Mr Bradshaw is funny, in that geeky math teacher kind of way, and super sweet. He might not teach in everyone's style, but there's no question about him being a really really nice guy.
This guy is a great teacher. He is always willing to help you out, he likes to see you suceed. He is a funny teacher that actually makes math interesting. I would recomend this teacher to anyone that can take him.
Mr. Bradshaw is one of those rare breed of college teachers who actually care about his students. He is cool and is willing to go all out making sure the students understanding the material. You can't go wrong with this math teacher.
He is probably the smartest person I know. I want to be a math major just so he could mentor me. Definately the best teacher I ever had, and also a nice dresser and very cute.
awsome teacher if you dont get this guy then i feel sorry for you. one of a kind and is very outgoing and makes you lauph you wont fall asleep in this class and i get bored easy
Bradshaw is the man!!! seriously cares about your grade in class. let me tell you, i took basic math before and got a B- then took Bradshaw for 151 and got an A. Funny teacher too, really enjoyed taking this class, u should too!!! :)
he was only a sub for o'connell but the 2 classes that he subed for were so boring. he was trying to derive something and he kept asking us what to do. and hed wait until someone said something to move on. wasted time.
Bob is the bomb! He axplains math by giving it a real life practical application. He will do anything to help you pass the class regardless of how stupid you are! He is really adorable too, kinda like an older Ross from Friends!!!
Mr. Bradshaw is a nice guy, but he likes to pick on the kids a bit. Very laid back. His tests will keep you on your toes. HE will say something will be on it, but it won't be. He doesn't like to tell you what is going to be on the tests.
Mr. Bradshaw is a very challenging teacher and has high expectations of his students but will help you 100% of the way. As long as you do your part he'll meet you half way. He helped me greatly in getting over my math anxiety.
Youre the best MR B, love your jokes..... Keeping it real......
Best math instructor at Ohlone, period. Explains CLEARLY, uses good examples. Smartest and most knowledgable instructor. Tests are sort of hard, but he is always willing to help. Much more helpful in office than in MLC. So see him during office hours. Pay attention, and you'll learn a ton!
Mr. Bradshaw is an awsome teacher, he is very helpful, and understanding, you take Mr. Bradshaw's class and leave learning so much. The class is very interesting and seemed to fly by. I have taken 3 math courses at Ohlone, and Mr. B's class is the one i got the most out of. He's just AWSOME!!!
Mr.B use to be a cool guy. I actually liked Math before, but taking another class-Trig with him sucked. He wouldn't pass me even when I asked him if I was doing ok or if I should just drop the class and not waste my time. Never will I take this two-faced teacher EVER AGAIN!!!!
Bradshaw is fun! The class is hard if you dont study your ass of. I learned a lot, got a B :)
Great teacher! Knows his stuff!
Makes class interesting, nice guy, but tons of homework. He also won't change test dates often.
the best teacher ohlone can offer.... very funny and smart, knows alot about everything... teaching is his favorite subject... would recommend him... highllyy....
HE is math god. HE will explain everything in the book. But his test are really hard. You have to work to get a B. But i think he is worth it, because he prepares you for higher level math classes. TAKE HIM
Excellent teacher, high energy, explains concepts clearly and makes math interesting. The tests are difficult, but the lectures prepare you for them. Taking his classes will boost your confidence and interest level.
terrible. Another guy who always brag about graduating from Berkeley.
One of my favorate teachers. He explains well and he thinks that school should be fun. I learned a lot in his class. I recommend him as a teacher for any math class.
He's one of my most fav teachers at Ohlone. He's so cool and funny. He's very helpful if you come up talking to him 'bout your problem. He has good personality and good sense of humor. I recommend you take Bradshaw or O'Connell for any math class...you'll love math and never regret.
Mr.Bradshaw is the best! He was so funny, understanding, and helpfull. I didn't like math before, but after taking it with Mr.B I loved it. As long as you show up everyday and show that your trying, you'll pass!
Professor Bradshow is the best math teacher I ever had. He makes math interesting. Highly recommend have him as your Ohlone math instructor.
He is one of the best math teachers I have ever had!! He is very funny and patient. He will keep going over something until everyone has a clear understanding. He is always there in office or the math lab to help you out too. Awesome teacher!!
Excellent teacher, high energy, explains concepts clearly and makes math interesting. The tests are difficult, if you dont do the homework.
take this teacher if you want to be make fun of , or you wanna c a clown show , gdluck
I'm taking him over the summer for four hours a day, four days a week and he's GREAT! Very entertaining, and wonderful as a teacher too. He's extremely helpful and tests aren't that bad. I highly recommend him.
