Mr. Hutchison is the best instrucctor alive! The only students who give him a bad rating are those who didn't pay attention or who sat way in the back! Hutchison is quite the talker. Unless you have an hour or two to read your book every week, choose another teacher. Most of your learning will take place there. As a teacher, he is always going off on different things, but is very helpful when answering questions.

Class was very fun and interesting.Really learned alot and not too hard of work. Very nice and extremly helpful ins. HOWEVER, one of his exams was from a previous text edition so a large portion of it was missing. He dropped it, but if that happens to you, ask right away instead of stressing it like i did. It will save much grief lol!- highly rec.

I took his class online. I got an A and put lots of time into it. I has to to lots of reading and writing. I was trying so hard to just get the work done, that I didn't have time to think about the subject much. I remembered nothing from this class. Take the class on campus if you can.

i really liked him. i thought his was funny. i never had trouble staying awake for his lectures. i didn't really think the tests were that hard either. the reading is interesting so it's not so bad to get through.

So Entertaining

I loved this class! He is so great and entertaining! He's great at teaching the info and the class wasn't that difficult... I really learned a lot of info that I didn't know before. Also the guest speakers that he brings in are so touching... their messages can be quite life changing.

This is a true story about Mr. Hutchinson. The other day, while I was at Fisherman's warf, I saw Mr. Hutchinson walking on the dock. Right when he was about to board the tour boat he slipped on a banana peel and tumbled into the bay. He splashed inocent torist from Africa and soaked them and He almost crushed an inocent seel! After about an hour or two they managed to get Mr. Hutchinson out of the bay. The San Jose Mercury News was there and cought the whole insident on video. Anyways he's a good teacher.

I loved being in his class! He was a wonderful teacher and I love the fact that he adopted a little girl and raises her by alone. He taught me so much and his classes were fun and entertaining.

His class was a cake walk. Attend his class do the easy assignments and study a bit for the test and it's not even a challenge. A lot of what is on his test he covers in the lectures so take good notes and you'll get at least a C+ on the test even if you don't read the book.

Awesome instructor! Mr. Hutchison teaches human sexualities in an incredible way. Easy A if you just pay attention and take notes. You don't even have to read the book and you can still get out of there with a great grade. Online you are able to take the exams as many times as you want until you get the grade you want!

He is an awesome teacher. I really enjoyed both his online Psych 101 and 110. The class is an easy A but you have to do the work. There are also fun weekly discussion post to keep you interacting and it forces you to stay caught up with the pace of the class. I learned a lot in both classes.

He's okay, but he lectures from the screen projector in a lecture room. Most of his lectures are straight to the point, but I think he does expect you to also read the class's textbook that goes with his lectures. ALL his tests are multiple choice, it's easy (if you study); all from class discussion, textbook, and his lectures.

I took his class online. It is not that hard because you could take the exam how many times you want before the due date. He only graded the highest possible score you got in the exam. I highly recommend his online class if you need psychology.

Take this class online!! Even if you don't think you can handle an online class...this is extremely easy. There are 4 exams and you can take them as many times as you want. I started the exams, printed them out, answered then all from the book and then went back and clicked right through it. Easy, easy, easy!

I took this online over the summer. It is only 4 exams and some chapter summary postings. (15 total). I slacked off big time, did none of the postings and got C's on all 4 tests. I ended up with a C which I deserved but I didn't even try and still got a passing grade. The tests however are pretty tricky, but your allowed unlimited attempts.

This class was harder than I thought but I went in thinking I would know everything about sexual behavior already. Do the reading and the homework and you can get an A like I did. Only complaint is I would have liked to know what questions I missed on the tests so I could learn from my mistakes but with an A I should'nt complain.

i took him for human sexualities last semester. he's way funny, just better not to get him mad ! if you study his notes and read some stuff from the book you should pass this class easily . plus the hwk for the tests are SO easy ! loved this class. very interesting. especially the videos !!

Very interesting class. He is helpful and willing to answer any and all questions. Reading the text is a must if you hope to pass the tests...not much homework which leaves more weight on the exams. If you're not lazy this shouldn't be too rough.

I took his Psych 110 class my 2nd semester at MJC. Studying for the tests is almost a given if you want to pass and I feel that if had studied more I would of gotten a B instead of a C.

