Needs more clarification on test review and topics. Overall one of the better SCM professors at Bauer.
Dr. Miller is a great professor! You can tell he's passionate about the subject and wants you to understand the material. This is a senior level class so you cant expect it to be super easy. But come to class, ask questions (he doesn't mind) and do a thorough job on the review. Two Class projects as well.
Great class lots of examples to help you understand the material. Never read the book and my lowest test grade was a 96. Pay attention and write notes on the slides, study the review for an A. His classes are not boring at all.
Easy class. Don't buy a book, tests come from lectures. May need the Memory Jogger though, it has formulas in it. Group and individual projects, 3 exams. Material is interesting and Miller teaches it well. Pay attention in class and take notes, and it will be an easy A.
class isn't easy. you really have to practice. do the homework problems in the book that he assigns (if you can get ahold of the pdf that can save you a boatload of money). he's an AWESOME prof - very understanding and very helpful - ask if you don't understand and he wants the class to do well - definitely recommend - and PRACTICE! PRACTICE!
I loved his class. It's not the easiest, but if you come to class, do the hw and study well, its fairly easy to make an A. No curves but the tests are very fair. He is really understanding and personable and his classes are actually interesting for such a mundane subject lol so yea, take him! He's great, one of the better profs at Bauer definitely
Dr. Miller is awesome. He's very enthusiastic about the subject he's teaching and he's got to be the nicest, most helpful, and most caring the professor I've ever had. You have to do you work and spreadsheet modeling isn't a walk in the park, but go to class (definite must), do the homework, and you'll be fine on the test.
Doesn't like answering questions and will refer you to Blackboard. However, he is a good teacher and has a passion for Lean/Quality.
He's very passionate, but you need to study HARD! I thought the tests were gonna be easy, but I was wrong! Both professors have the same test. no hw, attendance is not mandatory(but if you want to pass, GO TO CLASS) I skipped a lot and I got a 68 on a test
Productivity & Quality; This guy is a great teacher for this class. Probably one of my most favorite classes I have taken. His lectures are very interesting and he will keep you interested. There are a couple lectures that are boring but this is a class you want to attend. He's very clear on what's expected and you can easily make a B in this class
Overall very average professor. He does not know most things when you ask him questions and just tells you to ask the TA. Do not think he should teach introduction level courses. Tests are tricky.
I thought this class was super easy. I read the book and went to class only twice in the semester and got an A+
Grading System is horrible. Only 3 tests and that's all. No attendance grade and quizzes grade. It makes it hard to make an A in the class. Its not the easiest class. A is possible but you have to study!
He is my FAVORITE professor at U of H! 4330 is a modeling class so ya, you will have to use your brain lol He is very good at explaining/teaching and is very passionate about his job. He is always willing to help his students! This class has tests that are open note, but you have to study. It's not typical studying it's more so just practicing.
Dr. Miller is one of the best Professors at UH. He lectures very well, I was never bored in his class. In fact, I'm taking him again for ERP next semester. He is not too easy, you gotta do the work, but more important you really learn the material. Productivity and Quality Management class helped me embrace Lean mindset.
Not the greatest professor. Class should be easy but the tests are kind of random on the content. Take Wayhan if possible.
Dr. Miller is an excellent professor for both sections noted. He is very patient, and is quite thorough in his lectures. He has numerous activities designed to keep his class interesting, and he really understands the material.Overall if you put effort into the projects and go to class, getting an A will not be difficult, especially for 4380.
Dr. Millers a great professor who brings theory and concepts to life with real classroom examples that keep you entertained and help you learn better than any book. Take him you won't regret it I promise, I don't why the people below are complaining about not getting attendance points its college not high school
He's awesome! You don't need textbooks for exams in both 2 classes. Exam material comes all from his slides. SCM 4380's material is a bit dry though & be prepared for some time-consuming group assignments. SCM 4367 is the BEST SCM class I ever took! You'll learn A LOT useful information from this class so try no to skip it! I definitely love him!!!
Useful knowledge. He is a patience professor, he try to make his students understand well the concept. But his exam is really tricky. Even you study very hard, the content of exam have something not in his review. Need to read books. Getting A is not easy.
Miller is a peculiar guy. He rambles and rambles and constantly and holds us past time. His slides don't help much unless you go to class and even then you're more than likely to get lost. He says he won't trick you on the exam, but once you take it you get confused due to how he labels stuff and how detailed it is. This class boring and brutal.
