In the beginning she kind of scared me with her strong accent, but she came to be one of the nicest teachers i ever had. She helped me as much as possible even during tests. She goes step by step during every lesson and makes sure we understand it well.

The class is fair. She gives extra credit to boost your grade up. Sometimes her lectures are confusing so I recommend getting tutoring. Her quizzes are fairly easy but tests can be a bit unfair.

I took her at Pierce. She hated me. I hated her. I hated her pants. We fought in class. Everyone got scared of me. That was cool. I failed. But not really. I owe her many hugs. She is very nice. Just listen and do your homework. Yes.

Tough class! This professor knows her subject, and is pretty good at presenting material in a way that makes sense. However, math is hard for a lot of people and you may still have a tough time. She is less patient in a class setting since she is somewhat deaf, but talk to her one-on-one, and she will help you however she can.

She is a very sweet teacher. The accent was hard to understand the first week, but you get use to it. The class is a hard subject, but she gives extra credit to help those who need it out. Her tests prepare you for the final. She doesnt give very much homework and she gives lots of helpful handouts. Take her if you can!

Lovely lady. Class is very difficult and includes a computer component. Fair grader. Study, study, study is her message. Class goes very fast. I needed a tutor. She was always available for outside help, when asked. You have to be a math whiz to get a good grade here.

She is the most sweetest lady ever. I got a C in her class and its the first time I took it. This is a very difficult class but she gives you a lot of help and extrs credit. All you have to do is show up tp class and try your best. She's the best you can it for this class.

the nicest teacher i have ever had she is always smiling ang happy. Her teaching is a little wierd shes really fast. But she tries a lot to help students out and she understands that its a hard class. Plus she wants all her students to pass. You take 2 tests and a final. there are also quizzes but they are open note.

Very Funny, Very laid back. Although you need to ask questions when you have them and she listens to opinions you have and tries to help. You gotta to love her

She is the BEST!! Explains all the problems with such an ease that only a true idiot can't get it. She helps everybody, and has patience beyond belief, repeats stuff as long as she is certain that everybody understands. If I fail I will take the class again only with her. GREAT TEACHER!

Ok its a Stats class. Already you know you're not going to have a good time. But this professor at least makes the class fun. She is from Poland and has a thick Polish accent but has a GREAT sense of humor and makes the class worth showing up everyday. She grades tests and homework on the tough side, but she also provides lots of extra credit.

Great lady. Just attend class, be polite, and do the homework..not unusual for a college class. I probably deserved a D and she gave me a C (probably because I never missed a class) So try youre best and youll do ok.

She is a very tough grader, but she does teach the subject very well. You definitely have to put in the time to pass this class, keep up with the homework, show up to class and you should pass

She has a wonderful sense of humor and a great attitude! Unfortuntaley, the material is hard as it is, and her teaching method isnt always that clear. From what I know, she rushes through things, partle because she assumes you know the smaller steps and also because there are a lot of deadlines based on the Math Dept.

she's byfar my favorite teacher in my whole education career. even though she has a strong european accent, she is very interesting and very helpful. 4tests and 4hw packets, which are due on test dates. a lot of extra credit and will grade on a curve. work is easy, got an A. i would take her for my other math courses, but she doesnt teach them. :(

Please don?t read all the crazy remarks about this teacher. She is actually very nice, caring and helpful teacher. The subject itself is not easy.You must do all the homework what she assigns; it will help you greatly on the tests. Pay attention in class, do the homework and all the extra credit and you will do good.

I got a wrong idea about her, I got to know her and she was REALLY helpful. Show up everyday and catch up. she explain everything on board and take notes. she gives extra credit and review for text. The more you show up and show effort like ask for help again and again. she gives good grade which I did was unexpect :) thanks to her!

SHe is as funny as Romanians get. The class was extremely difficult. But... The final was extremely easy. Anyways.. She's funny that's all.

Love her! I took her class for Winter Session (it was only 2 1/2 weeks) & I must say, the class was very intense, but still doable. Onzol is a great teacher & is willing to help her students out! She is also very funny & tries to lighten up the mood with her humor. She teaches well & you understand her teaching methods.

She answered all questions easyYou need book in her class all homework and class work from the book. She is funny She do not care about attendance its your problem you in class or not but you need to be prepared for the test so better to be in class unless you genius.there are quizzes at the beginning of the class which give you points

Love her! She is very helpful and very enjoyable to have as a professor. She is very helpful. Her Polish accent is not a problem at all! Most of the work is in the textbook and online. Missing a day in this class is like missing a week. Attendance is very important. Currently taking this class. Will post with more info later.

Her accent isnt that bad shes understandable. She doesnt always take attendance but does every now and then and might give some extra credit points to those there if you dont attend youll miss a lot. Shes fair with hw and tests are very similar to the hw and review sheets. She knows her stuff well and will always help and answer questions

I just took her over the summer session and she is amazing!!!She is so clear and explains everything step by step. Very helpful and understanding! Just do the homework and come to class because she does offer extra credit points for in class work. She provides study guides which are very similiar to the exams.

Prof Onzol is a weird one. Some time she get mad and sometimes she gets very happy so every day you will see a different mood on her. Some of her tests are hard and some are in middle. She always helps with extra credits, and very helpful for students she sees them every class. I donot recommed her if you dont have paitience.

We are only human, negative comments do a disservice to the kind of person people truly are. Besides her drawbacks, she truly wants all her students to do well, and put her reputation on the line for it. A hard trait to find in todays academic culture. If you seriously find her classes hard, they are not, then blame yourself for trying hard enough.

Amazing class. Not mandatory to go to class but you should go if you wanna pass. She's helpful, gives us extra credit sometimes, and if we need more time to study, she'll move the test! Great lady, very sweet!

