Mr. Long's class and teaching style seriously made me decide this is what I wanted my major to be. He want his students to be successful but he will only be as eager as you are. He's a great guy and a great mentor

I took A&P 2401 and 2402 from Mr. Long and I recommend him to everyone. A lot of material to memorize but Mr. Long made every effort to help us and made the course managable. I enjoyed his lectures, he was able to keep the class focused and interested. He was clear about what will be on the tests. I found the Interactive physiology CD very helpful.

He is very passionate about his students and teaching. If you didnt have him for 2401 then it doenst work in your favor. He is a great teacher, but his exams are pretty hard. You have to be dedicated in this class no matter the teacher.

It was an amazing opportunity to be in Mr. Long's A&P2 class. He is an amazing instructor who uses absolutely NO power point presentations. He explains difficult concepts better than anyone. This is not an easy class and you will work very, very hard. His tests are difficult.

I took him for 2401 in the spring of 2011 and I am currently taking his 2402 this fall. He is a very passionate teacher, he is clear and through in his lectures. He has made a noteset for students to take notes in during his lecture that goes in a specific easy to study way. Register for his class early, it fills within the first few hours.

I took both 2401 and 2402. I am glad I took him as my first semester in college, I felt that it set me up to be better prepared for my other classes. The class is paced by the noteset he provides for class. If you miss a day you will know what was covered. There is a reason why his class fills up within the first few hours, he is the best.

I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I attended my first AP class. Luckily, Mr. Long was very helpful in his lectures and even gave strategies on how to time manage with AP. He is a very motivational teacher and really believes in his students. He is a hands down one of the best teachers Del Mar College has to offer.

Wow! Where do I start? Mr. Long is the absoutle best professor at Del Mar, period! He has a true passion for his students and their learning. A&P is not an easy subject to begin with, but Mr. Long bends over backwards to help his students learn! DEFINITELY take him!

A&P is content heavy and a difficult subject. Mr. Long takes the time to make the content very easy to understand. He tells you exactly what to study. He is approachable and helpful. I used the note set, books, study groups, and SI sessions. If you can't go to class and devote 2-3 hours per class of study time, Choose a different major.

A fabulous instructor. I learned a lot from him. The class itself is pretty hard, you will have to study a lot, but he is willing to explain things one on one, and is very willing to help. He will stay late so you can have extra time with models. Does a good job of getting you ready to go into the medical field. I would suggest him to anyone.

By far the best professor I've ever had, this is a hard class, and I took it with 3 other classes including the lab which is another class all in itself and managed to make an A, but I worked very hard and gave up all social life for the grade. It's a sacrifice I was glad to make so I could understand the concepts. Take him, you won't regret it.

If you need to take any A&P, he's your man. Brilliant instructor. He wants to make sure you understand the material. He offers plenty of opportunities to seek help from him and shows you what you need to do to make the grade.

Mr. Long is an amazing and inspirational teacher! As long as you attend classes everyday and study the material in the note sets you will pass. Everything that's on the exams is basically handed to you in the note sets. Will be taking this teacher again for BIOL 2402.

Be prepared to work at learning A LOT of information. He is all over the place, always running behind, stressed for time, crams or leaves out a lot of the topics. Goes off on way too many personal "motivational" speeches. He's got good methods on how to go about it, and if he could just stay on target, he'd be the prof to go to. He will help you!

Mr. Long is a great teacher, he does everything he can to help you. You will have to work for your grade and I do not recommend missing a class. What he lectures on is what you will be tested on. Yes you have to read the book and note set on your own time. Again your grade is earned!

Very inspirational and engaged with students. He makes the hard stuff easy by explaining it his way. I was one of those who needed SI to learn it in depth. This isn't something u can just memorize. You MUST learn it! Great teacher. Would definitely take again. I earned my A. Worked and studied so hard.

He basically holds your hand through the whole semester. There are 6 lecture tests and 4 lab tests. He drops the lowest lecture test. There's no extra credit. Tests were a bit harder than the labs imo. He teaches from his own note set. Barely used the book at all. Your grade is earned, not given. I got my A, did you?

If you didn't pass this class then you should really rethink if you're strong enough to go through any healthcare program. Everyone told me this class would be tough and so much info but I found it to be super easy. If you can't even pass this easy course then how are you gonna be able to pass the courses in your program?? Class was way too easy.

Mr. Long is the most respected person I know. He's funny, exciting, and provides plenty of resources for studying like lab reviews, youtube videos, and his phenomenal note sets. He tells you exactly what you need to know for the test, which is usually a lot, but at least you won't be surprised. An A in this class is 100% attainable if you want it.

