Can be helpful at times and not helpful at other times. If you don't want a hard networking class don't take his
Bro. Armstrong is in my opinion, a very difficult teacher to deal with. He just goes up in front of the class and blabbers about crazy things that no one understands. I am so lost in this class and he shows no mercy towards his students. It has been a waste of my time!
Good teacher but just throws acronyms at you and never explains them or cares to explain them. his labs and questions are on blackboard and if you type something wrong its grades you wrong and you get a bad grade kind of lame
Great Teacher, He cares. has always helped me to uderstand, if you take the time to read the text you will do fine.
Read the text, pay attention to his power points, take time to do the weekly questions and labs and you will do just fine in his class. Lots to memorize but it is repeated a lot in class as well so not a big worry.
I got a A just by studying SAMS. There is not any vocabulary on test just how do you do things in Excel, it is easy.
Pretty much the Powerepoints teach the class - not him. A lot of times he is arrogant and lazy when it comes to preparing the material for quizes: you can find most answer just Googling the exact questions. One good thing: some hands on projects.
He doesn't make the class very fun, but he works hard and does his best to help. Easy A if you do the all assignments. Good knowledge of the subject. Having to spend so much on texts really stinks. He could easily make his own cases and put them on blackboard and lose the book.
Teacher has a habit of talking continously without the use of commas or periods. At times it is extremely difficult to pay attention because the class is an hour and half long and can became stale very fast. Homeowrk is reasonable and not extremely difficult. Remember to ask questions because it is hard to catch up cause the work is comprehensive.
The class is pretty easy as long as you come to class and learn the material. He does his best to help you understand the program if you don't get it which is nice because the aides in the computer lab typically are no help. I really liked that he gives time during class to get your homework done.
Bro Armstrong does not take any time to teach in this class! Strongly discourage anyone to take it, unless you like to go to 30mins of useless class and then spend another 2 hours every week listening to his little movies he makes. AVOID! Try someone else....
Bar none the worst professor on campus! He sits up in a chair reading powerpoint slides class period after class period. You end up being completely bored to death most of the class and then have to scramble to really figure out what material you need to learn come test time. Avoid taking him at all costs!
Worst teacher ever. Not flexible at all. Nice guy but will not give any lenience. Too bad he is the only teacher for 240
All lectures are online in slideshow w/audio & combined with the book there is no need to hear anything he says inclass unless u have a specific question. No late work, Midterm/Final inclass. Weekly quizes (in testing center), weekly labs (Cisco Packet Tracer), & weekly questions (20 per chapter). Good Class but teach doesn't rlly do much.
Brother Armstrong really knows is stuff, but information gets thrown at you very quickly. His powerpoints are very saturated with information. Some of the questions you do for the chapters are not from the reading or the powerpoints, which was frustrating.
Teacher lectures but doesn't cover everything in class thats needed. Study the book and you don't have to focus in class. Labs were ok but had missing commands in the PDFs you followed. Must act dumb with the labs. I got 4/30 because no specific subnet was requested and I used a /29 instead of /27 easy A for me since I was a network admin before.
He knows his stuff but quite a bit of stuff that's on tests are not stuff he goes over in class. Really nice guy, just isn't the best at teaching...
Lectures are boring. Most of the questions for homework & quizzes are taken out of a Cisco teachers guide. Much of the power point material is as well. He's a smart guy and nice too but most of my time in class consists of surfing the web.
I see alot of negative comments here so I wanted to say that i learned alot in this class. He's not a terribly animated teacher, but not everyone is. As long as you read before class you'll be able to follow him. He's great at answering questions if you ask. His classes are based around questions the class has from the reading.
Nice guy; obviously knows his stuff. He just doesn't do anything that contributed to my learning. I got a good grade in the class but that's because I spent a ton of time looking at other sources online. I agree that his slides and questions are copied out of the book. Wish I had another option for networking. labs were the most helpful thing
he is a good guy and knows his stuff he just does not know how to teach it. It is almost useless to go to class. Any thing I learn comes from the labs and the texts. I would take it from another teacher but he is the only one that teaches it.
Awesome teacher. He is very helpful and explains things well. He has a great understanding of the subject matter. Due to the subject you have to read the manual to get through the class, but I wouldn't expect anything different since I have spent 11 years in the industry. This class was helpful while preparing for the CENT test.
Good class. Gives lots of lab time and sticks around to help us out with the assignments. Knows a lot. One of the only teachers that teaches this class...so checking his rating to decide if you want him for 440 is pretty pointless...haha.
