A different style of teaching to get used to at first, but as you warm up to him, you greatly appreciate his genuineness and his lectures are really great.

Great Professor. Bogdan has funny jokes. Not a lot of homework. Gives plenty of time to turn in homework. You need to come to class, but classes are fun and easy. Will help you on any homework. He lets you out 5 minutes early most of the days. Tests/quizes/midterm/final are easy. You can get an easy A, unless you're dumb and don't come to class.

Hes really a great professor even though the material he teaches is hard to get since its philosophy. Toma gives you plenty opportunities if you do poorly on his midterm or any or tests to still gain more points. Also if you have perfect attendance itll work for you too since he actually rewards you points at the end.

Best teacher that I've had so far at Wright. He gives you two essays that he's SUPER laid back and isn't too harsh of a grader. He allows up to four absences which isn't even that bad because if you just show up and don't miss more than four then you get an easy 100 points at the end of the semester. Professor Toma made HUM210 a fun and easy going class to take. He is enthusiastic and informative during his lectures and very funny as well. There were very few assignments aside from in-class note taking such as, 1 written quiz, 2 essays, and 2 written tests. He is a very fair grader. Attendance is important so don't miss too many days.

This is one of my favorite professors! He is very funny, expectations are clear from day one of the semester. Do yourself a favor and do not skip class, attendance and participation are the easiest points to earn. Write down everything he writes on the board and make sure to study and understand the materials he provides for the quiz and exams.

Prof Bogdan is simply amazing. From the begining he explains how you can get an A, there are 2 essays he usually allows 2 weeks for them to be done and they are 2 pages long. His exams are 5-6 questions long, the only part that is bad from that is that they have to written answers. Higly recommend.

This was the best teacher I have ever had over the past three years of college. He does sometimes talk a lot in his classes but always was able to make everyone enjoy what he's teaching and making it fun. He was caring, made us laugh at times and was very inspirational to me. If you need a humanities credit take this class. no textbook. no homework. All you have to do is pay attention. His lectures are heavy but interesting. Very easy class. Just did the weekly journals from pre-recorded lectures then attend the zoom session. The zoom sessions were pretty interesting. Easy midterm and final, PLUS he has zoom sessions where he asks questions and you can earn back points. Exams were over one philosopher that everyone liked.

I took Professor Bogdan Tomas class in Fall 2019. Bogdan is a pretty laid back guy but if you are disruptive in class, he will call you out. Lecture heavy but if you pay attention the class becomes an easy A. He has an amazing way of doing test, very fair on the grading as well. Hes funny and genuine, definitely recommend him as a professor!

I took Prof. Toma for the fall 2020 semester and hes so funny and really relates his zoom lectures to the class. He doesnt assign much homework and there were 2 exams: Midterm + Final. They werent difficult exams and theres a chance to get points back with an oral exam! I strongly suggest you take him, I would 100% take him again!!

I was a little worried about taking this class because I'm not a huge fan of history however he made the lectures interesting, explained everything well, answered questions when needed, and for homework gave two options incase you don't understand one. He is a great professor; he makes the material easy to understand and the work is straightforward. He does a review for the tests and the tests are similar to the review.

He has good his lectures and is funny which keeps you interested. Attendance is worth 50 points. Journals for each class . Exams have a verbal makeup where you get a chance to improve your grade with verbal questions and extra credit points.

I have taken Professor Toma a second time now and I would want to take another one of his. I would 10000000% recommend this professor. There was a moment where final grades were due and brightspace hadn't warned him about a new assignment, so he went out of his way to message the department board just to get my grade changed. Took Professor Toma's Intro to Philosophy course. Super understanding dude, really cares about his students and your success in the course. His PHIL 106 class has 2 exams, 2 cumulative journals, and one essay (which can all be submitted late). I can't speak for all of his classes, but expect a really easy going year with plenty to learn. 5 stars.

Prof Toma is clear about what he needs from us and respects his students, but if you do not give and show him the same respect, he has no issue letting you know and will do so even with everyone in the class. Truly a really great professor for many reasons. Every lecture feels like a Face time call and he's super rewarding with credit. There's 16 total journals (1 paragraph each), 2 essays, and 2 exams the entire semester. You can make up missed points on exams in the live exams he has up to 100% ! I wish we were able to have Socratic discussions instead of hearing hour-long lectures (tiresome). I took him for 106 and 107 cause he's easy. I do wish we read source material.

This guy loves mythology, and it shows! His lectures are engaging, and he always tries to keep the content relevant. He offers every opportunity to get an A+ and is flexible if you keep him in the loop. He only asks that you pay attention (why wouldn't you, you're paying for the class) and have your camera on unless you have a good reason.
