Hilarious teacher. Class was a little hard though.

Awesome teacher, will do anything for you to get a good grade. Tests are hard, but go to class and you will enjoy it and do good on tests

The best teacher I've ever had at NKU. She is so awesome and makes the class actually fun and interesting to be in!

Excellent professor. Very enthusiastic about topics and usually has a real life example to back up confusing ones. Very fun class!

Even though her exams were tough, the class was great. Everyone had laughs and learned too.

She is an awesome teacher! The class wasn't really hard, but if you had any questions or needed an extension or anything at all, all you had to do was ask her! We had so many laughs in our class-she makes it fun! GREAT PROFESSOR!

Makes Sociology fun and interesting. She is an outstanding professor. We need more like her.

Ha! She was great. I took her class 3 years ago and I still tell stories about it. She's crazy in a fun way. She'll ask a question and expect a random student she calls on to answer it, but it's mainly common sense. I studied and got a 98% average, easy yet interesting.

You really have to study hard for her tests and the tests are mostly "application" questions instead of just straight factual. I love litening to her stories that she tells with every note. Go to the SI sessions! That's what saved me!

The class is easy all assignments we did were all group ones so that was real easy. Test are not that hard if you go through your notes you good to go. And go to SI it really helps. Overall I would take her any day she is a good teacher.

She is a very funny woman for sure, but she treats everyone like children. She won't let you out 5 mins early because "mommies and daddies are paying for this, and will get mad." Those of us who are adults and have been married for years would like to get out of class a few minutes early every now and then. Not everyone is 18 that is in her class.

boni li rules...so much fun. she's a blast...one of the happiest and friendliest professors i had. she'll have you cracking up all class. i love her.

Very hard, For god sakes go to "SI"! Will ask you to do group projects. (2 speeches & interview) Will call you out in class no matter how much you avert your gaze the floor. Don't be late or it's WWIII. Don't look at the clock. You get 10 bonus points for perfect attendance.

The first day she seems really wierd, but once you get to know her shes hilarious. Tests are straight from the notes, you dont even really need the book except for the group powerpoint presentation which is super easy. perfect attendance= 10 bonus pts, and if u go to 7 SI sessions you get 5 more bonus points

I loved this course! I almost dropped the class because I thought she would be hard to understand, but I actually really enjoy the class. Go to class and take the notes and the tests are pretty easy. Go to SI!

Thought her accent(very pronounced) would deter me from class, but if you really want to learn or give her a chance, you'll understand her. There's a lot of vocab, but if you take good notes, study AND ATTEND SI SESSIONS there shouldn't be a problem. Offers help a lot. To say the least, if you hate the class you'll be entertained by her stories

She is so funny. She has this really strong chiness accient and it is so funny. As far as the class goes it is easy because the tests come straight from the notes and she gives you the notes in class

Boni Li, is the best teacher that I've ever had! She seems mean at the begining but she isn't at all! She expects you to do your work and to be there but she gives you extra credit just for showing up. She is also the funniest teacher that i've ever had, and always makes us laugh every class. I hope I get to take her agian!

I absolutely love Boni Li. She is by far one of the best and most entertaining professors I've ever had. The stories she tells as examples to help you learn the information make it easy to understand. Show up to class, take notes, study your notes for the exam (test questions straight from notes), and you will do very well in this class.

This is a very easy class, I didn't open my book once. Just take notes and you'll do great! I would highly recommend her!

I've taken Boni Li three times so far, and it is definitely entertaining! She's really funny, and the tests are straight from the notes. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! I never did and got an A all three times. It gets annoying how much she treats students like kids though. She's always yelling about talking, tardiness, or cell phones. We ARE in college

Boni Li Rocks! she is so funny and the test aren't to bad long as you just study her notes. Do NOT buy the book you will never use it. I would highly suggest taking her class though because she makes it so much fun!

Awesome. Will take her again and again. Tests are multiple choice, has small assignments throughout the semester that take less than 20 minutes each. Easy A, learned a lot, enjoyable. If you go to every class you get 10 bonus points. Never used the book, don't bother buying it. Take her if you get the chance, you won't regret it!Don't be late;)

Boni Li is very funny and makes class entertaining. Her tests are multiple choice, cover everything in the notes, and are really easy as long as you study. She goes over everything you need to know. Great teacher besides the fact that she treats her students like children, which is very annoying at first. However, overall I would recommend her.

Boni Li is the funniest woman i ever met! You will never use that book called...... well we never used it so im not even sure what its called lol. STUDY ! STUDY! STUDY! her notes. You will thank me later. I would take her again. She put mad spice to my freshman year haha

Attendance mandatory. Never uses the book, so don't buy it and save yourself some money. The 1 time we do use it, its a group project and someone else always has the book. Study for the multiple choice tests, unlike I did, and you will do fine. Failed all tests and still got a C. Hard to understand at first, but you will get used to it.

You don't need the book!!!! Attendance was not mandatory, however if you showed up to all classes you received 10 bonus points. Throughout the semester she gave out a total of 20 bonus points. Test can sometimes be confusing but easy as long as you study. She knows her stuff and truly enjoys teaching it.

