Great teacher, hilarious his class is great and he is a lot of fun and very funny, everyone should take him
Pikas is the ****. I wish he taught more classes. Makes the class fun, includes lots of things to laugh and talk about, and is very intelligent in his field.
Funniest teacher I've ever had--but his class environment is very laid back and his test are NO joke...overall--take him and you'll do a lot of laughing

this teacher reminds me of Umbridge from Harry Potter: The Order of The Pheonix (thats the fifth book). That is insult enough.
Pikas is one of the most intelligent business profs on campus. He'll give you help whenever you need it. You'll laugh a lot in his classes, but you MUST read the book because the tests are hard.
If you can sit through bad jokes and tough concepts, this is the course for you. However, she is extremely condescending and hard to like. She likes punctual people and those who go the extra mile. Although for a microeco. class... who's gonna do that&

excellent teacher, very clear on what is expected and what is on the tests, hard class but she explains the material well so if you pay attention and do the homework you shouldn't have a problem
very interesting teacher to listen to, classes are really funny, he knows what he's talking about and can relate marketing to almost anything, you have to read the book or you will not pass his tests though, doesn't really teach about the multiple choice part of the exam

Pikas is a great teacher. He gives very hard tests that require you to really know the material. Must read the book to get a good grade. Trys to teach you about life along with the material in class. Funny guy, fun class. Keeps your interest all throughout the class. Cares for his students.
Hard teacher. Show up to class and do all the homework and you will pass her classes. She is boring and has stupid jokes but overall is a nice lady and really cares for her students. Take her if your willing to work for your grade.
BY FAR the WORST Teacher I have ever had... The guy is an ass and will try to make studetns feel stupid. His tests are nearly impossible to pass because they do not corrolate to the readings. Itleast 80 percent of the class got a D or lower... Nuff Said
Pikas is a funny guy, I liked his class. However, he has the ability to rip students apart and make them look stupid. Made fun of me for emailing him. But he cares about his students. Must read the book and take good notes to get a good grade, his tests are very hard. I recommend taking him.

You learn a lot in his classes, however, it is rarely on the tests. YOU HAVE TO BUY THE BOOK AND READ IT. He rarely fails any one as long as you put in an effort. His projects really help. If you do a good job on the project, he'll give you a decent grade
this prof. is so funny and makes class go by fast! you cant take what he says personally, he jokes around with students and tries to get you in discussions! DEF take him hes not hard and he will tell you whatto focus on for tests if you ask! i loved his class =)
Excellene teacher. Does not teach out of book, but tests primarily on readings. Gets class into discussion, keeps you totally entertained from the minute you get there until the minute you leave. Also tells you exactly what will be on the tests! I strongly urge anyone to take this class with an open mind!

Excellent professor, very knowledgable. I learned a lot from taking his classes. Doesn't teach out of the book, instead he implies reality. However, the multiple choice part of his exams are on the book, so you must read it. Essay part may be either take home or during the exam. His tests are hard but he is an excellent, excellent professor.
okay, hes a very funny guy...but hes funny because he insults other students and its amusing to watch. He really is an ass though and I was very pissed I had him as a prof. We basically chatted about random stuff during class while he puts on a show. Answering Q's in his class usually gets you insulted and I thought he was a waste of time...
Awesome teacher! the course itself is difficult, but if you go to class and sit in the front row, you will do fine. Miss a homework assignment or a class and you are lost and will fail the exam. The student's make the exams...so study hard and you'll do fine

Avoid this professor at all costs. He was Satan's rejected spawn. Treats class like a horrible stand-up comedy routine, constantly puts students down, and tries his best to embarrass them. Every answer you have is wrong. He also shows more affection towards Canadians for some reason.
i wanted to drop the class @ 1st b/c im shy after about 3 classes i got use to his style of teaching-he is my favorite teacher at nu-you need to the text book b/c the tests are right out of the book-his lectures are the essays on his tests. he's a great teacher b/c you remember what he says. his teaching style prepares you for the REAL world.
The first few weeks she scares you and makes you wanna drop the class so you don't have to deal with her BS. Push through, she gets down to earth eventually. Stay after for help when you need it. Material is simple when you do.
anyone who says im the smartest person you will ever meet is by far one of the dumbest people you will ever meet and pikas is no exception. his style of teaching is useless and a waste of time. his long useless lectures on material that can be covered in about five minutes, while he strives for cheap laughes at the expense of his students.

despite what everyone is saying... Pikas is a great teacher, and he really knows what he is talking about. i agree that we should have more than 4 grades for a semester, but on that note, he goes over all of the material for the exams... if people were to read the chapters they would realize that.
Pikas is not that bad of a guy. He does seem mean sometimes during his lectures but he really prepares you for the REAL WORLD because not everybody is going to treat you like an angel!!! His tests are pretty hard becasue 70pts come from the readings and 30pts come from his lectures. The multiple choice parts of his tests are about 80% definition

Not too bad of a guy. thinks his jokes are pretty funny. Really makes you think. Make sure you read your textbook!!! 60% of exams are on the book. Participate as much as you can!!!! Its a good thing if he knows your name, and he actually likes when you challenge him. Wouldn't 100% reccomend him, but hes not bad.
He's alright. Just Read the book and participate in class and you'll get a decent enough grade. Keep up with current events he love to talk about them and you might surprise him if you know something about whats going on.

