Awesome teacher! He keeps you interested. There are plenty of extra credit assignments. If you do the review for the test you will def. get a great grade on it. Make sure to start the writing assignments in the beginning of the semester, otherwise you will kick yourself for it. I learned a lot!
this teacher is one of the coolest i've ever had. anything of importance he repeats over and over on top of giving a self explanatory study guide for each test. he also gave the opportunity for plenty of extra credit. the class is fun, so its not a problem with attendence, and with study guides and extra credit, this course makes for an easy A.
He definantly knows his stuff...very energetic and excellent at explaining ideas that i thought i would never be able to grasp. if you have any interest in the humanities, he is the professor to take.
I loved this course...a must take!
Hot!!! and very intelligent, This class seemed so hard the first day, and then it was so easy afterwards. He explains EVERYTHING, and if you don't understand he has no problem helping. He is witty, and laid back. I HIGHLY recommend this course.
Easy A, if: you always attend class, do assignments (journals) right away (remember: Gordon Rule Class), and invest 30-40 minutes in studying for every test.
Attendance is a must, no leaving class early, coming in late or taking bathroom breaks. He WILL give a pop quiz if he hears a cell phone even vibrate. BUT he is a GREAT teacher! He knows what he is talking about and extra credit is offered throughout the course! Highly recommended!
Highly recommended. He is able to make even the boringest stuff interesting. He definitely knows his stuff.
The material in this class could be very boring, but montgomery finds a way to make it more interesting, class is EXTREMELY easy for a gordon rule. Take notes and Review the study guide because it is EXACTLY like the test. Its hard to fail this class
Yeah... he is pretty hot... but thats besides the point! This class was actually pretty interesting. All you have to do are journal entries, tests, and quizzes. I like the journal entries becuase it is an easy way to get Gordon Rule credit. The study guides are exactly like the tests, and the quizzes also help with the test. GREAT class!
I didn't think this class was as easy as people here make it sound. The tests were hard,& he is very specific to what he is looking for in your answers. It takes more time & effort than I thought it would be to understand the material well enough to leave with an A. If You think you can go and screw around,& bs your way thru it, you're very wrong.
GREAT class!
Very good looking! But besides being interested in his looks he makes you want to learn about humanities. His passion and knowledge about the subject is wonderful. Definitely read the material. Make sure you listen because his lectures make up most of the test. Best teacher I've had. You'll at least learn one thing to sound cool at a dinner party.
Awesome teacher. Seems like a dude you and your buddies would hang out with, then he opens his mouth and pours a hot pitcher of awesome knowledge all over the place. I recommend him to young and old. He is one of the BEST, enough said.
He is very HOT! But besides that, he is sooo knowledgeable about humanities! I only took the class because of requirements, but his passion for it made it worth while. Pluss, he seems like a really cool guy, which makes class even better. If you need humanities credit, take his class.
blabs the whole time...boring...if your cell phone rings he gives a pop quiz...
One of the best i've had at MCC, but his pop quizzes are frustrating! His enthusiasm makes it easy to pay attention in class and his review sheets cover everything that's on the tests, so it's not that hard to get an A. Writing is only journals too.
HE SEEMS VERY SERIOUS BUT OVERALL I THOUGHT HE WAS A GREAT INSTRUCTOR! AS LONG AS YOU PRINT OFF THE POWERPOINTS AND DO THE REVIEWS YOU WILL DO GREAT ON THE TESTS. THERE IS NO FINAL THAT WAS A PLUS! JUST MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS OFF OTHERWISE HE'LL GIVE A POP QUIZ RIGHT THEN OVER SOMETHING YOU HAVENT EVEN STUDIED!!! BUT HE'S GREAT SO I RECOMMEND HIM!
I really had a good time in his class last semester; he's very easygoing and a lot of fun to talk with. There wasn't a final, but study for the tests and do your journals!