Really funny guy, and very likeable. We probably watch 1 video on youtube or more a week on related stuff, they are always interesting or funny though. He'd rather hang out with us then teach. He also never took role past the first 2 days. However one day when the class was empty everybody that showed up that day got extra credit.

Prof had unfortunate family events to attend to during the semester. overall, his syllabus and announcements were crystal clear. complainers just never read his announcements or were impatient and anal characters. he also offers T.A. and internship ops to 'A' students at the end of the sem. posted quizzes weekly and exams were fairly easy. m.c. ?'s

The most FUN class you'll ever have! He's a great teacher who really knows what he's talking about. His tests are pretty hard, but the essays are easy. I took the class on campus and he got to know me by name. If you have any questions, and ask in person, he will explain for hours or until you understand. I HIGHLY recommend this class!

HE IS HILARIOUS! There are 4 homework packets that are fairly easy and he doesn't even read them, and he gives you a study guide with the exact materials before the test. He may not update the grades instantly, but his class was awesome!I recommend the lecture, not online. He is very expressive and keeps you entertained and knowledgeable.

Mr. Hutchison definitely made the class enjoyable. I have to admit I hated the subject we had to learn in the class. I had no idea it would be so sexually explicit, caught me off guard. Most of the time I didn't even pay attention because of the classes explicitness but I still managed to receive a B. The tests are NOT hard whatsoever.

Seriously how often do you get a teacher who loves what he does, and changes your perspective about how you perceive people in just a semester? not to mention, we basically did nothing. lol No exams, no final. AMAZING! I feel like I learned so much more than my other classes where I had a quiz every week, three exams, and a final on top of papers.

Class was easy.Quiz/test questions seemed tricky, but for the most part it was easy.Slow at grading a bit,but got it on time.Took in the summer and was only for a month, but wasn't so bad.Discussion questions every week and due at end of week, easy enough to answer as long as you talked about the main point of it all.

This teacher keeps the lectures interesting and funny. He always stops to answer questions. If you are paying attention the exams are not hard. You earn points for quizzes just by being in class, whether you answer the questions correctly or not.

Really helpful. A great person and teacher. Like's for the class to be involved and the lectures are clear cut and easy to understand. If you have a question he always makes sure to clarify what you need to know. Great teacher and class. Only downside is that sometimes he a can talk a lot.

There is so much I can say about Bobby. His class is humorous and insightful. He also is available after class to answer personalsexual questions which many students take advantage of. That alone is admirable. His class is very easy which is a little disappointing since I don't like to be spoon-fed info. However, you still learn a lot.

This is my second class I took with him. He is a great guy. This online class was super informative and super easy. I have no idea how someone would get below an A. You read his readings and post discussions. Overall he's an amazing person though. If you have the chance at some point TAKE A CLASS FROM HIM IN PERSON!!

Class was very quick and to the point. We didn't have to purchase a textbook or any books for that matter. Everything we had to read was very easy to understand. Discussion posts and essays were also very simple. He graded every few weeks and gave positive feedback. I learned quite a bit and enjoyed this class.

Listen. This is the easiest class I have taken yet. No textbook. I literally showed up to less than half of the classes, he barely takes attendance. There are two 500 word essays (are you serious?) and two exams, which are pretty much common sense. He refers to the movies he shows so be there for those, for the exams. It's chill. He's also funny.

Hutchison is actually a good professor but he doesn't show up for about 20 percent of the classes he teaches, It is probably from having tenure he doesn't care much about going when he doesn't feel like it but overall he is very informational when he does teach. I admire his knowledge of Biology and Psychology, his knowledge is vast..

I really enjoyed this class but I don't think I would have liked it nearly as much if I'd had a different professor. He has a very dry sense of humor, just like me, so i found him to be hilarious. He made lectures interesting and it is very apparent that he loves what he does. Over all we only had 4 grades, 2 tests and 2 essays, but they were easy.

The lectures are a little long, but honestly it's an easy grade. Just show up, take notes, and you'll be fine. Also he cancels class a whole lot, so check your email regularly.

This was probably the easiest class I've ever taken. Went to not even half of the lectures all semester and ended up with an A. With only two homework assignments, two tests (midterm and final), and no textbook.... this class was a breeze. I love this teacher. He's really cares about what he is teaching, and loves answering your questions.

If you need an A but do really care about learning anything, this class is for you. We had no quizzes, no tests. Only two 500 word essays. A discussion most weeks which we didnt have to reply to a classmate. At least 3 weeks there was nothing due at all. No book. If I wanted to learn it would have been mad. First grade was more challenging!

