he is the nicest man. so understanding. gives you more than one oppurtunity to excel in his class. also gives you the option of taking the final, such a +!!!

Really is a nice guy. Can be a bit boring but if you pay attention and take notes not hard at all. Likes group discussion get involved to make class go faster.

Lots of work, art for children - fun and interesting, not too difficult if you do the work as you go. He is super nice and will help you if you need it.

He is easy and very clear on what he wants up front. Not a lot of reading. Gives you typed pages about the chapters and that what is on the test. Don't really need the text book. After test you get to argue if you think an answer is right and as long as you have a point he gives it to you! Very easy.

he's a really nice instructor. very willing to work with you if you miss an exam or assignment. test mostly from lecture notes he hands out. sometimes gets off topic but overall i recommend as an instructor

Awesome teacher!! YOu don't need the book because he copies everything for you. He is very good at getting the class involved and working with individual issues. The tests are based on the lectures and after words he is willing to debate the answers with you and possible raise your score!

Really good teacher, and a really nice guy. Classes are fun, he encourags discutions. After tests have been graded, we review the test as a class. On a wrong answer, if you can defend your reason why you picked the answer you did, you will get the points. Highly recomended teacher.

he is very helpful and wants u to do good in his class.. the papers a self explanatory. he gives u a handout about what he wants in the paper and just go from there. after taking a test the next class to just go over your answers and if you got any wrong explain y u got it wrong and if he likes ur answer he'll give u the extra points! great prof!

GREAT teacher! I recommend him for CHDV100.. He makes a summary for each chapter, all tests are based on these NOT the book (LOW USE). The papers are easy and self-explanatory. He's really nice and helpful. Just study the summaries and write the papers and you'll do fine!

Mr. Sasse is a sweetheart! He is very passive but if you take his class you will learn that he really loves teaching this subject. He does not make you use the book and most of the class is discussion. He makes handouts for each chapter, so make sure you keep these and review for the tests. Overall a very satisfactory teacher!

Great teaher. Very easy to get an A. Just do all test and study what he gives you, he also tells you whats gonna be in the test so pretty much is easy. and do the few assigment he assigns and thats it.

He is very nice, though his class is borderline TOO easy. Because of this he grades things harshly if you mess up a little on one of your assignments. If you don't mess up and don't make him work too hard, you'll do fine. Also, he didn't seem to like when people did more work than they had to, because that meant he would of had to as well.

This teacher is very fair and nice! However, don't mistake his relaxed personality for being relaxed in grading. You will be accountable for getting your work done and being on time in turning in assignments. His class is fun and you will learn a lot! Pay attention to dates and get work in. He is fair and reviews all material for tests.

Professor Sasse is a chill teacher. He tries to make jokes during class which helps to keep the attention on his lectures. Tests are easy if you study. He tells you exactly what's going to be on the test and gives you a study guide. No book necessary. His 1 paper, an oral and an interview are very easy. Easy A!

Seriously, this guy is boring. He is too nice and tries to be funny but its hard to even chuckle a laugh. Course material is way to easy... If you took PSYC 100 then everything you learn here is almost the same, barely showed up and I have an A so far

I absolutely LOVED THIS CLASS! He is an amazing teacher! He makes everything crystal clear, If you don't pass the test its because you don't study. You really have to study to pass but the curriculum and the other assignments are easy if you pay attention to what he wants and come to class. TAKE IT TAKE IT TAKE IT!

This guy is great. His class is so easy. If you take notes and pay attention, you will get an A in the class. There are a few homework assignments, but they aren't hard, they just take a hour or so to do. So if you do those well, and do your tests well, you should get a good grade

Very easy class, would be hard not to get an A. Read your notes before a test. You have to do a super easy "project" at the end of the year.

The only thing that you should be worried about for this class is if you are on the wait list or a crasher he will not let you in if all of the seats are filled. But this was an extremely easy class.

2nd class taken with him. Very nice and understanding. Flexible, loves what he does. Don't buy the texbook...seriously.. he gives you a hand out of exactly what will be on the test.

Excellent teacher, really loves what he does, and extremely helpful. Just don't leave anything out on the projects or your grade will suffer a lot. He really got me into the teaching field and is very helpful when it comes to getting your permits done and will stay behind to help you as long as you need him. Would definitely take his class again!

We never used or referred to a book. Easy class, laid back teacher. Sometimes class was a little slow but you just make the most of it. Easy assignments. If your a good student then this is an easy A. Those who didn't come regularly to class struggled.

Lots of guidance, hands on science activities. Best not to miss a class. He tells what he wants to see on test, but you have to memorize some things and apply principles to specific situations. Strongly recommend this class.

Professor Sasse is a wonderful teacher. He really likes the topic. His tests are hard and dry vocab centric. He isn't a tough paper grader and he gives you a chance to get a better grade on your tests if you debate your answer. I would definitely take him again

He is helpful, clear on what he wants, and also kind. his tests are a little hard but aslong as you study, you hould be fine, he realizes we (students) have a life so he doesn't make it a big deal if you miss class, aslong as it is not an everyday thing. I'm taking his class again, ans im excited!

