Loves her power point slides. Reads them, underlines them, circles them and stars them. Really loves her power point slides.
Great teacher, would highly recommend her for anatomy and physiology.
Smart, articulate, and helpful. This is a very fast-paced class and Dr. Childress made it as "painless" as possible. We all learned so much and found her lectures engaging and interesting.
I would recommend you to take Dr Childress, exceptional teacher. Had Lab & Lect. very helpful, take her you cant go wrong!!!!
Best Teachers EVER!!!She is so young and energetic, you will absolutely love her class. However, this is a tough class, if you take it be prepared to work. If you dont like prof childress, you were not willing to work hard, and will not make it in any anatomy class.
Dr.Childress is the BOMB!!! She knows her stuff. YOU WILL NOT REGRET TAKING HER CLASS!!!
I recently took Dr. Childress for BIOL 1611Lab and she is very thorough and attentive during lab exercises. She knows her stuff and she presents materials in an active, yet knowledgeable fashion. I definitely recommend, without the slightest hestitation.
It had been 20 years since I took A&P I, and I was a bit apprehensive about being able to pick it up again. However, Dr. Childress made it possible! If she is available for a class you need......TAKE HER!!
Love, love, love this professor. She is one of the best that I have had @ GPC. I would take her for whatever class u need her for if she is available. ALWAYS willing to help, gives extra credit, not a strict grader at all. Really wants her students to learn and she cares about her students. Would HIGHLY recommend her. Great instructor for real!!!
VERY VERY GOOD TEACHER.i will be taking her again. if you want to really learn ANP take her. i got an "A" out the class. super good teacher
LOVE, LOVE, her! You will learn and do well in class if you want to! Don't take any other AP teacher. she is the best!
She's a good teacher and very helpful. Take her if you want to learn!
U will not go wrong if u take her. She is the bomb and always willing to help. She is REALLY one of the best. She gives extra credit and makes it clear for you to understand. Really cares about her students. Wish she was teaching Micro!!! Great professor!!!
Okay here is the real deal. Tons of outside research to do in this class. A and P is hard anyway but she tries to make it clear but doesn't slow down for anyone. Gave a word bank on Midterm and half of the answers weren't on it and she didn't care to try to add them. Seemed she favored some students over others. Didnt review for midterm or final
Awesome! Go to class because that is where all the answers to the test are given ahead of time ...if you pay attention! She knows her stuff and is friendly, organized, prepared, laid back and very professional.
She knows her stuff and is friendly, organized, prepared, laid back and very professional. This Professor knows her stuff, if u attend all lectures u will never have a problem with anatomy in your life. She a different kind of professor her aim is for all her students to succeed. She really is the bect teacher i have come across so far
She is the bomb! I have an entire new understanding of Anatomy now. She is very knowledgeable, helpful, fair and she can teach! Take her if you want to learn and have fun at the same time. Thanks Dr. C!!!!!
She is awesome! Took her for 1611Lab and learned so much that I am taking her now from 8:30pm until 11:15pm during the summer. Just study her powerpoints and know what she tells you to know. Review your slides and identify the structures on the models and you will be fine.
Just listen to her lectures. Follow the instructions. Ask her plenty questions(which she gladly asnwers) and you will surely earn an A+. Overstudying what she did not teach you will not earn you and A
Dr. Childress is the bomb! I took her for 1611 and 1612 lab. If you have a lecture teacher that is not good she helps you to understand what the other teacher tried to teach you. I wish she did microbiology. Take her you will not regret it!
Amazing professor! By far one of the best I have ever had. There's a lot of information to learn in a&p but she really breaks it down and explains it as best she can. She is extremely cool and it was a pleasure taking her class. Her lecture and lab were actually fun and she offers a few extra credit opportunities. You won't regret taking her class!
Very good teacher, makes class interesting, she if funny and gives bonus and extra credit. Glad I had her for 1611
This teacher is great! She really explains well and will answer all your questions in class or by email. She give a lot of opportunity for extra credit. You have to work hard to learn the materials, but she will help you any way she can. Excellent teacher!
Very professional and articulate. However, she can't connect real life situations or definitions to the world outside of the text book. She was unable to answer many questions regarding the application of A&P 1, as it would apply to real illnesses/diseases or working as a healthcare professional.
I took her for both lab and lecture and I wouldn't recommend her class. I think it's just an extra paycheck for her.... and she absolutely, isn't concerned with the students understanding the material. We had a majority of the class fail a test and she never approached us about discussing the material. Her lectures don't prepare you for her test.
