I think Brad Casselman is the best teacher I have ever had!!! I love being in his class. I think he is sooooo hot. I LOVE it when he talks about the PDV. I am not really sure what it stands for or what it does (something to do with data), but all I think is Passionate Display Verification.

Stats 260 with Casselman was easy. Very few homework assignments, and bonus is given on every homework. His tests are straight from his study guides/ power-points

Brad was an awesome teacher. His tests came straight from his powerpoints. He had a few homework assignments, all easy and with lots of time to complete them. Each homework had bonus points. The only downside is that he works for an insurance company and travels a lot so he brings in substitutes that don't know what they're talking about. Easy A.

He's a great man with a passion for teaching. Stats has always been my weak point and he helped me get through my second time taking this course (first time was with Perry). Great professor with clear grading criteria which makes the test manageable. highly recommended!

Brad does care about what he's teaching, and he does a good job explaining the material. However, Stats 260 is the most boring class I have taken which makes it that much more difficult. Brad does his best, but you will not have fun.

So this was a tough class for me, but despite that I still thought Brad Casselman was a great teacher and a sweet guy. He really tried to make things as simple as possible and he gave a lot of extra credit. Class attendance is taken everyday and going definitely helps your grade!

He gives plenty of examples in class when going over a problem. His homework's are basically the tests with a definition questions added. If you pay attention in class and do a few practice problems before the test you should be fine. ledn

Casselman is a good teacher. I did not find the material difficult at all. The tests were very easy. Attendance is required. Casselman clearly loves this material and teaches it well. Pay attention in class, do the homework, and you will do well. This class required very little studying for the tests. I highly recommend taking Casselman.

He did his best to make a boring class interesting. He give you a study guide for exams, which covers about 1/2 of what you will be tested on. All homework is online.

Casselman is a great professor who really cares about his students and is willing to give you as much help as you would like! If you do your homework you will get A's on your tests.

Dr Casselman makes ST260 easy. I had heard plenty of horror stories about this subject, but I felt it wasn't difficult at all as long as you stay on top of the homework. He also gives extra credit for attendance, and an extra credit homework, so there is some wiggle room. My major complaint is that he doesn't ever answer emails, even re: grades.

BC is great! A very nice guy who tries to lighten up the class. His lecture powerpoint aren't great, but the study guides do a good job at summing up the info. Study these! Tests are not too hard b/c he gives all formulas, but the T/F section can be tricky. Extra credit for attendance. Do the h-work, it helps a lot b/c it's worth so much of grade.

BRAD CASSELMAN!! Sweet man, cares his students. LOVED stats because of him. You will make an A if you put in the effort.

Brad does a really good job of teaching. I have him for an 8am and he acknowledges that it's early and tries his best to help keep us awake (for Mardi Gras he threw beads to us and was playing music in the lecture hall). He loves his students and loves statistics. Attendance isn't mandatory but you get extra credit for going.

class is not that easy. but if you go to review sessions and put in the work, you should get an A in the class. Brad cares about his students and wants yall to do well.

Genuinely a really nice guy and is really attentive to his students during office hours. His lectures are boring but if you study for the tests you will do fine. He is clear to what is on the tests and tries his best to give you example problems similar to what will be on the exams. You definitely have to study but info is easy to comprehend

ST260 itself isn't a great class. However, Brad is great. If you attend class and do the homework you will have a relatively clear understanding of the concepts. He is a nice guy and likes to make jokes. I wouldn't say the class is easy but he is a good professor.

Brad is sometimes cringy, but the material is fairly easy. Honestly, you could just watch a couple videos. His grading system is simple, but if you fail one test, you might be in trouble. He *understands* what students want and even said its okay to not come to our 8am the day after Halloween.

great man, really wants students to do well when he sees them trying hard. attendance is mandatory for the most part and its usually kind of hard to follow lecture but his in class reviews and office hours help a ton. an A in this class is easily achievable. if you do your part he will help you as much as he can!

Stats is pretty boring, but this class is pretty easy if you go to class and pay attention. Homework is every once in a while, but attendance is randomly taken 10 times throughout the semester. Casselman really cares about his students and the material, overall decent class.

Brad's power points are ridiculously long for not hard material. That being said he isn't a bad teacher and he gives you the exact format for the test during the review session. Honestly I just learned off of the study guides the day before the class and got an A. He also gives an extra point on your grade if you only miss one class.

