The tests are very difficult. He tells you how to study and gives you a study guide but I could not get above a C on his tests. Luckily, he gives lots of extra credit which bumped me up to a B.
Dr. Wesner is a super nice guy, just a tough class. He gives out an overview of the exam and tells you "what to know" but also tells you to know what he says inside and out. Read the book before you go to class and you will understand the material better. In class examples are test questions. Extra credit is given at random times so go to class!
Avoid him! Made it unnecessarily hard, & questions are designed make you question yourself. I read, watched the lectures & understood the material, but his "application" questions were ridiculous. He gives extra credit, but only when he feels like it. He banned the use of groups, and asked the class to sell him out to get 10 points. Hated it!
I had Dr. Wesner for a online section. Management 309 is a tough class to begin with but Dr. Wesner made the class very enjoyable. I never met him face to face but I felt like I knew him on a personal level. he truly wants his students to succeed and goes out of his way to ensure it. I cant say enough about him. I would definitely recommend him!
Online summer class. Never met in person, but seems like a nice guy who cares about his students. Insanely challenging class though. Banned groupme, and test questions will seriously mess with your head. Does some extra credit, but nothing big. Uses ProctorU. Dont take with other challenging classes or during a busy summer. Nice guy though.
As others have noted, his tests are ridiculously hard, almost unnecessarily. He provides video lectures that round out from 2-5 minutes a piece for each section of the chapters assigned in the textbook. I didn't find his videos to be particularly helpful without reading the text, which was incredibly dense and hard to get through at times.
One of the worst professors I've taken. It's a massive headache to keep track of all of the assignments to do, across 3 platforms that you have to pay for access to each. The tests are incredibly hard and sometimes include material that was never directly covered. Keeping track of your grade is IMPOSSIBLE because there are weird point structures.
Dr. Wesner seems like a nice guy but I would avoid taking him for MGMT 309 at all costs. His tests are extremely difficult and ambiguous. I would complete the readings and homework and understand the concepts, but be blindsided by the difficulty of the tests. This is the only format offered at A&M so I would try to transfer it in if I were you.
Worst professor at Texas A&M. Every bad comment from others on here is correct. His syllabus is wrong and we took exam 3 and are a couple weeks from the final and he refuses to answer my email regarding incorrect chapters listed for exam 3 and 4. Does that mean he had us study incorrect information for exam 3? If he ever emails back I guess we'llse
Avoid taking MGMT 309 until Wesner is no longer the professor at all costs. Students have cheated in previous years and he has a personal vendetta against all MGMT students now and purposefully makes the tests as convoluted as possible, making sure to completely change them each time, in order to hopefully catch a cheater.
The professor seems like he is a caring guy, and he seems like he'd be a good friend outside of school, but he's not good as a professor. The class is you reading and watching videos, then him making questions that don't relate to either of those. The information is not hard, him asking questions that don't relate to what is learned is hard.
Dr. Wesner is a very nice guy. He's very kind and great to have a conversation with. However, I think that he really needs to take a look at his tests and recalculate because they're much more difficult than is necessary. The material is interesting. The tests are unreasonably difficult. Try to avoid taking it with him.
With all of the bad reviews I hope mine still helps. Dr. Wesner isn't as bad as they're making him seem - seriously. He really cares and will help in any way he can and is a super nice guy. If you read, study in advance, keep up with homework and really try, it's fine. I made a C due to personal reasons but the class isn't bad.
Dr. Wesner is a great teacher, he cares about his students but his exams are tough, so be sure to read the textbook and listen to his lectures in detail. He'll use examples and a lot of application on tests so be creative with how you remember terminology.

Dr. Wesner is a good person, but not a good professor. The test questions are ridiculously challenging and do not test your actual knowledge in the course at all. He also mentioned his Facebook in an email, where you can publicly see his very unprofessional rants about his class's faults being due to his "cheating" students.