I only took her for lecture and that was a mistake. Her study guides outline the entire chapter and in no way prepares you for her tests. I don't know how she is in lab, but DO NOT take her for lecture.
Take her, as a last resort. If you can get, Karen Bellon ..........do so!!!
She is very easy , she gives a lot of extra credit work to help with points on test ,aswell with the grade at the end . I learn lot in her class.
She gives you her entire lecture in a Word and PPT format. Tons of ways to get extra credit points. If you complete the study guides, you will pass the tests. Very professional. I made an A in her lecture and a C in the lab taught by Robin Socci. You do the math. She taught almost 50 people and knew everyone on a first name basis. Best ever!
She was so cool & made class fun! Gave a ton of EC & used coloring book. Lectures were all in Word & PPt plus pointed out TQ! I loved her class!
Dr. Childress is the coolest teacher ever! Very laid back and relates to her students well. But her class is hard- she said it's like boot camp and she wasn't kidding! I like her better for lab. In lecture her tests were hard and there was often stuff on them that weren't on study guides. She's very helpful though. Study hard!!
Great teacher. Of course you have to study to pass, the grade isnt given to you. I recommend her 100%.
You would be foolish not to take this class. She taught me more in one hour than Dr. Robyn Evans whole semester. SIMPILICITY is her main focus. She is hillarious as well. She wants you to pass and UNDERSTAND!!! Prepares you for mid term and final, will stay to make sure you get it. Goes beyond call of duty. I love her and u will too! HOT CHOCOLATE
Took her for 1611/1611L/1612L. She is awesome! Will help you out as much as possible. I would highly recommend her.
I think this professor is over rated. Although she teaches very good, but not as good as people rated her. Her class is not too good and not too bad. it is just average. I got an A in her class, but majority of the class did not make an 'A'. so it is up to student whoever wants to take her. The bottom line is that she is overrated.
Not as good as some raters said. Lab mid-term was not multiple choice. Final lab was multiple choice because 11 people failed the mid-term. She is very clear and teaches good. She is a good teacher, but not the best.
Dr. Childress is the BEST! The subject is hard, but she really tries to help everyone. In lecture if you read the chapters and do mastering a and p you'll do find. Lab for 1612 is easier than 1611, but if you study you should do fine. She is actually in her office when she says she is and very willing to help!! Love her
She is simply the BEST for lecture and lab!! very clear, understanding and helpful. I recommend her but register early because her classes fill up quick
This is not a class that can be passed with an A unless you study. Dr. Childress enjoys teaching and that shows through her lectures. If you do not study you will have a hard time. She is willing to meet with you if have any questions...she wants her students to do well.
Great Teacher! I took her bio1611 lab. She was very helpful and wanted all her students to pass her class! Disappointed she is not teaching 1612.
Her lab is just as hard as her lecture. 2 major grades a midterm and final so you have to pass. A quiz before each class, 5 questions that come from power points. She offers plenty of extra credit. You have to MEMORIZE every model just for 50 question that you don't know is ridiculous. Brain overload. I would take Rudolph instead, or K bellon.
Dr Childress is very down to earth, and will answer questions in anyway she can. You must be prepared before coming to lab and lecture. Her tests are very hard, and often times does not coincide with her study guide. Beware of running out out of time, because you will be responsible for learning the material on your own, similar to an online class.
Trust me if u take her ur stress levels will rise she gives no slack. Her lab is just as hard brain overload so much stuff she wants u to do in limited amt. of time. Clarity is great. had 5 test in the 4 endin weeks! Smart kids even broke down &cried. If u have a job or other classes don't take her she will take all ur time. class is like 3 in 1!
I took Dr. Childress for lecture and lab and she was awesome. however, the classes were not easy and studying day in and day out was recommended. study guides were not the best but she was excellent at teaching. Mastering A&P was your bestfriend for each class. overall, i loved her. i would take her again if i could.
Dr. Childress is a GREAT instructor. I took her lecture and Lab. I would take her again for 1612 if I could. Biol is not a subject that can be spoon feed so students must study hard if the want to do good in this class. She's very helpful,She gives lots, lots of extra credits. but you need to study.
She's the best! She really cares about her students and wants to help. If you're behind, she gives plenty of extra credit. Hardly no one fails, unless you don't study. Yes you have to study, but you will pass if you study. C'mon now, it's college!