So him in quality completely different from ERP. His quality class super easy tests but ERP is sooooooo detailed. Just be prepared to really study the specifics for his test. The rest is simulation which is ok if you have good team members.
Hands down to the best professor and best course at UH! You can really learn a lot from the course. 4 exams and exams score will be available 2-3 hours after you walk out of the class room! 1 fun and exciting process improvement project. Thank you Dr. Miller!
Miller is one of the best professors I've had at UH. He's a really nice guy and he's very enthusiastic about the material he's teaching which makes him teach it well. Tests are very easy as long as you study- test questions come straight from his powerpoints. Definitely take him if possible!
His system works, he is there for students however, tests include power points that you MUST memorize. You have quizzes on Pearson so those help to test you. Quizzes and GLM and test. That's all there is in this class. Easy class if you don't wait til the day before to study for exam! Def take him!
You can make an A if you really put in the effort and read the chapters and ppts. The exams covered about 4-5 chapters each. You have to buy the access codes to take the quizzes and do the homework. The class overall wasn't too difficult but it requires effort.
The best professor I've ever had!
He's the best! Very enthusiastic and respectful. He has a fair grading system that helps pushing up your grade if you just do the work. He simplifies lectures compared to the book. Practice problems on Pearson before quizzes. Review ppt and GLM for exams. Not hard but detailed. If you study, you will think it's easy. I got a high A.
The best teacher ever!
Dr. Miller is a great professor. He loves his job and his passion makes it more interesting for us to learn. This class is not hard. Just keep up with the powerpoint slides.
Dr. Miller was one of my favorite professors so far at UH. His class is efficiently structured and details are clearly laid out. He also has an interesting youtube channel for up to date SCM information. I look forward to having him again in other SCM classes.
To be honest, one of the best professors you could take at Bauer. Three tests and he gives a review. I messed around and didn't do too well on the first two but his grading scale makes it possible to do well even if you dont do well on the first few. Excellent lecturer and an even better person as a whole. Aproached him outside of class, super nice
The class was easy but the teacher has no mercy. I was .01 away from a letter grade and he didn't let me boost it. You get what you get in this class. Every .01 grade counts
Attendance is optional. 3 tests and online homework/quizzes. Professor actually cares about the students and has test reviews.
Take him! This professor teaches great, is passionate, his lectures are always well structured, and doesn't not bs with tricky random question on exams! He makes sure you understand the material. Of course you have to read the book, and his lectures will help u gain more knowledge about SCM. Advice: don't be slacker, study.
This professor is probably the best option for taking supply chain. His homework/quizzes online are pretty easy. The tests are mainly from his slides and just study them really well and you can get a B at least.
He is passionate about SCM. He is the best professor I ever had. He is clear solving problems. Gives plenty of material for test reviews. Take him!
Extremely passionate and respectful professor. He breaks down the material very clearly so everyone understands and is very patient with all students. This isn't the easiest class but his streamlined lectures and straightforward exams make it feel that way. Btw, don't buy the book. Just buy the pearson code and use slides for any studying.
Great professor; I love his energy and his enthusiasm for the subject! The class is hard, though. You must attend class and regularly study on your own as well, and you can earn an A!
He is very enthusiastic about his class which makes you want to learn more. If I studied more I could have easily gotten an A.
He's pretty cool but don't be fold. this class is 100% memorizing. if you've taken MANA its the same thing. made 46 on exam one and 88 on exam two and 78 in 3. you gotta keep up with the reading.
I went to class on the first day and never went back. I've made high A's on each exam. Memorization is key -- there is a ton of vocabulary to know. Study the powerpoints and do the review problems and you'll be fine.
Awesome professor! Miller always come in motivated and ready to go. He engages the class through surveys and in-class simulation. This class was slight work
Prof. Miller really loves his job; he almost managed to convince me to change to a scm major. He's super sweet and caring and will listen to you if you ever have questions about anything. The tests come straight from the ppts, no need to buy the textbook! Math calculations are EASY! Just memorization of definitions and understanding of concepts.
Not a super easy class, but if you do your work and study, you will do well. I liked this class so much that I decided to be a SCM major. I would take Miller again whenever possible. His lectures are interesting and he moves at a proper pace when going over calculations so the math is understandable.
Take Professor Miller if possible. His class can be quite interesting, I have been considering Supply Chain as a major due to this class. Class is very straight forward, requires time to understand the concepts. Not a hard course.
Dr. Miller is an amazing prof. Took this class cause it was a required business class, so supply chain isn't really my biggest interest. Nonetheless, very easy class. His class fills up quickly for a reason and it's due to his charisma and great desire to teach and help every single student get a good grade in the class.