Exams were tough. To prepare, I read the chapters, watched lectures, and used the study guide. Even then I was able to scrape out a B due to extra credit, but we shouldn't have to depend on that to get by. I learned the most from lectures and discussions, but these didn't help all too much for the exams. Wesner can be petty, but overall alright.
Dr. Wesner was the most amazing teacher I have EVER had at Mays. His lectures always came with stories, he was caring and accessible after class, and made it a point to get to know his students. I would take this class 1000x times if I could
I have't finished the class for this semester but I can already say Dr. Wesner is the most caring professor I have ever had. The class is tough but Dr. Wesner communicates well and offeres substantial extra credit, if you study hard and put in effort youll be fine. I dont know why he has low ratings, he does not try and trick or catch anyone.
Dr. Wesner is the best prof I've had at TAMU! He is very caring and wants the best for his students. The class is time consuming, lots of reading but if you have questions about anything Wesner is very helpful. He has offered plenty of extra credit so as long as you put forth effort you should be fine. He is not trying to trick you on the exam.
Exams are hard to do well on. I watched lectures and took detailed notes. Didnt read textbook. But curved every exam and gave us so much extra credit it was enough to bump a whole letter grade (80 to 90).
This is one of the easier mays classes I have had to take. Besides the fact that this professor does nothing for his students throughout the entire class, if you do your week it should be a very easy good grade. I missed one of our four online tests and still ended up getting a B in the class. Easy class, terrible professor.
Dr. Wesner was absolutely the best professor I've ever had. The class is tough, but only because the material is difficult. He gave many options for extra credit so with some effort an A is attainable. Just read the book and listen to his lectures. He really wanted all of us to succeed in his class.
Professor Wesner is great! This is a challenging class, but he works with students so well. A lot of things are done on your own time like the lectures and quizzes. Tests are difficult, but he does give extra credit and points back on tests/quizzes. His love for his students is so evident and he really wants everyone to learn and grow!!
He is the greatest professor I've had yet. He was so kind and did everything to make sure we would pass because he knew how hard mgmt 309 was. He gives you a study guide which is literally your bestfriend. I could have received an A had I put In more time. GOAT

Dr. Wesner was the most amazing professor Ive had at A&M. Because of the covid craziness, the class was moved online & he helped us adjust in any way he could. There were weekly quizzes over each chapter, but theyre fairly easy and great grade-boosters. The tests were not that hard if you use his reviews. Lots of xtra credit opportunities.
He is an amazing person but not at all a good professor. His tests are way harder than they should be all said and done with class averages of around a high 60 to low 70. Claims to help students once they realize they are doing bad but all he does is parrot the main concepts of each chapter and essentially blame the students for lack of effort
Took his class online over summer and he was amazing! Truly a sweet man who wants the best for his students. Tests can be challenging but its very do able! Videos are easily to follow, he offers extra credit, and the quizzes are not bad. I loved being in a group me with him and the rest of the class too!!
He is a great guy and truly cares about his students. You will definitely have to read, but he will give you some points back on the exams. Don't ask for any extra points at the end of the term because he won't give them to you.
Wow, that's all I can say. Not only is this a fascinating class, but Dr. Wesner is now my all time favorite professor I've had. He really tries to answer any and all questions in our class GroupMe and gives out a ton of extra credit. He WANTS you to succeed. The class is no easy A, use the exam study guides and practice questions, they help a ton!
I was super nervous to take Dr. Wesner's class but he is very amazing. I have heard horror stories of this course but Wesner made it enjoyable. His exams are tough and makes you work hard for your grade but wants you to know the material not just memorize it. Offers extra credit. If you have the chance to take him, do it!
Lectures are helpful. By the first exam, I got the gist of what he was looking for. Need to read the textbook too, you won't pass on lecture alone. Simple concepts, just lots of material. Good class and great instructor.
Easily one of my favorite professors at A&M. The class is not easy but a B is definitely attainable if you take the time to watch the lectures. Also gives a bunch of extra credit and communicates regularly in GroupMe. The tests really challenge your knowledge but even if you don't do well, the other grades help balance out.
