She is , GREAT. The coolest english teacher eveer. Grades are based on essays, and she helps everystudent soo much, its like , she is the best english teacher ever.but u have to show up to class everyday, work and do the homework readings.

she was such a laid back teacher and very easy. her essays were easy and if you dont get it she would help you. all you have to do is keep up with your weekly readings and take her quizzes.theyre easy. i recommend her.

Yeah even though she failled me! She was achill teacher who gave me every opportunity to make up my essays and my missing assignments. So i guess it's my fault i failled. SHe does give easy homework and is willing to help you out if you need the extra help. so yeah definetly take her -k-

I was so encouraged and excited to become an English teacher after I took her class. She is enthusiastic about English and it is infectious! She gives alot of quizzes, but if you read and show up you are in good shape.Her tests were fair and essays were thought-provoking! Take her!

Blythe is so awesome. I love that she bases her class on pop culture because almost anybody can keep up with it. Just do the reading and participate in class and you'll do fine. She's a very unique individual and has a great sense of humor.

Readings are not long and quizzes are easy if you do the readings. There are 5 essays; she focuses more on the ideas instead of all the grammar and technicality. TAKE HER CLASS!!!

Ms. Tellefsen is so funny and so intelligent. She doesn't mind laughing at herself and at jokes made by the class. She makes paper topics fun, and doesn't expect TOO much out of students. However, there is homework due and quizzes on reading every class time.

An very intelligent woman who expects that if you take a class that you will participate and make an effort to do your best. Fair/easy grades on essays - although she expects solid basic literary analysis (take ENG102 first if this is a weak area for you, whether you take Blythe or not). Class is tons of fun, and the discussions hilarious.

she was very helpful, but she seemed to be a hard grader. in english 60 i was getting Bs on all my essays. and in when i took her i could barely get a C on my essays. my dad looked over my essays and told me it should be a B not a C. but her lectures were pretty good and very entertaining.

One of the best professors on campus.U have to earn an A but its by no means impossible.A strong writer should have no problem in her class.If your not,there is plenty of extra credit.Do the reading,there is a quiz almost every day(LOTS of points, very simple).U will pick up important skills for college writing in her class.

Blythe is passionate about her subject, she is fun, interesting and easy going. This is not a cake walk class, she is tough on grading and definately keep all your papers, she does miss place things. Writing topics are fun and challenging... Enjoy her!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fun teacher! Made you want to go to class!! All of her paper topics are fun and interesting! Its not hard to get a good grade in her class if you put forth the effort. No reading novels--just short interesting essays and VERY Simple quizzes. I reccomend her if you want to learn! You will definately leave a better writer!

She is an amazing teacher, she makes you want to attend her classes. She is a very unorthodox teacher in the sense that she has a tendency to go off into wild (yet funny) tangents. Her essay topics are interesting (beats the BS advertising analysis that everyone else does). Hard grader, I suggest you take this if you don't mind getting a B.

I had this teacher for summer and she was pretty easy. we had quizzes every other day and as long as you read the material you'll do fine. she wants to make sure that you fully know what you are doing in class and if you want to be on her good side, buy her a hot starbucks drink in the morning. there was only 1 inclass essay and 5 home essays!

Well I'm not going to lie: she's not the professor to take if you want to indulge in serious academic rigor and challenging coursework (in my experience w/ 100). However, Blythe helps to open up the fun/creative side to writing and literature. Take her if you're self-motivated, or if writing isn't your forte at all (she makes it less stressful) =D

This was the most interesting and funny class I've taken on American Literature yet. I'm shocked at the statements made below. Any topic that seemed inappropriate was pulled directly from the text, so I suppose that just means American Lit is controversial. She is prob in my top 2 English Prof at Fullerton. Take, her. You can't lose.

She is seriously my favorite teacher ever. i ended up dropping the class because i was lazy and missed 2 papers so i had no chance at passing, so i'm taking her again and wouldn't take anyone else instead. She does have a strange laugh, but she's frickin funny as hell...she's the best

she is one of the best professors at fullerton college. you will learn so much and have lots of fun. she is so funny and easy to talk to. you write 4 essays and 1 research paper but theyre not as bad as they sound. quizzes on the reading but they are ridiculously easy. and if everyone gets 100% on them for a week straight, you stop taking them! <3

One of the best teachers on campus. I loved her class. Even though I'm a great writer, I hate writing essays. We have 5 of them in class. They were not all that bad. Dr. Tellefsen is pretty funny. She has many stories to tell about her family and childhood. In English 100 we had 5 essays which are pretty easy. Don't miss any essays b/c you will not pass the class! shes a little hard on grading but it's nothing to worry about. She does give xtra credit towards the end. I would recommend her.