Awesome teacher, cool with students, uses normal language, you WILL NOT get confused. Ever. Very animated, makes subject interesting. Just DO NOT walk into his class late. His ONLY pet peeve. That, and cell phones.
Great lecturer, communicates the information really well. Doesn't take attendance but its in your best interest to go. Cell phone rings= pop quiz
Easy going and laid back, he is very well spoken and easy to understand. He makes the subject very interesting. My favorite class of the semester, he is one of the best professors I've ever had. The class is not very hard, just make sure to do all quizes and journals. Make sure to silence or turn off your phone before class.
Professor montgomery is mean and arrogant to his students. Would NOT take him again. Stay away.
An excellent, clear-headed teacher of humanities. It's quite obvious that he spends a great deal of time studying the material he teaches; his passionate, knowledgeable lectures show it. It's rare that a teacher knows so much beyond the scope of the material; he answered more students' questions than any other professor I've taken. A true genius!
professor Montgomery is arrogant and mean. STAY AWAY. Cell phone rings and he will give a pop quiz. He is mean to all his students. He cancelled class 8 times. Would NOT RECOMMEND
professor Montgomery is arrogant and mean. STAY AWAY. Cell phone rings and he will give a pop quiz. He is mean to all his students. He cancelled class 8 times. Would NOT RECOMMEND Take a different professor.
He's kind of mean.. i wouldn't take him again...unless you like boring. He does give you a pop quiz if anyone's cell phone goes off, but he clearly states that in the syllabus. Overall, i'd give him an ehhh..
I have no idea what the previous people are talking about...I loved montgomery's class! He is laid back, easy to talk to, and his lectures are full of energy and interesting. The writing assignment is easy and the tests aren't bad if you do the review sheets. I would highly recommend!
Prof. Montgomery is extremely knowledgeable. His lectures are interesting and his enthusiasm shows. If you have an interest in the Humanities, this is the prof to take. If you are looking for an easy "A", this is not the prof to take. Turn your cell phone off and do not come in late. He has no tolerance for these things.
If you want a really knowledgeable teacher on this subject and you dont want to fall asleep during a lecture he is the teacher for you. His tests are not easy and you really need to do the study guide to get a good grade. He also is not that hard on the eyes either.
The instructor is arogant and full of himself and has no rapport with the students. His lectures are robotic. He is very knowledgeable about the subject matter.
I have had Prof. Montgomery twice and he is NOT a difficult teacher! He won't put up with BS. He is very smart and he knows what he is doing. The tests are very hard but he basically gives you the answers on the review sheet. Attendance is a must! Great teacher, funny, and very sexy!
i took him last semester and his teaching skill are great. just because he's young trust me he does not play around. He gives great notes & his test are hard but as long as you study & show up you will have no problem. I would have had an A but someone cell phone rung and we had a pop quiz that took me by surprise. Take him he's great. GREAT PROF.
he would be an amazing teacher if he wasn't so uptight, don't let his looks full you. class is a breeze, take notes, study for exams, show up to class on time, & silence your phones. he doesn't joke around much, other than laughing at his own jokes. wouldn't take him again cause he's really rude, but he is knowledgeable about the stuff he teaches.
I don't care if he is a boy genius or whatever, he is extremely pompous. As a "nontraditional student"(ie,his elder) he still spoke down to me when I asked him a question suggesting that I lacked the intelligence and insight for one of his projects. Shame on him. And I beg to differ, I would have comprehended with no problem what so ever. Take the
Prof. Montgomery is a great teacher. he knows how to explain the subject very well. his exam are not hard at all if you take good notes and study the review sheet. he is very serious about turning you cell OFF(pop quiz), and do not be late. i recommend this teacher. easy class.
Very clear when he teaches. Easy class if you do the occasional homework. Here's my suggestion, print the study guide before the chapter starts and take notes on there, easy to study for class. A little stuck-up though, but nice and informative.
