Good Teahcer, Nice and very easy going. Class is pretty fun.
Fantastic prof, if you have a chance to take one of his classes do it. Bob has a passion for life, and he is able to translate that into his classes, and infuse it into his students. Far from the typical cynical philosophy prof!
Bob is not your typical prof- he reaches out to his students beyond the classroom. He has his heart in the right place and the sweetest disposition, which affects the whole class's atmosphere. Be prepared to learn more than facts and figures...
Defiantly an interesting class where you learn a lot more than just the material. This is a really easy class as well on the condition that you attend and make a some effort you are assured a 4.0
Very good teacher! I learned a lot from his class and he is very cool! Take him if you are interested in Philosophy.
Bob is so hot that sometimes it's hard to concentrate on his lectures...which are SUPERB!
Fantastic teacher. The man is a wellspring of information
super easy and an inspiration! his passion for life is contagious!! highly recommend him
This guy is hilarious!

One of the greatest teachers of all time... really

a great teacher who understands and makes you understand the concepts. If you want to earn a good grade, u gotta take it. minimum is a B.
A great teacher of our times. just as one teacher should be. always understands, always takes good care of the students. u can always go up to him for anything ... his personality made me change my major from computer science to Philosophy
Smart, funny, supportive. A leader that lead like Christ - he washed the feet of his appostles. I would follow him anywhere.
I love Bob! He is a great teacher. He is a little in his own world, but he is amazing to listen to. If you go to class and do the work you are going to get a good grade.
Awsome guy as a person, easy class, a little "out there" but very nice guy. I would love to take another of his classes :)
Bob is a great prof. He's absolutely wonderful. He made the class fun and educational. He's willing to stay after class and talk about the class with you. He doesn't require a heavy load of homework either....I had so much in this class and learned more in it than in any other class i've taken at KVCC.
I took his online class and it was such a good experience! He was so helpful and responded so quickly to my homework!
Easy. Awsome.
Really cool teacher who is very into what he does! class can be boring but its a pieace of cake.
What an awesome, positive person! I love this class so much.
Bob is a great teacher. I've known him personally for years. Stupid people find him boring, intellectuals can't stop talking to him. You can learn a lot from him. I sure have.
Bob is awesome. He has quite a history. I loved listening to his readings and his stories. Thanks to Bob, he really opened up my mind to idea's and knowledge i would have never thought of. He truly is quality. Got an A, just like everyone else in the class.
Easy class!
I love bob! =) very interesting!
Great teacher. I would say one of the best philosophy teachers out there. He really cares how well you do and will help you all the time. He just expects you to take the time and do the work. I would take his class again.
This class is a joke! He doesn't believe in tests so everyone gets an A. Don't even have to show up. He is really knowledgable and I actually went just to hear his stories.
More of a spiritual guide than anything else. One of my favorite profs ever.
He is an amazing teacher! He keeps his personal view out of the class room and lets us learn on our own. He is very helpful and understanding. He loves what he teaches and its easy to see.
Great teacher. This class was not hard but I learned a lot! Great teacher. Mr. Badra will really take the time to help you and talk with you. I took the web class and still learned a ton!
Great man, great class!
As a Lebanese laicized Catholic priest, Fr. Badra has a very balanced and deep understanding of both Western and Eastern philosophy. He can speak as authoritatively and clearly on eastern transcendentalism as on western existentialism. An excellent course!
Super easy!! Great summer course! In the summer, he makes an already easy class even easier! I took it online too which I highly reccomend!
He is an amazing person. I feel lucky to have taken his class. It really did awaken me to the world around me.
Badra was an amazing teacher!! I am going to take him again next semester. You learn SO much and it sticks with you. He is really into what he talks about and you can tell he loves teaching. You can talk to him and he will help a lot. And he is one of my favorite professors here.
Great teacher and all around great guy! There is quite a bit of writing in his class but it's not hard. He is always willing help. I wish him nothing but the best! Awesome professor.
Great Teacher. All he wants you to do is think! All the exams and finals are take-home and he gives you all the answers in class. Unfortunately, his lectures could be more interesting
took his web class was very fun very easy gives tests and exam at start of class so you have all term to work on them one 7 page paper but grades very easy great teacher would take more of his classes
It was hard to keep track of what he was saying at times but after a few weeks if you showed up and stayed awake you learned alot. He was a very sweet teacher and always wanted to help and I passed the class with a 4.0. Best teacher ever, I wish he taught all my classes, hands down.
