Lombard is an adorable and easy-going man who knows what the heck he's teaching. I was never good at trig but he makes it so easy to understand. cracks jokes to keep class entertained and is helpful when needed.

Excellent teacher. He shows many examples, which really helps. When I took Math 070 last semester, I came out not knowing anything. Through Mr. Lombard, I pretty much knew everything that was taught in Math 070, and as well and help him in his class while he was teaching. Too bad he isn't teaching next semester... =)

Best math teacher in evc ! He gives us 1 pg of notes front and back for each midterm. 4 pg's for final. Gives you credit for trying the problem on midterm/final. You'll pass if you take him trust me because i did and im not even a math person.

I've hated math and done so bad my whole life until I took a class with Mr Lombard. He is so patient. He takes his time to show every single step of any problem you have a question on. When he goes over homework, make sure you ask when you dont know because he will go over it. He spends about 30mins to an hour going over homework and it really help

Prof Lombard is an awesome teacher. He is very patient with the class if we don't understand him. Although he gives out a lot of homework problems, he grades very lightly on them. Also, for exams he allows the class to use "cheat sheets". I would definitely recommend him.

Mr Lombard is an easy-going man who knows how to explain concepts thoroughly. Assigns many homework problem sets mostly to help you practice and understand the material. Very very helpful in class and on exams. I'd recommend taking Mr. Lombard for all your math classes at evc.

BEST math teacher I've ever had. Took him for two classes. Really knows his stuff. He explains everything to the best of his ability and makes sure no one is left confused. Gives lots of hmwk for other classes but not stats-that's the only way to master math. Highly recommended.

He's areally good teacher and is funny because of his lame jokes. He'll help you if you're stuck, and e does assign a bit of homework. Class is fun. You should definitely take him :)

The Best math teacher hands down. He really wants his students to succeed.

Lectures are sometimes unorganized, but can be easily understood. Assigns homework from the book regularly (allows you to use either an older edition or the new edition of the book to help students save money) and goes over math problems students had trouble with before turning it in. Allows a cheat sheet for each quiz/test. Sense of humor! :)

This is the second time I take this class and I am extremely happy that I took it with Mr. Lombard the second time around. He is very patient and goes above and beyond to help his students understand the problems. He does give a fair share of homework but in the long run it's good practice to help you do well on the exams. Plus, he's humorous!!!

Normally you would get a geeky math teacher, but instead I would never expect to get a HOOOTTTT professor like Lombard! Very helpful and explains the materials very well. And did I mention he's the best looking professor I've ever seen? He's so hot he makes me wanna attend class everyday!

Very easy teacher. Explains well and is funny. He will help you after class and during break if needed. Highly recommended. I'm taking my next class with him if he's teaching it. Easy to understand. Don't lag on doing the homework and you will get an A or B. Tests are easy, hardly any word problems. AND WHY HASN'T ANY ONE GIVEN HIM A CHILI PEPPER?

BEST TEACHER EVER!!! And not because he's easy, but he is. Lombard walks you through every step and explains everything. Before taking his class I had to take each math class several times to pass with a C, I got a B in his class the first time around. He also makes class interesting, even the 2.5 hour night class i took, I didn't fall asleep once.

very easy teacher. very fun class. you can use a printer paper of notes on the test. but only bad part is that he give lots of homework, but he does go over the homework. he will tell you what is going to be on test.

Very nice and funny teacher. Sometimes too nice. He's the type of teacher willing to work with you and stay after class to explain things to you. Can use notes on tests and practice exams given. Lots of homework. Only complaint is he takes his time returning tests. The suspense waiting kills me.

Helpfull, funny,explains the material very well. always willing to help so DONT hesitate to ask. only downside is that he assigns alot of homework but if you really do do it all you can pretty much guarantee an A in the class and in all the exams.pretty much tests off the hw...Math 25 is not an easy A tho, you need to put on an affort

I've taken him twice and I'll continue taking him if his classes are available. He makes class fun and he's an excellent teacher. He breaks problems down and in more than 1 way so there are different techniques in solving problems. He's always willing to help and takes time after class to explain if you don't understand I Highly recommend his class

Awesome teacher! He made me understand Math & its my worst subject. I actually enjoyed coming to his class. He is funny, laid back and really wants you to pass. I will be taking him for my next few math classes! I didnt buy the book or turn in any homework and still passed with an 87.3% Its a pass/no pass but he emails your actual grade. Take him!

