An awesome easy going teacher who isn't far removed from the ranks of the students. I would recommend taking him at all cost.
Great teacher. Helps students a lot and is fair and upfront about grades. Light on homework which is great for this class and sends students into test well prepared...I'll see him again for ode for sure
He let you know what was expected, then tested you on it. What a concept!?! I had Lala Krishna for my first Calc II attempt, look him up. It was like night and day. hard to believe it was even the same class.

really helpful and tries hard to teach well and be fair.
By far the best math professor I have taken. Very clear, is more then willing to take the time to make sure everyone is on the same page. Great with office hours, I would recommend him to everyone and anyone.
Poor instructor. Class ended without covering 3 additional chapters which were on the syllabus. (This is good if you want an easy grade, but bad if you are ging on to calculus and need to learn the additional info on your own over winter break.) Often wasn't able to answer students' questions and said he would get back to them the next class.
Good teacher but didin't go over some sections at the end of the semester abd they were on the final. Good with homework and quizes though
He was one of my favorite math teachers, he makes sure you understand what he's teaching
AWESOME calc 3 professor. Mr Justice is very helpful and makes sure everyone understands the material. Quizzes are fair, exams are also fair. Homework can be tough but if you do it you'll breeze the class. Fun to talk to and a good guy. Highly recommended I wish i could have him for all my math courses!!!
Good teacher, and if you do the HW you will know whats on the tests. and if you go over your test, you will know whats on the final.
Excellent teacher. If you dont learn well in his class then you probably arent showing up.
Does a good job conveying material, though he does try to stick to a schedule and sped up at the end of the semester. Our third test was a (hard) take home test so we had more time in class to learn the material, which was nice since we could work in groups to finish it. Overall a very good teacher.
the best math teacher ever. he taught it all, drilled what we would actually need to know later, and was correct in his presumption.
This guy is the best. You MUST take him. He is the easiest professor. He tells you EXACTLY what is going to be on the quiz/test. He gives bonus on homework. Seriously, if you have to take calc with business apps., you must take him. He is always willing to see students if they need help. On tests if you don't know what your doing, he'll you how.
Mr. Justice is an awesome professor... he makes what i thought was a hard class as easy as it can be... he is the most helpful teacher i have had at the university... even on tests dont be afraid to ask him questions he will answer them for you... if you have to take calc with bus appl try to get him as your teacher you wont regret it
Not sure how often he teaches Discrete Math as I had him for it in Spring 07. He taught the material extremely well and was willing to help outside of class. I highly recommend him.
Great teacher. Had him for a summer class. Teaches what you need to know. Explains everything well. If you pay attention and study you will pass easily. Best teacher I have had at Akron. Made me want to go to class.
Brad was an amazing teacher! The homework readily prepared your for the tests and quizzes, and if not, he was always willing to help. If I had to continue in math I would definitely only take him!
BEST MATH TEACHER IVE EVER HAD! His lectures are sometimes boring but he is a great professor. He will answer any questions you have before or during a test or quiz. Homework isnt long and helps you on the test. he lets you know exactly what he wants. I strongly recommend taking him!!
Very organized, helpful and easy I would highly recommend him, one of the best math professors
GREAT PROFESSOR. isnt out to trick you. do practice problems from book & you will ace exams. posts solns before hw is assigned. ASK FOR HELP if you dont understand; he is very nice & doesnt make you feel stupid.
great teacher!! very easy to understand, gives ample time to complete homework, and prepares you well for quizzes and tests.. definitely recommend him for any math class!! wish he was teaching mat 2 next semester
You know what needs to get done theres a lot less theory then most professors
Took him for Discrete Math back in '07. Was a great teacher! Very easy to understand and he took his time to help you if you had any problems. Tried to take him again this semester, but all his classes were full. Highly recommended!
BEST PROFESSOR EVER, way better than those who have PHD in math think they are the best ones, difficult material but makes you understanddd, EXCELLENT should win the professor of the year award
Great teacher just be careful about his discussion leaders most of them are inexperienced and cant teach.
He was great!!! He was very clear during lecture and covered every possible example that we may see later on an exam. He was also more than willing to help outside of class. Dropped our lowest quiz score and gave some forgiveness for one bad test grade. Highly recommended!!!
He was a great professor. I loved the way that he taught. The grading is fairly easy. I did really great on the final because of him.