Be prepared for deep thought. Mr. Badra is a wonderful teacher and a mindful person. His words are meaningful and inspiring. I would take any class from him in a heartbeat.
Ive taken almost all of Mr Badra's classes. For those that dislike him, they are student that dont think or are not open to differnt ideas. Mr. Badra is the best teacher I have ever had, because he makes you think and apply thought to your life. I have saved many of his quotes. He has lived an amazing life and I feel privileged to be taught by him.
Amazing teacher. Very kind and informative.
Bob is an incredibly kind and open-minded man. He emphasizes that an education should be about learning instead of deadlines and grades. He is easy to listen to and explains things very clearly. Learning from him was such a pleasure! His PHI 101 class consists of a midterm, 6 short "introspections", a final, and one long paper.
This guy is awesome! He makes you want to jump into the book and be in it. He makes it fun and easy. you state you're opinion, and as long as you use proper grammar, and back up your ideas you will pass with FLYING COLORS! like A+ kind of stuff here. Great teacher, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Amazing man.
Bob is very passionate about what he teaches. He is a very unique person and has much wisdom to be shared. If you actually want to learn, grow and become a better person in this world I would highly recommend taking his class. Very interesting. Light course load. Show up, have some passion and you will get an A.
He is a brilliant man and a fantastic philosopher but when it comes to teaching factual history, he over-words his lectures and unless you are a scholar it can be difficult to grasp the material well. He is VERY laid back and goes with the flow. We only had 2 assignments and we could turn them in whenever we wanted to.
Amazing teacher. Took the web course and assignments were given to you at the start and not due until the last day of the semester. Gives amazing insight with each assignment's grade.
Very easy, insightful class. Instructor cares about students & seeing them succeed.
He changed my life. Don't hesitate to take any of his classes. He cares so much about all his students. You have the whole semester to turn in your work, but I wouldn't recommend doing that! Do a little at a time, and you will be golden!
I love him. He is one of the few people in my life that has this vibe that warms your heart.
I took his summer online course. You have all semester to complete it, but I recommend doing a little at a time. He is an awesome instructor!!! If you try you will pass. :)
I absolutely loved his class. He is quite the brilliant man. At times he can be a little boring, but he is so kind, funny, and laid back. I highly recommend taking his class.
Mr. Badra is so smart. His lectures can get dry at times but if you talk to him one on one he just shines. He is my favorite teacher by far. I've had him for two clases so far and plan to take more with him. He's great. Plus, he helped tremendously when I needed it for another philosophy class
Professor Badra is a phenomenal professor. You can definitely learn a lot with him. Just keep up with the coursework and you'll receive an easy A.
Bob Badra is so nice and caring and is just a genuine man. He knows what he is talking about, he works with every student, and he gives you inspiration. I love philosophy but he makes me love it even more. You leave his class wondering about life and humanity. He gives almost no homework. If you need this class, you definitely need Badra!
Amazing teacher. Will either read to you or else you get films to watch. Gives you your test text at the beginning of the semester and it's not due until the last day of class. Pay attention! Bob has much to teach you, as long as you remain open.
He cares deeply for every one of his students and truly hopes that each of them gain something from his class. The mid-term and final are primarily open-ended questions based on passages in the book. (Any book edition will work.) Be prepared for the essay, min 10 pgs. P.S. It's worth making an effort to attend his end-of-term guided meditations.
Such a brilliant and passionate teacher! Best instructor I have ever had at KVCC. It is a very hard class, he will push you to your limits but you will feel like you are getting so much out of it and he will help you every step of the way if you ask! Plus I think he is hilarious
Bob is a true academic who has a passion for teaching. His Intro to Philosophy course was fascinating and I learned a lot about critical decision making. Be sure to attend every class session! Exams are in essay form so don't wait until the last minute to work on them. Phenomenal professor!
Great class, great teacher. Bob is an incredibly interesting and witty person, definitely keeps the discussion flowing when you're in a small discussion group like this. He could bring up questions that made me think of things in a different light, with better understanding. He is passionate about what he teaches, and he is very accessible.
If you have to take HUM 210, take it with him! His class consists of 2 exams and attendance. In class, he gives you everything you need to write your essays for the exams. Pretty easy if try. Go to class. Work hard. And you will get an A. His lectures are interesting too... Defiantly keeps them interesting.
I'm taking 4 classes with Professor Badra this semester and the workload is much lighter than a typical 12-credit-hour course load. Your grade is based on how thorough your responses are on the exam questions, which are all essay format. Plus he gives you all semester to work on them and turn it in as late as the last day of class.
