First test was a cake walk, second I found quite challenging. Fun class but can drag on. Overall I think its one of the better classes I have been involved in at Cap.

The field school (2001) was sometimes tough, but was a great hands-on experience. Bob is a great teacher with a sense of humour.

Best class I've ever taken! We have gone on field trips to the cemetery just north of the Capilano College parking lot to dig up bones.

Awsome teacher great fun easy to get along with makes class a lot of fun. Recomend you take any class you can with this teacher.

MUCKLE!!! he's awesome! great sense of humor, he totally captures your attention, makes me actually wanna learn. he's not the easiest marker..but at least it's for our own sake.

I love this guy. I found the 123 midterm/final challenging, but not overly so. I still went back the next term to take 124! He is an amazing teacher, hilarious and informative. I wish he taught more classes so I could take him again. Yay for Muckle!

Excellent lectures, great attitude and approachable. However his exams are more brutal then they need to be to adequetly test a student on course information. In other words his exams are to broad.

To say that he is absolutly fascinating and the best prof I have ever had is too little. I wish he taught more courses 'cause I have taken all of them and I'm going to miss his lectures so much. Bob you are the best EVER !!!!!!!! Don't ever change!

He is a hard marker, especially when it comes to research papers, but because he is so good at teaching, so kind, and his lectures so interesting, it does not matter at all that he marks hard. It was really worth taking his class!

the miderm and final are easy if you study and come to class (make sure to take notes). but he is extremly hard on marking the research paper. i enjoyed his class a lot! HOWEVER, ALL THOSE ****ERS IN THE COMMERCE PROGRAM MADE IT QUITE UNPLEASANT. COME TO COLLEGE WHEN YOUR ACTUALLY READY!!!

BEST PROF EVER!!! Take any and all of his courses! His lectures are interesting, well organized and so funny! I love Muckle! He is funny, charming and gosh...I cant say enough good things about him. He tells you exactly what will be on the test/exams. If you study your notes you will do well. This man is undoubtedly the best prof ever!!!!!!!!!!

I think I am in love. I wish he taught every class at Cap.He makes learning easy and fun. I have never looked forward to a class so much. He is honest,hilarious and such a great guy. Any person who says something bad about Muckle is either jealous or probably didnt show up to class or study. Muckle is money and time well spent!

I wish all instructors were as funny and interesting as Bob. The text is VERY short and to the point which makes it easy to study for the midterm and non-cumulative final. The research paper is difficult becuase of the number of sources you need and the strange format. You get to the end of the semester to finish it without losing marks though.

Bob is a truly amazing teacher. He's broadly informed and very intelligent. He has a sharp wit and a jovial nature. His work ethic is fantastic and he expects the same from students. Muckle will push you hard and reward your effort with occasional praise and a good mark. He's very kind and compassionate though he'd be loathe to admit it.

He is a good teacher but spends alot of time talking about nonesence. His notes are useless, and he makes you know the entire text book word by word. He is the hardest test marker ever (especially with his essays).

great teacher, Love bob , did the field school. he's such a funny teacher and is really helpful if you make the effort to ask. Highly recommend

great teacher, gets really excited sometimes. in anth 123, really easy marker on take home q's. ( average mark was 29/30 ) best teacher iv had at cap so far. class lecture follow text perfectly, great at explaining

Mr. Muckle is very interested and knowledgable in what he teaches and this gives the student's a motivation to learn about the material.

muckle is awesome. he is funny and he definetly knows what he is talking about.he is a bit more difficult in his second year coarses though. but he pretty much tells you what's gonna be on the exams, so as long as you go to class you should get a good grade. he is a bit of a hard marker when it comes to second year essays.

