Best professor ever! He would give great feedback over my essays during his office hours which benefited me as a writer. I received As in all my essays and I can't thank him enough! He values hard-working and dedicated students so don't skip class and participate in the lectures.

Chose him! He's one of those professors who changes your view on life after you've taken his class. He's very understanding, hilarious, and caring. You have 3-4 essays that he's more than willing to help you on, 3 quizzes from the book (5 easy questions), and the rest of your grade is peer reviews. He makes sure you learn, but not struggle.

Best Professor ever !! You will only have 3-4 essays and a few quizzes (online at home quiz) and during class also. He is very funny and caring. If you need any help with your essay, he will help you and tell you what is wrong with it and how to make it better. He cares about his students. Very easy class !!!!!!!

Excellent professor, I took him for both 1301 and 1302 and he is the best English teacher around. His homework is very simple and to the point and its really hard to not get a good grade. I recommend him to everyone i hear who is about to take an English class.

Currently taking him for English 1302. He is very thorough on what he is asking for in his assignments and is not a tough grader if you follow the instructions. I would definitely take him again! In addition, he is very hilarious but just hope your class has a sense of humor and isn't dry.

Took him for ENGL 1302 winter mini mester online. Because of the short semester, there was lots of work and reading everyday. But he left examples and explained it in detail. English is not my favorite subject, but he made it easy and enjoyable. Will definitely take him again for 1302!!

Easy class! Do yourself a favor and take him. Will place you in a group. No homework. Does gives a few readings sometimes. 4 papers. 2 mini quizzes ( 15 questions each) Directly from textbook. Very easy A. Prepares you for papers. Explains things to make it sound easier than what it is.

With Prof. Jones you always know what he expects from you because he explains everything very clear. You will have to use your brain because he expects you to think. You won't have to waste your time trying to figure out what he wants from you. Very helpful. Makes you think different about life. Watch your attendance. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Same as any ENG class, lots of reading and writing. Professor Jones is different because he is clear about his assignments and how he grades. Every paper gets a rubric in advance. Don't take if you are always late or absent. The essays count a lot, everything else counts only a little bit. Do things like he tells you and you will get good grades.

He is humorous and friendly. His pronunciation is clear that even international students can understand. The only thing you have to pay attention is the MLA format he is so strict about. To make sure, you need to have him take a look at your essay before submitting it.

Professor Jones is an amazing professor! I didn't have enough time to get my textbooks and I emailed him about it, and he immediately responded! Like seriously, it was instantaneous which was great. He also let me borrow the textbook for the class. He is always available for his students and the way he did his online classes was very easy to manage

I just completed his summer online American Literature class. There was a lot of work due every week and lots of reading. I enjoyed the course and I really appreciate Dr. Jones. He went above and beyond to be helpful. He responded fast to every email and had virtual office hours in WebEx. Better than all the other online professors Ive had.

I took the online course, and I don't regret it. The amount of work is understandable, and easy to finish. He gives good feedback, and reply to emails quickly. He asked to buy the two books. but I only used one (The Writing Arc). So, double think when buying it. Also, he understands if English is not your first language, but study for quizzes.

I've taken Mr. Jones for both 1301 & 1302. I chose him again because he's a great professor. Exams are based on what we read together in class and the chapters he assigns in the book. Essays are his thing. You get about 4 per semester. Provides all the help you can ask for. Attendance is crucial. He does not play about being tardy.

Professor Jones is great. He sets strict guidelines for what he wants in his papers, but he doesn't make you feel like an idiot for asking and trying to get it right. He's a great guy whos willing to show you how things are done. Reading is never oppressive, and the essays were 3 pages min, not difficult and only took a day or two to put together.

I'm so glad I took him. If you struggle in english this guy will help u no questions asked. Textbook is no need but will assign work from it. Very hilarious as well.

He is funny and joyful and he has even helped me revise my essay as it was already due the same day and got a 100. Seek his help and he certainly will.

