The class is not yet over, but I have enjoyed him as an online instructor. He is helpful with questions and provides a lot of useful materials for learning the subject. The quizzes are to the point and mostly straight from the book or notes. Pretty simple and easy class if you keep up.

I took his accounting class and knew nothing about it. He's a great professor, very funny but you do have to work hard to earn your grade. He's very helpful, just make sure you study and understand the material.

Took accounting online. Followed his instructions and did well. Tests were challenging - must read the material and do the homework to understand. Knows accounting well and can explain things via email fairly well. Did not always answer the questions I asked, but was helpful in most cases.Has good sense of humor too. Would recommend to you.

I just love him! He is the best teacher. He is clear and he cares of us. If you are lost he will try his best to help you, not like some other teachers. Both on-line and in the class are not easiest.But Bob is always there to help.

Bob is an excellent teacher. His sense of humor and desire to help you really makes you want to log on and participate, even in an online environment. The material is very dry, but bob is more than willing to answer any questions and explain things to better your understanding. The course work is moderate but easy if you study a little.

I had bob for both my required accounting classes, i had to take my 202 class online because he does not teach it in person. He has been my favorite teacher during my college experience. Super helpful, and he does not lather on a bunch of crap that is not necessary to know.

Hilarious teacher! took his online class and absolutely loved it. You do a chapter a week. read the chapter, do the assignment, and take the quiz. you can go as fast as you like and can finish the semester as early as you like. learned a lot in this class.

Take Bob for ACC 201/202 if you want an "A". Perfect stress-free class for a student with a full load.

Easier than ACC 201. Do the required work and you will do fine. You can not fall behind in this class. Quizzes and assignments are not accepted late. 1 homework assignment and quiz each week plus a final exam.

I took both is ACC 201 & 202 online courses. The work isn't hard, but there seems to be a lot of you are taking a full load of courses. You are allowed to work through the course quickly if you wish, but don't fall behind! He's very understanding if life hits the fan, so be sure to tell him. Excellent instructor & recommended!

Great teacher. This class has two assignments due every Sunday by 11:59pm. The Homework (which he gives you the answers for) and a quiz which comes directly from the book. You only get one chance on each quiz. Understads that life throws curveballs. FYI-"remember" the quiz questions for later in the semester.

Great professor, very helpful when making comments on your answers. Test are easy, all answers are found in the book. I'm taking him for Acct. 201

Awesome teacher! There is a good chance, I will take him again for an Accounting 201 course in the Fall of 2010! Just a heads up for future students Chapter 7 and 8 are kinda tricky since he combines half of each chapter together. Study both of the whole chapters 7 and 8 in the same week and you will be fine. I love Bob's class, he does a great job in explaning accounting 201. I really wish he had acct 202. Bob gives weekly test and lot's of homework but for accounting you need it to do acct 202. DO NOT TAKE ACCOUNTING 202 with DR. Nelson!!! If bob had the class i would take it with him. Overall if you read the chp. you should do well.

Bob is amazing! Took him online, not just cookie cutter class. Takes real world examples which make sense. Bob is hilarious.. makes finance fun. Since fun, makes interesting and easy to apply in your real world. Take him... You will NOT regret it!

Bob is not as encouraging as he sounds in his notes. Plan to invest A LOT of time to this course because Bob is VERY tight with his grade. Overall, teaching style is old and (w.all due respect) beancounter boring. I would take someone else.

Took his online ACC 202 class and it was great. Be sure to get the homework done as you go and don't cram and it is easy. His tests are also fairly easy and he gave a freebie question on all of them but they do cover the relevant info needed. Also, mainly use your book for study. Not the slideshow so much. READ YOUR BOOK.

I strongly recommend taking his class online if you want a fairly easy A. He gives the answers to the homework right off the bat, and most of the answers on the quizzes can either be Googled or looked up in the textbook. The guy is pretty funny, too. I'm partially considering retaking Financial Accounting with him one of these semesters as well.

Bob gives you every opportunity to complete your homework, and pass your quizzes. There is pretty much a quiz each day but he tells you exactly what is on it via his website. Homework assignment once a week, he gives you an answer sheet to make sure you are correct. One midterm, 75 questions- not open book and one final.

I heard from different student that accounting class is hard, it's not easy to understand. I took this course with Pro. Gutschick. It was pleasure to be in his class, he's very helpful, every week there's a quiz & HM , one cumulative paper, and midterm and final exam. But, if you study and read his powerpoint, you'll get an easy A. GREAT PROFESSOR

Bob is an easygoing relaxed professor. I completed the class 2 weeks early and he was perfectly fine with that. Not like some of the control freaks that want to time everything out so they work at their schedule, not yours. That defeats the purpose of online classes. The book was ok and all the exercises were easy if you pay attention to detail.

Great professor! Took him for Acc 202 on campus. Gives 2 quizzes a week and 1 homework assignment a week and he always tells you ahead of time EXACTLY what will be on the quiz so you know what to study for. From my experience you have to try to fail this class. Would take again!