Dr. Wesner is probably the nicest prof I've had in my three years of college. However, he gave the class so much extra credit because that's just how badly everyone would do on the exams. I wish he'd just make his exams easier if he's going to give so much extra credit anyways. You'll probably get 50s-60s on the exams but you won't fail the class.
I can tell Dr. Wesner is a good guy, but hes truly an awful professor. Rather than make the exams easier to understand, he ends up making tests that are difficult and covers it by adding extra credit. I felt like I didnt learn anything in this class strictly because of that fact. Youre always wondering what the curve will be to save your grade.
The exams in this class are very hard. The questions are mostly scenario based so you need to know the actual information that is in the book and his lectures. Dr. Wesner is a great teacher that challenges you to work hard. Getting a B in this class is somewhat attainable. There is a lot of extra credit. His gives some exam hints in the groupme.
Brad is a good prof and loves the material but his test are hard. You have to read the book and understand the material forward and backward. The test are all scenario based and extremely hard. I felt confident going into the tests but never received a score that reflected the time and work I put into the class. Good luck.

Join the Groupme that he puts out, read the sections then watch his videos. for the first 2 exams i did this&was not seeing the grades reflect the time&work that i thought i was studying but the last 2 exams i had joined his office hours exam week to "review" the study guide. It makes that be of a difference.
Dr. W is my second favorite prof on campus, cares about his students, always available, and replies to emails and GroupMe quickly. Offers extra credit, gives 'hints' for exams. If more profs taught and cared as he did, fewer students would hate school. Absolutely take him if you are given the chance.
A class that would not be too hard by itself but the difficulty is ramped up by pointless assignments. You will have to teach yourself since the class is all several-year-old videos the professor posted and never updated. The professor forces you to pay for a glorified discussion board that contributes nothing to your learning or the class.
Loved Wesner! Easily accessible through groupme. Make sure to join it. Tests are difficult. Just review PowerPoints, read the chapters in the textbook and watch his study guide videos and you will do decent. The only thing I disliked was paying for a discussion board service. The class is well organized and expectations are clear.
Do NOT take this course in the summer time if you are taking other classes too. He gives study guides that are little to no help & the exams are all situational & rarely on an actual business management scale. Promised a curve and then took said curve away once grades were posted. He is he hardest & worst prof I've had at Texas A&M (I'm a senior)
For this man to have his own firm is very surprising. As someone else said he promised a curve but did not hold his word but the reason there was a promise to the curve was because he didn't keep his promise on a better put-together study session for the class. I really enjoyed his lectures! They were entertaining and easy to understand. I was able to apply what I learned in class to my actual job! His exams are hard, so effort should be put into reading the textbook and slides.
Wesner is a terrible professor & believes that he is right, no matter what. He makes it seem like he does so much work for this class, when its not true. His lectures are useless, they are like 10% summaries of the book. Get ready to read. His exams always have answers wrong by definition. Rarely gives points back even with exact definition
Material isn't difficult, but tests are! He seems to set up questions to confuse you. The groupme for this class is super annoying but he gives hints sometimes. He once put a question with a politcally charged scenario about false rape accusations on a test which I thought was very inappropriate and unnecessary. Overall I didn't like this prof.
Wesner provided no homework, quizzes, or example problems. Lectures are old and recycled videos that are very surface level. I do not believe he set us up with resources for success considering the level of exam difficulty. Questions were scenario based and multiple times subjective in correct answers. Very nice guy, but terrible, lazy instructor.
Be sure to do well on exams because they're your only grades besides some extra credit. I honestly think he made the exam questions harder than they needed to be. The material is so easy and common sense but then the questions are written vaguely. He is in the group chat and will help a little with studying though.
Dr. Wesner is a great professor! Ive been at A&M for 5 years now (undergrad & grad school) and he is one of few professors I would speak highly of. Read & study for exams and youll be fine! Regret not forming a better relationship with him this past semester but I know if I ever need anything hell be there to help. Take him if you can!
