We worked really hard but she helped the whole time. Go to her office for help she will help you so much and always takes time to work out the writing. She grades hard but you know what to fix. I would take her again.
Professor Gunn is an amazing instructor and person. She really cares about the stability and well-doing of her students. She will try to help those that want to be helped and mentor those that seek her aid. I really recommend her:D her test are a little challenging but nothing that a good reading and some attention can solve.
Mrs. Gunn is awesome. She is very helpful and takes the time to review your writing so that you can do well in her class. I would recommend anyone to take her class. She may be a bit tough on grading but you will get so much knowledge from her teaching methods.
Im taking her Summer1 2010, SHE SUCKS! She expects us to know like 4 chapters in 4 days, seriously! Her tests are super hard, she is "nice" yet annoying, DONT TAKE HER DURING SUMMER!! BAD BAD TEACHER. Whoever said shes hot must be blind cause shes NOT! DONT TAKE HER NEEVEEEEER UGHHHHHH :(((
OK so here is the thing...Summer classes are fast. She does expect use to cover about a chapter a day but so does anyone else teaching bio in the summer. Her tests are fair and she answers every question I have when I email her. The online quizzes also help alot and cover about half of the test questions.
Took her in the spring and made an A. I worked for it and learned alot. Read the comments from the summer class, I would tell you she is fair, but summer with her would be super hard b/cuz she is hard. Just keep working at it.
DO NOT TAKE HER . !
DO NOT TAKE HER IN THE SUMMER! I'm not asking for an extreme easy teacher for biology, but she goes way too fast, expects a lot from us and is plain mean. If you can, take any other teacher for Biology during the summer, if there's no option, I'd say.. just wait till the fall/spring. GOOD LUCK IF YOU TAKE HER!
Summer hard but fair. I like her would take her for next part if she taught it this summer. But she is hard. You have to study your notes she puts only notes on test.
She is an amazing instructor. I don't know where all the comments about her being tough are coming from. I took her this summer. Really helpful. As long as you study your notes and practice quizzes you should be fine. She really explains everything thoroughly and makes everything easy to understand.
Took her for bio I in the spring, Bio II in the summer and am signed upr to take A&P I with her in the fall...Guess that says it all.
she is an awesome teacher, tough, but awesome! I had her this summer and i am pleased to say that i learned alot! her test are not that hard, ad her lectures are fun. take her if you really want to learn and not just get the "Easy A"
I just had her for summer; she is AMAZING to take if you love to learn! She is not easy, but she is fun and helpful. :) I highly recommend!
JUST TOOK HER FOR SUMMER I EASY A JUST DO EVERY STUDY GUIDE GIVEN AND YOU WILL DO GOOD. DOESNT USE BOOK BUT HELPS ALOT, 5 EXAMS BUT DROPS LOWEST. MAKE SURE UR DOING GOOD IN LAB ALSO MRS. GUNN U ROCK
Mrs. Gunn is an awesome professor! She has a lot of energy and loves biology so it keeps you awake during class. It's not one of the easiest classes but you just need to study the power points on your own. I highly recommend her :).
Awesome professor! Powerpoints are available online, online quizzes are extremely helpful.
Biology is a hard subject for me, but just by going over what she says will be on the test (she will get to a question and jokingly ask if that is subtle enough) I managed to pull through just fine. Attend all the classes to help it all make sense. Great teacher!
She's a great professor. 4 exams, 50 questions each, over 3 chapters, and a cumulative final (optional). The exams are NOT easy! You must study hard & think about the questions to get them right. Overall a hard subject but she's very enthusiastic so just take her. Go to class 'cause she explains very well and helps you understand.
Mrs. Gunn is a wonderful teacher, I already new alot about anatomy before attending the class, but she makes re-learning it so much fun and entertaining. Her tests are pretty easy if you study and she encourages her students to ask questions and be involved.
Wow! I learned so much I can't beleive it. I didn't understand as much as I thought I did when the class started but by the end I am able to really understand what she is saying and it is cool. I hope she teaches another class I have to take so I will have her again. I feel ready to take my nursing classes now. By the way you will have to study!
