Awesome professor. Very nice, very understanding, very helpful. All exams are ridiculously easy. You will have no problem getting an A if you do the homework and get it in on time.

Prof Brege is an incredibly nice man. He explains everything thoroughly, gives help to whoever needs it, and is overall an outstanding teacher. His exams are fair and he'll work with you on the homework. If you're looking for a prof who will help and respect you, take this guy!

Professor Brege is great! Very helpful and knows his stuff. I'm a techie but had to take the class and I ended up really enjoying it. Workload is very fair and he offers a lot of extra credit. Tests were easy for me.

Professor Bard Brege is so far my FAVORITE professor here at GVSU!! He will do anything to help you! He ALWAYS gives out second chances to take his exams if you missed it. He's always AVIABLE when you need him. He gives out ALOT of EXTRA CREDIT! TAKE HIM, it'll help your grade IMPROVE :)

This is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had. He explains things perfectly, is understanding of extenuating circumstances, and is willing to help you outside of class if you need it. He's also really entertaining during class-he has really dry humor and cracks a bunch of techie jokes. Definitely recommend taking him.

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL PROF One of the best I have ever had. I am horrible at computers, he was incredibly helpful and did whatever he could to make sure everyone understood it. I would take a class with him again hands down.

Prof Brege was one of my favorite profs at GV. He gives a lot of extra credit, the class is easy is a good guy and pretty funny. He is very knowledgeable and will do watever he can to help his students, it is a rare thing among profs but i dont think there is nething bad about prof brege, i highly recommend prof brege for CS 150

By far the best teacher I've had yet. Not only is he intelligent, he takes the time to learn about his students. I had him three semesters ago and he still remembers my name. I've learned so much in this class. It does require work, but it is relatively easy. Take a many extra credit points as possible!!!

I loved Professor Brege. He gets to know his students and knew who I was and how I did on my quiz when I went to get some help. Very helpful if you have a question and makes sure you understand. Take this professor you will be very happy that you did. I would take him again if I can!!!!!!!

Great professor. He knows what he's talking about. He gives lots of extra credit quizzes and grades very fairly. Attendance is not mandatory, but his lectures are entertaining.

This guy does his best to keep class interesting. Be prepared for his many puns. He definitely knows what he is talking about. If you know anything about computers,this class is an easy A. If not, it's still pretty self-explanatory. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and his exams were pretty easy. If you're taking CS150 take it with HIM!

Nicest CS 150 professor you could ask for! Lectures are really boring but he doesn't take attendance. I was dreading this class because I hate computers but he made it really easy and I actually learned a lot. Lots of extra credit!!

Amazing teacher! Nice, helpful, quirky, and makes it very pleasurable to be in class. I loved his teaching methods and he really helped me to understand what was going on in class. Meet with him, go to his office, email him! He loves that and is readily available to help you. Loved him, wish I could take him again. Truly a gift to Grand Valley!

just a lot of busy work. If you do everything your guaranteed a B, if you somewhat put an effort forward, you'll get an A. Office hours are pointless because you can go their with one question and not get it awnsered for an hour because he helps other students so much.

EXTREMELY helpful professor and will go out of his way to help you with assignments during his office hours or in class. He will help you outside of class with any computer problems you have. Super nice guy, take him!

Nicest professor ever! Extremely corny jokes, always in a good mood, will help you with anything literally any tme of the day (even personal computer problems). Course material can be pretty boring, but this professor makes it a lot better.

Professor Brege was very helpful in class and in lab. If the class was having trouble with an assignment or project, he was willing to help us any way he could. He did curve some exams, especially when the entire class did bad on them. He made the material very easy to understand, and he's a great professor. Take his class if you need CIS 150.

Prof Brege is awesome. Lectures are pretty interesting because he usually gets off topic. He is very helpful with the lab stuff, and let me retake certain lab assignments when the program wouldn't work. Interesting class, take it with Brege if possible

He is a great guy. He is very willing to help you with anything you need. The only thing that annoys me is how off topic he gets in lecture. It makes it really hard for me to want to go to lecture. Just do all of the assignments and you will pass. I ended up with an A.

Professor Brege is an excellent man. He cares about his students and will always make sure you know what to lean. Take him over any other professors. He allowed book on final exam and a lot of it is common sense. His lectures aren't mandatory but he sometimes gives extra credit if you go although they are SUPER boring. Great professor overall.

Great teacher! Their is a lot of work for the class but if you like it its not that bad. Berge is understanding, involved, and over all a awesome teacher. The class is really worth taking if you are going into business or just want a educational class.

I just recently started taking his CIS 150 class, and he is a great professor. There is a lot of textbook work, but it's a computer class so it can be expected in general. He's extremely helpful and makes the class very interesting. I definitely recommend taking him!

Professor Brege is one of the nicest people I will ever encounter. Although lectures are very boring, he shows tons of current events which are quite interesting. He is willing to help with any of your personal computer problems and is very helpful on homework assignments. He cares so much about all of his students. You can't go wrong taking him.

This class is an easy A, you don't have to go to lectures just make sure you show up on lab day. As long as you do all the online assignments which are so easy. All of his tests were open book and the webpage project is so easy, he is so helpful. he gave me 10 pts extra credit so I could get an A instead of an A-. Loved this prof!

Brad is amazing! He has helped me in this class very much. He gives extra office hours, and extends due dates if you need it. He is very understanding. If you want to take a class involving CIS, take it with Brad Brege.