Material seems like common sense, but exams have many questions with correct answers that directly contradict the text, so test scores are not reflective of effort spent reading/studying. Gives extra credit and allows you to argue for points back on exams, but ignores emails that explicitly cite the text and explain why the correct answer is wrong.
Brad is an adult frat boy -- super cool and relatable. Join the GroupMe! He gives out hints and always offers extra credit. The material is common sense, you just have to memorize all of it for the test. Readings are long but read the whole thing. Use lecture vids to reinforce your learning - it's just him reading off the important parts.
Wesner is hands down the best professor I have ever had. He really cares about his students & your success in his class & makes sure to show his students that. This class was 100% online, but his communication is amazing. The format of the class is easy to follow & he provides study sessions before tests on zoom to ask any questions. Take him!!!!!!

THIS CLASS WOULD BE SO EASY IF IT WAS OPEN NOTE. Wesner is nice but the exams are an unfair judgement of the amount of work done in this class. The material seems like common sense but the exams take it out of context and are way too difficult. I worked my ass off and still have to retake this class. Exams are the only weight towards your grade.
Before you read and get carried away by all the ratings that are supportive of him, read this. This professor is a total scam. His tips on how to succeed on exams do not help at all. That too the exams are the only grades for this course. He acts as if he cares so much about our success when in reality he just wants to put in minimal effort.
Dr. Wesner is very helpful in that he provides study guides and review sessions before every test. He also provides the answers to a couple questions before each test. You will need to read the text book but the material is not hard to understand. It is mostly just concepts and definitions. Anyone who complains about him did not read the textbook
This class is asynchronous but Wesner does a fantastic job at staying in touch with his students through GroupMe and Canvas. Exams are tough and account for 100% of the grade in the class, however he does give a study guide before exams that give you a list of topics to make sure you know before the exam. He's very helpful in the review sessions!
Can't speak for other classes, but for this one, his role is minimal; this is a self-taught course. The exam's average are in the low C's and he says proud of that, is he trying to compete with organic chemistry? If you want a good grade, ignore the study guide and focus on every term that shows up in the book. The exam is purely vocabulary.

Only 4 grades and they are all exams. Exams are actually pretty difficult. Completely self-taught class. Professor is typically available. I would honestly recommend taking this class in the summer and just getting it over with if you can.
Terrible professor and class. Class is completely self-taught, entire grade is 4 exams, and professor is total d-bag. He puts in no effort but gives you 2 free answers for the exam and everyone pretends to love him. He then uses course evals as a way to offer extra credit to students to manipulate his perception that he's a good teacher. AVOID
TERRIBLE CLASS. TERRIBLE PROFESSOR. Completely self-taught, entire grade is 4 exams + FINAL. Prof couldn't care less about his students, he's horrible. You can't ask him simple questions without getting points deducted from your final grade. Very heavy workload. People praise him only because of extra credit points. AVOID.
Homework is graded on average attempts. Exam results are only open for a short window days after the exam before being closed permanently. Putting hints in GroupMe with 850+ people only makes it so that I have to scroll through hundreds of chats for necessary information and two extra credits. My first B after 3 years is in an online MGMT course.
I loved Dr. Wesner, he is the most active online prof I have ever had. He is so willing to help and does everything he can to make sure everyone does well and has the support they need. Class material can be hard but he is very clear on what to expect on the exams.
The good reviews are full of youknowwhat. There is nothing he did that makes him a good professor. The exam questions have multiple right answers, but you have to play by Wesner's logic. Literally, if you do any thinking at all, you will get the question wrong; you have to answer them mindlessly. With him, a good grade greatly relies on luck.

Complains about emails from students frequently. Ridiculous exam questions that are over specific from the book. Overall doesn't do much just has old recorded videos. Average on exams are C's. No notes on exams. Some questions are wrong and disputed by students. 50 students emailed him to move exam day he would not despite it being a online class.
Attend all his office hours before exams when building your study guide. Join the class GroupMe since he drops exam hints as the exams approach. Take advantage of all extra credit he provides, it can make the difference between letter grades. He holds informal office hours before the final exam where you can have him quiz you over your study guide.
the best professor for those you taking the business minor, nothing you do won't help you learn the subject. there aren't test questions over things that don't matter. Cherish a well-taught class for the minor with this one.

