Easy class if you meet every class meeting.

he is a very good instructor. if you care he cares. in the begining the class is not all that great but towards the end you understand his way of teaching. its an easy class if you show up to class and care about it or pretend to. he is easy to talk to as well, if you have any problems.

Class is a very educational. See government aspect.

He's the best teacher anyone can have, no homework, nice guy, very respectful, what more can you ask for?

took him for both govt fed and state. he is a very nice guy. alot of group interaction. only one test you do alone, others are group papers. come to class though, 33% of grade is class attendance. would take him a 3rd time.

mr martinez is a very respectful professor and he knows his stuff about our govt. there is alot of work involved but if you want to learn about our govt. this is the class for you.

Very helpful and conscientous about making we understand real world learning. Do the work and attend class and you will do well. I get tired of class complainers who are lazy students who expect an easy grade extra credit offered on all classwork.

The class my apppear hard at first. He has a lot of work experience and wants you to learn what will help you. Just do your work and you will learn. Show up to class prepared. Use the extra credit and you will do good in the class. He is fair.

Enjoyed the summer class. It is easy to do good if you go to class, do the readings do the assigntments. Don't let the immature whiners who want any easy A with no work discourage you. Don't be surprised if he gets to know each students name.

Internet course goes very fast in the summer. If you are ready to take 16 weeks in 8 weeks you will do great. He provides very clear expectations. Do the work on time and you will do great. He answers emails and phone calls. Learned a lot.

Do not take his internet class. He absolutely is not flexible when it comes to problems with the Blackboard system and expects each student to forsee problems. Yeah right--like I'm a fortune teller. There is lots of writing and there are high expectations for participation online. Tests aren't VERY hard, but are extremely time-limited.

the internet class expectations, deadlines etc. are very clear. if you don't get an a or b you are not ready for college. i had a c in the class because I did last minute work. but with more than 20 extra credit points i was able to increase my grade to an a. the professor is very acessible. the exams are not diffult if you keep up. he is fair.

The internet class can be hard if you are not use to doing work on your own. It is easy if you read the materials and stay on top of things. Don't get behind. He does not excuse deadlines. But he does gives extra credit at semester end if you missed work. The quizzes are not hard. Read. Study. Not too much writing as as compared to other internets.

Take the field trip class. Although they are real strict on attendance there are no exams just one final paper,, presentations and field trips. As first I thought what did I sign up for. It turned out okay. Everything you need to know is said over and over and over again. I gets old. But they say it for those that don't listen or take notes. Good.

the on line class course is hard if u dont no how to reed and right. he shood drop du students whoo dont read directions or r lazy and turn in wurk late or cant reed and right. get a kalendar to keep up with deadlines. u will right every week. not 2 hard. he helps. gives extra credit. he repeets instructions over. so reed. he ansers emails.

He is okay. Deadlines and are real. You must be in class to see what will be on the exams. read current eventsand read the book. ask him for help and questions after reading the syllabus and book. group work is okay depending if you get no slackers and some stars.

in the internet go to the orientation before class starts. keep up with his syllbus schedule and sometiems too many reminders. do the extra credit. i increased my grade from an f to c with all the reminder of extra credit.

WOW! were to start.. this class can be OVERWHELMING.. you hav eto stay on top of things and be on time.. (thats because i took it online)the guy is a great person, relates everything assignments test discussions to current events. take your time in the class, PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR ASSIGNMENTS

He's a fantastic professor, especially if you want to prepare for University work. I won't lie, his class is TOUGH. He assigns a HUGE group project at the end of the semester, and all work must be done outside of class. The class taught me how to collaborate, communicate, and write at an effective college level. Awesome professor but CHALLENGING.

Took the online class. Lots of writing required, and it's expected to be college level writing. Lots of extra credit offered. He is helpful if you ask for help and are trying to help yourself. HS grads don't like him because he doesn't hold your hand. Do the work, meet the deadlines, do the extra credit (it's EASY!), and you'll be fine.

Some things weren't necessary, but as long as you do the assignments, make all papers college ready, and do the some of the extra credit you can ace the class. I got high Bs on the group projects, failed the midterm and still and attended class all semester, i passed with an A. DO THE WORK, and you'll be fine.

If you are ready to do college level work, attendance class and do some of the many extra credit work you can easily make an A or B. This class really prepares you for college if you are not ready.

Knows govt. Never misses classes. Never late. Attendance is one-third of grade. Do the easy, easy extra credit like watching a movie or credit field trips. Easy way to get a higher grade. Very, very professional, fair with grading, extra credit offers. Career search activity appeared hard but it was easy and helped me get a summer internship. Example of communication- I said we made and evaluated presentations. Then for collaboration I mentioned our group work. Guess what I will make $52,000 at my Analyst job.

Honestly I hated the class presentations. I hated the career interview class requirement. Honestly, both helped me land my job making more because as he said I did not settle for less. I applied for the higher $ job because what I did and hated and learned in his class. Now Im making $5,000 more than I expected. God bless professor Martinez.

Glad I had professor Martinez Yes, it was more work than my other classes but I learned how, where when and why to vote, how to email my elected reps, where to go for govt meetings and much more. It was worth my money. He cares about our class learning things for life. I better understand his teaching upon reading the news. Great class, teacher.

He is a very serious professor. He will ease up once the semester gets going and he gets to know us. Go to class. Read the newspaper. He reads it every day. He likes for you to ask questions. He really understands govt and govt people. Dont miss class you get the pizza, which he buys. Above avg class work compared to comm college, but that's good.

I loved the way professor Martinez taught this class! If you want to work in govt it would be to your advantage to take his class. He is very knowledgable & wants to make sure YOU learn the material. His style is about teaching real worlds life skills. Reading the book & govt current events before the class will really help. He will help just ask.

Awesome class. I really, really learned more than I expected in a community college. He treated us and expected us to be prepared like real university students. He was a real help to me. As a decorated Marine I was proud & honored to run into Professor Martinez. Honored, because of my respect for his words, teachings, stories & advice years ago, that made better sense while serving in Iraq and later working on my Masters. I was PROUD to tell him his advice 12 years ago helped me also earn a Masters degree from UTSA. Thank you sir.

What a wonderfull professor! I am old enough to be the mother of most of the class; therfore believe me, he treated everyone with professional respect even the attendance whiners and cell talkers (although sometimes he was too formal). The class really enjoyable for me because I understood the class was preparing the "youngsters"for life, he cares.
