Easy A if you do the lessons. I would recommend taking this course online if you can, for with Hamman's class you only get the 50 minutes to do the assignment but the whole day if taken online. Must show up to class to do the assignments, but lessons are outside class. Not a bad choice if you get him. Final isn't mandatory if passing.

Hamman's class is impossible to fail if you put in the effort. He offers A LOT of extra credit. This is a flipped class where you do the lessons at home and do the work in class but its all online. You have to go to class because assignments are password protected. He really does want everyone in his class to pass. Beware of Acesss and Excel units.

He gives out ton of extra credit and will help you with anything you are struggling with. The tests are easier than the work in class so you are over prepared which is so helpful.

Professor Hamman is great! He helps you fully understand the material and will respond in a timely manner to emails. Hamman gives a lot of extra credit throughout and towards the end of the semester. The class itself is not very hard just busy work with simnet. I loved this class and if you have the option I would take hamman!

Professor Hamman is awesome! Took his summer II class. He's highly knowledgeable, approachable and wants to help and see you succeed. Excel and Access can be overwhelming for nonusers - MUST do homework and assessments to prepare for the projects. Overall great class. I took this professor my Freshman year and I was a caveman on using computers. Throughout the class I learned many useful things and professor Hamman was a total GOAT!

Hamman is a nice guy, this class just requires A LOT of work needed to be done outside of class. If you don't do the lessons, you can't do the assignment in class. You're graded by points, so each assignment is so many points. As long as you do your lessons and homework, you'll do fine.

I love Hamman, but get ready for an unreal amount of homework. Tests were more difficult than the lessons. But, he is available in his office hours and Id 10/10 recommend going. Hes such a nice professor and made my first semester difficult but he made me way better prepared. Definitely a challenging course if you dont go to class.

I didn't take this course very seriously during the first units that covered word & powerpoint, and it almost ended up screwing up my final grade. If you have enough common sense to work a computer you should be fine. Do ALL the extra credit. Doing the extra credit in this course can take you from a C to an A with ease.

This class was time consuming and requires you to put effort in order to learn certain parts of office. Do all the extra credit because it does make up for lower grades you make on homework and lessons in class. He is understanding and tries to help out when he sees the class struggling.

Great professor. There is absolutely nothing that a student should complain about this class and professor. I mean everything is clear and organized and all what you have to do is do the work and you will be more than fine. Just show up, read the assignments on SIMNET before the class, and you got it!!! Definitely one of the best professors I have had. Though the summer semester was short, he did it brilliantly and make it easy as long as you do your work. He will also help you answer any questions you have-I asked him tons of questions during class time ans he answered all of them respectfully. Take him!!

Really good professor and will answer any question you have. Took him this summer and all assignments we did in class, no extra outside work. Every Friday was optional extra credit. Grading is very clear, uses the 100 point scale. He is a really nice guy. Go to class and do your work and it is an easy A.

Prof Hamman is my favorite professor at Texas State. He gives so much extra credit. I will be leaving the class with over a 100. He also loves talking to the class so sit in the front and talk to him. If you don't show up to class you miss out on the assignment and it'll knock your grade 30% for specific assignment. Hamman is pretty cool. I got an A in the class just from doing the homework. You have homework after 80% of the time but it's easy. Just do the lessons and you'll be fine, it'll help out a lot with the in-class assignments. There is one group project but if you have an A by the last 2 weeks you don't have to come to class or taker the final.

Great teacher, gives a lot of feedback as well as A LOT of extra credit. As long as you show up it is an easy A. Make sure if you need help with a subject matter to go to office hours and he will help to clarify what you need help with.

His class is very easy and straightforward if you take the time to do it right! Very homework heavy and they can be tough sometimes but you can always look in the book to help! Ngl when I saw the past reviews for prof Hamman I was scared. However, I thought he was great! He's is definitely not as bad as these reviews. It was a pretty straightforward class you had about 4 assignments a week and they were all due on Fridays. He offers a ton of extra credit, up to 2 whole letter grades that really come in handy.

Mr Hamman is a pretty good professor. The class and grading criteria are straight forward. There are a bunch of assignments, but as long as you do all of them you should be able to do well. The class is all computer based so having a professor there to help is nice but not at all needed for this class. There is substantial extra credit offered.