The tests are weighted a lot heavier compared to your homework. Be prepared to read and teach yourself. He does not actually teach or have lectures for the students. You will also have to do homework on spring break.

Took this class as an engineering student. The primary grading criteria, exams, are needlessly difficult, specific, and genuinely random. Reduces 50% of the course to T/F questions over obscure concepts. Test Question: "Decisions are often made with little consideration for logic and rationality." Easy to pass, hard to do well in, not enjoyable.
Dr. Wesner is one of the best professors I've had. Super cool guy and brings a good perspective to the class by talking about his experience as a business owner. He is one of the few profs that really care about the students taking the course and their success. Not an easy class, but he offered us extra credit and exam reviews when we needed them.
This class was more challenging than my senior-level differential equations engineering course. Tons of reading every week, homework that is insanely difficult and vague, and tests that are so specific that they need to be handled like an IED. I do not know how I got a B but glad it is over.
Dr. Wesner's lectures were great. Half of them consisted of him acting as a client and the class as a whole acting as consultants and trying to figure out the best solution for the case. There are lots of complaints from his online class but if you just get to know the guy, he will help you with anything.
Homework's not bad but exams are some of the worst I've ever taken. Many questions have multiple correct answers, and if you didn't pick the MOST correct, tough luck. There were topics on the first exam that he SPECIFICALLY told us not to worry about, and when people complained he completely ignored it. Bragged about a C average. Avoid if you can.

Dr. Wesner was a great prof! The class itself was pretty difficult because everything was done in 5 weeks, but he did his best to let us know what we needed to know. He seemed to have really cared about his students and was a great prof for an online-only class!
The professor is nice but it is a self-paced, asynchronous, online class. There are weekly homeworks which range from easy to moderately difficult. The hardest part of this class is the exams where you are required to remember and apply very specific/niche details from a massive textbook, they are pure memorization.
he's very weird. while he is kind, he sort of acts immature and child-like. Exams are dumb, too in depth and broad. He isn't horrible, some extra credit. It's a class that you naturally get it or have to put in a lot of work. content is simple, prof is just weird. skips out on office hours multiple times.
Dr. Wesner seems to care about his students and gave extra credit a couple of times throughout the semester. the tests are pretty hard but he does give you a study guide so that's helpful. honestly pretty understanding and will work with you.
Dr. Wesner is awesome, but I will admit I did have a difficult time with this course. Exams are very specific, however, he offers a lot of extra credit and extra points. As long as you get your work done and complete the extra credit, you'll pass.
Worst professor I have ever had, not because of the work but because of him in general. During thanksgiving break, he gave us double the work and had the nerve to say, "I take thanksgiving very seriously, so I took a break from email". He also encourages students to drink (alcohol) during the exams which I find unprofessional.
It is really unfortunate that if you are a business minor you have to take this class. We take 4 regular exams and a final exam. Then you just have 1 homework a week and its only worth 5/705 points each week. Between exam 3 and 4 there are only about 3 weeks in between and 2 weeks in between exam 4 & final. I am a 4.0 student fighting for a B rn.
Exam questions regularly lack adequate context to distinguish between correct answer choices. As a result, many choices come down to a 50/50 bet as the "most" correct answer depends on your interpretation of a question. This would be OK for most courses where the professor provides examples in lecture, but all the coursework is through Cengage.
Does not lecture at all its all textbook reading. Reading & homework are time consuming and make up little of the final grade. Homework questions are from Cengage so they are not really similar to his exam questions. Prof is somewhat odd and unprofessional in the groupme but you must be in the groupme bc he gives hints to exam questions there.
A professor who does not post any lectures, hard to believe this still happens. Dr Wesner is a nice person and is caring about students but yet it is completely unacceptable to not put any effort into a class as a professor. We're paying for a professor not a book.