Best English teacher Ive ever taken. His lectures are very simple and easy. No need to be concerned about essays because he assigns only 4 essays throughout the semester and they are very easy to do. Hell even help you out how to start an essay if you are having trouble. Highly recommend this professor.

6 week summer course. 7 discussion posts (in essay form), 4 journals (500 words), 2-3 chapters read weekly, 3 quizzes over reading and grammar with a final quiz over grammar, proctored. 4 essays that increased with difficulty. MLA format enforced and deadlines firm. Professor responds immediately and gives feedback. Take over 15 weeks not summer.

Professor Jones is a very understanding and hilarious professor. Unlike most professors, Professor Jones is a realist and keeps the class easy. Studying here and there is necessary but the class overall is easy.

He is extremely awesome! He cares a lot about attendance!!!! And also on the syllabus its required for a book. DONT RENT IT OR BUY IT... I rent it the second week class met. And we ended up using it only once literally.

Great professor!! Tells you from a get go that there will be lots to read. details everything in the best way he can and easily for you to understand. Literally will pass by doing your work. Never had to reach out to him for any means but for sure prompt with what he does. Grades are submitted weekly as it should and classmates are there to help .

As long as you follow his rubric you will surly pass. Same kinds of assignments,but differnt topis. never too much to handle. Three quiz's and each were 20 questions. The final was 50 questions. Easy, if you do the study packet.

This is a lit class, so expect to have to read a lot from the book and manage your time. The work is not hard but time consuming. I have him online for dual credit and I think his instructions are very clear and easy to follow. He answers emails fast an has online office hours. He is always nice and helpful when I have questions.

Assignments consist of 4 essays, 7 discussions, 4 journals, 4 quizzes. Warning! Due Dates Are Closer Than They Appear! So manage your time wisely. 2 attempts for both quizzes & are the same ques. My only complaint is that he's a slow grader but other than that his rubric is clear. Go to tutoring so they can look over your paper if you want A.

He is one of the nicest and coolest professor I had. He is very respectful to you and he will give you very good feedback on your essays. Overall, I enjoyed the class and it wasn't that bad. There is 2 essays, some quizzes, journals, and discussions. Overall, he is really nice and if you have questions, he can help you.

Professor Jones is an amazing teacher, in my opinion. I recommend taking this class. I took the class online, and it was intermediate. When writing papers, you are to put a rough draft, and your peers give feedback, which I find helpful. Professor Jones is fast when responding to an email and provides useful feedback on essays & in general.

This course was probably the best I've had in college. Everything was very well organized, and the material was interesting and never boring. Prof. Jones was always quick to respond and helpful every time I reached out to him with questions. His instructions and grading criteria were always clear. No extra credit needed if you actually try.

I really had fun with this class. Professor Jones made it interesting and easy to follow. The reading was time consuming sometimes, but the work was fun and not overwhelming. I had to LOL at the review below about no option for extra credit. THIS IS COLLEGE! Just study and do the work and you will be fine.

As long as you do your assignments you're good! Professor Jones doesn't give out an extreme amount of work that you'll find yourself stressed. This class mostly consist of writing essays we had about four essays if I'm not mistaken, a couple of journal, and some quizzes. Overall, amazing lectures this class had a very welcoming environment.

There is a lot of work. Five journals, seven discussion posts, two classmates' responses, four quizzes, and two five-page essays. He is a fair grader and discussion posts and journals are pretty much participation if you follow the instructions. I stressed over the essays due to their length. I would take him again.

Professor Jones is the man. His class was well structured and you knew what to expect. I made a very high A in the course and the workload was incredibly doable. Would recommend his course to anyone looking to get an elevated-level English.

So basically this professor was super laid back, the most laid back. When it came down to grading I would say it has students freaking out because he waits until the last minute to grade. So just take your chances on that. Other than that it's a very easy class just turn in the essays and hope he grades them on time.

To anyone who wants to take his class in the Lone Star system, it is the most regret that Professor Jones is no longer in the system. He was a good professor.