He's is a great professor, and as long as you study the review sheets you should ace each test. The homework is a piece of cake. He is a really cool teacher and his lectures are very interesting, he really knows his stuff.
if your late - he'll embaress you & make u leave. if you ramble three your papers - he will embarress you. he is a good teacher and is really good at makin subjects interesting but he isnt a very nice person at all
He gives a good lecture, but is not nice @ all. He appears to have distain for his students. Rude and arrogant best discribes his personality. If you ask a question be prepared for a rude non-helpful answer.
Montgomery is a great professor. Took him for HUM 1&3. He really knows his stuff. Very moody though. He can be a jackass. Just come to class early/turn off your cell phone(he doesn't even want to see it)and you'll get on his good side. Little writing for g.rule.Lectures are interesting! Got me to like humanities! Study review sheets for A on exams.
Outstanding teacher! Outstanding classroom management! He banned cell phones from class, which gave the class a tone of real learning. Attendance policy kept everyone present. His teaching style is relaxed, factual and fun. I'd take this instructor again.
He is a good teacher and knows his stuff but he is a bit monotone and if you fall asleep easy this is not the teacher to take. I found myself doing it a lot but he offers extra credit and gives a review sheet so its easy also quizzes online for every chapter.
I took him over summer and lets just say, piece of cake! Online quizzes were so easy and in class tests were easy too. Awesome guy and knows his stuff. Offers extra credit that takes only a few minutes!
WHY can't all teachers be JUST LIKE Brandon? He's super educated (impressive educational background), teaches with SO MUCH passion, and always keeps ORDER in the classroom. He tolerates NO bull. I enjoyed each class because of how well he lectured and because I knew no disrespectful students would interrupt my learning. Brandon is a GIFT to SCF.
Very Antisocial...No patience..bad with emailing students right back
Very cool teacher, and makes the subject seem interesting. Also very good looking and kind.
Prof.Momtgomery is extremely knowledgeable, enjoy his teaching style of going over material. However, found him to have issues of dominance over students,as well as control issues. Make sure you relieve yourself prior to class, he does not like ANY interruptions.Takes himself too seriously and it shows. Knows his stuff, take him if you like history
great teacher, really knows what hes talking about and its obvious hes passionate about what he teaches. easy class as long as you put forth some effort. as long as you dont show up to class late, your cell phone doesnt go off (results in a pop quiz), and you dont leave during the middle of class youll be fine
If you want a pompous, arrogant, and unhelpful instructor, by all means take Brandon Montgomery, I have never been spoken to with such disdain in a classroom setting in my entire career as a student. He is blatantly rude. I would ask, if he wishes to foster a discussion format to his classes, then why condescend to almost every student response giv
If you want a pompous, arrogant, and unhelpful instructor, by all means take Brandon Montgomery. He is blatantly rude. If he wishes to foster a discussion format in his classes, then why be condescending? If you ask him a clarifying question he acts as if you were insulting him personally. He is not a hot shot intellectual as I have seen claimed.
I've had montgomery for 2 different humanities classes and his teaching style in incredible. As long as you show up on time, turn your cell phone off, and do the homework, class is a breeze. Review sheets are thorough and exams are multiple choice. Great prof!
By the end of the course semester, I wanted nothing to do with this course because the Prof. Is as unhelpful as I have ever seen. He helps no one. Rude, Arrogant and disrespectful. I have never missed a class nor had any problems in class. But, this man does not belong in the classroom. Lousy instructor.
I didnt like him at first, but now I understand why he is strict. If you want to learn about humanities in an objective lecture, without the distractions of phones, computers, or someone leaving and coming every 5 seconds, this class is for you.. He simply weeds out the weak. THANK YOU!
This was the last class I needed to graduate, and I'm glad I took it! I learned more from Prof. Montgomery than I did in any other class at SCF. Yeah his rules are strict, but as long as you show up on time and turn your phone off, they really aren't a problem. BEST PROF I'VE HAD!
