Awesome teacher...Tests aren't too difficult and he drops your lowest test which is a plus. I thought the material was fairly simple and was taught well.He only teaches sections at night but I would still definitely recommend taking him!

He is a really nice guy. The class as a whole is so easy and I am AWFUL at math. He drops the lowest test grade and gives you extra credit just for doing the homework! Only does night classes I think, but its worth it. Take him!

Great teacher. He might sound boring but if you listen, you will learn. He is a great guy and will be there if you ask for help. Most work is on Pearson. Tests are easy if you pay attention in class. Would definitely take again. Highly Recommended.

He made me not hate math as much as I usually do. Although biostats is not difficult math to do in general he made it easier to understand and apply than other biostats professors do. Would highly recommend you take him. Totally worth having it be a night class. Looked forward to going to every class

easy A even if you have no prior knowledge on stats. the class is really really really boring though. you get a handout every class and go over the new topic and then do practice problems together as a class and then you get an exit slip to work on with a group of 3/4. he is very monotone and class is repetitive. the time goes by so slow

Professor Johnson is one of the best professors I've had for math. He helps you understand Statistics, which is a very tough thing to wrap your head around unless you love math. Definitely loved his group teaching style.

Tests are the only thing you get graded on besides like 5% participation/attendance. I've never had to study for math before but you need to study for this class if you haven't taken a statistics course. Presents the material well. Lots of group work. Usually, you have to complete and exit slip before you can leave.

Johnson was a great professor! I love statistics, and he only made my experience better. You are only graded on tests, but the tests are straightforward, and he gives test points if you do the homework! Monotone voice, but is really funny and kind! Definitely would take again.

Good teacher. Get 5 tests and he drops the lowest. Homework is optional for extra credit toward your tests. No quizzes, just tests. Material isn't to hard. Funny and nice guy! Would recommend!

A REAL DUDE. I am not a math person and was dreading stats, but I ended up doing well because of my boy Boyd. He's not there to fail you, he wants you to get it and to get a good grade. He's really involved with making sure you understand what's going on as he teaches. Highly recommend.

Love his class. Really nice. If you need help he will help you and explain things well. extra credit is given for doing homework. But you do need to understand what you are learning and actually try to do well on his tests

Hands down, one of the best professors at QU. He literally wont move on to new material until every single person knows what their doing. Tests are easy, as long as you pay attention and do your work. Very nice and caring. Boyd is the man.

Boyd is a great teacher, he will help you until you fully understand the content. He does move fast in the lectures but if you keep up its not bad. Very funny guy too.

TAKE BOYD HE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!! He will make 100% sure that you understand the material before a test comes and what you do in class is literally exactly word and word what is on the test. HE IS THE MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN.

Johnson is very good and has high expectations for his students. His lectures are very group based, and he makes sure everybody in the class understands the lesson. He moves quickly, so be prepared for that. Overall is a good guy and good professor.

Johnson is a really good stats professor. He really makes sure everyone understands the material. He goes fast sometimes but if you ask for more explanation on something he'll slow down and not stop until you understand it well. He's super chill and nice to everyone.

Professor Johnson is awesome. At the beginning of the semester, he goes over a basic review that you will need to know to understand the rest of the lessons. I had a horrible MA170 professor and he taught me everything I needed to understand in 1 class! There are multiple tests, but he gives you the formulas. TAKE HIM!!!

Professor Johnson is the most caring and engaging professor I've ever had. He truly wants his students to do well and makes sure you understand before he moves on. His teaching style allows students to participate in their own learning which makes everything easy to understand. Hands down would take him again especially if you're uneasy with stats.

Professor Johnson is a great teacher. He is very clear about what to study for the exams and will not waste your time teaching you stuff that you don't need to know. The only grades in the class are tests, but if you pay attention in class and do the homework, you'll do fine.

Prof. Johnson was a great guy and his lectures were very thorough. He explained everything so well and made sure everyone understood. His exams weren't too hard and there was a bit of homework but you could get extra credit for doing it. Would recommend.

I really enjoyed how Professor Boyd taught his class. Each class you learn a lesson and theres never any homework. The only homework is online through Cengage and its all due before the next exam. The exams are fair and he prepares you well. He is very nice and understanding. Overall great guy.

Professor Johnson is easily one of the best professors at QU. Math is a very hard subject for me, but his lectures were extremely thorough. If you have a question, he will start from the beginning and follow along with you until you understand. Super nice guy, and very easy to approach. Homework was only due before every test, which were easy.

To be honest, I was nervous taking a stats class after I dropped it in high school after a month. However, Johnson provides clear strategies and is determined to make every student understand the material. I learned so much from this course, and so glad I had Johnson as a professor. To think for 19 years of my life I was terrible at math... and for it to be proven wrong the first day I sat in professor Johnsons class IS ASTONISHING. You will realize your true potential in this class and he will make it exciting. You really LEARN and UNDERSTAND. Just pay attention and study well and you're destined for an A.