If you're looking for some easy, light, flexible work load courses, take them with Bob! You won't regret it.
Bob is a very easygoing professor. He's very flexible when it comes to deadlines. As long as you put forth the effort on the exams and turn them in before the last day of class, you should get a very good grade.
There's no way you should be overwhelmed if you're taking 4-5 courses with him. Your grade is based on how well you answer the take home essay exam questions. As long as you make an effort into them, you should get a very good grade.
Awesome guy! Pretty cool teacher! If you can get him, take him! He's fun and easy going!
Excellent. He cares about making sure the students learn and understand the material. He knows his stuff without being in your face about it. However, some of his philosophical views are untenable. So be wary, praise notwithstanding.
Very understating and a great professor, if you're going to major in Philosophy, this is the guy you want to have as your teacher. I took four courses with him and all of his classes are easy and take a lot of effort on the take home exams to achieve a A. As he told me: "if you want a good grade and really want to understand the subject."
Bob Badra is one of the best professors I've had in college and I would take another class. He is super helpful and available during his office hours, however, this class covers difficult, complicated material. You need to read and go to class even though attendance isn't mandatory. This class was super easy and I definitely learned a lot!
He is passionate about his subject matter and it shows in his lectures. He always brings thoughtful discussion questions to probe our discussions. He makes sure that one person doesn't dominate the discussion and he makes all student input feel relevant, and is always willing to help his students succeed in his course.
He is by far the best professor I have ever had. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about his subject matter and has a perfect balance between lecturing and facilitating discussion. He brings in historical info, which is good for this particular class.
Best professor I've ever had. He was able to take a class with difficult and slightly boring material and made it interesting and enjoyable. He loves what he does and his enthusiasm is contagious.
Bob is a terrific professor and is always willing to help when needed. Granted most of the topics are boring but he does try to make it interesting. He has a great reading voice! As long as you do the five introspections, two exams, and research paper, you should be fine.
As a Philosophy major, I liked this class a lot. Bob Badra is a guy who LOVES what he is teaching and it is a bit infectious. He is so dorky it is endearing. You must do the everything to pass, but that should be done anyways. He expects students to do their work and so if you do it, you'll do well.
He's a really nice guy and is always willing to help. He's fair. I learned a lot from him. I enjoyed the class and would take another course with him.
One of the best professors I have ever had! Professor Badra is kind, helpful, and very passionate about literature. I recommend him 10 times out of 10.
The material is extremely difficult to understand for the average person, but I believe I learned some really useful info in this class. Bob is helpful and clear on instructions. This class is very reading intensive, and it takes effort to excel. I think he is a good professor.
have taken 2 classes with Professor Badra. I think he explains things very clearly in the syllabus at the beginning of the semester. This class has a lot of work but you can do everything at your own pace. If you choose to wait until the end of the semester, it will be hard on you. I was done with everything weeks before class ended.
Just go to class. The only time you really have to take notes is the class session before an exam. He tells you exactly what will appear on them, too. Funny and interesting professor. Highly recommended.
Great professor. Attendance is 25% of the grade which I think is easy. Exams are the rest where he tells you exactly what is on them. Entertaining and easy A.
Very entertaining and interesting. I'm talking about the subject AND the teacher. :) Go to class because he counts it as 25% of the overall grade and the other 75% was the 2 exams. I will be taking him again and strongly recommend him as a teacher.
Super cool guy, and very interesting and helpful!
Very interesting, informative, and enjoyable class!
Probably the best Philoosophy professor at KVCC. Bob's class has an easy going feel to it, while still being structured. His style of teaching is very laid back, but at the same time informative and EXTREMELY conducive to self motivation in students to complete projects. Also hilarious, interesting and an all around cool guy.
Bob is a really great teacher. He helps you think more creatively and come up with new ideas for your work. He tells a lot of funny stories and keeps class interesting. His exams aren't the easiest, but he makes them very doable and enjoyable!
Great professor. He is very knowledgeable and pushes you to do wonderful work. I highly recommend you take any of his classes.
Love his stories. Very knowledgeable.
Great teacher! And great class! I would say one of my favorite upper level classes. It was a lot of hands on work and I learned a lot about Philosophy through this class.
Great teacher. First impression I thought he was going to be strict and uptight about everything, how wrong I was. Nicest teacher on campus and plan on taking another one of his classes again before I graduate. Very laid back & EXTREMELY helpful both in his own class but helping you with your other classes if you are struggling. Recommend HIGHLY!