As far as online professors go, Dr. Wesner was pretty good. He communicates well and keeps the class organized. The exams in this class were the only difficult part and imo not a great indicator of how much you had studied/learned. A lot of questions on the exams seemed to have subjective answers or multiple true answers.
The exams were poorly written and extremely biased which would be okay if the class included lectures but it does not. He pulls questions out of thin air that make no sense. He also ghosted us for 12 days after Exam 3 and said it was because he was taking the break "seriously." Coincidentally he assigned 2 of the longest chapters over that break
Easily the most difficult professor I've had at A&M, not because the material itself was hard but because of how ambiguous he makes the exams. What helped the most was studying as many quizlets with his questions as I could find, going to office hours, studying previous exams, and doing well on the homework. Did give around 5 points of extra credit
He would not reply to any of my emails or direct messages but would respond to group chat messages through his GroupMe for the class. He acted like he cared about his students in the groupchat, but would completely ignore all individual messages. It was ridiculous and honestly super disappointing. Do not take this course here if you can avoid it.
Genuinely have never had a worse professor at TAMU. The concepts of the class are so easy, a toddler could understand it, but he makes exam questions so ambiguous that you could defend any of the answer choices. He makes constant passive-aggressive and useless comments in the GroupMe that make me confuse him for a student. Don't take this prof.
Extremely difficult exams. NO LECTURES WHICH IS A BAD BAD BAD THING because the book is not specific enough to answer his exam questions. I honestly have not seen such POOR INSTRUCTION in any place other than a community college which is OUTRAGEOUS for a 300 level A&M class with no other instructor.
If you want a professor who brags about his sports cars and is passive-aggressive toward students, this is the right guy for you!
Just don't - 4th exam (50 questions) and cumulative final exam (100 questions) one week apart. Everything is so broad that there could be 4 right answers on any given question. Not fun, acts childish.
Dr. W is very much a live-or-die by the Aggie Honor code, and if people are caught cheating the whole class pays for it (no clues for the next exam, no curves on the exam). However, the course material is very easy and to do well on exams you need to focus on learning how to apply the material. No lectures, all textbook reading.
Dr. Wesner is a great professor and he is funny too. However, I found his class extremely difficult because of the way he creates the exams. If you have to take this course, DO NOT procrastinate on studying for the exams, they are very point heavy on the grade scale. This class was probably one of my hardest classes I have ever taken.
Do not take this professor if possible. Extremely passive aggressive, brags about hit accomplishments to his students, and is very unprofessional. Final 2 exams are ONE WEEK apart, and exams are extremely broad and vague.
This class was not bad at all. Honestly, the people who struggled and complain a lot just don't do the basic work for their classes. My two objections would be that the 4th exam and the final were 1 week apart... like what?? And I HATED the GroupMe. No one would read the messages and would just spam with repeated questions.
This class added so much unnecessary stress. The content itself was not difficult, but somehow it became impossible. The GroupMe blows up your phone every day and it felt like the professor would punish the whole class when a couple people would get caught for cheating. If I had the choice, I would not take this class again.
Just not a good time at all. Tests are way too ambiguous for a course where the only way you learn is from a textbook. Assigned an entire module over spring break, had a test and a 100 question cumulative final within a week of each other, and frequently brags about how hard his class is. He can also be a bit unprofessional in the Groupme.
Does not teach or lecture. You are taught through Cengage. He writes the exams and sends reminders. That's it. You're not allowed to share study materials/ contact others in the class because it's considered cheating. You can use the class GroupMe with the professor in it. Overal, disappointing and unprofessional.
The only words I have is don't take him and save yourself the trouble! My biggest issue in this course is how negative and passive-aggressive he is. Please avoid this class. Very ambiguous on test. Answer choices are always subjective. He cares about academic dishonesty more than you learning in this class to be honest.
Very unclear expectations on Cartedo and Exams. Study guides for exams are misleading and problems are ambiguous. Avoid if you can.
Do not take this class if you can, you are not thought at all how to do these "cartedo" assignments which btw are graded by AI. And are also weighted the same as exams. And he gets sassy on the group me when students bring up good points.