Inspired me to learn more about Networking. You have weekly quizzes. You need to study the book. Packet tracer is fun. He teaches you all the commands you need. Takes a lot of time. Advice= use google to help if book is unclear.
Plain and simple the worst class i have every taken. if your looking for education and interest in networking....run like hell in the opposite direction
Extremely nice guy and he's willing to help. The only problem is he speaks CIT language right off the bat, and if you aren't experienced you're not going to understand him at all and class will be boring. However, I had no idea what he was talking about and still got a good grade. Class isn't that hard just time consuming.
I've been going here for 5 years and this class is tied for first place for the worst class I've taken. Terrible teaching, got more clarity from Google. Hard to even get up and go cause you learn 90% on your own. Terrible text book too! 10 question 5 min quizes every week in the testing center!! Worthless.
This is a great class. I learned so much about networking. If you actually read the material before class than everything makes sense when he explains it during class. He is really good about answering questions, just make sure you ask some or you won't get the most out of this class.
The book is crap. The quiz questions are crap. You can study for hours and get horrible grades. He is a knowledgable guy, just doesn't know how to tell students what they need to know. Will tell you tons of crap that has no importance.
Take a look at the second page of the reviews. He has been teaching networking since 05’. That is 9 years of horrible teaching! All he does is sit at the front of the class, on his chair, lecturing through power points provided by CISCO. He will not prepare you for the weekly quizzes because he simply cannot teach. Take it online.
Nothing good.
Bro Armstrong is a great teacher. His lectures are clear and helpful and as long as the class asks questions he explains everything. The class itself is very hard. They are in the middle of altering how the class works so it seemed disorganized and the e book was awful. If you are going to take CIT 230 make sure you buy a physical book
extremely helpful class. you would have to be lazy and not attend class in order to not get a good grade. Bro. Armstrong will answer any questions. Very knowledgeable
took this class a couple of semesters ago. now I have a great job because of it
Bro. Armstrong is very educated on the subject. tick off that lame students who don't study or even try are dissing a great teacher. Classes should actual teach you something. Incredible class to take
I've taken other networking classes from other professors that don't know what there doing. Armstrong is a great teacher. He'll answer any questions you have. Class is worth the money
Very difficult professor.
Text is an ebook YOU MUST BUY the physical book. He knows the material but moves through it without going through everything. You take a test over 2 chapters while he is rushing on through 4 more. His class agenda is driven by student questions, NOT HELPFUL, then he just moves on to the next topic. His tests are hard and have obscure questions.
The class is easy as long as you show up to class.
Networking was something I struggled with in general, but Bro Armstrong was very clear about students attending class, paying attention, and using the book. I was expected to troubleshoot my issues by working hard. In the tech industry, you either produce or they fire you. Simple. I appreciate a teacher who encourages independence.
Really knows his stuff, but has a hard time teaching it to the class. Covers a lot of material and class moves fast. Some outside research is needed to fully understand the material.
Just got a great job! In the interveiw process they asked me questions Bro. Armstrong taught me. My employer said it is rare for applicants to know that info. Thanks to the teaching and knowledge skills of Bro. Armstrong I got the job.
Great class. Nice professor
Very helpful class but you must show up to class to understand the material
Recommend you take this class. Great info. Knowledgeable professor.
Great class . Professor goes over the material fast but will review any questions you have. Not a class to take if your a whiner and complainer this professor will eat you alive and will remind you your in college.
I really enjoyed the class. Bro Armstrong will actually teach you networking. I've taken from other professors and they act like they don't know the answers or the material in the book.
Good class. Bro Armstrong teaches you networking but will push you to trouble shoot your networking problems as independently as possible to prepare you for your career.
Challenging class. I actually learned networking
This professor will help you with any questions .This class demands you to attend class even though he says it not mandatory. Attending class will help you drastically.
Bro. Armstrong is a great guy. Very helpful with troubleshooting.
The subject matter of the classes is rather confusingly worded in the Cisco books, but Bro. Armstrong does the best he can to help you understand. It's not Bro. Armstrong who's bad, but the Cisco books... They are SO boring. Bro. Armstrong is awesome because he really loves the students and helps any way he can! Got an A+ in 240 and 241.
Wish I would have taken course in person but very organized class
Great course
I'm glad I took the course instead of online
A lot material to learn. Bro. Armstrong will help you with anything. He understands the material unlike other professors. ..
