I Love Dr. Koo!!! He was my favorite professor this semester! He is so funny and knows how to keep the class's attention. His tests are more difficult, but he tries his best to help you out. If you get a chance, take a classs with Dr. Koo!!! but be ready to work hard.
He is the BEST teacher ive ever had!
I LOVE DR. KOO!! He has been one of the best teachers I have ever had. Very fun and keeps you interested. I learned a lot and got a good grade. He is wonderful. Definitely take his class!!
DR. KOO is my favorite teacher so far! He is awesome and will probably be my fav ever.
Dr. Koo is very helpful and reasonable. You should take this class!!!
Dr. Koo is a GREAT teacher! he does have a strong Korean accent but he makes the class so much fun! He is very helpful and lenient, and just a GREAT teacher! I would DEF take this class again! TAKE THIS CLASS!
He's reasonable and clear! Take this class!!!
Dr. Koo is very helpful. Take this class!
Dr. Koo is amazing. He has such passion for his field, his family, and God. He has a wonderful sense of humor and makes a point to know each student by name. Do not expect his class to be a cakewalk, however. You will get your money's worth.
Dr. Koo is great and helpful. If you don't take this class, you will be regretted. Take his classes
Koo is the best professor I have had so far. He is hilarious and even though I am just in his lab and not the lecture, he makes sure to ask me if I understand the concepts. He loves what he does and it's evident in his teachings.
Dr. Kool is the best professor at CBU. I love his class. He makes things interesting and easy. He is extremely helpful and has a great sense of humor. His lectures are very clear and understandable. Take this class!
Dr. Koo makes the class easy and fun. He is very helpful and reasonable. Take this class (Topics in Biology)! I strongly recommend you!!!
He is a great professor. Very helpful and clear. You should take his classes.
Dr. Koo was one of the best professor's I have had yet at CBU and I'm a senior. He is very helpful and understanding, as well as entertaining~ Absolutely loved his class!
He is very good and helpful. You should take his classes. You will not be disappointed. Thanks, Dr. Koo.
Koo really looks out for the pre-prof students by constantly recommending guidance from faculty advisers including himself. His tests are very difficult to study for; you'll need to know the whole book basically, but that's a reality check for prof/grad school hopefuls and he more than makes up for it w/ grade helpers and ec. Highly recommended!!
He is the best one!
BIO majors may like him, but don't take him if you're not. Talked incessantly about medical school, made tests intentionally hard to "get us ready for tests" I won't be taking, and continually tried to make me a BIO major. Nice guy, but non-science majors beware.
He was an okay teacher, I couldn't understand his accent, I mainly looked at the power points and read the text book. If you have a question about something ask him, you probably won't get your question answered right. Eventually you just end up saying "okay..." He's really easy though, easy tests and quizes. Gave us study guides for all the tests.
He is the best professor at CBU. He always helps students and is doing his best.
Awesome professor with great sense of humor. Great class but it is tough. He explains the material well!
His nickname is Dr. KooL~~ You will like his classes. Take them. I am sure that he will help you.
Take his class. Althogh he has an accent, he explains materials very well. I strongly recommend you to take his classes.
Hi! He is Kool~~~ Take his class. You will not be disappointed! He is the best!
Dr. Koo is a stone cold badass! Very helpful and clear. Not the easiest class you will take but it certainly will be one that you won't regret. Koo is da man!
very easy but not that interesting. he's very funny too
Great class. Very easy. He's a great professor and very funny. Definitely a great class to fulfill science requirements.
Professor Koo is a great teacher. He is very helpful and is there for you whenever you need help. He is very helpful and will help you until you have a clear understanding.
He is the best professor at CBU. I highly recommend this class.
