Smokin' Hot!
She is a funny teacher and she helps you out when you need it. Her grading is not hard 4 exams final and no homework due (for winter) lab is easy and fun.
She is nothing less than excellent, plus she is worth going to class to see. Wonderful during LAB and class sessions, now RCC needs more professors like her that not only look but have the brains to go with it.
She IS really corny. Hehe. She tries to be funny and I guess thats her way of making the class comfortable with her or something. She gives homework, but doesnt collect them. If you wanna have a fun class, take her. But if youre the type who really really wants to learn from the best, then I suggest you start looking for other professors.
Totally nerdy and cheesy. Doesnt like immaturity. Cool teacher and she will let you leave if she is tired, sick, or just finished. Tests are pretty easy if you do the assigned homework and get it. Do not count on her to collect it though. She chooses fun labs. I suggest her for summer or winter because there is not alot of extra work. Easy.
Outstanding!!! If you want to laugh and learn then take this class. A persons sense of humor is usually tied to their intelligence. Mrs. Grey must have a very large brain because she is absolutely hilarious. She has made chemistry exciting and fun. I learned and laughed alot, which I think is a challenge in itself for a topic such as chemistry
Easy..easy..teacher. Extremely helpful. Makes tons of jokes. Class environment is very laid-back. Lectures/lab directions are crystal clear. She is as lazy as you are...lol. Highly recommended. Great teacher. She looks kinda hot too.
I had her for CHE 2A and CHE 1A LAB. She was very helpful and overall an amazing professor. Any questions I had were answered clearly. As a lab instructor, she taught me much more than my lecture professor. Trust me, take her -you won't regret it. (Plus she's hot -I'd go straight for her.)
Professor Grey is the shiiiiznit...I had her summer class recently and class was a blast...She knows how to dish out jokes and is a good sport when us students dish em back at her. She knows her**** and she will help you out if needed. To bad she doesnt teach Chem 1B...Take her you wont regret it
One of the best teachers I ever had at RCC. I highly recommend her for lecture and lab. The only reason I dropped was because of content difficulty and not because of her.
The posts are true, she is hot, even when pregnant. This professor is laid back and makes jokes, although the students are too uptight to laugh. IF you read the book, do the homework(she does not req that you submit), you should do fine. In addition, she reviews tests and gives multiple choice which is unheard of for hard sciences. Go Grey!
Kind of a dorky sense of humor, but actually HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR, which makes the (usually boring) lecture bearable and somewhat engaging. Helpful to the max. Cute as a button, too.
professor grey has a relaxed teaching style. she breaks the information down to elementary form which helps in understanding. coursework can be lax esp near the end of the course. prof grey relied on multiple choice exmination and abbreviated lab work. granted, it was her first time teaching chem 1b. hopefully, she recognizes this and addresses
According to IUPAC Nomenclature, if Dr. Grey was a chemical she would be 100% MILF!!!
She is a great professor. She is always willing to help. very clear in what she is looking for. Very fair. i highly recommend you take this class if you want to do well and learn. i got an A but had to work for it.
Her lectures are clear and she keeps you intereted during lecture. Her tests on the otherhand are rediculously hard. I've never studied so much for a class.
Don't underestimate her exams, they are extremely hard. Review examples given in class, because the book is sometimes too easy. She teaches really clearly, and will explain things over again if you don't understand. Hands out packets (makes it easier for note-taking). Jokes a lot in class, helps you stay focused so you don't die of boredom.
Great teacher! Excellent lecture! She gives handouts for each chapter to the point where the textbook is unneeded. She's always willing to help during class and office hours. Goofy sense of humor that keeps class from getting boring. Very nice to look at!
Great teacher. I'm taking her right now for summer session lab and shes not all monotone and stuck up like half the other teachers. Pretty laid back and a chill class in my opinion. Will probably look for her again if I come back to RCC to take 1A. Great teacher!
AMAZING! She's fun and has a unique way of teaching. I use to hate chemistry because in high school my teacher was Evil, but she made it enjoyable and FUN! I highly recommend. I'm actually upset she's not teaching 1A in the fall.
Professor Grey is excellent. Very funny and she knows her stuff. Very helpful and intelligent. ALWAYS willing to help the student understand the material. Cares about her students and and their success. Even when the semester ends she will still help you throughout your academic career.
She is so beautiful, fun, kind, highly educated. Also, her class is so fun that you will never get tired or bored no matter how long the session is. she makes the lectures very easy to understand and enjoyable . I highly recommend this professor to everyone.