Really entertaining and helps you see how networking works
This is my favorite class..I like how the format on the quizzes changed
I like the new quizzes. Fun class. Feel like I'm actually learning something for a change.
The stuff Bro. Armstrong taught me last week was the stuff I used this week in my job. My boss was so impressed. I feel this is a great class to take for networking. Bro Armstrong is amazing
Is willing to spend extra time with you in his office if you need extra help. Really enjoy this class! One of the best classes I've ever taken but can be challenging sometimes
Challenging class but I'm learning networking design...I recommend you take this class from Bro. Armstrong. Friends of mine are taking it online and wish they were in Bro Armstrong class. Bro Armstrong really takes the time to answer any questions and talk you through it
This is a good class. I'm learning so much. I think Bro Armstrong is one of the best teachers I've had at BYUI. I suggest you take this class from Bro Armstrong in the classroom instead of online. We have good discussions in the classroom and I feel I wouldn't get the same experience and info online.
Could be a lot more helpful when giving feedback. He has ignored a few questions I've asked through e-mail (online class). The class itself is pretty hard, and moves a little fast for a beginner in networking (no prerequisites to this course). I suggest reading a book on cisco networks first, to keep up in this class.
Bro. Armstrong is the God of Networking in BYU-I. But be ready to read a lot! If you are an international and not good with computers..., good luck.
Great course. Bro Armstrong really knows his stuff. well designed class
If you don't understand the 240 class then you will have a hard time in 241. It builds off of that class. Bro. Armstrong is the master of networking. I'm interview for a job. The guy was impressed how much I know from Bro. Armstrong classes. He also told me that Bro. Armstrong has a great reputation and it helps to get hired if you've taken from hi
I really liked this class. I took it in class and was super glad I did because I was able to get face to face instructions and have all my questions answered. Attendance isn't mandatory but I know that going to class makes the homework much easier. Great class.
This was a good class with not too much homework. The assignments check themselves so you can know what to fix before you submit it. I would take again!
Great class. One of the best instructors I've ever had. Love the discussions. Cisco is hard but he breaks it down for you. Make sure you keep up with the homework. He doesn't except it late . If you don't keep up with homework you'll get lost fast. As i soon discovered. Its a fast moving class that you will enjoy!
Networking finally making sense! This professor know his stuff! Great guy. He'll help you with anything. He cares about your success. I was told to use him as a reference while searching for a job. My friends say he's well connected and it helps you drastically to have his support. He's one of best teachers at BYUI. 241 builds off of 240 so pay att
I got overwhelmed this semester.I decided to look up stuff on-line while taking a test, the guilt was eating me up. Bro Armstrong was inspired and ask me a question one day. I confessed to cheating. I got the best lesson that change my life on the atonement. If you cheat you'll answer for it one way or the other, whether it this life or life after
Great labs. Really understood networking after this class.
Brother Armstrong was great. This class was really interesting!
Cisco is difficult to learn but Professor Armstrong is the king of it... you definitely need to take this class from him. He's one of the best professors at BYU-I that actually knows and understands what he's teaching.
241 plays off of 240 make sure you pay attention to 240 and 241 will be a breeze --Everything finally all comes together
Awesome instructor
Taking Cisco on-line is really difficult. I feel frustrated not because of the professor. Nice guy it's not he's fault but I have friends taking his 240 class and they say it's one of the best classes they ever taken. They have great class discussions and the class leads the discussions. So all their questions and concerns are discussed as a class.
Awesome class. I feel like I'm really understanding this stuff. Content really organized and presented well. Great labs.
When I had medical problems he was the only one who cared.
Bro. Armstrong makes Cisco easy! I loved this class! One of the best classes I've taken in the IT department.
Excellent class! I've learned so much from Bro Armstrong. I really enjoy Networking. He's the best networking teacher at BYU-I.
Cisco tricky but I've really enjoyed Bro. Armstrong 240 class. Bro. Armstrong really cares about our success. Great class discussions. Quizzes are done in labs. Tests are given weekly so don't skip class.
Bro. Armstrong responds to your emails quick. Great labs. Wants to teach the class what they want to learn. Class discussions are based on your questions. Great guy. You can get certified after taking his class. I now want to specialize in networking after taking his class.
I'm really enjoying this class and the class discussions. I also like how he'll allow you to do extra credit to bump up your grade. Quizzes are schedule there's no surprises in this class. Straight forward grading. I wanted to be a programmer but now I want to specialize in networking. Bro Armstrong is awesome!
