She is very helpful, always encourages questions, very patient with everyone and understanding. Absolutely wonderful teacher!!
Not a good teacher for someone who is shy and does not ask questions. Tough to understand at times.

very helpful.
She is awesome. she built my math foundation. Good wrokload. Perfectly helpful and considerate. I can take her for all my math classes in life i recomend that for anyone too. She is capable. I love her.
i loved sister moon! she made math fun. just do your homework and you will come out with a good grade. she reviewed assignments the next day in class- allowed students to ask questions. she applied math to real life which made you want to learn. i got an a in the class.
Her class requires alot of study time, and a complete understanding of Math 112. She makes class enjoyable with lots of demonstrations.
Great person and interesting teacher with lots of cool visual examples (at least in our class). Surround yourself with smart people, ask lots of questions, work together outside of class, understand concepts not just problems in the book, do you homework and listen to what she says, => do all these things and you will grow as a student and in math.
I loved Sis. Moon. She was relaly great and explaining the most basic concepts. Always makes sure you know the concepts before moving on.
really great teacher. great at making the material easy t o understnad. shes realy funny too. i loved her :)
I loved Sister Moon! She makes math applicable and fun. She is very helpful and goes over questions on the homework. Keep up with your homework and you should do great. She made me want to go to class.
Goes off on tangents a lot about things that don't pertain to the subject, blew up at us one day about how we shouldn't watch TV and should study all the time, other then the occasional things where she is scary, she is a great teacher and very helpful! Wants you to understand the subject and not just make the grade.
At first I hated the class, but it wasn't really that bad. Just doing your homework should help you get a good grade. If you have any questions, ask. Attend class everyday. If you do, she will raise your grade, so if you earned a B, she'll give you a B+.
Such a great teacher always there to help you in and outside of class. She wants you to pass and will help you in anyway so can!!
Amazing teacher, entertaining and caring about the students. A good amount of homework (plenty but not too much).
Sister Moon is great, so sweet ans so nice.Homework is very reasonable. I am awful at math and I came out with a B.
Very Very good teacher. Willing to help and won't move on until you understand what you're doing. Wants you to see you succeed and will do everything she can to make sure that happens. Highly Recommended.
sister moon is amazing! i hate math but she made it so worth while she is one of those teachers that you can totally tell loves math and is more than willing to help you with anything you need!she is great i would take her again in a second
She will do everything in her power to help you succeed. I am not that great at Math, but she will give you all the help you need to pass.
I liked Sister Moon, she has a very bubbly personality. However, I found it very difficult to understand her teaching method. She goes off on tangents, and is very fast--it's easy to get far behind fast if you don't get EVERYTHING. She tries to help understand, but on her level, and that's difficult when she's a Doctor of Mathematics!
knows alot but seems unorganized. Briefly covers stuff thats on the test. Spends alot of time for stuff not on the test. Homework and Projects easy but soooooo time consuming. Leaving less time to study for the stuff not taught. Sends too much time teaching religion instead of math. might as well tak online. I felt like I was teaching myself.
I really liked Sister Moon. She usually starts off class with a spiritual thought, which I really appreciated. She makes things pretty easy to understand (although math comes pretty easily for me), and I enjoyed the group stats project she has you do. Good class, fairly easy. She's a super nice teacher too. I'd recommend her for sure.
Sister Moon has a heart of gold, but she's not the greatest teacher. She is difficult to understand. She is not clear about assignments, due dates, or the principles she is teaching. I would recommend taking Business Stats from someone else.
I loved Sister Moon's class. I didn't know anything about stats going in, and came out really getting what she taught. Sometimes you really have to pay attention, but she is MORE than willing to help anytime! She's the nicest person, and really wants to help you learn! I'd take another class from her in a heartbeat!
SHE IS THE BOMB !!!
Sister Moon is a part-time teacher, and unfortunately it shows. She IS a nice person as the reviews state, but realistically thats not what makes a teacher effective. Honestly speaking, she appears to have a difficult time running an organized class. She knows the material but has an a hard time effectively teaching it. Very unclear & frustrati
Sister Moon is one of the most willing to help teachers I have ever had. Her exams are a huge part of your grade and that is the one thing I didn't like about this class. She is very willing to work with you if you did poorly on an exam or assignments. She is so kind but sometimes unclear when it comes to explaining things.
She's so enthusiastic and helpful! I love Sis. Moon . :)
She really knows statistics but she is terrible at explaining. Probably the worst teacher i have ever had at "teaching". also she does her own methods of doing statistics so its not only useless information once you leave her class but its difficult to impossible to figure it out on your own
Sweet lady, horrible teacher. Spends half the class talking about religious stuff instead or course material. Goes way too fast. She knows her stuff, but sucks at explaining it. Good luck.