Very nice guy. Easy to follow and he breaks his notes down very well. Any questions he will answer and he will email you back if you have a question. Math zone is where we currently (Spring '11) due all our homework and quizzes. Quizzes you get three attempts! Recommended for sure
Awesome teacher, extremely laid back and is able to explain things very well. Highly recommend his class
Great teacher need more like him. Highly intelligent and great ability to teach. You will learn a lot and enjoy his class.
Best Math professor I've had at Akron, hands down... I realize that's not saying much, but Dr. J is very good at keeping simple things simple, and making difficult things manageable.
1st thing i am not gay second thing you always look nice during class and thirdly sorry i've fallen asleep in class a few times your not that bad just between lack of rest and in case bonking my head against the wall really hard i was tired thanks for being a wonderful professer
Mr. Justice is a great teacher. He will make sure that everyone understands the material before he moves on. He assigns Connect Math homework but you have a long time to do it.It can get frustrating though. Tests are worth most of your grade so you have to study hardcore to make sure your grade doesn't slip and get out of reach.Definitely recommend
Best teacher! Take him !!
Best math teacher I have ever had! I struggle with math and he made it very easy to understand! Def take him for any math class! I had the second part of this course this semester and didnt get him and I did not understand it as well. Great teacher!
He is an awesome teacher and explains everything well.
Very helpful. Always willing to work with you if you needed help. Tests were all pretty straight to the point.
Great professor! he will guide you through any problem and will not stop until you understand it. Tests are all very fair because he gives a practice take home test and the real test is basically the same. He also tells you which problems on the practice test to pay most attention to. Low score on textbook use because it was never used in class.
great teacher. will work with you on any problem until you understand it. great lectures his grading is fair and he tells you exactly what material will be on every test
GREATTTTT teacher. Not boring. Very easy to understand. unlike many professors, he is very responsive
HE IS THE BEST EVER.I AM FROM SAUDI ARABIA, AND I DIDN'T FIND A TEACHER LIKE HIM EVER. EASY TEST, HW AND QUIZ ARE ONLINE.RESPECTIFUL TO EVEYONE.DO YOU KNOW SOMETHING JUST TAKE HIS CLASS
He is extremely approachable. His passion for the subject is contagious, and makes the class as interesting as 90 minutes of math can be. His testing is fair, and questions are always encouraged. Given the chance, i would definitely take another class from him.
Brad Justice's class is challenging but he teaches extremely well. His notes are his own and he is very approachable via office hours. He cares about how you're doing.
He's the best professor I've ever had.very clear in every piece of information given in class. he responds to students' question. he's always available for help during office hours. his exams reflect everything said in class. Attendance helped me a lot. homework is very important as well. if you're taking a discrete math class, take it with him.
Teaches the material in a manner that any person could understand and does not look down on students who frequently ask questions. He will skip his plan for the class and go over previous material to the class if they do not understand it still. Take him if you want a good grade and a good background for higher calculus classes!
AWESOME TEACHER! I've had him for 2 classes already. Great Professor, as long as you're in class and willing to work he will help you as much as he can. He is like a math genius, and super easy going!
Great professor, honestly. I liked him a lot, but the tests were so challenging. Homework definitely saved me. Be careful of concepts that seem easy. There will be a question to make it more challenging, as always. Take him and have no fear. Study hard, and remember, if I could do it (terrible at math), so can you!
Brad is a good teacher, he introduces the new material and then does example problems I would take him again. He gives you the answers to the homwork and thats 25% of your grade. Test are just like the study guide
I seriously loved taking Brad's class. He is so helpful when you have problems and has office hours everyday, which i utilized all the time. My class did not receive weekly quizzes over the material, which decreased the stress. We received test reviews which had questions very similar to the test. Overall he is a very nice and informative prof
Brad Justice was an amazing professor. He knew the subject was hard so he worked to simplify it for us and helped us through many problems. Always lenient and reliable on homework and any questions. Test are tough but if you study your notes, they are the same questions just worded a little different! Take him if you have to best professor I've had
Brad is a very helpful professor but his tests are very challenging. The problems he gives you in the notes are easy and the tests are nothing like the notes. When it comes to tests he always throws in a curve ball. The class is very doable though, take advantage of his office hours.
