Great class, Mr. Carothers is an exceptional teacher!

He is pretty much the only teacher who has everything. The look, the clarity and the heart to help his students. In addition, it is nice to look at him during his lectures.

OH.. MY.. he is one HOT COOKIE! =).. he explains everything thoroughly and is open to help out any student if they're having trouble.. his tests may be a little hard if you don't study.. but overall.. he's an extremely GREAT teacher =)

Very organized (has outline on the board at the beginning of class-and tells u what he will test u on, on the 1st day of class), very easy to understand. To go well in the class just have a general idea of what he talks about

he's quite the looker! it's a pretty easy class to ace - all u gotta do is pay attention - altho - it's kinda hard to pay attention when you've got such a distraction in front of u - if u know what i mean. =P hahah.

Unless you're into Alec Baldwin types, he isn't all that hot/sexy as he's been advertised here. Overall, this class is very easy A! No textbooks, no exams. Just write about six or so papers, do a group project and show up to all meetings --thats all folks

His lectures are excellent. Not a single exam. A very easy group project that you choose. There is about seven papers, but there is no formality, write however your write NO BLIBLIOGRAPHYS OR CITED LISTS to worry about. You don't even double space.

Great professor for summer class. Very organized. Wants to help. Have a friend at UCLA, and one at Stanford, we compaired notes and Mr. C blows those professors a-way. I am taking all my psych. courses at Evergreen.

Very EASY teacher! Test are based on notes, essay form. He tells you the test questions before each midterm. You are allowed to pre-write them and have him pre-read it.

this is easy teacher, you just need to do all papers and come to class everyday, so u can get A. on the test, he gives u all questions about tests at the first day of semester. whatever he says in class will be on the test, so take a good note

I got Mr. Carothers this year (2004) n he is really good. When he lectures, he is sure 2 answer everything u need for your essays. He has a written out schedule through the semester so u can know what days are important. I highly recommend him!

i am just finishing his psych class this week. theres a lot of work for the portfolio, but his class is so awesome. he's a great teacher and his lectures are so intriguing. he repeats the concepts a lot until they are clear to you. he's a great teacher.

If u take this class there is a lot of work but he teaches very good. Dere was no final or quizes instead you turn in a lot of essays. He grades easy so just write a lot. His lectures are very good n answers all questions that are needed 4 ur essay. One of the best teachers at Evergreen!

he's a hottie! there are 2 quizzes n labs. b there evryday 2 take notes n 2 sometimes get participation pts 4 doing group wrk. lectures r clear n he tells u how he wants the essays 2 b. dont lag on doing the essays and teRms! the essays, terms, outside research, 1 paper is ur hw! pretty cool class!

show him your work early during office hours. that will get you an A. be on time when assg. are due.

Mr. Carothers is a very excellent teacher. He is willing to help students to succeed. He is my favorite teacher at EVC. He grades easy too because he gives you extra credit. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANY STUDENTS. I will come back EVC and take more classes with him when I have a chance!

My friends told me to take Mr. Carothers because he is a great teacher. I tried to reg but it was already full. I went today and tried to add. (Oh-my-god, he is so good looking!!!) He's an amazing teacher. He really wants all his students to do well and will do anything to help you. If you get your work done early you are pretty much guarenteed an A in the class. His lectures are interesting, and even if you don't like psych, he's hot to look at.

this guy was awesome. as long as you did your work early and had him check it for you, it was easy to get an A. he made psychology very interesting for a person who didn't think too much of it. but try not to mention biscuits and white gravy.

Hands down a great teacher! Gives a lot of extra credit. You have to do much writing but it's pretty easy because it's all based on his lectures and he stops to say the key topics and tells you what exactly to write and when do write about it. The guy absolutely knows how to teach and takes great pride in what he does.

he's a blunt person he has no exception for ANYONE! textbooks are usually not required in his class. if you're a psych major you should take him for intro to research PSYCH 18 he'll prep you for grad school.

Carothers is one of the best Psych teachers I've had. I practically took all the classes offered with him. I learned so much from him and I enjoyed taking his classes. Lectures were always interesting and tests were pretty easy, as long as you studied.

He is an clear and to the point teacher. He tells you what he wants on his work. You take good notes from his lectures you will ace this class. There is no Finals. A couple of quizzes. And he gives extra credit. Lectures are very interesting and helpful.

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies, please--calm the hormones down. There is far more to Mr. Carothers than his exterior charm. His lectures are captivating. He has the ability to light the fire of psychology in everyone. Take another instructor for the credits, take Carothers to learn and be sucked into the world of sykologee.