Mr. Bradshaw is a wonderful teacher. He is humorous and enthusiastic in math. You won't dose off as usal if you take his class. And he explains well and patiently.
Great teacher. Very patient and goes over things until you get it. Very funny and enthisiastic. When I had him, a txt book wasn't required. Tests are ok and his final was made up of old tests. I had him at 8 in the morning and i actually learned something from him. Best math teacher i ever had.
His jokes are really good.
He's really helpful and funny guy. Make me interested in Cal 3. Do your homeworks and ask questions about the hw. He can go over very clearly. The test is based on the hw.. so undstand wtf ur doing on ur hw..
He's a good teacher and he makes his lectures fun by telling jokes and stories that are related to Math MOST of the time. But he tests are based on homework and lectures. He will teach until you understand the materia. Great teacher, you will learn from him!
He is the best math teacher I ever had. Umm... no textbook nessesary, good joke heard in class, attendance is not mandatory, what else could you ask?
This teacher is highly helpful and one of the best math teachers in ohlone college.....Hats off for his outstanding work.
Best Teacher ever....Take him...n have FUN
i just can't find a negative thing to say about Mr. Bradshaw. He's simply the best. He'll go above and beyond in order to break it down until everyone understands the material. He's extremely intelligent and funny. Go to class, pay attention, and do the one or so section a day HW afterward and you can pull of an A. Very helpful during office hours!
Don't be fooled by other ratings, he sounds nice, and at first seems to be, but once it comes down to it and you get to know him, he really doesn't care whether if you pass or not. Even if he knows that you are having a hard time both in and outside of school, he really doesn't care. Seems if it doesn't affect his paycheck it doesn't bother him.
He's a great guy, but his teaching method is insane. Throwing in all the hardest problems on the tests without elucidating them was simply annoying. Quite helpful though, so go to his office and ask him about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you don't understand. If you can take someone easier, I'd go with the alternative.
He's a really funny guy that knows a lot about math, but the class started off with about 50 people and ended with about 13, only one person got an A, and only 3 people got B's(I think thats pretty self-explanatory). He picks the hardest questions from the textbook that the tutors in the math lab cant even figure out!
OMG!!!!! he's too hard. ok calculus is a hard subject, but he makes it harder. he can't teach, his notes are useless. he says his job is to "confuse you", i think he has the concept of a "teach"er wrong. he's not funny. he makes up his own questions, doesn't let you finish his quizzes, his tests have way too many ?'s. AVOID he doesn't care about u.
Ok this teacher doesnt care about his students at all. His teaching is horrible and his tests are so hard. He picks the hardest problems there are and I even went to the math learning center for help and they couldnt even figure out how to do it. And many students had to drop his class, because of his harsh grading. Worst math teacher at ohlone
really hard, but tries his best to help you understand.
i thought i was good at math :'( he ruined my whole semester.
he's hard because his class is disorganized his quizzes are 20 percent of your grade and he doesn't let you finish em and you don't know when you get em. he fails you on all your tests for no reason. he gives the hardest problems there are and doesn't tell you how to do them. math is not about giving people the hardest problems to help em fail.
I highly recommend him to all of you guys.He is really good.He is a fun guy,and he is so nice that you can go to his office at any time when you need to ask questions or just want to talk to him with any topics. But his class is hard though, you need to take a lot of time to prepare for the infinity tests.I would like to take his classes foever.
outstanding teacher!!!a cool and fun guy~super cute~~~he will let you both love and hate math...
The answer below me has to be Mr. Bradshaw because this guy is ridiculous. He choosed the hardest problems on tests and I ever took my test to the math lab for help on a problem I got wrong and they couldnt figure it out. He is a waste of time.
He's a cool guy. Class isn't easy though, but if you pay attention to his lectures, it helps. If you get a bad grade don't blame him blame yourself. He's very helpful, he helped me out of class a lot and that I am grateful for.
This teacher is difficult, to say the least. He knows his math very well but he doesn't know how to teach it well. Homework is tedious and he takes the hardest questions from the homework and puts them on the tests, which takes the entire class time to complete, assuming you know all of the material. Don't take him unless you're serious about math.
He is an extremely tough teacher, but tries his best to help you understand. If you have questions about homework or material, don't be afraid to ask it. Also, quizzes and homework don't help your grade much, but they can certainly hurt your grade. I was so close to an A, but the reason I didn't was because of my 85 in homework.
