Bob is the man.

Its been a few years since I had this character, but his presence will be known to me for generations to come.

This guy rocks, what a fun time. I mean... we watched office space in class... It doesn't get any better than that!!

He is an awesome teacher! He explains things great, he is funny and we usually end up talking about sex as a symbolic part of the story! HE is great!!

Myers loves the simpsons and beavis and butthead... HE ROCKS!!

One of the best teachers at LHU. He's incredibly nice and funny. Additionally, he's more than happy to help you at any point when writing a paper. Take his class you won't regret it!!

The best professor and advisor at LHU. He will go the distance for a student and actually listens. An awesome, intelligent man! He is truly the best English professor ever!

Dr. Myers is awesome, I never liked any of the classes I had until I took his lit class this semester...you should definately take him.

They are right about the favoristism. He system-teaches. After the first class, you know how the rest will be.

enjoyable professor. he does play favorites (esp. with males and people in English Club). pretty easy classes once you know his system, though, and I did learn a lot... but Hicks and Pollard are both better professors.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Myers! He's extremely helpful & he makes his classes so much fun. I would recommend his classes to anybody - even if you're not an English major. LHU is lucky to have him.

Great dude. Always conducts class in a fun and interesting way. Its awesome to see how he relates works of literature to Seinfeld or Beavis and Butthead haha.

Bob is a great professor. He does play favorites but you can be a favorite by participating a lot :) You'll learn alot from this guy as long as you go to class!

He's a great professor and really connects with the students. Like, he makes sure no one feels like he's playing favorites with other people. He treats everyone equally.

Bob, is the best professor on campus. He makes everything fun and laidback. I love taking all of his classes. He is even helpful when you have a crappy professor for another class, he will help you with that class.

amazing guy! All you have to do is actually participate and try to open your mind and you can do great in the class. You do have to pay attention in class, so you can retell what was in class for tests. But he is so helpful and so incredibly fun. Almost Transendental you could say

This teacher is great with little effort I got a B+ he is a great teacher and clears up any misconceptions that u may have

This is a great guy and alot of fun and easy teacher, I hated literature and he really broke down for me and made it easy without doing anything i got a B in his course

I had Dr. Myers for both ENGL240 and ENGL205. The man is a genius! Totally one of the best professors on campus. Take his class if you get a chance.

Myers likes to put on a show in front of the class. He's very likable, but is different one on one. There's no doubt, he knows what he's talking about, and is always willing to help his students. He is, however, a very harsh grader. His tests are killer. My advice is to read ahead and ask as many questions as possible.

Dr. Myers is an amazing teacher with a wealth of knowledge. Not only does he explain the text in great depth but he brings a lot of outside of information that is beneficial. His tests are easy as long as you take notes and go to class.

Dr. Myers is plain amazing. He is an awesome teacher. Before I took this class I was a litte upset, I hate literature. I hate poems, but he made everything so easy. He gives you everything you need to know to pass the test, and its easy to get an A. TAKE HIM HE IS AWESOME!!!

Myers is an exceptional teacher.Noone is interested in taking lit. its just required but if you take it with Myers you learn to enjoy it, his break down of writtings are amazing..sometimes out side the norm..but thats what makes his class diff. if you have yet to take lit. TAKE IT..not too hard and a good time

He made Literature very interesting! I wanted to go to class.

He was incredible in class, but what did it for me was the day I asked him to help me schedule. He already had my records printed out when I got there, and he told me everything I needed to know perfectly. The first time I felt like a professor was excited to help me. I walked out of his office feeling like I had just regained my faith in humanity.

Yes, he definitely lives up to his great reputation. No wonder he is the English Chair. Not only is he a great instructor, but seems to be just a generally all-around nice guy. Take his class!

Dr. Myers is a great professor. He picks fun stories and makes understanding them fun. There's no wrong answers during class discussions. Do the reading, come to class, and pay attention and you'll get a good grade. Review the small details before exams (author names, story titles, etc).

Myerssss!!! He rules! Made lit class worth going to.., easy grade if you go to class and pay attention. Only thing I dodn really like is being on camera the whole time while in his class

I had him in 1999 when I was a freshman and he was AWESOME!! So helpful and great in class. So glad I had him my first year!

Dr. Myers is passionate about his subject and he is very good at getting you excited about literature. American Rebels was all novels so there's a lot of reading, but as long as you do it, there's no problem. Also, a few of the books are in the public domain, so you can go to librivox.org and get audio copies.

I took a GenEd English with him once, and afterwards added English as a second major. He is fun, interesting, and always helpful. While he does like Faulkner, I have to forgive him for that due to the epicness of his teaching and personality. I always left his class feeling like I learned something, even with a reading that I've beat into the dust.

Dr. Myers is awesome! His class is very interesting makes you really think! book is used heavy but if you go to class, pay attention, and take notes the tests aren't bad as they are essay form. so study the little things as well. In group class writing but very easy and fun! TAKE HIM!!!