Dr. Tellefsen may seem rather erratic and disorganized on the outside,but she is actually very particular about what she wants from her students. Jus 5 essays thru the semester but you will treat them like research papers. Dont take her class if ur complacent, she will only confuse u. Do take her class if ur n2 music, movies n slapstick intellect.

Her energy and sense of humor is so infusing and fun! She's found her niche with teaching as she really cares and she's good at what she does. I loved her class and would take another from her.

Tellefsen is a pretty cool teacher. She is funny and makes class interesting. She knows what she wants from her students and actually cares. The class focuses on popular culture. There are 5 essays. A quiz each class period, SUPER EASY. Several 2-page freewrites, easy as well. I recommend taking her. :)

5 essays through out the course and really concentrate on giving a lot of evidence to support your topic and that is what she mainly looks for that you provide a good argument and are able to give evidence to support it. She is extremely entertaining and for the students who believe that she is too crude, well they need to lighten up.

Took her during a 7 a.m. class yet nobody complained about having it been boring. Five essays they're not that hard. you have to work for your grade though you can't miss any of the papers or else you fail. quizes on the reading the next day but the readings are quite entertaining. overall she's pretty cool alot of the people like her. take her.!

Her class is easy and she makes learning a boring subject fun. There were times when I would get frustrated trying to learn and she would constantly go off on tangents. Overall she's a great teacher but needs to not talk so much

She is a very nice instructor. She is super funny as well. There is never a dull moment in her class. She doesnt grade to hard. The essays are on relationships,directors,music,subculture,and on the Novel we read. They are pretty easy and you talk about who you want. There isnt much work so make sure you dont miss anything. I wish she taught every English class available at Fullerton. It's impossible to get bored in her class. Her essays are easy if you ASK QUESTIONS. She makes the prompts clear, but she's always available to make you a better writer. She goes on rants and consumes the class time with her funny stories. I'd recommend her if you love pop culture.

Great English teacher. Highly recommend. There is some work but that is college!! You are there to work!! You write about 5 essays throughout the whole semester but they are relatively easy because they are on relationships, music, movies, sub-cultures(metal heads, emos, etc.) and a book we read in class. There is never a dull moment in the class.

She is an amazing English teacher. She is super helpful in class and during her office hours. I have taken her for 100, 104, and 222 all of which I was challenged and learned new things. 100 5 papers on pop culture topics, 104 was tough, but it a lot of fun and 222, a lot of reading, but its a lit. class what do you expect.

Decently easy class (I got an A), fun at times, although she can be very inappropriate (jokes, videos) though. She gets distracted rather quickly & strays off topic at times too. Besides that, shes a good teacher, really loves what she teaches, & she's really helpful. Took her Summer'11. Lots of work since it's crammed in 5 weeks, but overall easy.

I took her in english summer 11' class. Can be funny and REALLY OUTSPOKEN at times which is cool. Her papers are simple and straightforward, and if you are good at writing, then you will pass the class easily. Honestly, she isn't just the best professor I've ever had but she's one of the best people I have ever met. She has such a big heart, she really really cares about her students. She takes time out of every class to make sure everyone is having a good day, she gives two opportunities for extra credit, he explains everything very well and I do not think I would be as good of a writer with out her. If you have a chance to take her do it!

This class is an easy A if you go to class every time and follow the readings. The readings aren't bad because she usually assigns interesting stuff. Highly reccomend if you want an easy A. Just remember, do the work(it's easy) and you'll get no less than a B.

Overall very easy and laid back class! Did give out homework regularly but very simple and quick. A lot of essays but very clear prompts. You do learn a lot but also a very fun class. She's funny (tries too hard sometimes) but she never gets mad! I would reccommend her to new students.

A GREAT English Class. Very straight forward on how she wants everything. 5 Papers and a few group presentations. Not Hard but, make sure you get together with a reliable group though! English 100 is so fun and easy with Tellefsen! She makes it so relatable. We had four essays. One on a book, one on movies, one on music, and one on groups. We got to pick our topics too! Its so much easier when it's something you're passionate about. Definitely take her. Especially if you're new in college. She's hilarious and is super helpful.