Armstrong knows his networking! Nice guy.
I learn a lot with his classroom discussions! Cool Shoes! Always comes to class with a fancy outfit!
Networking is difficult. Bro Armstrong is the networking king. I've gone to him for help. He'll show you how to analyze everything. He's one of the best teachers at BYUI. He has cool shoes and ties
Bro. Armstrong is a cool guy!
Good class. Everything comes together
Grateful he gives extra credit. Like his theme ties and socks. Good guy
Brother Armstrong does his best to help but it does not make it any easier when your textbook is online based and not an easy read. Go through the powerpoints! Recommend getting a weekly tutor at the beginning of the semester as they go fast! Buy the Ebook, so you can use the CTRL-F function, Put in the work and you'll get an A.
Starts off every class by letting us ask any questions we have. So, if you have questions, ask them. He will spend the whole time answering questions if that is what needs to happen. I would, and plan to, take him again. I really enjoyed his class.
Bro. Armstrong is awesome. Well organized. He gives out extra credit
He will help a lot when you go to class with questions about the assignments and commands in Cisco.
So my work schedule made it hard to take this class. So the first time I took it online. Worst mistake . The instructor was awful. Now I'm taking this class from Bro Armstrong. It's awesome. All my questions are answered and all the pieces come together. I'm getting an A vs an F
I'm graduating this spring. Went for several job interviews. Most of my questions where from the classes I took from Bro . Armstrong! They were so impressed with my knowledge of Cisco and the training received from Bro. Armstrong ! I got a great job! Thanks Bro. Armstrong for everything. Your one of my favorite professors!
Armstrong hard to get into his classes, but the wait is worth it! He makes networking easy. I've learned a lot in his classe vs. some of the other CIT professors
He didn't post rubrics and then took points off because we can't read his mind.
Bro. Armstrong has great class discussion. I like networking where before I wanted to be a programmer. He gives extra credit. If you show up to class you've got no excuse to fail. He's one of the best teachers at BYU-I
I'm taking the online course . I couldn't get in his class. I wish I was in his class. I've been emailing Mr. Armstrong and he tries his best to help me, but I wish I was actually in his class. online stinks why can't they open up more classes if his classes are always full!
I'm taking the 341 class from Bro. Armstrong. I think this is his first semester teaching this course. It's a fun class. Piece of cake. It's hands on experience. Real equipment not a simulation.
Do not listen to all idiots ranting about Bro. Armstrong here, not everyone is IT oriented, instead of freaking complaining about how the class was... how about going to class and ask questions if you don't freaking understand, and do stuff before the deadline... This is one of the best classes that you can take, stress free and organized.
I'm an online student, so his campus classes may be different. That being said, he's a terrible online instructor. You teach yourself. I've specifically emailed him for feedback only to be ignored and vaguely answered through a class email he sends out every week. There's no feedback on quizzes or papers, so you have no idea where you went wrong.
Horrible Horrible experience. He is more worried about cheating than teaching. In fact he doesn't teach. He doesn't even participate in his class. No feed back. Does no honor the BYU learning model. Get your money back if you have him!!
I loved Brother Armstrong's class! I'm taking him again for 241. He really knows his stuff, and explains things so well in class. If you come to class, he will explain everything from the textbook in detail. He allows a good portion of class to be dedicated to answering any questions that you have. I would definitely recommend Brother Armstrong!
Brother Armstrong is one of the best teachers you could ever ask for! CIT241 is not hard at all.
One of the best teachers in the CIT department! I learned so much from him. It's an easy class.
He's a great teacher. I look into his class before taking it. Everyone swears he's awesome. I agree. Great class
I enjoyed his 241. Answers all your questions and gives you extra credit. Easy A
This is my second time taking the class. Took it the first time online because his classes are always full. Online sucks and always sucks but his class is amazing. I would avoid online like a plague! He gives extra credit. Easy A
Good class
Online horrible! So much easier to take from Bro. Armstrong. This time I actually enjoy 240. Good class
I'm a programmer. Not really into networking. Surprisingly I like Bro. Armstrong class. Thumbs up not a bad glass.
Terrific teacher! Just got a job offer from what I learned from this class!
Bro. Armstrong a good instructor. I was struggling at first but after visiting his office a few times it make sense. I did the extra credit now I'm getting an A.. I went from an F to an A after visiting with him a few times! Most teachers here don't care but Bro. Armstrong does!