I took Math 13 FOUR times before taking it with Mr. Lombard and I wished I would known about him before. He is a great caring professor that really tries to ensure everyone in class understands the material. You MUST attend EVERY class or else you will fall behind, he allows you to use notes for your tests and assigns HW every day TAKE HIM!

I absolutely LOVE Mr.Lombard!!! I have never been good at Math but Mr.Lombard got me a passing grade.I thank his patients,and his overall goofy attitude for my passing grade.

I had failed Math 13 4x's before taking it with Lomard. He truly cares for his students and wants everyone to succeed. His lectures are very clear and considering the subject makes it interesting. You have to do your homework and score well in the exams to make through his class. DONT MISS class or else you will be lost.

Mr Lombard is the best math teacher. He doesnt just pass you, he actually teaches you easy steps to solve the equations. I'm so thankful for him. If you can do basic operations then you have a chance at passing!

Mr. Lombard is a nice guy. He's very understanding and helpful. If you need help just go to math lab! He doesn't have "office hours". Sometimes you'll find him in math lab but not really on the times his syllabus says he will be. He allows you to use cheat sheet or notes for exams and final. I got a B because of cheat sheets! Take him!

Seriously, Professor Lombard is hands down the best professor I've ever had. He teaches you the proofs of every formula which is what I will be expected to do in graduate school. He knows his subject and encourages students to approach problems in different ways. Very helpful analysis skills can be gained.

If you hate Math, give Mr. Lombard a shot. He always has a positive vibe, and doesn't make you dread the class. Regularly assigns homework from the book, so you will need the book. Usually 3 tests and a final, BUT, there is always a study guide which is similar format to the test, and you can use a page or 2 of notes. Show up, do HW and take notes.

He is an amazing teacher sometimes he gives too much homework, but then accepts it late if you weren't able to do it. He takes his time to explain everything clearly. I have never gotten an A in math until i got to his class because he is so clear in explaining and is really helpful.

Bob is literally the best college professor I've ever had. He is hilarious and very inspirational. There wasn't a single day that I walked out of that class upset, he is that funny. I don't even know if he's that funny he's just really sarcastic and awkward. His tests are very clear and he offers fun extra credit problems on all of them. GREAT GUY!

Let you use cheat sheets for test. First midterm 1 cheat sheet, second midterm 2 sheets and it goes like that. Give extra credit on all tests. Final is multiple choice. He explains problem really REALLY well. He doesn't like it when he sees that you're not focusing. Does take attendance. Overall great teacher. I wish he teaches Calculus.

Mr. Lombard is a GREAT teacher, however he hands back tests and assignments in an unorderly manner. He tends to take 3-4 weeks just to grade a test which isn't very efficient. Expect to have 3 tests and 1 Final Exam at the End of the Semester. He assigns homework on a daily basis and only has "in class quizzes" when he feels like it.

As others have pointed out, Mr. Lombard is a great instructor. Not only that, he's also a great person. If you don't understand something and ask him, he's more than happy to explain again. He'll tell you it's a great question even if it's plain stupid. His class is not difficult but you have to work for it. I had a good time in his class.

Mr. Lombard is an unbelievably talented math teacher. I drive all the way from Santa Cruz twice a week just so I can take his amazing class. The world would be a better place if all math teachers were like him.

Amazing teacher, would take from again. Takes first 30mins to answer questions on hw, and rarely assigns even problems. Tells bad jokes to break up the monotony of lecture. Took his night class and he gave us a break ever 1 1/2 hrs. He gives extra credit problems at the end of each test, and tests are 10-12 questions long. Best teacher I've had.

All I have to say is that he is one of the best teachers I have ever had in a long time. Lessons are very helpful as he goes through all types of examples/problems. The only problem (I guess?) is the amount of problems he assigns for homework. I too, am a visual learner and had no problem. Git gud (put some effort in and ask him for help.)