Its close to the end of the semester and i can honestly say there was not a day that i didnt enjoy Mr. Carothers class. His lectures are clear and interesting, his assignments are fare, and he is always willing to stay after to answer questions. Great teacher and I highley recommend him.

Lectures are very interesting, doesn't give you homework but assigns 6 essays, 3 exams, and a group presentation.

Anais Nin once said "The possession of knowledge does not kill the sense of wonder and mystery. There is always more mystery." Mr. Carothers lectures always leave one guessing and wondering what the following class meeting will hold. There are still a few teachers that teach from the heart and with passion, he is, without a doubt, one of them.

I really enjoyed his human sexuality class. Very helpful and his quizzes are pretty easy, as long as you read the chapters. His final is just a group presentation which was really fun. I really recommend him to anyone who wants to take a psych class and yes, he's hot and I thought his voice was sexy~!!

Mr. C is one of the best, if not, the best teachers i've ever had! He has a p.h.d, incredibly smart and freakin cute! His class is so interesting and fun and the time just flies by. I love his lectures, he's so funny. DEFINEITLY TAKE HIM IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT IT!!!

This guy is great has a lot to offer and is very interesting. Scale of grading is fair as long as you do the work and study. Papers were easy as long as you have no problem with writing about yourself.

Brad is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is clear, professional, nice, knowledgeable and an expert in his field. He makes class extremely interesting and gives crystal clear lectures. I would photocopy the pages of the book instead of buying it. The presentations in the end are usually funny. Please take him.

Carothers is very engaging. His lectures are easily understood. I really liked how he made the class very attentive to his lectures because it got us interested and well known about all the topics he talked about. all we did was group work and i got a B. pretty good teacher. take him. i HIGHLY recommend.

I don't know how he does it, but his enthusiasm is sky-high. The class isn't easy, but it's very fair. There are plenty of chances for extra credit and he is more than willing to help you on the way. The textbook isn't used at all during the classroom, but is absolutely ESSENTIAL for the quizzes. And yes, he's attractive. :] Totally recommend him!

Easiest class ever! He offers u extra credit beginning of the semester, offers u extra credit everytime before an exam, exams are based on the book, you can use a cheat sheet. What else do you need? Oh yes, that all papers are due in the last month of the semester. This class was heaven and sooo easy! His lectures are very interesting and fun.

His lectures are awesome! You do need to memorize his lectures and slides for the EC challenges before the exam. The exams are hard but they all pertain to the book so study the questions at the end of the chapters/study guide. This class will have you studying but it's fun! I would say it is pretty hard to fail the class.he is really hot too so it was nice looking at him during lectures! The only problem I had was that so many people take his class that he doesn't really know any of his students.

Lectures are very fun and interesting. I took it during summer so it was easy. He gives lots of extra credits. You have to read in order to do good on the test. Theres not too much to read at a time. It would definately be a class you would want to attend. I still remember most of the stuff i learned. and he's pretty good looking.

VERY interesting lectures. A lot of what he teaches is applicable to life and can potentially change the way you think. You can use notes on midterms (4 exams in total), and even if you don't do well on them, he gives a ton of extra credit. There's also group work and 2 essays, but he lets you know the topics ahead so you know what to do. Take him!

He is a wonderful instructor and WANTS his students to succeed in his class. His pulls you in with his lectures & passion for psychology but the class isn't easy. The exams are based mostly on the textbook and he assigns a couple of lengthy essays but he lets you turn them in early & returns them with his marks so you can re-do them.

very good teacher...you get the assignments for the whole semester and projects to...i didn't even touch the book just listen in class very well.. some test questions come from book others are common sense,,very good listener..

I had him for human sexuality, research, and another psych class i can't remember, almost 10 years ago. He kept my interest in this subject that I continued on to major in psych and now almost graduating from grad school studying clinical psych. I even remember his comments on my essays that really encouraged me and still remember. Thank you!

Talk about eye candy! OMG not only is he hot but the class is really fun.We did alot of little papers but they were fairly easy to research overalle great teacher, you try you hardest and you will get the grade you deserve.Oh and he has really fun review games so that your always prepaied for the test.

