I loved his class. I would look forward to it. He's very laid back and is on the same page as you, he doesn't act almighty like some profs. He makes you call him Brady. Take him if at all possible!

This guy is AWESOME!!! He is the best English teacher that I have EVER had. You have to register early though, because his class is hard to get into. There is a lot of revision work, but it is a good lesson to learn. He is easy on the eyes too.

For the record, how could only 2 people so far not think he's hot? He's not Fabio or anything. Always pushes back deadlines and cancels quizzes/tests/papers. Not hot.

I enjoyed this class a lot because Brady is a very understanding man and very fair. He realizes most ppl take it as a gen ed and he gears the class that way. He picks mostly interesting novels, and he tries hard to make it fun. Caution though: don't take this class if you don't like group work.

GET THIS TEACHER! Funny as $&#% too! Can be intimadating at first, but is very understanding and reasonable. Makes you do work, but it is SIMPLE if you know how to write coherent thoughts on paper. Group work is regular, but if you pull your weight, Brady knows. CANCELS CLASS OFTEN! PLEASE TAKE HIM!

this guy is a hard@$$. he's huge and intimidating, but the nicest guy ever. i hate english and i got an a. he's not one of those extremely liberal or conservative english teachers either. take his class, you won't regret it.

took him as an honors horror fiction class. Questionable books but made you think. Liked to mess with us though. Wouldn't give back one paper cause he said grades shouldn't matter. He gave in at the end though and everyone did well. Awesome guy.

He is a Hard grader but he will cancell class to meet with students one on one, and this is very helpful for your papers. A funny guy and he is very fair. Doesn't put up with crap.

Great guy. Fantastic writer. Knows his horror lit, knows the publishing world, and will continue to stay in contact with you after the class ends. Very serious about grading, so don't think you can take him as a **** class. He will eat you alive if you're not serious.

Incredibly smart and sexy. Really helps motivate you and improve your writing.

Seems intimdating at first, but he is real cool. Really knows his writers and will help challenge you to write better. Does not have patience with slackers. A hottie too.

Nice guy with a good sense of humor. Lots of writing and reading to do in his classes, so be prepared. Be aware that if you take him for creative writing courses you WILL be sharing your work in groups and with the class. Friendly guy, but his classes are a lot of work.

Brady is a really cool guy. A lot of reading, but you should expect that in a creative writing class. He wants you to learn and improve your writing. I'm glad I took this class.

Brady is mysterious and funny he has a great report with all of his students. You will work in his class, but you will love the work. Brady wants his students to love writing as much as he does. There is nothing boring about the material he presents in class. He is one of a kind. You have to work for an A, but it isn’t impossible by any means.

Brady was a pretty cool prof, but there was definitely way more group work than I'm fond of!

He was a really great guy, and i enjoyed coming to his class. It does involve a lot of group work, which i like personally. Mainly, all you have to do is read the books that are assigned, and take a quiz. The quiz are simple, he just wants to know if you read the book or not- simple as that. Not a lot of work, overall i enjoyed this class.

For a gen ed course, this was stimulating. Brady speaks minimally and makes you think for yourself, but when he does say something it makes you think, "I've never thought of it that way." Very smart--smarter than he knows. Intimidates some people but is so funny and sexy.

this professor was amazing im planning on taking him for eng 102 also. He makes you think and gives you time. he is pretty leniant and tries his best to clear things out for his students. The working excersizes are not too much work...he is awesome.

Great professor. Lots of help if you try hard. makes you think for yourself but offers lots of tips and jokes to help you remember things. if you are lazy though he can be kind of tough--he scarred one gu out of class.

Interesting teacher. Let's you be creative and does fun projects. He has a great sense of humor and little patience with annoying people who he tells off. Some of his ideas are over the heads of most students in gen ed though.

Great Professor, Got married. Made the class easy. Ready a Great Red-Neck profeesor. Get a Red Folder u will get extra points. Seriously get a RED FOLDER BRING IT TO CLASS. U will learn in his class, great class, loves what he does.

Took his class in Winter Quarter. Piece of a cake class. Hate English still!!! Grades were A, C, or F. He is not hott. Only go to class once every two weeks. Also, if you dont read the books and tell him you didnt read the books when u write for quizzes he will give u a C anyway.

My third time having him and it's better every time. Openminded guy but strict, very toughminded. Does a lot of creative stuff but is straightforward about writng and publishing. Can be hilarious one day and edgy the next. His writing is AWESOME!!! Moody and fun, don't mess with him on a bad day.

The best creative writing prof in the school, he really runs a good workshop. Brady is funny and knowledgable, and the comments he gives help stories a lot. Really smart and a little moody, but he doesn't lord over people like a Writing God likie one prof.

This guy is hilarious! He's very smart, a genius but presents it in a way that is funny, because he doesn't give a crap how he says stuff. He's real and threataning but laid back too. Don't cross him with BS and you are okay. Also, his ideas to improve your stories are like fun games. Big guy looks great in jeans.

Finally got to take him. Heard he's the best fiction prof, so I wish he taught more 400 classes. AMAZING writer, and he is effable, for sure. Tough and hard but so WONDERFUL if you are serious. Hard to read for non-serious writer bc he is blunt but easygoing. My bf said he's ultimate fightinglike, and we could go 3!!!

I don't think attendance was mandatory BUT you do get behind on busy work quickly if you don't go to class. He's a fun guy and class isn't painful. This is a core class and I would highly recommend taking this class through Brady.