This class is so intersting but i will admit it was hard. However you have to keep up with the powerpoints to pass. She give 5 exams and a final but drops the lowest grade. Attendance us mandatory for bonus points with the clicker.
It is a very hard class, it needs lots of time dedicated. Very helpful professor when you have questions, always available for extra help. Her test are easy if u study all material plus the practice test. The way she teaches is wonderful, you really pay attention because she is very interesting. Take it you will not regret it.
Ms. Gunn is THE BEST professor. The class is not easy because it's a lot of material but she has so much enthusiasm and just hearing her squeaky voice keeps you from falling asleep. She is a sweetheart but wont put up with laziness. If you are willing to study you WILL do well and learn so much. Take the class with her but be prepared to work hard.
Nice lady but she's a pro. Study all that she gives you, do your reading, and stay on top of the quizzes and you will have learned a lot. Overall good class, you gotta go tho......
A&P II was NOT easy. This class is worth 60% of your grade (lab is 30%). Gunn takes attendance and administered tests through "clickers"; there are 5 tests and an final (if you take all, your lowest grade drops) The ppts are KEY to passing - READ THEM. Gunn is a very good teacher, but her tests are very difficult. Prepare for a lot of studying.
I have got to say this class is the hardest I've taken an Pan Am. She is a very good professor, very knowledgeable in this subject. The tests are pretty difficult if you don't study but to pass em you need to know the material forwards and backwards and do the study guides she provides. There there for a reason. Oh, and attendence is mandatory!
awesome quirky professor. explains everything so well. exams are pretty difficult, but study the powerpoints and make sure you do good in lab.
Best anatomy teacher, if you need to learn the subject her and Mr. Campbell are great. You'll see a lot of people say she's hard, I never got below a A, you just need to study. Her test are directly from PowerPoint and if you get her previous test from LAC it saves you from her hardest test questions. A++++ worth for my cash and time!!!!
DO NOT TAKE FOR BIOLOGICAL WRITING!!! She makes the class super difficult and more annoying than it needs to be. She talks down on students, is rude, and extremely unpleasant. Takes off points for any little thing on essays. Very picky with grading papers. Hated her class. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE. Instead of encouraging students she will put them down.
She is a WONDERFUL professor and really cares about her students grades. Though the subject maybe kind of hard, she makes it seem easy. Plus, if you do the study guides it's for sure you'll pass her exams, it's just a matter of studying. And she is quite funny and interesting and won't have you falling asleep in class.Would definitely recommend her.
She made this class very interesting and fun for a non-biology major. You didn't have to read the textbook, and a lot of the info was on the PowerPoints. Just do all quizzes and the study guide and you should pass.
Hard class. Really good professor. I have to take it again but will take it with her. She was very clear and helped us with giving us homework to learn it better.
i LOVED her class. She makes things easy to understand. You get points for attending class, and gives extra credit. I am taking her for part 2 so i would recommend her. Even though i got a B I am still content with that. You determine your own grade. Shes funny too:)
Took her for summer and got an A. She teaches great and keeps the class focused by using the clicker, it helped me. What makes this class difficult is that there is a lot of content to study but the HW (unlimited attempts) helps. Also LAC tests help out
I loved Mrs. Gunn!! I took her part one and two which I have made A's. She a wonderful professor and is passionate about helping students. The subject itself is hard so just study and use her study guides you will do great. Plus the FINAL IS OPTIONAL!
Very hard test. Not helpful with study guides. Its very hard to know whats going to be on the tests. Class drags a lot. You need to read in order to understand what she's saying. Very long power points. Doesn't make the class interesting. Very nice teacher, but not for me.
DON'T TAKE HER!
very very nice woman, the first part of class she seems rude and disconnected only because you are working with chemicals and she doesnt want you to get hurt as students in her previous class have. the labs are fun, but a lot of math, there is a pre lab that must be turned in every day and then a quiz right after that.
Very hard subject that requires a lot of reading and studying to begin with. Gunn is a very helpful professor. She encourages you to ask questions and wants you to learn the material. Has an interesting lecture all the time. Tests are difficult.