All around Amazing Man
Dr. Koo is a thorough teacher. He tells you what to expect so just pay attention. I for one really appreciate the work that he does. Thank You Dr. Koo
Dr. Koo is a wonderful teacher. As long as you read, study, try, and come to class you will pass it. He has weekly quizzes and 3 midterms and a final. Labs are fun and interesting. He very knowledgeable in the subject. He is understanding of mishaps that comes up in your life and gives many extra credit. Recommend to take! You will learn a lot.
Fantastic professor, clear concise presentation of the material. He claims his tests are easy, but trust me they are challenging and it requires one to know the material thoroughly. If you are a science major, his class will be a real treat. I am disappointed he will not be teaching Bio 148 or Chem next semester. I learned so much from him.
Extremely gifted teacher and makes you laugh every time. Great course content and USES THE BOOK!
Great Professor! Take his classes!
All I can say is, fantastic professor and person. The class is not easy(considering the subject matter), as long as you study you will pass with a good score. Only problem was that I was very disappointed when I found out that he was not teaching BIO148 the following semester; was looking forward to studying under his instruction. Take his class!
More work than everyone says it is.
Great Professor!
Everyone told me how easy this class was and how little I would have to invest, but as it turns out this was the only class I got a 'B' in. Really?? I had and A all semester and because I decided I'd rather put more effort to studying for my Pentateuch final, I get a 'D'. He is nice, but not clear at allll.
Definitely not an easy A. He is very helpful and gives so many clues to what will be on quizzes and midterms. Know the power points, and study guides, and textbook very well!! Study those the most! A lot of memorization too. But he is an amazing man all around and will make you laugh every class! One of my favorite teachers.
He is a very good teacher except the quiz questions were very hard. Just the wording that was used confused me. I suggest using easy notecards website for his class because a lot of the questions on there are on his tests and quizzes. Good luck!!
Dr. Koo, is one of my best professor during last semester. The way he talks and explains things are clear and he tried his very best to get his students to know each topic we are going through. I just wish if he would teach me again the next semester.
Dr. Koo is a very knowledgeable professor. He does expect you to study and read the book. read the chapter and takes notes and you will do good in the class. He doesnt suprise you and gives you study guides to help. At the end of the semester he drops your lowest test scores/quizes which helps a lot! Hes super nice and really helpful!
Dr. Koo is an excellent professor!! There are quizzes each week that you will need to definitely read the textbook for but if you study, you will do just fine. Dr. Koo is one of the funniest professors at CBU and he will always stop and say hi if you see you him in the hallway. Take his class!
His tests and quizes are very very hard. All critical thinking. Much of the learning required was never on tests. You will spend a LOT of time in this class studying and whatnot. Four exams, one was a take home. Labs are alright.
Dr. Koo is an amazing professor who truly cares about his students. He does have an accent but not difficult to understand. All I can saw is STUDY STUDY like 1-2 weeks in advance for the tests. His labs were easy! I could have gotten an A- but I screwed up on the final, so I got a B+.
I love Dr. Koo, he's absolutely adorable, makes the class fun, and you actually are learning things that matter. Don't be late to class or he will make you sing. I literally hid under my desk after he saw me come late one time.
His lectures were very informative and often entertaining but you really need to study for the quizzes and exams they are difficult.
Dr. Koo is very helpful and amazing. You need to study.
His enthusiasm for the subject really helped me to focus more. A lot of lectures, but he makes them interesting, and reading the book helps a lot. He's a pretty great teacher and I highly recommend taking his class!
Dr. Koo's geoscience lecture and lab were a breeze! I would definitely recommend if you are not a science major. This is a great course to fulfill GE requirements. EASY class, not stressful, not much work. Dr. Koo is great! You won't regret this class with him!
Great teacher that loves his job and supports his students while pushing them to strive to do their best and get the most out of the class
Dr. Koo is an amazing professor and really cares about his students future. Reading is essential to doing well on the exams and high quiz scores are a must. Exams are all multiple choice, no free response. I didn't find this course to be difficult, just put in the hours to study and you'll be fine.