Super easy class if you just show up or just review powerpoints on your own. Random attendance that is 5 points but class is actually interesting and worth the time. The math looks a lot more intimidating than it really is. Easy online assignments. Easy A
Miller is passionate and cares about his students. Exams are off the powerpoint, just study it. Attendance is optional however is part of your grade. Go to class, he explains the math parts. Fairly simple class overall, formula sheets for exams.
Amazing professor, he is the reason I'm a supply chain major. I greatly enjoyed his class and you will too! Attend all the lectures because the test questions come directly from his lectures and powerpoints.
Great professor! Interesting lectures & you learn a lot. Explains concepts well. Follow along in lecture & study the powerpoints for an easy A. 3 tests, HW, quizzes. You get all the formulas for the exam. His charisma and love for SCM may cause you to change to SCM, so if you're on the fence about becoming a Supply Chain major take him!
Super nice professor!! Really makes you enjoy the subject! Take good notes and do your assignments and you are guaranteed an A no doubt. One of my favorite classes I have taken at UH.
My favorite professor this semester, and one of my favorites at UH! He makes me love Supply Chain. Easy A if you attend class/follow along; he GIVES you the formulas on the tests! 3 words: Take. His. Class. :)
This is one of the best professor that Bauer has! He makes his lectures fun and he's always caring about his students. Sometimes I thought about changing my major to Supply Chain because of Dr. Miller.
Professor Miller has such amazing and enthusiastic lectures. I loved going to class and it has been my favorite class so far. Please take his class! It made me consider Supply Chain as my major. I'm not going to pursue Supply Chain now, but I am considering getting my Master's in Supply Chain Management because of this class. 12/10 recommend.
Best supply chain profesor out there. He does an amazing job at explaining the topic and his lectures are actually interesting. He loves interacting with students and makes sure no one leaves with a doubt. Please take him if you have the chance to!!!
Dr. Miller is a phenomenal professor and the best teacher I've ever had. His lectures are so interesting and engaging that you'll love coming to class! He explains topics very well and gives you all the necessary materials to be successful in his class. He is one of the reasons why I chose Supply Chain as my major. Take his class!
I LOVE Dr. Miller so much!!! He truly cares for his students and will clear out his schedule to make time to meet with you. His lectures are awesome and you can tell his so passionate about the material. The project was a lot of work, but I learned a lot from it. He is a valuable asset to Bauer and SCM!
Dr. Miller is an exceptional professor. He clearly loves supply chain management and is great at communicating its principles to students. He is well respected for good reason. I highly recommend him and his class. BE SURE YOU ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE. You'll want to anyways so don't worry.
Professor Miller is so sweet and caring. Supply chain is his passion and you can see how much he cares about it and his students. He makes exams easy and tries his best to help his students get the highest grades possible. Study the power points and review before the exams and you will get A's. Class isn't required, but I love his lectures so I go.
Despite not having the absolute most interesting of topics, he really does show enthusiasm and care for his class. Pay attention in class and you'll be fine.
COVID: He uploads all lectures and you watch on ur own time. The quizzes are math and specific questions from the video like what brand was mentioned. The exams are easy and not on lockdown. Word for word from the power point, don't study its easy. for the math questions, watch the review vid and ur set. its HARD to make anything but an A.
Professor Miller is the best professor for SCM 3301. I took his class online, and everything was very organized and accessible. There are three tests along with quizzes and modules. Easy A.
During the Covid semester, the online course was easy to manage and is self paced! He posts helpful reviews and good lectures !He is one of the best professors to take online.
Professor Miller is easily the best professor I've ever had. His lectures are so engaging and interesting. I took him online, but I wish I could've taken him in person. There's weekly quizzes, 2 tests, and a couple assignments, but if you watch the lectures and do the readings it's easy. You have to put in the work, but if you do it's not hard!
Good Prof, very good at reminding student of deadlines. Take him if you can
Great class to take online during quarantine, easy A, super asynchronous. All assignments are due Fridays before exams so you can plan ahead and exams are all on notes and hws/quizzes no way you won't do well. Miller is also a great professor I loved his lectures and how much he loved SCM he really tries his best to make you an SCM major too
This class is an easy GPA booster, no reason why you shouldn't make an A in it. Assignments known as GLM's are done through myOM through Pearson and are opened ahead of time. 6 quizzes of 20 questions each are required throughout the semester and every 2 are opened a month before each exam. 3 exams as well, all MC. Miller is amazing and respected.
