorough, and the recorded videos are super helpful. Unstuckstudy AI was a lifesaver for practice problems. Overall, a solid class if you stay on top of the work.
I took her in the summer online for calc 2, it's a hard class but she made it very simple and thoroughly explained each chapter, and had review videos that correlated exactly to the the exam. she was very understanding, caring, responsive and even had extra credit. i would recommend her to everyone taking this class.
I just cannot stand the fact that she does the math in her head. We arent at the same math level as you Dr. It gets hard to follow when she does this. Other than that, if you stay on top of all the assignments that you get. You should be fine. And there are a LOT of assignments every week.
I love Dr. Xhabli's weekly review sessions. She goes through the most important aspects of the topics we learn and gives a lot of good examples. The workload is really heavy but she has scheduled them perfectly to not feel overwhelmed. For test reviews, I just watch her review sessions, do the bonus homework and practice test. That is all you need.
She is great for Calculus 2. Lots of homework and quizzes but that is not necessarily a bad thing because it all matters in the end for the tests and will give bonus homework to make up low homework grades. She also gives great reviews that actually help for the tests. I hear she is not as great in-person as she is online but I am not sure.
She is the best. I used to not like math in general but calculus 2 is my favorite because of her. She teaches you how to think properly and logically in math - this is why I love math now. She is very caring and her lecturrs are so much fun. It is rare to see such passionate professors. Strongly recommend.
Dr. Xhabli is awesome. Do not miss her lectures - everyday you will learn something new that will make you understand the concepts even better. Any questions I get stuck with will somehow be explained in the next lecture. She is like a mind-reader. She provides great lecture notes and her test reviews are spectacular. It can't get any better 100/10
I'm here to brag about Dr. Xhabli - she is the G.O.A.T.! She teaches with such ease that you feel completely comfortable asking questions. She provides plenty of resources to help you succeed, and her lectures cover many of the types of questions that appear on exams. If you attend class and stay focused, there's no reason not to earn an A!
She knows the material too well. She absolutely FLIES through lessons and problems, skipping this one and that one as she pleases, telling us to do it and later and then following it up by calling us lazy if we haven't already attempted the quiz that's due in 2 days. Horrific teaching style in my opinion currently taking her never taking her again
She is very caring and sweet. In general all quizzes are due one week after the topic is covered. She allows extra time as needed. She solves many examples in class and she records the solutions of the examples that she skips. She always includes exam-like questions in her popper slides thus I am fine if she skips some examples from the lecture.
I am taking her online. She has prerecorded lecture videos and maintains live review sessions every Monday, which are the highlight of this course. Everything I need to know is summarized in these live sessions. For help on quizzes and homeworks, you have lab sessions with a TA. This has been the easiest math class ever.
Overall she is a good professor. She does speak fast which might be a problem for some, but she records the sessions which helps to go back and review the lecture at your own pace. She always sends email reminders about finishing the quizzes before coming to the next lecture. This has helped me stay on top of assignments and doing great so far.
I really appreciated how the content was delivered and the way the course was organized. The review sessions, test review worksheet, and practice tests really helped prepare students for exams. Overall a high quality course!
I got a C+ in Calculus 1 and was nervous about Calculus 2 after a year off. However, Professor Xhabli made a huge difference with extra credit, make-up opportunities, and lecture examples applicable to exams. By studying her videos and reviews, I've earned all A's on exams so far. Highly recommend her for Calculus 2!
She is an amazing teacher, and I wish I could take her next year for calculus 3. Her online class is extremely well organized and has lots of practice integrated into her lectures. There is a weekly written homework assignment and quiz that are graded generously by TA's. Her Monday reviews on teams are the best. There is 5pt bonus for every test.
Dr. Xhabli is pretty good. Her lectures are pretty fast cause she teaches fast and doesn't really leave room for further explanation. Other than that, she provides enough resources and extra credit to get through all of the assignments and enough material to study and prepare for the exam.