I enjoyed Prof. Montgomery's lectures. He is very smart and knows his stuff. He makes the lectures interesting and has alot of cool stuff on his powerpoints. The bad: He is not nice or friendly at all. He did not take the time to learn students names and you can tell he doesnt really care about his students, if he did he would be a great teacher.
Very smart guy! A little opinionated but very informative on all levels. He does get serious about the assigned text readings so READ THEM and be able to discuss! Also don't skimp on the thematic questions! As long as you read, I recommend!!
Ummm...one word "awesomeness!" a must take
Great lectures! If you read the chapters, pay attention in class, and take notes (I personally printed his powerpoints)then the thematic questions are cake! Great class plan on taking more of his classes! If you are there to learn then you will love him. If you go to school to make friends just skip signing up for his class.
The lectures are well given, he knows this course inside and out, so some students may be intimidated. If you take notes and do your thematic questions you will easily pass this class. I would take it again.
Easy A. Just do the review sheets.
Great instructor. Do your reading and the lectures are very interesting thorough. Come to class, on time, and don't be a clown and earning an A should be no problem. If you are rude to the class and insist on yapping about the newest Madden game be prepared, he will embarrass you. Most people understand these simple courtesies by college.
Awesome professor. Very knowledgeable and concise. Responds to e-mails promptly and updates his ANGEL like every other instructor should. Show up for class, don't use your phone, and don't interrupt his awesome lectures by socializing and you will do great and learn something. Be rude and prepare to be booted out the door. You get your $$ worth.
Took the special topics course titled reflections of myth in film and it was awesome. He and Del opened up a new way of viewing film and made me realize that we are all still like a bunch of toga wearing Greeks in 500 B.C. listening to Homer with a goblet of wine in one hand and a lamb leg in the other. Cool course, and no book either=)
This is the way college courses should be taught! He knows the material through and through, and his passion for the subject matter is apparent. He doesn't tolerate cell phones, or absences (Nor should he, this is college). A really great atmosphere in which to learn. By far my favorite course ever.
Okay teacher, expectations and due dates are clearly outlined and cut and dry. MUST read the chapters to pass the quizzes and tests. Weekly discussion boards and 3 writing assignments. The only thing is he gave us assignments during our spring break week, but he went on a week long cruise in February. Kind of irritating.
Great teacher but strict on assignments. DO THE ADDITIONAL READINGS! Pay attention and you'll do fine. Thematic questions are the key. If you're not a strong writer I don't recommend taking his class in the Summer. He still does a semester load in 10 class meetings.
Excellent speaker, his lectures are intriguing and interesting. However, you MUST read the chapter and understand the chapter before class. Pay attention to the calender on Angel and you should be fine.
Terrible teacher that should never be allowed to teach an online course ever again. Zero response besides a seemingly automated non helpful *sorry try harder next time* when his directions were unclear and his quizzes pulled questions out of thin air and opinion. You can write double the necessary words and still get a failing grade on assignments.
Wouldn't recommend taking his online classes. He is bad about updating grades in a timely manner and getting back to you for help. His powerpoints are ridiculous, averaging about 100 slides of full text, and he expects you to read the entirety of the powerpoint and the chapter in the book. Very strict grader in writing assignments. Very opinionated
This professor expects you to read a 100+ pg PowerPoint for each section. The quiz and test are tricky and gives u a minute to answer each question. He is unfair in grading writing assignments. I would not recommend him to anyone.
I would not recommend him at all. His test are super hard because he only gives you 10 minutes to answer 10 questions. He is a harsh grader on papers. No interaction from him throughout the semester. He does not give any feed back on papers. No study guides.
You can tell he really knows his stuff, I can tell he enjoys teaching humanities. its a really easy class as long as you read the book and come to class prepared, he does give pop quizzes which come from readings in the book. I had a rough semester and was teetering on 79.7, he actually bumped up my grade for me. Very nice guy, give him a chance.
this guy really knows his stuff. he teaches very well. you have to write short essays before each test that is kind of tedious. tests are pretty basic if you actually study. overall i recommend him
I did not like this class he is a hard teacher and his power points are crazy long. The textbook doesn't help either. He is a hard grader and if you miss and assignment or do bad on an assignment your grade goes down. I didn't like the way he graded he was to hard on everybody.