She grades leniently and is honestly the most down to earth professor I've ever had. She tells you what is on the tests. Homework is optional but you really should do it because its harder than her tests. She reads these, so I'll tone it down and just say that she is extremely attractive. It can be distracting.
Yeah we know she reads these. So what! Shes Hot! But besides that shes really cool. Her quizzes and tests are manageable. As long as you study your stuff you should come out with an A++. Its cool that homework isn't required as homework shouldn't be. Definitely should take her if your looking to take ochem in the future, you wont regret it! ;)
She is Beautiful, smart, highly intelligent, down to Earth and fun. She makes the course work plain enough to understand the concept. Her Tests are not easy to those whom have not followed the lecture and done outside course work. I appreciate that Homework is not mandatory and not apart of the grade, it is used as a practicing resource. Awesome!
She promised the class a final study guide, but she didn't post it until less than 24 hours before the exam. She is picky with grading some things but really lax with others and she is unclear about what she is looking for. She will butcher your post labs even though you followed her directions. For tests, learn the random facts she mentions.
She actually made this class interesting! Assignments were appropriate and clear. She was available during her stated office hours and very helpful! I would love to take another one of her classes!!!
She has a very bubbly, quirky personality and keeps you awake during lectures. She clearly enjoys getting a rise out of people. The workload is reasonable as are the tests. Follow her study guides and you will do well. Also, she is hot. She has nice 'functional groups'
She is always very upbeat in lecture and in lab. She is always willing to take the time to explain concepts to students. She is flexible in the labs with lab reports. She keeps you awake in lectures and I actually looked forward to them. I've heard horror stories about O-Chem but she really made it enjoyable. Would highly recommend her!
Whenever I went to her office she was either not there or she would be extremely late. You also can't rely on her to return your emails. She says to "bug her" because she'll blatantly not respond to you the first time. Tests were fair and lectures were just okay. Don't forget your lone pairs on mechanisms!
She was unprepared for lectures and she was always late to her office hours. She taught NMR and didn't even know what quantum spin numbers were! Her final was formatted in a confusing grid and her lectures were from the publisher, not her. Do not take her if you truly want to learn the subject. Don't forget water in your table of reagents!
Her expectations for the students and herself are not the same. The required pre-labs waste hours of what could be helpful study time. Sometimes in lecture it really just doesn't seem like she is confident enough in the material to teach a course in ochem. Explanations to describe chemical bonding involve electron kissing, divorce, ect...
Amazing professor!!! she is extremely passionate about the material. She knows her stuff, if you have questions she answers them in a friendly tone. Very approachable. The class is definitely challenging but she makes it a pleasure. Be very careful though, she is extremely hot!! so it may be difficult to focus. She is very fun, Highly recommend!!!
Take her, she's rad.
Take her for OChem. If my toddler knew terminology, Dr Grey could teach this material to her. (In other words: Anyone can understand this stuff.) Put everything in prelabs you think you should and you should not miss pts. Some quizzes had tricky wording but you learn what is meant by the second quiz. Hmwk not due! Fun teacher.
I took ochem 12A with her. It is very hard. Tests are 5 pages long and you have to explain everything. No homework. Just quizzes and tests that make up your grade. She puts homework problems and labs that are due on line the day before class, but most people need it soon than the night before class. She is very nice and fun. But very hard.
She was my favorite professor so far. I learned a lot in this class. My advice is to be prepared for everything, not just for mechanisms. I love her. Not an easy class but the best chem class I ever had in my whole life. Take her. Professor Grey is fantastic. Love her!
Too bad that I think I messed up my grade this semester. But I will study harder for the final. she is great. I think she is doing her best to help us. I hope to see her again but I am sitting here and crying that it might not happen. she was the greatest teacher so far in my whole life among all chemistry teachers i have ever taken. Thanks for all
I am not certain what to right she is good but the class itself is too hard
I think she is a good lecturer but she purposely makes classes unnecessarily harder than usual because she wants to "prepare" students for future graduate work. She is extremely fast paced and makes exams extremely hard. Great lecturer but her class is way too hard.
Unnecessarily hard wanting to prepare her students for graduate work but we not even in the university yet and with her fast pace it's almost impossible. No extra credit for this class, not enough clarity. Criticizes the author of the book all the time and not ready for the lectures.