In my 4 years of going to college, Mr. Hutchison was by far the nicest teacher. He wants you to pass and will work with you if needed. His class was an easy A for me, just read your assignments and do your homework. Pay attention to the fine print, and dates.

This has to be the easiest class I have taken. It was just a five week summer class. All it was was discussion assignments based off some of the reading and 2 600 word essay papers. It is impossible to fail this class super easy and great teacher.

Professor Hutchison's online class was one of the EASIEST I've ever taken. We just had to write one discussion per week(if he remembered LOL) and two essays in total. Easy A class if you participate and there are no tests at all :) So if you want to get an A take him for Human Sexuality and Sociology. Good luck!!

Professor Hutchison made the class genuinely interesting to the point that I looked forward to his class. I left the class feeling like I had a different perspective on some topics, as well as more knowledge in human sexualities. He is also very funny! One of my favorite classes I've ever taken!

This teacher makes class interesting. The subject material can be a little awkward at times, but this teacher makes it very easy to get an A. There is minimal homework and testing. I've learned something new every single day I walked into that class.

Even though his lectures are long, he makes class very interesting. I always learned something new in every class. He is very funny and I would get choose another of his classes.

This was the easiest class I've ever had; there were two easy essays and one easy test. I have a few complaints though; he frequently canceled class with no notice, and he must not know how to keep the class on track so we got super behind schedule; this made for a super easy class, but if you actually want to learn a lot, try someone else.

He is one of the best profs I've taken so far. His human sexualities class is very informative and attendance does matter. He gives extra credit so be there! His tests are easy if you take notes. Overall a great prof, will be taking his socio class during the summer

Professor Hutchison is a great teacher who really keeps things simple. We had weekly discussions, and a few short essays. As long as you read what is provided by him, and do all your work; you will most definitely pass. I passed Psychology 110 online with a 100% by doing exactly that.

I have been taking classes at MJC for a few years and he was BY FAR the best professor I have ever had! He is inspirational and positive. He wants his students to succeed! He takes in EVERYONE on his waitlist, even if that means working extra hours. He does this beczuse he cares! I earned so much about our society and the truth behind it.

His class is based on his lectures, and we didn't need to buy the book. He's great and very talkative, so sometimes he'd get off topic. His grading isn't hard at all and it's an easy A if you pay attention and take notes

His socio 101 class is the easiest class I have ever taken. But he takes FOREVER to grade. It's kind of ridiculous... But it was a 100 student online class so I get it.

I loved his class! Not only did I find the subject interesting but I thought he facilitated the online class well. He's laid back and friendly.

My first semester of college, I took Hutchison for Human Sexualities. I gotta say, it was good to start off college taking him. He's very laid-back. He's very into what he's teaching. He's an easy grader. You'll learn a lot of things but you will pass with an A! Sometimes he gives out extra credit too.

He was an amazing professor! Would definitely take him again. He was very understanding. He allowed makeups at the end of the semester that really helps. He does disscusions every week and two essayS (not too difficult) Please take him

He is one of my favorite professors so far. He had no "textbook" all readings required were documents he published on canvas and he had very little homework. The two real assignments given were essays that all you had to do was write on topic and you'd get a nice grade. If you're taking Human Sexualities, pick him.

Literally the easiest class I have taken in all my years of school! There were two fairly short essays and weekly discussions, and he gave more than enough time for everyone to finish them. Some of the articles he provided were a little lengthy, but they were bearable to read. Overall, an extremely easy A!

Professor Hutchison is AMAZING. I took him online for Psych110. He assigns small reading assignments and discussion weekly (you dont have to reply to other students) and a small 2 essays throughout the semester. Easy class, great guy!

All assignments were very easy, they usually involved reading a short article and watching some videos then answering questions. This was a little time consuming. He did take a while to grade things but Im not even mad. 10/10 would recommend.

He graded 2 essays, some 'quizzes' which were basically your opinion, and the midterm and final which he puts up on the projector to do as a class, he did give us a couple answers on the tests. He makes jokes which makes the class very fun and open for discussion, he doesnt make your opinion feel wrong or judge you for anything.

Honestly, the easiest class Ive taken, thus far. The lectures were lengthy, yet entertaining. He was able to educate you on all matters while also keeping you enticed and part of the conversation. The tests were relatively simple, as long as you studied and the essay(s) were easy. I recommend this class because it is easy, fun, and educational.

