Makes learning Psych fun! I just wish he wouldn't teach so early in the morning. Bob, if you are reading this, please consider a night class. 9:00 am is too early in the morning for a class.

It is very easy to try and glide through this class because there is no homework and very little note taking. If you are good at taking tests, you will do fine. The grade is based on quizes and tests.

Very cool guy and extremely knowledgable. Psych 1 is much easier than the other 2. Gives great lectures, sometimes its a comedy act even, but really still gets info across. Grade is all from exams, but its not too scary! One of the best teachers I have ever had. Really!

He is about as easy as they come! Uses alot of examples, related cases and videos. Very easy to understand. Easy A if you show up and pay attention. I think the student that was disapointed in not learning anything was on DRUGS. Take his class, you won't be sorry, or your money back, Ha ha.

This is a review for the online course. I could tell in orientation that he's a great teacher and a funny guy. Unfortunately, I took the 6 week course and got a C. I knew the material, but a lot of the questions weren't psyc questions but recalling the video, which is just stupid. A psyc test should be psyc questions, not video reviews.

This guy is so awesome!!!!!!!! He tells you stories and just is really hilarious. He gives you modern examples and personal experiences in order to understand the material more. Definitely, take his course, especially if you are a psyc major wanting to transfer, he gets you really into it.

By far the best professor at saddleback. I hate waking up early, but for his class I woke up and was happy to be there. What a riot! No homework (at least not much), take notes, study notes, get good grade. That easy. And his stories are off the wall. He used to work for the DEA!!!

I don't have problems remembering information for his tests because he makes everything so interesting; it sticks in your head. He's great at keeping everyone's attention with all the bizare cases. I definately recomend him!

He's funny as hell. Makes class very entertaining, BUT the tests are kinda hard. That's all the class is based on, is tests. So if you are not good with tests, like us, then this class is not good for you. He is very entertaining though and you do learn a lot. It's just hard to apply it to his tests.

He is a great teacher! extremely interesting and entertaining. All you have to do is listen to the lectures and take a few tests. It is easy to stay interested because he applies his own crazy experiences to the lectures. You will learn a lot in this class that will apply to your everyday life.

I had problems in this class. Bob mainly goes by his lecture and to an extent, conflicts with the book info! Although i got a good grade in his class, i DID notice the class average seemed to be balancing around the "C-range". I also felt he was more perceptive to the girls. His tests are moderately challenging, but he DOES offer Extra Credit.

hes a funny old man! yeah quizzes were kinda difficult i always forget to study cuz they r kinda tricky but not really. remember to do the cases at the end cuz i forgot! its funny when he says homie and homedog. weeeeeeee

very good teacher. hist notes are very clear and he has a website with all of his powerpoints on it. the day before a test he goes over everything you need to know...tests are straight out of the lecture notes and are pretty easy. even if you miss a class you have the notes. awesome personality, easy going. makes the class a lot of fun.

Take his class!!! He makes going to class in the morning worthwhile! Very organized and has all powerpoint slides on blackboard so you can take notes on those. Tests were sometimes worded a little tricky but I would just go over my notes the night before and always get a B. Has very interesting stories and he is just great overall!

Honestly one of the most amazing academic experiences I have ever had. He makes you want to be there, to learn and listen to the experiences he has had. He brings every lesson he teaches to life, by incorporating an actual event that took place in real life. There needs to be more teachers like his, I looked forward to his class every time.

This is by far the BEST professor at Saddleback hands down! He is great to listen to, he has taught at alot of colleges and he really knows his stuff. Don't even worry about grades with his class--he makes it so interesting you can't help but know the material and ace the tests. Take any and all of his courses! You will see what I'm talking about.

Top notch professor! Dr. Ferguson presents a great learning environment with his powerpoint lectures and sex dysphoria panels. He is a pretty funny guy and a very knowlegable professor. Lecture notes are critical for his tests so bi-weekly attendance is recommended. His tests are 3 multiple choice 25 question tests with a 100 question final.

Ferguson is awesome! I took him for Psych1 and I had to take him for Human Sex class... He is hilarious. The class is all power points. Just take notes - there are a couples days of videos and two visits - one from the Gay Straight Alliance at Saddleback and one from ****s. Make sure you get notes if you don't go...Easy class and really fun!

Yeah he's pretty easy. I never opened my book. The quizzes are pretty easy as long as you have notes from class. Likes to give you lots of examples and talks alot about drugs and sex so get use to it.

Took his online class over summer..so easy! His tests are easy too and a lot of questions are common sense that you wouldn't have to open the book for. The essays are easy and I liked it because psychology is my major!!

Dr. Ferguson is the best teacher ever, because of him I loved Psychology. He's a great teacher with great knowledge and teaching techniques. I took the online course, and he was extremely easy to understand! You have a week to complete a couple assignments max. They take no time at all and they're all interesting subjects. The quizzes are only 25 questions and it's open book. He was really helpful and emailed back as soon as he could if I had any questions. Highly recommended!

TAKE THIS CLASS! Mr. Ferguson is an amazing teacher not only because of his ample experience in the field (DEA, law enforcement, clinical psychology, forensic psychology, etc.), but because of the way he brings the material to life with his animated lectures and real life experiences. Class is all lectures with few tests and hardly any homework.

My favorite teacher ever. He used to be a drug agent for the gov, so he has some wild stories. You don't HAVE to attend classs, but all that's required to pass is copy his power point (he posts it online also) and scan over it the night before the test, which is 25 m/c q's and EASY. Only drawback is that he likes to teach very early in the morning.

