Ms. Flory is an amazing proffesor. She is super helpful and intellagent. Y have to take lots of notes in class, Taking the notes will help you acheive a grade of an A by retaining the information. I look foward to taking her in the fall in social problems course. She is the best proffesor I have had @ BC.

3 exams and 2 papers. If you study the outlines and follow the rule bricks you will get an A. She will keep you for the whole class period with no break but you will have fun. She is a great professor and her lectures would be the debate of the week among your family, friends, and coworkers.

This class is a joke. 3 tests are word for word from the notes. She's really cool and nice, keeps the class awake and interested for the most part. She's a little pretentious though, and acts like she's the first prof to make you think for yourself. Easy A, strict on attendance, two papers, three tests. Take it.

A bit pretentious but very nice and helpful. Eye-openning. I was what society would consider a hippie beforehand, and now I'm even more-so. Tests are wildly easy, but projects are time-consuming. Still, it is a great class to learn in, not just get an A. I strongly recommend her for everyone.

She is a great, passionate professor. She really makes you feel like you could do anything. Although the course itself was a little too socialism-endorsing, I thoroughly enjoyed the class. If I feel comfortable emailing a professor asking for help after the course is taken, then they are a great professor in my eyes. She is that kind of professor.

Great class. Professor is very passionate and knowledgeable about the subject matter. Two projects. Be clear on instructions for both. Nothing terrible, tests are easy and everything comes from the power point notes. You do not need to buy or rent the book.

Ms. Flory practices what she preaches. She's motivated and strong-hearted and it rubs off on her students. She makes sure you turn in every assignment and as a teacher she boosts your morale. I definitely recommend this teacher for sociology.

Very helpful and awesome teacher! I would totally take her again. But if you don't plan to attend class don't bother. She teaches and relates a lot of the material to real life situations which makes it easier to understand material. We didn't once open the book. Waste of money, she uses powerpoint slides and teaches.

Professor Flory was really amazing! 3 hour class didnt feel like 3 hours because it was so interesting. Definitely leaving that class with a new perspective. 3 advocacy letters, 3 exams pretty easy. Tells you that you need the textbook but never uses it, only her slides. Write down all her slides, study & you'll pass!

Professor Flory is one of the best professor I have ever taken at Broward college. Not only are her lectures amazing and interesting but she makes her classes fun. It was sad for me to end her class !! However I suggest any student to take her class, its an Easy A or B and its great !!

Professor Flory is one of the BEST teachers in Broward college. Her work is very easy and simple just take notes. She WILL HELP YOU. Also she is always there for you and is very motherly. I did not like her at first because she was a real B. But she is an open book a person you can talk to about anything. The class is very interesting.

Definitely one of the best Profs at BC!! Pay attention in class and her tests will be a breeze, (they are half short answer) or sleep and u won't do so good. Honestly, I'd study about an hour before class and still get 98 or 96 on her exams. Anyone who fails her class clearly wasn't trying! Easy A!!!

I attended BC a couple years ago and took my first introductory sociology class. This professor really had a positive impact on me and I eventually changed major to sociology at FAU. She is awesome you won't regret taking a class with her!

I took her fast track in the fall. There were three tests and an advocacy letter. No need to buy the book, I got it and it is still in the plastic rap. The tests are based off the PowerPoint and if you take notes during the PowerPoint you'll be fine. Participation is a percentage of the grade but overall the class is an easy A.

Professor Flory is super nice and well respected by her students! She is super knowledgeable on sociology and loves what she teaches. She taught us things that were valuable for our lives. And the class was decently easy, only three short papers and 2 tests.

Professor Flory is THE BEST!! she is very good at teaching her lectures. I really learned a lot. Just make sure that you show up on time and that you do all the work. Do not come to class prepare cause she can and will get upset. Other than that, she is very nice and helpful. really takes her time to make sure you understand the lesson.

Professor Flory is the only good professor I have ever encountered in my two years at BC. It is SOO refreshing to have such a young & enthusiastic professor. Professor Bonnie is by far the best professor that I've had so far at BC. Her teaching of sociology is so real and amazing, & she definitely cares about her students; she will stay whatever time to help you out. You won't regret taking her, she's a gem.

She is a great teacher. However, she says the textbook is mandatory. Not once have I opened the textbook. The tests are based on the notes and movies we are required to watch. She gives a study guide, and we do have lectures in class that youre required to participate in. Plus, one easy essay and discussion boards. Overall, good teacher.

I love this Professor, she cares about her students and her passion shines through. You do not need the textbook I never used mine. Write down the notes from her powerpoint and study your notes based on the study guide she gives and you will pass! The lowest exam grade I received was a 92% I highly suggest taking her!! Easy A if you try

Bonnie is an amazing professor! I love her class, I thought at first the class would be boring, but it is such a relatable class and I learned so much, and how it realated to my everyday life! Make sure to show up and take notes! You will love Bonnie and Sociology!!

Shes a really great professor. Knowledge in her subject. However, her humor is pretty inappropriate. Shell tell you, you need the textbook. Not once did I open it, I regret removing it from the package because its non returnable. Tests are common sense. Loved the videos. Learned a lot! I also love how she will ask the class what we want to do!

Prof Flory is an amazing sociology professor. She exposes modern day social issues in a way that is understandable, relatable, & interesting. You will speak about a lot of "sensitive" subjects in her class, which I loved. Attendance is 10% of grade, and she will only give out her notes in person, so don't miss class. Only one paper, piece of cake!

I love professor bonnie she is smart and loving! I took both syg2000 and syg2010 at PBSC with her and I enjoyed coming to class every week. The advocacy letter taught me how to be a better writer especially learning not to write "IT and THIS". She will stay after class to help you. Her story is amazing, she never gave up on her education.