Great professor, extremely helpful and interested in the success of his students. His homework's are hard but their difficulty makes the test seem less difficult. You will definitely learn in this class.
allegedly one of the best professors you can get for calc 3, however his hw is 25% of the grade and it is difficult. I spent 6 hours on one hw multiple times. His grading can also be a little hazy but he is straight forward and his review sheets are quite helpful. Tests are challenging but not unbearable. Overall: guy, just a difficult class
Awesome dude. He's really passionate about math and all of the theories behind it and loves teaching. Quizzes and exams are easy as long as you keep up with what he tells you to work on. 10/10 would recommend
Such a great math teacher! He goes into the perfect amount of detail and clarifies very well! He's also a really cool guy. Granted, it is calculus so it's not the easiest subject in the world but he explains it the best that anyone could. He's been my favorite professor this year. I'm definitely going to try to get him for Calc 2.
Fantastic instructor. Tests are difficult, but if you go go class and do your homework, you will be fine. Brad is a very nice guy, very available to give help outside class. I would definitely recommend taking him for any math class.
Fantastic instructor. Tests are difficult, but if you go to class and do homework regularly, you will be fine. Brad is a really nice guy, and is very available to give help outside class. Would definitely recommend for any math class.
He really is an excellent professor - the best I've had. I didn't think his tests were all THAT hard and he will provide help during them, but his Calc 3 final was very, very tough. I got close to a 100 on every test and felt lucky that I got an 80 on the final, so STUDY. He was VERY helpful during office hours so GO SEE HIM. Don't skip class
Show up to class, pay attention, take notes. If you don't understand ask for help. He's funny and helpful. Very nice.
Brad is good guy who cares for his students. He realizes what its like to be in our shoes. He will help you in any way possible
Professor Justice is a great teacher. If math is a struggle for you then I suggest taking Professor Justice's class because he explains concepts well, and has daily office hours. Highly recommend taking his class.
Brad makes sure everything is clear and understandable in his lectures. Always willing to explain things if you need help.
Brad teaches at a slower pace, does lots of examples and breaks things down clearly if you're having trouble. There are quizzes every Friday, which are usually fine, and 3 exams which vary. The best advice I can give is PRACTICE. He sporadically gave extra credit if he was behind on grading or something. He tells you what to look out for on tests
Great teacher. Homework questions are the EXACT SAME as the quiz questions. If you don't understand something on the homework, ask because you will be seeing that same question on the WEEKLY Friday quiz, and sometimes, on the exam. Very accessible, willing to help. Some grades get dropped so you will come out with a higher grade than expected.
Took a Grad Assistant for pre calc and got a D, retook it with Mr. Justice and got an A-, took him for Calc I, got an A- again. I am going to keep taking him for every class I can. He teaches efficiently, and is a very fair grader. He even gave us a take home exam. 10/10 recommend.
Excellent professor very dedicated to making sure the class understands what is being taught. He is very reasonable when grading. I would reccomend him for any Calc class. He is one of the few outstanding teachers at akron
He makes pre-calculus fun to learn. Hes easy to understand and goes at a slow pace which at times can be annoying if you understood the material the first time around. He also gave me 100% on a hmwk I missed just because I went to his office hours and went over some problems.
Really great prof. Understands the material well and conveys it to students well. If you don't show up to class your going to be in for a rough ride. He is available pretty often for office hours and if you need more help he can usual schedule some time aside other than whats listed. Textbook was not used, only used it for more practice problems.
Tests are just like the homeworks this is usually the case for lazy professors. However he cares a lot about his students. Gives excellent lectures.
Justice is a good professor. I had little difficulty in understanding the content of the course. He is always willing to help students. There are no exams but many quizzes, which are pulled from the optional homework. I recommend taking his class.
Took him for calc 1&2, he was always so helpful and he explains complex materials in a way for everyone to comprehend. Definitely take him. Also, his tests are pretty easy if you know what youre doing.
I took Professor Justice for both Calc 2 and 3. He presents the course material in a straightforward, step by step process to each problem. For his quizzes, he takes homework problems straight from the book. Beware, this will make the final exam harder because it won't be the same problems (or style). He is definitely willing to help you!
Pretty easy class. Weekly quizzes that help prepare you for the test. his lectures are super helpful and I would definitely recommend going. The online hw is usually pretty easy and he usually makes them around 10 questions. Would recommend if you took precalc in high school and need a good refresher.