There will be a quiz almost at the beginning of every class, so be aware of it and heavy reading, but Mrs. Tellefsen is an excellent teacher for English 100 F.

Quiz is like a daily activity, but no major exams. If reading is an issue, don't take this teacher!

Tellefsen's class fills up super fast. Five papers but only four are counted. Prepare for a quiz on the reading every day. F&L is super easy to read, the other book consists of essays that are more difficult to decipher. As long as you show up you will pass, but their are group projects. As long as you make the effort and try she will pass you.

There is group work almost every day but it is super simple, if you do the work you almost always get full credit. There are 3 in class papers and 2 out of class. The homework is usually just a one or two page typed double-spaced response to a topic and full credit is almost always given. As long as you put the effort in it is easy to get an A or B

Prof. Tellesfen is pure awesomeness. Her Lectures? Amazing and keeps you interested in class! Overall? Her class, personality, homework, etc. A+++! We need more English professors like Ms. T! Blythe is an amazing teacher! She does like to ramble, but she often rambles about something that directly relates to the content of the class. Which in my case, helped me to remember it even though its been a year since I took Amer Lit 221 with her. She is very intelligent and witty. She can have too much wit at times haha however she is great!

I took Tellefsen Spring Semester and she was honestly amazing, if I could take her again I would. Shes understanding, outgoing, bubbly and cares about you. If you do the homework, which are short, and read the books given youll pass. 4 papers in total and there are quizzes given for the books you read but there are no exams. Highly recommend her!

Tellefsen is quite odd yet lovely, almost a young teenager in an older woman's body. I enjoyed her but the class material was not my cup of tea. Reading and talking about pop culture was dreadful but did make the essays really easy to write about. If you love movies, music, and culture then this is the class for you.

Blyth is a fun gal. She loves the reading material, especially modernism, and the discussions we had in class were fantastic. Even though it was 7 am, she kept the energy up. Group projects, but its just finding quotes and makes posters in class, easy peasy. Met some cool people and had great debates and analysis about the reading. Will miss

I never rate professors on here, so this is a big deal. I gotta say Dr Blythe is one of the best English teachers that I have taken. English is my hardest class to pass and she made this class so much fun. You write about pop culture related topics, so if you are not a good writer, she is a great start into strengthening your writing skills.

By far one of the greatest professors I ever had. Her happiness and energy is so contagious to the entire class. She is very lenient and a fair grader. She was even willing to wait a whole hour after class for me when I was late to finals day because of traffic. She is an extremely compassionate and caring professor and I strongly recommend her.

10/10 would take again. Textbook used, group projects in class, five major papers. Prof is extremely caring, funny, relatable, and connects with her students. If you have the chance, take her- you won't regret it.

I really enjoyed doing the essays because they were about things I actually enjoyed like music,movies, etc. there is quite a bit of reading but the books are really good! A truly wonderful professor! As this was my first semester in college she really made it fun and interesting despite how nervous I felt. Shes everything one can look for in a professor, shes caring , respected, and always shows that she wants her students to pass. However, what she primarily does is group projects , so please be aware of that!

Major paper due for every unit, I think 4 or 5. BE READY FOR GROUP PROJECTS! COVID happened, so we did 1-page answers to prompts about the text instead. READ WHAT IS ASSIGNED! Quiz questions can get very specific. Blythe has so many crazy life stories you'll never forget. Incredibly funny lectures! Will give you good help with the harder texts too.

Dr. Blythe is an AMAZING professor. She is hilarious, an amazing story-telling, and most of all will do all she can to help her students improve. I grew so much as a writer in the short time I spent in her class. She is so helpful, so do not be afraid to ask! All the topics we learn about are informative but also very fun. BEST PROF EVER

This class was all online and she offered zoom meetings for extra credit. There is a major paper for each section. This comes with another opportunity for extra points because you can get five points added onto your essay grade for peer editing. There is quite a few assignments each week but you can get full credit with minimal effort.

If you are bored in this class there might be something wrong with you. There is a handful of group presentations that you will keep doing so if you don't mind that you'll be fine. Missing class isn't recommended and will be working on something each time. Essays have a lot of freedom with them too. Homework can be a lot since readings can be long.