No textbook necessarily needed but must have a windows computer or time to go to the library to complete assignments. I took this class during the summer, so it was very fast paced. Participating in class helps you a lot and he provides many extra credit opportunities. Exams are not weighted heavily and you are able to retake them.

If you are seeing all the bad ratings for him, they're wrong. Professor Hamman is a really nice guy and his assignments are not even hard. There are a lot of assignments in his class, some are a bit harder than others, but it is very doable. Grading is really the only issue I have about his class cause it is by points, not what you have on canvas.

Honestly the best professor I've had for an online class. He created a group me with all of his online students where he would respond at all hours of the day. He has 25 extra credit points, given that there are only 100 total points for the class, is crazy. He even went as far as to round up my last two weeks of grades to a A's.

PICK BRADLEY HAMMAN. He is very respectful and can tell he cares about his students and their success. It is also an easy A+ if you complete the work. I've never really bothered to come on here and write a review for one of my classes until now, but I feel as it is very deserving of my time to recommend this class.

If you have to take a computer science class make sure you pick Bradley Hamman.

His class was honestly not bad. Prof Hamman helped me whenever my simnet messed up His grading is so simple; it's just based on the textbook. don't know how people were so confused about it. either way, I recommend the class. you just need to read the syllabus, read his canvas announcements and ask for help when stuck on an assignment. simple.

Professor Hamman is literally the best professor I have had at Texas State. I failed this course TWICE before taking Hamman's class, and I managed to get an A. He is so dedicated to his students and sets up his class in a way that is easy to understand. If you suck at computer classes, HE IS THE PROFESSOR YOU WANT! I cannot say enough great things!

Professor Hamman made this class so easy and since attendance wasn't mandatory, after people stopped showing up he would sometimes go through the homework assignments with the few of us that would show up. If the material confuses you don't be afraid to ask him questions, and as long as you stay on top of the assignments this class is a breeze.

I enjoyed Mr. Hamman's asynchronous course. He really wants you to succeed, and that's reflected in the copious amounts of extra credit he offers. He created a class GroupMe with himself in it which was convenient for asking questions. I would definitely take another class of his.

He was awesome! He made me love the class even though it was just about learning how to use Excel/Word/Access. There was about two to four assignments a week but he would go over most of them in class so all you had to do was do the "reading" outside of class. He was so flexible with grades and attendance as well.

There are around 3 assignments a week, but this class is mainly independent, Professor Hamman does post videos and provides solutions for people who are struggling. He cares about his student's grades and does what he can to make sure his students pass.

I've heard most of the CIS professors are very hard, and I am really horrible at computer stuff, but Mr. Hamman made everything very easy for us. He explained things thoroughly in class, attendance wasn't mandatory if you had all of your homework done for that class day, and he even did extra credit which boots your grade a lot. Please take him!

Most selfless professor I have had yet. I'm not going to lie and say it's an easy blow-off course because it's not. Do the textbook chapters before taking the pre-tests. The professor understands how demanding the course is and is willing to work with you. He offered over 35 points of just extra credit!! I ended with an above 100 average. TAKE HIM!

Extra credit is 25% of your grade in this class. This class was not easy, but if you study and do all of the sim net assignments you will be okay. The exams aren't weighted big in this class but are still important. Be ready for a challenge in this class. This class is extremely beneficial for after college. Overall great teacher.

Mr. Hamman offered many extra credit opportunities and test reviews that helped us learn concepts before exams! The exams themselves were challenging, but reasonable. If you completed the weekly tasks sometimes you wouldn't need to attend class. Also, if you accumulated enough points in the class you could opt out of the final exam.

This is the only class I've taken in college so far that I could clearly see how it could benefit me in my career. I liked Mr. Hamman a lot. He's easy to get in contact with, and he offers a lot of opportunities to boost your grade. Take him if you can.

LOTS of HW! The entire course is essentially taught online and he's there to help guide you. He gives good extra credit and nice due dates. He wants you to be successful in his class and achieve an 'A'.

This professor is amazing and makes sure his students do well. Always gives extra credit and helps students during the assignments. The class was very hard, but he set us up for success. Even though their is a ton of homework and this class was really hard, the professor is great. Very caring.