Very good professor! She is passionate about Anatomy and Physiology. She is helpful, if you go to her office she will help you understand the subject. During her exams, do not show up late, talk, look down at the floor, scratch your leg, or anything that looks like you might be cheating. Just breath, keep your eyes on your test.
You HAVE to attend class everyday if because she asks clicker questions and that is a part of your grade. Her exams are nearly impossible. They're extremely detailed over 4 chapters. She does try to be funny but she can't be a real pain when it comes to time management. She locks the doors 5 minutes before set class time.
Mrs. Gunn is the best! I had her in the spring 2014. Participation does matter & it's done wclickers so you really can't afford to be absent. The 5 tests are also taken via clicker, & you do get homework & quizzes assigned every weekend & it's all online with unlimited tries (except the quizzes), study guides go hand in hand wexams, so study hard
she really tries to make lectures interesting. she is very clear on how she explains things. always in her office. her study guides are kind of similar to her tests. need a clicker to get participation points. her tests are no that tough as long as you study the power points.
Reads from the powerpoints, and explains in way to much detail. Her exams are a little hard since you basically have to know all of the smallest details! Mastering A&P is a must since there is quizzes and homework on there. Be prepared to study your butt off!!!
Definitely a good teacher. Class is tough with any professor but Gunn really explains material well. I took her for anatomy 1 and 2 and would take her again. Exams are not bad if you study power points and do the online homework and quizzes. What you put in is what you will get out of it. TAKE HER!
Mrs. Gunn was my anatomy teacher for 1301 and I was a little scared at first but after the fist week, I got the hang of it and it was a piece of cake. she provides power points that will help you a lot! but you also need to read the chapters on the book as well. her lectures are funny and do not make it boring. will be re-taking her for 1302.
Professor Gunn is an absolute joy. She keeps things light in class and is always available for you. She has 4-5 tests and an optional final. Mrs. Gunn provides INVALUABLE study guides for each test. Her powerpoints are so good that you don't really need a textbook. Not a tough class if you study with ample time. Got an A in both her anatomy courses
good that she changed her ways.
Anyone can tell you that learning anatomy is tough but Gunn knows how to make you learn the material. This is not an easy A so if you don't wanna do the work, then don't take her class. I never read but the participation points and online hw really save you.
The lecture isn't the part you need to worry about. She great and is there to teach but lab is what will drop your grade. Lab counts for 33% and its no walk in the park. My advice invest min of 2 hours per week studying for lab and lecture should go real smooth.
Mrs. Gunn is all that you want in a lecturer! She's funny, passionate, and helpful. Her study guides are the key to success. (haha, get it? No? Okay.) If you do not understand the material in class, GO TO SI... or go to her office. It's not an easy A, but it's doable and you'll learn! LAB will bite you in the behind if you don't study... so study.
Professor Gunn really knows her anatomy! took her for both A&P 1 and 2, got A's. You have to study, go to class for optional participation points, and do homework. She helps you out a lot if you ask. SI sessions don't always help, go to Gunn during her office hours. 4 exams + 1 optional comprehensive final exam. Totally doable! Anyone can get the A
Ms. Gunn is an incredibly good professor. I will not lie she was very good at explaining and whatever she teaches gets stuck in your head. You are not gonna get an A just by going to the her class though. You NEED to read the book and review her study guides because that might just help you get an A.
If you want to do well in this class DON'T PROCRASTINATE! It isn't a 'hard' class, but there's a lot of material covered. It's going to be nearly impossible to cram all the info in just a couple of days, so you need to study ahead of time. Do the study guides, homework, and practice exams on Pearson. Overall, I thought she was great instructor!
This class literally took over my life. It's so time consuming, especially the lab! I got an A on the lab but that didnt help me get an A in the lecture. The week before class starts, if this class shows up on blackboard, start doing everything that is available! Trust me, it'll save you alot of time during the semester. Good luck! you'll need it
Ms. Bonnie Gunn is the best A&P professor on campus and everyone knows it. She really knows her material and she goes out of her way to help everyone. The class was hard it really was, but it's not the professor's fault. The material is just a lot of complicated stuff. Study a lot and pay attention during lectures! I almost got an A but not quite.