Extremely easy class! Easy grader!
He is a great teacher, very friendly, interactive and helpful, and simply a great teacher.
This class is a fun class and Bob is a great teacher. He tries to relate to us and that is important.
Great class, this class is super easy!
Fun teacher!
Very willing to help and explain. Perfectly clear when explaining concepts in lecture. Be ready to furiously take notes, everything presented is relevant and will probably be on the exam. Overall great professor!
So nice and helpful. Uses analogies to make difficult concepts easy to follow. Super nice guy. Genuine. Very understanding.
Bob will teach you the material in a fun and discussion-based manner that involves participation and deeper thinking. He is a very easy teacher and wants you to succeed.
He is a good overall teacher!
I think that writing, vocabulary, and critical reading became clear in my brain.
Bob teaches you to LOVE Philosophy. I gained many confidences in my thinking.
I like his vocabulary teaching method--The Head-To-Toe!
He inspired me to teach at higher level. Thank you.
Excellent, highly recommend. I wish he taught more classes that I could use.
Very insightful. He keeps the discussion going, exciting, and fun. Best teacher ever!
One of the three best professors I've ever had. His classes are interesting, stimulating (intellectually), and often fun. I strongly recommend taking any class by Badra if you're willing to attend class, learn, and work.
Bob is the absolute best professor I've ever had. He has an astounding base of knowledge on the topics and is more than willing to help students out. More importantly, he challenges students to act as philosophers rather than simply memorizing the arguments of others.
I had some places of confusion, but overall this was a neat class and he is a very good teacher.
Doesnt take attendance, no assignments only two exams to hand in by the end of the semester. He enters the room, sits down, open his folder and reads. He straight up reads without interacting with the class throughout the whole class. If you want an easy A, go ahead. If you want to learn anything at all, run.
has given a whole new meaning to my life. His class was not only beneficial, but it changed my entire worldview! Professor Badra is an undiscovered genius. He has always been extremely helpful, kind, and understanding. I have never felt more comfortable in a classroom.
The topics that we got into were pretty heavy sometimes. But this teacher did a very good job of teaching the materials, answering questions, and managing class discussion -all while keeping an open mind. Bottom line: Would recommend.
This material is extremely difficult to understand for the average person, but I believe I learned some really useful info in this class. This professor is helpful, and clear on instructions. This class is very reading intensive, and it takes effort to excel. I think he is a good prof.
Good prof. Most important: do the assigned readings. He knows his stuff and will always elaborate on things for you if you ask.
This was one of the easiest philosophy classes I've taken, but if you do the reading and take notes during the lectures, you should do fine. Bob is always willing to explain tough material. Also, the text was all online so we didn't have to buy textbook!
Bob is a great teacher! He covers the material thoroughly, but doesn't overdo it. Always answers questions if you don't understand something. His class is never dry. Very easy to get along with, and I learned a lot. He answers emails almost immediately. Definitely recommend!
Incredible class. One of the best I have ever taken. I wish this professor taught more courses because he is so clear in explaining every detail of the material, and makes it interesting along the way. Very engaging class. You must attend, but you will WANT to because the material is interesting & he is hilarious! Great class!
Goes above and beyond to make everyone succeed. He is really funny and goofy and makes class easy to get through, fun to attend, and the material a breeze to get through. He is VERY organized and knows what its like to be a student. Best professor ever.
Boring class, but he made it actually interesting. Very fun guy. Makes material very easy to understand.
LOVED THIS CLASS! Had absolutely no interest in Philosophy, but he definitely made it fun and is very helpful!
This class is super easy. This teacher goes so far beyond what others do to try to help. It is impossible to do bad if you try. He is super super funny and laid back.
Bob explains everything extremely well and really enjoys what he's teaching. the class is easy because he explains everything so clearly.
Unbelievably nice guy that truly wants you to enjoy learning. If you do the work, which is very interesting, not hard, you will get an A. Favorite class I've had so far in my career! Take this class!
I only took this class because I had to and I ended up loving it. He taught it in an informative, unbiased, and friendly way. The only work involved was answering "quests" which were turned in at the end of the semester and reading the book wasn't really required although it's very beneficial. He's insightful and his lectures are thought-provoking.
Coolest teacher ever! I struggled with the material for a while. If you show you care, he cares right back. One brilliant teacher!
One of the best professors I've ever had! He kept it interesting and knew what he was talking about!