Armstrong will shove down information down your throat. Be prepared to take fast notes, he will talk until his throat is so dry. I don't think he should be qualified as a teacher. If you're one of those students who learn through asking questions, taking notes, and interacting with the teacher, this class is not for you. Armstrong is a fast lecture
I really enjoyed this class. You would have to have a low IQ to not do well in his class. He answers any questions you have and gives you extra credit. One of the best teachers at BYU-I
Finally we've got a class that's hands on networking! This class is awesome with real equipment! Get your hands on routers, switches and phones. No tests just learning how to operate the equipment. This class help me a lot with my internship!
Always available in his office. Spent a lot of time answering my questions. Encouraged me in studying for certification tests. Explains difficult topics simply.
Starts every class by asking what we have questions about, then spends as much time needed to explain. If he covers the chapter and we are out of questions, he's not afraid to end class early. Very clear in lectures.
Great class . Hands on projects
He's super boring. Yes, he spends the first part of class answering student questions, but all he does is lecture and assume we all know what he's talking about. You're basically teaching yourself. There's A TON of dull reading every day too. The labs aren't always too bad, but they don't always prepare you for the weekly quizzes.
Great teacher
I didn't think I'd like Cisco. I like networking better than programming because of Bro. Armstrong.
Armstrong goes 80MPH talking about things you don't know. The real learning comes from not the textbook, but his powerpoints and tutors. He knows his class is hard and Extra Credit becomes SUPER necessary. His class, and material is difficult for newbies, go to tutoring. This class is manageable, but it moves fast and spikes in difficult subjects.
Wasn't sure I was going to like this class, but now I want to get my Cisco Certification.
Wonderful Teacher - Very Knowledgeable in Networking
He tries to accommodate all students
I like CIT240. He was accommodating with covid 19. He answered all my questions. I had the same class as the previous rating. I'm confused he was gone for a couple of days but not two weeks. He waved the final because of covid. Nice guy! I would take his class again.
Brother Armstrong gave a good lesson on cheating and lying how it will only hurt yourself. I'm glad a professor finally putting a stop to the cheating at BYUI.
Great class.
Good class. Hands on. You work with actual equipment.
Its hand on with real equipment. Different from the norm.
Another reviewer said it best when he said "Armstrong goes 80MPH talking about things you don't know." He's clearly a networking genius, but dang this class will hit like a truck from start to finish. Without a TA, this class would be impossible. If you ask questions he'll gladly explain it, but I rarely understood his explanations.
It's a good class. A lot of material in short time frame. I wish he was on campus. I was able to drop in at his office in the past to ask questions. He's a nice guy.
Enjoyed his class but he talks fast! Love the extra credit.
Bro. Armstrong is well known in the several major corporations. He's a good reference if you want to get hired in the industry. The only reason why I got two interviews was because I took classes from Bro. Armstrong. Several interview questions was what I learned from his classes. Also try to get as much certification in Cisco as you can.
Honestly not sure why he has such good reviews. He seems ready to retire and class is not as structured as it should be. Also impossible to contact him...
Really enjoy this class. It's hands on experience working with configuration. Highly recommend.
Hands on class. You learn how to do wireshark, and break wireless passwords. Configure wireless access points. Awesome class.
Like the class
This class is hard for me. I like how Bro. Armstrong gives extra credit. The extra credit not hard but helps me learn the concepts better. Even though it's been hard class I'm learning a lot unlike other classes I've taken in information systems.
Bro. Armstrong is kind and caring. Some of this material is difficult but Bro.Armstrong will help you through it. Overall I enjoyed his class and I needed the extra to help my grad.
Bro Armstrong makes an effort to explain the concepts in a simple way. He does talk fast but asking questions is always encouraged. The class is heavy and hard in itself so it is not his fault. He does not accept late work no matter what but offers A LOT of extra credit. I finished the semester with 102% and I missed all the final week assignments.
Project based, hands on activities. Great class! This class will help you with security networks. Really appreciate Bro. Armstrong.
Love this class. You get to work on networking equipment. Now I finally understand networks. Bro. Armstrong is a great teacher.
Some labs were a little confusing but he'll explain them or even let you submit an unfinished lab for full credit. He will care if you show up. He's always taking feedback on how to make the class better and more structured. This class is great since we learned more about security (Wireshark/Kali) than in any other actual "security" class.