Prof. Miller is knowledgeable and experienced. His lectures are relevant and helpful. He loves what he does and puts a lot of effort in the class. The math is not that hard - he explains it well. One little complaint is about the prevalent promotion of the SCM major - I am sure it is a great one, but sometimes I feel like it takes too much time!
This is an super easy A class. You can look up hw online. The only thing you need to pay attention is that he uploads a lot of videos for each chapter. Please make sure you watch all of them as they'll appear in the quizzes and tests. No final, only 3 tests.
I would recommend taking him! he is one of the best professors i have had at bauer. he is very passionate about what he does and cares for his students. this course consists of 3 tests, homework on pearson (if you make an 80 he rounds it up to a 100), and 6 quizzes that are open book. easy a
WE had a about 6 quizzes this semester and only a few assignments online. Along with our 3 exams of course, but it was laid out so easily. You had about a month to finish each set of homework and quiz and the tests were just as his review lectures were. Nothing about this class is difficult and i think that is because Professor Miller was so good.
Great Professor! Lectures were super easy to follow and he does a great job explaining the course work. There were 3 exams, 6 quizzes, and 12 GLM assignments which were really easy. Pay attention to the lectures and you will be fine.
I love this guy. Super kind and super passionate about SCM. Books for the class aren't cheap but you actually use them and you can find them used for a total of $40ish. Highly recommended prof and class.
I am the only one who has given a bad rating, I am also the only one who has had in person and not through COVID. Very nice guy, he also expects you to listen to study from a very BROAD study guide and watch 10+ hours of his past lectures from YouTube videos. does not give any insight of how the test is formatted. RIP to your social life
Lectures are online, can be lengthy. Test are thru blackboard. Overall decent class need to study a bit.
Excellent professor. He cares deeply for his subject and his students. He's kind and extremely knowledgeable. He explains foreign concepts well. The class was great. My only complaint is the optional videos were extremely long (thankfully I can understand him at up to 5x speed). Highly recommended class and professor. Everyone likes him.
Easily one of the best professors at UH; funny, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable. He breaks down complex topics in an understandable way. Highly recommend attending class, you will actually learn a lot! The only critique is that exam 2 is quite difficult, even if you study/cover everything.
Easy class! You have 2 test and then a final, they are easy and not on lockdown browser. There are 6 quizzes, which are easy A's. There's 12 assignments on MyOMLab which are just easy 100 grades. Take this professor, I highly recommend!
This man was so passionate about SCM, it almost made me want to switch majors. He will post lecture videos on YouTube, and have quizzes and exams due at certain times which he will remind you of. You will have 3 exams, GLM assignments (Super easy) and a couple quizzes. Exams are not on Lockdown Browser, so it's much easier to get a decent grade.
The goat
LOVE THIS PROF!! For this class, you definitely need to study for tests/quizzes. He provides so much material that helps you with this class, including powerpoints, video lectures (YOU NEED TO WATCH), and practice problems. Not an easy class, but it is not difficult if you study. I'm not a SCM major but this class made me learn so much about it.
He is an amazing professor; course is quite easy. He opens up all of the homework at the beginning of the semester. Watch the lectures prior to test! You should definitely consider taking the course! If you procrastinate, watch his lectures a day prior to the test then you will be prepared!
Attendance was mandatory and 27% of grade for in class activities. Fairly simple material. Lots of online lecture material even though mandatory attendance. Tests not too hard. A Quiz every week except during the 2 test weeks. Fairly easy, but time consuming. Professor can be pretty funny if you catch his humor
Professor Miller is amazing. He actually explains how to work out problems in his online videos. Due dates are reasonable and the material is interesting to read. In addition, he provides more than enough learning materials to help you understand each topic. I definitely recommend!
guided learning modules which are very easy need an 80% or higher for it to be counted as a 100 its nearly impossible for you to get anything lower than a 100. 3 exams on lockdown no camera a lot of the questions come from the quizzes. 6 quizzes which are mainly easy with common sense questions. awards you 3 free 100s if exam is taken uninterrupted
Dr. Miller is hands down the best professor of SCM here at Bauer. Although his lectures are mandatory and make up a significant portion of your grade, they are fun to attend, as Professor Miller goes out of his way to engage the class during lecture. Besides attendance, there are two tests which aren't bad if you study, and quizzes given every week
Attendance is graded. Most days are hands-on activities that you cannot be bored with. Grade is based on attendance, 2 exams, and a weekly quiz based on online videos/readings. The "memory jogger" textbooks are a must have and I can definitely see these little books being useful even after graduation. He is nice, sometimes gets a little anxious.