The class was easy if you showed up. If you make a friend who takes good notes you'll be ok. We didn't used the book the entire class. He made the class interesting and understandable with some cool stories.
Great teacher with a sense of humor!
Bob is an awesome person. His lectures can be long, but that's because there is a lot to cover. He almost knows the answers to any question. He's a very unique person.
Mr Badra is probably the most respected and known teacher at KVCC. He has worked there for 20+ years and is a legend. Very humble man with light humor. Every lecture I sat in on, towards the end of leaving I would forget that I'm in a class instead of a 5 star movie. I highly recommend taking it even if it's not on your credited major class.
Super easy-going professor! 10 out of 10! Highly recommend!
Very funny! One of the best KVCC has! Take every course with him!
Bob is the type of teacher who you want to stay in touch with after class. He is an incredibly kind man and I consider myself lucky to have learned from him and to just have had the chance to get to know him. His philosophy class was educational but more than that it was a source of calm in my hectic day. I highly recommend his classes!
Bob was an awesome teacher. He made things really interesting and interactive. You have to do the take home exam that is due at the end of the semester, but it's really easy. The classes are discussions, so make sure you take good notes.
I had him for a few classes last year. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you do the take home exam, it's not too hard. He did a good job keeping the class interesting.
Took a few humanities courses with him. He explains things extremely well and really knows what he's talking about. He's not harsh on attendance and deadlines, and a pretty cool guy. Tells a lot of dry jokes whose meanings are usually hard to interpret but still funny.
Not so strict on attendance/missed assignments.
This class may be boring, but it is very easy since there's only one take home exam due at the end of the semester.
Very interesting class, probably the most out of my career. Easy A!
Easy to communicate with, super down to earth. He isn't a stick in the mud, very funny guy. He is a good teacher AND a good person. He actually cares about his students. I would recommend any of his classes to anyone
This professor is great! He never requires a textbook, so he expects you to take a lot of notes. The assignments were very easy and straight-forward, and he gave plenty of time on the tests and in class. He works in his field, and you can tell he is passionate about it. Highly recommended for any humanities class!
No complaints with this class. What he teaches will be on the test. The writing assignments are easy and won't take much of your time. The main thing that will have you fail is if you miss class and miss notes. Other than that this class is easy and fun. And 85% of the time you get out of class early.
This professor is amazing. He is very down to earth, very helpful, and his classes are not boring. He keeps your attention with his sense of humor and his ability to relate to the students. Just make sure to go to class to get the notes and study... it'll be just fine.
Bob is hilarious and makes class fun. There's no textbook, but a lot of notes. He tells you exactly what will be on the tests so you know what to study. He's very passionate about the topic and knows everything there is to know, so it was very helpful.
Really nice guy, no text book required which was nice. Lectures are interesting and he's very interactive with students. Easy A if you attend lecture.
Very smart man. I liked the fact that lectures are available online and movies are used as realistic references to what was taught. The writing homework is not as bad as most make it out to be given the structure he provides and the grading in my semester was decently light. My only gripe is that his exams are long and brutal. Be prepared!
Awesome professor! Has a good sense of humor and is very clear with his teaching. Yes you do write 1000 word papers once a week but that's no big deal as long as you look at the slides and watch the movies.
BOB BADRA IS ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS AT KVCC. His lectures can get boring at times, but they only last one hour. It's HIM that makes the class worth it. He is invested into every student, and has the biggest, kindest, heart. The class is easy. If you have the opportunity, take him!
Excellent, highly recommed. I wish he taught more classes that I could use.
Honestly, this class should have been an online class. The only reason I showed up to class was because his lectures are so beautiful and mind opening. He's the nicest guy ever and will not let you fail. Everything's online, even the final, and theres no deadlines so you could literally just turn it in all online the first week and be done.
He is an excellent professor. His lectures can be very inspiring and eye-opening but only if you are paying all your attention to him or else you will be completely lost. His tests are not hard, he gives you 10 essay questions for you to answer in about a paragraph for each one. I highly recommend him and hope i get him as a professor again
LOVE THIS MAN! His notes during class can get a little confusing, but as long as you pay attention you'll get where he's coming from. He is so passionate about philosophy and it shows in his teaching. His exams are extremely fair and straightforward. Doesn't assign homework, but expects you to keep up with the reading.
He's very knowledgeable about Plato. There aren't very many tests or assignments. He gives good lectures, and gives us good notes, telling us which questions will be on the exam. Very friendly too. He suggests reading the book, but you can do well by just taking notes from the lectures. I would recommend.
