I am still in the process of his class, but HOW CAN ANYONE GIVE THIS GUY A BAD REVIEW? He explains everything CLEARLY and helps his students ALL THE TIME! He responds to his emails promptly, and repeats the material OVER AND OVER! I have an 8am class with him and still love to go! I had a 95 on my first test without that much effort! He's great!

Taking a Summer Session course. Only people who don't show up to class will give this guy a bad review. Klarman repeats the material a lot. And he must be on his computer 24/7 b/c he replies to emails fast (say within an hour or so). All the tests are identical to homework problems. Class is a breeze! I was really nervous about taking this course because I heard how difficult it was. His teaching methods really helped me to understand the material. He does go fast, but there is A LOT of material to cover. A good bit of homework, but it really helps you during test time. Responds to emails quickly. Overall, great professor!

Prof Klarman for Statistics is very good. He teaches material you NEED for exams. the examples he gives in lecture and from his powerpoints are the same type you can find on his tests. I highly highly recommend him. His tests are easy. Go to the 'review' days prior to tests, he basically tells you exactly what you need to study.

Intelligent, insightful teacher. In my experience, any frustration from questions asked was due to the student not paying attention. Genuine confusion was always treated with respect. A lot of work, but the end result is a pleasant one should you tow the line. I bet he celebrates Festivus.

Wow, Statistics was really hard for me to take on-line. I recommend taking in person if math is hard for you. Klarman is a great guy and does his best to help you out. Two campus tests, know how to use the calculator!Go for tutoring! Good luck.

Took him for both Stat1&2. Stat2 is definiately a lot easier. The Math Department doesn't allow him to let us have notecards anymore but there's no need anyways. In Stat2 there's 5 exams; 2 take-home & 3 in-class. He's serious about his students being successful. Great professor! Take him in class! Dono how his online works. Passed with a solid A.

I previously took Stat I from a more traditional professor where we had to write all problems on paper. Professor Klarman explains and solves all problems on the computer which in statistics is a huuuuuge time saver and it actually gives students more time to help understand the problem and answers we receive. I highly recommend!

Klarman was great. Took him online in the summer and got a B-. Would of done better in class. Always answered questions and quizzes/tests were very similar to math lab practice questions. Great teacher! Highly recommend him for Statistics!

Took him for Stat 1 and he was great. Going to end up with an A. He can answer any question and explains everything so clearly it's impossible to be confused. If I was going to Montco for another semester I would definitely take him again for another class.

Explains topics well and clear. Tests are tricky, not alot of questions but worth alot of points one mistake could drop alot of points. Do homework, dont fall behind and you will do great!

This class is tough, I did hybrid in a 6 week summer class. This teacher is the best I ever had. The comments where they say he is poor, probably wanted a free ride. You get out of this class what you put into it, I had a wonderful experience!!!

I took both MAT 131 and 132 with Klarman. He's good at explaining stuff during the lecture. And most of the calculations consists of using the TI-84. The key to succeeding this class is doing the homework. It's possible to get 100s on the test. Just do the homework. An easy class if you put the effort into it. This is not as hard as calculus.

Prof. Klarman is awesome! I wish all the teachers were like him. I got "B." But it was a 6-week online class and I was taking too many classes at the somae time. He gave me office hours and answered all my questions. Your work will earn a grage that you deserve. No free pass in stat.

Klarman helped me out very much. I took the class online and the lectures were very straight forward. Easy to understand and the tests were easy. He allows you to use Minitab during the test which is great. Best teacher I have come across. Also very helpful with final grades

Professor Klarman is a great online instructor. He is very straight forward, and his video lectures tell you what you need to know. Honestly, I had trouble at first because I didn't have good habits. Take notes! I passing with all A's on all the exams and homework! Midterm and final at campus. You are allowed to bring a note card. I recommend him.