I liked him but it is really just doing the whole class on your own. He gave so much ec and I ended up with a 108 in the class from the ec. Try your best on the exams because it can help boost your grade so much. You do not have to go to class if you finish assignments early but overall really nice guy and I would take him again. 10/10

This class was time consuming and challenging. I dont like computer stuff so it just wasnt very interesting to me. However I had to take it for my major which I wasnt excited for. I took his hybrid course, and it was probably more difficult than in-person because there were no live lectures, just very long video lectures. I found those hard to pay attention to. In-person projects are random partner-based and tests are solo, which can be good or bad depending on the prep the class does beforehand. Offers a ton of extra cred!

He's kind of entitled, but all in all a super easy professor. For the exams, DO THE EXTRA CREDIT PREP. He expects you to call him Mr, which is annoying, but will help you if you need it. You can skip class if you do the work ahead of time. I would suggest him to anyone looking for an easy professor

This class is VERY difficult if you arent good with excel, powerpoint, etc. I would've dropped this class if i didnt have the help from other people. Although he is a relatively easy professor, it is the material that presents challenges. Easy class as long as you keep up with the assignments on simnet (McGraw Hill). You can tell that he just wants his students to pass. He will give you many opportunities to get your work in, often extending due dates. It is a lot of work, but not difficult work. You just need to keep up with your assignments or you will fall behind. If you fail this course it's on you because he gives many opportunities to get your grade up.

The best advice is to stay on top of assignments. While he does extend deadlines, it's better to complete them as they're assigned since they can take a while. I fell behind had a 55 close to the end. I came back thanks to the extensions/extra credit & the final. He genuinely wants students to do well. The material can be challenging but def useful

This class honestly isn't hard if you actually put in the effort. The assignments are a lot,but most of them really aren't that hard. The projects are hard, but he gives you so many chances to ask for help and videos to help with them. He also gives extra credit, which is really helpful, and can exempt you from taking the final if you get an A.

As long as you keep up with your work you will get an A. He does all the projects either in class or puts a video on canvas. And there was a lot of extra credit at the end. You could get a 75 on every single assignment including the 2 exams and still get an A. Would recommend.

Hamman is a good professor and the class is as said on the syllabus. Do your work and you'll get a A. Don't beat yourself up over trying to get a perfect 100 on each SimNet project/assignment because extra credit and a curve will be applied. I switched majors now but even if you're from a different major you will pass as long as you complete work.

The course itself can be very tedious but he does a good job helping students understand. If you maintain a good grade and don't have questions, class is optional. He provides plenty of extra credit and exam redo's so you shouldn't do badly unless you don't try. I found him pretty funny and understanding for his students. Take him, he's chill.

He is kind and understanding that this class can be pretty difficult, but he always explained how to do projects and assignments, and even sent out videos showing us exactly how to do them. The class covers a lot of material and the online homework/quizzes/exams can be really time consuming and tedious, but he goes out of his way to make sure students have what they need to succeed. Has a rule that if you get an 85 and greater on the assignments, you do not need to go to class, which is awesome. Tests are lowkey hard, but he allowed a retake of it once. Do the extra credit and it will help you a lot. Cool dude overall

class consisted of simnet assignments and projects which he goes over in class. In my experience there was a lot of learning outside the lectures but as long as you kept up with the homework it was not too difficult of a class. Just expect to be working a few hours a week on the homework. Lots of extra credit at the end also helps a lot.

Class is hybrid. McGraw Hill work assigned typically 6 a week (don't procrastinate they take a while to complete) but work is manageable. Exams are tough but he provides a lot of review material and helps if you ask questions. He doesn't provide extra credit if you don't show effort or only ask for help until the end of the semester. Pretty funny.

Overall not bad, he is funny but it can sometimes seem like he's talking to the class like you're stupid. He'd go over the assignments in class the day they're due. All assignments are online so t's a pretty self-taught course but you get multiple attempts on all assignments. Attendance isn't required but it is extra credit if you do go.

Pretty funny guy, cracks jokes every class. But there's tons of homework. Test are not that hard if you know the course material, personally I got a zero on my first one but replace by the final. So it is lowkey hard if you don't keep up.