I took SCM3301 with Bradley Miller & Dale Tibodeau & the classwork was very easy and manageable. The course load was not hefty, every week there are Pearson assignments due but doesn't take more than 5 minutes, 3 exams. I enjoyed this class bc it was a breeze to get through vs my other classes, this one by far being the non-stressful one. Take him.
The professor's lecture videos are very helpful in understanding the material. Homework was very easy. Quizzes and tests were too if you watched lecture videos. This class is very easy if you watch videos.
Oh, brother... This is how introductory classes should be taught. Prof. Miller understands that every business student has to take this class regardless of major. He makes it easy for those that just need the credit to get an A and those who want to actually learn will do so. His course is very informative and straightforward. TAKE HIM!
Take him!! Really easy class did not study at all
His lectures were informative and was clear. The exams were a bit hard but that's normal. Liked his teaching style.
This class was very easy to follow, and even though the posted lectures were pretty long they were still informative and the practice problems (calculations) were similar to the ones on the exam. I did not prioritize this class, so I didn't do as well as I had hoped. The exams are pretty tough, especially the last one.
Professor does care about his students. Sending out reminder emails on a frequent basis, even more often than my boyfriend. So if you miss the deadlines, you're such a disappointment. Tests are easy, read the slides and do practice problems, and you will be fine. There are homework and quizzes, easy but long, don't wait until the last minute.
I would definitely recommend this professor! This is an easy A, and if you don't then maybe it's you as a person and not the class. There are about 3 exams which is very straight forward. TAKE HIM!
Great professor! Lectures are long but super easy to understand (you can put speed in 2x anyways). You can tell he really wants his students to succeed. About 2 quizzes per unit and 3 exams. Breaks down material extremely well and is very understanding of students' personal problems. Would definitely take him again! Hard to fail his class
Work due about every 2 weeks. Just watch the lectures and you will be fine. Super easy quizes. Lecutres are about 1hr and you have about 2-4 every 2 weeks lectures are easy to follow and very informative. He explains everything in a simple way. Will 100 percent take again.
This was a fully online course and I will go as far as to say that he was my favorite professor to take. I am trying to major in finance but after taking Mr. Miller I am genuinely curious about taking more supply chain classes. Additionally, the lectures were set up in a way where you could learn the material nicely and slowly. Take him!!
One of the best professors I've taken. A genuinely interesting professor who cares a lot about his job and wants students to pursue a major or take interest in SCM. Definitely take this professor!
Dr. Miller is amazing! I really enjoyed his lectures, even if they were early in the morning! He does activities in all classes, which keep things interesting and apply the concepts in real life. I also liked how thorough he is, and you can tell that he cares so much about the course. His enthusiasm is so refreshing!
I would recommend this class to anyone who wants a smooth semester. This professor is very passionate about SCM and you can tell by the extra work he puts in and sends email about upcoming events or meeting for SCM. Overall, this class was great. The only problem for me with this class was paying for the online workbook which was VERY EXPENSIVE!!!
Easy class, choked the A because I forgot to do a quiz.
Online is the best option, get ready to watch long lecture videos that have some math and concepts you have to understand. He explains concepts in depth so the videos can get long. Divides the semester up to 3 sections with the each section having a 2 quizzes and last day of that section with an exam over al the videos in the section, Overal EZ A
Take this professor!!!!! The class are easy and the exams are exactly the same to his reviews, just different numbers. His lectures are a bit long but you can literally pass the class just by watching his exam review videos. Easy A!
Dr. Miller is great! Just finished my SCM3301 course and I am confident I got an A. The lectures were somewhat long, but he took the time to explain everything and provide examples to get you ready for the test. Please take! Will not regret it.
Great professor, and very passionate. However, mandatory attendance and you have to watch additional lectures to prepare for the exams.
Take him, he is the only choice for this Fundamentals. He makes the class easier. Just read the syllabus and everything is straightforward.
Took this class in Fall 2022, 9 quizzes (drop 1 lowest), 12 SmartBooks you only need to make an 80% to get 100% for the assignment (drop 1 lowest), and 3 exams in lockdown. The class is extremely straightforward as long as you keep up and not be lazy. Highly recommend you take it online though.
One of the easiest classes I've taken at UH. The class consists of 6 open-book quizzes, 3 exams, and homework. Exams are on Lockdown with no camera. Overall, easy A and nice professor!