Professor Koo is very supportive and encouraging. I took this class online over summer and I had a great experience! Professor Koo is really nice and easy going. Would definitely recommend this teacher and his online CHE 102 class to anybody.
This class requires you to study and work hard. I am currently struggling trying to get an A. the tests require critical tinkling and are extremely tough. My advice is if you can avoid this teacher do so in a heartbeat.
He is a okay teacher, and the material he teaches is not hard. The only problem is he goes to fast, and tests are very hard. I felt like no matter how much I studied it never paid off. I even took tutoring. Avoid this teacher is possible.
Dr. Koo is a great teacher. He tries to teach students as much as he can. You need to read the textbook and study hard.
Dr. Bonjun Koo is a really good professor. If I needed help with anything he would always be willing to set up an office hour appointment with me. His test are hard but he gives you all the material to study. He keeps his students engaged in class and makes it more enjoyable
He is super intimidating at the beginning. He will try to get you to change your major and weed out the weak individuals. Work hard and read the text book. For quizes theres quizlet and there are not cards online with the textbook.
Dr. Koo is an overall great teacher. He is a bit difficult to understand at times (has a fairly thick Korean accent and speaks quickly) and is very detail-specific in testing, but tests are multiple-choice and he really does explain the topics at hand. He also absolutely loves his students, and he really does want to help us in any way he can.
His class was EXTREMELY difficult but he's a super nice, humble guy and he really truly cares about his students. He is currently the only professor teaching bio 1 but he gave our class a lot of extra credit because we were struggling.I would say to read a lot and go to tutoring and study groups to pass! He flies through lectures so they don't help
Dr. Koo is amazing professor. His class is tough but very helpful. He is always there for you. I would take his classes again.
Great professor! His class is hard and he really wants you to know the material for upper division courses! Quizzes are harder than the test so make sure to read the chapter. For midterms, actually know everything on the study guide he gives you and then go over past quizzes. He does not judge you based on grades so if you do bad, he won't dislike
Awesome teacher! Very willing to help and very flexible. This specific course was relatively easy, not very difficult at all.
As a Biology major I appreciated the fact that Dr. Koo makes sure to teach us the material with a true passion. It's a hard class don't get me wrong, but he is very caring and approachable. At first he was intimidating, but he is very funny and a great professor. Don't skip class and study the study guides for the exams!!!
His class may seem hard at the beginning of the semester but I promise he will give at least 5 take home quizzes and a take home exam at the end of the year. I was riding at a solid 72 the whole semester and ended the class with a B. Very giving professor.
I like his class. Please take his. Don't worry about his class.
Dr. Koo is amazing. He inspired me to work hard throughout the semester. He may seem tough, but he is just preparing us for the even harder upper division sciences. The material he teaches is always on the exam, no surprises. You just have to study and put in the work. He even gives extra credit to help buffer grades. Koo wants you to succeed.
Great professor! The class was pretty tough, but he definitely prepared me for upper division bio. He was very accommodating of my situation and motivated me to keep going and to never give up. Just read the textbook and his lecture notes and you'll be fine.
Dr. Koo was a wonderful professor. Now I must clarify that I had the introduction to geoscience with him so I had it easier than he is for his bio courses. He was funny and did his best to make the subject fun and easy to understand. There is quite a bit of work and if you don't study for the tests you will fail. Other than that great class!
Dr Koo is very nice, however don't mistake his kindness for an easy class he will help you as best as he can, but you have to do your part as well. There is a lot of Tests ,he gives a study guide its not hard but a lot of info to remember. Also do a lot of his extra credit videos they will help your grade a lot. Overall a very fun class
Koo is fantastic- his lectures are funny and lighthearted. Do not skip more than two classes or you will be marked down. His class (PSC151) is mostly memorization so if you aren't good at straight memorization consider another professor. He offers plenty of extra credit and is very clear on what he expects from essays (only 3). Great guy overall!
