I found Dr. Baron to be an extremely well educated and very helpful and concerned for the student's education. I would say that he is far better than most other professors. I would recommend him to all others.

Baron is the best teacher ever!!! He makes class actually fun to go to, even if it's early! He's very helpful (will email or call you back quickly if you have questions, so don't be afraid to ask). Dr. Baron is a great guy. It is easy to like this class. If you attend lecture you will get a better grade. Meet with him about the paper and you will do better on it. Very good prof.

This is not the normal ENG 102 class. We had to write a long paper, but the majority of the class was in discussion of social topics and the evaluation of articles. We did not do much learning about the research or writing process in class or in our assigned homework.

Dr. Baron is an awesome instructor. He shows a lot of video clips and has a lot of knowledge with film so even on a slow day there's entertainment. He does grade on the lax side of it but it's not an easy A at the sametime. My only recommendation is to show up and participate, reading isn't neccesary to pass, you just won't get an A.

He designs his class to be easy for people that are not very smart, but it is still fun and challenging if you are good with words and enjoy writing. Lots of class discussion, interesting topics. He is a down to earth intellectual family man. Papers are easy and he lets you pick the topic, which helps a lot. Fair grader.

I took this class during summer school and it was one of the best classes I could of taken. We read different stories/poems out of the book and discussed them everyday. We also watched some movies. The test were really easy as long as you read the material. I would recommend this teacher, he's awesome!

One of the best professors I've had! It was my first time taking a class at MCC; just took it for summer school. Great experience! Dr. Baron makes class fun, and it's easy/enjoyable to participate and gain interest in the topics. I wish the class was longer! (It was only four weeks.) And I don't say that often :) I HIGHLY recommend his classes.

baron gives new definition to the trem "movie geek". his wardrobe is HYSTERICAL! the class is unbelievably easy. the only grades are from tests, which you can pretty much wing if you know anything at all about movies and movie term. he plays the most random movie clips ever...but he's into it, so it's a pretty good time. take it with a friend! haha

He was an easy teacher. The first half of the semester we used the book a lot, but the second half we just watched movies. His grading scale was out of only 100 points, but he provided easy extra credit. He gave me an A, even though he said I had a B in the class. So if you try and show up, he gives you a good grade.

I had Mr. Baron for ENGLISH 101, not humanities! He was awesome!! Sooo funny, which is like the best quality for a teacher to have!! He uses lots of funny commercials & videos--he's very visual which makes class a lot of fun! Overall, the class was easy, I think! I mean, I managed to get an A & I'm not an 'A' student! He's a good guy!! Have fun!

Never took notes and still aced open-book and -note multiple choice tests. Even if U miss 2,3 the easy xtra cred fills it in. The final is only 10, the 3 tests 30 each. Final is optional unless you need it. It's only 10 multiple choice questions! Pay attention, attend each class, and you'll know the material the way he teaches it. He's awesome!

He really helped me out a lot and made it clear that he wanted all of his students to pass the class. The only thing was his tests are very multiple choice. For example, A-J for you to choose your answer from. Pay attention and study the quides and you will do great.

Dr. Baron is an excellent teacher! There were a few articles we had to read prior to coming to class, but they were very interesting. We would discuss them in class, and it was highly intriguing hearing everyone's point of view. Very simple class, but you learn a lot all at the same time! Take him for ENG 102! You won't regret it!

He is excellent. Very laid back and the readings are easy. I recommend taking any of his classes. It was a pleasure being taking his class.

He was awesome! Read out of the text everyday but it's just a bunch of articles. He also cancels classes so you can work on your paper. Theres only 2 tests that are open book. I got an A in the class.

One of my all time favorite teachers. He has great teaching methods that are applicable to anyone. In the class, We are only graded on our attendance, the tests, and our participation. So, really, just go, take good notes, study for the tests, do the extra credit and you'll be fine. It's one of the funnest classes I've ever taken.

this teacher is awesome! i took introduction to cinema and english 102 with him. he is very interesting and funny and he makes some classes are optional for people that need help with their papers. Tests are open book. This is a fun and easy class to take.

Hes a funny an interesting teacher. Wears unusual clothing and has a new mug everyday. He's a really nice guy, but I think he may have been wronged by a crazy femenist at some point-he isnt anti-woman or anything n=but he focuses a lot of class discussions on a battle of the sexes type basis.

I've taken 50 credits and he's the best teacher I've had. Took ENH110, HUM 205 and HUM 210 with him. All A's. HUM210 was harder than 205 but still easy. He's so fun that you learn without trying. The only teacher whose class material stays in my mind even after the semester. I take something away from his classes and actually retain some stuff.

