He's not helpful, intimadating, and very confusing. He is not here to teach. He's here to ridicule marketing students and put the fear of econ in them. Econ is easy if your teacher can teach. Unfortunately he can't. But he's kinda sexy...

The text books are fine alone, but they contradict eachother. PICK ONE text and use it Bob! I understand all of the material. I have no problem with the assignments... now come the midterms, you will fail. Game over. good luck. Save yourself the trouble and drop the class and take it night-school. You'll thank me later!

Bob is the worst lecturer I have ever had. He expects Phd answers for first year students. The course material has all been borrowed from SFU and has no original teaching technique. Even the exam questions are from SFU exam papers. Why not outsource the course to SFU instead of investing in an BCIT lecturer it would save the institution some money.

By far the worst prof ever! Doesn't enjoy teaching, doesn't care about the students and I'm sure he simply enjoys watching us struggle! If you can and are taking the BBA...take this course somewhere else.

The class was brutal: his material was very advanced and scared many of us. He put a lot of stress on his students and I was quite discouraged throughout the course. Too bad: he is a very smart guy with a very dark sense of humour--he just asks a lot out of his students. It's possible to do fine in that class but be sure to inverst time & effort.

A course designed to torture students--expect to be picked on because the answers to the class presentation always change from year to year. But take heart--IF YOU COMPLETE EVERYTHING THE COURSE IS DESIGNED TO PASS YOU!!! Midterm and final are not easy but don't freak out; the term project is hard at best but do what you can.

He is the rudest and least helpful prof/instructor I have ever had! He is insulting, condescending, and assumes you know everything. His lectures are VERY different from the textbook and his expectations are unclear!. I completely regret not taking this class online. Get out if you still can!

My education at BCIT over the last two years was amazing. The faculty was great. However, I don't understand why year after year, students receive Bob as an instructor to teach their diploma "capstone" course. This condescending hack only loves the sound of his own voice. A little word of advice, don't bother questioning his "economic wisdom".

Terrible teacher... Sh*ttier subject. Bob is a walking, talking demotivational poster. From day one he will let you know that you will not pass his exams. Take his word on it. Its a tough subject to start with and his monotone, condescending lectures make it a lot harder to follow. Read the textbook and get a tutor if you plan on passing.

Grades were delayed by 3 weeks due to the faculty working on how much they would scale his class by due to his terrible tests and delivery of material. Best advice for BBA: drop it and take it in part time. Class is easy if you are ok at calculus and micro. And don't bother asking him questions, he will just insult you and not answer them.

Bob is an individual whose understanding of economics and calculus is unparalleled to most other professors. Instead of striving to translate that understanding, he demonstrates frustration and disregard for student performance. He acts as if he's Einstein integrated in a room full of 8-year olds. He'll always treat you as if you're an idiot.

One of the worst instructors at bcit. Doesn't engage with students during lecture. Doesn't care if students understand the content or not as long as he can finish READING his slides in 50 minutes. Lecture is a waste of time but you must go so he won't get mad and not send the slides.

Was unavailable during lab time to answer questions. Arrived late to lectures. Generally put little effort into teaching the course or facilitating student success.

Im angry at bcit for taking out tuition and paying this useless professor who has added nothing to the course. We just use Pearson the whole time. Why do we pay extra. That institution has an SA to help students and it does bloody nothing. Also this is Econ-8500 doesnt have an option above.

This man is nuts. He's ineffective, unhelpful, lazy and disrespectful. He literally told us during a PANDEMIC that if we had unsteady wifi during and exam there would be no redos so we should "go somewhere else". He's useless and a horrible teacher. Avoid at all costs.

Oddly Shows up on time, but when Bob is there he seems to not enjoy his job at all, and is very rude to students. Bob is terrible at explaining topics and many people from his Lectures and Labs agree that they have learned more in 5 mins from a YouTube video than they have from Bob in a week.

Verbally abusive/ most miserable human I've ever encountered. Puts students down constantly, in lab/lecture/email. He does not create a safe learning environment. Extremely unwilling to accommodate. He uses complex terminology and examples to 'explain' simple concepts. He seems to hate students so much, bro why are you an instructor then?

Bob's class will make you miserable and regret ever going to BCIT. The guy is horrible at teaching and makes everything extremely complex and difficult. He puts no effort in setting you up for success. Crazy to me how BCIT has stuck with this guy for years despite constant outrage from students each year

Rob Delorme needs to be reviewed at BCIT... - is too smart for his own good (he does not know how to properly and clearly explain the materials) - no tutors are available or willing to teach this - makes fun of simple questions - homework content is extremely simple compared to the exam (barely any examples or exercises for the exam are provided)

He condensed all the labs together towards the end of the semester because "No one" showed up, didn't even show up to my lab even though it wasn't the affected labs.

Very hilarious guy, but very dry and hard to follow lectures. I had friends take ECON 8500 parttime and breezed through the course with A's. Yet with this professor the exam never looked like the homework, he even had a meme posted in his office regarding how comedic it was that the exams never resembled the homework. It does with other profs...

He uses profanity against us and doesn't check in to see if we are doing ok. Doesn't give us clear goals. Finishes lectures halfway and leaves us to finish the rest on our own. Usually late with terrible excuses. His comedy skills are Amy Schumer Levels. During labs, he would walk out 30 minutes early. Most of his assignments are on Pearson

Delorme is very knowledgable but expects you to know everything prior to his lectures. He is not approachable or seem to care about any of his students. Be ready to learn on your own time because you wont get much from what he says.

Weird Guy.. Don't take his class if you are unable to teach yourself. His lectures explain simple topics in the most bizarre ways, including calculus and 3rd year Econ info in a basic equation. Shows up late with Starbucks every class. his email reply's are misspelled, passive aggressive, and make no sense. yelled at a student mid class.

Get ready to teach yourself

Do not take a class taught by Robert Delorme under any circumstances. Disgrace to BCIT.

Rober Delorme seems to be completely inept at teaching students the required course material that is needed to pass the test. Robert should not be a professor at BCIT as his tone, demeanor, and general teaching style is a complete disgrace to BCIT.

Very unsafe learning environment, he swore in the class and made some sexist comments. Shame on BCIT for keeping this professor for some reason.

Overcomplicates everything and makes it very hard to grasp what he talking about in lecture/lab. By far the hardest class Ive ever had to take.

Bob overcomplicates things a lot, he won't give proper examples and will get pissed off if you ask him to repeat something or ask him a question. His exams are tough, usually 20 minutes late to the lab. The homework is the only thing you can rely upon to help you pass if you get at least 30% on both midterms. Since the average is usually 20ish%.

Bob is probably the worst prof I ever had at BCIT. He makes everything feel complicated, you're better off skipping his lectures and learning it yourself. He doesn't care to answer questions at all and is not helpful in the slightest. If you have ECON 8500 with Bob, get ready to teach yourself all the content and get every possible mark from hw.

If you aren't able to teach yourself off your textbook then this class will be a total nightmare. Doesn't like being asked questions, my best advice is to pick a different instructor if you can..

Prepare to teach yourself in this class - the professor overcomplicates concepts and is often unhelpful. But unstuck AI can be a great study aid alongside the textbook.