He has a very thick accent and it's sometimes hard to understand him. He's very passionate in what he teaches, but he pushes you to your best.
I love Dr. Koo. He is great, very reasonable and enthusiastic. He is very clear on what he expects. Great guy overall!
Dr. Koo is an awesome teacher. He cares about the success of his students, but do not expect to get an easy A, or even B for that matter. This class is designed for students who either want to go to "Professional School" or become a Biology major. However, if you put in the necessary good quality work and effort, you will do well.
Super cool guy that really cares about God, biology, and his students! He has a Korean accent, but still pretty easy to understand. Hes funny and jokes around with his students. Studying must be done on the students end though, especially reading the textbook because no study material is provided by him.
Koo is one of the BEST! Really good professor, funny and cares about his students His class could be tough to those who don't study and put in the time. His tests are hard but he gives EC throughout the semester. Do all the EC if you want an A. I love Ooo, I'd take a class w him again
Dr. Koo cares about his students and their well-being. He is always willing to help and is accessible in and out of class. You do not want to miss lecture, but he makes the class enjoyable that you don't mind it at all. The tests are difficult but he provides ample resources to succeed. I would definitely take again.
Personally, his exams were not to bad. Considering most people taking this class are freshmen, I can understand why others say they are difficult. I never read for this class but if you are an incoming freshman who isn't good at bio, you definitely should. He made a lot of quizzes take home, but don't count on that and know the material well!
Dr. Koo is my biology professor as well as my environmental chair. He's one of the best professors and I know I will have him for at least half of my classes. I'm a third year now and I have not had any professor as fun as Dr. Koo. Geoscience was super easy as he gives you the test bank to study but some fail to put the time in and fail. Easiest
Dr. Koo makes lectures fun, he's clear in his expectations for you which is awesome for tests. He's always clesr on when the next quiz or exam is and makes the harder parts of biology interesting and entertaining.
Dr. Koo is hillarious and truly loves his students. However, his class is very challenging and requires a lot of time and studying. This is a very conceptual class and the quizzes and tests can be very challenging. Make sure you read everything he says and memorize, memorize, memorize!
Doctor Koo himself is a great guy, very funny and deeply cares for his students. However, the tests and quizzes are extremely difficult (far too difficult for a general biology 100 level class). This class is NOT an easy A at all.
Dr. Koo really cares about his students, and if you make it through his class everything else will be a lot easier. You will find yourself blessing up to "TGIF" or hearing him rave about our muffin tops, but you will learn. I fell behind early so I played catch up all semester, learn the system quick and you should keep your grade.
This was the worst class I have ever taken, to say the least. Biology is already one of the hardest subjects to learn, he does not make it much easier. His accent is practically unintelligible, and he lectures and speaks very fast. You basically have to teach yourself the material, so be sure your study skills are up to par.
Dr. Koo may very well be the best professor I've ever had! The lectures are easy to keep up with and he is very knowledgeable about all of the information he provides you with. Tests are straightforward, and he provides students with online PowerPoints and notes. Very kind and helpful and funny! Best class!
Dr. Koo is very kind and cares a lot about his students. The only thing is, if you struggle with biology and can't grasp information quickly, you'll need to study a lot more in this class. His tests are difficult but he does provide a study guide and goes over it in class. Quizzes aren't bad if you read and use his powerpoints. Gives EC at the end!
Doctor Koo is a great professor. To pass his class you need to do one thing and one thing only. Memorize. His lectures are hard to follow, and he does go through material fast. We end class early every single class. He gives a lot of EC. His tests and quizzes are not hard. He provides sample tests which have all the answers on them.
Dr. Koo is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He loves his students and wants them to succeed. However, he pushes you to your limits. Studying in advance is the only way to pass. But, now I know how to really study for other classes. PS spring semester is notoriously easier than fall :)
Dr. Koo is so awesome I can't put it into words . His high energy and sense of humor makes lectures fun. When you take this class you will never forget that lipids make up your "muffin top". Don't be fooled though, study study study, because his tests are beastly (the class average has been around 65% every time).