Don't take his classes online. He may be a great professor in the actual classroom, but basically all we had to do in HS was work, work, and more work, without learning anything new. I had to write as many essays in his class as in ALL of my English classes combined. To reiterate my point, I would not recommend any of his online classes.

you must take him! I never missed a single class because his lectures are so interesting. Got a D in the beginning bcus I didn't have a book to study for the test with, but raised it to a B in two weeks! Don't come late or he'll embarrass you & tell you to sit in the back. He is extremely easyyyyy. I dropped out 2 weeks before final and missed final and still got a C surprisingly lol. His quizzes were in the computer room. You can sooo cheat your way by popping up your online quizzes in another window lol....bad i know but it works for lazy ppl like me back then. =)

Took this teacher for General Psych. and Sexuality. He is a great professor that keeps the class interesting. Test and quizzes based on lectures and BOOK. The book is a must! Attendance is also important. But who wouldn't want to go look at this attractive professor :)

His class is very interesting, you do not have to take a lot of notes, you just pretty much take notes on just the topic you will use for your portfolio essay, on certain days he does give a type of extra credit for attending lectures.He also allows you to use a full two pages of notes for every exam.Highly Recommend=)

Very helpful teacher. Allows you to turn in your papers and portfolio in early for feedback and will tell you if you will get an A on the paper if you turn it in. There are a few group projects, so make sure when you make your group you find someone who wont leave you stuck with all of the work (he also allows people to change groups to fix this).

Highly recommended! Syllabus states all upcoming assignments along with directions. Lecture reflects group "challenge" (basically a jeopardy) MAJOR extra credit to take advantage of! Exams are practically from text. Make sure your group doesn't suck... seriously, that's the only thing I regret or I would have gotten an A!

Loved this class, it was very fun! Carothers lectures were always very interesting he is a really good teacher! Make sure you turn in your work early so he can review it. He is good about making sure you know where you stand in the class. I would suggest getting as much extra credit as you can, he offers alot of it!

I would not recommend his online class as he is very anal about certain things. You cannot email him for help unless it's formatted the way he wants. Quizzes & tests are easy but a lot of writing required.

Very visual and hands on with his lectures. BUT you MUST have the book and study from it thouroughly if you even want to think of passing his tests...There is ALOT of extra credit though. and he is a very good person.

I took Carothers years ago, he is a great teacher. Very clear and helpful. I put easiness in the middle because he is easy if you put effort, but if you dont you probably will get a bad great. the LADIES say he isn't bad to look at lol. Highly recommended either way. He is not "HARD" by all means, just do work and youll get a good grade.

You will need the textbook in this class. He lets you use 4-single side notes on every exam, typed really tiny, or hand written. The study guide is a good reference but there is also more Qs not on the study guide in the exam. Don't be afraid to ask him questions, he's really nice.

Prof.C is very chill. Every time we have class he has some sort of interesting demonstration of psychology, from showing us a video that simulates a LSD trip to scaring us to show us how our limbic system operates. I wish I was more passionate about psychology to major in it just to attend his classes again. Excellent professor.

Great presentations, good body language, engaging class. Plays jeopardy (extra credit) before tests to prepare you. Easy to get an "A" as long as you try. 4 tests, 2 (8 pages each) papers, many extra-credit opportunities, debates (select a good group or u r screwed but u can carry ur group.)

He is a very cool teacher that makes the lecture interesting and fun. If you ask Mr.Carothers something he is very nice about it and will try to help you much as he can. The class itself was easy to pass and you actually learn something!!!

Doesn't take attendance, but does give out 5 pts. during lecture days. Plenty of extra credit. A few group projects. Class lecture has nothing to do with the tests. You would need to rentbuy a textbook to study for test. Easy tests. Up to 4 pages of cheat sheet. He gives out a study guide for tests. No in-class work.

Took online class. Easy grader if u follow his directions & meet minimum page requirements. Type notes for Ctrl+F (find) notes quicker for 6 timed quizzes (3xtextbook & 3onlineVideos). 3 forum post+ 3response. 2 research papers, plenty of topics. Gives lots extra credit so do them! Can learn alot, gives plenty of time to do work. Not 4 lazy people.

Plenty of extra credit! No homework, just about 5 groupindividual assignments throughout the semester. Lectures are fun and interesting. Will need textbook for exam(4), he gives out study guides and allow 4 pages of notes. There are group assignments so pick a group that you can rely on! Doesn't take roll, but you'll WANT to come to class.

Carothers is a good teacher however, you really have to study for his tests. They are very hard! He offers a lot of extra credit, trust me you'll need this. The lectures are interesting, but the material he covers in lectures are not on the test. You have to really study from the book if you want to pass the tests.

He is the best teacher! There is so much extra credit it's impossible to fail unless you really don't try. Lectures are interesting, but beware the tests are SOLELY based on the textbook! Take advantage of everything he gives! The class is super fun and easy. NO FINAL EXAM, just 4 tests and projects. All easy, even if you procrastinate. Take him!

Professor Carothers is a great professor, lectures are important and exams are more textbook material with the combination of the lectures slides. Group projects as well as individual assignments. Explains clearly on the first day of class about every single assignment and projects. Awesome professor! Do your work you pass!