I took this class online, he has best organized home page I seen, It was crystal clear to me what are my assignments and where to find them. Homework is easy since he gives answers. The test were tough for me, and I almost run out of time few times. Make sure you red the book and also power point + do HW before taking test

I just adore Bob Gutschick. He is funny, realistic, very clear w/what he expects of you & understand when life takes you for a ride. His classes & assignments give you the opportunity to let the information "stick" w/you. I highly recommend him if for no other reason than to gain more common sense than one might already have about any subject.

Best professor. Teaches you a lot about accounting and life as well. There is homework and quizzes every class. You know what will be on the quiz ahead of time so it is actually really easy. There is a midterm and final which you have answers for beforehand. If you pay attention and want to learn, you will love this class and you will do great!

Class is not difficult but time consuming. There's a lot of readings, every week quiz 20 min 20 questions, and to pass the class with an A you have to do all the readings and HW and learn it. But on the bright side all I learn was very interesting for me, and I think very useful for my future, to do sound financial decisions. I'm glad I took it.

Bob is a pretty funny & real guy. He tells it like it is; that's why students like him. There's a quiz almost every class, but let's you know exactly what's going to be on it online, so don't worry. There's a homework assignment every week that takes about 1-3 hours if you do it thoroughly; he gives you the answers, but don't cheat yourself.

Professor Gutschick is by far the best professor I ever had for my accounting class. I remember the first time I took ACC201 with a different teacher and hated everything. I honest to god thought that I would never pass ACC at all but after taking him, I ended up UNDERSTANDING and ENJOYING what accounting has to offer. If you can, TAKE HIS CLASS!

Professor Gutschick is by far my favorite professor I've had at CSN. I've taken his online Acc201 class and the online FIN101 class. Extremely organized. Read the chapters and do the homework and you'll get an A. I love how he sets up his online classes. He's also VERY understanding of "life happening" and willing to extend deadlines if you ask.

He is amazing and knowledgeable. He feeds you in information in a fun and easy way. You read a chapter, do the assignment, and take the quiz every week. There is no midterm or final. The assignment and quizzes make you think about it a little, but they are still easy. The quizzes are timed and it seems that I was always down to the last second.

He has been one of the best professors at the college. Yes, you have homework that needs to be turned in and yes he expects you to be in class (if you take it in person you have to be in class to pass). Bob is great! There are weekly quizzes (30 mins for 25 questions), 2 homework to turn in. Bob's working papers are not in the text book but it really makes you think. The other homework assignment is in the text book and it's great material to put the pieces together. He responds to emails promptly, and if you ever need an some time, communicate!

Bob is an amazing instructor! He's funny, understanding, and most importantly RESPONSIVE. He knows what he's talking about and encourages his students to learn the information in a useful and practical way. No midterm or final just one HW/QZ per week. Homework is NOT difficult! He literally tells you where to look to find the information you need.

If you looking for a Good Accounting Teacher look no further. The lectures are on point with the homework you are doing. If you get stuck on something he will give you an example on how to solve the problem.

Great professor. His Chicago accent narrations of the "Bob" homework sounds like he's a member of one of Bill Swirski's Superfans. I guess you have to maintain a sense of humor when Chicago sports are as bad as they are (j/k Bob). Take his class, he made Accounting understandable for me, which I didn't think was possible.

I can't even describe how understanding he truly is especially during these times. He tries his best to be as accessible as he can and understand situations you may be in. I was close to dropping bc of my anxiety and after I finally pushed myself to just message him, he immediately accommodated me. Don't be afraid to tell him what's going on!

This class is very easy just make sure you read everything before you take the quizzes. I love how he organizes the homepage, it makes it clear what you have to do each week and also the due dates. I learned quite a lot in this class and I would definitely take this teacher again for my other ACC classes!

This class isn't the easiest, but Bob gives you all the tools you need to succeed. 3 things due each week: textbook problems, financial statement problems to fill out and upload, and a 30 min quiz with 25 questions. Email prof if u have questions. Attend his lectures for the midterm/final! He'll answer problems on the study guide. Very funny guy.

His instructions are clear, his homework comes with lots of examples, and his communication skills are on point! Don't miss out on taking his accounting class, either online or in person. This is not a course you can slack off in. There are lecture notes, videos, and the textbook to help you with the Bob + WileyHWs. Reading and learning the chapter took me hours each week, but it made the BobHWs a breeze. He is also easy to contact through Canvas if you need help. This class is manageable if you don't have a busy life.

Proff Gutschick is AMAZING! He makes the material easier to understand and provides all of the resources that you need to succeed in his class. There are four assignments due weekly but I was able to finish all of them in a day typically. I actually liked his BOBHW that he made because it ensured I knew the material. Easy weekly assignments based on textbook readings and internet readings he provides. Weekly quizzes are also easy based on those readings. Not a hard class if you just keep up with the two assignments each week.

Personal finance class 101 (online), instructor Bob Gutschick takes no crap. But if you read everything, and keep him updated (with personal problems) this class is manageable. Tests weren't my strong suit, but aren't terrible. Definitely learned a lot for a student in my 30s, who's going back to college.

I took his full summer semester course. His lectures are entertaining and full of sarcasm and jokes. He points out important information for homework and quizzes pretty clearly. You will need to take the time to look for it and read it. Three homework assignments and three quizzes were due every two weeks. It was very manageable. Very responsive!
