Science is not my best ad I have a B. I made D's on all of the test with the curve and still did good in the class. Lots of participation quizzes, 4 test, and some extra credit for doing things outside of class! He is an amazing teacher and you will enjoy the class even if you hate science. Very funny and relatable. Usually moves test back.

The first day he asked us what gravity is, like really what gravity is, not what it does. He asked us this because we so often know things without really actually knowing them .He is VERY passionate,funny, kind and easily approachable. Bob is an amazing teacher, only guy who has ever made me laugh when discussing copepods and chemosynthesis

Bob is super passionate and hilarious. He is very clear and he will repeat the same thing over and over until you understand it. He is super flexible on his office hours, but he does not like when people walk in late and he gives 12 random pop quizzes throughout the semester. Class was one of the best I have taken at TCC.

Bob is great. He's hilarious and gives lectures that keep your attention. No book needed so don't buy it. TAKE HIM

By far one of the best professors I've ever had! His lectures are entertaining, and unlike some classes, you actually learn the material! You can really tell he loves what he does. If you have the chance to take any class by him, do it. I would take another class with Bob in a heart beat!

So far, Bob has been the best professor I've had for any subject. He's so much fun and loves what he does. I hope to have him as a professor again for my future science credits. Don't ever pull out your cell phone during his lecture, that's his one pet peeve and he will let you know! I never thought I would learn as much as I have in his class.

Lutz was by far one of the best professors I have ever had. He inspired me to change my major to marine biology. He's super cool and presents the material that makes it easy to understand.

There is not one bad thing I can say about Professor Lutz, he knows the material he teaches and makes it interesting. I will say that attendance is mandatory because he does give pop quizzes, but his lectures in my opinion are interesting enough to make you want to go to class!! Easy A, and a great and inspirational professor!!!!

Great, genuine guy. There are 4 pretty simple tests (3 + final) and 4 short, 300/400 word assignments. His study guides are very broad but they do prepare you for the test. I needed the textbook to complete them. Fairly easy class. The only downside is that he assigns the homework assignments with only a day or two to complete them.

Bob Lutz is one of the best people I have met in a LONG time. He is really the sweetest guy and really wants to make an impact on his students. This class is easy-peasy as long as you go, pay attention, and take great notes!

Lutz is a fairly good teacher. He is very knowledgeable and will answer any of your questions. You MUST read the book! Thats the only way you'll pass the tests!! Be sure to do quizzes and discussions because those are easy points and will help you down the road....I would surprisingly take him again.

Professor Bob is GREAT! I took him for an express science class ONLINE, It sounds crazy but he is prompt about weekly updates so that you are able to stay on top of your work. DO the discussion boards ON TIME & ace the quizzes. Get the book because your test will come from some of the quizzes and reading material!

Favorite professor I've taken at TCC! He is fun and passionate about the material he is covering and makes the class very enjoyable! Tests are not bad if you go to class! Pop quizzes are given at the end of many classes but they are only about one or two questions and are on whatever you just finished covering in that class.

Loved this class! You must study for tests and sometimes he throws in "trick" questions, but I learned a lot and was really inspired by his lectures and how much he loves what he teaches! Gives interactive examples that can be fun and really helped the material stick!

12 pop quizzes (that are EASY!!!) so you have to go to class, but he drops your lowest 2. 3 tests and 1 final (NOT accumalative). He's super cool and funny and keeps lectures interesting. Gives good study guides. I 100% recommend him! I wish he taught other courses as well!

BOB IS AMAZING. He is incredibly funny and is very passionate about his work. He cares about his students AND the environment. His classes are enjoyable yet somewhat boring at times. He loves when students come to him for review of material and he gives extra credit if you come to him to see your mistakes after exams. You don't want to miss out!!!

I took in the SUMMER of 2015 it was an express class. A LOT of material was crammed into the 6 weeks. Although if you go everyday to class and take good notes then you will pass. You have to participate in class with the clickers they had. That's how you took most of the quizzes. The final was majority of the tests we took.

I liked Bob! He always made jokes during lectures. He has the lectures available to print. There are many pop quizzes, but always super easy and 2 questions. Drops lowest 2. I never used the book and only used notes to study. 3 tardies 1 absence. Will help you whenever you need it. If you go to class and just listen, you should do fine.

Mr. Bob is probably the best professor I've taken yet. He jokes around alot and it makes the class flow smoothly. His lectures are very clear and they are exactly what's on the test. I just studied the powerpoints he puts up from class and got above 95 on all the tests. Awesome guy and an even better professor.