Great professor. Took this class online and by his lectures I can tell he's very passionate about the subject. Exams and assignments weren't hard at all, just study and it should be an easy A.
So I had to take this class online and usually I wouldn't say I like online classes because of the recorded lectures but this has been the best online class I have ever taken. You can tell that Professor Miller has a passion for supply chain management and I would 100% recommend taking his class, you won't regret it!
Prof Miller is very passionate about his job, you can tell he enjoys teaching bc he makes it fun&enjoyable for his students. I really enjoyed his class, I even considered changing to SCM. His lectures are great, kind of long, but you wont be bored. He makes sure to make the lectures fun&informative! Great teacher, UH needs more professors like him!
I loved this class, the professor obviously loves what he is doing and it makes the class a breeze. Lectures are posted online with powerpoints and study material for each exam. All the exam material is in the lectures, so watch them. The professor is engaging in the lecture videos, so they are really easy to get through
Great intro to SCM with a professor who's very passionate about the field. Not too easy, not too difficult, and teaches you exactly what you need to know without any unnecessary fluff.
Not a bad class but beware of time management, specifically for exams. He gives us a whole 5 hours for quizzes but for exams it's only 75 minutes. This is a computational & conceptual course, so we need more time to actually answer questions... this ruined the learning experience for me. Overall he's a good professor but should be more considerate.
Dr. Miller is really an awesome professor, he loves what he does and it shows throughout the quality of his work (sometimes a little too much, he would over explain and some students including myself would get annoyed/confused). You'll need to keep up with the online material to understand what's going on in the course, going to class isn't enough.
Very easy to take online. Exams are LDB but no webcam. Quizzes are open notes. There's a lot of math but most concepts are learned from previous classes.
Miller was an amazing professor. His quizzes and tests are only over his lecture videos (so pay attention and take notes) however you DO NOT need the book. He gives 4 hours to complete his quizzes that consist of 20 questions, however his tests are only 75 minutes long. Overall great class and easy A.
Amazing professor. Know the math and you'll be fine and don't get behind
PLEASE TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!! I really enjoyed this class. I joined the class a week late so I was a little bit behind (so enroll in the class). His lectures are AMAZING from seeing alumni working in SCM to jobs in companies that you can work with under Supply Chain. I was indecisive about which major to go into but this is definitely one of them.
Don't think; just take him. Professor Miller is the absolute best. I took him online for SCM 1301, he has lecture videos that are easy to understand, though they are a little long. Not too many grades overall and most are really easy. Its clear that he is very passionate about Supply Chain and without him I wouldnt've considered making it my major
Every business major should take Bradley Miller. He is so passionate about the supply chain that he will have you rethinking your major choice. No need to read the textbook everything on the test is gone over in 4-6 1 hr lectures.
Everything that Professor Miller assigns is easy to manage. Class is consisted of homework assignments for each chapter, 6 quizzes, and 3 exams, which are all straightforward to achieve a top grade. Math concepts may look a bit tricky, but Miller does such a good job at explaining each topic. Definitely take him and don't think twice about it!
Great prof! Easy exams except math questions can be tricky so make sure to study beforehand. Otherwise, easy A!
Good professor for SCM! The grading, courses lecture and decent time he gave for students to completing their work. Everything is amazing. Professor Miller, also gave students a bunch of extra credit to help them succeed the courses and found their enthusiasm in Supply Chain.
Easy Exams and HW. Be sure to study the math questions, as they will be the most difficult thing about this class. Take this professor, you won't regret it.
If you're just taking it for the credit and don't care, easy 100; all quizzes and tests are un-proctored and no camera. Otherwise, in his recorded lectures, he's enthusiastic, explains everything very thoroughly, and provides study guides for the exams and explanation videos for those study guides. He gives a WEEK to complete easy assignments.
the async lectures are long but everything on the quizzes / exams are in the lectures. three exams (not cumulative!) with biweekly quizzes due. the prof is super passionate about supply chain management, so it makes the lectures more interesting to watch imo. everything else is super straight-forward, and it isn't hard at all!
Because it's a core requirement, its a no brainer to take this guy! He's very passionate and keeps you in the know about all things Supply Chain. The class is very friendly in terms of getting assignments done and the workload being very manageable, only the test are open for a day and are lockdown, no camera.
Lecture videos are very thorough and all you need to study. Don't forget to look over math problems, he gives many practice problems and video explainations.
Each exam has about 5-6 lecture videos covering them. They do take a while to get through, but he does cover everything that is on the exam! The only thing I was annoyed at was the amount of times they advertised majoring in supply chain. (EVERY lecture).