She is a great professor that literally cares about her students. Her canvas page is exemplary that keeps you on track with the course progress and assignments. She challenges you through homework and quizzes. The exams are very straightforward and they feel so much easier than everything else. Her lectures are the best part of the course. 100/10
Dr. Xhabli was a fantastic start for myself as a transfer student. I was very hesitant of taking Calculus 2 at UH as I assumed I would not be able to keep up but Dr. Xhabli is an extremely caring professor. Her quizzes and homeworks can definitely be tough but it's the best preparation for the exams. It was challenging but possible with her!
Dr. Xhabli was truly a wonderful professor who seems to genuinely care about her students. It's a work heavy class but that makes sense because it's 4 credits but Xhabli gives soo many resources to ensure your success. If you keep up with the work there is no reason for you to not get an A, practice tests are very similar to the actual exam
Initially did not like her because her 50 minute lectures force her to go really quickly, but she's genuinely a great professor! She gives a lot of work out to prepare you for the exams, and it works great! She offers fair extra credit and the TAs and her help you do well in the class if you put in the work.
she cares so much about her students. i was scared of calc 2, but with her teaching it, it was so manageable. there were a lot of quizzes and hw, but it was all for a good cause. she gives out so many resources to her students. if you truly put the time in, you will get an A. take her, please.
Dr.Xhabli is the best professor I have had for mathematics. She is precise with her teaching and offers various sources for her students to succeed. There are weekly quizzes and homework assignments, however this work prepares you well for the exams. Additionally, she gives you plenty of opportunities to earn extra credit. I highly recommend her!
I ABSOLUTELY recommend taking Dr. Xhabli for Calc 2 online. She really wants her students to succeed and makes even difficult topics seem simple. If you go to to her office hours, she can make even the hardest questions easy. Her review sessions are INSANELY helpful in preparing for exams and I'm sure you'll get a letter grade higher by taking her.
If you're considering Dr. Xhabli for online Calc 2, go for it; you won't be disappointed. She is dedicated to her student's success and thoroughly explains all of her lessons. If you have questions, the TA is always available to assist you. Her review sessions are incredibly beneficial for exam preparation, and she offers extra credit for the exams
This the best professor for Cal 2 especially for online. There is a ton of homework and quizzes and the lecture videos are long. Theres something due almost every day. Review sessions are SUPER important for tests. Extra credit assignments are long but huge help. TAs are the best source for help. Keep up and do all the work and youll do well.
People complain that she's unorganized or her exams are hard, but it's the opposite. I paid attention for half the class and still understood the concepts. Her notes make everything easy. Do your homework and review examples, and you'll get an A. If you are one of the complainers, you likely don't pay attention or practice, so you'll probably fail.
Dr. Xhabli is very passionate about teaching and makes the class a fun place to be. She talks very fast yet she will always answer any question you ask. Make sure you attend the labs regularly to get help on quizzes and homeworks. Tests are not difficult. If you attend all lectures, you will see typical old exam questions for every topic. Take her.
Dr. Xhabli was amazing. There is lots of homework for this class, but she was very understanding, and gave enough time to complete it in case we fell behind. The lab for this class was also very helpful, since sometimes she went too fast on certain topics; but for a hard subject, she truly made it easier.
She is horrible rushes every lecture…and speaks so fast to the point you can't even keep up with her. She has an accent and expects you to just know the problems without her teaching. Take another professor idk how she is rated this high. Does poppers in the class instead of trying to teach more example problems.
Great professor! I initially thought it was incredibly difficult workload, however after the first exam I realized I was incredibly well prepared. She gives students the correct opportunities to succeed and learn. Keep up with the lectures and assignments and you will do great.
Xhabli was one of the professors that took the time to help students learn a hard material such as calculus 2. She made me prepared for every exam and going in with confidence. The only con is that she talks a bit fast but if you pay attention rather than writing everything down, then there is no issue. Everything else was great.