Nice Lady, really nice. Worst professor ever. Half the class was spent singing hymns or bearing testimonies. You don't learn anything, never you use the $100 book, and don't have enough homework/examples to make sure you are understanding the material. Not recommended for anyone.
Sister Moon genuinely cares about her students and is great at helping to explain topics outside of class. I loved the spirit in class and the way she helped us use the learning model-- organized into missionary districts with "companions" (study buddy). In her class we learned not only about calculus, but about leadership, teamwork, & the gospel
She is really nice but she has to be the worst teacher I have ever had. She is terrible at explaining things. She gives very few example and is hard to follow. Too much time is spent on spiritual things as opposed to learning the material. I did find she is better at explaining when you visit her one on one in her office.
She does not explain things well at all. She is rude when someone makes a mistake and makes fun of them. She makes exams worth almost your entire grade. She did not make class fun or interesting, just boring and stressful.
Great person and very enthusiastic. Unrealistic expectations. and Scheduling is way whacked
She is very enthusiastic about teaching and seems to know the material, however she is terrible at comprehending the students understanding and level. Good smart lady, terrible teacher. She tries too hard to stick to her agenda created before the semester, and too much time on the easy, and not enough on the hard. The class is run very elementary
Sister Moon is Horrible, I love statistics and understand it well, but this lady is a psycho. She doesnt treat her students well at all and will openly humiliate them in front of the class DO NOT TAKE HER, DO NOT TAKE HER, DONT DO IT! Unless you want to hate life. I wish I knew this before I signed up for this class. SHES TERRIBLE!!!
This was my first time taking Calc. Do your homework and make it to class everyday and this class won't be a problem. If you don't know how to solve problems without using a calculator then I would recommend a different professor. She really wanted us to succeed and let us know how important that was to her. Overall it was a really fun class for me
Sister Moon is great. She is great at working with people who do not love statistics. She makes the subject (dare I say it: Fun! I love the "Hybrid" course. It is new, and there were a minor problems, but she took care of everything. The extra support from Sister Moon and the TA was great. Everything in the hybrid helps you learn stats well.
Great teacher. She cares.
Don't be afraid of the hybrid section. You actually get a lot more help than the other classes. It looks like a big time commitment, but Sister Moon explains it so well, you get your work done faster. It The free textbook explains everything out, step-by-step.
there is lots of help in the hybrid course. take it instead of the regular one. all the extra help makes it easier.
Alright, I have no idea how this teacher has a 3.6. She's too "spiritual and cries"? Reality check, you go to BYU-i... If you think someone is too spiritual get your priorities checked. Sister Moon's set up isn't bad at all. It helps being in groups so you can compare and figure out where you went wrong. She's so sweet. You have to do homework.DUH.
If you'd like to learn how the Gospel can help you with stats, take Sister Moon. If you want to learn stats, take someone else. She spends way too much time on scheduling, myriad assignments, and spiritual thoughts, and not enough time teaching or addressing questions. If you make a mistake in class, prepare to be humiliated by her.
Prepare to do a lot of learning on your own. Class time is spent planning, scheduling, making sure people are in groups, etc. Not much time is spent going over new material. Tangents on behavior and "feelings" go on upwards of 20 minutes. If you can learn concepts on your own, you can compensate for lack of productive class time.
explained with the line: "go back and reread the section" every time a question was asked. We spent most of our time talking about the stat program we were pioneering (which is a HORRIBLE program complete with unwritten text and impossibly vague tests which aren't curved). Nice person, but not a good program/teacher combo. DO NOT TAKE STATS W/ HER!
this class is awful with her teaching it. she TAKES STUDENTS NOTES. why on earth would you do that? we need those to study. she doesnt really care. i emailed her a lot, and her answers were NEVER great...she was just giving an answer to give it. dont take it from her
If you always dreamed of sitting in relief society and learning calculus then take it from sis. moon.
Prepare to do a lot of learning on your own. Class time is spent planning, scheduling, making sure people are in groups, etc. Not much time is spent going over new material. Tangents on behavior and "feelings" go on upwards of 20 minutes!!!. If you can learn concepts on your own, you can compensate for lack of productive class time. Do not take her
Sister Moon is a wonderful person and teacher. I feel like maybe the class time was not very helpful but if you talk to her one on one, she can really clear things up. There is a lot of group work before classes so be prepared to rely on your group and yourself to learn most/all of the material in this class. It was very interesting and useful!
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS FROM SISTER MOON! she is a sweet person but a terrible teacher. The ONLY time I learned anything from the class was when I met with the tutor one on one. She never explains anything that you miss on test/quizzes/ homework. Horrible class. Avoids questions. Literally ran down the hall when I was trying to ask her questions.
PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS CLASS. FOR YOUR OWN GOOD DONT. She gets the topic but CANNOT teach. embarasses students who don't understand in front of class, avoids questions, doesn't review exams which are NOTHING like her assignments. Book is awful, Tutor and videos were literally my saving grace. Focuses of faith being your solution to not understanding
I can see why people think she is too spiritual for math classes. I felt it to be appropriate. She is very nice and if it is her first time teaching the course she is very forgiving. She learns as she goes. I really enjoyed the class and felt that she was an effective administrator of the course.
In her criteria she make you readlearn the section alone before class, which doesn't work when trying to learn a higher level math. You pretty much have to learn the material alone. Her lectures aren't helpful.
Absolutely amazing lady! Sister Moon is so bubbly and fun in class. Even though there are tons of assignments for each lesson, we were all separated into the same groups of four or five students for the whole semester, and you do ALL your homework together. Maybe I got lucky with a hard working group, but this class was so easy to pass. Loved it!
She was extremely nice and helpful when I needed her to be but hardly ever explained anything, most of her lectures were spiritual testimonies and I didn't feel like I learned anything from her but everything from my group.
Not the best teacher. She gives more testimonies and goes over tests but doesn't explain anything. Even if I ask a question she will do the problem for you rather than explain the problem. If you are good at math then she is your teacher, but if not choose another teacher.
Sister Moon is great, she is gives clear and concise requirements for her class. She made it fun and easy to learn. I would recommend her class to anyone.
I really enjoyed this class. Sister Moon is always very enthusiastic about the subject material. She strives to show us the spiritual importance of the material as well as the earthly importance. She's very friendly, kind, and approachable . I always felt comfortable asking questions in class.
Sister Moon is by far my least favorite teacher. She does not help you learn the criteria. She treats her students like high-school students and does not follow through when teaching. I do not recommend taking her class. You will not learn anything and be frustrated.
Sister Moon doesn't teach at all, she is very air headed and doesn't even know what she's teaching. But then docks you for every little thing. She nevers teaches you the material either, you first teach yourself and if you have questions then you ask your group. She was never there for me when i needed help and she lectures you like a child.
All things aside, Sister Moon is an absolutely beautiful woman! Back on topic: She is excited about what she teaches. Sometimes it isn't clear how she gets to her answers, which requires a little bit more effort. She makes you work for it but she is pretty open to help. Different teaching style than others but a great experience! Id take her again
She is one of the nicest people on campus. There are only a handful of professors who care about their students as much as she does. The class structure was chaotic. She would make mistakes in class and make it clear that she had not reviewed the material before class. If she had prepared more it would have gone better.
It is nice since everything is online. She is the most caring teacher there is. She definitely wants everybody to get an A. Obviously you are going to have to do a little work but she makes it very possible. Shes very loving and cares about everyone. I would definitely take her again.
Sister Moon really is caring and willing to share her testimony. She is a beautiful person and wants her students not to only succeed in her class but in life too. Lots of quizzes and homework but if you do it you will learn. She does want you in your seat before class starts. She is great at answering questions.
Moon is a great teacher! I felt like the format of her class was very conducive to learning into to analysis. This class can be tough but her layout of the class makes it so you can focus more on learning the material instead of wasting time being frustrated or spinning your wheels. Always was happy with her desire to help students succeed.
Sister Moon is a very spiritual woman. While this is a great quality, it is difficult In the classroom because she spends a lot of time talking about spiritual things, rather than teaching the advanced math. Also, she would often quiz us on thing that we hadn't yet covered and things were always keyed wrong. It was very frustrating taking her class
ok teacher, but with unreasonable demands. If you like busy work and able to spend about 3-4 hours a day on this class, this class will be an easy A. What I really dont like about this class was the unreasonable amount of work. This is a 5 day class and there are quizzes everyday, daily prep work, daily hw, weekly projects, midterm, and a final
It's a 300 level math class. Its going to tough. Make it easier on yourself and pick a good teacher. Sis Moon treats you like adults (OYH reading and review work), but includes enough assignments to ease the stress of exams. She's willing to work with you with whatever help you need to understand as long as you are trying (retakes on exams/quizzes)
Imagine if LDS missionaries taught mathematics. She wants you to do reading and work to prepare for the next lesson, which optimally, is the next day. Study and learn yourself but if you struggle preparing you'll be taught what you need in class during the next lecture. Homework and prep work due every night, quiz every weekend, project every unit.
Lot's of homework, 1 -2 hours a night and tests every week.