Mr. Klarman is an amazing teacher! I had him for 161 & 162. He cares about his students and really takes the time to explain anything that the students want to know! He uses free online textbooks to help save some money for his students. By far the best math teacher I have ever had!

Mr. Klarman is a great guy but his class is pretty tough. He is willing to see you during office hours if you need extra help. Good guy though.

He was one of the nicest and most understanding Professors that I had. If you emailed him with any questions, he would always get back to you. All of the homework and tests were online except for the midterm and final. If you showed up and paid attention, it was a given to pass. Great Guy.

Professor Klarman explains mathematics the way it should be explained. Mathematics is not simply plugging numbers, it is a way of thinking in a clear, rational way. The way his lectures are set up, you would have to have a hard time following logic not to understand. Grading is clear and fair. He addresses any problems you have. Great professor.

Extremely annoying, said "okay" after every single sentence. Reviewed concepts way too many times. I couldn't wait for class to be over each day. Couldn't stand to attend each class, either. Attendance policy was to not miss 3 classes in a row (for a MW course, based on a MWF course.)

Professor Klarman is probably one of the best professors I've ever had. He explains math in a way that makes sense and explains WHY it matters in the real world. He is extremely nice, willing to explain any problem and answer any question regardless of where you are at in the course. If you do the work, put in effort, and show up its an easy A!

Would suggest to do all the homework that he assigns online (didn't take this as online course but homework and problem sets are online and it's our responsibility how much of materials we want to practice). I enjoyed Mat106, how he applied math to real world and I think his lectures are compact and clear. Would take him again!

Professor Klarman does a great job teaching stat. If you don't come to class often, you are likely to fall behind. His class was clear-cut. I took him for mat131 statistics. There was homework often, all online as well as the quizzes. There were only two tests: midterm and final. He was a good teacher, I recommend him, if you're good at paying attention and work well with online homework.

Prof. Klarman is full of energy and wants you to succeed. He does what he can to make the learning enjoyable and gives you all the opportunities to do well in the class. Classes are often let out early if all the scheduled material for that day is covered. Homework was mostly online, take your time, do the work and study and you can get an A.

He's a great teacher who really cares about his students. I've since transferred to Drexel University and he still offers help whenever I need it. Just do the homework, like any math course, and you will do fine.

Professor Klarman is a great math teacher. He knows how to explain things properly and without to much confusion. He goes a little quick for me personally in Calc. 1, but he goes over a lot of homework or any other math problems which helps a lot. Great teacher, great guy. Willing to take as much time as realistically possible to ensure that you understand the material and succeed, class was only difficult because calc is pretty hard. Offers multiple resources for learning besides lectures and is legitimately passionate and involved in mathematics.

He really knows his stuff! I'm terrible at math and he made things understandable. Homework and quizzes are online, while the mid-term and final are in class. NOTE: you do not need to buy the textbook or a graphing calculator for MAT106. He can provide both of those things online for free.

This teacher is fair with his math lectures, he uses specific steps for the problem on the board. He speaks really fast pace. He can sometimes easily catches an attitude if you don't pay attention well or playing on ur phone during class. Math online will always be used throughout the semester. Make sure u understand the problem he gave you.

Im horrible at math, but Brandon made it somewhat easy. Hes really wants you to pass his class and he wants you to understand something before moving on. Super easy class. The quizzes and homework was all online and was due every week. As long as you take notes and show up, you'll get an easy A. The midterm was literally almost the same exact questions as the homework/quizzes.

Very sassy but a good professor

Good lecturer. MUST ATTEND CLASSES. Grading criteria is straightforward and tests were just questions from the homework with slightly different numbers. Great professor, super nice and patient! Only hard part is that there is no partial credit on tests (all multiple choice) and they are worth a LOT.

I took this class in a six-week online session so the workload was heavy with one quiz and homework due each week. The midterm and the final together accounted for 60 percent of the grade. That being said, there were no surprises on either exam and the questions were easy.