In my class of over 30 people, no one got lower than an A-. She's honestly the best, and I looked forward to going to school for her class. Pay attention, open your mind, learn something.

I took her for Sociology of Human Sexuality and she is very open about her sex life so if that bothers you, you may want to pick another professor. The BEST professor I ever had. I wish I could take every class with her. She is so funny & very open. There's notes almost every class & if you miss a lot of classes you probably won't pass the tests. I recommend her to literally every person I talk to.

I took the 50% in-class 50% online version. Everything on the exams was said in lecture or assigned movies, but she doesn't post PPTs to D2L so you have to show up. Online quizzes were based on textbook readings, not on lecture, so you have to read. So long as you show up to class, watch the films, and read the chapters you'll get an A.

Honestly if you don't pass with an A, I would be extremely worried. 18 quizzes which all the answers were online to, midterm and final which are super easy, and one paper which is easily graded. Easiest A ever, nice professor, answers quickly to emails.

Professor Flory is amazing. She's really funny, but in a way that doesn't interfere with learning content. Her class rules will be enforced, but they are more than reasonable. I would take as many of her classes as I could if I were staying at Broward and I recommend her to all of my friends Sociology major or not!

This professor really teaches! Not only does the class learn the material through discussion,reading, and documentaries, this professor wants to make sure you are able to research and write well. I really learned a lot from this professor and would take another class from her and refer it to others.

Took online last semester, a lot of reading, wrote 3 or 4 papers, 2 proctored exams with 100 questions each. Professor did not offer any extra credits nor specific exam reviews. You just have to read all the chapters for review. Some of the test questions weren't even related to the class material but if you read the chapters you'll be OK.

Good professor. A bunch of quizzes (not proctored), 8x discussions, 3 assignments, one final, a proctored midterm and final. Gives good feedback, extends deadlines, and responses to emails. You have to read the book though because the midterm and final are based on it.

I TOOK HER FOR DUAL ENROLLMENT AND SHE WAS AMAZING, SHE WAS MY FIRST INTRODUCTION TO HIGHER LEVEL LEARNING AND I 10/10 WOULD TAKE HER CLASS AGAIN. SHE MADE LECTURES FUN AN INTERACTIVE.

There are a lot of quizzes but they are to hard to find. This class was pretty much easy and also do not forget to comment under two other student post or you will get a bad grade for the discussion. Nothing was hard about this class!!!!!

Prof. Flory makes the class fun. You will do 10 discussions(for each, you will answer 5 questions with 1-2 paragraphs for each question. Yep, lots of writing) + you will have to do Revel homework (the answers are on Quizlet )and that's it. She's a good grader, just try your best to do your assignments and you will do great!

She's real nice. Lot's of writing, 10 discussions 1-2 paragraphs each question with 2 replies to other students. Also there's assignments on Revel, but it's easy. Her class "lectures" are more like a discussion to talk about what you learned or your opinion about the material that week. EASY

Shes excellent. Take her. Its very chill just do the assignments and submit on time. Classes are just discussions on the topic for the week and shes very smart.

She made class fun. 10 discussions which is a quite a bit of writing but you'll manage and revel assignments. No exams when I had her so that was amazing .

I took this as a dual enrollment class, it was easy. Assignments are due on Sunday at 11.59 pm. There is a lot of writing. sometimes multiple discussion posts are due that same week. The quizzes are easy. The discussion post videos are long. She is an understanding teacher. I didn't like the long videos.

This class had lots of writing to do. The discussions were time consuming to do but the assignments were easy. Overall this class is not that hard unless you get behind or do not do the assignments as it will cause your grade to drop. The final exam and midterm are proctored

Shes nice, but she just assigns wayyyy to much work. Basically, an essay due every other week with longgg videos she assigns to watch in order to complete the essay, and chapter readings with like 100+ questions attached to them. She accepts late work though.

I LOVED Professor Flory!! She was so kind & caring. Her passion for sociology and her students really shows. Taking this course with her was such a pleasure.

Professor Flory is so down to earth. The way she teach is very interactive, and inspirational. She is accommodating, and provide help to students if they need it. She made learning so much fun. And even though there is a ton of reading, I promise if you do your part you will reap the benefits. My grade was because of me. But this is an easy class.

Professor Flory was a very nice professor and not a tough grader. There is a proctored midterm and final. There is a lot of writing that consists of this class. The discussions are documentaries followed by five questions which you need to write 1-2 paragraphs for each question, followed by a paragraph for two people you replied too.

Bonnie is a great professor. You have to watch videos and this class require a lot of writing but it's easy to complete. Out of all the SYG professor she is the easiest and the workload isn't hard compared to other professor whose teaching sociology.

20% easy midterm and final, 70% unit discussions and 10% easy quizzes. Get ready to write a lot for your unit documentary discussions, 5 questions for each documentary and 1-2 paragraphs for each answer. She's also a semi-tough grader, will take points off if you dont answer exactly the way she wants. Not an easy grade but it is doable.

I really enjoyed Professor Flory's energy, she's very easy to talk to.

She is a very understanding also flexible person ( a bit unorganized but her passion for the subject makes up for it). Lots of writing so stay on top of those papers I'd definitely say put all the effort you can into them. The chapter readings and quizzes she's a bit more lenient on extending due dates and its mainly b/c she wants focus on papers.

TAKE HER!!! She's the best. She's so sweet and the class was not at all that hard. Most of the assignments/quizes we had were in the online textbook. I learned a lot from her. You do need to show up to every class and on time or else she'll make you write essays as a consequence. The discussions are a lot of writing but I still loved the class!