Dr. Justice was the absolute best professor ive every had period. Im not the greatest in math but the way he explained the content it made a lot of sense. He is always available after class and for office hours for you to ask questions. If you have trouble in math and dont want to repeat, try your hardest to get Dr. Justice he is the best!
Professor Justice is awesome. He has his own blank notes that he posts for discrete mathematics that you can fill in and follow along with in class. His expectations are clear, and he takes his time to answer questions with a calm approach. I highly recommend him to my peers.
Brad Justice is the most amazing professor I've had at Akron. I had Justice over the summer 2019. He is by far the best at explaining the material and cares about his students. The course itself is difficult, yet he clearly explains each topic. He adds humor to help the environment. Always available to students. 100% Recommend Brad Justice!!!!!!!
Brad is AWESOME! He is one of the most chill professors at Akron. He is extremely understanding, helpful, and actually teaches the material in a way that makes sense. Would 100% recommend!
One of the best teachers I have had. Very caring and helpful. Grades fairly.
Brad was awesome. best calc teacher I have had
Professor Justice is the best math professor at Akron because he of his ability to explain concepts well to students. He grades fairly, and the grade you get in his class is the best you could possibly do in my opinion. Class is all quizzes with a final. Because of only having to study sections at a time for quizzes, final is tougher to study for.
Weekly quizzes, flexible with the class's opinion. Homework from the textbook is optional, the only grades are the quizzes and the final. He gives you lecture notes online and follows them closely, print them out and use that as notes. Quizzes are homework and lecture problems and some unique ones. Good guy, fun, cares, available outside of class.
Easily the best professor I've had. Made the content seem simple. Good guy in general.
Calc 1 & 2 were not my favorite, but Dr. Justice managed to make calc 3 much easier for me. I can't speak for in-person, but online Fall 2020 has been great. It's still difficult content, but his lectures are easy to follow and his exams are very similar to his lectures. Honestly, quizzes were harder than exams. We love Brad. Take him if you can!!
Prof Justice does everything a professor should do for his students. He explains how to do problems and gives exercises to do on (do them and ask questions on the discussion board) Utilize him and his knowledge because he will respond and explain in depth how to do things. His office hours are also very helpful but come with questions. 10/10 prof!!
Honestly he is a good professor but the only true complaint is that he teaches the material differently than the textbook.
This man takes away so many points for the most minor mistake. In online classes he only does like a handful of examples and doesn't really explain the content. He doesn't actually give what you did wrong for the most part on the inline feedback for quizzes and exams, and when I asked him for what I did wrong I only got half a response.
Made my class grade just based on tests. Are quizzes were worth 0-2 points of extra credit. You have to do the homework and study. Calc is just a hard class. Lectures move fast. The teacher is very understanding and well informed. He answers emails and is very accessible if your need help.
I don't usually give feedback to professors since all of them are ignorant in some way, but this professor is one of those smart guys who make learning easy. He is straightforward. No stupid stupid stuff just simple logic.
Dont usually leave ratings on professors, had a terrible experience with a class and had to retake it. Decided to switch to a diff professor and was lucky enough to have Brad. Online class but lectures were thorough and got the material covered. Class was an easy pass as long as you watch the lectures. Great experience.
When lecturing he seems to mix some minor things up that could make you get questions wrong. He often switches what things mean and it can be hard to interpret when you're just learning. When grading tests if you get the wrong answer but do the correct steps after he will take off points starting at your mistake. Not too much work but fast pased.
I took his class online, and although it was a hard topic, his videos very clearly explained everything. The course was very organized and I liked how he gave out the notes as a template in the beginning of the semester so we could fill it out and stay organized. I really enjoyed the way he taught the class, and I would take another from him.
Was in the Navy, Casper- Awesome.
Took Calc I online, easy to get in contact with outside of class when you need extensions or help with homework. Quizzes and exams were quite challenging, but he is a pretty respectful grader, so you won't lose many points for basic math mistakes. Usually weekly quizzes, do the HW!! it helps so much with understanding the content. Would take again.
The professor explains concepts clearly, and is very accessible for questions and help. Homework is key to understanding the material. I found unstuck study and ChatGPT helpful for Calc prep. Manageable difficulty overall.