Professor Xhabli is a kind caring person, she makes the hardest calculus class aceable with alot of extra credit opportunities, and she goes over problems which are on the test. Take her if you can!
Amazing professor. I took her online. As long as you watch her lecutre videos, take notes, and practice the quizzes you will ace this class. The quizzes are significantly harder than the test, which let you truly master the content, and breeeze through the test. Also tons of extra credit, she truly cares, and wants everyone to ace her course.
Choosing Dr. Xhabli for Calculus II has been my best decision so far. She has exceeded my expectations in every way: her explanations are clear and efficient, she makes math engaging, and she brings her own curiosity to the lectures. She's truly amazing. She prepares you to excel and earn As on all your assignments. Plus, she's genuinely beautiful.
You HAVE to watch the videos and take notes (this is very essential for this class because if you do so, the rest of the work is easy). I'd say try to get the max points you can get from the HW and the quizzes and earn the extra points. The exams are very easy if you do the HW and quiz. The exams are easier than the practice exams, quizzes and hws.
Best calculus teacher I have ever had, she actually wants us to get good grades and provides us with an abundance of resources to do so. Attend lectures/labs and you will be fine, she loves her students. Reviews and Practice tests that she provides are great help.
She is an amazing professor who does everything in her power to help with much extra credit, many online videos, pushed back quiz dates for extra studying. all around amazing professor.
She is amazing and extraordinary. I never missed any lecture. I payed attention to everything and I took notes of the different popper problems she included in her lectures and it really made a difference in exams. Her explanations are so good I never felt the need to use YouTube or else. I have learned so much in such an easy entertaining way.
Professor Xhabli is an amazing professor for both MATH 2414 and 2305. Her lectures are very in depth, and goes through the exact process you will need for the exams and their questions. Often, she gives questions away for MATH 2305 exam! As long as you pay attention in class, occasionally go to her office hours and study you will be completely fine
G.O.A.T., nothing else to add. UH should give her a good raise.
Xhabli is the BEST professor you could take for Calculus II. She goes super indepth with her lectures and is extremely passionate about teaching. Would 100% take her again.
She gave a lot of quizzes, homework, poppers, and lecture videos but only because she cares. Her exams were almost identical to the practice exams and she offers a lot of review sessions and practice. A lot of times she reopened assignments for extra practice or for those that forgot to complete it.
Xhabli was amazing this semester. She made Calculus II very manageable. The workload is heavy but if you follow the plan she prepares for you, it feels like a feather literally. She sent frequent motivational emails which was such a delight to see. Her exam review sessions were the cherry on top. The best math class ever at UH because of her.
Amazing professor, very kind and caring. She made Calculus II feel like one of the easiest math classes I have taken.
Best Calculus II Professor at UH. I loved that she did not focus on algebraic work but on the theory side of the topics. It made me appreciate math even more. By understanding the concepts, you never forget how to solve a problem. It was a game changer for me as I used to memorize everything, but here I learned how to understand math.
It is a privilege to be in her class. For real, some UH professors are so humble and so knowledgeable, they do everything to see you succeed. She is one of them. The best class I took this semester.
I had heard good things about Xhabli so I took her class and I am glad I did. She goes above and beyond to break down challenging concepts into small pieces easy to understand. Everything builds up like a puzzle and it's beautiful when puzzle is complete. I have a deep appreciation for math now. I feel ready for what comes next in Computer Science.
Awesome professor, her lecture notes and exam reviews were outstanding. The coursework was heavy, but she kept everything really well organized so it never felt overwhelming, and she always sent reminders to help us stay on top of things. Honestly, she cared about us more than we cared about ourselves!
Dr. Xhabli is really sweet, she cares about her students and offers so much extra credit, lowest quiz and hw are dropped, and the final replaces lowest test. However she goes over the material really fast in her in-person lectures. I suggest taking her online, her online lectures helped so much, watch her reviews they're very helpful for the test.