Very fast paced. Not enough clarity. No extra credit. Not bad but would not advise to those who are not familiar with organic chemistry
Wasn't bad, but very unclear. No extra credit.
This is my personal opinion only. She is intimidating and very arrogant. Her lectures are easy though during her hours she is not available.
Grey is by far the best professor I've had at RCC. She is funny and cute and if you study, you'll get an A. Beware, o-chem is a hard class.
Professor grey is a very good lecturer. The class is fun and interesting. Study your buns off ! The exams are hard.
It was hard
Love it!
I never worked so hard for a C
I took the 8 week Chem-2A course. It was tough and a lot of information very fast; I am so glad I took it with Professor Grey though. She explained the information very well and made lectures fun. You just have to be willing to put the time and effort in and you'll be fine. I ended up passing with an A. :)
I took professor Grey's 8 week intro chem class and it was alot of material fast. I literally devoted my life to chemistry but she is positive and friendly teacher that it made the process easier! I recommend her to anyone! Very smart and inspiring!!
I also wanted to add hilarious, clear grading criteria, there for you, and tests are tough. One of the best professors I've ever had. Makes chemistry interesting and completely understandable. Puts it into real world perspective she really cares about her students. Tests are tough, but if you study you'll do fine! Put in the work togetthegade!
took her 8 week class. didn't show up to lecture unless there was a test or quiz but went to lab. Homework isn't mandatory but if I did it I probs would've gotten better grades on the test and got an A so I'm disappointed in myself for being lazy. she has a great personality and is very engaging. bring her well done del taco fries for extra credit
She lectures to the class like they're populated by 3rd graders which sounds like it would be annoying but she does it in a way that's not patronizing and keeps your attention. This is great because the material can be dry but she delivers it with unwavering exuberance even if she has pneumonia. Very approachable, excellent teacher.
Dr. Bobbie Grey was a very engaging professor, her lectures are very clear you can even print them out yourself. I hated chemistry and did not remember anything from chemistry in high school but she made me understand it better. DO THE HOMEWORK! It may help you pass the tests and quizzes. They are not due but they are helpful.
BY FARR BST PROF. SHE CARES. BEST SUMMER LAB.
Very good and clear
Bobbie Grey is a very sweet person! She cares about her students and does everything to help everyone pass. She's great!
I despised Chemistry until I took Grey's class. She made the class fun! She can be corny at times, but she really cares if students understand the material. Chemistry takes a lot of practice with math, formulas, and the periodic table but nothing drastic. Her PowerPoints are extremely important. Do the homework! Practice literally makes perfect.
This is a difficult class, but Dr Grey is a great lecturer and is very entertaining during class. Pay attention in class, go to office hours if you need to and you'll do fine.
Professor Grey is awesome. She cares that each student understands the material before moving on to another section. I personally didn't use the textbook, but there are tons of extra problems in them if you need it. Both lab and lecture material were manageable and broken down into lessons that could be understood. Would take again!
Great professor. She really cares about her students and the subject. Not the easiest class but she keeps you motivated and is always willing to help.
Professor Grey really does care for her students. The labs are easy points along with the quizzes. The exams are not too bad, but make sure to study. She reviews what is going to be on the test the class before, so there are no surprises on the exams. Also, she's hilarious! Probably will never have a chemistry teacher as good as her.
She's very kind and if you're vocal in her class she might remember your name or you'll be remembered as "The one taking OChem". It's okay though she likes to tease her students a bit but she loves her subject and is very good at getting her point across but missing her class can get confusing since she doesn't update powerpoints after lecture.
Dr. Grey made a somewhat daunting subject a lot of fun. She is a very animated professor, and her energy and enthusiasm help you remember the material. Her lectures are very clear, and she makes them interesting. Textbook is for practice problems, her lectures cover the material well. Lab was interesting and very on-subject with lectures. Take her!
Awesome professor, exams are very fair as she tells you EVERYTHING that is going to be on them. Some of the exams have extra credit questions that are usually easy. Very animated personality that is very approachable. She is highly educated in her field and will answer any question successfully that you throw at her. Definitely would recommend!
I took this class for Summer'18, Professor Grey is so hilarious and her lectures are easy to understand! Even her exams are very fair with a extra credits and the questions are straight forward from the powerpoint! Take her and you won't regret it!