I've taken him for ENG 101,102 and HUM 205. He's a fantastic teacher really knows his stuff and is willing to help any student in need. Participate in his classes and it will be more fun for you and he gives extra points for participation. Magnificent teacher i would recommend him to anyone!

Bob is a reallysweet, if yet quirky guy. His tests are really quite easy,there are just three of them, and I got A's on all three without ever studying for them, the last two of which I didn't even read all the assigned material for. Although he says he'll drop you for missing more than 3 classes,this is just a bluff. Definitely would recommend.

Baron is a really great professor. anyone can get an A grade if they simply read the material assigned, and plan ahead as to make time for writing their essays. I would highly recommend this class for anyone taking Eng. 101 or 102. Dr. Baron also has a few other humanity classes that are as good as any of his English Composition classes.

Liked him so much from HUM205 that I also took his ENG102 class. He keeps the classes interesting and he loves teaching. Workload is moderate but his grading is far and his expectations are clear.

Mr. Baron was one of the best teacherS I have EVER taken. This class is amazingly interesting. If you are at all interested in movies take this class. Tests are not difficult if you study. We watched Star Wars, Strangers on a Train, 500 days of Summer, and Fatal Attraction. Very funny teacher. One of the best!

If you disagree with what he thinks, prepare for a novel's worth of comments on your essay. Almost everything in that class has to do with gender relations. However, he has perhaps the most hetero-normitive view on the matter.

Such an easy class and Bob is great! You only have 2 papers and you have a long time to do both of them. You get to use your book for the final and we did not have a mid term. Bob is a really nice guy and has the coolest ties and coffee mugs! TAKE THIS CLASS!

Good teacher ! However he passed out alot of articles for us to read and take quizes on. So just make sure you read the article carefully !

Very nice teacher, you will read a lot of short stories, poems and watch films...the test questions were a bit vague,interesting class!

I learned so much from BOB, as a person, as a teacher, and as a student. Got an A, but my summer in his class was worth more then the grade I went in for.

Best teacher ever. Mr. Baron cares deeply about his students. English class is not the typical "boring" lectures and test, but exciting and interesting. He is an open minded teacher, allowing his students to write about what they are really interested in, without judgement. He is the teacher you will remember.

Great teacher and a lot of fun. I enjoyed learning how movies are made and discussing the themes and motifs behind them. I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Tests are easy and only a few written essays.

Awesome teacher and a fun class! I watched many unique films that broadened my understanding of film comedies. Tests were straight-foward and easy if you paid attention.

I didn't know what I was getting into when I signed up for the class, but I'm glad I did. The mission statement of the class was educate us on the history of Film Comedy. The class did just that. Along with the movies, we had assigned readings to do. If you read your homework assignments, you will pass this class no problem.

DR.B is the man. Super funny guy. Great teacher.You will have fun in his classes. He makes you want to come to class and learn. Best teacher at MCC!

Dr Baron is a very good teacher he really cares that his students learn. I had a fear of writing but he puts you at ease because his methods are simple and he empowers the student to have creativity. I recommend him to everyone he is one of the best teachers that MCC has.

Let me start off saying, this teacher is awesome! On the first day of school you may seem leery about him because of the way he talks. He talks fast and you may make out a few words but eventually you'll understand what he is trying to say. It's very easy to figure out his grade system and its easy to get grades Just write a lot on essays and read.

I had Dr. Baron over the summer and I loved him! He was very sweet and fun and his class was pretty easy! We had only one large research paper which was fun because we got to pick the topic of any choice! I highly recommend him :) He also has the craziest ties!!

Took Intro to Cinema, if you take notes and read over them/study you'll be able to finish the class with 100% in class. Great guy, very interesting.

Dr. Baron's a real funny, entertaining guy who keeps his class really interesting. He's full of fascinating little factoids and trivia bits that tie directly to the history of cinema and where we are today with film. I was so impressed with Dr. Baron as an instructor that I'm seeking him out in future classes. Get him!

Dr. Baron's class was so much FUN! Textbook is only really needed first couple of weeks and then you get to watch movies! Always participate in discussions and keep up with the films and it's an easy A. Wish I could've taken more of his classes.

Dr. Baron brings just the right amount of humor to the classroom to keep students involved and interested. I really appreciated his approach to education and topic discussion, as he focuses on getting the class involved in discussions with each other to analyze the material. Plus, who could complain about watching Star Wars!

Intro to Cinema was a fantastic class. Requires attention in class, but no homework whatsoever. Awesome Prof! He had very interesting lectures, good movies, and thought-provoking questions. All tests multiple choice, except the single essay question final. Loved it. Would take again!

Dr. Baron is one of the most highly respected professors on campus. He has told me that he makes no money from his textbook, but rather put it together as a helpful guide for his students. He has been an English professor for many years, and is an excellent communicator. Always willing to provide extra help. An exceptional teacher!