Bob is a very knowledgeable prof. Lectures could be a bit clearer, but If you keep up with the reading and listen and ask questions he's happy to help clarify. He really knows his stuff, especially in regards to Plato. It was a really enjoyable experience unpacking the 3 dialogues that we did. I know alot more now than I did before.
He is awesome at giving you notes to take, he writes all over the board. He gives exam questions in advance so you can study them. He makes sure that you know the answers before giving you the exam questions. He is very clear when answering questions! Make sure you go to class though or you miss out on some good notes.
Very easy going professor! You only need to complete 6 Quests by the end of the semester in order to get your A! Take him if you're needing a very light workload!
Attendence isn't really mandatory. He basically hands out all of the coursework on the 1st day & you have until the last day of class to complete it. I would highly recommend working ahead on everything & turning it in ASAP. Don't procrastinate.
The 2 take home exams (which he hands out with the syllabus on the 1st day of class) are your only grades in this course. Everything else is just lectures & old films relevant to the course.
Very easy class. Take him if you're needing a very light workload & have a busy schedule. You have until the last day of class to submit your take home exam, so don't put it off until the last minute.
Very genuine, caring, & approachable! Recommend highly!
He may have a dry sense of humor, but he's very laid back & grades very easy. The only way you can fail is if you don't submit anything to him before the last day of class.
Great guy. He is really funny and grade pretty easy. He is really interesting.
Extremely passionate about philosophy. The discussions are interesting for the most part and he is very open and interested in students' opinions and thoughts. Doesn't really take attendance, but class discussions show up on the exam. Overall, I would recommend him.
He looks like a cave man. And he is a very good guy. Very fun professor.
Nice guy. Very entertaining and funny. Take him if you can. Do the reading and speak up in class. Essays aren't too bad, just pick a good topic and you can always ask him for help.
Great teacher, laid back, great sense of humor, knows his stuff and has a passion for it.
Great guy, passionate about the readings. He really knows what he is talking about. The response papers are tricky but if you put your all in to it you will not be disappointed.
Simply put, I actually looked forward to going to this class every week. That cannot be said about any other class I've ever had. I learned a lot about myself and had fun while doing so.
I really didn't want to take this class at first, but he is a great prof. He's very caring about his students and instead of teaching out of the book, he wants his students to learn something about themselves. I would recommend him for a gen. ed. PHI class, and I'm planning on taking PHI 201 with him.
this is the coolest teacher ever. not just b/c you give your own grade but because he genuinely wants you to learn about yourself. very helpful and so much fun!!!
prof badra is all about you learning. he is a great asset to kvcc.
i have been in his class for one day and can tell he will be the best prof. i have ever had. he is so cool, helpful and funny. TAKE HIM!!!
I learned more in his class than any others....
Badra is a really interesting character. Very helpful makes a boring subject interesting.
He cleared up the thick ideas in the book with slideshows and lecture. Just do the writing responses. The final is easy as long as you keep up with basic ideas. Used the book once. Just read his handouts.
Hes a cool guy and he is a genius in his field. You don't have to read the assignments and still pass but I would recommend reading. Pay attention to your papers and write them intelligently maybe not correct but intelligent. If your getting a bad grade just talk to him and it'll get better.
Intro Class. He was very smart and explained things well. A funny guy and I enjoy this subject so I was happy to go every class period. Don't trip on the concepts, just study and know terminology and ask for help. A great teacher, take him for easy grade.
I was bored by the way he went on and on and on about the littlest things, but I guess that's the nature of philosophy. Once you get down to it though, the lectures are helpful. Midterm was easy, Final was easy, but he expects a little more for the papers. Overall I guess it was a worthwhile class.
One of the best that the philosophy department has to offer, great teacher and really knows the material very well.
If you want a detached class where you can stare at the wall, text your friends, and keep quiet, this is not the class for you. Instead of teaching cold facts from the book, he helps you discover who you really are, and he helps you discover philosophy that relates to you. He's funny, intelligent, and always makes class interesting
I really didn't want to take this class at first, but he is a great prof. He's very caring about his students and instead of teaching out of the book, he wants his students to learn something about themselves. I would recommend him for a gen. ed. Phi class, and I'm planning on taking Lib 314 with him.
This is the coolest teacher ever. not just b/c you give your own grade but because he genuinely wants you to learn about yourself. very helpful and so much fun!
Bob Badra is all about you learning. He is a great asset to KVCC.
