I took Bonnie for soc 1010 and 1020. The liked the 1010 much more then the 1020. There was a wider veriety of people in the 1010. Her tests come from the book, their not hard but I can't seem to pull an A

Great teacher, actually wants to teach you, and not show how smart she is. Down to earth and tells it like it is. I have taken her for soc 1010, 1020, and 2200, and wish she taught more. Picky about attendance, but she puts in the work so you should too. Famous quote, "If you dont like it go somewhere else"!

I have taken all of Bonnie's classes because they are awesome! I work in the behav. sci. field and the things I learned from her class were real and applicable. Those who stated they didn't learn anything should try moving outside the bubble they live in. Bonnie really cares about her students and their success. I highly recommend her classes!

This professor is very knowledgeable and makes the class aplicable to current topics. I don't know where those negative comments came from. If you come to class and think, then you should be just fine. She's excellent. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!

This class is pretty much common-sense. You do learn terminology and you do gain a new perspective on people and society though. Not a bad class. She is absolutely hilarious and she really does care about all of her students. She does use concepts and some language to illustrate points, but most people aren't offended by it. Awesome professor.

I thought that she was really fun and a great teacher. The best part was the discussions that we had in class and that she didn't show up everyday to hear herself talk. She was really caring and concerned about her students. She ended each lecture telling us to take care of ourselves. She has experience in what she talks about too.

easy professor BUT beware. she does not or did not at least in this class follow the book at ALL. it was mostly just class discussion which is fine but come test time you could be in trouble if you dont read on your own outside class. may have VERY difficult opinions or views that could offend some people. but overall i would recommend her

Bonnie is KICK-ASS. Not only a great teacher- but friend for life. She cares about her students, is interesting, and has TONS of insight and experience that will help you in the field. She gives very good study guides; if you use them, you'll get an A. People who get offended at her are naive and need to grow up.

She is a nice person, the only two complaints that I have with her is that her test are poorly written. Her questions are out of context. She doesn't give any study guides for her tests. I wouldn't take her.

I had to retake soc, because...I'm a bit slow I guess, but she even works well with us "special" people. Anyway, I don't know why people complain about Bonnie's tangents...they're interesting, and we got to postpone quizzes more than I can count as a result. Bonnie rocks.

All the class is group work. Not a hard class at all but sometimes I wish she actually would have taught.

Expect lectures every day. Participate in any and all of the discussions that happen. Make sure that you read the chapters because she usually does not get through everything that is discussed in the book. Only had 16 quizzes, 3 tests and the final. Just pay attention during class and fill out the study guides and you'll succeed.

Classes consisted of lectures, quizzes and tests. Bonnie is very down to earth and wants all her students to succeed. As long as you read the textbook, listen in class and fill out the study guides, you should do great in the class.

Every day is a lecture, except for the day of the final. Be in class every day and participate in class discussions as much as you can. Read the chapters in the book as well because she doesn't get through all the concepts discussed in the book. Take notes and do the study guides and you should do well.

Attendance is the key. Weekly quizzes are easy, just matching vocab with definitions. Tests aren't bad if you just make sure to do the study guides. She takes attendance and a big portion of your grade is based on that. I would recommend this instructor

Bonnie is a great teacher!! There is a lot of reading in the class, and that reading goes along with the weekly quizzes which all have to do with vocab. The study guides correlate very well with the tests. She's very specific and open to all questions. I highly recommend her.

Must attend class, read the text book "Connecting", and study to do well on the tests. Test questions are a bit difficult--must know the details from the reading! There are 6 tests, 3 papers, a group presentation, and a comprehensive final exam. Manageable class. She's a hoot! Learned a ton to implement in life!

Professor Davis is the best. I highly recommend that you take her if you're wanting/required to take Sociology 1010. She gives you a timeline at the beginning of the semester that has all the dates of quizzes, tests, and papers. Make sure you read the textbook, it has all the answers to the tests, and quizzes. Super friendly, and hilarious!

Bonnie is pretty straightforward: read the book and you'll do just great. The lectures aren't really lectures on what we're learning, more like people who think they're really smart acting like they know everything. However, you do have to go to class because she grades on participation. I would take class from her again though!