I would NOT recommend him if you are looking for an easy A. A LOT of work and time for an online class. I got a high C, my first C in college ever. I did hear from numerous people that he is good in class, but definetely NOT online.
I took this class online because it was required for my degree and I really wish I would've taken someone else. His directions are very vague, & when you ask him a question he always tells you to refer back to the syllabus as his response.(Not very helpful) He is a tough grader and will not let you make up any work whatsoever. Stay away if you can.
AWFUL teacher! I spent 8+ hours on one assign. & he gave me a 56– YES, an F! If you have tech issues, not his problem. Other quizzes if you miss them- NO making up. I’m an “A” student and am SO upset right now I don’t even know if I am going to pass this ridiculous class. He has his own book and the chapts are not in order- STUPID. STAY FAR AWAY!!!
Professor Montgomery is an excellent speaker and clearly defines what he is looking for. People who do not want to do the work..... FAIL!!! This is a GORDON RULE class. You have to read so you can write the minimum word requirement by the STATE OF FLORIDA!!! Ignorance is bliss so get your head out of your #@$%!!!
Professor Montgomery is an excellent speaker. He clearly defines what he is looking for. This is a Gordon Rule class so reading is needed so you can write the minimum word requirement. Put in the work and you will get a good grade.
Horrendous grader and not clear with directions. Be prepared to write a minimum of 4,500 words for his 3 writing assignments (1500-2000 words each! ). I seriously struggled to earn a B.
awesome prof! attendance is strict but he makes his lectures interesting. would def recommend
He is an amazing teacher! keeps the lectures entertaining and very easy to understand. lots of quizzes but easy of you keep up with the work and actually read the book
cool guy attendance is required but he keeps class interesting at least
Lots and lots of work! But if you take notes and study all the lectures it isn't that bad! It just takes a lot of studying, and remembering all the right people with the right stories. But he is extremely understanding and nice, I'm completely happy with my final grade in this class, as tough as it was, I am very happy I took it with him!
Hum-2210 online is a very interesting class. His PowerPoint lectures are put together very well, engrained with short videos to watch throughout to keep it interesting. Do the required reading, take notes and you shouldn't have a problem. Quizzes and exams are clear-cut, no trick questions. Learned so much from this class. Would Recommend.
Be prepared to write. He is a tough but fair grader of essays. His PowerPoint presentations are ridiculously long, but very thorough and easy to understand and remember. His feedback is quick and well explained. I really enjoyed his class. If you study, you can do well. I took him three times, and averaged an 88%
He is quick to respond to emails and will answer any question you have. I took the online class, so there was probably more reading involved than normal, but everything you need for the tests and quizzes will be in the material. For an online class I really got the impression that he loves what he teaches which made it more interesting. He's great.
I did not know I was interested in humanities until I took his class, and it is amazing. If you pay attention, you will be inspired and do well in the class.
AWFUL. Not willing to help at all. needs a life
I took him online, so never met him. He responded quickly to emails, and answered every question I had. Even if it seemed like something obscure, he knew it. Very knowledgeable.
What is really fantastic about him is that you can tell he loves what he is talking about and that shows through his enthusiasm during his lectures. DON'T let your phone go off in class and DON'T leave, not even to use the bathroom. He WILL kick you out. BUT he can be very understanding if you sit down and talk with him.
Very passionate about his teachings, and every lesson is from his mind instead of just reading from a textbook. He uses powerpoints to assist, but the content is in lecture format from him. He is very strict about attendance, and is adamant with his rules. Follow them, and it will be one of your favorite classes.