I took the online developmental psych class in the winter intersession. 2 papers, 2 tests, lectures and textbook reading every week. Not bad as long as you plan for it and don't do anything super last minute. I recommend an E-textbook, really helps with the tests. EASY A

Enjoyed this class, he seems like he's a stickler on policy but he just expects what any teacher would expect. Definitely pay attention to the lectures or download them and listen to them over and over if you're taking it online. I took him during intercession and got an A. Focus on your papers and you'll do great

Great professor took him for general psych and then developmental online not to bad. Pretty straight forward nothing to really complain about. Easy class as long as you do the work, turn it in on time and write emails according to what he wants you are guaranteed to pass. You can fail the tests and still pass with a B in the class just do the paprz

I took him during the spring semester, and it was such a great class! His lectures are so interesting and will have you paying attention the whole time. I really enjoyed his class, plus he is not so bad to look at ;) He gives alot of extra credit so people should take advantage!! I plan on taking him for an online course.

Took online. Ended up with a C because of my laziness to do somethings. But if you follow directions you will get a A. Run down: 2 papers(projects), 4 forum posts(min 2 pages), a test email, intro forum post worth good points. He has a certain way to that he wants emails sent to him. Make sure you follow the instructions! Great class.

Took Mr. Carothers online summer course. At the beginning of the semester he laid out all his requirements for the class, so if you are good at following guidelines and staying on top of your work, this should be an easy A for you. He is a generous grader and provides feedback for turning work in early. Received an A, would take him again!

I took 2 of his classes, one for general psych and an online dev psych class. For his gen psych class, his lectures are great and he's super straight to the point and clear on what he wants. His tests won't surprise you if you study using his study guide and the book/lecture. However, his online dev psych class, is confusing on assignment labeling.

He actually grades the papers and forum posts pretty hard so make sure you follow the format. Hes kind of a stickler for format. But overall, didnt read the book and I still got an A. But SERIOUSLY DO ALLLLL THE EXTRA CREDIT

My advice for the very first day of class is to find a seat next to the smartest looking person because it's likely you will form a group with the people around you. That group could either be a blessing or a curse because the group will carry you during your weak spots. And when you are in a group, make sure you do your part.

Make sure that you schedule him for your last class. He often lets you out early and there is often no class the last week of the semester unless you have makeup work.

Best teacher I've had at Evergreen College BY FAR. Very educated man that you can tell knows his stuff and makes sure he's super clear on everything that he wants. Lectures were always super interesting and I learned a lot. Just do your stuff and you'll pass with an A. Also, make sure your group that you pair up with on the first day is awesome.

He's a good teacher; however, his tests are really hard even with the test notes. Plus beware the portfolio project. It's really something that shouldn't be put off

Carothers offers TONS of extra credit and allows 2 sheets of paper as a cheat sheet front and back for exams. The way he lectures is super energetic and you can tell he really has a passion for what he does. He's suuper nice and understanding, definitely take him! Do the homework and you're guaranteed to pass.

Took him summer 2016. This review is too late but I do highly recommend him in class. Many people asked me about who was my professor in Psychology. I recommended him to everyone. I have him online and his lectures are something that you will really learn from it. He gives you personal feedback about your work and I like it! He's strict time-wise

Carothers responds to e-mails very quickly, UNLESS you have a question about a grade you received as he states that you can get 'unlimited feedback' BEFORE a specific date, BEFORE an assignment is due. His grading rubrics are very confusing. Otherwise, do all his assignments and it's an easy A! Plus he gives out lots of extra credit!!

Took for the summer, great class, would definitely take again.

Only thing I hated was emailing him because he would give kind of rude replies back. Its almost as if he wants us to feel stupid for asking him for help on anything. When I would ask for help he told me "did you look at the syllabus", as if I didn't already try that. I had asked for help from classmates who were also given rude replies from him.

I liked Mr. Carothers online class style. You will do well if you read his free e-textbook, take good notes, and put thought into essays. It was great how he graded on how well I knew the content and not on my mediocre writing skills. Though the class is very doable, MANAGE YOUR TIME and really put out a few hours a week to study.

He was a really good lecturer, he was super interesting and made you never want to skip class. However his tests were extremely hard (so make a really good cheat sheet!) and he makes you do group work so make sure you have a good group from the start. His hw isn't bad, but he has gotten harder over the years and I'm sure there are easier teachers

Mr Carothers is a great guy. Extremely passionate about what he does. You can sleep through his class, because the lectures will not exactly help you on the test, however they are interesting and very easy to relate too. Great professor !!! TAKE HIM! I took him during summer session and his instructions are clear. His exams are direct. There is writing involved but not anything crazy. Since it was an online class YOU have to be organized and make sure you dont miss assignments. He is great at updating canvas