He's an all around laid back and nice guy. Get ready to read many articles everyday which can be boring at times. Easy class and only had to do a few basic papers and a long research paper for 102. In your papers make sure to include many examples andor experiences. Take him!

I have luckily had many great teachers at MCC, but Dr. Bob Baron was by far my favorite, especially for an English professor. I have never considered myself an exemplary writer. Dr. Baron always gave great feedback on papers as well as great grades which impacted my writing positively. I even bought him a mug for his collection because he's awesome

Dr. Baron is my fav teacher at MCC! You write a couple papers throughout the semester but they're 5 paragraph essays. In 102 you write a size page research paper. His classes are very laid back. Most of the time he is reading articles and then he shows a lot of funny videos! Took him for ENG101 and I just had to take him again for ENG102!

i took him for two class one is ENH111 and other is ENG102 he is the best fpr eng 102 he require his own book that he made it its all basically story's than we to write 4 essay or 5 the final is text based on stories and open book final pulse the research paper that he grades very easily if you follow the rubric i recommend himmmm

An easy A. All you do is go to class, go over the article and the readings he assigns, watch a few videos and then you go home. He grades things fast and gives feedback on almost everything. You don't really learn anything in his class though so if you need actual help in English I suggest someone else.

Dr. Baron does a great job on what can be a boring class. He uses funny film clips and he brings in interesting outside readings to make Comp an interesting class. I was one of the top students in my high school and this instructor is challenging, yet witty compared to all the other English teachers I've had. I would recommend him highly.

This teacher has been the best teacher i've had at MCC. He's so caring and always has a good attitude in the classroom. Always replies to emails, and always is enjoyable to listen to in class. Not a hard class at all, it's a carefree class with an awesome teacher! TAKE THIS TEACHER, you won't regret it. I'd take all his classes if I could!

Prof. Baron is an exceptional instructor who is hilarious, smart and caring! He really knew how to make an English class fun. He always had great stories and/or videos to show the class to wake everybody up a bit, plus he gives really good feedback on your papers! Baron would bring in a different coffee cup AND wear a new, crazy tie EVERY day! :D

Professor Baron made ENG102 interesting, he is the first teacher in which I haven't slept once in his class. He is very kind hearted professor and definitely first pick if you are going through any course. The discussion in this class are really great and it was quite enjoyable because of his visual representation and differing opinion.

Dr Baron is the first English teacher that I could relate to. He teaches in a relaxed environment and promotes interaction. His assignments are not that difficult as long as you stay on top of them. He makes himself available for students and encourages to use the resources outside of class. I would especially recommend him!

He's a great professor! I really enjoyed being in his class! To those of you who don't like presenting in the front like I do, you only have to do it once in the whole semester which is optional.(Still lose a couple of points if you don't). He gives a schedule for the whole semester which is a big help to see what's being done that day.

Basically show up, participate, pass the tests which is the only thing that is your grade and you pass. He's lectures pretty fast though but he will repeat what he says.

Dr. Baron is hilarious. He has an extremely dry sense of humor. His tests are incredibly easy, basically don't even have to study for them and you get an A cause he goes over all the stuff in class. Watch multiple movies. He does sometimes call on people and ask for their opinions and occasionally has us get into groups and talk about the movies.

Mr. Baron is an awesome teacher! Great lectures! You learn a lot about how Comedy started and how it came to be today. If you pay attention in class you shouldn't have any problems on the tests.

Easiest class ever. He wrote his own book used in class so no need to buy it. I went the whole semester just looking off the person next to me. All we watched were movies and did class activities. He briefly used the book to talk about stuff. Probably like 4/5 assignments all semester but super easy! and that's including the final. I HIGHLY reccom.

I had a great experience with Professor Baron. It was great talking about movies and learning more about cinema. The only downside is that youre only graded by four assignments, but as long as you do them youll be fine. Hes a great professor, and HUM210 is a great class!

For an accelerated summer online class, Professor Baron truly made it possible for his students to pass while understanding the material. I actually took ENG102 twice before and both times dropped out because the teacher was not the best. I guess third time's the charm thanks to Professor Baron. 10/10!

His class is very clearly structured and is very easy to go through. The course content itself is very interesting, so it's easy to stay motivated. There is 1 quiz over an article, 1 test over the textbook, a 6-page paper over a specific movie, and a final exam over all movies watched thoughout the semester. Very easy stuff, TBH. Highly recommend.

Dr. Baron is the kindest teacher ever!! He truly cares about her students and is always there to help. I would definitely take his class again. He even sent me the most awesome E-Card after I completed the class to thank me! It was so hilarious! I can't say enough great things about this class; it is so much fun and the movies are amazing!!! :)