I have been in his class for one day and can tell he will be the best prof. I have ever had. He is so cool, helpful, and funny. TAKE HIM!
TAKE THIS CLASS! easy A, funny teacher, great guy!
Wants you to take the course into your own hands. He doesn't guide much with the quests he gives. These are the only grades for the entire semester. You can skip sometimes but his lectures are AMAZING! And the quests are ONLY based on the class... not at all on the book. SO, self teaching isn't possible. Very good teacher, he cares about students!
Bob was intimidating at first, but soon after, I found him to be a great professor. He turns dry, boring material into interesting, thought-provoking subjects. His exams are simple as long as you pay attention to his lectures. He encourages students to think in different perspectives, which is refreshing! Take him for sure!
awesome teacher! do all your work, and it'll pay off on exam day. i learned a lot from his class.
He was an awesome professor. I learned a lot and he made a topic I didn't really care for interesting. Tests are easy, and only a little bit of homework. Take him if you can!
I never usually take time to talk about my professor, but I had to with this one. He is an amazing teacher. Probably one of the best professors I have ever had in my college life ( I am a senior). He has made a subject matter I find rather boring, art and philosophy, very interesting and easy to understand. Great prof, I highly recommend.
It is a very interesting class. Prof Badra is a genius and its fun to listen to him talk. Class gets intense because he forces you to think outside the box. Best prof I've ever had.
AWESOME PROFESSOR! Lectures aren't dry and boring to sit through and he cover's topics very well. Easy grader!
Great Instructor. He has a dorky yet thoroughly enjoyable sense of humor.
Very nice and kind professor. The material is difficult but if you go to office hours he is very helpful and compassionate. Read carefully and ask questions to be sure you really understand.
I took this class for my humanities credit. I was super glad I chose it because it was easy! As long as you complete your assignments (all papers due to the fact that it is an online class) you are set. As long as you are real and put a little effort in you will get an A.
Bob Badra did a great job getting me to understand the elements of philosophy in class. However, I wish he could be more organized instead of writing a single large list of words to be defined. Also, he is heavily opinionated; only take his class if you're willing to have existentialism shoved in your face most of the time and you like easy A's.
I really enjoyed Bob's class. He tries to make it as low-stress as possible. Although it was an easy A, I learned a lot from the book and always walked out of his lectures with a different perspective. He's a really nice guy, and it's super awesome that he's still teaching at such an old age.
Excellent professor! I would highly recommend him to those who are looking for very easy courses with a very light workload! Take him when you get the chance!
Bob is such a good teacher! I would definitely recommend him to those who are very new to college. He is a very easy grader, so there's no way to fail any of his classes unless you don't submit any of the coursework he provides on the first day of class. He gives you until the last day to turn it in, so be sure to get a good start on it.
Great teacher to have for those fairly new to KVCC and college in general! Take him when you get the chance!
I recommend taking the traditional class with him in the fall over taking the online course with someone else in the winter or summer. Your grade is based on the take-home essay midterm and take-home essay final, which he gives with the syllabus on the first day of class. Just answer them to the best of your ability and you will get an A no problem
If you're looking for some easy gen-ed courses to take to transfer to any college, this professor is it. There is no need to stress over studying for exams, big research papers, or a lot of homework. Your grade is only based on 2 take-home essay exams, but I was able to ace the class without the textbook. I would recommend googling your answers.
Bob is a great prof, super easy A. I took the online intro philosophy and he just said everything needs to be done by the end of the semester. I did the entire class in 3 days and got a 4.0. The material is interesting but if you want an easy humanities A, I would def take his class
Bob Badra is the smartest person I have ever talked to. He really knows his stuff and makes class interesting. He's not afraid to get off topic, but somehow always makes it relevant. I would recommend him to anyone. The response papers aren't that bad, just make sure and pay attention to what is said in class and take all the notes he writes down!
Bob Badra is a wonderful teacher. He is very helpful during office hours, and energetic in class. His passion for philosophy makes it much easier to digest. He is also defiantly one of the most staggering intellects at KVCC.
Bob is very smart. Lectures were a little dry in my opinion. Assignments are easy. Easy grader. Both midterm and final are take home!
Bob is by far the best professor I've ever had. He makes sure that everyone understands exactly what he's talking about. He puts passion into every single class lecture in his class. He is a very very humble and wise man. He would make us think and read about critical things in life. If I could take another class with him, I would.