This teacher does not know how to teach. He is horrible. 30 people started out in the class, then at the end of the semester 14 were left
He might know everything about math but he definitely doesnt know how to teach. Even if u miss 5 homework problems out of 100 he's gonna give u an 8/10.Doesn't do any example on the board so u dont even know how to solve the freakin problems.B ready 2 read the book and learn stuff by yourself. had to take 95% in the final to get an A. he's useless!
hard tests. Got 100% in quizzes, 97% in HW, but averaged 72% in tests/FORCES you to go to Hyman to use Mathematica program to produce 3D drawings for HW/He writes his own HW problems so you can save $ and not buy the book, but you'll probably need the book anyway./He'll generously round your grade, too. like an 87% will be an A/Little xtra cred tho
This guy is a joke and doesn't care at all about his students. He doesnt know how to teach and will make the tests so hard that even the math lab people cant help you out. I hope people read this and dont take him.
I'm taking his summer class, so obviously the info is kind of packed. but as long as you do the homework he makes, you'll do good on the tests.he like copy and pastes his homework to his tests.Unlike many calculus teachers, he actually explains and derives what we are learning, so we aren't just mindlessly sucking in formulas. he tells cute stories
This teacher is the worst teacher I have ever had. His tests are full of problems the people at the math lab cant do. More than half of the class dropped. He is a very hard grader. I dont think he should be teaching.
You will learn a lot from him.
not a good teacher dont take him
Very helpful teacher. You can make an appointment or drop in if he's not busy at his office to ask questions you did not understand in class. He tells corny jokes but those jokes keep you alert. His hw and quizzes will test your knowledge of concepts he discussed in class which will then prepare you for his tests. Take him if you're into math.
hard test, good teaching
He is not an easy teacher, but you WILL LEARN calculus. He is by far the best math teacher I've ever had. I've never gone a day without laughing in his class, too. He is an amazing teacher, but is not easy, take him if you care to take the time out of your day to actually learn the material, or meet with him.
OMG he is the best, really helpful, but i have to admit his test is HARD but he explained really well, as the result: few A but half of class got C, that's good, right? I think that's pretty good with the hard test. SO TAKE HIM
Likes to talk about himself and his tests are so hard half of the class dropped, and almost all the students who stayed got a C in the class. If you want to get a good grade take another teacher. If you take bradshaw your in for a rude awakening
Yeah half of what the others are saying is garbage. Bradshaw is an excellent teacher. He's thorough in his teaching, and he's a very kind, calm, and funny teacher. However, although his tests are hard, if you do the daily homework assignments, (and ask questions in class) you'll do fine. Also, don't come late to class - you'll miss quizzes. (I did)
Took it in summer, I must say that I love his class very much though it's a 4 hour class!! He is so nice and friendly!
Mr. Bradshaw is a really nice professor. He cares about what he is teaching and who he is teaching. He is a very fair grade-giver. If you study hard and deserve an A, he will give you an A in the end. All of his classes are just worthy to enroll.
Oh my god! I fell in love with this class though it's super early. he tries to make the lecture interesting, and he succeeded!! I enjoyed his lecture very much. Do put some time on HW; some questions are quite time consuming.
An awesome teacher in class, but be prepared to be bombed in test. If you want to get an A in this course, be smart or reconsider.
Bradshaw is an awesome professor. He teaches really well & his lectures all tie in perfectly. He makes the class fun, but that doesn't mean he is easy. Do ALL the homework and make sure you understand it very well b/c it will help you on the tests. So far I have an A in the class, and so far there are 6 A's.
I believe this is Bradshaw's 1st time teaching Matlab. Right off the bat he tells you that he doesn't like Matlab and that Mathematica is better and its just flat out funny. I have to say though, strictly speaking, Bradshaw is a lot better at teaching math and when he has a chalkboard, compared to teaching programming. All in all the class is hard.
Professor Bradshaw is a great professor. It's too bad he's not teaching the higher up maths next semester. I hope he gets a break because he looks EXHAUSTED. He has bags under his eyes and he needs a vacation, he deserves it for being such a cool professor. All in all the class is fine, you'll learn so much in this class and he'll make it seem easy
Great clarity on concepts. Very helpful when it comes to answering homework questions. Deep analysis into pivotal concepts later used in calculus, helps me to be ahead of the game in Calc 1A. Humorous, sometimes off-topic. He is the second best teacher by far at Ohlone(only because he is not teaching history, and math is not my favorite subject).
Great professor. He makes the material so easy to omprehend. Make sure you review your notes well because thats what most of his tests cover. You will have to work hard for your A but its worth it
He's a bit challenging but you will learn the material if you try.