Only class I've ever even considered dropping. For context, I am a Junior Econ major with a 4.0, trying to get a business minor. This class is all online with no direction from the professor, the questions on exams are extremely ambiguous, the Cartedo assignments are graded by AI and given very little direction. He is just not a caring person.
TERRIBLE. DO NOT TAKE this professor. He's extremely rude and will fail you if you ask to be bumped up 1 point. The Cartedo assignments are graded by AI and about 90% of a 600 person class failed the first assignment which is graded as heavy as the exams.

Really rude and inconsiderate. If you work full time, he won't make any accommodation for you and thinks everybody can just afford to drop a class. Cartedo is both generated and graded by AI with extremely vague feedback. Judging by the history of his ratings he's not very receptive to course feedback either. Wesner is a world-class finance bro.
Please DO NOT take this class! He is extremely rude and inconsiderate. He has double standards as the students cannot use AI but he can use an AI grading system to ease his "work load." Just don't take his class and you'll be fine.

This might be hands down the worst professor I have ever taken at Texas A&M. His exams contain such ambiguous and vague questions that you're left wondering if the answer you chose is even the right one or not. His study guides are him listing off various topics from the chapters, and they don't really help you at all. Texas A&M needs to fire him.
Worst professor I have ever had. I would study for so long and still do horrible on the tests because he makes the questions so vague that they're impossible. Rude and unprofessional. Talks about drinking in our class group chat regularly. Does not care if the majority of the class has to Q-drop.
What a joke of a professor. He is MIA the whole semester only giving us textbook homework and online tools created and graded by AI. When the whole class fails these assignments because the Ai is so bad at grading he pops into the class chat and tells us "Stay positive", and then leaves again. I don't know how professors like this keep their jobs.
Why am I paying for university education when the whole class is ran by Cengage and Ai. The professor does not teach us and tells is that we are not allowed to use Ai but tells the class that he uses Ai grading to save himself time from grading. Please get a new professor to teach this business minor class.
This class is terrible. The professor does not teach anything, and everything is done through cengage and ai. He doesn't even grade our assignments. He uses ai to grade them and the ai grades horribly with zero feedback regarding why we got the grade we did. Do not take this course unless you absolutely need to. And good luck if you do.
The Cartedo AI assignments are absolutely horrible with the AI giving absolutely zero grace or feedback when grading. Does not curve anything, even if the class average is failing. Makes the class way harder than it has to be. Avoid this class or prof if you can!
This entire course is just busywork where you regurgitate corporate buzzwords. My brain has never leaked out of my ears more than when I took MGMT 309.
This course has a lot of busy work, and four exams (not including the final). It is generally manageable, except on exam week when three assignments are due in addition to studying for the exam. Moreover, it does not help that Dr. Wesner is highly unprofessional in his interactions with students, so they are hesitant to ask for help.
Wesner does not care about his students at all. He acts like he is totally for us and is one of us in the class group me by making jokes and talking about alcohol (yup.) but in reality he does not care about his students needs. He uses an AI grading platform and the grades on these assignments are utterly ridiculous because AI DOESNT LIKE NON-AI.

I had him for Mgmt 440: Creativity Innovation, it was an easy and very FUN class for me. Dr. Wesner makes class fun and engaging, class always gets out early and everyone makes A's on the exams. I highly recommend this class if you get the change, he teaches "life lessons" and I always leave with a good laugh. Great guy!
Extremely unprofessional. Gives 4 exams, a final cumulative exam, and 4 cartedo assignments that make up majority of grade. Cartedo assignments have same weight as the first 4 exams, and are graded by AI, very difficult to score well on. Exam questions are written poorly, as many questions could have 2 correct answers. Exam questions are confusing for no reason & questions could have more than 1 correct answer but he doesnt say which. This class is designed to make you fail. Don't try to question him on anything; he'll respond with sarcasm and sass.