Give him candy. He loves gummies. He's a great teacher and a decent guy. He'll pop up out of nowhere and start a conversation with you. But don't get twisted if he mispronounces your name, he's better with faces.

I took Dr Bob's class in the spring and it was very inspirational, educational, and he is a lot of fun to learn from. He is there for his students and enjoys their input. I definitely recommend taking any class with him. He does have many opinions, and opinions are good things, they start conversations!

He's a great professor, you will learn a lot about the environment, there is a lot of reading and you have to read to pass the test. I would take him again.

This class was the easiest online class because Lutz had clear instructions and gives a weekly announcement of what is due for the week, he also extended the home work for me twice he is very understanding and wants you to pass. The homeworks are exactly the same as the tests with a few extra questions. I would take him again.

Great professor! He wants you to be successful and provides the resources to do so. The material is easy to understand, and Bob does a great job at explaining it. He's easy going and fun, and made the entire class feel comfortable. Go to his office hours, because it's very helpful. If you're not great at science, I recommend his class!

Professor Lutz was a great teacher! You have to work for your grade without question. As long as you study hard you will pass. Tests are hard, so create a good study guide.

This class was fairly easy with a total of 2 exams worth 300 points total, 5 discussion board posts, and 10 assignments. The exams are made up from the assignments that you do, so if you study up on those assignments & read a little you can pass with an A. I didn't know what to expect for the 1st exam and failed it and am now passing with a C.

I took this as an online class, he was great! Super easy but does not accept late assignments, so just do your work according to the grading rubric and you will get an A.

Bob Lutz was a great professor that paid attention to what his students needed and what he needed to cover. His class in lecture heavy and he has pop quizzes that makes you go to class but he tries his hardest to make lectures fun and engaging. I would definitely take him again. If you're looking for an easier science class here you go.

A very simple and easy online class as long as you do the assignments and read. He gives you weekly updates in videos which I liked and helped me to stay on top of the class. I would definitely recommend.

Professor Lutz is very passionate about the environment and gives great clear lectures that you should probably show up for. His passion for the environment is the reason why he wants you to show up for class also he will give surprise quizzes. But really a great teacher, jokes with his students, and gives you clear expectations on the class.

Professor Bob is AWESOME. He truly cares about his students and wants us to learn the amazing subject that is earth science. Come to class. This is my 2nd time taking professor Bob and i wish there was more teachers like him at TCC. TCC is truly blessed to have somebody with so much knowledge that does so well with connecting to students.

This man is a gem. Although he does lectures for the whole class he is extremely funny and uses lots of visuals in his power points. If you think science is boring, Bob will make it really entertaining and he knows lots of fun facts. 10/10 great man!

Great class, good structure, not an over abundance of homework or things I don't need to know to pass this class, but enough to learn something. I like Professor Bob and I would take him again.

He is a cool professor, and he is very consistent. But if you are lazy in this class you won't do well, and will be trying to swim fast to a passing grade. If you do all the homework on time and read the syllabus requirements you will do well. He doesn't respond quickly if you are in his online class though.

He's a solid choice if you have a busy lifestyle and loads of responsibilities maybe take another professor. You have to do a decent amount of work which is expected, but overall he is not a bad professor I recommend.

Chilliest instructor ever

First, I took this class online. Super easy. One discussion board and one assignment per week. Tests are EXACTLY like the assignment questions, put them all into a Quizlet and read a little bit of those particular paragraphs and you'll get an A. Sometimes he is a little behind on video announcements but never later than Tuesday morning. Take him!!!

Bob definitely has been my favorite professor. He honestly cares about his students and is so nice. He has pop quizzes almost every other class so I would recommend showing up. For tests, I would recommend studying a quizlet. Although I did not receive the grade I wanted he was so helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend taking this course. :)

I took Professor Bob for ESC1000 and his lab. The online class was very easy, one disc. board and one assignment per week. The tests are just like the assignments and you can find quizlets online for both, making it really easy. Still a lot of reading and notes, but put in the effort and you'll get an A. Great professor. Taking him again next sem.

Professor Bob was definitely one of the best professors Ive ever had in my college career. He actually cares about his students and their grades. He really takes the time to explain things and will work with you one on one if you have additional questions. He is also very personable and super nice! I took him for ECO1001 online and ECO1001 lab.