Dr. Childress is an excellent professor she explains the material very well. I took her for lecture and lab. She anwsers all questions to the best of her ability if she doesn't know she will tell you that. If you need any help go see her or if she sees you lacking she will ask you whats going on. She posts the notes on icollege, just follow them.
Great professor. Very helpful with any questions or concerns. If you study you will pass the class. All test come with study guides and powerpoint notes are posted for every chapter
Listen up people, grab a front row seat for this one. You'll be interested in what you see and hear. Take her lecture and lab so you don't get confused. Read the ENTIRE chapter so you get the wrap up at the end. Our final came straight from the chapter review so read it and know it. Show up and show her you're interested and she won't let you down.
Ms. Childress is not an easy teacher what so ever Don't get me wrong she is somewhat down to earth she makes jokes BUT this woman does not play about cheating so DONT do it if you want the truth do NOT take her Everyone I meet that has taken her course has FAILED She shows no mercy she will fail you very easily and not care don't waist your time
Hands down the BEST professor i've had. Her grading is clear, she gives many opportunities for extra credit, her lectures are very helpful and you can tell she cares about her students. You'll have to do a lot a reading to pass tests but her notes are just as helpful if you can't get the book.
Dr Childress is an amazing professor! I took her lab and someone else for lecture, I would recommend taking her for both lecture and lab. She explains things very well and she lets you know exactly what will be on the test. She also gives lots of extra credit I would recommend doing it because it helps a lot!
She is an awesome teacher! Would take her again...
Dr. Childress is an excellent instructor and like she said, you will never find a teacher to teach this course the way that she does. She is very fair with grading and if you put in the effort and time to study the chapters, you will pass. Go to class and you won't regret it! I just wished she taught the rest of my science courses.
Dr. Childress knows her stuff when it comes to A&P. She provides several resources to help you do well in the course, and is very helpful towards those who are struggling. Put forth as much effort in learning as she does in teaching, and you'll pass no problem. She has a great sense of humor and knows how to keep it interesting. Take her lab too!
She was always able to keep our class engaged. The lectures were never boring. She taught and always had us to participate during lecture to make certain we understood. She didn't read verbatim from the PowerPoint like 2 other science professors I had on campus did.
You 'll get an easy A if you study the textbook and her notes. I had her for lab and lecture. I got A in lab and b+ in lecture class.
It was different because she actually lectures in LAB you never really do a lab she grades really hard u take two test each 30% of your grade both are practical test if you plan on cheating don't take her she knows her stuff she teach very well but u will definitely work for ur grade she doesn't round grades you literately will have to work for it
Best teacher to take for Human Anatomy. Literally amazing! She always harper on students to study because that's the only way you will be able to pass the course. Every grade you get you earned, she just doesn't give grades she wants to make sure you understand the material. Test are verbatim to guided notes.
Her lectures are BEAUTIFUL. she explains everything so well! And everything is so organized with her! All you need to do is study hard, follow the lecture notes, read the text and get that A. Most of the stuff she explains in class so well that it embeds in your mind! GREAT professor. If she taught a&p2 lecture I would have definitely taken her!
Dr. Childress is an amazing professor. She is a current chiropractor so she inspires students with ambitions to enter the healthcare field. Her lectures are NEVER boring and she WILL get you involved. She tells you EXACTLY what will be on the test. DO NOT MISS A LECTURE. Read over the notes she gives you every day and you will not fail a test!
I love Mrs. Childress. Yes this is a hard class, BUT she tells you exactly what will be on the test, She gives extra credit points on each test and one at the end of the semester. You will have to study hard or you will fail. She is a great professor who wants you to be successful.
Dr. Brandii Childress is a wonderful professor. She cares about her students and give them opportunities to pass the class and be successful; however, you MUST work for your grade. It is important to attend every class. I took her for lab and lecture and pass both class with A+. Study guides are available to help you before the tests come.
Prof Childress: EXCELLENT LECTURER; fair marker; cares about students performance to the point where she genuinely hurts if a student is doing badly. Expects students to play their part. Am postponing doing Anatomy & Physiology 2, until she is the lecturer. It was a pleasure to have been in her lectures. Got a B. Did labs at GPC-Newton got A.
Dr. Childress was an amazing professor! She lectures in a fun way where it is easy to grasp the information. A&P is A LOT of information so there is a lot of studying to do outside of class. She provides study guides and is very helpful during her office hours. Take her! You won't regret it.