Stats is THE most boring class you can take. But if you *have* to take it, this guy tries SO hard to get students involved and interested. Doesn't usually work, but he can only lead the horse to water. He's clear about what he expects, no tricks. if you dislike the course it's 100% bc of the subject material, NOT BRAD. Tests are medium difficulty.

Brad is a great guy. Like many others have said, stats will always be boring unless that's something you're really interested in, but he makes it as painless as he can. Go see him during his office hours if you have questions, he's very nice in person and willing to help you.

i wasn't a fan of him in the beginning, but then i realized its because his lectures are boring. take the class with him he really wants you to pass and makes study guides and review sessions that are very similiar to his tests. if you don't think you are going to do well in stats take him, he will help you get through it. Brads a great and funny guy, but the class is all over the place in his teaching method. He uses PowerPoint slides from 2006 that dont make any sense and goes off of many side tangent. In my 80 minute class theres probably about 15 minutes of usable content. He makes you use excel on the homework, while the tests dont allow it.

mr. casselman is a great guy and is super approachable. but his class is pretty hard. if you go to class and take notes as efficiently as possible, youll be okay. hes super helpful and wants his students to succeed. stats sucks but if you have to take it make sure its with casselman!!!

Professor Casselman is one of my favorite professors at UA. Great guy and if you seek help he will totally help you! He'll explain the problems and walk it through with you. He gives you a useful study guide for each exam. Wish I could take another one of his classes. textbook reading not required but will help if lost on concepts during HW.

I definitely took this class and teacher for granted looking back now that finals are over I realized his class was not that hard. His lectures do tend to be boring at times, but he does try to throw in some humor and if you pay attention you can actually learn something from him. Textbook helped a ton. If I took ST 260 again I would choose him.

Casselman's lectures tend to be a little on the boring side until you get to correlation/regression testing. He makes it as fun as he can, but Stats is just pretty boring in general. Office hours are a huge help if you are struggling. He wants you to succeed and do well. Kind of a slow grader, but fast at replying to emails.

I loved his class. Honestly, I never listened to any of his lectures. Just work the homework and look in the textbook for how to do it and you'll be fine. Super nice guy and will make sure you understand the material if you need help. He does random attendance & quizzes so just go to class and keep up.

Casselman is an awesome guy but can be somewhat annoying as a teacher. Lectures are long and sometimes off track. Casselman himself is a great educator though. He really cares about his students and makes himself extremely accessible. Stats is tricky but Casselman is definitely your best option for ST260.

Nice professor. I didnt enjoy this class at all but Im glad I passed. Brad isnt a bad instructor and hes always willing to help. Hes not a hard grader either. This is one of those classes that youd have to put in work for and read to understand the many concepts of it.

Casselman is awesome. He's super funny and cool and he makes stats 260 not too hard. His tests are usually very similar to the reviews he gives out. Just be sure to go through homework problems too and you will be fine. You have 3 tests worth 80% so the tests weigh heavy.

Casselman is a very easy option for ST 260. His lectures help explain the material well, and if you do the homework, you will be prepared for the tests. His attendance policy allows for 7 absences, so you can skip if needed and not miss too much material.

Went into this class expecting a C- I am real bad at all math. He made a super hard subject not only interesting but borderline easy. Super caring and willing to help. Gave out tons of ex credit. Number 1 stat prof at UA, if you have to take this class - take him.

Some extra credit, 6 absences allowed, records lectures, easy quizzes, manageable amount of homework. I mostly learned excel from this class, it wasn't too math heavy. If you have ADHD, it seems like he talks really slowly, so it's hard to pay attention. I usually rewatched the lectures on 1.5x speed but didn't need to read the textbook.

Casselman is a fair grader and gives additional credit when material is missed on exams; however, this class is hard if you arent a math person or very good at Excel. You only have about 5-6 homework assignments all year, 4 exams, and 3-4 quizzes for grades, so helping your grade is very slim at times; however, he does give extra credit.

Casselman is a nice guy. He's the best option for stats, so take that for what you will. He randomly takes attendance. First 2 exams aren't terrible. USE THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS TO STUDY FOR EXAMS! Graded on 3 exams, homework, and 5 quizzes. Lectures become less useful towards the end, taught myself. Gave extra credit occasionally.

Casselman makes stats very easy. Lectures are fairly boring though. He always uses the entire class period. If he sees that he has 5 minutes left of class he will always use the 5 minutes. If you go to class, you will do just fine on exams. I would go to class and that was enough studying for the exams and I got 90s consistently

Professor Casselman is a good instructor. Going to class is important, but he explains things well if you do. His tests are not hard if you put in the effort to study for them. There is a decent amount of homework, but you have a week to do it.