Great teacher, TAKE HIM!!! I took him during intersession. It was a lot of work (about 2 hours a night, 4 on weekends) but it was worth every min of it. He us funny and honest. Really relates to the students. He carries a baseball bat around ans says he will use it. He is my #1 teacher so far at WSU.

great teacher, related well to students and was a funny guy. class was busy but wasns't so bad. he used a lot of Stephen King articles and other honest blunt articles.

FINALLY got to take him. He really runs a workshop for fiction and KNOWS what it's about. Distracting because his jeans show all but he can't help it. Speaks deep and soft but carries a big stick. Loves read and write and it passes off to students. Givesfree books to encouraged reading. Before--maybe getting soft bc he sees him get pissed with annoying wrong-opinion guy and has only ripped/confrtd. him a couple times. But he is direct and opinioned even when he is about to heart attack with patience. Studnts love his honest and bluntness.

I was horrible at English but still managed to get an A because of how easy the class was and how helpful he was.

Pretty cool guy. He has a laid back attitude and a quirky sense of humor. He really explains whatever you are doing in class and makes you practice, practice, practice with exercises. For me, they got a little boring, but it helped me. Overall, he's a good teacher!

Great Professor. Very laid-back and down to earth guy. English usually puts me to sleep but he held my interest the entire time. There are a lot of exercises that sometimes get boring, but he makes them fun for you and they are very helpful, so it's not a big deal. I am so much of a better writer now because of him. I highly recommend him.

Brady is really laid back and helpful. Attendance isn't mandatory. You read four books in the class and do an essay to answer a question about three of the four with the help of your group members. Those three (2 page) essays, two bigger (5 page) papers, and a "final" make up your grade. The final is a skit and two written paragraphs. :)

AMAZINGGGGGGG TEACHER! Take him. Seriously. It was his first time doing the poetry class but he did excellent. And his fiction workshop is fantastic. He knows his stuff. Best teacher hands down. Hilarious too.

Brady is a fun and easy teacher! I looked forward to going to his class every tuesday and thursday! Almost every week you get out at least 45 min early and the reading quizzes are easy as long as you read the books! I would turn in an optional draft because it helps your individual paper grade!

Brady is a great professor and highly recommended however, don't expect too much "hand holding" because he expects you to be a fairly competent writer from the get go. That said, he will help if feels you're struggling. RWT exercises were helpful in the long run but can feel tedious in the beginning.

Brady sure does know his stuff! Really enjoyed having him as a teacher. I wouldn't mind taking another English course with him in the future.

Very fair and wants you to succeed. If you need help ASK. He is there to help you not hurt you. A is obtainable.

Best English class ever. Encourages creative thinking, talks about the culture and history surrounding the authors, but not in a dry way. He's very witty and funny. Skits are a great exercises.

Really enjoyed his class. He assigns a lot of homework, but it all goes towards the final draft which makes writing the overall paper easier. He uses a lot of examples that you can understand. Class is not mandatory, but he definitely takes notice when you aren't there. He gives plenty of opportunity to better your grade. Effort definitely pays off

Only wrote 2 papers all semester and super helpful, just ask. Posts everything online so you only have to go to class to turn papers in. Take this class!

He understands that other classes tend to be harder than his, so he works to keep the class structured and easy to understand. One of the best teachers I've had!

I had Brady my very first semester and he is overall just a great person and professor. If you actually take your time with your assignments he'll notice and is always willing to help and give you ideas to better yourself as a writer. I am getting ready to take his 2100 class and I'm excited to have him again.

He's a great professor. He explains thoroughly, and genuinely cares if you understand the material. and although he hands back some assignments, he never once posted a grade to pilot, so I had no clue what grades I got on my papers.

You have a small assignment every week and they are fun to write! The 3 papers throughout the class are a breeze and he gives you every chance to get the highest grade u can!

He has a lot going on in his life but he explains what's going on. He does not need to be present for this class because it was a writing class, and he always responds to emails in a timely manner.

Hes awesome and super laid back. You only write three paper through out the semester, and you have endless revisions on all of them until the end of the semester. Hes awesome , and super accessible after class and during his office hours. Go to class and keep up with assignments youll get an A.

Brady is by far one of my favorite professors at Wright State. Hes very easy to get along with, and hes pretty open about letting students choose their topics for their papers. I typically dont like English classes, but Brady made it enjoyable.

Brady is a very friendly & personable guy. You will have a short assignment for most class periods which will be due the next class, but you get class time to work on it and he walks around to provide feedback. These smaller assignments take less than an hour each and all lead up to three larger papers. Easiest English class I've ever taken, & fun.

Show up, do the work, and he'll work with you through things. Not a difficult class.

Professor Allen is a very good professor. He encourages you to do multiple drafts of the papers, so he can be kinda tough on the first draft you turn in, but if you heed his feedback its pretty easy to do well on them. If you take him I highly recommend going over your papers with him in office hours because his feedback is much better one-on-one.

He was an awesome professor and super easy to get along with.

Quite a good professor. He is very lecture light. There are not many lectures/videos. You have participation assignments (30% of grade) and two papers (30% and 40%). Just do well writing and citing. Make sure to follow directions. Allows for corrections to increase grade. If you need help, he will be there.

It's a typical English class. Write the papers, and you'll do just fine.