A great teacher and has a dry type of humor that is pretty funny although you mostly laugh in your head at it and then you both get awkward over it. His teaching is solid and he is a very understanding professor. Kind of monotonous sometimes but you can't go wrong with this teacher.

easy to understand which is a must if Math is your weak subject. you will work in his class, but he isnt intimidating. very understanding, and if you go to class and pay attention and keep up you will do good. no math class is easy if you hate math, but this is a great teacher to make the process smooth. show up, and do hw, there is a lot.

His lectures are clear and he makes sure students understand the material. He explains by proving concepts and is willing to help students who wants to learn. Lots of HW, exams are not difficult but you need to practice. Slow on grading. 3 exams with partial credit and 1 final on MC. Exam #1 1 cheat sheet, exam #2 2 cheat sheets... He is the best.

Mr. Lombard is YOUR math teacher if you are the type of person who DREADS math, and is not a math major. He will get you thru it. Here's how: He is not strict about late homework - He wants you to get a grip on the BASIC CONCEPTS. He allows CHEAT SHEETS. ANSWERS QUESTIONS and tells down to earth Math related stories to put you at ease.

If you try, he will do his best to help make it to the end of the course. Allows you to have more than one cheat sheet. You can put whatever you want on them and even have them typed on a computer.

The class honestly ins't hard at all if you keep yourself on tract. The problems he assigns are almost identical to the ones he does in class, so if you pay attention in lecture you'll pretty much pass. Yeah it's a lot but its a math class, practice makes perfect. He's also a well meaning guy and tries to lighten the mood in his 3 hour lectures.

Math is usually a boring subject but he makes up funny jokes to lighten the lectures. He gives many breaks in between and allows you to eat whatever in class (he will even provide food sometimes) Overall a good teacher.

He is a good and effective teacher. He will help you if you ask for it. The grade is composed of HW + 3 test + final exam all worth 20% each. I would highly recommend anyone to take him. He teaches in a way which makes math understandable.

Took him for fall2020 I only went to 2 zoom meetings out of the whole semester even though they are mandatory I still managed to get a high B. He's super sloppy but still is "caring" i guess and will get to your emails asap. If you hate math take this class its easy.

Hes a little messy as a teacher, love him though took him over the summer and read about him so decided to have him. Do not regret taking his class, enjoyed it a lot! Hopefully I can take him again soon..

This class was one of the best I have ever taken. Mr. Lombard is very kind and caring. I would say that he is a great role model. However, the textbook is slightly expensive.

One of the best professors I have ever taken! Math has always been a super hard subject for me but Mr. Lomabard makes everything super easy to understand and follow. If you ever need any help he is willing to help you. Has a joke book that he uses at least once a day to keep people entertained and also stories. Great teacher take him if available.

Classes with Mr Bob have been so worthwhile Mr Bob has an amazing way of breaking things down so that they are understandable and always keeping it light and fun He providing textbook Practice test always helpful be patient with that you will get perfect grade. Hw will be due once a week as well not too much pressure in this class he is pretty cool

good at explaining things in detail. also fun teacher. he assigns a lot of homework but it is doable. his tests are really easy if you pay attention to his lectures and do the hw. there are four tests. the 1st test you can have 1 cheat sheet, 2nd test is 2 cheat sheets, 3rd is 3 cheat sheets, and 4th (which is the final) is 6 cheat sheets.

Professor Lombard is the best professor I have had so far. He makes his class easy and ensures his material is clearly understood. Compared to most other professors, he is chilled out with the workload and tests. He makes it clear he cares for his students and their success. I highly recommend taking his class as much as you can!

Professor was amazing. Exams are easy as long as you did homework or had good notes. Only reason I got a C was because I didn't turn in hw (I procrastinate a lot). I got about 85% average on exams. He records his class sessions and posts them on canvas in case you wanna revisit them. Good at explaining the work as well. Definitely recommend.

Professor Lombard is excellent, in six weeks he was able to teach trigonometry at a good pace trying to make sure we all understand the concepts. He's not a harsh grader compared to other teachers and the quizzes weren't hard as long as you showed up to class and did the homework. Overall I would recommend him. Note he doesn't use canvas.

I took Mr. Bob's class during the fall semester. I definitely recommend taking his class; he's very funny, he shares stories from his life in some of his lectures, and he's very approachable. His class consists of three exams and a final, he lets us use cheat sheets, the amount of homework is reasonable, and he offers extra credit. I 100% recommend