I took Professor Lutz's class online this semester and found it to be very simple and to-the-point as far as instructions and grading criteria goes. He is very funny, very responsive, and direct. Especially for an online course with limited interaction, I commend him on his responsiveness and kindness! Easy A if you READ and participate!!

He's a great teacher he really cares about the students. But since I took this class thinking it was going to be an easy GPA booster but it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. If you attend ALL his classes you'll be fine and make an A. You just have to put effort into his classes. He also gives a lot of pop quizzes at the end of lectures

Professor Bob was a great teacher. Man he responded to messages and emails very fast. He gave all the information needed for test an exams to you to study and be able to pass his class. Not work heavy at all and his work is very self explanatory and straight to the point. Very easy class and thanks to him I will be graduating.

Very organized class. He's the sweetest man ever. I took online and he would send out short weekly videos. He's adorable. Very easy to pass by putting in some work. There wasn't too much work to do each week: one assignment and one discussion board. He uses honor lock. Book is necessary and has to be purchased. Definitely recommend him!

I took his class online and it was pretty easy. For homework he assigns one discussion board and one quiz to go with one chapter. Very manageable workload, quizzes are all on quizlet. He is very nice and responds to emails quickly. I definitely recommend this professor.

Bob Lutz is a great professor. I genuinely enjoyed coming to his lab. He was funny and easygoing. He lectured for about 10 minutes before letting us get started on the lab. All the work was incredibly easy - if you need a lab take this class. Bob also loves Derd!

Professor Bob is amazing! Very sweet and his class was easy. 1 discussion and 1 MyLab a week. He has a total of 3 exams which will be easy if you study. My only issue is that he's not the best with email or Canvas communication and he uses Honorlock for his exams. He also struggled with Canvas a little bit but it wasn't a huge deal!

Bob's lab is super easy, the labs are simple enough and are easy to get a decent grade. He takes away the lowest grade and you're only graded on labs and the final. The final is a bit harder but nothing to bad. My only complaint is that he is a bit hard to reach outside of class, but beyond that he's great. FSU Pathways students would recommend.

Professor Lutz is awesome! His lectures are interesting and easy to follow. Attendance is not mandatory but he does do easy 10 point quizzes most days that help to get your grade up with easy points, so try and go to class. He gives lots of opportunities for make ups and really wants to see you succeed.

This class is so easy to complete if you are looking for another elective. You only have 1 multiple choice assignment and discussion due each week and the answers are easily found. There are 3 tests including the final, no honor lock. I never had any problems requiring me to reach out but if I needed to he seemed like such a sweet Professor.

Professor Lutz was a great lab teacher. Every assignment is a lab (group lab work). There is one final and it's the easiest final if you study the study guide he gives you. Take bob he is very sweet and wants the best grade for you!

Professor Bob is one of the nicest and most caring professors I have ever had. Very easy assignments each week (Discussion board, homework and quiz) and 3 exams, no final. The exams are honorlocked but are right from the quizzes! Study up and do your work and you'll do just fine. I finished with over 100.

Professor Lutz was amazing and cared about all of his students. The final was the hardest part, the labs are easy and he lets you work in groups and will provide assistance if needed. He always made labs fun and made the best jokes. I recommend him as a professor 100% and would take him again if I could.

I had Professor Bob for two semesters in a row and he is the kind of teacher you never forget. I don't really even enjoy science but he makes it fun to learn about. You can tell he is passionate about what he teaches and that he genuinely cares for his students. He is such a great guy and I highly recommend taking a class with him!

Show up, participate in labs, and study for the final (he gives you everything you need to know for it), and you will make an A. The lowest lab grade dropped! There is no homework outside of class. One of my favorite professors at TCC!

Very easy class, very sweet professor. Used McGraw Hill for assignments, quizzes and finals. One discussion board and two chapters (five assignments) total due each week. A few interactive assignments but are interesting and unique. No midterm, Final exam was open note and easy to complete. A fun class with a kind professor.

I loved taking Professor Lutz's class, and I wish I took his class in person. One time, I forgot to submit all the assignments on Sunday that week, I was devastated and I emailed him. He answered very quickly and kindly opened the assignments back up for me as he could tell I was distraught about forgetting! Mcgraw hill assignments take forever tho

Great professor—he's very passionate about his organisms, especially the copepod. His tests are heavy but very straightforward if you keep up with the material. He's super funny and makes class genuinely enjoyable. Highly recommend taking this class.

McGraw Hill assignments are awful though, so beware of the 70 concept smartbooks. He drops your lowest score in each category of work at the end of the semester too!!