Make sure to sttttuuudddddyyyyy. Tests make up a lot of your grade and are fairly difficult. Shes usually a little late to class and very late to lab like she didnt know when it started. The only real thing that bothered me was the fact that she said okie dokie smokies all the time
Starting in 2019, Grey has really changed her way of teaching & became more difficult. Labs are okay but lecture work is where it's really at. Be prepared to do more studying & more learning on your own on the side because her lectures alone won't cut it. Even asking for help from her won't help because she'll put you on the spot for not knowing.
Took Professor Grey for Fall & have to say shes a great professor. Lecture & HW are not mandatory, but if you struggle or havent took Chemistry before, than you should definitely go & practice at home. There are two major exams worth 40% so keep that in mind. Labs are easy, nothing too hard & are mandatory since she takes attendance.
Grey is an easy professor when compared to some of the other faculty at RCC. Expect 3 exams multiple choice 40q's worth 60%, 4 quizzes 20%, 6 online homework assignments($40 access fee for sapling)+15 lab assignments20% Prepare for 'okie dokie smokies I'll make a study guide for the exam' and then not post it online until the night before the exam
Took her for winter20 shes easy good person but the coursework is very difficult ur teaching URSELF for us she made it 35 questions multiple choice except final 60 questions, make sure you study and the book is needed but is expensive snap me if u need the book Titoqq No lab quiz or pop quiz no labpractical and she lets u leave once ur done in lab
Prof. Grey is great. She is very helpful and will sit down and explain something until you understand it. Taken during Covid so... When in class she is always on top of recording her lectures and posting them on canvas. When taken online she sometimes forgets to post. Overall, great professor I would definitely recommend her.
She's a sweetheart, really helpful with labs and flexible with due dates. Even with covid, she's really helped so much with her lil youtube videos. She's so sweet compared to others on campus (richardson-bewarde of him..) lol
Prof Grey is very nice dont get me wrong but I dont understand why she gave us 2 chapters to learn 1 day before finals week. She's a bit lazy and takes weeks to grade. Emailed a lot and never get a response. I understand covid is hard on everyone but other professors accommodated for us. She did not. She posts so much lectures even on the weekends.
She explains things really well, but she is incredibly irresponsible. Even when classes were held on-campus, she would be late to lab up to 40 minutes. She did not respond to e-mails; office hours were inconsistent; modules, material, lecture videos were posted irregularly; and her last lecture videos were posted 2 days before the final.
She's a nice professor however I don't recommend taking her during COVID. She was really scattered with everything. She would sporadically post lectures throughout the week and even into the weekend. She would also take forever to grade anything. She was lecturing the day before the final and the exams were so difficult compared to what she taught.
Professor Grey is very caring and understanding. There are several lectures that she posts every week and sometimes it can be a lot. I just watched those and took notes, I never really looked at the book or did the homework problems (they're not required). Her tests were straightforward and there were no surprises. The thing I slacked on were labs.
Her lectures are really amazing. Her homework is optional and she goes over problems in her lessons so you should understand everything by the end of each video. She is pretty laid back as long as nobody in the class cheats, so don't cheat. Overall, it's pretty chill. I highly recommend her class.
At first I hated this class bc we had to buy all the supplies and then we barely used half. After some time it got better I suggest printing the slides and writing on the slides. I struggled on Test even if i studied. Homework you only have 5 tries. DROPS LOWEST GRADE. helped me during a time or grief. At the end i liked her and would recommend.
Overall great experience. This was a 6 week course. Everything was well organized, the lectures were great, and easy to understand. I wish I could have her for all my chemistry courses!
Uploads pre-recorded lectures on Monday of every week. Take notes on the slides as you watch the videos. Quizzes are proctored and every Thursday for the previous week's chapter but open note. Exams are HARD. "Homework" is online assignment(s) due at end of week but dont take a lot of time if you study material. Drops lowest grade in every category
From this class I learn two things. 1. Chemistry 2. She likes cheese and NaCl. Shes a very organized professor and everything she teaches you will be on the exam. Memorize the formulas and write them down in the note card and youre golden. Also remember significant figures. Best Chem Professor ever.
Her lectures can be a bit slow but it was enough for me to learn from. Exams were a bit hard cause of memorizations of equations and conversions. I could have gotten an A but I decided to be lazy and not do acouple labs :( Drops the lowest grade in each category and willing to help you. Just dont slack off or cheat
I love Prof. Grey! Her lectures were lighthearted and easy to understand. She is very understanding and considerate. It's like she actually wants to see her students succeed!! She answered emails fast and was generous with extensions. I wish I could take her for all my sciences! Chemistry is a hard class but if you put in the work you'll do well.
i took this class in 6 weeks, it was very overwhelming at first. definitely try your best in labs. they are key! there are prerecorded lectures, shes very understanding/caring. wants her students to succeed. be prepared to take couple hours of your day for labs/assignments. professor grey was great !