Pure Gold! Amazing professor! A&P just is a information dense class, you have to go in with the intention to study hard from day one! but she makes coming to class amazing, lively and helpful lectures. She draws on the board alot and repeats and builds on the pictures! Loved learning A&P from Dr. Childress! Take her!
Dr. Childress is the BEST!!! A&P is a tough course with tons of reading and memorization, but Dr. Childress is GREAT at breaking down the material on every level. Avaliable outside of class. extra credit via pop quizzes, Dr. Childress lets you know up front that the class takes work and that you have to work for your grade. PLEASE take her !!
Dr. Childress is AMAZING!! Best professor I've had thus far! She's very engaging and wants the students to learn. She knows every student by name (never had a professor who did that). Her tests are straight to the point. Her tests usually consist of 40-50 multiple choice and a few true/false/short answer questions. I would take her again!!
Midterm, Final, Lab Report. GREAT prof and class!
You can tell Dr. Childress is very passionate about teaching her students. She thoroughly goes through the lectures and labs so that you fully understand!! As long as you attend class, pay attention, do the homework, and study you will pass without a problem. Definitely recommend her! Wish I could've taken her for Human Anatomy & Physiology!
Awesome beautiful teacher! Test weighed at 30 percent in lab! Make sure you study, participate, and do the work and you will pass. A and p is not an easy course.
Dr. Childress is hands down one of my favorite teachers at GSU. You can tell she really cares about her students and if you take your grades seriously she will know. DO NOT take this class if you are not willing to study, she DOES NOT tolerate slackers. The midterm and lab report were the hardest part of the class in my opinion.
If you can, sign up for her for lab! She is HILARIOUS. She allows you to re-look over material after the end of each lab from past weeks, and she doesn't pile on in-class assignments to be completed before you leave- this allows you to look at models and tissues YOU want, at your own pace. She answers her emails and she wants you to succeed.
Dr. Childress is Knowledgeable and Invaluable. With that being said, DON'T register for her class UNLESS you are a serious and committed student. Many will complain about her level of difficulty, BUT she equips you for YOUR future. Gives extra credit before and on each exam Explanations of material is funny, yet thorough Delights in our success
dr. childress was great. i made a B in her class both lab and lecture. it wasn't easy you do have to put in work. i would take her again if she did a and p 2
For lecture there are 6 tests. No quizzes and homework for each chapter. This class you will definitely need to study. The tests are pretty tough but she gives TQs as to whats going to be on the test. Its very possible to pass this class ( I only passed to tests throughout the semester not including the final and still managed to get a C.
Dr. Childress made it simple for me to understand the concept. Her class was very interesting & fun as she connected everything that we learned to real-life examples. She has a great sense of humor. She gives TQ's in class & all tests are MC. She is the only A&P teacher who has SI for lab & lecture classes which is helpful. Definitely, take her!!!
This lady is an actual doctor and is VERY HARD! She will make you feel dumb because she caters to people that already know the information like her. She is so full of herself and takes things way to serious. She's a great lecturer but she strongly needs to work on dumbing the information down for students who are new to the class.
Midterm and Final are practical exams. The exams are worth 30% of your grade. They are not multiple choice! You must know the information. You must know the correct spelling of the information or she will mark it wrong. You have a lab report due the first month of class. Grade only consist of homework, lab report midterm, and final. RUN!!! :(
She is super smart. She makes anatomy fun and easy for you to understand. She's very approachable if you have any questions go see her during her office hours. She's motivational. She was the only professor that gave us student tutors for lab and lecture which really helps. She also gives hints on possible test questions (TQs). Take her!
Be very mindful of taking Dr. Childress. Unless you are not taking a full load of classes, I would not suggest taking this class. It is very hard to grasp the information in anatomy, and unless you know you anatomy before you take this class you will struggle. Her lectures are amazing, but her test are super tough.
Dr. Childress is one of the best professors at Decatur campus. She is straight forward and I love that about her. She gives you TQ's (test questions) so you know exactly what to study for. As long as you study you should receive an A. She also give homework on Mastering. If you looking to learn and pass with a good grade I recommend Childress.
I love Dr. Childress but a student has to put in work since the subject matter is so involved. She is pretty quick but repeats important information constantly. She is straightforward with what she expects and is really funny. She will have you study a lot and test you on like a small part of it. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. My favorite!