Johnson is one of the best math professors period. His lectures build upon the older material so when the final comes you don't forget the earlier material. The homework is online and is due before the quizzes, so there is plenty of time to get it done, and you have unlimited attempts at the questions. On the quizzes he gives the formula sheets.

Professor Johnson was amazing. He is very clear and direct with his teaching style and will walk around and give feedback. He gives you half credit on exams if your work is on the right track but was incorrect. He may seem like he doesn't show a lot of emotion but he warms up to you after a while. However, his teaching style is all that matters.

Very personable and respectable guy. Best professor I have had at Quinnipiac so far. I took him last semester, however, after looking at the other courses he teaches I missed out and could not register for them. Take advantage of such a top tier teacher, many are nowhere near his level.

I loved this professor. He comes around and helps every student that needs it and gives good feedback when he checks your class work. He actually wants his students to understand what's going on and do well on the tests. He tries his best to help outside of class as well, but it's usually over Zoom. He also tries to be funny.

Professor Johnson is a very nice person who is willing to work with anyone who needs it. His classes are set up with a lecture and then practicing the material. The material is reinforced several times and the tests are very straightfoward. The workload is rather light and he does review sessions. I would definitely recommend taking him.

I LOVE PROF JOHNSON! I am bad at math, but he was great. Made statistics easier, worksheets helped so much, he did whatever he can to make sure students passed his class. I had him from 7:55PM-9:10PM Mon/Wed and he made it worth it for such a late class

Best math professor I've ever had. I've always struggled with math and the way he teaches makes me feel like a true genius. He really makes it his priority that all students understand the material fully. I had him for the late class but he made the time enjoyable. Highly recommend!!!!!

Amazing teacher and as someone who has always had difficulty with math, his lectures are so well done and comprehensive. He makes the class enjoyable and tries to help every student get a good grade in his class. Would HIGHLY recommend taking him.

Honestly I was fighting so hard to get a in-person MA275 class but I had to take an online class with Professor Johnson which I'm so glad I did. He can be a bit vague in his recordings but gives great feedback over email and answers very fast. If you're really good at math and want to get it all done in 7 weeks, highly recommend to take his class.

I really enjoyed taking biostats with Johnson. He was very helpful, very understanding, and very funny. I thought that he made the class super easy and honestly it just made going to class so much easier. I never took stats before, but some people struggled in the course, but if you pay attention and actively work for a good grade, you'll be fine.

Johnson is my favorite professor, he makes the class easy to follow, and somewhat interesting, and they go by quickly. He gives out extra credit and you can leave many times once you finish your work. He was great, if he is available take him.

7 wks summer course, weekly lecture videos, discussion boards, homework, & tests/exams. Professor is super professional & supportive, provide detailed lessons, easily reached by email, and responses in a timely manner. He is a highly recommended instructor for math especially, statistics. Do your homework, it will prepare you for the tests.

Professor Johnson makes stats interesting. Make detailed notes from his weekly lesson videos & homework, & get a TI-83 plus/TI-84 scientific calculator which helps reduce time to calculate problems during tests. Also, make notes of his calculator instructions from each module lessons. Email him if you have any difficulties.

Prof Johnson is the best math professor ever. He takes the lessons at a pace you can actually understand and makes sure you do not fall behind in the lectures. Theres homework for each lesson but he wants to make sure that you actually know the material and it usually does not take long. He posts everything on blackboard and is super understanding.

Professor Johnson was great! I struggle with math a lot, and he was always willing to answer any type of question, yet also push you to figure out the answer for yourself. At the moment, it would frustrate me when he encouraged me to figure it out by myself, but when I started to get it, he would say that he knew we could do it. Take his classes!

I am terrible at math and I was able to pass his class with an A. He helps us figure out the answers while also teaching it to us and he is very accessible outside of class. He will answer any questions you may have. If you show up and pay attention you will be successful. Would take again, definitely would take again.

Love Boyd. Great guy and an even better professor. I've always been terrible at math, but I got an A in the class and a 92 on the final thanks to his teaching. His way of explaining things just clicks and makes it so easy to follow. He's super chill and loves to chat with students. He also went to QU and is in the QU Basketball Hall of Fame.

This class was easy and very manageable It was fully online and async with 7 exams total, one per week and two homework assignments each week that were quick to complete. I definitely recommend taking it online and getting it out of the way. I've heard the in-person version is way more stressful with the other professors!

Boyd is the best he walks around the classroom to make sure everyone is understanding what is happening and it is not scary to ask questions in class either, he is very laidback and on tests he gives partial credit. Just study the material given and you will do fine.

Prof Johnson is a good professor. HW is very easy and isn't overwhelming. He is very generous with partial credit on tests. He is always available after class for questions. Sometimes he can go a little quick, but is otherwise pretty good.