Good lord. Uses Cartedo (AI generated assignments) and then gets upset if you AI generate your answer, unprofessional in both email, shows zero leniency, and the course content is absolutely boring. Hope you enjoy learning about corporate slop for 3 hours a week only to scrape by. Passed this class.
Unrealistic workload, unethical AI grading, and poorly structured tests—every assignment and test required curving due to failing averages. Prof. Wesner is unprofessional, sarcastic, condescending, and unreceptive to feedback. Finishing this course appalled. Texas A&M must reconsider making him the sole professor for this class.

I got a B just studying with the interactive lessons and not actually reading the textbook. He's no longer able to assign 2 tests back to back because they added a new student rule preventing exams late in the semester close to finals. If you're smarter than the average business major, it's pretty easy to fight fire with fire on the Cartedo stuff.
Worst prof I have ever had. He uses AI to grade our papers, but we get in trouble when we have to use AI for help to receive a decent grade. He is nice in person, but hardly emails back. SOO unprofessional. He talks about drinking and getting arrested in the class group me. He should be fired because of how many people fail his class. My first B.
All of the assignments graded really hard by AI and makes numerous inappropriate comments in the class GroupMe. He really could care less about of his students and makes that quite clear early on. His class is absurdly hard for no reason since the material is not that hard. He talks about "aggie values" but he is what's wrong with the university.
Professor Wesner is my favorite professor at Texas A&M. He is the most inspiring lecturer and genuinely cares for his students. I have always struggled coming to class but never this one. I learned so much during this course and felt allowed to be able to grow throughout it. If you are a management major, consider taking this course!
Dr. Wesner's course was challenging, but he provided resources to be successful and went above and beyond motivating his students. The exams are difficult. It is important to study in advance (he gives a study guide of concepts to focus on). Join his GroupMe (he often gives exam hints). He provided extra credit opportunities so take advantage.
This is a relatively difficult class and has a lot of tests. Reading the textbook and completing work early will be pertinent for the success of this class. The professor seems to care about his students and will respond to feedback accordingly.
Prof. Wesner was great, the class itself was alright but he was active in our GroupMe and very clear about expectations. He made sure to communicate with the class when there was something that was supposed to be done and would give helpful hints on assignments. He was overall great, and I appreciate the communication even though we were online.
The 440 class is very simple. 2 Exams and a final group project was all. The exams are not difficult and he helps you a lot with the group project. His lectures are interactive and very conversational, which keeps them engaging. He likes to tell stories and get the class involved which makes the class enjoyable. He's fun and enjoys participation.
Wesner's MGMT309 class can be a challenging experience. While the content itself is not too difficult, the exams are incredibly ambiguous and point-heavy. Staying on top of the material and using resources like Unstuck ai for study prep is key. The class format and strict policies can be divisive, but engaging with it diligently may pay off.
Overall, the class is not terrible, but what I do not like is the AI assignments. We have to pay to do our assignments that are generated by AI, graded by AI, and submitted back to him by AI. It is ridiculous. I understand that the world is changing and AI is a major thing now, but this is unacceptable.
Literally puts no effort into being a professor, everything is AI. I wonder if he even knows his rate my professor score is so low, I doubt he'd even care. His hardest module quiz was due during spring break, (I did it early, this is not a salty review), showing he has no care for his students at all. He does curve grades if everyone bombs though.
Wesner pretends that he cares about a quality education, the university and the wellbeing of his students. In reality, he could not care less about the kids who pay to take his class. His ego and bizarre communication had many of us staggered. Was really looking forward to taking this particular management course and was terribly let down.
I'm shocked by the other reviews left this year. This was such an easy A. If you actually do the work and elaborate on information in the Cartedos, you will do as well as I did. Don't let the other reviews fool you, the people who failed this class came here to hate on him because they didn't put in the work. He was so helpful in office hours.
This is another class that is graded by Cartedo (AI). It honestly was not that bad as long as you elaborate your essays and use the information that the assignment provides you. Stay on top of your work and you will be fine. Side note, this professor left our class and got replaced by another professor in the middle of the year.