Easy class but if you miss something even though you are dying in bed he will not accept your late homework (no kidding, real story) class was boring, he looks tired of teaching and he doesn't care about the students as long as he gets paid he will be there teaching somehow. be ready to work by yourself. An easy class just don't miss any homework.
Professor Armstrong is very knowledgeable in CIT-related classes. However, he is tired, cares very little about student's extenuating circumstances, and is not helpful when approached with questions - which challenges learners to understand for themselves completely alone. > Expect to be self-taught > Barely easier if CIT 240 was taken in-person
Enjoyed CIT240. Bro Armstrong knows his stuff. I needed the extra credit to get my grade up!
Hands on class. You work on real equipment. Love this class. It's all labs.
Grateful for Bro. Armstrong He's an excellent instructor. He gives extra credit so anyone can get an A if they want.
Great class network design. Work on real equipment. I like this class you finally get to your use knowledge to work on real equipment and set up networks.
Bro. Armstrong is awesome. He has extreme connections with several major corporations. He's help several of my friends find employment with great salaries. I love the classes he teaches.
Fun class. Real equipment. Finally get to enjoy creating networks.
...alright folks PROS: Knows networking forwards and backwards. Emphasizes need-to-know concepts. Has office hours for 1-on-1 meetings and an open lab to help students. CONS: ZERO-FLEXIBLITY/WILL NOT accept late work. NO TA. Not too compassionate. Office hours are early and lab is only 1 hour a week. OVERALL: Knowledgeable professor, no chill.
BYU Idaho needs a new networking professor. He knows a lot, but he does NOT explain things simply whatsoever, and doesn't work with students. The class isn't organized. Everyone keeps getting 12/20 on the tests, and he doesn't care or ask why. The quizes are trash. I'm convinced that he doesn't really care about his job or the students. 0 Energy.
Good class. Looking up other professor for next semester. Laughing at previous review. All the quizzes are worth more than 20 points so far. I'm guessing the review is from a jealous professor or student. I've had one professor try and guide me to not take Bro. Armstrong's class because he can't fill his classes. Armstrong classes are popular!
The extra credit is awesome! I didn't understand a few steps. The extra credit teaches you what you've missed. It's easy to get a 100 percent in the class with the extra credit.
Bradley is a good network engineer, but a bad professor. Unfortunately he is the only one to take the Networking classes from. He has absolutely no desire to work with students, is pretty dry, and is too lazy to make any updates or changes to his course.
"if I accept late work for you, i have to accept for others". only ever accommodating to female students. lectures irrelevant and scattered. busywork. he doesn't want to be there, and you likely won't either. a few extra credit assignments to make up for everyone near failing the class for no reason. still better than testout though
Great network engineer. However, needs to work on human interaction and education aspects of his job. It is really too bad this is the only professor to teach the networking classes here. This professor does not follow the BYU-I mission statement #1. Building testimonies of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and ...
The most frustrating thing about Armstrong is that it feels like he doesn't teach according to the homework. He will give an insanely dry lecture for about 45min - 1h 30min and you will feel no better prepared for the homework afterwards. He asks for questions often, but the way he handles answering these questions comes off as him being annoyed.
Armstrong is a little boring but overall is a great Professor. I'm finding Networking to be a little boring but definitely more interesting than Oracle. The only complaint I had is to be next to a 3 guys that are lazy whiners. Unfortunately you can't control who signs up for the same class.
Good class. My older brother took Bro. Armstrong class and told me I'll use his classes most in my career. My brother said he only got hired because he took networking classes from Armstrong. He's well known in the Networking industry. At times I struggled but the extra credit helped me.
I'm glad there's extra credit. Armstrong knows his stuff but talks to fast.
Class works together on real equipment. I hate text book reading. I'd rather work on Networking equipment. Super chill class.
Bro. Armstrong is a nice guy but a little boring. I think the class is difficult to be entertaining because it's Networking. There's a lot of book reading and memorizing. He's consistent with his schedule on quizzes and labs. I wish I'd done the extra credit but life crazy right now. Bro Armstrong better than most the professors in this department!
This is my favorite class Bro. Armstrong teaches. This class you work on equipment. I'm finally starting to understand it. Networking has been hard for me. This class has really helped me.
I heard that it wise to take this class before the cyber security 270. I'm glad I did!
Professor Armstrong knows networking inside out, though lectures can be dry. Attend class, use the free textbook, and consider Unstuckstudy for extra study support. Strict on deadlines but office hours and lab help available.