Great professor and really easy class! Would definitely take again.
This professor is amazing! His lectures are super engaging, and he really knows his stuff. The math can be tricky, but use tools like Unstuck ai to stay on top of it. Definitely take this class if you're interested in supply chain.
For an online class, I am very impressed with the online lectures. I was able to learn a lot in the class.
Wonderful professor, very good at explaining things in a way that makes sense. He opens the whole new module after each test, so it is easy to get ahead if you want to.
Please do not take him if u want to pass. He has completely changed his course and everything is LDB + Webcam. Tests are very hard and only 75mins. If u want to pass, take someone else.
I took him because everyone said he was nice about his tests but he completely reworked his class and now hes like super paranoid about cheating. All his tests use LDB and webcam. Recently he sent the class an email that said "suspicious eye movement" would reject your test submission... take that as you will. Not a hard class just watch the videos
he changed up the class so now it's much stricter & harder. his lectures are long & he talks a lot about why you should major in supply chain. the exams are 40 questions and proctored. he sent out an email saying we weren't allowed to move our eyes around and u cant use a handheld calculator on the exams; must use the online one on lockdown browser
I am actually so upset because I always try my best on his exams but still manage to do bad even when I study my hardest weeks prior. If you find it hard memorizing terms this class is not for you.
Super test heavy. Lockdown browser, no resources or eye movement allowed. No curves, extra credit or any assistance. Not cooperative or caring in regards to emailing about issues. Do not recommend unless you enjoy spending several hours a week memorizing supply chain concepts by watching excessively long videos
if you want to fail, this course is for you, with many lectures to watch and too much to memorize this was pretty hard for me at least.
I chose this class because he had good reviews but this semester he changed his whole class. Tests are with lockdown browser and webcam, he even says any slight eye movement might flag your test as suspicious?? He is really strict and refuses to curve or replace lowest test grade compared to others. Lectures are very hard to follow too.
Professor makes class overly difficult. Very strict, very long lectures, no extra credits whatsoever, nothing you can do to help you bump up your grades or protect you from failing. And not to mention if you do bad one 1 of your tests and 100% on everything else. Say goodbye to having an A in the class!
I do not think this class was as hard as some make it seem. There are a lot of lecture videos and they are long BUT they are super informational and make you succeed on the test. Watch the videos and PowerPoints and you will be fine. The LDB is not bad at all, he put concept questions first. I think this course solidified that I want to pursue SCM.
Prof decided to add lockdown browser for no reason and spams emails about his supply chain organization instead of worrying about his class. He needs to pick up some new hobbies or something cause he's got way too much spare time on his hands.
Ignore the negative reviews. This class is easy if you watch the videos. Each exam covers 6 lectures,1 to 1.5 hours each, and you get 3 to 4 weeks to watch them. You can speed them up, and the professor explains everything clearly. I never took notes and still did well. Just stay on schedule. People complaining don't realize they're in college.
Highly recommend taking this class! Dr. Miller is very passionate about supply chain and his lectures are very intriguing. As long as you set time aside to study the math and concepts, this class will be very easy. Simple course and very straightforward, all you have to do is follow directions and balance your time.
This was the first online class where I truly felt like I learned a lot—it felt like an in-person course. He is very passionate about SCM! The professor is clear about grading and even offers free 100s just for completing assignments. The class is straightforward, and if you put in the effort, you'll pass. Some students just expected easy A's.
3 exams formatted with 40 MCQ each 75 minutes and all non-cumulative. Gives a ton of resources and information about Supply Chain and what UH offers every week. Reminds everyone on whats due and any important information you need to know for any assignments. Highly recommend for SCM3301!
I am not going to lie, the lecture videos are LONG (online course). But they are very informative so make sure you set time aside for this course. Professor is great at explaining concepts and provides a lot of exam practice problems. The weights of the exams are heavy though so be sure to study before exams since tests are large percent of grades!
The tests are weighed heavily in the course grade total, so be careful because one bad exam will make it difficult to recover. Because of this, you need to watch the lecture videos and do exam practice problems.
Do not take this class lightly. Exams are lockdown browser with camera and he structures them so during conceptuals, you don't move your eyes outside the screen. I took this at the same time as FINA 3332 and I swear I spent more time studying for these exams. Each lecture is 2 hours long and there are 6 lectures per exam so get ready to take notes.
great class, you have some assignments due every week or so but easy. The tests are webcam and lockdown but easy to pass if you watch the video lectures to study, his math in the lecture is exactly same on the test, he spams emails so thats kinda annoying but he has very positive energy.