Great teacher, really engaging with an awesome sense of humor. The tests are difficult, but if you know the material and apply the concepts then you should be able to pass the class. Totally renewed my faith in community college professors.
he's the best teacher i've ever seen~
Explains everything clearly, is very patient, energetic, enthusiastic, chill, and engaging. If you don't understand something, he replies quickly to emails and makes things easy to explain. Keep up with your homework and ASK QUESTIONS. His tests wil ask every question you didn't get on the hw so do EVERY problem and ask every hard question you had.
Best math teacher i've ever had
His main focus is to make the class interesting and fun and it really shows. He uses humor and gets sidetracked alot but it makes class entertaining. Every problem on the tests are from the HW so make sure to do every problem. Fantastic and helpful teacher. this is coming from someone who hates math. One of best Professors at Ohlone
Professor Bradshaw is the best math professor in the whole school. He's very knowledgable and he's willing to help anyone who doesn't understand. He makes math seem so easy and he loves what he does. HIGHLY RECOMMEND PROFESSOR BRADSHAW! We need more professors like him.
Stay away from this teacher he makes the test hard for no reason, maybe he likes to pizz when he sees an "F" also when you ask him a question half the time he says "i don't know im not the one taking this class" If this is the only class open don't even bother registering I would rather wait a semester or go to another school!
He is the best math teacher. If you are not good at math, take his class. You will be fine, if you finish your homework. His tests either come from his lectures, or the homework. If you are good at math, still take his class. His lectures are very interesting and helpful.
Highly recommend him! People complain because they forgot everything learned in previous Math classes. The time he will say "I don't know" are the times when students ask him about the questions that are not covered in the courses OR when he is not sure about the answers (You don't want to learn sth wrong, right?) Energetic person! Don't skip class
Best math professor I've had. Makes math fun and entertaining.
I took Bradshaw for both Calculus B and C, and loved both classes. The guy can flat out teach anything as far as I am concerned, he makes everything seem so simple. Take him if you want to learn. Also he is pretty funny... Just saying...
The ONLY complaint you can make about professor Bradshaw is that he is a bit on the harder side. However, differentials was definitely easier than 101C so no complaints for me this year. Great teacher, very funny, makes you really enjoy math but you have to do the HW in order to get an A. He's easily the best math teacher in the school.
He is one of the best professors i have ever come across. he know how to teach math in a practical way using real world applications rather then just pure algebra. He also helps you understand and manages the class is pace according to the students and not his. i would take math with him every year if possible and definitely recommend him.
Bradshaw is a really nice guy and he really wants his students to succeed. He doesn't teach straight from the book--it's his own sort-of rendition, which can be helpful or harmful to certain people. I personally like his style. He keeps things interesting and shows his passion. Tests are short and based directly off of homework. HW is 10 pts each.
Bradshaw is the best teacher I have ever had, in any subject. He will answer all questions and make sure that you understand the material. He is extremely helpful and explains the information very clearly. He also applies the material to real life. His class is difficult but YOU WILL LEARN and he is a great guy. I highly recommend this class.
This is probably the best math professor I've had ever. He does not teach from the book and creates his own hw for you to do. He is helpful and clear. However, some people may not like his style because he does not follow the book. Rather, he gives you his own explanation which honestly makes more sense. Also be warned: his test can be tricky.
my experience: I took only part A of algebra with him but he acted like it was the whole Math152. He went super fast and it was really hard for me to follow. I got extremely discouraged and gave up towards the end. Seeing how much better I'm doing in part B I think his teaching style wasn't for me. Only teaching with examples no steps explained.
best teacher i've ever taken. his class was difficult but he tries really hard to make you learn. i recommend not taking him unless you really want to learn the material. he also looks like jd's brother from scrubs.
Bob is clear in his delivery, and conveys a true understanding of the subject. He provides explanations tailored as best expected to a student's personal relative understanding. His energy is invigorating, keeping Math as fun as could be. I feel rewarded in my efforts and richly enlightened. He provided a great service and is highly recommended.
I don't know why people think this class is super hard. All the test questions are off homework questions. When you don't get something, he'll explain it to you until you get it. He's a very chill guy, and as long as you go over homework a night before the test for two to three hours, you should easily get an A.
Bradshaw has an great personality but his teaching methods are not the greatest. He does not teach by the book which is detrimental to many people. It is very difficult to study for his tests because he doesn't use the book.He embarrasses people in class when questions are asked. I would only take him if you "Naturally" excel at math.
Mr. Bradshaw is the head of math department, so his tests and classes are not easy to get A's on. He is a good teacher but really really hard.
I took Mr Bradshaw for multiple math classes over 10 years ago. To this day, he is one of the best teachers that I ever had. He truly teaches and takes the time to make sure you understand what's going on. I miss hearing about his pet pig.