By far the worst professor i had in my entire college career. Assignments and quizzes were written often the day that they were due. Almost every single assignment, quiz, and test had errors, mistakes, and typos in it. Seems unprepared for class everyday but gets angry and yells at class if they are unprepared. Cries regularly in class. Horrible.
She is a truly inspirational teacher. She has been and is constantly researching the best ways to teach students and has been implementing her learnings in the structure of her class, a structure highly based on agency, as well as effective collaboration. You have to do your work, and be willing to participate, and I promise, you'll learn!
I have never seen a professor who cared about the students more than Sister Moon. Only downside: sometimes we wouldn't get through all the homework in class. She's always going out of her way to help us, especially when covid came along and we had to transition to remote class. I think she worked herself to the bone trying to help us through that.
Sister Moon definitely tries very hard and is very caring, but she just didn't teach us much. I took Calc 2 from her and my friend and I just had to teach ourselves. I think she tries too hard to use the teach one another part of the learning model. I learned the most the couple days the TA taught class. So, if you like teaching yourself, go for it
She is amazing and cares for the students. I took her for both 112 and 316 and I am glad I did. Any 300 level math class you need to put in the work, but I felt it was reasonable. Her classes have a lot of bugs since she tries new things each year. Go to class and you wont regret it.
Sister Moon is the most amazing teacher I have ever had. She is so passionate about her teaching which makes learning difficult subjects a lot easier. If you ever have a hard time in the class, she is very understanding and will take time to sit down with you and go over anything you need help with. 100% recommend
She is one of the best Calculus teachers I've ever had and that's coming from someone who had to take college calculus 3 times, and passed twice. (long story) She is a very caring person and organized. Even though she does like to just talk a little bit at the beginning of class, she always gets through the things that she plans for the day. 10/10.
Sister Moon was a super nice and caring person. If you worked with her, she would help you. She also takes time to have a prayer and devotional in class. Besides that, her lectures didn't make much sense. She gets distracted super easily, and often doesn't leave enough time to answer questions. Lots of busy work that isn't graded too.
She's one of the nicest professors I've ever had, but wow she is an awful teacher. I just skipped class every day except for Friday when there were group quizzes because class time was actually useless for learning, so this is a course where you have to independently learn. Avoid her class at all costs, going to class is a waste of time in hers
Professor Moon is the best! I was able to see her during office hours because she's so accessible. She cares about us personally and wants every student to succeed. Totally take a class with her!
This professor will give us a group project to complete and set us loose before stepping back and waiting for us to give her our attention even though she just had us start a group project. She then lectures us on the importance of respect and tells us to do better before letting us resume the aforementioned assignment. This happens regularly.
Sister Moon is an easy teacher. She is helpful and kind and invites the spirit into her classroom. She lets you re-do any assignment or test. She also cares about her students so much. I did not have any personal ties to Sister Moon, but she was genuinely so kind to all of us. She answers emails quickly and has in-class lab days to help student.
Sister Moon is really sweet and cares about her students. She is always willing to work with students to help them revive the best possible grades and learn more. She also makes learning excel easy and fun.
Sister Moon is one of the best professors I had in college. She will make you work hard, attend calls and participate. That is the price of learning! I appreciate her teaching style, course organization, and preparation. She expects us to work hard, but is is working even harder!
Sis. Moon is the absolute best teacher you can have for this course. She made the course very doable: doing boardwork in class, letting you check the answer key for the homework, and even giving you a preview of what will be in the test. But don't slack off, it'll be hard to catch up if you do. Her final was easy. Overall great experience!
Sister Moon is the most excellent teacher. She so genuinely cares about you, and loves the gospel. She truly wants what is best for you, and will help you meet your goals. She works to help you succeed, and there is no reason anyone should not pass this class. She gives us so many chances to increase our test grades. Group assignments and ALEKS.
Sister Moon is a great person and cares a lot about you and math. She is horrible about actually teaching you and expects you to learn everything from Aleks which doesn't explain how to solve the problems very well. If you want to teach yourself take her.
Struggled with bad math teachers in HS, she made college math easier just from being a better teacher. This was not a class that I stressed about. Sister Moon emanates christlike love and warmth. I always felt better after being in class. Certain projects suck bc they're in excel and it's hard to get hands on help in class and obviously outside.
This is a 5 credit class with mandatory attendance. You use an online program for 99% of your homework. To succeed you CAN NOT get behind, but Sis Moon doesn't give extra homework and does a great job of explaining and answering questions in a kind way. There is a group quiz weekly. The class outline requires participation regardless of teacher.
Sister Moon is an amazing Professor. She conveys he material clearly and concisely. Math 316 is supposed to be intense, which it can be; however, the instructor is supportive and always willing to help you learn. She cares for each individual and wants them to succeed. She is very inspiring and focuses on being a disciple of Christ.