Talk about a comical class atmosphere. . . .her class is really fun and makes the learning very easy, accents affect those who listen to accents and not what the speaker is saying, you will UNDERSTAND her, and you will definitely like her, she gives extra credit too, A's are beyond achievable!

YOU DO NOT USE BOOK. DO NOT BUY! Her class is primarily powerpoint lecture. You will do a few assignments. Tests are moderately hard, just need to study good. I thought I was going to fail, but Bonnie Li bumped my grade up to passing!!! Worth taking!

She is one of the funniest and sweetest professors I've had at NKU. She's a realistic teacher that likes helping out her students. I would recommend her to others. Don't buy her book though!!!! All of her test questions are EXACTLY from the notes and she tells you half of what she actually asks!

Boni Li is so much fun! She is a great teacher that keeps the cless entertained as she teaches at the same time. Her tests are difficult, but other then that everything is easy. She loves to tell stories which keeps the class very interesting! Take Boni Li, you wont be disappointed! :)

She is hilarious. We would laugh everyday. They test are harder than expected but you have a lot of easy grades that make up for it. Just do everything she says. She tells you a million times. If you forget, it's a little pathetic.

I've taken Boni Li several times and I am trying to take another with her. Her good qualities totally overshadow her bad ones. She is lively and entertaining. Usually I left class in a good mood because she is so ****ing hilarious.

She grades fairly and always comes in with a positive attitude, which makes class fun. She's ALWAYS willing to help!! One of the BEST prof.'s in the SOC dept.!

Great professor. She was funny, and she always reminded us of deadlines just about every class. Notes were on powerpoints but you have to show up. If you show up and take notes and do the assignments and quizzes correctly, there's no reason you shouldn't earn an A in this class. great professor. I'd love to have her for another class.

She has a good attitude and entertaining... but tests are kind of difficult because it takes awhile to understand what she is asking. Sometimes they are written in broken english.

She is very sweet and caring. You do need to study. The test are not easy. However she keeps it very entertaining.

Boni is such a funny person. On the first day of class I thought the class would be terrible with her broken English but over the next few classes she had all of us laughing. Her class is easy to follow, she offer exact examples to follow for both papers and test!

She is always helpful and willing to make sure you understand the material even if that means pushing the test back. She is very funny and I always enjoy being in her classes. This is the 3rd class I have taken with her because I enjoy her teaching style so much!

no cell phones, no leaving class early AT ALL. but she is very nice, very funny, pushes tests back for you, its a lot of notes but they definitely help with the exams. as long as you pay attention and study you'll do fine!

Boni Li is one of the greatest professor's at NKU. She is helpful and knows her material. She is strict on the syllabus just as all professors should be. She will not babysit you if you NO late assignments!! Her exams are easy if you do the assignments and attend class regularly for the lecture notes.

Boni Li is very helpful and she's as clear as she can be about assignments and what's expected. Don't skip her class. Do the online quizzes each week. They're easy and she will call you out if you don't do them. Her lectures can drag on, but she makes them entertaining. My only complaint is every story she tells comes straight from her book.

power points are clear use them for tests and quizes! Although the book is VERY important to read for the quizzes, but is not tested on the tests. The book is mandatory but is super easy to read! Study for the tests and quizzes and you will be fine. Do all assignments and you will get credit!

Dr. Li was very clear at the beginning of class on her expectations for the class. She sent regular reminders for assignments and was extremely responsive to emails. I really enjoyed her teaching style and appreciated her organization. I switched my next session around so that I can take another SOC class from Dr. Li.

Boni Li is hilarious. She made the lessons understandable through her stories. She always has a positive attitude and was very understanding. Don't buy both of the text books. Only use the one she wrote that one is used for the quizzes

Boni Li is absolutely fantastic. She is hilarious, and tells stories every class. She lectures a lot, but makes sure that all students understand her expectations. She sent out assignment reminders for everything, which was so nice and helpful. I would love to take another class with her!

It can be hard at first to understand her because of her accent, but after a class or too it gets really easy. She really wants you to pass so she makes everything very clear and lets you know of everything in advance. She locks the door when class starts so don't be late! Her stories are hilarious too. Also, you only need to buy the book she wrote

Easy class, online session. She uses her book for the class which is about emigrating from China, she uses basic sociology terms and examples. Prepare to read as if you are in elementary school, it is very simply written. Tests were super easy IF you look for the exact answer in her powerpoint notes, she words it the exact same in the notes.

I took this class online over the summer and enjoyed learning foundational sociology. She gives a lot of work in a short amount of time, but it is not too difficult if you just make time to get it finished. You need to do all the practice quizzes and quizzes and tests. And you must have her book to complete some of the work.

Professor Li was amazingly clear about what she wanted done in a week, which is great in an online class. I took her class my first semester, and was so relieved to not be confused. She was very nice and helpful through email. There was a bit of reading, but the book she wrote was really interesting and I enjoyed it.