Such a funny and energetic person. I hate biology but he made the material very interesting. He's really understanding that life happens. He wants you to go to him for anything. Utilize it. His accent is a little hard to understand. Definitely take his class.
You'll definitely pass this class if you take it and study. ALOT of BUSY WORK for a GEN ED class. Requires his students to go on "field-trips" on weekends!!! You can literally study the slides and pass the exam without showing up, but attendance is mandatory. Miss 3 classes and that's one letter grade off final grade. Class is a HUGE WASTE OF TIME.
His attitude and demeanor makes the class more bearable, even though it can be difficult. Studying for multiple hours a week is definitely necessary, as well as attending as many lectures as possible. Reading the textbook and the lecture powerpoints are the easiest, most effective ways to study for this class. Make sure you stay on top of things.
He is such an amazing professor.
If you've taken AP and Honors classes, you will be fine. This class is no easy A for a GE but it is not impossible. The key is memorization. I advise studying all resources repetitively to understand the material at a higher level to succeed on tests. He's the most adorable, wholesome person ever. Always generous with extra credit.
You should definitely take Dr. Koo for your Science GE. Don't worry about buying books tbh, just pay attention to the lectures and powerpoints and USE HIS STUDY GUIDES - he only quizzes you on what's on them. He's a super chill guy and he's funny.
Dr. Koo was a great professor for ENV151. I struggle in science but I still relatively enjoyed his class. Thoroughly study the slides for the quizzes, and memorize the practice tests and quizzes for the tests as most of the questions are exactly the same. Do not buy the textbook, I never used it. Dr. Koo is a great man and I would recommend him!
Read textbook (Pearson and do their multiple choice practice tests). Take pics of ch. quizzes cause some questions will be on exam. Listen when he says whats going to be on the test. Has study guide/practice test. I thought he was going to be a nice prof. but he yelled at me when I gave him an answer he wasnt looking for even though it was right.
Overall great teacher especially with everything being online, he made lecture very enjoyable.
The class is tough but if you put in the work then you will get a good grade. It is not impossible but does require time commitment. No homework, so the grade is composed of lab work, tests, quizzes, and practicum. But he does offer lots of extra credit. Stay ahead on the reading! Goodluck! You'll love Koo! P.S. Make yourself known! (office hours)
Amazing professor. Be ready to read a lot. If you don't read, you won't pass his class. Lectures can be confusing since he goes from his presentation to his white board. Ask questions if you get lost, he always answers. Love his students as his own. He offers a lot of extra credit at the end of the semester.
DR. KOO, was an okay professor, in my opinion, it was hard to focus being online this semester especially how lecture heavy he is, very monotone how he talks. Some exam questions were not on the study guide he gave which made testing hard, but he is an okay professor who is funny, caring, but very note heavy class.
Dr. Koo is a really nice and funny man. It was hard to have his class online this semester but I am sure that it was hard on his end too. The class is super lecture heavy and the tests are based on a bunch of info that I feel like he vaguely went over. The tests are hardish if you don't study his practice exams. I didn't really learn a ton.
Dr. Koo is the best!!
Dr. Koo is a great and caring professor! TAKE HIM! He explains all concepts in-depth and answers any questions that students may have. He is accessible outside of class and always encourages students to come to meet with him. Dr. Koo is very understanding and offers some extra credit towards the end of the semester. He provides great study guides.
Koo is so kind and funny! He really cares about CBU and about students. The lectures are very straightforward and the textbook is not necessary because the slides are straight from the book. He gives plenty of study material for exams. There are field trips for the lab and he offers alternative assignments. Highly suggest
Dr. Koo is such a great professor! Admittedly he can move through the lectures quickly but if youve read the expected material beforehand, then its no big deal. If you see him walking around campus hell take the time out of his day to ask you how youre doing. Very kind indeed, and hilarious too! I guarantee that youll smile a lot in his class!