Nice class that was not too difficult and was fun to be involved with and you actually learn and retain information. There's no judgement, only two essays (which is note based) and two quizzes (was only thirty questions each) highly recommended.

Prof. Hutchison was a great professor, first of all everything is posted the same day, you get a week to finish assignments and if you read the texts provided you have a sure A. Another good thing, no textbook was required all readings were provided! I would totally take him again!

This class was by far the easiest class I have taken at MJC. I had a really rough summer, so many tragedies and still manage to pass this class. I bought the book and yes it's beneficial, but if I were you save your $ and use google. Just make sure to watch the video he posts on canvas. Very lenient on grading, super easy assignments and exams!

I really enjoyed taking PSYCHOLOGY 110: HUMAN SEXUALITIES online with Mr. Hutchison this summer. It was really easy which is exactly what I needed in order to take 2 classes in the summer. A rule of thumb - you get what you put into class. The only thing to be aware of is that Mr. Hutchison doesn't grade anything until the semester is over.

I really enjoyed professor Hutchinson's class. It was super easy going and perfect for a summer class. He's not super fast on grading, like someone else on here mentioned, but it doesn't bother me considering how leniant he is with his grading. He's also super accessible by email. Received 100% and it truly wasn't that hard! 5 out of 5 recommend :)

Professor Hutchison is a solid teacher. He is disciplined in both Psychology and Sociology, therefore a well educated Professor. For Family Sociology, a lot of the people didn't show up or leave early because of his lectures which would usually get out of topic. They didn't realise that the lectures were meant to understand the topic. Amazing class

Took this class over the summer. Possibly the easiest class Ive taken. Just read through the chapters, answer the discussion questions, and take the quizzes. There were 2 essays and they were an easy 350 words.

This class was super easy and professor hutchison was super accommodating. I took this class all online, and he would post 3 weeks of work at a time, each module was 3 weeks long, and only consisted of a few easy discussions and quizzes. Not a tough grader. Participate and you should easily pass. Would definitely take again.

This class had interesting content and was really straightforward. You know exactly what to expect every week which is essential for remote learning, in my opinion. The book is a free download ebook, which is so nice. If you read the chapter you should have no problem with the weekly work, and the reading is easy to get through.

Extremely easy class. Super interesting, though. Bobby is a great teacher, super charismatic (which is helpful in a class like Human Sexualities). It's a great class to not take too seriously. Fun to go to, I liked taking notes. Watching the videos, all that. Great for credits, not so great if you wanna learn ALOT. I learned some, but not a ton.

Loved this class & the chapters we did. The class is easy and doable, be sure to read the instructions given for discussions and essays. He grades fair, minimal essays (2) and quizzes and chapter discussions aren't complicated. He is readily available to meet on Zoom and communicates well. Enjoyed the class and sad its over.

Overall this class was really easy. He gives a two-day grace period for late work, no questions asked. Every week we have to read 2-3 chapters from the book and write discussions and take quizzes on them. Only had to write one essay (summer semester, shortened-condensed class). No group projects. The class is free since the ebook is downloadable.

This class was really easy. The textbook was pretty straightforward and easy to understand. Quizzes were simple and reasonable as well. I would recommend this professor.

Very easy class.

Even after taking 5 classes and seeing how every one of my teachers were I think this one was the best. He doesn't give that much work plus the work is mellow. The best thing is that he gives extension dates to complete assignments and you still get full credit.

Great professor with well-structured modules and Canvas layout! The class is comprised of modules in three-week chunks with chapter readings, quizzes, and discussions. Easy class!

Class participation which can help or hurt your grade so be aware of that. Just attending class isn't enough to get the participation pionts. The grading criteria is clear. If you follow the instructions and keep up you should do fine. I enjoyed the lectures. Straightforward class so no constant guessing about what is being required of you.

Pretty chill class with a free textbook. Just read the chapters, do discussions and quizzes. Assignments were straightforward and graded leniently. Also found unstuckstudy helpful for quick review before quizzes.

The most sweet, caring, understanding, awesome professor that I have ever had. 3 small discussions and one 400 word assignment every week, but they are beyond easy. He isn't the best at responding to emails, but besides that I LOVED this class. If he could teach every college course, everyone would love college. 10/10 person