Bob Muckle is one of those types that will look you in the eye and amusingly berate you for not knowing how many bones are in the human body at 8:30 in the morning 5 minutes into class. But by the end of the semester you'll look forward to class like no other. He expects university level work, and knows his stuff. (taking my second course with him)

easy, funny, but sorta awkward sometimes. defs an easy an interesting course, pretty much tells u exactlyyy whats on the mid-term before hand. It'd be a better idea to attend his classes because he does elaborate alot from the textbook. recommend taking this course

Tough marker but great guy. Class was never boring, and the topic is extremely interesting. I'd recommend him to anyone who is dedicated to their studies. He marks a bit hard for his papers. But all in all I'd take him again just for his personality. Always smiling, always has a story, gets side-tracked but gets the information to you eventually :)

My absolute favorite teacher. So easy (I've had 3 A+s with him so far, taking another course with him this fall). The content is very clear and gone over in the text if you didn't get it in class. He tells you everything to expect on the exams and easy assignments (usually only 1 per semester). Very very highly recommended

If you were ever told there is no such thing as a stupid question this guy will convince you otherwise. If you are generally interested in Anthropology or have the ability to pretend then this class is gonna work. If you are an idiot, hes gonna find you and let you know. Very helpful with exams, papers, and in helping you understand course material

I highly recommend the course! He is incredibly knowledgeable, always has a great story to tell and keeps the class entertaining, yet informative. This was my third class with him and I have to say he was one of my favorite profs. The assignments are a little time consuming but his exams are easy and he's more than willing to help you with anything

His archaeology class was my favourite class at Cap. His talks are very interesting and although sometimes off topic he holds your attention the whole time.

Hilarious and interesting. He will tell you exactly what's on the exams. I took two of his classes and thoroughly enjoyed both. Just don't take it too personally when he calls you out for asking a stupid question. After a while, you can tell that he's ridiculing you in an endearing way.

One of my favourite teachers, always willing to help. the classes are super engaging, even for 830 in the morning. outlines everything of the tests, and the questions for archaeology. for any essays though he can be a bit vague. not difficult to get an A in the class though.

Funny, friendly, and not overly demanding. He made the class seem harder than it actually was. He gave us detailed outlines of the midterm and final, and he was willing to help with the research paper anytime he could. I highly recommend taking one of his classes.

Loves questions to begin class! Read the textbook, articles, attend class and you will do well. Gives direct hints at M/C and gives (3-5) possible essay questions (he will choose two). Essay exams focus on integrating textbook, article, video, and lecture material. One of the most vocal instructors I?ve ever had against academic plagiarism.

Mr Muckle is a fair teacher; he expects professionalism and engagement, and is very helpful when needed. As long as you attend classes and read the books when assigned, you will do well in Mr Muckle's classes. But if you're disruptive or disrespectful, watch out.

Great speaker, makes dull topics interesting. Doesn't like other people's opinions, so just sit and listen. Gives you the exam questions a few weeks ahead so very easy. Must go to class, as exam is based mostly on lecture. Essay is time consuming. No presentations, or participation required. Easiest A I've ever gotten. Requires practically no work.

he is one of the most easy going prof's. he lets you know what is on the exam and the essay is based on what was learned in class. attendance is one of the most important key aspect to passing his class.

He knows the material well, and therefore makes the lectures easy to understand. He does get off topic sometimes, or will tell a life story lasting the whole class. Readings are easy, but tests are based on Lectures. Be aware, he will make fun of you if you are a student who asks dumb questions, are sleeps in the class.

Absolutely amazing teacher! i loved him so much, if i wasn't transferring, i would take a course with this teacher every semester. I enjoyed his anthropology class so much, there wasn't a point i wasn't excited to go to class. i chose anthropology as an elective, and i had no idea i would love it so much. My favorite class all year!

Favourite prof by far! I think I've taken everyone of his classes. He's really funny and a great lecturer. Show up to class, he goes over everything and is very clear about his expectations. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. He's the best.

Probably the best professor I've had to date. He's taught his whole life and it definitely shows. He knows what works and what doesn't and he has fair and reasonable expectations. He's a joy to listen and learn from since he's so engaged, passionate, and wants you to to be interested too. He is funny and extremely engaging. Would take again 10/10.