Dr. Koo is a 12/10 professor. Such a knowledgeable and caring professor. He makes lectures fun and intriguing. He is helpful and accessible outside of class in office hours. Be sure to pay attention in class and do well on exams! Attend the study sessions and make study guides to help you succeed in the class (:
Out of all of the teachers I have ever had in my life, Dr. Koo was by far my favorite. I wish I could have him as a professor for all of my biology classes. He is amazing at explaining things when you don't understand and encourages participation from every single person. He makes sure every student feels cared for. 1000/10 professor
Use the practice tests for exams--the lectures DO NOT help. Take advantage of any extra credit. Dr. Koo is very accommodating especially if he makes a mistake. Good sense of humor; the biggest challenge is the exams.
Take HIm!! His general ed course was very easy! He is loved by so many students and cares for them! I looked forward to his class because of his charisma. He has tons of extra credit. The final exams are tough but with a couple of hours of studying you'll be just fine and there is only two paper required which he grades easily.
I recommend this class to everyone! Dr. Koo will give you permission to take it as a GE, and its so much easier than bio or chem. If you study the sample tests from each chapter, you will have the exam answers. The lab is super easy, easy A, and only takes 1-2 hours of the 3 hour class period. Super fun, easy, and interesting class!
Dr. Koo is such a caring professor and wants you to do good. If you put in the time and effort you'll do great and there will be extra credit if your class average is good. Get to know him and make sure to read the book before class as he does call on you! He is very accommodating and is very fun but also serious.
Former AP Bio student. Was able to get by with that knowledge, but non-AP classmates did find it harder as well as I at times. Koo is mixture of funny and serious. Exams make or break grades, so review lectures but read text if lost. Best advice is to STUDY EARLY, since his 2 lab exams happen same week of exams. Extra credit at end to help grades.
Dr. Koo is a charismatic and caring person, however, he is not able to finish an entire lecture. He talks about other things for the first 15 minutes of class. I could never retain information and relearned it all through studying. You'll pass if you study for an hour a day. Your grade depends on your tests. Exam 3 is a take-home test.
Dr. Koo has been one of my favorite professors ever. He is very funny and kind and truly care about his students and their success. This class is very exam heavy and it's important to study hard to get a good grade. He gives lots of extra credit at the end of the course and is very willing to talk to students in office hours.
By far one of my favorite professors at this school. Dr. Koo is such a sweet professor and will go out of his way to ensure that his students succeed in his class. Going to his office hours with questions helps. The class is pretty textbook heavy, so be prepared to do a lot of reading. Some quizzes are online. I would def recommend him!
Dr. Koo is funny & a caring professor if he likes you. If you do well in his class & can answer his questions in class you'll be called on alot. He goes through lecture quick and pay attention to what he emphasizes in class because it will show up on exams & quizzes. He pyschs out the fall semester class & gets behind on lecture which isn't helpful
Dr. Koo is such an amazing professor! He is so passionate about his lectures, but also respects your time and cares about each and every student. He lectures to cover the content thoroughly but also gets you out early so you can eat since he knows we all have busy schedules. He does call on people randomly, but mostly just to read the ppt slide.
One of my least favorite professors ever.Tests are tough (almost everyone fails). He never gets through a full lecture. He gave a quiz before we learned the material.Tried to give a test on stuff we hadn't learned yet. has yelled at students when they answer wrong or do not understand.not very understanding when it comes to people's personal lives.
My favorite professor ever!! Really cares about his students and gives lots of extra credit just to help them out as well. He is also so funny, and I would 10/10 recommend!
Dr. Koo really cares about his students and how well they do and is very understanding! His lectures can get fast, and it's a lot of material to understand, so it does get quite difficult if you start losing track. He also does give extra credit assignments, and they really do help bump up your grade, so use them to your advantage!