Before Bradshaw the world did not exist. Only math teacher Ive ever learned anything from. Test days were full of the basketball team swearing loudly in the back row. So that was interesting.
Another top tier Ohlone professor! Answers all questions until you say you understand the topic. He does not want you to fail and does not try to make you fail, he wants you to understand the material and makes it enjoyable. Everything was clear, it was a difficult class but that is just because math is difficult. Take if you have the opportunity.
Prof. Bradshaw is a great guy and fairly straightforward in presenting the material. Sometimes gives quizzes, both announced or unannounced, and you even get to use notes or work with others sometimes. Gives the option of making tests with or without calculator. Overall, easier grader than most other professors for Calculus.
Mr. Bradshaw is simply amazing. He basically tries to answer all the questions students ask to eliminate confusion. He's easy on time and attendance so u don't have to worry about being late to class. All he does to late student is a "hi". But do realize this is a calculus class. you don't want to miss his classes if you want an A.
His tests have problems similar to ones covered in class. Optional homework, but it's pretty helpful to do it since you sometimes get quizzes with similar problems. Homework problems may also appears on tests. Pretty fair grader overall.
Calc 3 or Vector Calculus is a tough class, but Bradshaw makes it easy to understand. He always gives you an idea of what questions may be on the tests. Optional homework, but recommended since similar questions appear on quizzes and tests. Ask him for help via email, visit him during office hours or go to the MLC with questions.
Took for 101B and 101C. Absolutely amazing teacher, probably the best I've ever had. Explains complex concepts simply, is willing to go over the same problems over and over, and really wants students to learn. Very flexible, funny, and knowledgeable. If you ever get the chance, take him!
Mind you the last time I took an Alg2 class was sophomore year in high school. Bradshaw is an amazing teacher that cares and looks out for his students. He always made sure I understood what i was doing in class and always asks if I have any questions. Best and favorite math teacher I've ever had! Really funny too! Take him for sure!
A great professor! He is super patient with his students and is more than happy to explain things again if you don't quite understand it. He's a fan of pop quizzes, but they're really easy. About 5-6 tests a semester and he'll literally tell you what to expect on the test so you can be prepared. Definitely would recommend him to anyone.
He made math fun. Words I never thought would come out of my mouth. I'M NOT EVEN A MATH MAJOR. HW is optional and no credit, but you won't survive if you skip it. DO THE HW and ask questions in class! Attendance is not mandatory, but should still go for pop quizzes. Very respectable, engages with students, tells funny stories, gives out persimmons.
For this class, there are 34 chapter tests, a bunch of quizzes, and the final which is cumulative. On the tests, he sometimes has true/false questions, but pay close attention to the wording and has questions that are free points. The final is really easy, just look over the previous tests since his final is based on past tests and quizzes.
Mr. Bradshaw explains things very well, is helpful during his office hours, and makes the class as straightforward as possible. Homework is optional, and he does not offer extra credit. Your grade is almost completely dependent on your test scores, but he hints on what is on them. He is by far one of the greatest math professors I have ever had.
His tests and the final are all fairly straightforward if you understand how to do the homework. Tests reflect both the homework and in class material. He sometimes gives pop quizzes or take home quizzes, so try to keep up. Last semester, about 2/3 of the class got 80%+ on the final. Too bad he's not teaching differential equations this semester.
Tests and quizzes are similar to homework problems. Although homework problems are not required to turn in, it's recommended to do them because you can get more practice. The final is probably easier than any of the previous tests if you understand the material. Mr. Bradshaw is glad to help anyone who asks, so don't be shy to ask questions :)
This guy is amazing, he explains things in a way that is easy to understand. Really great guy who wants to help students succeed. Take advantage of office hours and the Math Learning Center to get good grades. Easily one of the best math professors here along with Mr.O'Connell. Take class with either of them if you ever get the chance :D
Love his sense of humor. He is a MATH guy, for sure. Try to go to all of his lectures- very helpful. all test questions are similar to what he does in class. HW is important!! Very helpful during his office hours.
Probably the funniest professor I've ever had. Lot of quizzes, but if you do the homework (which you should, every day (which I wish I did)) you'll do great. I could tell he had some favorites in the class, but he's pretty equally fair with everyone. Just be ready to work hard
great professor. I took his two classes;101b and 101c. He is so funny. He is so helpful and patient to explain if you ask a question. He is very happy if you come by his office during his office hour and ask for his help. Hw is not required, but test is based on it.
Professor Bradshaw is the nicest professor ever. He teaches well, and he cares about his students. He does not necessarily follow the book, and he explains stuff really clearly. And he is very hilarious! He will tell you all kinds of interesting stories and you will never feel bored :) Be aware of his quizzes