She is a force that ignites passion in a student and has a great sense of humor. Math can be hard, there is only so much a teacher can do. She has EXCELLENT study guides and packets to assist your learning. A classmate of mine and I went back to her next semester for her calc II lecture notes and I was so happy he gave me a copy.

Super great person and easy teacher. Loved her and the class. But she has a heavy accent. Some students don't seem to understand basic math (such as decimals) and would complain a lot about her and wouldn't let her try to help them just being stuck on she's a bad teacher because she doesn't go over basics people learn in 4th grade.

Best Math professor I have had so far at CSUN. Very nice person, always made me laugh. She is a tough grader on exams and will sometimes throw some very difficult problems on them. Offers a lot of extra credit to make up for bad test scores. 4 midterms equally weighted plus HW and final.

Excellent professor. She has a good sense of humor and is very caring about her students. Tests are straightforward if you know what you are doing. She takes problems straight from HW for tests. Offers lots of extra credit, especially if you never miss a class. Most importantly, she explains concepts very well. Made the subject seem interesting.

Great Professor. She knows what she is doing. Tons of Extra Credit to make up for bad test scores. Do yourself a favor and SIT IN THE FRONT OF THE CLASS! She will recognize you more than others and you she will help you out. Do the Homework on time, study maybe 30 minutes a night, and ATTEND EVERY CLASS, and you will exit with an easy A.

Wonderful professor I took her class last semester for Math150A she is very helpful. If you don't go to class it won't effect your grade unless if you want the extra credit. Also, if you don't attend her class read the book or go to her office hours in able to understand the material; she will recognize you more. Study HARD for the finals!!

Professor Onzol is a really caring person. The tests were tough but she made sure that you would pass as long as she saw that you put the effort in. If you attended class everyday and asked her questions, she would recognize you. If you put in the effort, so did she.

She really cares so much about us and pushes us to work more. I find her motivating and helpful. I love her and I wish she was my math instructor for all my math classes.

Truly cares about her students and pushes us to earn the best grade possible. The lectures can be pretty stale at times since she goes at a relatively slow pace and she does take ages to grade and pass back homework & tests. Otherwise, as long as you do thr homework and study a decent amount, youll pass with a good grade. SHOW UP TO CLASS.

Really caring but most of all makes sure you have all materials for the class printed always! i would relate this class to a high school class because she's always after her students. as for her teaching she makes it very possible to pass but you must attend class print materials and do problems with her in class . she makes you work for it.

Prof. Onzol is a good teacher and she constantly reminds you to seek help. Her lectures are clear but go to tutoring or office hours as well. She only gives random extra credit opportunities (not guaranteed). She gives out 4 tests, plus the final. One test can be switched if your final grade is better.

If youre here and try then you really have no reason to fail, she goes over everything thoroughly. You 100% need a calculator and you NEED to print out your workbook. Textbook isnt 100% necessary but the online homework obviously is required to be purchased.

Very funny woman and super nice. She does mumble a bit and have an accent, so sit in the front of the class. Her homework is online, textbook online, workbook you print, and you get to use a formula sheet during the quiz/test. All her quiz/test problems are on the workbook with different numbers, just understand what you're doing.

Very kind and caring Professor, really wants her students to pass. The subject is not easy, but she does everything in her power to make the tests reasonable.

One of my favorite professors. Her lectures were very interesting. Everyone in the class was paying attention to her. She always kept the class busy with problems and constructions. I wasn't bored in class. The tests were exactly from her lectures and homework assignments. She went over every hw assignment before we turned it in. Tests were fair.

One of the best math professors out there that I had. She provides great explanations and will always answer your questions if you have any. 4 exams + 1 final. If you're there and ask questions, and study the sample exams, you'll have a guaranteed A. She wants everyone to pass her class, and she'll do it by helping you out as much as she can.

If you sit in the front and pay attention, she will like you and work in your favor. She truly cared about her students and always offered help She is a great math professor, her tests are hard, and be prepared to study but she will give you many opportunities to make it up People that say that she is mean or not a good prof didn't work hard enough

Great professor! She definitely deserves more credit than she's receiving. She was very patient when student's didn't understand the content being taught and she would always go out of her way to ensure that all of her students understand the lecture. Make sure you go to all of the classes and you'll be set. She also gives lots of extra credit!

Professor Onzol is interactive with her students and really wants everyone to pass. She is very knowledgable. She tells great stories that relate to what she's teaching. I would definitely recommend making yourself known because she does take that into account when deciding your grade, so maybe stay after class to ask a question.

Her accent was very heavy so beware of that but overall she was very kind and cared about you and what you had to offer. Be sure to show up to class and print out the worksheets.

She may not be the best instructor and you may get stressed at times, but she cares about you a lot. She will try anything in her power to make you pass, the class is only hw a final and 4 exams, she will do anything in her power to have you pass them and pass the class. I would recommend you take this class if you want to have a caring professor.

She is super caring towards her students and motivates them. Her lectures were pretty good. She occasionally gives extra credit problems in the middle of class. At the end of the semester she curves the class grades. 4 tests + final exam. Homework is credit/no credit. Her class is not weighted in grades, it's based on points.

Prof is kinda all over the place. she's extremely understanding (accepts all late work) and was constantly asking us what we needed more of or what she could change, but the criteria for testing changed for each exam. one minute we're getting a cheat sheet, the next shes practically handing out answers, the next we're on our own. sorta easy A?

This is probably one of the best math teacher i have ever taken, she is very passionate about teaching and want the best for student, she gives opportunity for extra credit after exams, just make sure to be always present in class.