Took it during summer and although it was a lot of work, it was easy! Theres a test and quiz every week, lab assignments due everyday as well! The lecture videos are a lot but dont procrastinate on those! The lab kit and experiments were annoying to do, but the professor is amazing and i learned a lot from her! Shes probably my favorite professor
Took professor grey during summer, which was a lot. Had a timed quiz and test due every week and labs due everyday. Definitely have to study a lot and set a bunch of time aside for this class. She drops lowest score from every category to help grades and is always available for extra help when you need it. Make sure you pay attention to lectures!!!
I feel like these ratings are fake because this was the hardest professor I have ever taken. Your tests are recorded so do not even think of cheating, she uses YouTube for lectures, and shes pretty rude :,) maybe shes better in person but be prepared to study your head off.
Take this class. It was her first semester teaching this class and she did a great job. She's very understanding and the class itself is very interesting. There is quite a bit of reading and videos to watch, but you'll ace the tests if you keep up with them. She drops some low scores which is helpful if you had an emergency or missed a deadline.
Great class! No HW. Drops your lowest score for 2 quizzes, 2 labs, and 1 exam. You could save your dropped scores, and this means you can drop your final exam score if you do well enough throughout the course! I didn't take it and passed with an A. Lectures are never mandatory she told us we have the option to be online. Every lecture is recorded.
IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE CHEM 2B, TAKE IT with Miss Bobbie! always there to answer questions. you will have to download the lockdown browser. advocates for student wellness, truly cares for every student. Recommend HW problems (helpful on quizzes and exams). Goes through the labs so well. Great organization, Honestly, one in a million. Take this prof.
If you need a STEM-focused IGETC course, look no further to Prof. Grey's science history class. It takes world history further to a new level with more depth in the STEM fields. Expect to watch long YouTube videos though not all of them will be on the weekly quiz. Readings are broken down into small sections so homework is not too much.
Professor Grey has a specific teaching system, but if you engage with it, it works well. The lectures are helpful, and unstuck ai was a great study tool alongside the free textbook. Stay organized, and you'll do well.
Had to drop this professor, unfair treatment theres a Monday and Wednesday lab. For Monday lab. She gave extra time after class and more time to come in on their opposite lab but while Wednesday lab had to suffer with no extra time to finish experiment or opportunity to come in another day. Unorganized and unfair
Not enough time to finish lab experiments , majority of class had blanks on their report sheet. Unorganized, do yourself a favor and take another teacher!!
Professor Grey is an awesome Chemistry teacher and really patient with any questions anyone has. I really enjoyed her teaching style for such a hard class and she gives tons of resources for extra help!
Do EVERYTHING to enroll in her course. She's smart, entertaining, KIND, & a GREAT instructor. Sell a kidney to take her class. She makes ochem make sense & something I genuinely loved! Quizzes/test questions are learned in PP/lecture. Her canvas is SO organized. She does spatial repetition in class so you're actively learning in lecture! 100/10
Best professor I've had very organized canvas, shared how to take notes digitally (coming from an older pencil notebook person) for her lectures(either way fine but now sticking to digital note taking) gives lots of chances to pass the class. Silly, goes over things slowly for people who didn't understand Highly recommend
10/10 Would recommend Professor Grey to anyone. She's patient, kind, extremely approachable and very well-organized. I wish she would have interacted with us more during lab, she's so silly! Labs were fun, be prepared to smell some nasty stuff lol. She drops your lowest scores for: 2 lab reports, 1 exam, and 2 quzzes. Very fair grader!
Kind professor. Does her best to teach, doesn't put extra info on exams. Labs are fun but is hard to approach during lab for questions. She's nice and a great teacher, makes the concepts and materials seem easier. Go to lecture and learn for easy A.
Nice professor, but can feel intimidating during lab to ask questions. Study the lab before you go to class to have enough time to do the experiments! She drops 1 lowest lecture exam, 2 lowest lab reports (including the lab final), and 2 lowest quizzes. Extra credit is added to exams, and tests are proctored online with Respondus LockDown Browser.