Professor Casselman is an amazing statistics professor. He knows it stuff and teaches it well, and is a funny guy. He cares about his students and their grades, offering some extra credit opportunities. Gives very helpful reviews for tests, go to his lectures and review sessions and you will do good on tests. Attendance is taken on random days.

Pretty good professor. Gives a couple extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. Lectures can be very boring and repetitive, but he cares and gives study guides. Go over and practice the exam reviews before each exam, they are very similar to the tests. True or false questions are the most difficult part of tests.

I took Dr.Casselman and he's a good instructor. His lectures can be confusing sometimes but if you go to him during office hours and test prep with the TA you can get further understanding of the material and you will be able to pass any test. Highly recomend him for Stats 260

ST-260 is not an "easy" course by any means but he and the TA's are extremely helpful. HW is a good reflection of the tests and he treats the tests as closely to paper as possible. He goes through everyone's tests to give potential credit for wrong answers as long as you show your work! Go to class and do the HW.

He's a pretty good professor; he explains why you use what he's teaching but does not explain how to do the stuff. The tests have both formula sheets and excel, so it becomes a lot easier to do the tests. Also, he goes back through the tests to give partial credit.

Stats isn't an easy class, but casselman really wants to see you succeed. He gives partial credit on exams, his TAs offer review sessions for the tests, and he reviews in class. Go to class!! Go to his office hours if you need help.

He's a very good teacher for what he teaches. It's Stats so it is a harder class. Pay attention in class and go to the review sessions and you should be fine. If you go to outside hours with the TA's, it will reward you in multiple ways. Overall, a great option for Stats. Love the guy, hope the best for him in life.

The class is very boring. I never really went. Tests are difficult and you do not have much to help your grade if you do poorly on one test. Homework and quizzes don't do much to your grade.

Big Brad fan. Tests make up most of your grade but formula sheet + excel puts him above what other professors I've heard. We had a single attendance quiz.

He's a great teacher but the class difficulty sneaks up on you and you can lose track quickly and fall behind if you stop paying attention. Attendance is checked by a few random attendance quizzes. The tests aren't bad but they aren't easy either. It's definitely a manageable class if you do your homework and pay attention in class.

Stats is super hard at UA but Casselman is def the best prof to get for it! Always responds to emails quick and is willing to help you to do whatever it takes to pass his class! plus he is super nice!!

I thought he was a great professor. Some will say he talks a lot but he likes to engage with the class rather than just stand up at the front and read off the slides. The class is difficult if you don't pay attention, but it is all basic statistics that you can find vids online for if you need help. His reviews are also very helpful for the test.

He's great and cares for his students.His study guides were a great prep for the test and I would have gotten an A if I didn't stop going to class for the test two materials. I went for test 1 and 3 classes and did way better on those two tests. So just go to class and you'll be fine. Stats wasn't as hard as I was told and thats because of Caselman

This is a hard class. But if you stick it out and go to his office hours, he will help! I recommend him over others. Be prepared to study and attend class because he does give bonus point quizzes. He does keep you till the last minute, though. He also goes back through each test and will give you half credit on some problems if deserved.

Professor Casselman is an overall decent professor and wants the best for his students. The subject is painfully boring and hard but from what I have heard he is one of the best stats teachers. Does random attendance quizzes and offers a good amount of bonus. Go to class and study and you will do fine

He is amazing! Stats is a hard class but he makes it so much easier. Go to office hours and he will help you and his study guides help so much with what is on the test. Casselman keeps stats simple and to the point. The course is primarily exam-based, so your grade largely depends on your test performance. Attendance quizzes are for extra credit, and class is lecture-heavy. Reading the textbook is unnecessary; don't skip lectures, and hit office hours a week before the exam. Very average but fair.

This professor was amazing! He made the material so easy! He made sure that people understood it and he is a fast email responder.

He made ST 260 about as interesting as you can make it. He does a good job with allowing time to do homework and with multiple checks on them it is basically a free 100 on each one. I think the class material can be boring and that is not his fault. He overall has done a good job this semester and I would suggest taking him.

ST 260, in my opinion, is not an easy course. However, Prof. Casselman tries his best to make it as easy and understandable as possible. He does tend to info overload but don't let it confuse you and you will be fine. Also gives extra credit, especially if you go to class.