Easy class but the weekly assignments online in programs like Excel or Access are long and boring. But it is probably the same w all the CIS teachers so I am glad I took it with Brege because he is real polite guy and willing to help. Good w responding to emails. The professor is great. He is my favorite at GVSU so far. He gives the easiest extra credits ever and if you have any probelms with the class he is more than willing to help outside the class. Take this class! Very easy A.

Very polite and easy to reach guy. You could always go to his office hours to get some extra help and tips like in excel and access. For some reason, he enjoys helping people with general computer issues like installing malware protections on students' computers

I loved Professor Brege! A majority of the classes are straight lecture from powerpoint which he does upload to blackboard. He gets easily distracted and shows a lot of different news type things in class but that are somewhat relative to the class. The exams, quizzes, and assignments are all straight forward and he will always help!

Professor Brege is the best Prof I have ever had! He is super nice and there to help you even if it has nothing to do with class. There are a lot of assignments but they come straight from the book and are the same for all CIS 150 classes regardless of the prof. If you do them it shouldn't be hard to get an A or at least a B.

Since I have experience working with Microsoft office this class was pretty easy for me but I enjoyed coming to class because Prof Brege was very nice, funny, he had interesting lectures, he was always there to help you in office hours or find a time that works for you. He liked updating us on what's new in the tech world which was interesting too.

His lectures are very entertaining and relevant. He keeps you updated on interesting news regarding technology. He genuinely cares about how his students do in class, and is willing to find extra time to assist with any concerns. He has multiple extra credit opportunities, some of them are worth 5 points for simply showing up to class. He's great!

Professor Brege is a great guy and makes class interesting. He is very funny and engages in class discussion and makes students aware of real world issues with computing. There is a bit of homework that is done on the computer but it is very doable and teaches you important info. Brege offers lots of extra credit too! TAKE HIM!

This guy is hilariously funny. CIS is a boring class for any non-CIS majors and he knows that so he does the best he can to make it fun. It's very clear what is expected from you, and he is just a great guy to be around. He really cares.

Brege made this class stress-free! You do have to do several assignments with microsoft, some quizzes, and design a webpage for his class but all of these tasks were completely doable! Brege makes his quizzes open book and is willing to help with assignments and the webpage. Exams aren't bad. Overall, don't be disrespectful and you'll be fine.

CIS with Brege is an easy fun class. He provides a super lot of extra credit. As long as you do the assignments you'll be fine! Talk to him if you have problems or need help, he's super flexible and willing to help you!

Super easy A. Homework is loads, and unnecessary, but easy A. Professor was extremely easy and offered at least 40-50 points of extra credit. Lecture was completely pointless. If you can take this class online at a community college, then save your money and do that. Easiest A ever, but I don't think it was worth the time.

Brad is a great person, he is super caring! The class is quite boring, but I think that is just the nature of the class. He wants his students to pass and is very helpful and encourages office hours. Take him for an A :)

Take Brad for CIS 150! There are weekly Microsoft assignments, 3 online exams, and a final. He is super caring and will work with you on any issues that come up. He had like 7 different sections this semester for CIS (which is probably why ppl are saying his grading was slow). Make sure you pay attention to due dates and you'll be fine!

CIS 150 with Brege is basically "do all the tedious homework and you'll pass" 150. You don't even need to show up. Weekly homework that actually took 3-4 hours to complete. Web page project that you will present (I never showed up to present it). A midterm and final based off lectures (slides get posted; noncumulative). All exams are in lab. Boring

Berge is a really solid prof. I barely attended his class and passed with an A. Most of the homework was super easy too and could be done from home. He is really a nice guy if you get to know him, a little strange though. He made our midterm and final open book which was super nice too. If you have a chance I would say take it with him.

Professor Brege is a solid guy! He's really nice and is always eager to help his students as the programs used and taught can be frustrating for new users. He's very flexible with due dates and will always open submissions for you so you can try again for a higher grade. Tests are open book too which is great because you cover a lot of content.

A really boring class to show up for. You can skip almost every single one and you will pass. He is a great guy, it just is him reading word for word from the slides. He knows how to help on all of the assignments. He offers a 20 point EC assignment on a random day. Only reason it is important to show up.

Brege is a super nice guy, but class lectures usually didnt have anything to do with anything. I barely ever went to class and I got a 98%. All quizzes and exams are open book, Id for sure recommend him for this class.

Best prof to take this class with. He may not be able to help too much with the online simulations required, but they're self explanatory and in the cases that they are not, google can help. He's super funny and curves very difficult assignments/tests.

Brege was a very understanding professor who cares more about his students than the actual subject. The software was not perfect, but this was not his fault and he made sure to be very reasonable. If your project was graded wrong all you had to do is talk to him and he would give you a good grade if everything seemed right. Very good guy.

Easiest class ever. Brad is a really nice person and really wants to help his students. I liked Brad, but the lectures were a bit unbearable because he repeats things a lot. The first 4 days of my MWF class we literally only talked about the syllabus, so I just completely stopped going to class unless it was a test day.

I really liked this professor! He really cares about his students and how well their doing in his class. He really works with us on how to figure out the MyLab assignments and is very lenient with the grading. The best professor for this class by far!

Although this class is for the most part very simple, Professor Brege always is very caring about his students and very flexible with any issues you may have, sometimes he does stray off topic in our online meeting sessions, but he is a very generous helpful teacher. If you're required to take this class, I would reccommend him.