Pros: Great teacher and he knows his stuff. He was very helpful many times, plus his lectures are easy to follow, not to mention he's nice to look at. Cons: Will kick you out if you're late or if your phone goes off in class. Also, he doesn't allow anyone to leave during class. Follow the rules, show up to class, pay attention and you're golden.
Amazing teacher. He's well traveled and versed in all that you could imagine dealing with this class. He makes jokes and involves the class. He takes his time explaining things. Easy to follow, entertaining, funny, GORDON RULE CLASS!!!!! No phones and don't be late.
I loved this class, and I want to visit all the places I read about! The PPT lectures are great, the book is very readable. Professor Montgomery's love for this subject is so obvious, and very inspirational. I don't think I've enjoyed a class as much as this. It's Gordon Rule so be prepared to write but the topic areas are so interesting.
Great professor, very understanding and made lectures interesting! You can tell he's passionate about humanities, and if you pay attention it's an easy A.
Amazing lectures. Tests are straight from class presentations, therefore attendance is mandatory. Be on time. Absolutely no phones. Gordon Rule 6,000 written words are spread through semester, so no big paper. Highly recommend.
Took his class online for Summer, very easy. What you're graded on is very clear, just read the book and lecture presentations and that's it. The quizzes, tests, papers all comes straight from the material. Regret not taking him in person since Ive heard he's actually caring and respected, and knows how to convey the information.
Professor Montgomery is amazing. He is sweet, easy to get ahold of and wants to help. He is very knowledgeable about humanities in general. The course online however isnt so awesome. There is a ton of reading to do, and many many quizzes as well as the profs own tests via canvas. There were 2 papers to complete, but those were very easy.
AWFUL . DO URSELF A FAVOR - RUN
The teacher is passionate about his lectures. Hes is great at explaining the subjects. He is very strict about being on time or having phones go off during class. He will kick you out. Attendance is mandatory! Stay on top of the week to week assignments, lectures and power points or you will fail. Be prepared lots of reading online or textbook.
Great teacher, but NEVER be late to class or absent. Respect his rules and you will be fine! No outside talk in class! He takes his teaching serious, as he should. Rarely cancels class
Online class was boring and hard. Grades harshly for writing assignments, and doesn't give you expertise for why you were graded that way. I've gotten A's in every other college English class, but got a C on every writing assignment in his class.
worst professor i have ever taken. has his own awful book that is out of order. my advice dont take his class
Turn your phone off in class or you'll be kicked out. Don't be late or he'll kick you out. He gives you study guides and everything is right from the powerpoints or either the book. Yes, he is strict however just follow the rules, turn in your work on time, and you shouldn't have a problem.
Easy, straight-forward online course. Do the assignments and you'll get an A.
Show up, take notes, and you'll get an A. A little strict but keeps class interesting.
This class was the best class I have taken throughout my time at SCF. He teaches very well and makes the material very easy to understand. He cracks jokes and allows his students to be engaged in his teachings. If you don't come to class you will fall behind. This professor makes the time worth it. Plus he is cute :)
I thought this course was going to be difficult with the writing but I enjoyed doing them. There are 3 writings. He has excellent powerpoints and provides reviews for upcoming tests. He uses both textbooks and powerpoints for testing. He emails very quickly and clearly if you're confused about an assignment. He also added extra credit at the end.
As someone who hates history, professor Montgomery really impressed me. I actually enjoyed the lectures and retained the information well. A couple reading or video assignments per week with quizzes, two Unit assignments and a final. Overall loved the class, teacher & material
Professor Montgomery was one of the most amazing teachers I have ever had. You can tell he has a true passion for what he teaches and strives to make others understand as well. He is very approachable inside and outside of class and as long as you do the required readings and short few question quizzes on them, its a breeeze!! Plus he is cute!
Very lazy. He just makes you read the textbook and answer 10 questions in 10 minutes. He doesn't actually teach you anything himself. The class itself is okay. He barley reads the reports and gives you a 100.