Pretty easy class but she did not respond to a single email I sent even after i double emailed. TA also grades really weirdly and takes point off for the most random things on homeworks. Long lectures.
I had her for both Calculus 2 and Discrete math. People say Calculus 2 is the hardest because they don't know until they see Discrete Math. Dr. Xhabli made Calculus 2 look very easy. Quizzes and homeworks are challenging but the tests are exactly like problems in lecture notes and in her class reviews. I loved Discrete and she teaches it very well.
She is the best, most caring and most respected professor ever. Loved going to her class. Everyone would stop talking once she started lecturing. She knew how to keep the class quiet and engaged in the lecture. If you attend every lecture and practice afterwards, you are already getting ready for your exams. I never had to study extra for the exams
She is the most organized professor at UH. You know what to expect every day since day one. Her recorded lecture videos are well-done, they cover the topics in detail and have enough examples to help with assignments. For more help, she keeps weekly live sessions (which are the best part of the course) and her TA is available twice a week. Loved it
She is a favorite among instructors who teach Calculus II. I had Almus for Calculus I. Both instructors are very good, have similar teaching style and care a lot about your success. I liked Xhabli a little more as I found her lectures more engaging. Calculus II is a different level of math and Xhabli delivers it diligently. Would take again.
Dr. Xhabli is simply the best. Her lectures are very clear, homeworks give you all the practice you need to master the concept. A lot of homework problems are solved in lecture notes. Exams are a repetition of what you see in lectures and homeworks. There is no surprise. It is an easy A, if you put the efforts to learn.
Although I took this class asynchronously, I never felt behind because there were amazing lecture videos for each chapter and a live review session every Monday. Overall, if you pay attention to the lecture, do the homework and practice tests, and go over the exam reviews, this class should be an easy A.
Professor was very caring and her lectures were easy to follow. Her and her TA were also very helpful in prepping us for homework, quizzes, and tests.
Caring professor, she provides plenty of resources to her students so they can succeed. Calculus is a difficult subject, but as long as you watch her videos and use the practice exams from previous years, you should be good. Keep in mind, the final was slightly more difficult.
Dr. Xhabli is amazing! She is such a good math professor and she cares about you a lot! Her lectures are engaging, she wants your participation and attendance is needed. She will care a lot about you, but only if you care about her class and put the effort in. Go to her office hours, she gives back points + tons of extra credit. Take her!
Fantastic and knowledgeable professor; drops 2 HWs and 2-3 attendances, final replaces lowest exam, exams total 110 pts, preps CS majors for future classes, offers office visits and TA tutorials, but speaks fast and can be inconsistent with due dates depending on the situation. Course was challenging but not difficult. Highly recommend!
This was the best online course I have taken. Dr. Xhabli should give tutorials to all other professors about CANVAS structure and student engagement. Everything is organized weekly and you know what to expect from day one. Calculus II is a difficult course, but an amazing professor makes all the difference. She did it feel like the easiest class.
W professor!!!
To begin with, she responds to emails in a very blunt, no-nonsense way. She does not round grades and her teaching is difficult to understand. You're better off taking a different professor for this class. Her lectures do not match the content on the exams either. You're better off taking Almus.
Calculus 2 never felt easier. She explains very thoroughly and gives a lot of practice problems through homework and live review sessions. It is a heavy workload but very manageable if you follow the plan she has designed. Very flexible with the deadlines when needed. I took every test feeling confidently prepared and aced all of them. 10/10
Best Calculus II Professor ever. I took her class with low expectations and it turned out to be the best math class I have taken despite being summer. She is very caring, she works with you toward your success. I thought math was not my thing, but with the right teacher, math became my favorite. Thank you for everything Dr. Xhabli.
Her CANVAS was super organized, but her videos were eh. I feel like the content covered in the videos didn't match the exam and my friends told me she doesn't round up so.