Very Helpful Instructor. I hated English in High School but I actually enjoyed going to his class. Very easy going professor and will answer any questions. I would definitely take another class with him if I had the option.

Dr. Myers is sweet! He makes class so interesting, and he's fair in his grading. Exams aren't too bad if you don't mind writing a little, but they're definitely doable. I wish I could have more classes with him...def one of my top 5 profs at LHU. I recommend taking him...you won't be disappointed!

I absolutely loved dr.myer's composition class. He was always willing to help us out whenever we needed it. I would definitely take him again in the future.

I didn't like literature during highschool. Then I took ENGL110 with Myers. My god, he made it actually interesting to me, to the point where I wanted to read. Sure, his tests are hard and have a lot of writing, but pay attention and you'll do well. I loved him, favorite professor so far.

He's a great professor. Very easy going and laid back. Take his classes!

He is a great guy! I took his composition and literature classes and he is amazing! He grades fair and is always willing to help.

He is the best Comp teacher around. Very easy and helpful. Only did 4 papers all semester. Gives you plenty of time to do them too. Class is very easy and sometimes boring. We would learn about easy stuff such as quoting and summarizing. The only grades are the papers and the final.

Dr. Myers is such an awesome guy. He makes the material easy to understand and worth showing up to class. There are in class group writing assignments every once in a while, a term paper, and a few exams. He's a very enthusiastic morning person which makes his 8 AMs bearable. Definitely recommend!

Composition with Dr. Myers is a good class. It can get boring but Dr. Myers is a pretty nice guy. A lot of times in class you'll do small 10 points assignments, a lot of times in groups. This is so if you miss class a lot it will affect your grade since he doesn't take attendance. Grades papers fairly but it is a step up from high school papers.

Dr. Myers is very nice and helpful. He conveys the material well and in an interesting manner. He is very clear on what he wants for papers and assignments and will review things (explicating a poem, using quotations, finding sources). One of the best professors I've had thus far at LHU.

Dr. Myers is a great! This is my second class with him. He tries to make the class more interesting since most people aren't excited to read. There's only 3 tests and they're all writing, but they're not bad if you show up regularly and take some notes. He doesn't take attendance but randomly does group writings in class and a participation grade.

Funny and actually makes you laugh on days you thought you couldn't. Very clear, knows what he's talking about. Communicates with students very well, not a mean bone in his body. Not a guaranteed A however.

Myers is a nice guy but he can get on your nerves easily, especially if you're not a morning person. We had three short tests and three short papers. If you go in and ask him for help he's more than happy to. Don't ask for extra credit, he's totally against it. I never even bought the books for his class, just look up free versions online.

Possibly one of the best professors I've ever had, he's such a cool guy! He makes Literature interesting, explains what we go over really well, and the tests aren't bad at all. If you show up to class, read the assignments, take notes, and listen, it's an easy A. He's an easy grader and is understanding. I highly recommend anyone to take this prof.

Bob Myers is a legend & deserves the highest amount of respect. He walks into the classroom ready to teach and help his students; he isnt pompous. Hes also really funny & makes the class enjoyable. Dr. Myers wants you to succeed and gives a plethora of opportunities for you to do so. If you hate his class, Im assuming you also hate literature.

Overall great professor. At some point he will ask you how one survives a bear attack.

He was wonderful in Lit he made me enjoy reading boring stories that I never thought I would enjoy.

Go to class and you will pass and barely need to study for tests. he does grade you at the end of the semester for participation. he has plenty of in class discussion though. doesn't post grades on D2L. an amazing professor and all readings are on d2l.

He provides you with the material he wants you to read and then you have to complete a discussion post at the end of the week. The discussion posts are worth 10 points and then you have 3 tests. The tests were pretty involved and were hard to take if you didn't read the passages and his lectures. I sparknoted everything and ended with a B.

So helpful and a good professor. Made class interesting !

Dr. Meyers is an amazing professor. If you want to do well go to class and participate.

Professor Myers is an amazing professor and human being overall. He cares about his students and wants every student to succeed. If you ever need to take a class I would recommend him. 10/10 professor

Dr. Myers is probably the best prof I've had at Lock Haven University. He is a very caring and fun teacher and makes English enjoyable even for the people that don't enjoy it. All that he asks is a little participation in return and I guarantee you'll do great in the class.

Ok so he is a very great individual and he makes writing actually fun. My only problem with him is that in his online class, he does a horrible job at explaining some things. He had an entire week dedicated to sourcing and I left the week knowing less than I did originally. Still, it is a very easy class and impossible to fail if you try a little.

Great professor with a good sense of humor. Showing up, participation, and at least skimming the readings is necessary to do well in the class (sparknotes are a great friend for this class). The exams aren't a cake walk but if you look over the key points of all the stories you'll be fine. He can be a little moody on occasion but still a great guy.

Even if I wasn't interested in the material, the professor was nice and brought personality to the topic! You don't have to show up, and you can get by through the context clues and notes given in class. This is preferable, and makes for a good time. I still recommend attending. They catch me to talk in the halls years later.