I took this course online, so I didn't have any direct interaction with Professor Montgomery, but this class was easy if you're looking for an easy A.
Prof. Montgomery was amazing! You can tell he is truly passionate about the subject and gives detailed daily updates every week to let you know what is to come. If you actually read the textbooks and watch the videos, you will learn A LOT about the history of not only the arts but civilizations as well.
One of my favorite professors at SCF. Truly loves what he does and you'll notice by seeing the way he gives lectures. Strict, but also very welcoming to clarify doubts or any questions. Be ready to read; if you put in the effort you can get an A. Definitely recommend him!
Professor B is the best. He lets you work ahead, which is perfect for those who work full-time. The chapter reviews correlate with the tests. He is organized, accessible and although Ive seen negative reviews on is his criteria for grading papers, I disagree. He gives you every question that needs to be answered in the reports. Great class!
Awesome class! would recommend Professor B.
This is an outstanding professor! I Had him for spring 2021 along with taking another class, the difference in the way they handled certain situations was so drastic, he was definitely one of the best. I wish every professor was like him, he listened, he responded promptly and was always there to help if you needed it. Highly recommended- Chrissy
very nice professor with clear instructions on assignments. its a really fun online class because he gives you enough time between each assignments due date. he always checks in on his students and make himself available for anything his students may need. i highly recommend this class.
This online class was pretty nice. Professor does not give too much hw.
I enjoyed this class; a bit of hw, but it is easy.
One of the best professors I have ever taken at SCF! He responds to emails quickly and is always super nice. Not too much homework, but a lot of textbook reading. He has 2 big assignments, but they are easy and help you get out of the house! This was my first online course and he made it one of the best experiences possible! Definitely recommend!
Professor Montgomery is just amazing. He is super nice. He checks in with his students every so often to see how we're doing in the couse. And that if we need any help we can always come to him. He is very passionate about teaching and he really cares about his students' success! I def. suggest taking this class!
This is the only class I have thoroughly enjoyed. Had to read an entire textbook but it was interesting. Finished the class with a 99% and he drops 2-3 of your worst quizzes. Best professor I have had.
If you do the work you will receive an A+. He has straightforward requirements and you can tell he has a passion for what he teaches. I visited a museum and saw a play which both had their own 800-1000 word paper but with clear criteria, it was not difficult. Weekly there are short video quizzes and reading quizzes but they are easy to comprehend.
One of my favorite online classes, he was clear in his expectations and his assignments were easy but super informational. I learned a lot from this class and you will too.
This is a second class I am taking with him, and planning on taking another one. If this doesn't show how nicely organized and easy his classes are, idk what will. Take him.
Easy online class, you have to do the work, read the book and know the study guide. All tests and quizzes are timed, but not proctored. Take what you will from it. Can finish early.
Seems like a pretty cool guy. Work load wasn't bad, was just right. The book has a lot of reading needed for each test but overall class was fine.
This class is a breeze. There are only three "big" essays, each just 800 words long. The grading isn't tough at all. Basically, if you do the work, you'll get an A. I absolutely love this professor.
Professor Montgomery is laid back and awesome! There are weekly chapter reads then a quiz, one essay at the end, and he does require a visit to a performing arts show or an art museum for the one essay. I took him online Fall 2023. He has three exams that are all multiple choice and easy to pass.
I love his class soooo much his assignments are easy to do, all his unit tests are multiple-choice choice and he drops the lowest quiz grade and assignment. You still have to write a couple of essays but its very clear how to write them and is extremely lenient on how he wants it.
Loved Professor Montgomery!! I've taken a couple of his classes before and really enjoy them. Weekly assignments includes PPT/Sway readings, video quizzes (average 4-14min), and 5 question quizzes. Three unit exams include: 45 question test and two 400 word written responses. His does a great job at making his classes and assignments interesting!