He doesn't just babble through definitions of terms--he's assuming you can read the text & focuses on applications.

Great teacher, I don't know why people hate her. She explains things very clear, comes in to help anyone that needs it, and she lets you pick the problems on the exams! Each exam usually has MC questions and 3 problems, you get to pick the problems (which were done in class) and then she tells you what the MC is going to be. Take her! Not hard!
He's cool, and very funny. He made fun of me all year, but I thought it was funny. I don't know why people get on here and start crying about it. It makes the class go by faster, and it's funny when you make a stab at him. He's a good teacher, and his lectures can be interesting. Will bring in outside things to make it more interesting! It is a hard class and you need to read the book but he is a good professor. he is very funny and sarcastic. The only reason people wouldn't like him is if they cant handle being called out and dont like actually reading the book. I recomend this professor.
One of the best professors on campus. Even though he does not always teach what is on the exam, he knows what he is talking about. Underneath the hard ass attitude, he is a great person to talk to

okay as a person, ive had him three times now but he sucks as a professor. he talks about interesting stuff in class but nothing pertaining to the class or the book, and then tests on very specific bits of information from the book. and the book has old data, why should we need to know irrelevent stuff from 2001 ?!
Very little room for error in his class. Exams are okay but if you mess up even a little on the final you're done. Very interactive while in class and knows what he is talking about... hard to get out of class and YOU MUST read outside of class even if he doesn't teach it in class!
Pikas is going to scare the crap out of you. Once you understand how he teaches and runs his class he can be very enjoyable. if you are not the target of his jokes. Pikas knows what hes talking about. He will call you out if you don't know your stuff. You will fail his class if you don't. READ THE TEXTBOOK. prepare for tests well in advance
4 tests completely from the text book (free copy to use in library). This professor hardly teaches you anything from the text book so you basically have to read and MEMORIZE 4 chapters to pass the tests. He usually doesn't prepare his lectures and "wings" it. If you're an A/B student and want to remain one - DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS!
Hard to follow, he never follows the textbook but expects you to know whats on the tests through out the semester. He's not available if you have questions after class & only recently "found" email. He's old school,better to take from a different professor who knows the internet marketing & social media networks. No chance for extra credit.
First day of class if you look like an easy target he will eat you alive and put you on the spot and embarass you in front of everyone. Class is simple, read the book and you will do fine on the tests. pretty basic understanding of the chapters is what his tests focus on. You actually need to read the book to pass. If you are able to take a joke and read the book there is no reason not to take Pikas for Marketing. I don't understand all the negative reviews. His class is based on very useful marketing practices even if you are not a marketing major.

Professor Pikas was a terrible professor. All he did was make students feel stupid and give them attitude if they got the answer wrong. He lets you have a cheat sheet for exams. That's the only good thing.
He does mock students. but it's usually deserved. If he catches you with your phone consider yourself his primary target for the rest of the semester. He lets you have a cheat sheet for exams. You shouldn't have any trouble getting at least a B if you take the time to make a good cheat sheet.
Pikas picks on and mocks students, he doesn't really teach which means you really need the book to actually pass this class. The only good thing about his class is that he allows you to have a cheat sheet on the tests. His final project is a video which is worth a ton of your final grade and it's awful.

I dont like him. He is not helpful. He does not really teach in the class, just goes to class and tells stories. You have to read book to pass the exam.
Doesn't talk about what he should be talking about! In other words he doesn't teach in class. I wouldn't recommend to take his class if you want a good grade and everybody wamts a good grade so. If you somehow get his class study day and night to get a B or A or be happy with a D or C.
He does an excellent job of telling you information that may not be on the test, but nonetheless very useful in the future. Study the power points and read over the chapters for the tests and you should do fine. Participation really does help your grade and doing the extra credit video

Lectures aren't by the book but exams are (can have 1 page notes), but the lectures do some from personal experience that books can't cover so its worth paying attention. Participation matters, he likes critical thought and being appropriately challenged. Expect honest feedback on presentations, he'll tell you how the real world would take it