Her lectures are fun! With that being said, her tests are difficult. I went to all of the SI sessions and I studied a lot. Oh yeah her she also has homework, but you can manage to do it all on one day. TL;DR Fun lectures, homework is something you can do on one night. TESTS ARE REALLY HARD!
Mrs. Gunn is very enthusiastic when she lectures, which makes the class more enjoyable. I suggest to print the notes and study guides. Go over the study guide questions and highlight the answers on your notes. Doing the online homework and watching the videos should help too. Getting an A is possible if you make sure to study in advance.
Gunn is a great teacher and I really enjoyed taking her class. You learn a lot and she makes the material fun. The class is pretty easy to get an A as long as you attend class and study a fair amount.
You can just tell when a teacher is very passionate about what they do, Mrs. Gunn is one of those teachers. She's truly knowledgeable in her subject. There are many assignments online, and you truly have to take time to study for the exams and the lab is a lot of work too.
She makes lectures fun. She provides study guide questions for each chapter and the exams are all based on those questions . So i definitely recommend for you to print them out and answer the questions while she is lecturing on the chapter. All of her homework is online and gives more than enough time to get it done.
Extremely difficult. Get ready for the full college experience. Will definitely make you question your major! If you like punishment, but satisfying reward (assuming you study hard), you will enjoy this class. Say goodbye to your social life.
Gunn is in my top 3 professors I have ever taken. Her passion for A&P was clear through her enthusiasm, analogies and jokes, as this makes lectures very fun. However, A&P itself is a tough topic. This WILL require outside studying, so a fair warning. I truly believe she prepares you for any medical related profession. 10/10; would recommend.
One of my favorite professors so far. She is very passionate of what she teaches; which makes her explain things efficiently. One test can be dropped. You need the mastering program and a clicker. Completely doable.
She goes off topic a lot and always mentions her other classes when its irrelevant to whats being discussed. Tests are all based on the notes and her lectures can get pretty boring. -doesnt let you take notes on your laptop and you cant have your phone out
She's really so good at what she does. You do need to show up to class and study hard, but her lectures are never boring.
Professor Gunn is good at her job. She loves interacting with the students and answering questions. She is very accessible and always willing to help you out. Attendance is pretty much mandatory but you are really dumb if you think you can miss A&P and get an A. Study BEFOREHAND and pay attention. If you like A&P you'll love THIS COURSE AND HER!!
Mrs. Gunn is such a great professor. While her class is not easy, an A is definitely possible if you actually study. Her study guides were very helpful. By attending her lectures, you will actually learn so much. Take this class if you want to actually learn. One of the best professors I have ever had.
Anatomy is not an easy subject, you have to S T U D Y. It doesn't matter what prof you take, you need to focus! Mrs. Gunn class was the best. Her homework has unlimited tries, so you can get a 100% Quizzes are on quizlet, you can get a 100% as well. Class is mandatory, if you miss you can get behind. Tests are easy if you study! You actually learn!
Ms. Gunn deserves a 5.0. Remarkable professor. Learned every minute of lecture, and listening was actually fun! You have to work for your grade though -- but I am pretty sure that you are not taking A&P for fun. There is a reason why this course is difficult.
She was okay. The class is super difficult.. she made one exam 7 chapters. Her lectures can be bland at times although she is funny. She also goes too fast sometimes and half of the time you will teach yourself the material. You will need to study a lot..
Mrs. Gunn is a great professor. For the people saying the course was hard: of course it's going to be hard- anatomy isn't easy. If you want the A be ready to study. She drops the lowest exam grade and gives you multiple attempts at hw. Attendance is a grade but also an easy 100. Just study and don't be afraid to ask her go to her office hours.
Mrs. Gunn is a great professor she will explain and make you understand anatomy. She knows her stuff and she doesn't read off the powerpoints. Her exams are based off of the powerpoints. If you study you will pass. Anatomy is hard in general and she made it easy for me.