She was great. Everything was clear from day 1. Lectures were given through one-hour videos; they were decent and covered the basics of each section. Live reviews were top notch; they helped with assignments and getting ready for the exams. All exams were similar to practice tests and live reviews. Do everything on time and A is yours for sure.
Lowkey I can't even hear her in her videos that well. :(
Great professor.
Man I have no idea why her rating is so high, speaks kinda bad english, and although she does care about the subject and teaches with enthusiasm... man I'll be honest I just used the textbook because I could not understand a single thing she was talking about in that class. Maybe because i took it early in the morning but man i couldnt do it again.
Her lectures are fine, but her lab section 104 TA is very hard to understand. horrible handwriting and skims over practice problems. Ask a question to the TA and expect to get dismissed or get an incoherent response that leaves you even more confused
She talks very fast, but she explains topics very well. She has an accent which is very distinct - not everyone will like it. It is very understandable and kind of cute. It adds to her character. She is very nice, always smiling and ready to help. Her pros weigh more than her cons. I am glad I took her.
Great teacher and good course structure. Conceptualizes and simplifies really well, with exceptional pacing.
really good professor her reviews are similar to the exam.
My friend recommended to choose Dr. Xhabli for calculus II - the best decision of my life. She has taught me so much that I apply her principles to other classes and it has been awesome. She is my inspiration as a teacher. Her knowledge and love for math is captivating. I just love going to her class. I will take her discrete class next semester.
She is the GOAT. She is good at explaining the topics, she is good at pacing, she is good at paying attention to students' needs, she is good at everything man. Her reviews are very helpful. She goes through everything and beyond. If you go to lectures regularly and keep track of her poppers, you are building a good resource of exam-like questions.
Amazing professor who really loves her job. She gives everything and it shows. The best part is her emails which are very good-spirited and motivational. She has a genuine heart and cares for your success. Everything is on her CANVAS page, the best organized course ever. I had an amazing time. Thank you Dr. Xhabli, never change.
I hit the jackpot with Dr. Xhabli. She is the best professor ever. She just cares a lot about you. Her lectures are never boring, very intuitive and lots of practice provided in just 50 minutes. She makes it happen man. The test reviews are another level of professionalism. She reviews each chapter with passion and easiness. She is just amazing.
I am not good at math whatsoever, but Professor Xhabli made me feel so confident in my abilities to do well in a math course. She provides lots of lecture material and test review material and even extra credit. I would recommend anyone taking Calc 2 to have this professor, stay on top of lectures, and go to the lab sessions for help.
Homework/quiz/popper due every other day, in the middle of the week. Defeats the purpose of the class being asynchronous tbh if I have to sit through a lecture every other day for a grade.. when it's asynchronous. The class itself is not bad, I'd take her again, but if you're taking it cause it's asynchronous, get ready to be doing some syncing lol
The asynchronous class with Dr. Xhabli was amazing. You know what to expect since day one, and everything shows up in weekly modules that highlight your weekly load. The weekly load was very manageable. Being asynchronous gives you flexibility, and the work load was to be expected. Yet the instructor was always gracious with extensions when needed.
Just took my final exam and came here to let you know that I couldn't have done without her. Took her advice literally: her study strategies along with my efforts put into action lead me to a perfect multiple choice score. I went in confidently, took a good sleep every day and it paid off. I am doing better in my other classes too. I am grateful.
She is my favorite professor at UH. She is very good at teaching, she is very good at preparing you for exams, she is very good at literally everything. She cares for you more than you care for yourself fr. She loves her job and it shows. Her passion for math is contagious. I loved being in her class.
You can clearly tell she cares about her students success. If you're doing online anytime please please watch the lecture videos since it might be hard to understand the material using other methods. Tests are usually easier than the reviews she gives so if you do them you're set. She's good!
Very easy class. 85% of your grade is composed of test which include 3 midterms and 1 test. Overall super easy class. If you can manage to do the quizzes and hw on your own, you should be on track for a very easy A.