Bonnie is the best! She is the best professor I have had at UVU by far. She cares so much about her class and is understanding of everyone. There is a lot of group work! So if you hate group work, this class probably isn't for you. One page papers on the chapters each week and not much else. She does take attendance. Would take her again for sure!

This teacher is amazing. She really makes the class feel like a family and like all of our opinions matter. Her lectures are great and she really make you analyze your life. Lots of busy work, but she has a meaning for it all at the end of the semester.

Bonnie is an awesome professor! You have to read a chapter a week and do a small write up on it. There are a couple journals. Not hard work, just take the time to do it. She is reasonable with grading. Bonnie is so funny, and loves to joke. She relates the material to real life. She does swear sometimes. I loved her class!

I took Psy2250 and Soc1010 from Bonnie and loved them both. She is awesome. Super personable and clear with her expectations. 2250 requires a lot more participation and interaction. Not a super hard grader on papers and her quizzes aren't tricky at all. If you follow along in lecture you will do well guaranteed!

Bonnie is an amazing person, she really cares about her subject and her students. This class was so easy. There are just a few papers that must be written and a few other assignments. Going to this class was really boring at times, but I honestly got a lot out of it. I didn't really learn about psychology, but I learned a lot about myself.

Bonnie is a great person and a pretty good teacher. She definitely cares about her students. Sometimes class was a little boring because there was never set lectures it was all just discussion on the same thing every day. Lot of group projects including one 75 minute presentation which was a killer. Pretty simple and straightforward class though.

Bonnie is the most "real" professor I have ever had. She is open and honest and applies class concepts to life. She is not politically correct, so if you are easily offended she may not be the professor for you. Bonnie is a fantastic lecturer and gives light homework via weekly writings. The final is from textbook concepts, not lecture notes.

Bonnie is down to earth and very kind. She wants you to do well in her class. There is a one page summary of an article due on each chapter. If you read the book, come to class for the quizzes and study for the final you will do fine. I enjoyed her stories, humor, and thoughts. I hope to take another class from her.

Bonnie's class was something I looked forward to. She treats her students with respect and understanding, and explains the material well with good examples. Just make sure to show up, because she takes roll kind of randomly, and you never know when you can miss. Assignments are simple, and the book is easy to understand.

I took Bonnie my first semester of college and was undoubtedly greeted with the best Professor I've had thus far. I'm writing this as a sophomore due to how much I miss Bonnie's class. Bonnie made very nuanced subjects into easily understandable concepts; do yourself a favor and take Prof. Davis, as we don't have the luxury at SLCC anymore ;(.

I really enjoyed taking this class from Bonnie. She is really funny, and isn't afraid to joke around and make fun of the class. She was good at talking about both sides of issues and not only focusing on one point of view. You definitely need to read. The quizzes are super easy, but since they're so easy they don't prepare you for the tests!

I really liked this class--a lot of the information can be pretty intuitive, at least for me, so it wasn't super hard. If you read the textbook you do really well on her tests--all in class and no open notes. There was one group presentation which was my least favorite, but other than that there was minimal work. Bonnie is awesome!

Bonnie is absolutely amazing! I loved going to class, she involved all the student and listened to our opinions. She very real, passionate about the topics and down to earth. I didn't get the best grade because I didn't do as much reading as I should have and I had a hard time memorizing all the terms. Would still 100% take this class again.

Professor Davis is one of those teachers you either love or hate. I personally loved the class and was actually excited to come in every lecture. Attendance in mandatory and she asks for participation, but it's actually really interesting topics and the professor is very knowledgeable. She's funny and makes class super interesting every lecture.

I absolutely loved this class, Bonnie is amazing! I loved coming to class. She doesn't really lecture, it's more of a discussion which made it enjoyable. There are 7 quizzes, but she always let us know when they were going to be and reviewed most of the info before we took them. Aside from that no h/w. just read the textbook and you'll be fine!

Always would apply what we were learning to us specifically in class. Shes super blunt and is not afraid to call you out, but it was a very safe and fun environment. Work is not challenging- not much homework. Attendance is only important because of pop quizes.