I cannot say enough good things about Bob! He's the best proffessor I've ever had. He's so wise and patient! Attendence isnt mandatory but his lectures are so intersting you wont want to skip. No textbook, just a few books he assigns. You can tell he's well read and passionate about philosophy. Such a delight to be around, really a great guy.
Bob knows his stuff! The class was a real eye opener. He really makes you think but he's like a breath of fresh air. Would take again, highly recommend. Little reading or homework, just some much needed self reflection after the lecture and one reflection paper at the end of the semester
Best professor I've ever had! Really awesome dude
Literally the best man on the planet. Really awesome quotes, and so inspirational in almost all of his lectures. Even though his classes may be easy to achieve a great grade, its definitely worth being in his classroom to hear his wonderful words of wisdom. Bobert (Robert Badra) is the man, myth, and legend. I suggest taking one of his classes!!!
Professor Badra is AMAZING! This was a great online class. His quotes and encouraging comments provoke reflection and the desire to apply it to your everyday life. Even though this was online, I got a sense of his gentle passion for sharing his insight on philosophy. Highly recommend his class.
Professor Badra is a great person, he has so much energy and is hilarious. He is also very wise like yoda.
He is an amazing professor and his feedback makes you smile. I thought the online course would be difficult but it was super easy! I would take him again if I could.
I took every single humanities course taught by Bob because the coursework in his classes are very lightweight. There's no need to study for any quizzes, tests, or exams because all of the coursework he gives you attached to the syllabus you can either look up online or go to the library and browse for your answers in any of the textbooks.
He only takes attendance for the first 2 weeks. After that, you can choose to attend the lectures or screenings of old films and take notes on what he is talking/presenting. He gives you all of the coursework on the first day of class and you have until the last day of class to turn it in. If you like less deadlines, then he's your professor. :)
Great professor for those who like flexibility with deadlines and prefer to get good grades without putting a lot of stress on themselves to work for them. I recommend that you knock out all of his courses in one semester since his workload is very light. If you're very motivated, it shouldn't take you more than a month to finish all the homework.
Very philosophical, very relatable, and very wise like Yoda. For all of his 200-level courses, the workload is much lighter than I originally anticipated. I'm glad that I switched out of most of my classes so I can take him back-to-back for the semester. I would highly recommend him over any of the other philosophy/humanities profs. at KVCC.
For a Friday Humanities class, it goes by super fast. Only 10 essay questions to thoroughly answer and turn in as late as the last day of class. But he grades super easy so there's no way you should get below an A unless you don't turn it in. If you're looking for a super easy basic gen ed credits to take to transfer to Western, take his classes.
I took this Friday class to fulfill one of my basic gen eds at Western and I found Bob to be very insightful and laid back. If you need very easy going classes to take prior to transferring there, take them with him. Your entire grade is based on how thorough you answer his essay questions. The longer you make your answers, the higher the score.
Very easy going professor! I had him for History and Culture of China and your only grades for this class is the take-home midterm and final essay exams, which he gives you all of the questions for on the first day of class and you have until the last day to turn them in. But I wouldn't recommend procrastinating on them. Get a jump start on them.
He is an amazing professor! He is so laid back and when he talks the whole room listens. You take your own notes listening to him lecture, you do some reading, and your whole grade is based on the assignment you turn in at the end of the semester. I wish more professors were like him. You will not regret a class with this guy.
GREAT professor. Have to write a lot, but grading is not tough. Gives amazing feedback!
I'm bummed this only allows 350 characters and three tags. That's how great Prof. Badra is. He's very wise, caring, and funny. The class is really easy, but if you only care about the grade you're missing the point. I saw an earlier reviewer compare him to Yoda. That is 100% accurate. Take as many classes you can with him before he retires.
I took this as an online class thinking it would be a blow-off and I wouldn't learn anything. I was pleasantly surprised in that he made me, a science major, enjoy philosophy. The course was primarily essays and I can honestly say I learned a lot about myself and how I view the world through this class.
The entire course revolves around one final paper due at the end of the semester. It is not difficult to get a 4.0 in the class! Highly recommended Bob for humanities.
He is a great teacher! He didn't give out any tests, quizzes, or homework. You just have a journal due at the end of the semester and you can hand in your notes or write about something that he talked about during lectures. Definitely recommend Bob!
Super nice guy, gave very nice feedback on all papers . Easy .
Super nice and very caring. Easiest class I have ever taken. No homework no tests no attendance. Writing a journal on what you learn throughout the class is your grade for the whole semester. Highly recommend!!!
He is my favorite professor at KVCC