Lots and lots of extra credit that will boost your grade. However, doesn't get through lectures sometimes and doesn't do much explaining about topics. Lectures are just rehearsed from having taught for many years.
Great professor! Cares a lot about students. Make sure to do the reading and study hard, and you'll do fine. Don't be afraid to reach out if you need help.
Dr. Koo is a caring professor that would help students succeed in his class. However, he goes pretty fast with his lectures which it makes it confusing sometimes but he would add the PowerPoint slides on blackboard. He would mainly offer extra credit to help boost grade so make sure to use them to help with your grade.
So good
Great professor. He really cares about his students and takes available time to give valuable information for students pursuing further education after undergrad. He does his best to spend more time with difficult subjects using real world analogies. Highly recommend!
thank God i passed, barely paid attention and studied sample tests. period
Dr.Koo is a great professor! This is a very easy class to get an A in if you simply pay attention and study. The people that rate this class as difficult are the lazy ones (most people in my class) that just want an easy pass with no effort. Exams pretty much determine your grade per usual but they are easy and lots of extra credit.
Most of the chapter quizzes are take-home. Koo is so funny and always tries to get to know his students. This was a difficult class as I am not good at this kind of science, but Professor Koo made the class exciting. He usually tries to finish one chapter per lecture and then lets you go, which usually results in getting let out early.
Pretty harsh professor but I think it is just because he wants his students to succeed. Weekly tests and several exams, but there was extra credit. I would recommend going to the study sessions before exams and becoming friends with your TA. He also highly values participation- just make sure your answer is correct or he might embarrass you.
Great guy honestly
Overall, Dr Koo is an amazing person, but makes it very difficult to understand the material. He moves extremely fast, and it felt like I was playing catch up a lot. Each chapter had a quiz, but only a few were in class. He offers lots of EC, helping my grade. Ultimately, you can see what professors want you to succeed, and Dr Koo is one of them.
This was one of the hardest and most time-consuming classes I have ever taken. If you want to have some free time throughout your week do NOT take this class. The exams are so difficult to understand, and the questions are worded so poorly. No matter how much you study, the questions rarely correlate with the study guide or lectures.
Dr. Koo is a caring professor who offers lots of extra credit to help students succeed. The class can be challenging, but using tools like Unstuck AI alongside the textbook and attending lectures can really pay off. Overall, a rewarding experience if you're willing to put in the effort.
Dr.Koo is a fantastic person. However, his lectures and tests are challenging. He does a lot of quizzes, 17 total. He has three exams, two practicum, and one final. Offers a lot of extra credit. But it's VERY fast-paced class. He didn't go over some chapters for the final, just summarizes. Hard to understand. But doable, finally over with bio146L.
I love father Koo! He's the best professor you can ask for. very helpful and offers a lot of extra credit! Very caring. As long as you participate in his class you should be good!
Dr. Koo is a great professor! He thoroughly explains concepts so that the information is remembered and gives out extra credit. He is super funny and wants students to succeed.
Dr Koo is a very caring professor who likes to chat before class. His class is manageable if you take notes. There are quizzes for each chapter, but only two of them were in class; the most important part was the four exams. The extra credit he offers is equivalent to half an exam, so it saves you.
Decent professor. His lectures were hard to understand. He usually read off the slides and made it difficult to understand. What's key are his quizzes! Understand those and compare them to your notes, and you'll be fine. He's nice, I guess, and very accessible.
Funny and entertaining lectures. Easy going and very willing to help one on one
Dr. Koo was a great professor. Although lectures were sometimes confusing, he made the slides accessible so that you could reference them later. His quizzes prepare you well for the exams, and he gives many extra credit opportunities. This course requires a lot of hard work and hours of studying, but Dr. Koo makes it possible for students to pass.
I've had Dr. Koo for over 5 classes. He is such a kind-hearted and genuine person. Bio113 is especially tough but he is very ready to help and my favorite prof at CBU