He is such an amazing teacher! Some say he is the easy professor but I don't think that's true. He just has a different teaching philosophy than the other professors. You get a sense that he really cares that you learn and not just memorize what he is teaching. He draws everything no powe points and that really helps it to sink in.

Bob long is the best AP professor ive ever had. He cares about students and loves what he does!!! He truly is always into his teaching. He draws everything out and helps you any way he can. Im a single mom who works 50 hours a week and he helped me get through this summer semester. He rocks take his class.

He doesn't just read off the slide show. I've literally never had a teacher who doesn't have a slide show presentation. It's the only reason I made an A. He truly loves to teach and does it well. He makes a incredibly hard course somehow easy to understand. I made a C in anatomy 1 but in Long's class I was one of the top students. Made an A!

I really respect Mr. Long, not only as a teacher, but as a person. I may have made a D (this class was extremely difficult for me) but i would do it all over again. He has been the best science professor I have taken in all of my college science classes. He really made me learn, and when I was in class for Microbiology, he really did lay the fundamentals of biology and anatomy.

The most amazing professor i have ever had! he should have been an inspirational speaker! he goes off on tangents sometimes but he has some awesome stories to share about life. he is someone that you can really connect with and learn from. If you put the time into studying, you will get an A or B. its a lot of memorization, of course.

The best teacher ever, Get Ready to Study Hard. 6 lecture test and 4 lab test and the final exam. Not extra credit, he have he's notes book and they're really helpful. He's funny and amazing teacher, he would have time for everyone if you need to talk about improve your grades, but don't wast he's time and don't cheat, he will catch you.

He makes it so you understand it, he uses silly metaphors for some of his teaching's but if you find anatomy and physiology interesting, you will do well. I just finished professor Longs class off this semester with an A. His class is not super easy but as long as you put in the time and effort into your studying, you can pass! Take great notes, listen, and dont miss class and you should pass! He is an amazing professor and wants the very best for his students!

Currently enrolled in his A&P part one. I am already planning on taking him for part two. He is the best with lecturing and helping to ensure the whole class understands what he is teaching. This is a tough class but Professor Long constantly motivates us and reminds us that we are capable of anything we put our mind to.

I took this course almost 3 years ago and I still think about how awesome Professor Long is. His lectures were incredible. He draws every concept on the board and makes everything make sense. I'm halfway through earning my Master's in Health Education at TAMU College Station and he remains one of the best professors I have EVER had.

by far the best professor here at del mar. you get what you put in. amazing, caring, available outside of class, motivational speaker. would not recommend taking this class with a lot of others, since it requires a lot of work. go to s.i., read the textbook after lecture, use the a&p models in the student success center.

Mr. Long was my professor before this site was created and is still loved by students. He is one of the reasons I was able to graduate. 12 years later I am still grateful for his way of teaching (he would show you physical examples to help your memory) and it did! Flat out amazing professor. Lectures are so descriptive and show so many detailed drawings. I'm currently taking this class so I don't have a grade yet, but he provides multiple ways to help pass exams/practicals and you can tell he really loves what he does. 20/10 would recommend.

Before taking this class online during the COVID-19 pandemic, I was worried I wouldnt do well with as it very dense, however Professor Long has laid out his curriculum very well and fairly easy to follow. He did not provide extra credit and does not curve any tests. He truly cares about each student and their circumstance. I take his 2402 summer!

Prof. Long is an educator first and a biology professor second to none. By happenstance, he taught my section of BIOL 2420 in FA21. He takes a complex subject like microbiology and distills it into a manageable and enjoyable experience. Consider yourself blessed if he is your instructor and take advantage of the opportunity to learn from him.

Dr. Long is the best professor that I have ever encountered. He really helps his students and breaks the information down to be able to understand. I am about to graduate nursing school and I his lectures still help me during the program. I would suggest being there for every lecture and ask questions! It is hard to fail his class.

Mr. Long was awesome. The subject was very difficult, but he managed to make it fun & bearable. He was inspiring, kind, and passionate about human a&p. His tests were well written, and he does excellent note taking alongside the class. A very interactive and enjoyable class, would recommend!

I dont actually go here and did not take anything with him in person. But I wated all his videos because my professor wasn't cutting it. Professor Long was a great teacher, I took him for the summer and he did everything to ensure his students learned. He created his own booklet to study and I recommend studying for that over reading the chapters because the stuff he is testing on it'll be on the booklet. He's such a kind person and very understanding about situations.

I wish he could be my professor, I watched all of his Youtube Video for my A&P 1 and 2 from another state lol. I keep watching his clips over and over for every exam and practical, the only source I know I can trust for my classes. Just came to check and happy to see he is still teaching.