I took Dr. Childress for A & P I lab and loved her class. She moves quickly through the material but explains everything thoroughly. She is very approachable and will help whenever you ask . Her lab lectures helped me in my lecture class. Of course, you will have to study. Take her for lab if you want to make an A.
One of the best professors. Passed her lecture and lab. It takes a lot of studying though. She is really funny. She gives a lot of extra credit. I learned a lot from her. Thank you.
Dr Childress is an amazing teacher and I am so glad I took her. Test can be hard but if you have a good studying habit you will be fine. Take her for lecture and lab because she prepares you for the 2 exam in lab in her lecture class. She offers a lot of extra credit points for her students to improve their grade. Study and work for your grade.
Dr. Childress is super fun and friendly. Her lectures keep you entertained. You would never get bored with her. I had her for AP1 lab and I am glad she was my teacher. Extraordinary science teacher.
She actually TEACHES and doesnt read from a PowerPoint expecting you to just know what the hell shes talking about. Not to mention shes ALWAYS eager to help you understand the course materials.
This lady knows her stuff, but she doesn't take into consideration that students are still TRYING to learn it. She sort of lectures a mile a minute, if you miss something, good luck. She gave pop quizzes, so make sure you're studying outside of lecture! Lab was personally a nightmare. We had to know human/animal parts within a weeks time
Okay Here is the real deal, she is a good teacher she knows her stuff. But she is a doctor and she loves to say that she is a "practicing doctor " she does not understand that we are the students, not practicing physicians. She grades way to hard. Listen if you are going to take her, take her lab and lecture. I have 3.7 GPA I had to drop her class
Dr. Childress really knows her stuff! She is very forward and clear with information and expectations. She wants everyone to succeed and she provides the tools necessary to do so. She adheres to the syllabus and is very consistent. You can count on her to do what she says. She is the best professor that I have ever had. HARD WORK SUCCESS!
Yooooooo, she is the best teacher hands down! Now she is not easy and you have to work for your grade but she knows her stuff! You will have funny while learning and she understands that we are all students and she wants you to get it! If you get a chance take her!
I really enjoyed Prof. Childress' class. She makes sure that you understand the information given and goes into detail. Homework is due every Sunday. If it's late, points get deducted. Midterm and Final were worth 30% of the grade each. Lab Report will also be due. Do not expect to slack. She is definitely a great science teacher.
love her as a person but as a prof not so much. she knows her stuff but she moves way to fast to learn anything from her. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU HAVE NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE IN SCIENCE !!!!!!!!! and her lab sucks to first test was the final so if you failed that it was pretty much over.
Dr. Childress is an excellent professor. She grades extremely heavy, her class requires alot of effort. She gives her students resources outside of class to help them succeed. She's always available during office hours. She's blunt and straight to the point but it very passionate and wants her students to thrive. Don't be afraid to speak up.
Very knowledgeable, the way that she runs her class is like a Q & A session. She likes for her students to participate as she teaches. She can be impatient sometimes, but it's up to you to communicate to her if you're not getting the material. There are 2 major tests, mid term and final. Both worth 30% each. You will have Master AP hw due each week
Absolutely love her she made class fun
Her advice in class from high lighting notes to exterior resources to assist with better understanding you should take heed of. Her style and delivery of the material is a bit speedy however understandable and detailed! This prof. actually cares and takes time to answer questions of clarity.
Dr. Childress is one of the best professors I have had. She is passionate, funny, and have high expectations for her students. Go to class, take notes, and study regularly and you should be fine. We had two at home exams (they were not easier to me) out of 5. I only had her for lecture but a lot say take both. She covers lab in lecture a lot.
If you want a professor thats going complicate AND over teach SIMPLE material, causing confusion - take her. If you want a professor that is extremely RIGID & unnecessary anal with her grading schemes, take her. Lets put it like this, I scored higher in a subject I SUCK at than my favorite course, A&P. Wouldnt recommend, take a chiller professor
Dr. Childress will TEACH you what you need to learn in order to be successful in your career. I've never learned so many new and difficult things in such a short amount of time. I thought I would have to do lots of cramming but instead I actually learned the material. She truly cares about her students!
None of the material you study will be on any of the tests, the midterm or final exam. Yes, she's one of those professors. It almost seems as if she makes the testing material difficult & far from what's on the study guides, intentionally. If you actually have a life outside of school & you need an understanding professor, DON'T TAKE HER.