I hardly showed up and I still passed. You should go to class for the notes though. There are 2 observations, a case study, and a research topic. Do those and you'll be fine. Quizzes are fairly easy, comes straight from the notes. He's really nice I would totally recommend his class. No textbook needed!

when I first started taking Professor sasse class it was CHDV 135 I thought at first that it was easy but as the semester went on it was kind of hard and the quiz was a little hard for me but if you work hard for it and turn in all the projects on time you will pass his class and I got a C from my final grade

I took Sasse for the first time ever spring 2015 and he was so great at teaching Child development. Made me get an easy A . Easy class and he made it fun! Would take classes with him in the future! Defenetly recomend for child development classes

Easy A when you show up. Made the lectures fun and easy to follow. All of the assignments he gives months ahead of time. Tests are not that hard. He's a little slow and hard of hearing, but really very nice. I would take his class again. No textbook required, but he told us to keep that on the down low ;)

I loved his class, he printed the notes and gave them to us. Study your notes and you'll pass your tests easily. The group projects, observations, and response paper were easy, he gives you the outlines! Follow them and it's an easy A. If you pass all your tests you don't need to take the final. Oh don't spend money on a book you won't use it! :)

This class is incredibly easy. It moves along pretty slow though. If you show up to class and review the notes he prints out you will pass. There is only two 2 page observations, one research paper, and one very easy group project that you present in the form of a game, as well as a couple of tests that are straight from the notes. Very nice guy.

Lectures seem to take forever and he does have that monotone voice which can easily put you to sleep. The class in general is really easy, there is one groups project but a few writing assignments and its up to you to remember when it's due and finish them on time. The textbook isn't really needed since he prints out the work sheets.

The class is pretty easy. Lectures are straight forward and the tests cover everything discussed in class. Very easy to get an A on the tests. When you get your test back, he will let you debate the answers for credit. Homework is a burden. He assigns 2 observations in APA format, which require time and effort, and one research paper. Overall good.

If you don't pass this class then you're the one doing something wrong. Easy A, you don't need the book, he prints the notes for you, study the notes and you pass the test. Follow the observation outline and you get an A on the papers. 2 observations, 1 group project, 1 research paper with reasonable due dates spaced out through the semester!

I loved this class! He's so funny, the tests are easy if you have taken the notes and studied them.(I study like an hour on index cards). I'm thinking about switching majors! I originally took this class just to be a time filler. Would definitely recommend!

Loved his child development class. He was funny and his lectures were interesting. As long as you follow his guidelines for papers you will get an A. My favorite college professor so far!

Amazing professor! He's calm, sorta shy, and very inspirational. His notes are very understandable. All you gotta do is pay attention, participate in the extra credit classes, and do the projects he's assigned. His tests aren't hard at all. You'll study and remember it all in a second and not have to worry about re-looking at his notes.

He was one of the easiest professors Ive ever taken. We never used the textbook. For his class he mainly gives you a study guide and you just focus on that for lectures. He grades papers super easy but you have to watch out for the formatting.

Took Professor Sasse for CHDV 100 and CHDV 115. Very kind hearted, sweet, and caring person. Also socially awkward in a good way. For CHDV 115, you have to do Service Learning Community Service hrs, 2-3 essays, and 1-2 presentations. Whether which speaking or typing an essay fits for your schedule. Totally take him again. I adore Professor Sasse!

This is a fun class, you get to do art almost every week! I learnt a lot about how to help children be more creative. Lectures are entertaining, write down everything he writes on the board and he will ace the exams. He gives you a study guide that lays out exactly what is on the test. 3 short papers, 2 Art portfolios and 2 tests easy A

Took him for child development 110 &115. He was an easy teacher, very interesting class and he cared about his students. Tests and papers are worth a lot so make sure to try.

loved this class& it was super easy to get an A on every assignment, but it wasn't boring at all. Tests are the same format every time& no surprise questions. He lets you turn in essays early& if it's not "A" worthy, he'll tell you exactly what to fix& let you turn it again up until the due date! if you don't get an A in this class its ur own fault

Ive taken a couple of classes with Sasse. I failed my 1st class w/ him b/c I thought the class was so easy that I kinda left it in the back burner & forgot about it. Since his classes are a lil slow, I found participating in the lectures helpful to stay engage & w/ the assignments & exams. Also, keep track of your own grades. He doesnt use canvas

Professor Sasse is super laid back and easy. 6 tests but he drops the lowest one and 2 papers. The papers are super short and simple and he is an easy grader if you follow his guidelines. Highly recommend, an easy A. Study for tests though.

This class is based solely off lectures and reading the handouts given. There are ten assignments you are graded on but he is clear on the detail he wants every assignment. Would not recommend if you need more than just a handout. However all his handouts are practically the test. He was a great professor and I really enjoyed his class.

You read the free online book at home and then you go to class and discuss it. There are questions you have to answer afterwards plus 2 main papers. I was worried as I haven't taken a college class in years but the teacher really makes grading easy. Just follow the instructions and you will be ok! Easy going professor, i'm sad its over!