Easy class. Most assignments were on Pearson MyLab and canvas quizzes (not lockdown). 3 exams and all of them used lockdown. He got a bit crazy after the 1st exam, not allowing us to move our heads/eyes from the screen until the last 4th of the exam. It was annoying but he restricted the math section until the end. Overall the class was easy/chill
The people who complained this semester are weird. Professor Miller is passionate about SCM. His lecture videos are long because he gives a lot of examples and is detailed in his explanation of concepts. The lockdown thing was a bit annoying but it is what it is. The videos and reviews will save you. Don't skip the hw! Math is easy just tedious.
took him spring 2025, and he made the course a LOT harder than necessary this semester. it was supposed to be an easy A, but even though I watched the lectures (which he did well explaining), the tests were extremely difficult. unless u study like crazy (flashcards, practice problems, etc.), don't expect an A. also very unhelpful and lacks empathy
This professor made me want to cry every time I took test for his class. Do not take him please for the love of God.
I love his class. It was super easy. If you study well and doing practice problems, you should get easy A. The quizzes are exactly like the exam. His lectures were really easy to understand. I would definitely take him again in the future.
just want to warn anyone signing up for his class. dont do it. worst professor ever there is no way there should be this much stuff on an exam for AN INTRO CLASS. mind you exams are at casa.... if anything this class made me never ever ever consider being a supply chain major
Took this online, so it makes you buy a webcam for the exams. Everything in this class is easy if you watch the lectures and understand them. They are veryyyy long, so it gets boring but not difficult. If you hate lectures, do not take this. If you do not mind, then this is an easy class.
Professor Miller is good professor. He provides lecture video that will help you understand the material better. But be careful because his tests are almost 80% of your final grade so if you put in the work and study, you should be fine. He also provides many resources about Supply Chain opportunities and materials to help prepare for the exam.
Class was easy. Took the online class but casa exam (was shocked that exams were at casa but not a problem) Lectures are video recordings, avg 1-2 hours. Exams are straightforward, if you watch the recording & take notes (as if you're ftf) you'll do great. 100% recommend. Flexible, homework, quizzes every now and then, 1 extra credit, learned a lot
He is a nice professor, but nice doesn't mean easy. For an INTRODUCTION course, it was hell. The exams were worth like 80% of your grade so even if you do well on other assignments (easy) they don't really help boost your grade. You have to study like crazy. The exam questions are like his quizzes. Don't recommend unless he is the only option.
This class is pretty easy, all you have to do is watch the lecture videos to do well on the exams. His exams are just like the practice he gives out, the homework is pretty easy too as its mostly a completion grade.
He's genuinely nice, but the course itself is far from easy. For an introductory class, it was pretty intense. Since the exams make up most of your grade, the smaller assignments don't do much to lift your score. Be prepared to study heavily, his exams follow the same style as his quizzes. I wouldn't recommend the class
LONG VIDEO LECTURES THAT MAKE YOU FALL ASLEEP. EXAMS 30% which is hard to recover If don't do hot on the first one.
This is an online class where you have to watch around 6 videos for the 3 exams. The lectures can get boring, but you need them to do well on the tests. The homework is easy, and you have a lot of time to do the assignments. You can tell that Miller cares a lot about Supply Chain, and that's good if you're an SCM major. It's not hard if you study.
Hes okay that's really all i can say he seems and acts nice but its a facade not gonna lie. That being said the material is fun and easy to learn so if you just study in advance you'll be okay. Two exams (28.75 each) and showing up to lectures is worth 30% with weekly quizzes being the final 12.5.
Dr. Miller is a great professor with a well-structured class. Minimal assignments, open-book quizzes about twice a month, and 3 non-cumulative, straightforward casa exams. All test material comes directly from his lecture slides and videos. Sure lectures are long but they're actually very engaging, just don't cram.
Class was incredibly hard, way too much material. Their being only 3 tests sounds good, but they are 40+ questions, and if you mess up on one, you're screwed for the semester. Find other professors if you can.
Lectures are really long but they are really informative and quite interesting. You will have CASA test but he literally sets you up for success by giving you a study guide and math practice problems.
Great professor! The lectures are very long (1 hr min.), but informative. No textbook required, just watch the lectures! (the questions will come from the lectures) The exams are in person in CASA, but he literally provides a study guide & test review lecture which were both extremely helpful. You also have two weeks to complete HW. I enjoyed it!