Professor Montgomery is one of the best professors I've had all semester! It's impossible to fail his class unless you're super lazy. He's not tough on grading and gives you many chances to improve your grade. I highly recommend him.
Prof. Montgomery was a great professor who gave good feedback. The course had a lot of reading and interactive videos. As long as you did your work, you would get a good grade. He also offered extra credit at the end of the semester.
This online class was very easy and the professor was laid back and friendly. Tests are curved and your lowest quiz grade is dropped at the end of the semester. You can also work ahead. Expect to read 20-30 textbook pages a week. Finish the humanities experience report early in the semester so it doesn't get in the way of your other classes.
Took online, the reading material was all provided by the professor so didn't need to buy any textbooks. Lots of writing assignments but most are smaller assignments so relatively easy. He was easy going and helpful, and graded assignments very quickly with clear and easy to understand feedback. Would reccommend the class.
This professor was absolutely great! He is accommodating and understands that life happens as long as you communicate with him. Each week there are 2 quizzes from the textbook and videos but they are short. 3 tests throughout the semester. He gives good feedback and grades quickly. I would definitely recommend this professor!
Best Teacher i have in a long time. He explains the course lecture like he made the book himself. He know the materials. Please, i encourage you to take his class and you won't regret it. I am 45 years old and it's hard when you are older and have lot of responsibilities to able to focus on school, but Professor Brandon made it easy to understand.
Professor Montgomery is a laid-back and engaging instructor. The workload is manageable - weekly readings, quizzes, and a few essays. Using unstuck study alongside the textbook made studying a breeze. Highly recommended!
A great professor who is simple when it comes to teaching and gives out little to no homework. We have quizzes every now and then with a test sometimes, but they are often reasonable. Would recommend this professor to anyone.
If I could take him for every class I would. He is funny and caring. He is super knowledgeable and has great stories. The assignments are super easy and there is not much work. You do have a final essay that requires going to the museum, but it was fun! Lots of video assignments where you answer the questions while watching the video, they're great
Very engaging & organized. He drops the lowest quiz grade and video quiz. A single chapter was covered each week, spilt into 2 sections, the 1st sec due Wed and the 2nd section due Sat. About 5 short videos a wk, under 10mins, w/simple questions. No discussion posts (only intros in beginning). No Final, only 3 exams during semester, not proctored.
Great professor! The topics taught were very interesting, I always felt very engaged in the assignments he gave, and he is very understanding and caring! Very clear with grading criteria as well. If I could take his class again, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
I would definetly recommend taking him! He is good at reminding and giving time in between exams and projects needed for the course never to much
He acted in a way that made me feel uncomfortable and bad about myself. Extra credit was nothing education related. Not sure how he is still teaching.
Made me feel bad about myself. Didn't learn much but got an A due to extra credit that was off the record. Do with this what u will.
This professor screamed at me over the phone, then started being extremely nice, offering extra credit and to take off the books private tutor sessions with him. I was extremely thrown off and dropped the course even when I was getting an A
Great summer class! Everything was laid out and easy to work through. Chapter readings and videos make up most of the work. He was quick to respond to my questions and emails. Would highly recommend!
easy... took 12 week course online and it was so easy. 3-4 assignments a few times a week but they literally take like 20 minutes to complete. He also drops ur lowest grades and gives extra credit. Exams are easy.
Easy online class to take, workload is manageable and the only big assigment you have to do is a report by which you have to attend to a museum or play. I would definitely take this class again.
Great teacher, easy but interesting class, forgiving about things, interesting subjects covered and learned great things
The class was super easy, just based on the textbook. The video quizzes are not difficult at all, just a few minutes. Only difficult thing is the Experiences Report, but he lets you know about it when the course starts. Highly recommended!
100% the best professor ever. I can't say enough good things about him. Very easy class. I highly recommend. I wish he taught more classes! There's an essay final that's 800 words. You have to visit an art museum or go to a performance (it's free for SCF students) but don't stress at all. It's super easy, coming from someone who has a low IQ