Difficult class. Just show up to class and make sure you are on top with studying and reviewing for the tests, then you will pass. The Lab counts as 15% of your grade so make sure to show up and do good on the Lab part. She drops 1 out of the 5 test grades you have. There's online homework and quizzes that counts toward the grade as well.
Her lectures are amazing and she really knows how to explain all the topics. We need a clicker for attendance, participation, and tests. We also have online hw, but it helps you. Her tests are very easy compared to what we learn in class. I only studied with the study guide she posts and I got an A. Easy class if youre willing to study.
The class is NOT hard, it's just a lot of material. If you study you should do good, because she makes the tests pretty straightforward. Overall a super good teacher. I love her enthusiasm. She is quite funny.
She's a great professor; I would definitely take her class again.
Mrs. Gunn has to be hands down one of my favorite professors. She really knows her stuff about Anatomy. I took her for both Anatomy 1 and Anatomy 2 and I have to say I enjoyed every bit of it. Even though the class in general might be difficult, Mrs. Gunn has such a fun way to explain everything and she will sure keep you engaged in lectures.
This class is inevitably hard because of the information but Gunn is very good at explaining the material. Make sure you study a lot and understand the information. Getting an A is very doable!
I totally recommend Mrs. Gunn, she is very understanding and her lectures are great. Some are kinda long but she does a good job at explaining the material, The exams are easy if you study well, she gives some extra credit. She is super nice and sweet. homework and quizes are easy and you don't need lockdown browser for them.
Open book quiz every week, video lectures every week, homework modules that you can do till you get 1oo, class not mandatory but make sure you go cuz sometimes she gives extra credit, it may seem like a lot of work but she actually wants you to pass and if you do actually trust her structure you will do really good, take her its worth it (:
Dr. Gunn is cares so deeply for her students. She uploads reviews based on her power points that you must fill out. Everything on the reviews is game for the exams and she emails hints the days prior too. You do have to purchase Mastering ($75) but you will learn if you try. Exams, easy quizzes and participation all count towards your grade.
A very fun and organized online class. There is homework, quizzes at the end of a chapter and unit tests. She is a great professor, passionate, and knowledgeable. Always ask questions if you have any, she explains very well. Read your textbook before anything. Do your study guides (they help). The faster you finish the more time to study! Good Luck
Her study guides are nothing like the exam. She's good at explaining but gets off topic too much about irrelevant stuff not related to topic sometimes. Study guides are sometimes too long to complete that I sometimes had to finish my lectures fast to do the quizzes and study guides. Study guides are 20+ questions & she puts 10-15 some are modified
Mrs. Gunn is my favorite A&P teacher. How can she make such a hard topic so easy to understand & retain? She cares about her students doing well & learning & she engages us during class even though it was asynchronous. Always accessible outside of class to go over exams or any questions you have. Only bad thing, her exams are 80% of your grade :/
I took her last semester & I'm taking her this semester again, her lectures are pretty much 20 minutes or more (less). Her study guides take a lot of time to fill everything, so pretty much study her hints and the powerpoints (study guides based on). She expects you to focus on her class more!!!
Professor Gunn is incredibly passionate about teaching and makes the material easier to comprehend. Her tests are slightly difficult but overall if you study the notes you will pass. Tests count for 80% of overall lecture average.
Mrs. Gunn is a really good professor for anatomy and physiology! If you listen/watch her lectures and take notes, you'll do good. A&P is a hard subject, but Gunn helps explain it well. She gives homework and quizzes and participation grades, which are all easy 100s, so that helps cushion your grade. She also gives extra credit.
BEST professor ever! It is A&P, so obviously, there is a lot to learn, but if you set your routine, do hw, and quizzes, you'll learn for sure! It's crazy to think I felt this was one of the easiest classes this semester (it really was). We haven't received grades yet, but I am sure I did super well! 5 tests (including the final, drops the lowest)
Take her! Her lectures are amazing! She explains everything and it is very detailed about it. She teaches you like elementary/middle school (every detail and doubt and crazy thing) so she answers your crazy questions even before you asked because she does not want to confuse her students! Amazing!