Probably getting an A in Brandon's class. He really makes you work, but if you're willing to put in the effort, you'll be fine. If you don't do the work, you won't pass. Grades were based on homework so no surprises. About 1/2 of the class dropped his class midway. Very accessible outside of class but can be cranky. Incredible professor.

Professor Klarman is an awesome teacher! He devotes half of class time to reviewing the homework, which is online, and is more than willing to help anyone who asks. He gives great lectures and makes great analogies. Let me put it this way, the only reason why I'm not retaking his class is because he doesn't teach the next one I need.

The best prof. He will help you succeed. 4 homework sets w/50 problems and 4 quizzes online plus the midterm and the final in class. Online hw and quizzes are tough bc answers have to be exact. Very high standards. Takes off quite a lot on midterm but some people got an A. Final was easier. All doable but you have to work. Explains very clearly.

This is a good professor but you do have to put a lot of work into the class. I took him for 140 in class and I am going to take him for 142 online. The homework and quizzes are online. The quizzes are timed. The midterm and final are in class. Make sure you study a lot because the midterm and final are worth a big portion of your grade.

He is a good professor for someone who wants to do well in calc. As he lectures he gives examples and as you are doing the examples with him, he will tell you what examples will be just like the homework. He really cares about the students success. He tells you how to avoid mistakes people made in the past. Although lots of HW, they all help.

Had to retake Calc I and he was much better than my first professor. His homework is identical to the quizzes, so there is no surprises. You have to work hard and teach yourself some things (like any other Calc class) but so far I really enjoyed him. Can be a little tough on grading though.

I took Professor Klarman in the summer semester and it was worth it. I would say it was easier to understand everything in a short semester than in the regular 15 week semester. We had classes twice a week which gave more than enough time to do homework and quizzes. If you just pay attention in class, ask questions and do the work, you'll be fine.

I'm not great at math but, Professor Klarman explains it in way that makes it easy to understand. Definition of a earn your grade teacher, very straight forward grading but hes also pretty flexible.

His class is very straightforward and as long as you attempt the practice problems and understand the material the quizzes and tests are very easy. His office hours are very strict but he gives video lessons for most of the problems.

TAKE HIM. If you get your work done and be responsible there is nothing that can stop you from getting an A. You are all by yourself, do things on myopenmath and get grades right away, and email him whenever you need anything. You will get all the help he can provide. Took him for 3 courses, would take again if I had any math classes left.

Negative reviews seem to be for online versions. Took trig & calc1 in person. Brings a bit of the old school stricture, but it's MATH, not lit. Mace Windu of the department. Online homework dangerous if you dont self consciously maintain good written math habits, as he only looks at your work on 2 exams. HW heavy but necessary to master topics. +1.

Took the summer course. Loads of homework, 4 sets of 50 questions and a quiz every week and two exams. It may seem like a lot but is doable if you space out the work and your time. Just be responsible and get everything done in time and you'll be fine. Responded to emails quickly and is very considerate.

Easy class. Attendance is mandatory regardless of doctors note. Unit 4 is the hardest but the hard part is not on the final. Took in person but its Online which is optional for this class. Very flexible. Strict on assignments. When it's due that's the last day you turn it in. You do no work the day its due its gonna be that for the assignment.

It's challenging to take Klarman but he knows what's he's doing and he's good at teaching and most using the calculator the hole time overall good professor!

Although he is very rude and a tough grader I do mange to enjoy his lectures no matter what just come to class on time for klarman he will make an effort to teach he only grades homework quizzes and a midterm and final coming up overall I did enjoy his class but he is tough and he does teach decent.

You have to work in his class - no easy road for math. Do not be late. He is easy to talk to, and is very respectful as long as you provide him with equal respect. Huge music fan, and likes to have fun! Yes, he can be short at times, but never in an intentionally hurtful way. Pay close attention, and you will be absolutely fine.