Bobbie rocks! He is fun, funny, down to earth person. He is approachable and real.

Muckle's lectures are really interesting, and all I had to do during the semester was do 2 multiple choice tests and write an essay where everything you had to do (even what to write for each paragraph) was outlined super clearly for you. Relatively little effort was needed to be put into this class.

His class was the only one I was excited about week after week. A kind, easy going guy to approach outside of class time as well. I would take more courses with him even though Anthropology is not my focus. Very passionate and knowledgeable about anth.

Great intro class, Bob loves what he talks about and honestly just wants you to get a good grade and pass. No other components to this class other then 2 midterms and a final which he outlines for you. Funny and witty. Only thing I didn't like is that he spends a lot of time in the start of each class talking about things that don't relate

good professor

As a kid I always wanted to be Indian Jones. Bob Muckle saw that (and corrected me on a few of the movies artifact retrieval methods) and over the many years of my Collage, University and professional life he encouraged, supported and inspired me to never give up. Im now a multiple award winner in the field. FYI , he often references Gerry Larson

Bob often rambles in lectures, but stay alert cause he will occasionally mention something useful for the *take-home final* (Yeah ikr lol). The midterm was super easy too. The only tough part was the film review paper. Good guy, hilarious, would take again, EASY A.

Bob is one of the best proffesors I've had. He's funny, loud, friendly and a great guy. His lectures consist mostly of random rants, but when he gets down to teaching, he teaches well. The textbook is short and easy to read. Exams and the paper are fairly easy. If you show up for class and study, you'll do well. Highly recommend his classes.

Bob is one of the best professors I've ever had! I took the arch field school with him as well and it was the best experience ever. If you show up and participate in class you will get an A+. The textbook is very short and easy to understand as well. He does go on rants but he teaches very well when he's not off topic.

Nicest prof I've ever had! I've taken many classes with Bob while at Cap and always pick courses he teaches over others. I took his field school which was very fun yet informative! He super hilarious, engaging and really cares about connecting with his students.

Bob is my favourite teacher I have had at university. His lectures were interesting and informative, plus he brought out skulls and pottery to show you examples. Tests were the main percentage of your grade but if you studied youd do well. No participation mark and no pressure to say anything in class. Gave clear instructions for tests and papers.

It was an online course, and I did not have the opportunity to meet him in class, but I felt Bob is friendly. He gave lots of time for the exams and assignments. The exams are not heavy, but lectures would help get a better mark for some students like me, I guess, and this class had no lecture. All in all, he is a lovely and fair professor.

Bob is a cool professor. You don't experience so much stress when you take a course with him. His books are easy to read and understand, and he doesn't give you lots of assignments. There are very few questions for the exams, so you have to spend time reading the book and his PowerPoints if you want a good mark. He is nice and knowledgeable.

Bob took over one of our classes as our teacher went on sick leave. seeing him again made me realize how much I enjoyed having him as a teacher before. He understands that lectures can be boring tries to make them engaging and is efficient in his teachings. He doesn't expect you to memorize unnecessary info and tells you what needs to be studied.

GOATed tenured prof. Knows what he's teaching and delivers dry content in a humorous way. He realizes his first year class is likely not a priority and marks very fairly and is extremely understandable. His experience is obvious and if I could I'd take every class with him. Get to learn plenty, get entertained, and receive a fair mark.

A great professor.

His grading criteria is based on two exams and an assignment. He tells before the exam what he will base it on. If you take his lectures and make notes of what he teaches in class then you will score a good grade, just follow whatever he says about exams or assignment. His lectures are boring just so you know but still attend them for good grade.

Bob is a passionate professor who brings the course material to life. While he can be a tough grader, his engaging lectures and helpful feedback make the class worthwhile. unstuckstudy was a game-changer for my study prep.