Just know as a mini-mester online isn't the way to go with this one. originally this was suppose to be on campus but due to covid 19 it became online. Unless you can self teach go ahead unlike me this wasn't for me i like to be taught in person and not online. She isn't a bad professor she's just difficult. If you like a challenge go ahead. GL!
With Covid and everything else in this RIDICULOUS online lab (how can you even take a lab online) She failed me with a 67. Made a high B in lecture. WORST PROFESSOR EVER AVOID AT ALL COSTS
With everything going on, I would've thought that she would give us resources to study but she didn't. We had to take a quiz with the lockdown browser every week. Couldn't use notes on the midterm or final. Mastering and lab report due every week. I passed the lecture (another professor) with a high B. She didn't drop the lowest quiz grade.
Really tough professor. If you want to pass, you got to work for that A. A lot of information to take in, and especially difficult if are taking a full load of classes and also working.
Dr. Childress is committed to ensuring students actually LEARN what is being taught in the lab. The way she designed the online Lab is extremely organized and she gives you a day by day work plan every single week. There are tons of resources and she is very responsive via email. Excellent professor.
Dr. Childress is great! Lectures are taught in ways you can understand and relate. Many in-class quizzes you get to use as extra credit. If your grade drop, she takes time to figure out how you can fix them. You WILL earn your grade. No freebies! Her lectures are repetitious, and helps with memory for the test. Take her if you REALLY want to learn!
Professor doesn't help students to be successful. She doesn't even answer your questions when you email her. All she does is give you a PDF file and tells the students to read and figure it out on our own.
I took her for both the lec and lab (B, she didn't put in all the lab grades but the grades were due. Lecture she won't cover everything so you'll have to go over it yourself. She records lec. There is a quiz every class use the study are and practice quiz she gets questions from there. She's fast paced and to ask a question you have to in person.
Dr. Childress is a great professor. In every lecture, she wrote the "Structural Levels of Organization" on the board. You'll understand it more if you take her, but it helped me keep up in her class. 1 quiz a week. Put the effort in outside of class and you'll do well. Really helpful during office hours & wants you to succeed beyond her class.
Good lecturer, gives study guides, and is accessible outside of class. Some may think she's tough test-giver/grader, but Anatomy & Physiology I/II is just the start of the uphill battle. If you're looking forward to a career in healthcare, she's just preparing you for when you take the NCLEX, MCAT, etc. Highly recommend taking Dr. Childress.
I dont know how she has so many good reviews shes the worst. All she gives is a pdf file for the material and there is no further help. Dont take her unless you have lots of extra time on your hands because you'll have to find a better understanding of it on your own or she suggests tutoring with the school.
Took her for A&P2, she will def go in depth with lecture, but sometimes has tangents or entertains others questions cutting our time down. 5 Tests, midterm and final. Final is CUMULATIVE! Expect quizzes every class day. Some extra credit opportunities. Hw on mastering and textbook can be purchased w/ mastering. Prepares you for medical field!
Me personally I love Dr. Childress she gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, so if you don't at least try in her class I don't think you can fail. Very accessible outside of the lab she responds to my emails in under 24 hours. Although AP1 is a hard subject overall she makes it easier to understand. Love her and I'm taking her for AP2!
Dr. Childress is amazing! 10/10 recommend. She is very thorough in her lectures. I took her class for lab, but she made sure to intertwine the two courses for a better understanding. She is a very visual instructor and engages. She does NOT give out any credit that is not earned. You must do your assignments and participate to be successful.
I highly recommend this class. The professor truly cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She offers extra credit, responds to emails, and is very accessible. But don't mistake kindness for weakness, she expects effort. If you're not willing to try, don't expect a free pass. She's fair, firm, and genuinely invested.
She is a very cool professor but when class starts at 9 she means 9 on the dot if your 2 mins late you will fail the pop up quizes that are everyday (they are extra credit though) I would not take this class with her again though. Very nice and professional and knows her stuff
One of the best professors I've had. She explains A&P very clearly and makes a challenging class feel manageable. She's genuinely funny, deeply invested in teaching, and her personality is absolute gold. You can tell she truly wants her students to succeed and prepares you well for the profession. Just a reminder to bring a plethora of knowledge :)
Most convoluted class I've taken. Test dates frequently changed, whole chapters were labeled “independent study” despite this being "in person". Some grading was delayed, Mastering A&P felt like paid busy work, and some comments around sex & gender felt out of touch. Extra credit existed though I guess.