Took Intro to Pysch with this prof. to fulfill part of the IGETC, then I saw that I could take Abnormal Psych to fulfill another part. These two classes have been my favorite of Saddleback even though they aren't part of my major, and Ferguson is the most interesting, fun professor!

Absolutely hilarious teacher. Keeps class interesting. There are 3 tests and the Final. Then you have to turn in 3 chapters of critical thinking questions, very easy. Tests are challenging, so make sure you study. Take this guy for Psychology!

Dr. Ferguson is awesome. His lectures are straightforward and funny at times. Quizzes are fairly easy if you studied the PowerPoint slides and take notes. Final was tricky, but if you took your time and thought about the questions you should have no trouble. Make sure you do the extra credit. Its only 3 points, but it made a difference in my grade.

Dr.Ferguson is seriously one of the most entertaining professors I have ever had. I took two classes with him and learned a lot in both. Textbook use is very low - just keep up with the notes he gives you in class and you should be fine. His classes are not guaranteed A's - you actually have to study.

Greatest class I have taken so far! I took it online, and it was so amazingly easy! All the assignments are simple, and you get three hours to take 25 question, mutliple choice tests. Fantastic teacher! His stories are funny and they really help to retain the information - I learned a lot. The tests were tougher than I expected and many questions are based on case study examples. You do need to study lecture notes to do well. Taking another class just b/c he's teaching it, don't even care it meets at 7:30a on a Monday morning!

Had for Psych 1 and 37 - absolutely the best professor you could ask for. Easy to understand lectures, one homework assignment due at the end of the semester, and just keep your mouth shut while he's talking or he'll call you out. I got a B, but that's because I didn't study! The ?'s are easily accessible online extra credit and use your casebook!

Bob is awesome. His lectures are easy to understands, he tells the best stories he's dealt with relating to the material. Don't talk in class, and if you're late, just go in quietly. One of the best teachers I have EVER had.

Took him for PSYCH 37 - Abnormal Psychology and highly recommend this class/professor. His power-points are the key to his tests, the stories he tells ties everything together, and he doesn't give out homework. (except for one assignment due at the end of semester) Before the final, he goes over the questions on it. FUN,EASY,INFORMATIVE!

Professor Ferguson is one of the most well rounded professors i have ever come across when it comes to educational as well as work experience. He genuinely cares about teaching. Not necessary to buy the book if you attend class and take notes. I would definitely take his class if i were you.

One of the easiest online classes I've taken. Weekly disc boards, 4 quizzes and a couple papers (3 pages max). Super easy, put a minimum amount of effort into it and you can get an A. Don't spend money on the textbook for online class. You can get away without it using Google.

Hes a great teacher makes the class interesting, while also being fun. Dont expect much of a serious classroom setting has he is quite the jokester, and likes to shock people so just sit and enjoy his great lectures.

I took Dr. Ferguson for an online class and found it to be very easy! He was very understanding and answered any emails right away. Not very much work at all so if you are looking for an easy yet intellectual class take him!

Good Experience with online class. Not a lot of work, just the right amount to survive an 8 week course. Not a lot of interaction with the teacher. Follow along with the syllabus, weekly lesson plan and you should be set.

You do not need any of the books. Everything on his tests is from his lecture. Take good notes and study a moderate amount and you will get an A.

He is such a funny teacher! There are 3 quizzes which are based off the notes, and one final exam. Got a b on all the exams and the final but my grade a the end was an A! Love this class would definitely recommend

Okay seriously, no joke, this professor rocks. He is beyond hilarious, never uses his textbook during class time, and instead uses his cases as "lectures". They're super entertaining, you're never bored in class, I was always laughing, and he's extremely helpful, clear, patient, kind and honestly caring to see you do well. Take him!

Had this class at 7;30 am monday and wednesday, he kept me awake with his funny jokes. he is always laughing at himself. he only tells you things that are on quizes. no homework, and you really dont need the book ever until the final.

This class was extremely easy! What's even better about this class is that he tells you exactly what will be on the quizzes and best yet, the final exam! We had about 3 to 4 quizzes. He's goes on and on about his interesting cases and examples more than his power point lectures. He's super funny! Take this class. You won't regret it.

He is the best! It was a 7:30 class but he was worth it. He was soo funny, and he has actual cases that he experienced which he uses for examples which is really cool. He made it really easy to understand, and he totally helps you prepare for the tests. All of his lectures are online, but it was worth going. DEFIANTLY TAKE HIM

I wasn't the biggest fan of his humor, but my classmates loved him. He repeats himself a lot. All the time. So much. We'd spend an hour class going over one slide. Most of the stuff covered in lecture was not covered on exams. He's nice, but gets a little personal and I thought it inappropriate. Tests are fairly easy, he does help you prepare!

Taught my class until the last month of the semester, then disappeared. His lectures are unforgettable & can be printed. He creates vivid pictures in your head to help remember the information. Before each test (3 tests + 1 final), he shows what he is testing you on. You'll need his book only for the 3 critical thinking chapter q's assignment.

I had Ferguson as a Freshman at Saddleback, it was my first class ever. I personally made the rookie mistake of taking the class at 7:30 AM every Monday and Wednesday. He was a very silly teacher and was able to spark my interest even if I only got a couple hours of sleep the night before and just crawled out of bed.

This class was super easy. 3 tests, all had reviews and he went through it question by question. I personally did not like him because his lectures were all over the place. Nothing was organized, but in the end, it was an easy A. All the homework through the whole semester was 3 chapters in his casebook. Don't get it. It's not worth it

Seriously the best teacher ever. He has the class laughing basically the entire time. His lectures are interesting because he brings in cases he has actually worked. He is so sweet and genuinely wants you to succeed. BEST TEACHER/MAN EVER.
